The difficulty comes from the hunter version of Campbell, Fool's Gold hyper focusing on you rather than getting rid of the survivor version of himself. No, he rather have you stumbling to set you traps, to recover when he hits you.

Toying with you, he chaired that nurse and the professor to get them out of the way. Norton is too far away by now to get to you.

Plus this is Golden Cave, knowing himself, Norton is likely having a breakdown, heh.

Fool's Gold is obsessed with you, the matches you've had with him have always ended with you struggling to escape or having to cipher while Mercenary or Batter get his attention (having to up their game to achieve this). Norton has been trying all this time, but he knows himself.

Once he has you isolated, he grins like a cat that got the cream.

You struggle as he pins you down on the ground with a pickaxe, the large handle pinning you down as the pickaxe itself digs into your shoulder. Painful, greatly, but the panic of the large ore of a man opening your legs is at the forefront of your mind.

It is no secret that the prospector and yourself are sort of a complex item. Very complex, as he is the one who caused your blindness— This blindness that gifted you this strange ability to pick out the sound of certain materials, rocks like gold or diamonds to name the popular ones.

Being a miner is all you know, you swore to kill Norton Campbell.

Now you both are fighting to stay alive in this manor's games.

Fool's Gold laughs at the way you resist him on the pure fact of embarrassment, touching you through your worn denim pants, his solidified hand between your legs.

“How long?” Nurse left when Norton showed up in your room. Dark and brooding. You sit on the bed with no shirt on, chest exposed. Like him, you are covered with scars from the blast, and worse is the section of your eyes. The skin never healed properly and most days you are grateful not to see what makes people gasp when they see you without your partial mask.

“Two months into the job.” The door is closed and locked behind him, “You cared.” He starts removing his shirt, you hear it then tilt your head up when you can smell him. His hand touched the side of your face that wasn't too ruined by the explosion.

“Your standards are that low, Campbell?” Teasing him.

“If mine are low, yours must be in the ground.”

You click your tongue annoyed, you pull him forward by grabbing him by the waistband of his pants and falling backward to bring him down with you.

Hello I was thinking about the Norton x Nurse Reader and immediately thought of his B tier skin Jarhead.

And a fan made game which i recall is called white tombstone, basically where the skins in the same essence as Jarhead (Norton's skin) plus some additional characters.

I think Norton's and Nurse Reader have like the some similarities for Ada and Emil's relationship or connection.

Well it wouldn’t be surprising though…he DOES suffer from paranoia.

Though the doctors do warn you not to let your guard down. Norton is smarter than you’d think. Thus explaining how others refused to be in charge of him and the last option was you.

So as we all know:

So he might grab a little too hard on your waist for the whole day to keep you from going anywhere…

While there is a gradual shift towards warmth and trust in your relationship, the journey is fraught with emotional turmoil and challenges, reflecting the complex nature of Norton's mental state and your unwavering dedication to his well-being.

"What do you blog about on well… this blog?"

I write Identity V x reader headcanons, shorts, and drabbles! I will potentially post some art and stories of my OC that I created for the game as well, and rarely will I share my Canon Character x OC works.

"Whats is your gender focus for readers, Saey?"

I try really hard to make the majority of my works gender-neutral so my headcanons are available to a wide audience of people. I do not often write male!readers as I am not comfortable with it. I do write a good portion of female!readers, however. It just depends on the vibe I try to go for in a headcanon and for comfort's sake!

"What characters will you write about?"

To be honest, I am not sure •᷄ࡇ•᷅ I really like writing boys, and I am looking forward to writing a lot about my favorite character Joker! However, this doesn't hinder me from writing about really cute girls! Below, I will provide a list of all the characters I am willing to write about, so please reference it before requesting, or your request can and will be deleted! ♡

I always have and always will! The format above the image space will always contain the prompt/request, the hunter/survivor and the identity, warnings, the reader's gender, and an author's note!

I would really prefer it if you sent a request in the following format:

Provide the hunter or survivor's name + alias [example: Can you write for Joker (Weeping Clown)...]

Provide if you would like headcanons, shorts, or a drabble*

Provide the prompt/idea you have [1-5 sentence preference!]

Provide any additional comments you have for me please!

I would prefer if requests were formatted this way for the sake of clarity. If you provide too much in the prompt/idea, chances are I will not respond to it, as I like room to have some creative freedom! Plus, requesting in this format makes it much easier for me to know what you would like!

*Guide to type requesting: Headcanons are bullet pointed and short, with summarized ideas of how I see the relationship between the reader and a character. They do not have fleshed out sentences and tend to be brief, short, and simple; Shorts are short stories that are bullet pointed! They can be easily compared to oneshots, except on my blog I bullet point them to make it easier to read; Drabbles are my own ideas that are brief and unformatted entirely (<100 words) or fleeting ideas without a guided plot. They are just for me to test new ideas I never tried before.

"When will I be taking requests?"

I usually will let you all know in a blog post so be on the lookout for those, because they will pop up! Usually I will take 3-5 requests at a time, depending on what is requested

"Are there limitations to how much or what I request?"

I tend to not have any limitations when it comes to what my readers can or cannot request, let alone how many requests you send to me! If you have seen my past works, you probably know I am a dark / 18+ / angst writer first and foremost. Don't let that stop you from requesting fluff or soft content though, because there is a chance I can create something if I am inspired! However, I will not write any mature headcanons for canonically underage Identity V champions. There will be no exceptions to this.

Hunter Norton Headcanons

He does have some feeling in his rocks - obviously, his hand has some sort of nervous system for it to function - and a lot of it is held together by some sort of magnetic system (as well as magic). His legs are partially made of flesh as well, but the flesh of his torso ends at the shoulders.

His left eye is some sort of light, and he still does have an eyelid, but he can’t turn it off without closing the eye.

As he doesn’t have a proper stomach, he doesn’t have a digestive system, so whatever he eats eventually passes and has no nutritional value - he isn’t really in need of nutrients. The energy he uses, like many of the undead residents, comes directly from the manor.

His hugs aren’t particularly pleasant; it’s all scraping rock and an awkward coolness. It’s worse if he has to bend down significantly, as his back would still hurt and his knees, wherever they are, would protest, even though he doesn’t have much of a joint. His large, boulder-ous hand would wrap around your back, and he wouldn’t be very much aware of how much strength he’s exerting.

Seeing as his stomach and legs are made of stone, his dick might as well be. Unlike the rest of him, it’s one smooth long stone, and can have an erection. It’s not soft, and it’s hard to manipulate it, but is a bit more sensitive than the rest of him.

Didn't trust you at first

He's wary of everyone, but even after you had learned the horrifying truth of the manor, you had high spirits for everyone including yourself

Of course you were scared shitless just like every other newbie, but unlike him, you didn't shield yourself away from people

How envious he was of that natural click of yours

Introverted or not, you were still friendly and approachable when the atmosphere was right

His stoic stare and large build intimidated people. Great attributes for scaring off unwanted trouble back in his part of town, not so great for making potential friends in a never ending death game.

Even the nicest ones hesitated to talk to him from time to time

It's not like he wants everybody to be buddy buddy with him all the time. All Norton wants is something to ease his loneliness.

The only time where you could've interacted with him as a rookie was in matches

Sitting next to him, slightly panicking and asking him for tips, staying near him in the beginning of the game, etc.

"Don't wait at every pallet, but don't be scared to put one down if you need to. With some hunters, it's better to keep a decent distance."

Norton slightly felt like your teacher. It's funny in a way, but it's not as if he hasn't been a sort of mentor to newbies before. Everyone here as given tips and tricks to each other since the start of this wretched game.

But it felt much more different with you. You thanked and complimented him with a genuine smile on your face

No one here in this manor is sane nor is a morally good person. Only a select few are ethically innocent.

So why were you any different? Surely you were not one of those innocent few if your joyful facade hadn't cracked by now.

You must be a ticking time bomb that's been holding off for an insane period of time

Whatever the reason, it didn't matter. All that really stood out was your general kindness.

Scared of his tall stature you were, but within that anxiety, you had found a way to pass over his wall.

You had treated him like any other person. Sort of like a friend? A bit of friendly banter and failed small talk was attempted at times.

Though only silence was given in return, your failed communication was not in vain

Norton had wanted to say something back to you, but as hard as he tried, there was nothing to respond with. An unwanted lump in his throat prevented him from doing so.

The more you waved at him, glanced at him, played matches with him, supported him, saved him, paid attention to him...

The more and more it made him happy.

He loved but hated you.

How can someone be so perfect? Someone like that can only be too good to be true. That's why he kept his distance and true feelings far away from you.

Even though you were only trying to be friendly, Norton thought you were trying to deceive him. Feeding him up on white lies and great treasures like happiness, only to pull all the shit back onto him.

It's only when you reassure him after a bad match is where all the pieces finally click together.

"I don't think you did anything wrong. If anything, instead of dwelling our mistakes, we should be focusing on our health. So, you okay?"

... How comforting of you. He questions you for the first time in forever why you would want to worry about other people and not yourself.

"Because, you're my teammate. Maybe not friends, but we got each other's backs when we need to."

Maybe not friends? Well, maybe you two could be better than that.

Norton's head went blank that moment

You had given him a comforting smile and announced your leave while reassuring him for any help he needs in the future

He was alone again. Not only did fear and regret accompany him now, but a strange new feeling grew beside him aswell.

Ever since that day, every time you pass by, your figure becomes the magnet Norton is forcibly attracted to

He loves seeing you smile and laugh at stupid jokes that don't make sense. He loves your silence when your relaxed demeanor takes over.

There's no way your parents weren't popular for their looks. If not, how else would you be so beautiful? There may be other survivors here that are subjectively more attractive than you, but he doesn't care.

So what if that other person has a better eye shape? So what if that other person had a better silhouette? As long as he can look at you the way you are now, Norton does not give a damn.

Every feature and flaw is what makes you human. It's what makes you yourself! Every detail is worth noting for. He can prove it too! The writes in his diary all the time about your smile lines show in that one window lighting.

It's beautiful. Why would he even try to attempt to compare you to diamonds and precious ores when it'll all be futile? You'd just win too quickly.

Norton loves observing you. His intimidating appearance keeps people from confronting him about following you around from time to time.

"... I don't know what the hell you're talking about." Norton claimed, knowing full well that he was watching you from afar.

"I may not know the whole situation, but Campbell, you're acting really shady. I suggest you cut this act." They threatened.

Norton looks down on them, acting as if he was far above them, "Or else, what?" He takes a few slow steps forward and glares even harder, "Do your worst."

There is no way in hell they're defeating this 6'1 miner. They may have their courage and wits with them, but what will they do after their throat has been severely injured after being thrown across the room?

Oh right, nothing.

So that's why they stand down and retreat back to their rightful place. Not anywhere near you that is. Norton will make sure of it.

He hates it when other people talk to you. Even if it is the couple friends you've made here, he still gets incredibly envious.

An acidic churning breaks down every moral in his heart and stares daggers into those other people. Ah, it hurts so bad, yet you're still as happy as ever.

It's like you enjoy breaking his heart when your wrap your arms around their shoulders and say how much you missed them.

Don't you miss him? Don't you want to hold him? You said you'd be there when he needed help. You said you'd comfort him any time he'd be feeling blue.

You liar. Betraying him the second he turns his back. How dare you even think of looking him in the face again? With that dumb fucking happy go lucky facade yours.

You should just die like the rest of them. Making him work day and night only to get little to nothing in return. Just die die die die die die die die die die die

Norton didn't really mean that... He's so sorry, he loves you too much. His feelings for you just blow up and twist out of proportion when he gets jealous. His mood swings get the better of him.

They come and go so fast, he can hardly keep up

Even then, when he's not with you, all kinds of memories come flooding back to him, making things worse

When it gets bad, sometimes matches remind him of being in the mine. It all comes back to him at a light speed pace.

Manual labor. The smell of sweat running down his chest, infusing with his small wounds. The constant activity, no moment to rest, the thin frigid underground air...

The humidity of the Lakeside Village only worsens it sometimes. Long hot boring summers wrapped around his already exhausted body made it feel like he was in hell itself.

He didn't do anything wrong, all he wants is just little money. After all, without it, the world stops spinning on it's axis and the ozone layer starts breaking further.

Maybe it's his punishment for being alive.

There isn't any reason he should be. All he was to his shit excuse of a father was another mouth to feed and an extra pair of hands to exploit.

Why was it so different now?

There have been many kind people he has met during his stay at the manor, but there hasn't been anyone quite as unique and human as you

You were talkative, yet you were laid back. You didn't treat anyone differently based on first impression. Everyone was a good friend once you talked to them, and you didn't doubt them one bit

Such a naive fool you are. Yet, that naivety granted you happiness with other people, even when they barely conversed back.

You were the best thing that has happened to him. All his life, it's been the same routine. Wake up, get ready for work, slave away at some rocks, eat, go back home, repeat.

Now that Norton has accepted the manor's invitation, it's been different, but it definitely still has been as lonely as ever.

If you never accepted that strange invitation, would he still be as miserable?

That's why Norton devotes himself to every part of your being. Joy emanates from your presence and he just can't get enough of it.

He tries to talk to you, but he just can't find any good starters.

If he came up to you he would just end up standing in front of you doing nothing. You would think he was strange and you would probably avoid him from then on.

Unless you start complimenting him, or start rambling about random stuff, then this whole situation is a no brainer

Norton: *A smile starts to creep up the corners of his mouth, but he turns his face away for a moment. God, the way you say his name makes him really happy*

You: Ohhhh haha, okay I get it. So uh, you liking the new essence? I think your outfit is basic but pretty cute. Too bad I didn't get anything.

Norton: *Blushing a bit* Yeah... It's unfair. Thanks though.

You: Oh don't go feeling bad for me! It's only a fancy costume anyway. Besides, I feel so much happier to see other people's designs.

He could just drop to his knees in front of you. He practically worships your entire existence. You're so much better than him, yet you're still so kind.

Norton definitely knows you're not all cookies, sunshine and rainbows, but he knows that you would never intentionally hurt someone just because you got a bit angry

Eventually, you were coming up to him and initiating conversations

At first, he couldn't even handle a conversation about his favorite food

But as time went on, he too was having long conversations with you. He doesn't have a lot of opinions as he doesn't care about anything other than things that benefit him personally, so he just lets you ramble.

You: You know, I hate it when people stand in front of pallets. Like, BRO MOVE I GOT SOMEWHERE TO GO AND YOU DO TOO IF THE HUNTER GETS ANY CLOSER!

Norton: I agree. It's very annoying. Not to name people, but there's a certain someone that likes to experiment in front of pallets...

You: Oh I know who you're talking about. Sweet person, but deadly to play with. I like their play style, but when they're at the same place I am at, I just can't help but PUSH em outta the way. It's you or me buddy!

Norton: As you should.

You: LMFAO RIGHT

The dramatics, passion, anger! It pleases him greatly that you have such an eccentric personality when you really get into the conversation.

He wishes you could share everything about yourself so he doesn't have to 'conveniently' be in the same room as you are when you talk to your little friends

You know, why do you have to talk to them when you can talk to him? You've already had a lot of conversations with him and seemed to enjoy all of them!

So stop hanging around them

"Y/n, I don't want to intrude on your personal business, but I think you should know that Tracy isn't as nice as she seems. She spends all her time in her room working on her mechanics. She barely even pays attention to you while you're speaking and just either waves you off or talks about herself. Don't you think that she's a bit self absorbed?"

Of course, none of that is true as Tracy is just passionate about her bots and tech.

But Norton says he isn't fond of her, so what do you do? You don't want to lose Norton.

You worked so hard to get through his cold walls, you can't lose it all now! He's so relaxing to talk to, and he's like a stress reliever when you aren't up for energy charged rants.

But, Tracy has been so good to you and she can spark up some really interesting intelligent conversations. She's not stupid or self absorbed at all, but you don't want to disagree with Norton too directly. What if he avoids you because he finds that you two just don't click anymore?

You stress over this, and he knows it. You want to please all your friends, but now that one doesn't like the other, how will you resolve this? Conflict might get ugly since it's these two, but ignoring this would make all the pressure weigh down on you.

He waits for a while, inputs more negative comments, and then he strikes

"Are you an idiot? She obviously doesn't care about you. If you still can't see that, then I don't know if you will be able to see what's coming next. I hope you do."

He's angry at you? Oh god he's mad at you.

These two would never have a civil conversation with each other. Tracy would be too focused on the fact that he thinks she's a self absorbed asshole, while Norton would just be insulting her further.

There's no way this is happening to you.

The anxiety pokes at you with no end. You're gonna have to lose one of them, but you don't know which one is gonna be more angry at you.

Norton definitely does not like seeing you this way, but he's doing what needs to be done. He comes to the room you've locked yourself in and knocks at your door.

"Y/n? I know these past few days have not been easy for you, and I know that I'm one of the reasons why you're scared. I understand if you want me to leave, but please, think about us."

You cave in and open your door for him. If you hadn't, he would probably would've been long gone by now (He wouldn't, he would just be genuinely upset and would try to guilt trip you further)

You slowly redact from other people and start to spend most of your time with Norton.

When your former friends try to talk to you again, wondering why they don't see you as often outside of matches, you tell them that you guys are still friends, it's just that you've just been really tired lately.

Other times, Norton speaks for you

"They don't want to be around you. That's all."

As much as you try to correct him, his stern downcast look upon you silences anything you had in mind

He apologizes and comforts you a bit after to reassure you

"Sorry Y/n, I didn't want them to be more mad at you than at me."

Since now that he's the only one you're around, Norton thinks that he can start putting moves on you

He doesn't have a good idea on courting, but he tries his best at dropping hints here and there

"Oh, I almost forgot, I got this for you. I remember you said you like this kind of thing. How did I get it? Oh just, did some exchanging with the baron is all. No no, take it. I got it just for you."

"Hey, look here for a second *smiles* You look nice today. Did you change your hairstyle? It really suits you."

"Lighten up a little. We got to flare gun the hunter at least once. It's my second favorite thing to do. My first is pallet stunning them with my magnets. Now go search for some guns!"

Sharing the things he likes, giving you things you like while risking a lot to get them, and noticing little changes about you?

Tucking your hair behind your ear/adjusting your hair, having these subtle relaxed eyes and soft smile whenever you talk to him, giving you some of his special personal trinkets, etc.

Almost makes me forget he drove you to avoid your friends

Anyway the day he confesses to you, he leads you to his room and collects something from his drawer

He puts your hand in his and gives you his most prized material possession

Some small gems he found during his times in the mines. Not anything too valuable, but they definitely are pretty. He kept things that caught his eye. A couple of things that made the bad things in the world pause for a minute.

"We've been friends for some time now, and I think it's time to talk about some important things. The day I met you was the greatest day of my life. You've made me the happiest man on Earth, and I think it's time to repay you. If you could accept these gems, I would be even happier."

If you didn't get the hint, Norton would notice and try to explain in better detail

"These gems are special to me. I guess I could consider them apart of me. So, with that said, please take these gems. You've taken my heart by storm and I would love to stay apart of your life. Now and maybe forever. If there's anything I'm trying to say, I guess it would be that... I love you."

He could barely get out I love you

Norton didn't know how he did it, but he did. He didn't plan on confessing to you that moment, but it just felt so right. He couldn't miss this opportunity!

There's no way you could friendzone him. He gave you his special gems and poured his heart out to you. If you did, would that be too cruel?

Let's say you accept his feelings. Now THAT made him cry

His cries aren't quiet nor really loud, they just sound really painful

It's really a mix of whimpering and sad groaning.

After that moment, you two were more inseparable than ever

That also means Norton was also more possessive and infatuated with you

He isn't a big fan of PDA, but if he's feeling especially jealous, you'll feel a cold hand around your waist or behind your back just below your neck

After long enough, Norton will slowly let you go talk to other people again. He trusts you way more than others now, so he doesn't mind if you rekindle some relationships.

Most guys are off limits though. He doesn't care if you like women too, he just gets more jealous of guys.

People like Ganji and Victor are on his checklist.

Luca is kinda shaky, but he knows that Luca is too in love with his inventions rather than people

Guys like William are off the table. You're gonna have so much more fun with him. He's joyful at times and can be very outgoing.

He'll reel you in like a curious fish. Norton can't let that happen.

You're gonna like William so much more than him. It's better off to cut off that possibility quickly.

"William? No. Don't speak to him. He may look nice, but trust me, all he cares about is his athletic ability."

Now if you're disobedient, Norton will not hesitate to pull you aside.

"What do you think you're doing?"

You try to explain that you're a human being and need social interaction with people OTHER than him. You make sure to tell him that you still like him, it's just that he's being too suffocating.

Sorry you couldn't find a nicer but more honest way of saying it.

"Me? Suffocating? I'm not- I don't think... I've only just been trying to protect you! You don't know how the people here really are."

You try to rebuttal his claim by saying that, "I may not know everyone's true colors, but I'd like to give some of them a chance! That's how you make friends dude. I didn't have to talk to you, but I did."

Damn. That really stung him. Norton had friendly relationships with others here before, but he's never had a best friend.

You've made so many witty jokes and had so many honest conversations no matter the topic.

Truly, he had nothing nice to say. He couldn't have. All he could do was give you that freezing cold downwards glare.

"... Okay. Be that way."

You had forgotten how uninviting he could be. You had taken his kindness for granted. Were you back at square one?

Just an important note, all the manipulation he's been doing, believe or not, is not because he likes it. He's doing it BECAUSE OF YOU. He knows what he's doing at times, but other times, it's just his emotions fueling what he does.

Norton: Then why are you avoiding me? You should just say it to me clearly already.

You: I'm telling you, I'm not avoiding you! I just said that-

Once he gets close, you start to realize. He's way bigger and stronger than you. Even if you two matched in height, you couldn't have even started to compare to his strength.

If he could push through years of mining labor his whole life, he could push through anything if he really needed to.

His mind and body have the grit to get through death inducing amounts of physical work. If he could, he would just crush you in the palm of his hands if he wanted to.

Besides, even if you did want to finish insulting him, where else would you run? You're stuck his bedroom and this manor. It's not like you could take refuge anywhere if you somehow dodge him.

You: I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. You're not pitiful, and I talked to you because I liked you. I understand that- that I got too friendly with other people. You're my boyfriend, and we should have certain boundaries with other people because of that.

Norton's a puppy that just got re-adopted

Norton: It's okay dear. You were just in the heat in the moment, and so was I. Now then, let's talk about those boundaries hm?

Crisis averted. Mostly.

Now that you two officially talked it out, now you HAVE to only talk to people with his permission.

And he wants you to visit him often. When he says often, he means at least 5 days out of the 7 day week.

You laid down some ground rules on his side too, but it was mostly about you being with him 24/7.

He now has to stop holding you every hour or so. Norton wasn't a fan of that at first, but he's gotten used to waiting. Not looking at the clock every minute or so was difficult, but he got through it.

He also has got to stop showing up at your door late at night. You love the guy, but is it getting annoying seeing this midnight sappy wreck.

Norton: But, Y/n, I miss you so much. Every night, we're separated into different areas of the manor and I can't take it.

Y/n: ... Norton, we see each other in the morning every day.

Norton: That's eight hours without you!

Y/n: Exactly.

Norton: Can't we just move in together?

Y/n: We're dorm mates, not roommates. Love you though :)

Be good after all this, and he won't punish you.

If you break them again, then it looks like he'll have to call you in for another 'talk'

Of course you didn't learn from your mistakes. Why would you? After all, Norton is all brawns and no brains.

"You liar."

Betrayed his trust not once, but twice. At this point, Norton is sure you're just messing with him because you know you can.

Things are gonna have to get physical. Maybe even a bit painful.

Takes your wrist and holds it highly. Making sure you don't escape from his unyielding grasp.

"I've been being so nice and gentle with you after all this time. I've been holding out on my feelings because I didn't want to hurt you. But now, you've made me very upset dear."

You try to shake him off, but he seems too upset to notice how tight his grip was getting.

Body language is how you read Norton. If he's relaxed, he usually stands tall and crosses his arms in a cool fashion. If he's happy, he'll have his hands at his side and he'll be at good attention.

If he's sad, he won't even be outside of his room available for any sort of analyzing.

If he's mad, boy does everything from his tone to the way he sits changes. His glare isn't the usual pissed off look, it's totally blank.

When Norton is really upset, he doesn't feel a single bit of empathy or pity for anything or anyone. He's too focused on how he's gonna throw their body out.

Of course, he'd never throw you out!

He slouches over to your height and makes sure you can't squeeze out of the small space you're in.

He has this unstable look in his eyes. Like he'll snap at any moment if you say or do the wrong thing.

"So, how do you want to apologize? With your mind, or body?"

No more nice Norton for you. From now on it's all take and no give.

With your mind, he'll break it. Telling you all sorts of cruel things whole you reside crying in his lap.

"No one would want you like I do. Everyone only thinks of you as a dumb gullible doormat."

"You take and take, but never consider to give. You're so selfish. No wonder people don't want to be around you."

"You're so fucking cruel. You're a bad, bad person, and you know that."

"The only reason you only want to be friends with others so badly is because you're lonely. Even though you know they're going to leave you at some point, you still choose to chase after them. Yet you leave me to rot."

With your body, he'll fracture/sprain a bone or two. Maybe he'll even give you a trim. Maybe then you'll know who you belong to then.

Aw don't cry baby. It's your fault for lying to him.

Injuring you: Oh, sorry babe. I just had to show you how you were making me feel. I'd do worse, but I don't want to break you... Ah, don't hide your lovely little face, I need to see your sympathy for me.

Trimming your hair: "See? You look so pretty again. Unlike your old cheating reckless self, my work has made you whole again... Oh, you don't like it? What an ungrateful brat you are. Why, I think I'm being perfectly nice right now. You wouldn't like what I else I could do to you.

He keeps you in his room from then on. Norton isn't forcing you to, it's just that you know better now.

It's better to avoid punishment by coming back to him at the end of the night.

"See how good I treat you when we play nice? It feels so much better to receive my affection than to receive a fractured shoulder hm?"

Play by the rules and Norton will be a good lover

Resist and he'll have to show his true colors

He hates it when people uncover their honest ill intentions. Especially when he has to break down that cold dream boy persona you loved just because you couldn't listen.

Maybe he'll take something else of yours the next time you disobey.

Hi there! So, I’m not exactly sure what your rules are, but what are your thoughts on a Norton Campbell x blind male miner reader? One who worked the mines, but during one of the mine explosions they use to open tunnels (or Norton’s explosion, whichever!), the reader was blinded and scarred from it? You can take creative liberty! Whether or not after the accident the reader still worked the mines or not, knew Norton before, etc. The idea spawned and thought I’d share only IF your interested. Otherwise, look forward to seeing more from you!! Glad to see there are people that wrote about him.

I keep forgetting to write rules (tbh idk what to put) but i 100% can write all genders or trans reader!

As for a blind miner! reader whose life was changed by Norton, LOVE THE DRAMA. Think about how your life was forcefully changed and from what the articles say about Norton, he mishandled the charges def adds to your hatred for him.

The only saving grace for you is something in that mine changed you like it did Norton (if looking at voice in his head as supernatural thing). You can 'hear' the earth, able to tell what rock is what just by the dound (like steel, gold, etc). It helps you keep a job barely.

If you are at the manor, expect to see a hunter version of you. Though I want Fool's Gold to have a diamond skin (listen trust me), the idea of hunter!reader with a diamond skin is hot. It takes a lot to make a diamond, to shape it, and diamonds are forever.

The conflict between you and norton will take a lot, and i mean a lot to even get you both to work together. After all, he is to you a murderer. But if you get stuck w Fool's Gold in a match, you could get a glimpse of the madness that got him.

I like to think Golden Cave fucked up everyone, but it leached onto Norton the most.

Teehee hello hello!

Can I request Norton Campbell with an s/o (preferably male but gender neutral is fine too) born from nobility that acts like the opposite of him. They've been through so much in life, almost at par with his or probably worse. And yet they still care about the others, putting everyone else first before them. They are also a little too reckless, often doing body blocks from the hunter. They know how people can be cruel but they're still generous and thoughtful, although knowing when to stop and prevent themselves from being trampled over.

This is the first request I ever received here!

Just to be totally transparent, this one took so long to fill because I honestly don’t like the noble/wealthy reader x Norton dynamic. (As I’ve said several times before, he hates the rich. And being “the exception” to hatred/bias is neither a safe nor a healthy relationship.)  I’m still willing to accept requests for it…but the time I spend filling them will be far between, and frankly they won’t be the sweetest things you’ve ever read.

“So what the fuck was that supposed to be?” Norton asks as he approaches you in the infirmary. You look at him quizzically, and it’s a welcome distraction from Emily’s aching efforts to remove the spikes lodged in your back.

“What do you mean?” you ask.

“Don’t,” Norton snaps, though a bit more quietly after a pointed look from Emily. “Don’t play dumb. I’m talking about your reckless behavior in that match. In ALL the matches. We already had a win. We were at. The. Gate. And you went back? Against the fastest Hunters possible, no less.” To be more precise, you, Norton, and Emma were at the gate. Three of your four-man team.

“I wasn’t going to leave Jose like that,” you explain, recalling how he’d struggled against the restraints of the rocket chair. People’s desperation in those moments always made your heart bleed. Jose didn’t want to die anymore than you or anyone else did. Regardless of the method.

“So you thought it was smart to go marching back out to try and collect him,” Norton says. Emily is trying very hard to look like she isn’t taking in any of your conversation. One of those spikes finally comes out, and you hiss at the sting. Emily applies a disinfectant, and presses hard on your back to staunch the flow of blood. Norton somehow scowls more at your pained expression, and you have to remind yourself it was mostly out of concern.

“I did collect him,” you correct through pain-clenched teeth.

“And nearly got yourself chaired in the process. Then what? We’d still have a three-man win, plus the injuries to attend to.”

“But I didn’t, and now we’ve a four-man win,” you express softly. Norton throws his hands in the air, looking about ready to toss the infirmary. You have to remind yourself, too, about all he’s been through. By himself. That the selfish mindsets he has are born of strategy and survival, and not empathy.

Norton pauses in his pacing and looks at Emily. She finishes applying the bandage to the wound she’d opened, saying, “Don’t take too long. I still have to dig out all the little broken pieces.” You almost tell her not to worry, that they’ll be gone and healed tomorrow, but suspect she runs this infirmary to keep her own skills sharp as much as for everyone’s comfort. When the door was shut, Norton dragged a chair in front of your bed and sat down, straddling it backwards.

“You have to stop assuming you’ll be able to accomplish every good deed your head conjures up,” he says, cutting to the point. You’ve had this conversation many times before, and it always hurts when he brings it up again.

“I can’t, Norton,” you say. “You know I can’t.”

“You can,” he insists. “If I can get over my distaste of you being rich, if I can work with people I don’t like, keep the hunters off them in the middle of matches, then you can stop trying to play knight-in-shining-armor. Everyone here knows what we’re in for and that sacrifices have to be made sometimes. Yeah, sometimes your little plans work out for you. Today it did. But your plans have gone ass-up sometimes, too, and it costs us. A draw is not a win, okay? And at the end of the day, we’re all still hoping for some kind of reward for these wins. So if we have a win already, take it. I already hate you gambling your own safety, but it’s more than that too.”

“I can’t just accept that,” you finally say to him after a long, thinking pause. “This place…is so awful. If we don’t try to look out for one another, we’ve got nothing. When I see the others hurt, or scared…I can’t just leave them to think they’re suffering that alone. And it’s not like I just let everyone walk all over me.” Norton grunts a bit and stands from his seat. He’s clearly annoyed, but he ruffles your hair a bit in spite of that. A sign that he just needs time to calm down.

“Looking out for people doesn’t just mean bleeding for them,” he says, turning to leave the room. “I’ll send the doc back in. Rest up, see you at dinner.”

He shuts the door behind himself, leaving you in a quiet, white room, with no solution in sight to this repeat disagreement.

Can you do a scenario where Norton’s and Naib’s s/o (separately) get hit by a flare gun that lucky guy shoot accidentally.

It's a concept not long enough for a scenario, but I can do general reactions-?

Norton - He's extremely upset. Norton has extreme mood swings so he would turn to aggression. This new guy, this little son of a- but... he can't turn to aggression quite yet. He has you to tend to. Your burn could be bad, so he's treating you the best he can. You can bet that Norton is sacrificing Lucky, however. Magnets do wonders with pushing teammates into hunters.

Naib - He's calmer, accidents happen. But that was idiotic.... He isn't as aggressive as Norton, but he knows they aren't getting a rescue. Naib will focus on checking your burn and keeping you decoding while he's keeping you safe. If you get hit any more, flare gun or now, Naib will take it instead. Last thing he needs is his Darling hurt....
