Okay but now I’m thinking about the age gaps. Like sure, in our current day Alastor and Vox are both old. But at one point Vox was freshly dead and new in hell and Alastor was older by like 20 years. Imagine a 30 year old having a hardcore crush on a 50 year old, then tie that in with Vox being in what’s basically a brand new world and finding one of the most powerful sinners in the pride ring, who’s also closer in age than all the other sinners he’s surrounded with. If Vox actually managed to make friends with Alastor, that likely did something to him mentally; he then had someone to help him make sense of how things worked while being closer in age to himself than anyone else. No wonder he caught feelings.

LMAOOO yeah I've thought about it, I think it's incredibly funny that vox is constantly mocking alastor for being a 1930s old timey prick as if he didn't literally live through the 1930s himself like those were his teen years/20s. I actually don't think a 30 year old having a crush on a 50 year old is too jarring honestly (although hell halting your aging makes age shit really weird) but it is really funny how ironically close vox's era is to alastor's compared to other known sinners considering their whole old vs new thing
