Part 02/??

(Think I be continueing the story nonethenless, idea is just to good to be thrown away)

... You were shocked,.. The Angel of Light himself.. Archangel Micheal... but.. he doesnt look really as mighty as many have said.

You:..But I am not dead... why am I in heaven now? I mean I wouldnt mind dying soon and met the Lord, just that a Angel? .. Took me by firstly hitting me unconcious I thought that was suposses to be diffrent..

Micheal just looked at you.. with his wings behind him and a cold glare on you... he then spoke..

Micheal:...Mortal.. are you in the knowledge of the current situation that we all find ourselves in?..

...

You:...No? I mean I regualry pray to God to stay up to day and keep myself in touch-

Micheal: Mortal, God has left heaven.

...

You just looked at him and were like.. what? How, this aint possible. God cant just disappear out of nowhere.You then spoke..

You:I.. disagree, who have I been talking to then in my prayers? I feel his presence... and I keep myself in touch with him every single day.

Micheal just continue to glare at you... but suddenly took his sword and tried to hit you with it... but you were once again protected by a blinding light..

Micheal:....How.. How is the creator of the universe with you?! I can cleary feel the power of God, going through your body.. it cant be but it has to be.. the Holy Spirit...

He fell down on his knees.. with his black hair and began to softly cry. You were astounished at the sight before you... I mean how couldnt you?.. The literal Archangel Micheal was crying before you! And told you that God left heaven... but.. you were so confused.. because you always were in his presence... but then you felt something.. he has gone up to your lap.. and cried the words.

Micheal:..Holy, Holy is our God...Lord have mercy on me.

...

Now you were just unfazed, what happend that a Angel would cry in your lap for the forgiveness of God?.. Oh boy.

You:..Why,what happend? It cant be just that the Lord disappears when I am constantly in contact with but you Angels arent? What happend?!

...

Micheal:God has left heaven! Do you not get it Mortal?!

As he said those exact words the cries have stopped and he had a tight grip on your tight.

Micheal:I cant think of even 1 good reason why God's presence is with you... The Holy Spirit of God.. within you .. but if the his presence is withhin you... you might be a key figure of finding out where he is....

At that moment he stood up and ripped your Shirt off.. he took his sword and sliced his hand and branded your chest.

Micheal: Dont even think of running away, for if you try to escape heaven all the other low ranking Angels wont hesitate to devour you... the only thing that keeps all of them away from you.. would be me.. so be a good little mortal and just listen to me.

And with that, he bowed slightly down and with a cold stare left and slammed the door and left you once again alone in that room of yours in which you still had a chain around your wrists... you were to perplexed.. and tried out but ... you thought..

You: I stil gotta pray..

So you went down on your knees and prayed the "Our Father in Heaven Prayer".

You: Our Father, Who art in heaven

Hallowed be 'Thy Name:

Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass

against us:

and lead us not into temptation

but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Right when you finish your prayer.. the door was slammed open.. and another figure appeared...

???:...How is it possible?.. After so long.. has he finally appeared once more?

When you saw the now you know Angel.. he had.. blonde hair and red eye with badanges all over him, and one over his eye.He ran directly to you and began to tightly hug you and he started to softly cry.

???: OH Lord.. where has thou been.. let this humble Angel Raphael feel your presence once more...

As he hugged you... you werent really suprised no more...Another Archangel.. and this time its Raphael. But the Angels wings, wrapped themselves around your small figurtivly small body and he began to just let out everything out...

To say that now you were fazed would be a understatement, like WHATS GOING ON, WHAT HAPPEND HERE, WHERE IS THE LORD AND WHY IS A LITERAL ARCHANGEL IN YOUR ARMS...

But .. seeing him in a state like this you couldnt help.. but feel bad for this Angel, you wrapped your arm around him and hugged him,completly forgetting your shirt was ripped a second ago and that you were "branded" by Micheal the Archangel.. but you just looked at the one in your arms and said said..

You:...Psalms 34:18.. "The lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

When he.. Raphael heard those words.. his tears began to become even heavier... you took him onto the bed and simply held him while he just cried all his pent up stress into your arms and after some time.. he fell asleep in your arms... it was safe to say,that this whole situation.. is just to weird and now that he wont possible let you go now that he has you in his embrace, after some time, you also went to sleep with him in your arms. Oh well holding someone like Archangel Raphael in your arms was something you never thought of ever doing.

You simply never thought you would ever do this.. comforting a Angel.. a Archangel much less .... Ha.... will this be a big mess to fix.

So, the idea of this as a whole can be made into a story, which I naturally intend to do, but a little spoiler in my idea is. One day you be meeting the MC, of the game version for this is something I can assure you, MC and you are 2 whole entire diffrent people my dear readers so stay tuned as I plan to literal milk out this idea that I was blessed with.

hmmmmm not really? cause while wukong is the parent nezha fuffils alot of the parental beside him and macaque.

so all three of them have duties/ A job and this is just a general HC.

macaques a mercenary and wukong and nezha are sometimes called up to heaven. so they tend to all have something other then hyperactive chidren to take care off.

so the three of them switch around responsibilities and that includes the two hyperactive/hyperpowerful babies in the house. Nezha is that older brother that changes diapers, cooks when the parents cant, help out with sorting any bills and stuff. nezha has HUGE sense of responsibility.

and so while he does realise that he has to share his dad he doesnt mind all that much, cause now he has little siblings. when theyre still young and even when theyre older nezha enjoys reverting to his younger form and be...well a child and relax. when swk cant pry his attention away from something to be with nezha, mei and mk can.

nezha in his younger form is still nezha, but ynow just a lot more laid back and kinda silly. he doesnt have as many walls up.

the only one he does get jelous and annoyed by is macaque. ar first he truly wonders why his mother wants to keep that dumpster cat around but eventually warms up to the guy where its just playful banter instead of "stay the fuck away from my father"

also wukong and nezha have had a lot of time togetor so even if that thought came intrusivly he knows, because wukong has made this clear often. he loves nezha, there will never be a time where he will "not need him around" something wukong always makes sure his children knows is that there will nver be a time he does not need them anymore.

"no matter what happens, no matter who comes into our lives, no matter who joins our family. I will love you all unconditionally. and if there ever comes a time when you need me I will not hesitate to pull you into my arms"

so yeah if nezha ever DOES feel that way which yeah he has trauma, he has issues, intrusive thoughts happen he just changes into his kid form,plops his head on his mothers arm. she asks him whats wrong.

"you....hhnmmnneed mefkjdsjnsdf"

"lotus."

"lotus your gonna need to speak up"

lil nezha looks up at his mother, tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"you dont need me anymore...."

suddenly nezha is pulled into a tight bear hug off the ground and spun around then pulled in close tightly.

"my family has grown nezha, so has yours. those are your siblings. mac-

"no"

"hahokay, well they arent only my family. xiaojiao and xiaotian love you as much as i do. also i locked my elbows your not going anywhere"

"huh?!?!? BABA!!"

to summarize, somtimes but only because of what hes been through. he dosnt actually believe it so whenever those thoughts come he just lets swk scoop him into her arms and tell him she loves him.

he doesnt often because now instead of only swk he has little siblings to love him and he loves them.

If God's real why do we have war, world hunger and a bunch of other things. I will belive once all of those are solved by God not actual people.

That's an easy one, because of sin. Is it God who is committing these acts or is it people? Because of sin, we live in a fallen world, and people are more inclined to do evil than good.

This is why Jesus said in John 3:3 that we must be born again. Only then are we given a new heart that seeks God and since seeking God will ultimately start to seek good, since God is good.

The problem of sin was solved through one Man, Christ Jesus. We can't undo our own wrongs, and everyone has sinned. The only way for someone to experience true transformation is through having faith in Jesus. We stand guilty against a holy God and the only way to be forgiven is by the atonement system, in this one and only case, Jesus died to pay the debt we never could. This is why Jesus is the only way to Heaven and why all other roads lead to hell. If you put your faith in anyone or anything but Jesus, then your sins arent paid for and you'll end up in hell for eternity, which is what we all deserve.

No one deserves mercy, but God is so rich in it that He wrapped Himself in human flesh, came to earth, born of a virgin, and His sole mission was to do His Fathers will, to die for His people. So that all who come to believe in Him for their salvation will be forever with Him and other believers in Heaven.

We've all sinned, if you repent and put your faith in Jesus then you will be saved.

you dont have to respect your elders, boomers specifically, odds are you are their elder even though you are techinically younger than them. the bible says honor thy mother and father, but jesus said he came not to bring peace but a sword, to turn mother agaisnt son and son against mother, and when jesus mother came to see him and his disciples told him, he flatly refused and said “WHO IS MY MOTHER?” pay attention becasue we are to honor our mother and father, but jesus said he came not to bring peace but a sword, and to turn mother against son and son against mother, how do those things jive with each other? because jesus said WHO IS MY MOTHER? and then he tell you, he outstretched his hands at the good people following him and said those who do the work of his father in heaven are his mothers and sisters and brothers, that tells you who everyone is including your father.

there is something deeply wrong in that generation, everyone knows it, i could give you a laundery list of great boomers that ive known, some of the best people period, but i cant give you a similar list for any generation because the examples would be far to numerous. god doesnt want you to honor satans literal fucking kids, he doesnt want you casting your pearls before swine,. they are the only generation for whom both those older and younger pointed too with perplexed disdain, as if to say “what happened?” and everyday the debate rages, not whether or not that generation is uniquely evil, but what caused it, some say television, others say good times made weak people, but virtually no one other than themselves says they arent uniquely evil. they plainly are, you are under no burden from god to respect the word of the ungodly.

it’s been a year since we first saw adam and michael again after they were locked in the cage for 1,200 years.

it’s been a year since michael picked up those fries, in amusement.

and adam eating that same fry that michael picked.

it’s been a year since michael longingly stared at adam.

it’s been a year since michael asked adam to be his guide, implying that he still wants them to stay together even now that they’re free.

and adam, happily agreeing with a smile.

it’s been a year since adam said “maybe i should pick up some kinda little job” cause he wants to provide for himself and michael. because they’re gonna have... expenses 🥺

since michael pushed that cake away because he doesn’t want adam to eat anything touched by a demon.

it’s been a year since we heard michael air his grievance to sam, dean, and castiel, not just for trapping him in the cage, but for “letting lucifer walk free, while your own brother [adam] sat in hell.”

a year since we knew of their agreement to share their vessel, michael allowing adam be, because they only had each other.

My 15x08 Opinion

Our Father Who Aren’t In Heaven

This was a pretty good episode I’ve gotta say. Some good plot twists, and surprises. They even managed to throw some interesting twists into the Sam/Eileen thing!

First, I want to say I’ve become a Donatello stan LOL I just really like that dude! He was a lot of fun this episode, being so over the Winchesters and their monster drama, and the actor was great when he was being Chuck! I could actually HEAR Chuck when he was speaking for him. Kudos old man!

So lets move along to Sam and Eileen. Its pretty obvious the show is showing us how incompatible they are. She likes hunting alone, he likes “the buddy system” and is overprotective of her. She is being a little too bossy, IMO, Sam doesnt want no “agreement” no “if I need anything from you I’ll let you know”. This isnt how things are with him and Dean. They always have each others back even when they dont need to. They dont share a bedroom, which is good. She knocked on his door, if they had been sleeping together, she’d just walk in.

Some think she is being somewhat of a Dean parallel, but I dont think so. It seems to be its own thing. Sam and Dean don't like not knowing where the other is, they always prefer hunting together, but when theyve been separated, they keep tabs on each other. Eileen didnt look very happy staying in the background while they guys did the fun stuff. A very obvious tell was when the woman on facetime said: “Do you need permission??” and Eileen just defiantly told her to send her the address. She did go tell Sam but made it clear that shes too independent for the Winchester co-dependency. If she survives next episode, I think theyre going to agree to go their separate ways. People can make good friends, but a lousy couple. Im glad theyre not making either of them bad or creepy, like control freak stalker or anything, but they dont make a good team at all.

Now for Dean. Dean bruh, you have me concerned. I know you want Sammy to be happy and you want to be supportive. I appreciate that, but you seem a little forced in your enthusiasm like you’re being supportive because its the right thing to do, not because your heart is in it, but Sam has now told you twice that its not like that, its not for him, so why are you pushing? I fear that you feel like you will die soon and just want Sam to be happy and taken care of. I hope you know by now, Sam is never going to be happy in a world that you're not in.

Rowena is back !!! I am so happy shes the Queen!! That’s some great closure for both Sam and the audience to know that even though she went to Hell, she couldnt be happier. Somewhere Crowley is smiling :)

My friend and I thought it odd though that she had Sam leave the room to lecture Dean and Cas to stop squabbling, but the more I think about it, the more I think Sam doesnt really know theyre squabbling, because if he did, hed be telling them to knock it off like always. I think Sam is being given a pass to not have to deal with it this time.

Now the best for last! Adam/Michael. How great was that?? Wow I am SO impressed with Jake’s acting and how well written that story was. Im glad that this Michael isnt as douchey as AU Michael. This one seems more like the Michael that possessed young john in s5. Adam didnt do anything wrong to Michael so Im not surprised that they became friends. There was a short uncomfortable exchange between Mike and Sam about the cage, but it wasnt very telling. I have always wondered why Sam never acknowledged that Mike tortured him, or even that he was in the cage with him and Lucifer, once he had his soul back. It made me wonder if Mike went insane quickly and didnt bother with Sam? Maybe there were separate cages? I dont know, but Sam has never spoken about him so I dont believe Mike ever tortured Sam. Sam did look a bit angry or resentful, so I think maybe Michael didnt help him, thus making Sam resentful... but “it doesnt matter” as Sam would say.

I liked Dean’s apology and It looks like both Mike and Adam accepted it. That was a very good tying up of a loose end.

Now we can suffer through a month of hiatus till we see what all Chuck is showing Sam in the visions. As we see him kissing Eileen, even though its a future event Sam doesnt seem like Sam.... he seems more like a dark Sam. But I guess we’ll see.

So overall this was a good episode. Maybe not as big of a cliff hanger Id hope for the final season but it was still good. So on a scale of Bloodlines to Lebanon Ill give this a strong 7.5. No real complaints other than Sam and Eileen have gone on too long.

and then later Adam says the same about him and Micheal, "We came to an agreement in the cage, we only had eachother."

How Robert Berens Made Destiel Canon

or The Beautifully Tragic Road to Destiel

in honor of their one month anniversary, i want to talk about robert berens and how he made it his mission to make destiel canon and the care he took approaching their relationship...

i dont know if this has been pointed out before, but i was looking at the episodes bobo berens wrote when i realized something: he wrote all the significant destiel episodes in s15. i think that means he probably planned to make destiel canon long before s15 started:

he hid a love story inside the monster story. a love story told in five parts:

• initiating event

• rising action

• climax (first twist)

• falling action

• second twist (no resolution)

14x18: absence - “initiating event”

the initiating event introduces the conflict and sets events into motion in a story.

in absence, cas reveals to dean that jack might not have a soul and therefore might not know that hurting his mother was wrong. this angers dean and results in dean telling cas “youre dead to me”. this initiates a chain of events that lead their relationship to experience a tear (or rupture).

15x03: the rupture - “rising action”

the rising action is the result of a character trying to (in this case) solve a problem but a force is at conflict with the character. for every step taken, there is either a successful or failed outcome; this pattern continues all the way to the climax.

complications in dean and cas’s relationship continue to widen the distance between them into the start of season 15 with the deaths of rowena and belphagor (for which dean blames cas) culminating in the infamous “breakup” scene. cas said there was nothing left for him anymore and leaves dean.

15x08: our father who arent in heaven - “rising action”

bobo didnt write this episode but its important to the path because rowena tells dean and cas to fix their relationship in the same episode that michael sends them to purgatory (aka the place dean realized he was in love with cas all those years ago and where they fixed their relationship the first time)

15x09: the trap - ‘climax & first twist”

the climax is the most emotional part of the story and is reached when the character takes the final step to resolve their problem. this is also where the turning point of the story begins and descends to the falling action (and if there is a plot twist, it happens here).

the first twist: dean confesses first. this scene is deans confession disguised as an apology. he might lose cas and needed him to know hes sorry. the prayer scene is so important because, if we read the scene, this is in fact, an apology, but its so much more than that. dean responds to cas’s “i left but you didnt stop me” with “i should have stopped you”. this scene showed just how much dean has grown, how much he’s trying and how much he wants to be free of the anger he feels because he realized it was what separated him from the man he loves on multiple occasions. this is deans way of saying “im sorry. i didnt mean anything i said. you are the most important person in my life and i let you leave. i shouldnt have let you leave. thats my fault. im trying to get better. please tell me you’re gonna be okay. tell me this isnt the last time i’ll ever see you. please. i love you”.

dean and cas reunite near the rift but dean doesnt want to leave before telling cas something. we know it cant be the prayer because its obvious cas heard that; this is something else, but cas stops him. this scene is them making amends with each other the best way they know how: a silent knowing. the conflict has finally been resolved.

15x12: galaxy brain - “falling action”

the falling action consists of the after-effects of the climax and every event from here onward should lead to a logical conclusion.

dean and cas’s relationship is better, they seem at peace. the silent knowing is definitely there, and they both seem comfortable the way they left things. the way things are going, they’ll likely have as much a “happy” ending as a fallen angel and a hunter can have without talking about this silent knowing. we cant forget about the looming empty deal, but knowing cas will never be truly happy, it seems like dean and cas are going to be friends for a long time...

15x18: despair - “second twist”

after the falling action comes the resolution. sometimes in film and television, a surprise second twist will occur after the climax and toss the characters into another fight. the second twist is resolved quicker than the first and leads to a speedy resolution.

the second twist here, however, replaces the resolution because the story of destiel sadly and infuriatingly, never got its resolution.

i feel like bobo was told cas was going to get killed off and thats why he knew there was no way the network would allow dean to reciprocate so he did the best he could to work around the homophobia and make destiel canon as much as possible for us.

this is the most “resolution” we were given by a show we spent years watching and loving. we rooted for the characters, we fought as much for their happiness as they did themselves. and it ended up stabbing jensen, misha, bobo, other cast members, some writers and the fans in the back.

deans face here is all i have left to hold on to and thats not fair. and its not fair that after all these years this is what they did to one of the most complex love stories ever told. not only that, but dean and cas were also some of the complex characters ever put to screen. this is not a good ending for them and it never will be. not until they both get the endings they deserve, as individuals and as one. and im sorry for the pain all this mess has caused and would like nothing more than to squeeze everyone really tight and tell you it’ll be okay.

disclaimer: I havent watched this show in full for like 5 months at least, probably gonna get something wrong and/or forget some more important bits. also this wasnt proof read I just word vomited

tws: period typical homophobia, abuse mention, f slur use, bury your gays trope, overdose mention, mention of a creepy possible age gap (the age gap hasnt been confirmed so that's why its possible), cops

going from least to most prominent queer characters, let's start with mylene cruz!

so, from the beginning of this show she has an established romantic relationship with ezekiel (although the status of their actual relationship changes frequently throughout the show) and though this was a relationship she was hesitant to pursue, it is clear that she does have romantic feelings for him and if not for them both having growing careers in very different music genres (zeke specifically working in a genre that she repeatedly labels as bad because she thinks they're ruining records + that it isnt real music because they're using someone elses piece and rapping over it, that's not really important here tho lol) they probably wouldve had a much healthier, smooth sailing romance. that being said theres a few things that happen in the show that, while not explicitly clear, or even really good coding at that—to the point where you wont catch if you really arent looking for it (and trust me, I always look for coding, hers was just so little that it flew over my head until I saw someone else mention it)—are still cool to think about!

so, for starters, I wanna mention the toy box performance, which was performed by mylene and regina, who are best friends. that's all cool and shit, and you dont really think much about it...until you hear about the fact that the show runners purposely colored a lot of the scenes in that performance with the bi colors. like. the writers after the show ended basically said "oh yeah there was plans to make her coding more explicit, but our shit got cancelled soooo" and then dropped the fact that she was gonna be bi (or at least implies bi) in the series, which puts a new twist on a few things.

now, besides the bi coloring in the background of the toy box performance (which was mostly on scenes with her and regina, which involved a lot of uh,, lowkey lewd dancing. with each other. in very revealing outfits. wooooo), there's her music! I dont tend to read too much into this one bc, like I said before, her coding is fucking light and the writers themselves said they didnt really get to do much with it, but I think some stuff with her music is interesting. specifically how her, yolanda and regina's song set me free blew up because dizzee, resident (lowkey enby coded) bicon, got their song played in a queer club. also that the song was majorly important to dizzee and started playing literally right as he kissed a boy for the first time and realized "oh shit I like boys that's bonkers". also that the song can be taken in a gay way since literally the entire thing is about becoming your true self, fully and unapologetically, which is what both dizzee and mylene's entire character arcs are about. dizzee (and a lot of other queer people, apparently), heard this song about being set free and it resonated with them so much that they got that shit most of its popularity.

speaking of dizzee and mylene, they parallel each other a lot in the way that their arcs are about them realizing who they are, coming into themselves and no longer just letting people treat them like shit in a sense (dizzee starting to tell people essentially that they can call him weird all they want, they can make fun of how he acts, what he likes, how he dresses, etc. but he likes how he is and quite literally saying "it's okay to be an alien" as he has consistently compared himself to one throughout the show vs mylene learning that if she wants to be a disco singer she needs to put her foot down, not let anyone, not even the love of her life, not even her abusive father, stop her from achieving her dreams, etc. and continuing to pursue her career with or without their support). one more little parallel that I think is interesting is during I think s2 towards the end of the show is when dizzee and thor are shown together having fun with each other, painting all over the building and each other and are basically just being happy and in love together and then they have these clips of them being interspersed with clips of mylene at a party where she is starting to realize that if she wants to get anywhere she needs to be her own main priority and that she needs to put her career and her dream, which is what makes her the happiest, above all else if she wants to succeed. idk I just think how the show made these two into a weird parallel, accidental or not, is neat. maybe not an explicitly queer parallel, but I think at least how her music and whatnot helped dizzee, the main queer character in this show, blossom, is important.

moving on we got shaolin fantastic also known as "oh no your internalized homophobia is showing-"

so, heres a quick list of...interesting shao facts:

Consistently referred to as fag/faggot (shaolin fanfaggot is my personal favorite); he gets really defensive about this despite nobody actually thinking he's queer, it's just people being assholes to be assholes, and he is the only character consistently referred to using a slur, especially a homophobic one, especially for a "straight" character. dizzee, a canonically queer character, is called a fag less than shaolin is even though dizzee actively goes to gay clubs, has a not so secret dude he "hangs out with" and wont let anyone properly meet, paints his nails, wears less than straight clothes even by the 70s standards and is just all around the definition of fucking queer (and I mean like in the weird way, not the gay way). in fact theres only like once I can remember him being called a fag and it had nothing to do with him actually being gay it was literally just like thrown out there the same way you would call someone a bitch.

Has only shown sexual interest in women, yet refuses to have deeper relationships with women in general (possibly because of trauma but who knows) but takes his relationships with his "brothers", specifically zeke, very seriously

Tells zeke and zeke ONLY his real name when zeke was planning to stop being his friend bc shao more or less got boo boo, a like 14 year old black kid, arrested for selling hard drugs; he was clearly scared and trying to do anything to keep zeke around, literally chasing him down the street and hounding him until he got zeke to stop and argue with him

Kept threatening to beat up zeke in the end but couldn't actually bring himself to do so, instead saying that zeke is "fucking lucky" before walking away

Let's zeke get away with things that nobody else can, in general just has a weird soft spot for ezekiel that he shows with nobody else

when shao found dizzee with thor in a vaguely compromising situation (like they were just shirtless covered in paint sleeping next to each other but shao had also seen everything they painted on the walls ((which some of it was sus)), it was clear they had painted on each others bodies and dizzee had been routinely disappearing with this guy for weeks now yet not producing nearly as much art, at least, as far as we audience members know) he didnt judge him but instead, waited for him to get cleaned up and then told him something along the lines of "theres a reason why im so secretive blah blah blah [not everyone needs to know everything about me]", which, in context, kinda implies that he might be a lil. a lil homiesexual. jus a lil.

whenever even the possibility of zeke leaving him comes up he absolutely loses it. he has literally cost ezekiel life changing opportunities because he thought zeke would just up and leave him for them. this could be abandonment issues bc he's a severely traumatized character, and that probably does contribute to it, but it also is just not a reaction he has to any of their other friends just randomly dipping in and out of his life soooooo

generally speaking, this mfer has got either bisexual with a big hard on for zeke coding or homosexual with terrible internalized homophobia and still a hard on for zeke coding. either fucking way, that nigga gay. he gay as hell. gay as fuck man. there wasn't really much to analyze here tbh bc the coding is just so fucking obvious if you look for it or you are/have been a gay person who's dealt with at least a little bit of internalized homophobia.

also, just a sidenote, idk how fucking old shao, but I'm praying hes like at max 19 bc I'm pretty sure zeke is a minor in this show and shao definetly is not so the whole him being heavily implied to have a crush on ezekiel thing is kinda. oof. not oof if zeke is like 17 but any younger than that? OOF.

edit: apparently the characters are only supposed to be a year apart in age but i had no clue about that before writing this post and since shaos age was never actually stated in the show i naturally assumed he was an adult since his actor Looks Like An Adult. this is definetly on me to a certain extent, but i also never saw anything about this when trying to find our their ages so 🤷‍♀️ maybe i just didnt look deep enough, sorry!

now moving on to the main event...marcus dizzee kipling :]

so, first things first, let's talk enby coding bc him being bisexual was already confirmed!

um, to start off, I just wanna say I dont think this enby coding was intentional or even really coding, it's just moreso me being a dizzee kin on main and knowing as a transmasc enby he has very transmasc enby vibes. for example:

cool, gender neutral nickname that everyone calls him

paints nails various different colors

the whole wardrobe is just a transmasc enby heaven...fishnet shirts, jean overalls, jackets and cuffed pants galore, the big colorful pins, etc

gender neutral hairstyle (when I had my fro it was very sexy and made it easy to transition between hyper masc and vaguely fem, which is pog)

comparing himself to/representing himself consistently with an alien character (though this is meant to represent his sexuality, it could also double as a gender thing too, not neccesarily bc of the whole nonbinary alien trope but bc an enby who likes aliens might heavily identify or compare themselves to whatever their idea of an alien is, whether that just be a genderless entity or a motherfucker with fly style and no need to be perceived as anything other Wacky As Hell)

moving on from there, let's talk about how his queerness is presented to us and how, while it may be a really good piece of representation, especially coming from netflix, it still lacks in A Lot of places.

so, let's start with good things!

i personally really like the get down's queer rep with dizzee bc it's (for the most part) nonsexualized and very very soft, about dizzee figuring himself out and realizing there is a place where he fits in, and about two teenagers in the 70s falling in love over their shared passion for street art. it also features an interracial couple where both boys challenge stereotypes both about queer men and men of color, which is epic poggers and very sexy. this piece of rep specifically is very important to me bc I am a queer black person and even tho interracial relationships are mostly normalized now, I've still had people give me shit for primarily dating white people in a town that is...primarily white lol

mm anyways, I can also appreciate how in the get down, dizzee being represented by rumi the alien is not a thing specifically related to gender (as it often is) and instead is about his sexuality and just in general weirdness and how it has led to him being alienated amongst his peers, poc or otherwise. him seeing himself as an alien is not about just his queerness, which is important, it is about him being a queer black man who talks different, acts different, dresses different and is "soft"—he isnt a walking black male stereotype and he wouldnt have been seen as masculine back in the 70s by any stretch of the imagination. this can be relatable to a wide spectrum of queer poc, from queer black men currently who still have to deal with this shit or to people like myself who are afab neurodivergent mixed race enbies that have always been signaled out as weird and alienated for it. dizzee is god rep bc while he has a small part in this show, his parts are very impactful, hard hitting and show queer poc of all ages that they arent alone and that it's okay to "weird", you just need to embrace it because somebody will love you for you, as thor did for dizzee.

that being said theres um. some minor problemas here,,,

namely:

dizzee and thors first kiss

the lack of development this pairing got

the way dizzee was confirmed bisexual off screen, he never said the words himself, just showed interest in both genders

the way dizzee and thor were never even confirmed boyfriends or just fwb so most of the fandom just calls them boyfriends bc Why Not

dizzee was implied fucking DEAD??? AT THE END OF THE SERIES?????? AND THOR WAS IMPLIED ARRESTED?????????????

now, these might have been things that wouldve been fine had the show been given it's full run but it wasnt which is why we are now left with probelms.

so, from the top, let's go over these: dizzee and thor's first (and only "on screen") kiss was one that was shown in a montage of other queer people making over and doing other vaguely romantic/sexual things, one of those things being a whole ass naked titty being mouthed at, but the actual kiss...was just not shown? like they really did just say "yes they kissed <3 you know this from the context clues of it being in a montage with kissing, hickey giving and titty sucking <3 but no we will not show it <3" LIKE HELLO? I SAW A NAKED BOOBIE BUT NOT TWO MEN KISS??? HUH????????

also, dizzee and thor were both fucking high as hell during this bit like this isnt a terrible thing but it's also like sometimes you do shit when you're high that you wouldnt do sober and they just never kissed again on screen so like?? like idk that's not that bad but it does kinda irk me since they deadass got no other on screen intimacy after that unless you including painting on eacher other or sleeping next to each other on a shitty mattress but not touching at all during it bc they were both at opposite ends of the mattress like half way off it

so yeah, that was trash. then we got lack of development, which kinda goes with the "dizzee being a bisexual but he never says it in canon" thing cause like...okay dizzee was already sort of a side character from the get go like he wasnt the mc by any means, but he became way more of a background character as things continued until we basically only saw him for performances or when he was with thor, yet they got no fucking development as a pairing other than "dizzee realize he gay, he like thor, he and thor spend time together and ig probably do some gay stuff but we dont really know bc we only ever see them do graffiti together now" like?? tf am I supposed to do with that shit. answer. quickly. and then theres dizzee not being confirmed bisexual, which is just a running problem with shows literally doing everything to say a character is bi except for having the character just...say they're bi? which would be so easy? like a good way dizzee and thor couldve had some development is by thor teaching dizzee things about the queer community that he didnt even know existed, thor couldve helped him understand what being bi meant and helped him label himself and whatnot but instead we got an off screen confirmation that the writers had bisexual in mind when writing him. which is garbagé.

the whole thor and dizzee never having a confirmed relationship status is also a development problem cause like literally nobody knows if they were just friends who made out, maybe fucked, who knows, or if they were dating bc dizzee does give a love confession but a love confession doesn't mean there is a relationship, especially since thor didn't say he was in love either (as far as I remember, I could be wrong, plus whether or not that really happened or was apart of dizzee literally overdosing during a performance is unclear so 🤪)

and now for the biggest issue...bury your gays trope.

during the season 2 finale, dizzee and thor are chased by cops after they are found doing graffiti, one of the cops is able to catch thor while the other chases dizzee into a train tunnel and there is a train seen headed straight for him before the show cuts to black on a train horn. the show writers claim that if they had gotten another season, dizzee wouldve been alive but since they didnt and since that's essentially super fan trivia knowledge, most people dont fucking know that and instead had to watch a black queer teenager chose death over being fucking arrested by a white cop. on top of that, thor didnt see any of that shit because he was caught and the cop started hauling him off while dizzee was still being chased so thor literally has no clue where his friend/possible boyfriend fucking is or that he's likely dead in a goddamn tunnel all alone, unless you count the fucking pig that chased him in there who wouldve died too. this shows rep was so fucking good as far as most shows go on not having major fucking problems, on not being toxic and over sexualized, etc, etc. and then they just. killed a black queer teenager for no fucking reason. like it was literally the last episode ever, it would add nothing to the plot, it would just devastate fans and devastate it fucking did. I dont cry easy but seeing a character I identified with, who I had hyperfixated on, die because he'd rather that than be arrested is terrible. it fucking sucked.

so yeah. that's my all too extensive thoughts/analysis on the get down's queerness. theres definitely stuff I missed, or misinterpreted, or looked too much into, etc, etc., but this was a fun thing to spend time writing sooo yeah!! thanks for the ask anon, sorry this was just a big rambley info dump, but hopefully you get some enjoyment out of it since it took like 3 hours at least 😭😭 feel free to ask clarifying questions lol
