to my psychotic/paranoid/OCD/other friends - you might start seeing posts in the next few days about how the rapture supposedly happened or is going to happen very soon. a group of evangelical “rapture watchers” think the rapture happened 9/22/23 for a handful of reasons, such as the dates lining up in a way that’s somehow significant.
i promise the rapture didn’t happen. i don’t personally believe in the rapture and i have nothing against those who do, but it for sure didn’t already happen. if it did everyone would know. there would be tons of footage. anyone who tries to claim it did happen or that they know the date is either lying or misguided.

one thing that i'll never understand is that when like autistic people mask they're not trying to deceive anyone and it's sad they've been forced to mask because of social pressures (obviously) but when people with personality disorders mask they're automatically trying to "manipulate" everyone around them so that they can "abuse" them and "trick" them ??? like what

I'm autistic and I love making lists. I also hope it may help spread awareness about neurodivergent people!
I am not an expert. But I do believe that we should be careful to include people in the neurodivergent umbrella. We are stronger together.

Non-cluster A people, y’all need to start recognizing that our PDs don’t make us “crazy”.
Schizoids? Their indifference and disinterest doesn’t make them crazy, nor does their flattened affect or lack of pleasure. Just because them not wanting to do something that doesn’t bring them joy for you doesn’t make them bad people or “weirdos”.
Schizotypals? Their unusual thoughts and mannerisms doesn’t make them crazy, nor does their lack of close confidants or general fear. Them doing what they feel is right is normal. Your beliefs are your realities, so don’t try and make schizotypals out to be the bad guys because theirs are odd compared to others.
Paranoids? Our mistrust doesn’t mean we’re crazy, nor does our self-preservation or self-defense. If the world was out to get you, you would be on edge too. Stop calling us burdensome because we have a normal human response to something thats abnormal to the average person.
Being schizoid doesn’t make you crazy. Being schizotypal doesn’t make you crazy. Being paranoid doesn’t make you crazy. Being cluster a doesn’t make you crazy. Being schizospec doesn’t make you crazy. We are not crazy.

having a personality disorder is not what makes someone abusive or neglectful. your abuser having a personality disorder is correlation, not causation. condemning all people who have the same pd is sanist, ableist and stigmatizing. it doesn't change what happened to you (and even if it did, making someone suffer as proxy in revenge for the actions of another person is wrong) all it does is make you feel superior to people who are also struggling and are high risk for negative outcomes.

I hate when people use the fact that sometimes people are misdiagnosed as having personality disorders to try to say that personality disorders are Not A Thing™.
Your autism was misdiagnosed as SzPD/BPD/STPD/AVPD/ASPD/OCPD? Cool, doesn't mean that they're aren't people who genuinely have SzPD/BPD/STPD/AVPD/ASPD/OCPD.
You were diagnosed with HPD by a professional who hated you as a way to dismiss you as "just an attention seeker"? Sorry that happened, but that doesn't mean they're aren't people who do have HPD.
You confided in a professional about a stalker/abuser and they diagnosed you with PPD due to medical misogyny? That shouldn't have happened, but that doesn't mean they're aren't geniune cases of PPD.
I'm so sick and tired of people using the fact that sometimes people are misdiagnosed with personality disorders to tell people with PDs that their disorders aren't real, or to claim certain PDs are "rooted in anti-autistic ableism/misogyny/ect", or worse, try to campaign for these disorders to be removed from the DSM/ICD.
I'm sorry you were misdiagnosed, but that doesn't mean these disorders don't exist. Trying to remove personality disorders' awareness, treatment options and place in diagnostic manuals is not going to prevent misdiagnosis, it's just going to make it harder for people with severe mental illness to get help.

Hi so this is a bit different from my usual content, but I figured more people will see it here than if I were to say it on my main since I rarely do anything there.
If you ever feel like your friends secretly hate you, or are scared of you, or are upset with you but aren't telling you, and you have absolutely no proof to back it up,
Keep a happy folder.
Here are some things you can fill it with:
Screenshots of times your friends have said good things to/about you
.txt files where you write down different times your friends have done good things for you
Photos from spending time with your friends
Photos or .txt about your friends celebrating your birthday
Photos of presents you've gotten from your friends
Whenever you have those unjustified fears, look in your folder and remind yourself that they care.
