Transparent photos of the 3 Pokemon cakes we made during our last Twitch livestream! We used a dome-shaped cake pan to make these simple but cute Pikachu, Eevee and Swablu Pokedoll-inspired cakes!

I was sooo nervous making their faces and inserting those ears and feathers, we had a lot of close calls and tense momentss! I’m just happy they all worked out, haha. My favourite parts were making Eevee’s furry collar and Swablu’s fluffy wings.

Cake Recipe:

1 box cake mix

1 cup milk

3 baking soda

3 vinegar

1/3 cup oil

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

Sprinkles!

Pre-heat oven to 160c or 320f. Mix to combine ingredients in a large bowl, adding the sprinkles last. Grease dome-shaped cake pans and line with strips of parchment paper. Pour batter into pans, and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the cakes comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack until room temperature, then remove from pans.

Vanilla Buttercream:

½ cup butter, room temperature

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

Whip butter until light in colour. Gradually add powdered sugar, then vanilla and salt. Use gel food colour to dye the buttercream as desired. Spread onto cake.
