my perfect ending for katara was basically inejs ending in six of crows where she leaves to hunt slavers on the ships (but she always comes back <3). so like painted lady episode but larger scale enacting justice for people in the world who have no one. bc getting rid of the fire lord wasn’t just gonna fix every thing. i think that would’ve slayed soo hard and been perfect for her. even a tiny allusion to it would’ve been everything. but whatever. i Don’t care. it doesn’t bother me that she just got married and stayed home. after having to mother everyone for 3 books. it’s fine. i’m an adult. explodes .

Hey lily, how're you doing with the current "Texas situation"? Because that shit is so fuckin dumb
Greg Abbot is a piece of shit Governor. Literally so many things are going wrong in Texas that I didn't even know what you were referring to. I looked up the news and currently its about the Texas-Mexican Border Dispute. [News Article]
"The fight between Texas and the federal government over the control of the US-Mexico border has further intensified after state governor Greg Abbott announced he will defy the Biden administration and US supreme court by ordering the installation of even more razor wire to deter migration." - Erum Salam, 26 Jan. 2024
Due to this, the Texas authorities actively allowed a woman and her two children to drown in the Rio Grande this month with witnesses. It is disciple to hear such disgusting acts in my state and they are not the only deaths. Many have died from being caught in the barbed wire or shot. Horrific things like this are not uncommon to hear about in these border areas. I do not want to scare people with this information, but I think it is important to understand.
RAICES is a good Texas-based nonprofit to donate for as they provide many free and low-cost services to immigrant children, families, and refugees.

Mexican women from Women's Declaration International protesting outside of the courts of Mexico City because a prisoner in Chalco was raped by a male inmate that self identifies as a woman.
The sign reads: "Get men out of women's jails".
You can sign a Change petition here to demand Mexican authorities that justice is delivered to the rapist and that they enforce our constitution so that imprisoned women are granted the right to serve their time in prison separate from men.

genuinely @ that ask you answered: as a trans woman some of the most genuine kinship i have found has been with fat queer cis women. especially if they have PCOS or something similar because like. their story mirrors mine so intensely (and their perscriptions, lol) and it's so natural to relate on literally everything about conventional attraction and clothing not fitting quite right and the way society views you
it's refreshing and delightful to find yourself in people who are different from you 💜
I REALLY think there are so many shared experiences there!! yeah! and god, with PCOS, that has even more similarities in the shared experience venn diagram. I don't talk from that perspective but just being a fat woman, in both cases, womanhood/girlhood isn't inherent and it isn't given freely, it's conditional, it's worked for. the specific types of clothing to look feminine, the clothing not fitting, the makeup, the hair, the nails, the body shaping, the put-togetherness, all in the pursuit to be read as "girl" first, instantly, before anything else. something that another woman might have already, in her default state, regardless of the clothes she leaves the house wearing, or if she can do makeup well. She can dress up and wear makeup and enhance her femininity too, but she doesn't Have to do it, not in the same way. I have actually literally already been thinking about this, bc it's a funny thing!! in some ways, I never got to Be a girl, I was fat first and girl second. nobody looked at me and just saw a girl. I've talked to some other fat women about this, and apparently it's a pervasive feeling, that "fat" is, in itself, treated almost like some other third gender. so there's a lot to relate to lmao, in friendships and relationships w trans women, going "ah, those things you feel obligated to do in order to meet the standards of womanhood, I recognize those, I do them too"

this is insane israelis are kidnapping palestinian women in gaza and doing god knows what to them! [@/ Paliefer3 on X. -01/03/24.]
Tumblr media
A list of woman from Gaza forcibly disappeared by the Israeli forces and found in Damon Prison includes the following names: - Nivin Al-Najjar - Iman Mahfouz - Zeinab Al-Ramlawi - Namaa Abu Alkhair Saadallah - Afnan Nasrallah - Saida Salah (Al-Sharafi) - Aseel Abu Zaydah - Yasmin Marshoud - Lina Tabeel - Nahal Al-Ghandour - Zareefa (Um Rabah) - Hadeel Al-Duhduh/Al-Zhaza - Sahar Adnan Mohammed Al-Khawli - Iman Adnan Mohammed Sabbagh (Al-Khawli) - Shaimaa Adnan Mohammed Al-Khawli. [@ RamAbdu on X. 01/03/05]
We know how the IOF treats Palestinian prisoners. We know that IOF officials sexually violate and assault Palestinian women during their imprisonments. We have seen the IOF publicly humiliate, abuse, and assault Palestinian women. This is disgustingly systematic for the IOF, and I am not here to fear the worst -I do genuinely hope these women are released. It just frustrates and irritates me that no western media source has been or will probably ever be willing to cover something like this -mass sexual violence being used as a tactic of torture, as a tool to abuse that causes physical, psychological, and emotional duress in Palestinian women. The IOF is depraved, and I only wish for their demise.

Recently, 227 out of 290 members of Iran parliament voted to execute those who were arrested in the past 8 weeks of uprising. According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the number of arrested protesters are more than 14,000 people. Islamic republic has a long history of mass murders. In the 1988 massacres of political prisoners, more than 30,000 people were executed. In 2019 protests, the government killed more than 1,500 protesters during the internet shutdown. They never stop their criminal ways because blood and bone is the foundation of their reign.
These people, who have the dream of freedom in mind, are going to be sentenced to death if international human rights organizations don't do something about it. We're not talking about nameless faceless people. These 14,000 lives have friends and families, pets and lovers. Let's get to know some of them:
This is Hossein Ronaghi. He is an iranian blogger and human rights activist. He's also a computer programmer and one of his activism areas is internet restrictions and how to go around them. He has a long history of political activities and since 2009 protests, he has been a political prisoner on and off. During current protests, he was called to turn himself into Evin prison or his family will be in danger, so he did that. But even though he was there voluntarily, security forces violently attacked him and beat him. Currently he's in prison with broken legs and no medical attention and a 46-day-long hunger strike. His life is in danger.

These are Elaheh Mohammadi and Niloofar Hamedi, the two journalists who covered Mahsa Amini's murder news. This is not the first time the government arrest and punish someone who spread a crime news instead of arresting those who committed said crime. Media freedom is a joke in Iran and those who speak the truth get silenced. A while ago in an interview with Shargh daily, the newspaper Niloofar works for, she addressed sexism in her field of occupation and explained: "sometimes a female journalist would think with herself maybe I should just give up this job, this job has many safety issues and the salary isn't good at all. but most of them stay. Women journalists never give up."
Tumblr media
This is Fatemeh Sepehri, a political activist. She oppose Khamenei leadership and demands a democratic future for iran. She's a mother who lost her child custody to sexism. Her husband was a martyr of Iran-Iraq war. Her brother is also a political prisoner. She was kidnapped at the beginning of current protests and is being kept in solitary confinement.
Tumblr media
This is Leyla Hosseinzade, former Tehran university student. She didn't believe in hijab and still doesn't. She refuse to wear hijab while in jail and that put her in a dangerous situation with security guards. She's currently on a hunger strike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Faezeh Barahui, a young Baluchi girl who was arrested during protests in Zahedan, has been in prison for weeks.
Tumblr media
This is Fetemeh Mashhadi Abbas, a professor in Shahid Beheshti university of medical sciences. She was kidnapped and is now being kept in Evin prison.
Tumblr media
This is Toomaj Salehi, Iranian rapper who's songs are mostly protest songs aimed at the regime. He was brutally arrested and is under heavy torture at the moment.
Tumblr media
This is Nazila Maroufian, a journalist who's in Evin prison because she interviewed with Mahsa Amini's father.
Tumblr media
This is Marzieh Ziari, a women's rights activist in iran who was arrested and her current condition is unknown.
Tumblr media
There are many many many more people. This is just a thin list of more known ones. According to HRANA, among all these arrested citizens, 1,941 of them have been identified and their arrests have become publicly known, 438 of them are university students. Children are among prisoners too but their number has not been reported. The wellbeing or placement of some prisoners are not known and that causes a lot of concerns.

What would your reaction be to a pilot program confining male comedians to safe asylums until they prove they are safe to interact with women and kids? Ideally they would be able to perform under guard and psychiatric supervision, and after a period of years a panel of social workers, doctors and women from the community would assess their compatibility with society at large.
Which males are those? Black? Brown? Indigenous? Undocumented immigrant? Muslim? Disabled? Mentally ill and neurodivergent? Queer? Trans men? Unhoused and poor? All of those men already get arbitrarily thrown in what you euphemistically call "safe asylums" because their very existence is seen as dangerous to women and children. It's why I'm a prison abolitionist. And now you want to add the crime of making bad jokes?
See where it says "Radfems DNI" on my bio? That means clowns like you who send me asks like this. Even if you meant it as a joke, this entire premise is grossly ableist, and pathologizing half the human population frankly unhinged. Take your white female victim complex and GTFO.

the article in question:
JKR is right and there's literally nothing bigoted about saying this. these are NOT OUR CRIMES. recording this as a female crime is a LIE. it's rare for anything to be that black and white, but this is. record it as a male crime or "MTF" crime, I don't care, but as soon as you utterly neglect to mention that this violent, obsessive murderer of people and cats was raised male, we have a problem.

[ID: a message from the free melissa lucio and death penalty action campaigns. it has a picture of melissa lucio holding up her hand to the camera. melissa lucio's address is as follows:
I am writing from the Mountainview Unit in Gatesville, Texas, home of the Texas Women's Death Row, which we prefer to call 'Liferow,' to wish everyone a meaningful International Women's Day.
Women's rights are human rights, and while we can celebrate many accomplishments, there is still so much work to be done. Together as sisters on Liferow, we hold onto the hope to abolish the death penalty for everyone, and pray for an end to the discrimination and violence against women that is still happening in Texas and around the world.
