Hi!

I'm an industrial design and product development engineer and I'm in my last year of university, working on my dissertation.

For said dissertation I'm working on a desk designed from the very beginning to focus on making the struggles of people with ADHD a bit easier, keping the price as affortable as possible.

Before developing the product further, I would like to gather information from adults (16+) with ADHD (it can be self-diagnosed) related to desk preferences, ADHD struggles and what tactics each person uses to make their life easier.

As an update to this:

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who participated. It was incredibly heartlifting and motivating to see how many people were willing to helpout and provide information. It helped me a lot BUT

Uni sucks ass :) my teacher, who didn't warn me about this beforehand, said that I could not use the survey at all in the dissertation due to it not being done officially with the uni :) so..... I wrote 30 pages of survey analysis for nothing woo :)

She also made me change the whole core concept of it (making something affordable that'd fit the needs and preferences of people with ADHD, turning it into an expensive as hell, techy thing) so that she'd let me pass :)

That is to say, university is the worst but I am free and I still learnt a lot from this. I'd love to do a desk for myself one day at least using this, maybe publish the blueprints or something, but doing custom furniture is not cheap sajlkfsajlkf it'd still be quite nice tho

University is a lie but I am Free from it at last so I can thrive. Life beyond the walls of uni is more beautiful lmao

idk is it just me. or is this whole max sending out surveys about its shows (including ofmd) kinda .. icky???

in some ways. cool that they care about what people think and want. to some extent.. i guess.

but on the other hand. a fucking survey like that from the company itself. like it's a product you ordered online and the company is asking "how valued do you feel as a customer at h&m?" (which is also fucking ridiculous and silly don't get me wrong).

i really really don't want tv shows to cater to some kind of statistical average (or unhinged people who are gonna write essays in the write in options). i want talented showrunners and writers to get good budgets and good teams to tell stories they are actually passionate about telling.

So anyways my plan for the next two months is to kickass at work while I get another job and then leave their asses.

#I'm so mad about this #I've been at this company for 6 years and for the most part everyone I've worked with has been great #Easy to get along with. Smart. Caring. #I've had some not so great bosses and every once in a while I've encountered problem people #But repeatedly one person (not in my vertical but a key person in my org) #Has repeatedly made me feel like shit. Even if she claims to mean well or whatever #I absolutely never feel like we're ok the same team. It always feels like it's her team or death #Which is not an environment I thrive in #And then her boss (who is also my bosses boss) either feeds into that or exacerbates it #I wish I had had the words during our engagement survey because I'm not the only one who feels this way #So many people go into a meeting with her expecting to talk about one thing and instead she asks for something else entirely #It consistently feels like she has no trust in her team and she does not want to foster a culture of 'we're in the same team' #She is fostering a culture of 'im the boss so I'll dictate exactly what I want and I am free to change it at any time' #So. Anyways. If you know of companies hiring in their product or portfolio space hit me up. #I spent 10 hours trying not to cry at work today and then had three separate little cries #Going to going with my boss a little about taking a week off soon #He's going to be alarmed and concerned but like. He should be. #(my boss is generally great my only complaint is that he hasn't figure out how to work with his boss yet so that's compounding my issues. #But that is not all on him. And he has never once made me feel like we're not on the same team) #Blah blah ok. Tomorrow I work and then do the life shit I didn't do today #The day after that I do a second pass at my resume #And use a working block at work to figure out what I want (and sketch out my teams pain points and potential solutions)

those games' main source of income are their characters, so no matter what the stories should be directed to making the characters appear more appealing towards one audience or another. genshin impact has been doing a pretty good job at that lately in sumeru while akira enstars has been doing a pretty disastrous one. people can't pull for the godfather dude

You know how else I'm winning? I only had to spend about $5 of my actual money for the $100 worth of things I ordered!
