Hiii friends!! I'm currently writing a thesis and it would mean the world to me if you helped me out by taking this survey:
Please inform me if you find any grammatical or semantic errors!! If you have any questions, you can always write me in my DMs. Reblogs are very appreciated!! (I'm going to reblog this post several times, so you're welcome to block one of the tags, I understand that it may be annoying)

Making Hayden Christensen's tea 🫖 | Recipe
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After seeing the gifset above (from this interview), I could not stop thinking about Hayden's ginger tea. So I did what any normal person would do and bought all the ingredients required to make this tea. I did some research before doing this and used all the tea knowledge I possess (I basically just winged it). This recipe is for a single serving, but I'm sure you could eyeball it to make a full pot.
Obviously, I don't know if this is how Hayden does it. Ya'll who'll be meeting him at cons this year can maybe ask him lol
Recipe and directions below the cut 💜
Tumblr media
Hayden's mean cup of ginger tea
Ingredients
I won't give exact measurements because I pretty much eyeballed this, but it's pretty straightforward. Feel free to add more or less of something if you want!
Water (fill the cup you'll be drinking from + add a splash)
Ginger
Mint
Lemon
Cinnamon sticks
Directions
Wash the ginger, mint and lemon.
Fill the cup you'll be drinking from with water, place in a saucepan and bring it to boil on the stove.
While the water comes to a boil, smash and chop the ginger (I used a piece the size of my thumb, feel free to use more or less). Slice the lemon (I used one slice about a 1/2 cm thick). You don't have to peel the ginger and lemon since we washed them first (also who has the energy to peel stuff — not me). Pick a few mint leaves, I think I used about six, but I'd use more next time since I didn't really taste the mint that much.
Throw everything in the saucepan, add a stick or two of cinnamon. Cover and let it boil for about 10 minutes or longer depending on how strong you want the tea to be.
Pour the tea into a cup (strain it of course) and add some sweetener if you like. I'm vegetarian so I use agave syrup, but you could also use honey or plain sugar. Or since Hayden's canadian, I guess maple syrup could work too? Feel free to try whatever you want—it's your tea, not mine!
Photos
For the peeps that find pictures helpful!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Water added to a small saucepan. As it boiled, I washed the ingredients (except the cinnamon)
Tumblr media
When the water was boiling, I added everything to the saucepan, put a lid on it and set a timer for 10 minutes.
Tumblr media
Done! How adorable is this little teapot T_T
To conclude, I thought the tea was pretty delicious. It's very warm and cozy, a really nice drink for winter, I think! I hope you try this out! Let me know if it was any good! 💜

Lemon Peppermint Tea 🍋🌱
Tumblr media
This is a recipe for a cold infusion tea for mental clarity. 💕
As someone who struggles with extreme brain fog drinking this in the mornings helps me shake the fog for at least a little while.
Ingredients
🍋 Desired amount of cold water (can use sun water for energy)
🌱 2-3 or even 4 peppermint tea bags (I like mine stronger) (mental clarity)
🍋 Lemon juice to taste (energy)
🌱 Sugar (opt) (sweetness, self love)
Directions
🍋 Place sun water (or regular water) into whatever cup or glass you want.
🌱 Add in the tea bags, lemon juice, and sugar if you want
🍋 Cover with lid or tin foil or plastic wrap (whatever you have really) and place either in the sun for a few hours to infuse or in the fridge overnight to drink in the morning.
(You can place energizing and clarifying crystals around your cup or glass if in a safe space to do so)

Hey, if you're stuck in the smog rn (so, most of my East Coast compatriots) here's a quick lung detox tea to help you get the gunk out of your lungs.
- 4-5 teaspoons of mullein
- 1-2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 1-2 teaspoons of hibiscus leaf
- 1 teaspoon of marshmallow root
- Enough honey and lemonade to make it palatable (it'll be gross so don't be afraid to go crazy)
The important part is the Mullein and Ginger, so if you don't have any of the other ingredients it'll taste nasty but it'll do it's job plenty well. This hibiscus and marshmallow helps with the fatigue that comes with inhaling smog. This will make you cough! This is good!
Good luck and be safe out there!!

Marigold Tea
Tumblr media
In this cheerful and bright Marigold Tea, the piquant of the fresh flower is more delicate. Besides being quite tasty, this hot drink may also soothe an upset stomach and menstrual cramps, thus turning this Monday into a good day! Have an excellent one, too!
Ingredients (serves 1):
6 dried Marigold Flowers (left in a clean jar to dry, at least 3 months)
boiling water (at 90°C/195°F)
a teaspoon good honey, if desired
Place dried Marigold Flowers in a tea ball, and close tightly. Place tea ball in serving cup or mug, and pour boiling water over it, up to three-quarters.
Allow to steep, 7 minutes.
Stir in honey, if desired, and top with boiling water.
Enjoy Marigold Tea immediately.

Recipe: Oran Berry Tea
I mentioned this in an earlier ask, but I feel I should share the recipe for my oran berry tea for others to enjoy as well. This recipe is made to be mixed and stored in a mason jar or other sealable container. The oran berries can also be substituted for any other berries you may have on hand. Go wild, experiment!
Ingredients:
4 parts tea leaves, dried
3 parts oran berries, finely chopped and dried
2 parts mint, dried
1 part ginger, dried and ground
Also Needed:
Large sealable jar
Measuring spoons
Empty tea bags (Alternatively, coffee filters and undyed string)
If you don't have a food dehydrator, you can dry out oran berries on a baking sheet in an oven heated to approximately 60 degrees Celsius. Check every half hour to hour to make sure the berries are drying, not cooking out the juices. You want to have solid chunks of berries that will rehydrate once you put them in your tea.
Once you have everything. mix together the ingredients in a sealable container large enough to have some extra room for a scoop and possibly your hand, and shake it to combine. Ensure the ingredients are evenly spread through the mixture. Finally, add approximately 15 grams to a tea bag (or coffee filter) and tie it together tightly.
When ready to drink, just drop a bag into your mug, pour in the hot water, and wait approximately 2 minutes to steep. Enjoy the smells as you wait, and the flavors once fully steeped!

Help !! >_< Need tea recommendations.
Self-explanatory I think, but I'm wondering if anybody has any specific (preferably loose-leaf) tea they could recommend? I'm not picky whatsoever, I like all kinds of tea and love trying new things. I favor sweeter teas, but I think they're all special in their own little way.. That being said, if anybody has a specific kind they like, I'd love to know. Hoping to buy a bunch of new tea this month. ^_^ Kind of also just asking what kind of tea people like. I think it's nice to get opinions from people with the same silly little interest as me!!

Dark/Rainy Hollow Tea
Here's a little recipe for tea that serves you beautifully on a dark, and moody rainy day. It's been passed down through oral tradition, so I'll do my best to write down more precise instructions.
Tumblr media
Per your preference, decoct roasted powdered dandelion root, elder berries, and nettle leaves for ~10 minutes (use 1/2 of dandelion, and about 1 TBSP of the other herbs per 3 cups of water)
Enjoy plain, or with a dash of milk and honey for some extra flavor

If you like drinks that are on the pleasingly bitter side, you’ll like shungiku (Glebionis coronaria) flower tea.
The Shungiku or Crown Daisy is a popular vegetable and tea herb in Eastern Asia even though the species originated in the Mediterranean. Shungiku is used in hot pot stews, marinated veggie side dishes, and teas. The herb gets very bitter as the weather gets warmer, so adding too much can ruin the flavour of a dish. The herb has many traditional uses in herbal medicine, such as treating hay fever and acne, but the medical evidence shows that the plant is rich in potassium which is good for muscle and nerve function.
To brew a drinkable tea from the flowers, it is essential to let the flower steep in hot water for 1 minute before discarding the water and replacing with freshly boiled water. This allows the bitter chemical compounds to dissolve out in the first rinse, making the tea mellower in the second round.

Hello again, update on my garden. The pigeon pea plants (gandules) are growing again, the blackberry bush wasn’t completely dried and with some compost started to row again. I failed to grow lettuce , none sprouted and kinda disappointed. The tomato plants at started growing are doing great and are growing at a normal speed. I still haven’t planted my carrot seed and I’ve been saving them until i find a good place to plant them. I was able to indulge in a new interest which is tea. I was able to find some recipes that i can do at home.
Goodbye , see you later.
