you truly never know how bad people are at reading until you work retail. there could be a sign right in front of them and they'd still push it over and ask me instead.
I am no longer going to answer the door at work when someone raps on the glass with their greasy hands. There's a big blue neon sign at eye level which says "PLEASE RING BELL FOR SERVICE," and my boss even taped a paper sign underneath it with an arrow pointing to the doorbell, so if a customer doesn't have basic literacy and spatial awareness they don't get to come in. I don't think that's too much to ask. They traveled hundreds or perhaps thousands of miles to get here, spent ungodly amounts of money for a tropical vacation in the Keys, the least they could do is follow simple instructions like ringing a goddamn doorbell instead of getting sunscreen-and-sweat handprints all over the door and wailing like that vine bus lady

They can stand outside in the heat and humidity for as long as it takes them figure out that the blue glowing sign in their face isn't just a fancy light fixture and actually has WORDS written on it. I know I'm less than dirt to these people, I'm just an inanimate hurdle standing between them and their vacation, but if they're not willing to put in any semblance of an effort than neither am I. They gotta meet me halfway, quarterway, one-sixty-fourthway, at least glance in my general direction, ANYTHING!
me on my accent thread: I don't run preorders or keep an individual pinglist for accents its too much to maintain, this is for fun, not a job
>posts new accent and pings gasp to try and make sure ppl are able to have time to get gems without worrying (as is stated in my faq and nearly every single pinging post I make)
some rando, every single time without fail: hey can i preorder a slot
its funny because Percy has been spiraling ever since pjo and whenever he has a particularly bad episode you have other characters actively worried about it and you think to yourself surely they're going to intervene, surely someone is going to talk to him about it, and then like no one ever does lol
Mischaracterization in fics is annoying and can sometimes make me be like “he would not say that” EXCEPT when I do it. he would say that because I am holding him at gunpoint to do so

Jason is dating Ghost Prince (not yet King) Danny and goes on a really awesome and romantic date on his day off. He forgot to tell the fam though. So when Red Robin comes to give Jason an update on some entil, he watches in muted horror as Jason is 'kidnapped' by a glowing entity in black armor and a nightmare looking horse (Danny is a bit busy doing paperwork, so he had his Fright Knight pick Jason up) off of a Gotham rooftop and into a green portal, while the knight had proclaimed Jason as their future Kings 'intended'..
No one on coms is ready for Tim to yell out
"I THINK JASON JUST GOT KIDNAPPED PERSEPHONE STYLE!!"
Apparently much-needed reminder that reposting artists' art (by saving the images or screenshotting them and reuploading them yourself) on other platforms without the artists' expressed permission and without credit is theft and an insult to their passion and craft. You are profiting (in views, in attention, in feedback) from someone else's work and ideas, who do not get that feedback for sharing their creation.
If you are an art reposter, you are a thief and I have no respect for you.
