The real owner of Arkham Asylum is Penelope Spectra.

Near the beginning of it's life, she'd swooped in after Mr. Arkham had been driven insane himself and scooped it up. No one has seen her, and she appoints people to act in her stead.

Tim's researching Arkham because he's curious about what kind of person would want to own it, even when they had plenty of chances to get rid of it.

He doesn't understand why the new librarian, Daniel Fenton, is staring at him with horror after he explains what he's looking for.

one thing about NBC Hannibal is that there's a limited palette of other media you could really pull off a crossover with, because with most other shows on TV, the genre whiplash would just kill everyone involved on impact.

like... i'd give Sam and Dean Winchester maybe half an episode AT MOST as murderers of the week. and then Will would be like "this ritual of monster hunting they feel driven to enact, it's as repetitive and compulsive as a haunting, they're trying to lay to rest in others the abnormalities they can't face within themselves," and Hannibal turns them into an incestuous ouroboros art installation with their hearts stuffed into each other's mouths.

and then Will and Hannibal are so busy eyefucking each other at the crime scene that they don't clock that Will may have been right about the house of Winchester but the monsters are also a literal thing, and they both get eaten by ghouls and replaced with decaying doppelgängers of themselves. at which point NBC picks the show back up and it runs for another twelve seasons but it's written by Andrew Dabb

you know what, thought about it some more and i think the age difference between luka and hyuna makes sense for his character... the juxtaposition of luka being the oldest character and veteran contestant, while his child self is portrayed as a small sickly boy who hangs out with younger children... (3 years is not that much now that they're adults but it is quite a significant gap for children) portraying luka as a golden boy and dominant performer on stage while showing he's actually quite immature both physically and emotionally...

hyuna's situation is pretty true to life too, befriending an older boy and thinking he's harmless, just a soft boy, maybe he just has trouble making friends his own age... and then one day he makes a move on you. when you reject him, he snaps and gets scary and you realize you've underestimated him... like obviously luka was just a child and a troubled individual but so often in real life are young girls expected to be more mature than they actually are, and take the burden of dealing with all the bs when subjected to an emotionally stunted boy's obsession.... shes jsut like me fr....
