Helloooo, I would firstly like to say that I absolutely adore your writing 🥰🥰 and secondly, I have a request. Could you do a one shot (smut) with Ao’nung x human reader. The human reader came with the Sully’s and, of course, Ao’nung doesn’t like her. One day he finds the reader trying on different Metkayina clothing that his sister made for her and he’s interested in her human anatomy. I think he would be gentle with her as he’s much bigger and doesn’t want to hurt her. The rest is up to you. 💘
Oh my lorddd thank youuu!!! You shall receive it little one

Summary: "Are we there yet?" Tuk whined hugging Neytiri's arm. "No not yet Tuk" her mother said brushing her hair with her hand, "we'll be there soon sweetie now rest". Neytiri planted a kiss onto her daughter's head. You were flying on the Ikrans from the past morning. It was exausting. Since you didn't have a Ikran you had to fly with Lo'ak. Of course you two kept teasing each other and you risked falling at least two times. "Lo'ak would you stop? C'mon bro I don't wanns fall." you hissed him as he tickeld you for the fourth time "You're a skxawng Lo'ak" you heard Neteyam yell from above you. "Ok ok fine" he said taking his hands off your waist. You sighed in relief thanking Neteyam from afar. "Boys stay concentrated." you heard Jake yell from the front "we're almost there" he muttered as you passed by three huge rocks. After that you were too stunned to say anything. Enchanted by the beauty of the teal ocean beneath you. As long as you landed you were surronded by others na'vi, oh how you wished you had your avatar body right now. You felt so tiny, a lot of them hissed and growled at you making you regret for a moment the choice to follow the Sullys. Neteyam, Kiri and Lo'ak kept you between them, avoiding any consequences. "Are those supposed to be tails?" you heard some boys joking about the Sullys looks. "How are they supposed to swim?" one chuckled frendly elbowing his taller friend. A girl Who apparently popped out of nowhere slapped his arm. "Do not. Rotxo, Ao'nung" she stopped the two boys. You smiled at her kindness but those two still laughed at something pointing at Kiri, you couldn't help but say something "In fact we do not swim skxawng" you hissed at them. For a moment it looked like they were surprised to see a sky person talking na'vi, but that soon faded. "And what's a tawtute doing here?" The taller on teased, an evil smirk spreading on his face. You were about to say something when everyone went quiet, a man came riding a really strange mount. As soon as he landed you all greeted him following Jake's move. "We seek Uturu. A sanctuary for our family" you heard Jake conversing with the Olo'eyktan and the Tsahìk of the Metkayina. You noticed the Tsahìk walking towards you, Lo'ak and Kiri. You tried to ignore the pressure and hide from her gaze while she exposed them just for having an extra finger. You obviusly failed when you felt a big ass hand dragging you at the center of attention and almost lifting you from the floor. "You even brought a demon in here!" she exclaimed assuring that everyone could see your little figure. That caused Kiri and Lo'ak to hiss at her, Kiri grabbed your other arm, careful not to hurt you, trying to pull you away from her grasp. Jake stepped in as you struggled to get your poor arm out of the steel grip that woman had on you. "Mawey, Mawey! Ronal, I assure you she's not a treat. Her father helped me fighting the sky people when I was Toruk Makto" That word had a great effect on every one for the second time. She finally released you and walked back to stand behind her mate. He was a lot more serene than her, his voice calm as he spoke "You are forest people your skills will mean nothing here." "We'll learn your ways, we will make ourselves useful. right?" Jake said looking at us we nodded in agreement still not very convinced. After exchanging a few glances the Olo'eyktan and the Tsahìk agreed to let us join their clan. "From now on Jake Sully and his family will be our brothers and sisters. Treat them like ones, teach them our ways so they won't suffer the guilt of being useless." He announced "My son Ao'nung and my daughter Tsireya will educate your children". Oh. oh. That was the chief's son you hissed back to... Tsahey. "Father why-" Ao'nung started to complain "It is decided." his father interrupted him. "Come! I will show you the village." Tsireya looked a lot happier than his brother, at the idea of tutoring us.
Time skip - your lab arrives
The helicopter had landed carrying the lab your father sent you. Max came out of it greeting you. “Hi Y/n I brought you the lab!" He yelled trying to drown out the noise of the helicopter blades.
"Thank you Max!" You yelled back hugging him. He was like a uncle to you. As soon as the helicopter was turned off he rummaged in his briefcase. You were going to sleep there while you waited for your avatar body.
"I brought even a new prototype of the oxygen mask, you can drink and eat even outside the lab." Your jaw dropped "Really??" You jumped happily. It was the first time a prototype could afford such a thing.
"let's go inside I'll show you how to use it" You went inside the box to try the new mask.
"We'll be good here" Jake said looking around the marui. "I think it's pretty" you sang happily entering the marui.
-ˋˏ♡┈┈┈┈
A lot of time has passed from the day you arrived at Awa'atlu. You had fitted quite well in the village. Sure, not everyone liked you but many had started to treat you like their sister. Especially Tsireya, she loved you. She often asked about human life, how your body worked and a lot of science things about you and your avatar body. Yes you told her about the body you'll be having anytime soon. You wished.
Ao'nung liked teasing you a lot and it's not like you could do something about it. Jake wanted no trouble. That was your mantra. "If you think you're one of us you're wrong little one" he would say occasionally "just go back to your planet" this was less usual but still used.
You tried to act like you didn't care, but it was so hard to ignore it. You decided to avoid him and that worked cause you managed to keep him away for two straight weeks, you were really close to organize a party about it.
Today you were invited to Tsireya's marui. It was you, her and Kiri. Just three besties having fun for one entire night. It sounded really great so you agreed very happily.
When you arrived to her marui Kiri was already there "Y/n! You're late!" they both exclaimed as they saw your tiny figure entering the hut. "Yeeah sorry about that, had to finish some things" you said rolling your eyes.
"But no more work now, let's have funn" Kiri chuckled at your feisty attitude "the boys should be at their secret spot so we have my brothers marui all for us!" Tsireya screamed in excitiment. Yes she always talked to you about how big and beautiful Ao'nungs marui was since he moved in it. You weren't completly sure it was safe but still you wanted your revenge so why not.
"And he has Pongu pongu! With alcohol!" Kiri turned to you after announcing it. "And you are gonna try it for sure!" they said in unison before grabbing your arm and dragging you with them.
You looked around carefully all the way up to the famous hut. "C'mon!" Tsireya opened the flap signaling to come in. You and Kiri ran to her and went inside. Tsireya locked the flap to the wooden frame. "Is this really a good-" you muttered looking around "-idea..." turns out Re'ya was right. Ao'nungs marui was breath taking.
"Wow" Kiri whispered looking around. Re'ya just stood there, hands on her hips looking satisfied by yours and Kiris reaction. "Told ya." She said heading were she knew her brother kept the Pongu pongu.
Who would have thought that Ao'nung was so tidy? The decor was so aesthetic, with woven shells hanging from the fabric ceiling, rattling whenever the wind had the chance to enter.
"Found it! C'mon let's drink." You heard Tsireya calling as she found a big jar between all the spears. Kiri pulled out three shallow cups that she had taken from her father and gave one to each of us. "All right, cheersss!!" and with that the drinking night begun.
"Oh Y/n I- *hiccups* I have something for you!" Tsireya staggered forward towards you, she got up and went near the entrance. "Here it is!" *hiccups* she exclaimed raising her arm in the air showing the little clothing she was holding in her hand. "I've made a woven loincloth and a macramè top for you!" She happily jumped handing you the clothing.
"You- *hiccups* shouldn't have Re'ya!" You chuckled admiring her work. "C'mon try it on!" Tsireya cheered "oh yeah go Y/n! Put it on!!" Kiri shouted. "I-I don't know... Should I?" You asked looking at the pretty iridescent shells all over it.
"Fuck yeah you should!" They both exclaimed. You gave in and took off your previous clothing putting on the ones Tsireya gave you. As soon as you finished you did a pirouette, giggling at the light clink of shells.
"Oh Eywa. You look stunning Y/n!" Kiri said as Re'ya agreed nodding her head. "You think?" you asked slightly embarassed. "Of course! I bet you could even fascinate some of the boys" It was Kiris turn to agree in silence as Tsireya elbowed you lightly making you chuckle.
"C'mon Y/n dance!" Tsireya started to tap a rhythm with her hands and tail, "yeah dance!" Kiri chuckled doing the same rhythm. You daced and risked to fall four times as the alcohol had already kicked into your blood making your heart pump faster, adrenaline raising.
All seemed fine until you all heard a confused exclamation coming from the entrance.
"What the fuck!?" Ao'nung's voice roared in the whole hut causing averything to go silent. You, on the other side, had stopped, trying to balance on one leg but falling down miserably.
His eyes wandered around his house and especially on your body, your little body barely covered and showing almost everything, then his eyes darted to his sister and Kiri. He stormed to them lifting them up by their arms "I remember I told you NOT to enter my marui.!" he yelled dragging them outside.
You had to admit you've never saw him so serious, neither so angry. You didn't know if you were scared or attracted to him. "I know, I'm sorry brother" Tsireya said chuckling while he dragged her and Kiri out.
She climbed on him screaming and laughing and as he tried to get her off she removed the string that was holding up his hair letting them fall all over his back. "Tsireya! You drinked Pongu pongu! Oh Eywa you can't drink it yet, it's alcohol!" he said exasperated "Dad is gonna kill us." he face palmed himseflf before turning to you.
"And you-" he walked up to you, his long black curls swinging left and right; lifted you by your waist and hold you up to his face. Yeah, you just discovered, that his hand was big enough to hold your whole waist. He stopped for a moment eying you up and down, then he spoke "Cover yourself. I can see everything" he said walking out and placing you down.
He the entered his marui and closed the flap. You were left spechless. Still processing his HAIR, still processing his HAND and still processing he just admitted he saw your whole body.
As for him, he thought about your body all night long and didn't get some sleep. He really didn't expected to found you out of his door right the next morning.
Time skip - that morning
Your ears rung, you heard a lot noise and youl felt a pair of hands shaking you trying to wake you up. Your head was spinning, you slowly opened your eyes and rubbed them.
"Thanks to Eywa! Tought you were dead." The blurred figure spoke standing and towering over your curled up body. You hummed supporting your head with your hand. "Oww, did a Tsurak ran over me?" you muttered sitting up and blinking till the blurr faded.
"No it's the Pongu pongu you drank yesterday" Your eyes shot open as you finally reconized the voice. You looked at him still having the worst headache ever. He must've noticed cause he grinned at you "I don't think a human can handle na'vi alcohol as good as us." he spat mockingly.
You rolled your eyes "Listen Ao'nung, I'm sorry for what happened in your hut yesterday, we..." you stopped remembering what you actually did "uhm..." you looked to your clothes and discovering you had the macrame and woven clothing Tsireya weaved for you.
"You ate your tongue?" he tilted his head at your silence. You remembered what he said about your clothing and jumped covering your upper parts with your arms.
"Well i can't leave you here" he mumbled "Not like that" he lifted you with his arm and took you inside his marui. You were embarrassed to be wearing that.
You liked it of course, it was gorgeous, but you felt so naked right now, in front of the Olo'eyktan son. He sat you on the woven mat. He never treated you like that. It was the first time he was with you and still didn't throw any insult to you.
"I know it's sudden but I want to ask you a few things." He spat feisty. You blinked looking at him "W-what" you asked waiting for him to just spit it out, while admiring his face.
Yeah that alcohol must've been really strong because you were starting to find him attractive. His lips while he spoke, his adam apple bobbing every time he swallowed, his aquamarine eyes locking to yours.
"Are you even listening?" He asked awaking you from your trance, you looked at him biting your lower lip and raising your eyebrows questioning him.
He smirked slyly getting closer to your face and gently tapping on your mask "you can't breath without this right?" He asked tilting his head, still with that damn smile adorning his face.
"That'sー correct." You quickly answered trying to increase the distance between you two. "Then why aren't you breathing?" He whispered stopping you from getting away from him and pulling you closer.
You were inches from each other's, you could see your mask fogging up every time he exhaled. "Do you know your stretching limits?" His smile never faltered as he spoke. You blushed furiously at his question as you opened and closed your mouth like a goldfish.
You gulped as you felt his hands sneaking around you waist "how are you so small?" he mumbled looking up and down your body. What's going on? why was he so intrested in your human anatomy. "You're the big one!" you blurted out.
He put pressure on your lower belly causing you to gasp lightly, you were being pushed down until your back was in full contact with the woven mat, he hovered over you making you look even smaller.
"Your reproductive system works like ours right?" he took a handful of your hair inhaling your scent. "Just without tsaheylu" he finished his sentence before licking your neck, you yelped at the sudden move pushing him from the chest trying to push him away.
"W-what are you doing!? are you crazy?!!" you screamed feeling the blood rushing to your cheeks. He smirked again grabbing your wrists with one hand, while the other one clutched around your neck softly "just stop fighting and answer my questions" He pierced holes in your eyes as he stared into them.
You squirmed trying to get free from his grasp, your heart started racing as he leaned toward you. You clasped your hands around the wrist of the hand that was around your neck "Iー do not know my stretching limits." you muttered squinting your eyes whishing that would make him stop.
He did stop for a mere second before whispering into your little ear "Guess we're about to find out." You felt heat pooling in your abdomen causing you to feel wrongly horny.
You could feel your body wanted it, but you knew it was just so wrong. You still squirmed as he took the woven loincloth off of you, his breath fanned on your mask as he freed your neck from his grasp placing his hand onto your thigh.
He lightly squeezed it observing your reaction. Your lips were slightly parted and your hot breath fanned onto the mask. You reflexively tried to close your legs just to be stopped by him.
His hand went lower finding your heated core. His touch ghosted onto your clit making you bite your lower lip. "I think it's better if I use my fingers first." he whispered lining his fingers to your leaking entrance.
You jolted as he started to push two digits inside of you, a filthy moan left your lips as he plunged his fingers deep inside you. You felt them brushing on your cervix. "So warmー" he started to breathe heavily, you felt his dick slowly getting hard against your thigh.
He began to pump his fingers inside you causing a pleasure you never felt, you closed your eyes abandoning yourself to his touch, you felt a knot forming in your core. His fingers sped up scissoring you, causing a loud moan to leave your throat.
You arched your back as you felt him add another finger, fucking his three digits into your pussy, you squirmed as the stretch felt painful. His thumb glued to your clit as he noticed.
The pain slowly changed to pleasure again, you called out his name as you felt his fingers deliciously hitting your sweet spot "I-I'mー" you whimpered, your walls clenched around his digits as the knot started tightening.
He pulled his fingers out right when you were at the edge of your orgasm, you cried in frustration as your walls clenched around nothing. "Don't worry little one." he muttered removing his loincloth, letting his rock hard cock slapping against his stomach "I'm right here" he scanned your face as his smirk widened.
He spread your legs and pulled them, lowering your knees till they touched your sides. Your breath hitched when he adjusted himself between your legs.
He lined his tip to your hole causing you to tremble softly. "No worries baby, I'll make it work" he tried to assure you as he rubbed your thighs with his thumb.
You were scared. Your father actually told you not to have a sexual act with a Na'vi unless you had your avatar body. It could've been dangerous, not fatal of course but still not a good idea.
"Wanna establish a safe word?" You looked at him with your already watering eyes. He released your wrists letting your little hand grip his shoulders. You nodded slowly and whispered it to him. "Alright, scream it if it's too much okay?" You nodded again.
He started pushing his hips forward watching as your cunt slowly swallowed his tip, you groaned at the stretch. "It hurtsー" you yelped softly, feeling your cunt spreading in attempt to adapt to his size. "It's gonna be fineー" he murmured leaning his forehead onto your shoulder.
He kept pushing until he felt himself bottoming you out. Your cries were melodic to his ears. Little less than half of his shaft could still see the light. "A little more" he growled breathless as he rolled his hips gently, managing to make your cunt engulf another bit of his dick.
He moved his hand onto the big bulge that formed on your lower belly gently pressing on it. You moaned loudly, holding yourself to his shoulders as you felt him shift deep inside you.
He started moving slowly, waiting for your pussy to get used to him inside you. His hands reached your breasts and started to knead them causing you to whimper. He felt your walls slowly relaxing around his girth "alrightー here we go."
He slowly pulled out, till only his tip was left inside, then thrusted back in hitting your sweet-spot making your legs tremble in his grip. He threw his head back, feeling you clench around his hardness like your life depended on it.
His thrusts increased in speed as he fucked himself inside you, making you scream his name in pleasure. Tears soaked your whole face, you couldn't stop the moans coming out of your throat. He pulled you to meet his pelvis, gripping your tiny waist.
His thrusts were steady and strong, his hips rolled deliciously into yours, rhythmically hitting your cervix and g-spot, making you wince every time your cunt swallowed him.
"who would've guessedー" he grunted "your human body could take me so well" he looked down at the bulge on your belly.
"Ao'nung I'm closeー" you cried as he increased his pace even more holding your waist, fucking the most beautiful sounds out of you. He admired the bulge his dick formed on your abdomen everytime he buried inside your cunt.
"Let go little oneー don't hold back" he said twisting and teasing your clit with his fingers. Your legs shook at the intense pleasure, "let me feel your juices." He groaned pulling your legs up on his shoulders hitting a deeper with the new angle.
Your jaw fell open as his cock threatened to pierce your cervix. Your body arched against his as you came undone, squirting all over his pelvis as his hips kept snapping against yours with hunger.
"Holdー on a little longer." He grunted throwing his head back and gripping your waist tightly as he felt his orgasm approaching "almost there" he growled breathing heavily.
He pushed himself deep inside you for the last time, releasing his load directly into your womb, filling you to the brim "ahh yess-" he growled fucking you both out of your orgasm.
He slowly pulled out of your quivering walls, letting your legs fall down gently. some of his seed leaked down on your thighs. He suddenly took you in his arms and placed you into his hammock as he cleaned up the woven mat.
"We'll certainly have a lot of chances to increase your stretch." He chuckled sitting on the floor, next to you. "That's not funny" you mumbled, your heart still racing.
"I have a great idea. Maybe next time we can your your marui" you imagined he was referring to your lab "so you can take off that mask" he cooed leaning towards your shoulder and kissing it.
You rolled you eyes "now would you mind asking me real questions about human anatomy?" He chuckled lightly "maybe i will."

Refuge
Tumblr media
previous | part 2 | next
word count: 4.3k
language: Tsahík- spiritual leader
description: Confused by your avoidance Ao’nung frustration only seemed to build. Convinced he wanted to play you push him away. Backed into a corner the na’vi has to make some bold decisions.
Tumblr media
Ao’nung did not understand why you were still angry with him. He had apologized to your sibling and even bit back his words, not teasing them as much, but your cold shoulder did not waver in the slightest. His sister sensing the tension had not paired you with him at all for the past week and it was starting too eat away at him. He did not know why he craved your attention so, but it was driving him insane. Barging into his family’s mauri his annoyance was evident. Placing himself onto his mat he sharpened his weapon body language full of agitation.
“You are frustrated brother?” Tsireyas voice was soft as she turned her body too face her older brother. She had an idea why he was angry but the she needed to hear it from him. “Why?”
“That woman she is unbearable! She will not even glance my way! You would have thought I killed her mother.” Casting his knife aside a sigh breached Ao’nungs lips as he turned too his littler sister. “You have been no help always stealing her from me.”
“I have done no such thing, I just thought you did not wish too teach her because..” Puffing her cheeks Tsireya looked for the right words. “The obvious tension.”
“Yet you pare me with the man I literally fought with.” A giggle left Tsireya as she looked at her brothers deadpan look. “Maybe that is the reason she will not speak too you. You did fight her brother after teasing Kiri because your day was bad.”
“No, I am fine with everyone but y/n! I gave the family a gift and all the Sullys talk with me freely.”
“So you have done all this so she will forgive you?” A purple hue cascaded over Ao’nungs cheeks as he looked away from his sister. The man’s pride would not allow him to admit the efforts he went to for something as simple as your attention. “Oh my Eywa you like Y/n!” Tsireya shrill voice filled the mauri as she squealed.
Running to her big brother she pinched his cheek with a smile so big her cheeks began too hurt. “Mother and father will be so happy you found your tsahík!” Swatting Tsireya hand away Ao’nung scoffed at her words. “It does not matter if she will not even look my way.”
“It could have been something you said. You have my tendency too talk…offensively without knowing the impact of your words.” Suddenly entering the conversation Ronal entered the mauri focusing her attention on her eldest son. “Have you been ease dropping?” Ao’nung asked an unamused look on his face. “Does not matter now who is too be my successor I must start training her!”
“She does not wish to have anything to do with me it is no use.” Rolling her eyes at her sons words Ronal sat in front of her two children. “You are to be the chief everyone desires you. If they do not make them, show her your intensions.” Smacking her eldest on his head Ronal rose too her feet once more. “Now grow some balls and court this na’vi! A confrontation is not that hard son.” Placing her hands on her mouth Tsireya attempted too muffled her laughter. Gathering herself the young na’vi followed her mother avoiding Ao’nungs death glare. He could not wait too get out of his family’s Mauri.
Tumblr media
“Why do you still ignore Ao’nung?” Looking over too your sister confusion covered your features. The two of you were sitting on the very shore line the incident had happened. A broken sapling the only proof of the altercation between Ao’nung and your family.
“You know what he did too us, too Lo’ak.” Almost as if you were stating the obvious you crudely answered Kiris questions. Humming in response kiri placed her hands behind her, resting her body weight on them. “We have made peace y/n, why do you hold this grudge, it is unlike you.” Looking away from Kiri you hug your knees too your chest. You were at a loss for words, you did not wish too tell your sister about your feelings. It was already embarrassing enough that Ao’nung had played with your heart for so long. It was degrading knowing how desperate he perceived you, you did not wish for anyone else too form the same view.
“So sorry we are late! Are mother kept us.”
“It is fine.” Responding too Tsireya you mentally thanked Eywa. She had saved you from the pressure of answering Kiris questions. Rising too your feet you were quick to walk over too the girl, shooting kiri a sheepish smile. Rolling her eyes at your avoidance Kiri followed your lead as the two of you met the Siblings half way. Focusing all your attention on Tsireya you purposefully avoided Ao’nungs gaze, hoping that the man would disappear if you focused hard enough.
“I was thinking we could split up even more today. Since y/n is still struggling with Ilus she can stay here with my brother. He is one of the na’vi with the best knowledge of the sea animals.” With a smile decorating her face Tsireya looked between the two of you. She was obviously looking for approval and that was one thing you were not about to give.
“Actually-”
“That would be perfect!” Speaking over you kiri loudly agreed. Face morphing into a glare you looked at your sister. Kiri only wore a smug face as she peered at you. “Let’s head too the healing hut Tsireya.” Nodding enthusiastically, the na’vi waved goodbye, than motioned for kiri too follow. Watching your sister walk past you a wave of nerves washed over you. “Kiri-” As her name breached your lips her yellow eyes turned too yours. The look on her face was enough too shut you up as your ears pinned too your head. Tail drooping and ears down turned, you turned too face the na’vi in front of you, his form standing tall.
He seemed too be nothing but pleased at this arrangement as he looked down at you. It was a visible change in his attitude from the first day he was stuck with you, if anything he looked excited. Confusion clouded your brains as you examined the na’vi not sure why he seemed so please. “Don’t worry forest girl, I don’t bite.” Smirk plastered on his face he placed a hand on your back, guiding you too the water. Shying away from his touch you did not speak a word as you walked into the water, waiting for him to call an ilu. You pretended too not notice how his playful demeanor slightly shifted. Ao’nungs face twisting in dissatisfaction? You did not know. The only thing you knew was today was going too be a long day.
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
A hefty sigh left Ao’nung lips as he rested his hands on his hips. “You can not ride the ilu as if you are bear back your legs must make adjustment.” Piercing your lips together you attempted adjust your body correctly. The instructions that seemed to have been said hundreds of time repeating in your head. Looking at your new adjusted form Ao’nung couldn’t help but pinch his nose bridge in frustration. It did not help that you had not uttered a word this whole time, simply humming in acknowledgment. “You know a word or two would help me understand why you are struggling.” Ao’nungs eyes seemed too pierce yours as he walked through the water over too you. It did not take long for the warrior to be inches away. His ocean orbs seeming to be waiting for a response as he stared with an expectant look.
Avoiding his gaze you turned your eyes too where your hand held the ilu. Adjusting your grip you attempted too ignore his obvious request for you too speak. As a response an annoyed groan left the na’vi lips, making your stomach slightly drop. “Than we will do this the hard way.” The words left his lips in a hiss. The questions filling with his intensions soon answered as you felt a strong grip on your thigh. A slight yelp left your lips at the contact, head wiping towards the na’vi. He wore a slight smirk as he peered at you moving your legs into his desired position. It only took moments for all the blood too rush too your face a purple hue decorating your cheeks. In your mind you attempted to remind yourself that he felt nothing but you failed to stop the butterflies from invading your stomach.
Reaching over too adjust your other half you felt your heart race. His face was inches away from your stomach. His hands quickly positioning your leg the way he wanted. His salty yet musky scent entering your nose. You did not realize how much you enjoyed his smell until he pulled away, admiring his work. “Scoot up a little for me.” Attempting to follow his instructions you slid your hips up too the end of saddle. A small laugh left the na’vi mouth as you did. “Here.” Ao’nungs hands finding their way too your hips slid you back slightly. “Perfect”
“Ao’nung” Ears perking up at the sound of his name the male quickly focused his attention on you. A slight smile decorating his face. Heart beating rapidly against your rib cage you couldn’t seem too get your words out as you admired his features. It seemed that all your thoughts were scrambled as his hands rested themselves on you. It was amazing what a simple touch seemed to do. Mouth opened like an idiot you only seemed to be able to stare as the hue on your cheeks darkened.
Gaining slight composure you brung your hands too rest on his. Seeming too get the message Ao’nungs ears lit up. Quickly removing his palms from your hips, he tucked them under his arms. Awkwardly cleaning his throat the na’vi looked the other way, avoiding your gaze. “Well, let see how you do go ahead and ride under.” Expertly covering up his embarrassment he ushered for you too continue. Humming in response you were quick too obligue. It seemed as if this was your hundredth time under the water as the familiar feeling engulfed you.
Although, this time it felt as if you were gliding through the currents. The struggle of fighting to stay on the ilu gone as the water glided around you. The pull of the water running through your hairs as if it was apart of the ocean. Breaching the water a rush of adrenaline filled your body. Your joyful laughter filling the area. Whipping your head around you were quick to find Ao’nung. Smiling brightly you swam your ilu over too his, happiness radiating off of you. “Did you see that! I have done it!” Overcome by excitement you launched your body into Ao’nungs. Arms wrapping around his neck you broke your bond. Your ilu swimming out from under you.
Looking up a smile mirroring yours adored the na’vis features. Ao’nungs arms quick too find your body. Wrapping an arm around your waist he quickly used the other too bring your body over his ilu. “Should of stayed with me, you would have had it down day one.” Stomach sinking at his words you suddenly remembered why you have not been with him. Smile dropping you unlatched your hands from around the male. An embarrassment like no other flooding in as regret settled in. You had literally just thrown yourself at him. Ears pinned too your head you avoided the na’vis now confused gaze. Ao’nung did not understand why your mood had done a full one-eighty.
“I am sorry, I got too excited.” Clasping your hands over your legs you starred down at the waves lapping over your thighs. Suddenly a light hand was placed over yours. His touch was gentle but it could not stop the whispers of doubts from entering your mind. “You are fine Y/n, your achievement was worth celebration.” You could only hum a response as you tried too calm the thumping of your heart. You hated how Ao’nungs presence only seemed to make so many doubts and feeling swirl. Your body and brain not knowing which one too display.
“I will swim back.” Awkwardly shifting your body off his ilu you submerged yourself into the sea. You felt a slight emptiness without his touch as you sank into the water, but that was just another feeling too add too the confusing mix. It seemed Ao’nung was not wiling too give you a break from the conflict he created in you as he was quick too dive in after you. ‘I will swim with you’ signing from above a slight smirk decorated his face. Motioning for him too follow you began to make your way back too shore. Being in the ocean always brought a feeling of peace yet you could not seem to admire the ocean life. Eyes constantly peering at the na’vi next too you. His curls flowing with the currents around him, his body moving effortlessly. It made your heart pang with a familiar pain. He was so beautiful yet that seemed to be the exact reason why he could toy with you as he pleased.
Finally breaching the water you gasped for air. Hoping to inhale as much as possible before making your way too the shore. Ao’nung who breached soon after seemed fine as his breathing settled quickly. You heard the water splash as his form followed. It was obvious he had no intension of letting you escape him. Feet finally touching the dry sand you turned too face the na’vi. Eclipse settling around the both of you. Ao’nung bioluminescent freckles shined with pride as he looked down at you. Taking a deep breath you met his ocean eyes. Ears perked up he waited for you too speak, hopeful for a positive exchange.
“What do you get out of this.” Gaze hardening you looked into him. Eyes furrowing at the question he slightly cocked his head too the side. “What do you mean?” Confusion evident in his tone he questioned you. A heft sigh left your lips as you ran your fingers through your braids. “I do not understand why you continue too play with me. My heart can not handle this, why don’t you leave in peace.”
“I am not playing with you.” Attempting too grab your hands you harshly jerk your body away. “Cut the shit Ao’nung go play with a Metkayinas heart.” Harshly rejecting his action you pull away from his touch. Confusion warped his features at the foreign word leaving your lips but he did not back down. “Why are you so resistant! I have done everything, yet you still deny me!”
“You know you have no real intension with me. You enjoy playing with my feeling taunting me and my brothers with the fact that I admire you. I am tired I cannot live like this! I will stop myself from wanting you so please let me move on.” Eyes glossing over you turn away from na’vi. “Goodnight Ao’nung.” The goodbye left your lips harshly as you sped away from him. Standing there like and Idiot Ao’nung watched your form retreat. He could not seem too process the words you had dumped on him. Too stunned by the fact that you wanted him.
Despite the fact that you had stormed away with the intension too not speak too the male again he couldn’t help the smile that played at his lips. Bringing his hand too his face he covered his growing grin as his stomach swirled with butterflies. The indirect confession had the na’vi swooning. Tail swaying in excitement he rushed back too his mauri. He knew exactly what he must do.
Tumblr media
It had been a day since your interaction with Ao’nung yet your melancholy mood did not leave you. Lo’ak, taking notice too this, attempted too drag you out the mauri but too no avail. You refused your brothers attempt to cheer you up insisting you must stay too help kiri and your mother. You were thankful too Neteyam for dragging your twin away understanding you needed time. Your eldest brother was always intuitive, never pushing you too speak before you felt comfortable. Shooting him a half smile you thanked him, waving goodbye too the two males. You felt a relief like no other knowing the pestering would finally come too an end. Thanking Eywa Tuk’s instructor wanted to take her this evening. There was no doubt your mother and sister had noticed your low mood as well. The both of them treading around you as if the slightest mistake would make you snap.
Currently the three of you were preparing dinner. Wrapping fish and herbs into the seaweed for your mother too cook later. Conversation flowing fluidly between the woman to your left as you worked in silence. Thoughts consuming your brain as your hands worked slowly. It seemed that all your thoughts reverted too him. It made you want to scream in frustration. No matter how hard you tried to think of something else Ao’nung dominated your mind. It was torture. No matter how many harsh facts you reminded yourself of, your heart still called his name. Fingers struggling too seal the seaweed together you slammed the food down on the mat. Hands running through your braids in frustration. Silence filled the Mauri, both woman looking too you with concerned eyes.
“How about we take a break.” Breaking the silence your mother spoke. Placing the food too the side. “How about a new style on Y/n? Your braids have been in for quite a while.” Kiri suggested. Nodding in agreement you accepted her suggestion silently. You knew your braids were fine, but braiding each others hair has always been a way for the woman in your family comfort each other. Occasionally getting the person too open up. Placing themselves behind you the two of them began too unbraid. Helping with the ones you could you attempted too unbraid the front.
Soon your mother’s humming filled the mauri. Immediately recognizing it as your song cord song you felt the tension leave your body. Water running through your now unbraided hair you allowed a tears too flow down your cheeks. No longer being able too hold in your emotions. A vulnerability usually only your family had the luxury of seeing. Continuing too prepare your hair no words were spoken, yet you were given the best comfort you could receive. Your mothers songs resonating in the mauri. Kiris soft touch as she combed out your hair. The gentle yet firm tugs at your hair as they corn rowed it back. A calming feeling filling your soul as the ocean waves could be heard in the background of it all.
Before you knew it Eclipse has fallen. Their hands leaving your scalp as they admired their work. The top of your hair corn rowed back, connecting at the top too your queue to make one huge braid. Your mother left one small braid in the front too shape your face. Admiring their work you couldn’t help but allow a smile too form on your lips. “You are beautiful daughter.” Watching your admire yourself Neytiri wore a soft smile. The two woman proud too have lightened up your mood. Walking into the mauri your brothers were the first to return, their eyes finding you with the mirror.
“Woah look who got a make over.” Announcing their presence Neteyam was the first to speak. “Woah you actully don’t look like shit.” Of course, Lo’ak had to make a backhanded joke. Hissing at her second oldest son Neytiri lightly hit the back of his head. You and kiri could only laugh at Lo’ak scolding. Although the young na’vi showed no remorse. Neteyam could only shake his head at his brother stupidly, a small smile appearing on his lips. A soft mood filled the space around you as you felt your heart lighten. Basking in the presence of your family. Your father was soon to join the rest of you strutting into the mauri. A series of greetings followed as your mother embraced her mate.
“Where is Tuk Ma’Jake?” Peering behind him your little sister presence was missing. The mood in your home slightly dampened as you all shot your father questioning looks. “We have been invited to eat with Tonowaris family. It was implied that only adults should come so Tuk is having a sleep over with her instructors daughter. ” Looking into each of his children eyes he spoke too the whole family. “Ao’nung invited me this evening. I hope none of you have caused any more trouble?” All responding in sync you quickly denied your fathers accusation. A visible sigh of relief left him as his worries seemed to lift off him. A slight guilt pierced your heart, knowing you had slightly lied. But, you did not intend to come clean about the conflict, especially after seeing your fathers relief. “Go put something nice on.” Glancing at Neteyam and Lo’ak Jake slight cringed. “Especially you two.”
Smiling sheepishly the two looked down at their dirty loincloths. It was obvious they had been rough housing throughout the day. Moving too the girl side of the Mauri your mother undid your woven separator. You quickly began too pick out an outfit that was suitable, subconsciously wanting to look your best. “Here sister, wear this.” Pulling you away from your thoughts you peered at the outfit Kiri held in front of you. A light gasp leaving your lips. It was a beautiful top. Small pearls covered every inch of the string. The chest having seashell hanging in the oval shaped gaps too cover your breast. Along side it was a white loincloth with pearl straps on the side connecting the two pieces. “Do you not think it is too much.” voice dripping with doubt you admire the outfit with awe. “Of course not put it on. I’ll wear what you picked out.” Pushing the outfit into your hands kiri snatched your outfit from behind you. Looking too your mother she only shot you an approving smile.
Neytiri knew why kiri wanted you too look your best, knowing the theory Kiri had built around yours and Ao’nungs relationship. The two had even spoke about how he was possible the cause for your saddened mood. “Come on girls we don’t have all night!” Jakes booming voice filled the mauri, impatiences prominent in his tone. A series of grunts was all he got in return as the three of you shuffled into your clothes. Finally Walking out of the mauri the crisp night air greeted your skin. With your nerves building the six of you began your walk too the chiefs mauri.
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
Apon entering the mauri you were immediately greeted by Tonowari. The warm air of their home welcoming you in. Eyes wandering you took in your surroundings. There was set up of food around a small fire. All kinds of fruits, meats and beverages lined up perfectly. Ronal who seemed to be placing the last dish around the fire took her seat around the arrangement. Tsireya was already in a conversation with Lo’ak and Neteyam, her bubbly personality radiating from her very being, Mother and Kiri placed to the side of the Tsahík, and Ao’nung who seemed to be arranging something in the corner. Blood running hot you allowed your eyes too scan his crouched body. Admiring the sight you had not seen since the other night.
You felt your heart skip a beat as he turned your way. Ocean eyes scanning you from top too bottom as you had just done too him. Casting your gaze away you placed yourself next to your father, who was still conversing with Tonowari. Much too your displeasure, that seemed too be Ao’nungs next stop. The na’vi stood tall next to his father. Ao’nungs blue eyes peering down at the two of you. “Hello Jake Sully.” Turning his gaze too the young na’vi a friendly smile covered your fathers face. “Hello Ao’nung, thank you for inviting us here. I’m guessing for a special ocassion?” Following your fathers gaze you looked too the direction the na’vi had come from. Looking at the assortment it was clear no ordinary na’vi could have put this together. There were fish bones, Jewerly, necklaces, spices, furniture, and even meat! Which was extremely rare in the Metkayina clan as they usually only ate aquatic life.
Mouth slightly agape you couldn’t help but stare at the pile, your shock displayed on your expression. “Yes,, you could say that.” A light smile played at Ao’nungs lips as he responded, eyes glued too you. Feeling his stare you tore your eyes from the corner. “Oh yes, thank you for inviting us.” Eyes only meeting his for a second you couldn’t help but tear your gaze away. After the last meeting it was simply too embarrassing, your assumed rejection fresh. “Of course. You are beautiful tonight Y/n.” Eyes widening you look up too the na’vi. A dark hue casting over your face as you pierced your lips together. Looking too the ground you went back too avoiding his gaze, feeling like an idiot for reacting. Of course he still wanted to play with your feeling.
“Well why don’t we eat!” Tonowaris voice boomed through out the mauri, indirectly telling his guests too sit. Getting the message you all gathered around. You sitting next to your father with Tsireya too your left. Of course the na’vi in front of you had too be Ao’nung. Eyes casted down you avoided his eyes, feeling your stomach sink. If it was possible you felt as if his gaze would have burned through you. Your appetite lessening bye the second. “I am sorry we must excuse your youngest today. It is just we did not need her approval for our discussion tonight.” Ronald voice was the first too speak. Her blue eyes casted on your father. Eyebrows furrowing in confusion he met her icy orbs. “Approval for what exactly?” Motioning her hands too Ao’nung all eyes shifted too the na’vi. He sat confidently as he looked at your father. A determination on his face you had not seen before. Inhaling slightly the na’vi spoke words you never expect too hear.
“I seek the family’s approval too court Y/n”

Could you please do one where Ronal and Tonowari react to the reader or OC, which ever is more your thing, having lots of battle scars from the war in the first movie? 🧁❤️ I love your writing! It’s so awesome to read and I can’t wait for the next part of your Tonowari x Ronal x OC fanfic!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Stunning, beautiful, elegant. Gifs by @stallislump )
Pairing: Ronal/Reader/Tonowari
Taglist: @mooniequeen
Warnings: non-gender specific reader, fluff, mentions of war, scars, heavily implied stuff (nsfw? idk, but I'd read this at work)
Na'vi Words: ikran - mountain banshee, olo'eyktan - male clan leader, tsahik - spiritual clan leader, kelku - house/home
A/N: This is short but sweet. I hope you like it! (Note: Stand alone! Not a part of the tsamsiyu ta'em series)
~~~~~~~~~
They had noticed your scars the first day they met you, a Na'vi flying in on an ikran alongside the gunship Jakesully had radioed in to help Young Kiri. They knew Sky People were coming, but they weren't expecting you.
The Metkayina have heard many stories about the clans that came together under Toruk Makto's leadership. Even from as far as the reef, the Na'vi heard about the war with the Sky People and the casualties left behind. Such war and casualties were shown on your skin, displayed like a story. Long, thin, cut-like marks ran up and down your legs and part of your torso, while small, circular scars riddled your right shoulder and chest. The skin that healed over your wounds was a pale blue compared to the rest of your skin and stripes. When Toruk Makto introduced you to the olo'eyktan and tsahik of the Metkayina, they couldn't take their eyes off of you.
Your style and the colors of your attire were not of Omatikaya. Tonowari and Ronal later learn that you were originally from the Tayrangi clan but stayed with the Omatikaya after the war. As they got to know you, they learned that your family members were great warriors but had tragically died in the battle of the Hallelujah Mountains. After their deaths, you saw no reason to return home with your clan and made a life for yourself in the forests with Toruk Makto's clan.
Considering you as an entrusted friend and ally, Jake had asked you to stay in Awa'atlu for a little while so he would feel more secure and able to protect his family. And while you stayed among the Metkayina, both Tonowari and Ronal grew closer to you and wished to learn more about you and your stories... specifically the story behind your scars.
Originally, you didn't feel inclined to share the story, simply stating that you earned your scars in the battle against the Sky People. However, as you grew closer to the Metkayina clan leaders, you began to let yourself be more open and vulnerable toward them, which is where you find yourself sitting with the pair, alone in their kelku. It was a late night and their children were out with the Sully children to show them the beauty of night fishing.
It was Tonowari who boldly reached his hand out and gently grazed a scar on your shoulder, his thumb tenderly pressing into the raised, circular mark. "Who did this to you?"
"The Sky People," you found yourself saying without hesitance, "I fell off my ikran and survived," you originally pointed to the long, thin scars you earned from falling and crashing, then you moved onto the rounded scars around your shoulder, "These scars are from their weapons made of metal. They call them guns and bullets. Any closer and they would have pierced my heart."
Neither of the clan leaders looked pleased by that statement, and Ronal took her husband's boldness a step further. The tsahik leaned down and placed a chaste kiss over a bullet-shaped scar that was located near your collar, her warm lips leaving behind a tingle underneath your skin when she pulled away.
The look she gave you sent your heart racing, her gaze heated and foggy as she stared at you through her lashes, "Thank the Great Mother that they didn't."
One thing led to another and you found yourself in the pair's undivided attention all throughout the night, together learning where each and every one of your scars were located on your body. While you weren't necessarily self-conscious about the scars (you were mostly proud and showed them off as proof that you survived and won a war), you had begun shying away from their touch whenever they got too close to any specific markings. But over time, throughout the night, you began to relax and feel safe, allowing the two Reef Na'vi to explore you in ways you've never felt before.
Had this idea that Ronal would take kindly to Spider because he’s a child aimlessly trying to find family and I feel she’d take pity and show compassion. Also with Ronal’s animosity with Neytiri - she’d prob feel some solidarity with Spider. It’s a bit hypocritical cause Ronal literally calls the Sully kids demons for being half human but idk she’d prob have a change of heart seeing such a young kid being held hostage by the RDA, abandoned by the Sullys, and the scientist at hell’s gate.
Oh yeah in this version the RDA cut his hair and gave him clothes, washing away any Na’vi evidence.
Not going to finish these WIPs, the inconsistent art style is killing me
If you are up to doing poly- how do you think Ronal and Tonowari would be with a little human s/o?
Thanks a bunch!
So fun fact about me I am actually polygamous myself, I have no objection writing more poly fics or one shots. Also this is a little short so let me know if you want a more detailed or even smutty version.
So tonowari isn’t as opposed to his attraction to you at first. He eases into it and adjusts to the situation, his mate on the other hand. Ronal had a lot of difficulty she had a distinct dislike for humans. But she would be lying if she said she wasn’t immediately drawn to you.
The gentle way you dealt with the wildlife around you. How kind you were with the people of her village. It was hard to ignore that you were not like other humans.
After a while they both became incredibly protective of you. Ensuring that you always had oxygen tanks to hand, scolding you if you didn’t bring a spare with you.
Becoming agitated if other members of the community absentmindedly knocked you over in their day to day tasks.
They barley let you out of their sight, one of them was watching over you always.
At first you thought they didn’t trust you, you sought comfort with the sully family and tried your best to fit in and contribute.
But you couldn’t weave baskets the same, you couldn’t fish. It was hard, but you tried.
One day it became to much and you snuck away to a secluded area to vent your frustration in the form of tears. The feeling of being ostracised too much for you in that moment. Ronal found you, panicked as she has lost sight of you for far to long for her liking.
“y/n?” She tried to keep her voice steady and hide her concern, but fear was replaced with anger when she saw the tears rolling down your cheeks.
Now it was only one moment, a singular second of time where she paused to admire you, your eyes glassy from the tears, a light tint on your cheeks you we’re beautiful to her. But that was I trusted by anger at whatever had caused you upset.
“Are you hurt, who did-“ her concern bubbled over her hands reaching around you to check for injury. “Ronal I am fine, I was just a little upset” “a little?” “Please don’t bother yourself I know you don’t want me here.” “What” she was taken off guard, she had no idea how you had come to this conclusion but she was sure she knew how to rectify it. She leaned down cupping your face in her large hand. “The only place I want you is in mine and my mates arms, little one” her voice was so tender and sweet, you melted into her touch. “Really?” your eyes looked up at hers and she had to fight the urge to ravish you right then and there.
She instead decided to lean down and lightly kiss your face, your nose, eyes, cheeks and finally your lips.
When tonowari was greeted in their shared tent by the sight of you sat on-top of Ronal’s lap he couldn’t contain himself.
He left feverish kisses all along your shoulders and spine. Down your neck as his right hand rested firmly on Ronal’s tight, the other wrapped tightly around your waist.
You were trapped between them and there is nowhere else you’d rather be.
Jake sully x reader [series, part two]
PART ONE
Tumblr media
The sand burns beneath his feet, his skin hot and irritated from Eywa's unforgiving sun. Jake pats his ikran firmly on the chest, breathing steadily. He watches as people crawl out of their pods, emerge from the blue water and judging by their expressions, they aren't happy. He looks back to his family, gaze lingering on his oldest seeming weary and his fingers grazing the bow strapped to his ikran.
"Neteyam," he whispers sharply, and he looks to him, cowering away from the bow with a small huff through his nose. "On me," he commands his children, unable to hide the nervousness peering out of his tone. "Tuk," he mumbled, stretching his hand out for her to take. She runs to grab it, before settling her hands on the back of his leg.
Jake readjusts his slipping loincloth to sit comfortable on his hips before stretching his arms out wide, making sure to walk slowly and steadily. A sign of peace, a sign he could only hope they accept. He isn't able to stop himself from staring at the spears that some of the people hold, noticing the sharp, hard points of them. He does his best to keep his face neutral.
Two young boys and a girl crack through the thick group, slightly circling his sons.
"What is that? That supposed to be a tail?" One cracks, snickering and the other laughs with him. "How are they supposed to swim—"
The girl suddenly hits the cocky boy's arm, voice stern, "Do not, Roxto and Ao'nung."
Suddenly, the hushed talk of the people dies down a few notches.
Jake tilts his head to see a figure pushing— no, melting through the crowd, because they seem to be immediately parting for the said figure. He hears the light sound of shells rattling, smooth feet treading on the sand and before he can even catch his breath, there you are.
Weirdly enough, his mind jumbles. An unusual, unfamiliar bolt jitters through his body, settling at the pit of his stomach. Like a jolt of electricity.
You're of status. That much he can tell. Your black hair lavers down your back and over your shoulders, with a bundle of pearls and crystals twisted through it. You wear a lengthy sarong that lies loose around your hips, the right side cutting only at your calf. There are three crystalloid waist-beads that wrap around your torso, and your threaded top only covers what's necessary, and that too, is sprinkled with colorful spangles. Anklets, armlets, bracelets. A necklace that's crested with precious seashells and looped with glossy pearls. Your body is wet, skin dotted with water drops as if you had just gotten out of the ocean.
You scoop your hair out from your neck, unsticking it from your skin and moving it all to the back of you. He doesn't think he's ever seen a movement be done so gracefully.
A being that's ethereal, nothing he has seen before and it's something about you that reels him in like a fish caught on a hook. Your gaze finally locks with his, eyes ripe with curiosity and poise. His stomach does a flip, suddenly feeling the heat burning from beneath your expression. Your face is unreadable, your chin held high as you examine him and his family, and the sudden big whooshes from above him is the only thing that pulls his attention away from you.
Three big sea animals with long wings ride in, splashing into the water and one rider soaring on them is recognised easily. Tonowari, chief of the Metkayina, the reef people. He emerges from the water with a sense of power flowing behind him, and he strides with strength as his spear digs deep into sand each time he takes a step. They exchange greetings, and Jake's feels a sense of relief at the calm connection, as he knew Tonowari was a fierce leader.
But it wasn't him Jake was worried about.
Ronal emerges through the crowd, hips swaying gently and her face is unreadable, just like yours. She holds a strong aura, and her skirt rattles powerfully against her teal skin as she takes long, wary appearing steps.
"I see you, Ronal, Tsahik of the Metkayinas," Jake rushes, connecting his fingers to his head and releasing them swiftly. She says nothing in return, only flicking her eyes over his kids scattered behind him.
"Jakesully," Tonowari begins. "Why do you come to us?"
Jake licks swiftly at his lips, "We seek Uturu."
"Uturu?" Ronal snaps, like he has just insulted her with three striking words.
"Yes— sanctuary for my family," Jake reaches for Tuk standing meekly behind him, grasping her hand and bringing her gently forward.
"We are reef people," Tonowari lets a soft, unbelievable laugh escape from his chest. Ronal begins to circle Jake and his family. "You are forest people. Your skills will mean nothing here."
"So we will learn your ways, yeah?" Jake pleads.
Ronal grabs at Jake's tail, earning a little jut of his body from the unexpected action. She strokes her hand down Tuk's arm. "Their arms are thin," she states loud. It takes him by the unexpected when he feels another set of hands settling on his tail, and he whips his head around to see you, fingers grazing the length.
"Their tails are thin as well," you say, earning a small nod from Ronal. You drop his tail, now stepping over to his little girl behind him. "Mother," you murmur, jutting your head towards Tuk and she follows the movement, humming lowly. Mother. You were the clan leader's daughter, the next tsahik in line. He now understood the mutual energy you both shared.
"The thinness of your body parts will make you weak," Ronal then pulls on Kiri's tail, earning a whiney ow from her but the tsahik completely ignores it. "You will be slow in the water."
Ronal examines her arms, then moves to settle on her hands, and her eyes widen. She swiftly grabs at her them, swinging them up for everyone to see. "These children... are not even true na'vi." She strides over to the next kid, and of course, she lands on Lo'ak. She pushes his hand up too, revealing the same five blue fingers, "They have demon blood!"
The thick crowd swirls with gasps and terror-filled whispers, even a round of hisses chucked out. But Jake is quick to wave his hand out in front of Ronal's face, a sudden desperation, a sudden need to protect his family rushing in. "Look. Look!" Ronal's gaze snaps to him, eyeing the way his fingers wiggle around. "Look, I was born of the Sky People and now I am Na'vi. Alright? You can adapt." He turns to his worried family, "We can adapt."
"My father was Toruk Makto," Kiri rushes to tell, her eyes hung with slight desperation in them. Jake bites at his tongue, pulling all his inner strength together to not clamp his hand over his teenage daughter's mouth. "He lead the clans to victory against the Sky People. You know the tale."
"This is what you call victory, child? Hiding amongst strangers?" She towers over the teenage girl, her gaze darkening with disgust. She whips her head to Jake, "It seems Eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one."
An immediate, breathy hiss comes from Kiri, which is then met with a hiss from Ronal right back, dangerously leaning over her and that's when Jake places a hand on Kiri's shoulder and gently rocks her back a few steps. "I apologise for my daughter. She has travelled for a long time and is exhausted." He shoots her a look while explaining, tightening his grip on her shoulder slightly.
"Dad..." Kiri is quick to complain, but stops her next coming words when his expression hardens.
"Toruk Makto is a great leader, all Na'vi people know his story." Tonowari suddenly speaks out, extending his arm outwards toward Jake. "But we Metkayina are not at war," Tonowari turns to him. "We cannot let you bring your war here."
As Tuk numbly reaches for Jake, he immediately scoops her up by her torso, laying her head against his shoulder as her body presses sleepily at his chest. "I'm done with war," he plains, tone hugging a tiredness. "I just want to keep my family safe. That's all." He wraps an arm around his daughter's back, feeling the burning warmth of her sun-exposed skin. "Please," he adds.
A long look is exchanged between Ronal and Tonowari, and as restless anticipation boils at Jake's stomach, Tonowari turns around to him once again.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us." Immediate relief floods through Jake's system, and he gives a reassuring pat to Tuk's small back. "Treat them as our brothers and sisters. But they do not know the sea, and they will be like babies taking their first breath. We shall teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless."
Jake huffs out a breathless laugh, mixed with soft adrenaline and consolation. "Well— what do we say? Thank you."
A round of thank yous are heard, and a short, quiet one is added on by his attitude-filled daughter, Kiri.
"My eldest daughter will teach you the ways of Metkayina, Jakesully. As for my other daughter and son, they will show your children what to do," Tonowari speaks and a choked scoff is heard from beside him. Your jaw tightens, eyes setting wide as you whip your body towards your parents.
"Father," you dash. "You cannot exp—"
"It is decided." He booms, not sparing you even a look and your lips break into a snarl, a tiny and annoyed hiss breaking past your them. You seem to collect yourself just a moment after, breathing in through your chest before you take a large step forward.
"Come, I will show you our village," you invite, letting a small smile spread on your face and placing your hands neatly behind you. "Tsireya," you call, and she quickly follows after.
"Come!" the younger girl behind you cheers, and Jake swears he hears a soft laugh from in front of her.
He's quick to join you.
The ocean waves crash against your feet, splashing at your ankles as you toss food into a young ilu's mouth. You hold a basket at your hip, filled with fresh fish that is ready to be eaten.
Tsireya stays restless beside you, rising up and down on her toes as she helps you. "What do you think of Toruk Makto and his family?" you ask, dipping your hand into the basket again and wrapping your fingers around the thick of a fish's wet body.
Beforehand, you had examined Jakesully and his family from afar as they settled into their new home. You were relieved that they had seemed to like their marui pod, and hoped that they found peace within it. While they attempted to grow comfortable in their new home, you couldn't help but awe at their appearances. Their skin colour was a shade so blue, their eyes a vibrant, startling yellow.
Jakesully is intriguing looking, you figured, and you found yourself letting your eyes linger on him when they had firstly arrived. Even just before, you had to forcibly pull your eyes away from him and the action of the readjustment of his leather clip around his torso.
"I find them interesting. They're so.. blue." Tsireya replies. You throw the fish into another ilu's mouth, a happy chirp flowing from the eager animal as you do so. "You were upset about teaching Toruk Makto the ways of our people. Why?"
You blink, collecting another fish in your hands, "I was not upset about that. I was upset about the fact that father throws tasks at me repeatedly, and just expects me to handle it with the snap of my fingers. I'm aware that this was a completely unexpected event, but... it can get infuriating. Mother is the same."
"I understand," she responds, tucking a bunch of hair behind her ear.
You huff out a breath of air. "Fine, I must admit that I was a bit tempered in the moment. Toruk Makto does not seem like the ideal man to teach."
Tsireya laughs, "I understand that, too."
"Mm," you make a small, giddy humming noise. "Lo'ak seems ideal though, yes?"
"What?" she frowns, and your smirk widens.
"I saw you making big eyes at him," you tease, kicking her ankle softly with your foot.
"I wasn't."
"Oh, I think you were, hi'i ilva." You kick her again, finding amusement in her growing fluster. She groans out your name, pushing you in the shoulder and you gasp out a dramatised grunt, "Ooow!"
"You said you were going to stop calling me that," she embarrassingly wipes at her cheek, stretching out the skin of her eye.
"But you used to love it when you were little," you pout. Her frown deepens playfully. You notice the way her eyes travel over you, and a cheeky grin of her own makes its way to her smooth lips.
"Don't look now, but Toruk Makto is staring at you." Tsireya whispers giddily, ducking her head a little.
Your back straightens instinctively and you immediately turn your head around to look, doing exactly what she said not to do. Tsireya groans because of it.
She's right. Jakesully is looking at you from afar, and when he sees that you've caught him, he pushes out a dopey smile, flicking his still hand up in greeting. You nod your head back, letting a tiny smile split your lips. He begins walking over to you, and that's when you sigh quietly.
"Go help out Toruk Makto's children," you say, handing your basket to a villager ready to finish the task. "Use nice words, and make them feel welcome. And keep Ao'nung in line. Anything goes south, call out for me."
"Alright," she giggles, and you can tell she's excitement. She grazes your arm in goodbye and trots off, filling you with a small warmth at her obvious eagerness.
You wish you too possessed eagerness for teaching Jakesully, but Eywa didn't seem to be on your side today.
When he's near enough, you gently ball your fingers in a small fist on your forehead and then release them, a soft bow of your head. "Oel ngati kameie."
"Oel ngati kameie," he returns, repeating the gesture. There's a sense of awkward tension between the two of you. It's small, but it's there.
"Come," you command, sliding your hands behind your back and he listens, trailing behind you like a lost baby ilu following its mother. He attempts to match your long strides against the sand, even flicking up some and bits of it sprigging you in the legs. "My sister is eager to teach your children. She makes a great teacher. They will learn quick."
"That's good," Jakesully grumbles. You can feel his eyes stare into your face.
"I hope I make a great teacher to you, Toruk Makto." You add, flicking your fingers in your conjoined hands.
"Jake," he says, now grabbing your attention and you spin your head towards his. "Call me Jake."
"Jake?" you ask, the foreign word springing off your tongue loosely.
"Jake." He confirms, a smirk twitching on his lips. "And what shall I call you?" he prods, letting his eyes flick a mischievous glint.
"Karyu," you reply. Teacher. You aren't looking at him, but you hope he doesn't see the ghost of a grin playing on your mouth. You do catch the little flick of his tail though from the corner of your eye.
You begin to sink into your feet into the water, ushering him with the flick of your wrist and as you dive deeper into the sea, you glide a hand along an incoming ilu. "You will make bond with many ilu. They are kind, soft creatures. Treat them as your brother, your close one," you explain, rubbing a hand over the ilu's head before you.
Jake's next to you, placing a hand on its back. You take his hand, guiding it to the base of her long neck and angling his fingers to rest at the side of it. "Feel the strong huff of her breath, the scales of her skin."
He does as told, smoothing his palm flat onto her neck. Then his ears perk up, and his eyes run over to a spot behind you. "What's that?"
You attempt to look where his gaze was set, and you sigh once seeing where it was. "That is a skimwing. Only the most skilled Metkayina hunters may mount them."
You can see the way his eyes dart open, looking to you from the side and before he can even open his mouth, you're scolding him, "It isn't wise to start with a skimwing. An ilu would be much better."
He grins for the hundredth time today, but this time you're able to catch a glimpse of his pearly teeth. "Toruk Makto can handle a skimwing, ma karyu."
The skimwing is puffing out ragged and intimidating breaths as Jake flops belly first onto his back, swinging his leg over recklessly as a few men around them struggle to keep the beast down. Its back end thrashes, splashing water wildly and hitting you a couple of times. You're at the eager man's side, keeping your own and holding down the skimwing with an arm on its side.
"You hold here, yes— tight grip, Jake. Do not let go," you declare with your voice raised, trying to boom over the loud smack of the thrashing animal beside you. Jake grabs the leather band out from his mouth, using it to wrap it around his hand and the thick handle. "Remember, when you dive back into the water, keep a good position. Strong hold."
"Mhm," Jake mumbles, half-paying attention as he yanks the band a few times, stabilising the hold. Then he looks at you, and with a quirked lean of his head, he states, "I got this."
You breathe in deeply through your chest, taking a step back as you eye him steadily.
"Heeyah!" he shouts, the skimwing pouncing into action. It swivels and bolts through the water, and you watch as it jolts up and out of it, orange bold wings flapping out powerfully. You're impressed by it, with the way Jake hops up on one foot and rides the skimwing not flawlessly, but bravely. You even begin to tilt your head to get a clearer view of the scene. But then you notice the mishap, the leak of his performance when diving back down.
The skimwing escapes him, and he's left on his side before he's jumping up from the water, locks of black hair swishing back and forth. He swings up his arm, the hand that was once twisted into the skimwing's handle, now waved up in the air as he shakes it with anger. You can hear him groaning out in frustration, and a short laugh snorkels out from your mouth. You call for an ilu, hopping on it with a chortle and gliding to his aid.
"Toruk Makto cannot handle a skimwing as it seems," you tease, earning a chopped, slightly sheepish laugh from Jake. Your grin weakens when you see his arm, now reddened with whipped marks that seemed less severe from two hundred metres away. "Would you like something to aid that?"
"This? This ain't nothing." He brushes off, shoving the arm into the water.
"Hm," you murmur, raising a brow gently. "I will aid it for you if it does not fade within a few days."
"It's fine. Really—" he sees the expression on your face, and it's an expression that tells him that you will not give up on persistence. He sighs lowly. "'right, sweetheart."
Sweet heart? A heart that is sweet, you gathered. You've heard of many stories that your mother has told of the humans, and their foul and odd language. But this, you had not heard of. It should not have made the inner of your belly swirl with a sudden warmth like it had.
You raise your head, "Let's return to the ilu."
It's at the dark of night, and Jake is sat down with his family. Just like the Omoticaya, the Metkayina gather around for supper, a large bonfire in the middle of the peaceful people. The fish he chews is warm and smokey with flavor, his body tired from the day's work. Tuk is leant against his shoulder, a yawn leaving her. Neteyam sharpens an arrow of his bow, and Kiri is playing with one of her beads mangled in her hair as Lo'ak recklessly gobbles down his dinner.
He feels a sudden glow spread through his chest, because what he feels is the similar sensation of peace. Peace, at last. It partially convinces him to believe that what he did was right. It was right to rip himself and his family away from their home, to protect them from Quaritch and the vicious forces of the RDA.
He looks out in front of him and past the bright fire, his line of eyesight landing on both you and your family. You're scratching your knee as the bonfire toasts around you, its orange light illuminating on your face and giving the shade of your big eyes a warm glow. Ronal then looks to you, and the trace of her eyebrows pinch together. "Eat, child. You have barely touched any food," she snaps.
Obviously embarrassed, you heave out a long, exhausted sigh. "Mama," you whine out, a flush erupting on your cheeks and Jake has to suppress a chuckle from breaking out his chest.
Ronal picks up your wooden bowl, jutting it toward you. "Eat," she sterns. You take it from her, side-eyeing her as you begin to stuff your mouth little by little. When Jake realises he's been looking too long, he snaps his head down, mentally slapping himself.
When the lights are out and the only noise that goes through Jake's ears is the cold wind, Jake sits. He sits in his marui, as his children sleep soundly. It wasn't out of the ordinary. It had been like this for a while, ever since Neytiri had left him and gone into the hands of Eywa. He'd just wait and wait, until his eyes finally became wary, and sometimes even that didn't happen. Sometimes he would not find the comfort of sleep at all.
But then he hears the bend of the floor nets near him, the same clatter of shells he heard earlier that day and his ears flicker against his hair. He slowly gets up, careful not to awake the sleeping youngsters beneath him as he creeps his way to the closed opening of the pod.
When he opens the cloth flap, there you are, head flicked up and looking up at him with those big eyes of yours. "Hello," you say, and it's the quietest he has heard you.
"Hey," he mutters, gaze turning to his kids for a split second.
You lean your head over too, "Are they asleep?"
"Yes." He states, looking back at you. It's quiet for a second, and he takes the moment to do a once-over of you. Your hair is completely out, wild and breezing gently through the ocean's breeze. A shawl is wrapped loosely around your form, beaded with tiny shells that dangle each time your arm shifts.
"Tsireya has told me they are kind. That they are eager to learn." You continue, adjusting your shawl to cover your shoulder a bit more.
"That's good," he says. He gets a jolt of déjà vu from the conversation you shared earlier today. His eyes drift to the way a large piece of your hair sways in front of your shoulder and pools at the centre of your chest.
You then say a word, and he doesn't quite catch it.
"Hm?" he whispers, eyes connecting with yours once again.
"That is my name," you repeat it again, the word rolling off your tongue like a run of honey. His eyes twitch wide, blinking as his mind registers it. A pretty name for a pretty girl. He doesn't say that, though.
Instead, "S' pretty."
"Thank you," you mumble, already turning to leave when he calls out your name. You tilt your head, gazing up at him through the thick of your eyelashes.
"Just wanted to say it," he admits, and fuck, shit, he's already regretting it. He expects you to do anything but crack a gentle smile, a muffled and soft laugh from you as you turn back and walk away. He watched your form disappear into the night, the clattering of seashells fading from his ears.
When he climbs back into the pod, for the first time in a while, he finds the comfort of sleep easily.
🌀 ೃ⁀➷ ― 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞┃𝐧. 𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲
Tumblr media
🌀 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 : neteyam ✘ metkayina!fem!reader
🌀 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 : in which Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk’itan is alive, though his father, Jake Sully, was the one departed from their family, all because of a single bullet caused by none other than the Sky People. Witness to the grievance of his mother, things took an entirely different turn for the fifteen year old warrior. Living was already as heavy as it was; fleeing from home, seeking uturu, hoping for the Reef Clan to provide it, taking charge as the eldest; all of it took one sharp, and jarring turn to his world. But now, he had to not only be the elder brother but the leader, the provider of his family. The one to keep them safe, protected, well – it was then when he realized why his father had been so hard on him, on lo’ak; to prepare him for something grave such as this. Yet no amount of preparation can ever come with ease when it comes to loss. The poor boy didn’t have a proper, healthy grief, and instead he took a firm part in keeping it all in, in gaining a much more overprotective, some might say strict demeanor with his younger siblings in order to give them the proper care they needed, now more than ever. As years go by, not only has he made a spot for himself in the Metkayina Clan as a sharp warrior, but with the determination to find a mate, one that will carry on the name his father gave him as a Sully, and hope that one day, Neteyam and his family will go back to the forest to seek this mate.
But a vision from the Metkayina’s tsahik somehow changed it, a rather disoriented vision of one of the Olo’eyktan’s daughters , words his mother gave Neteyam changed his mind in leaving to seek a mate, and picked up an interest in the daughter that holds both tsahik, Ronal, and Olo’eyktan, Tonowari’s blood, the daughter that will one day carry the title of tsahik, and he is determined to make her his mate, going through the process of courting her. Tsireya is kindhearted and the perfect image of grace and decorum, the ideal mate for Neteyam. And yet, there is a particular, sharp witted one – the complete opposite of Tsireya, if anyone asked him. Y/N te Tonowari Le’anu’ite, the soon to be the torment to his purpose, to everything he is and has. Difficult of a personality she carried, infuriating being she was, and yet she was constantly overlooked from everyone within the clan. While he respected her character, he despised it just as much as she did for him. She will not have him, someone who is only strict to duty and a loveless mate, courting her sister, for she wants the best for Tsireya. But what happens, when in the middle of all this torment, a passion ignites? A passion that soon leads to much more between the two elder siblings? Both commit every one of their actions for the safety and future of their families… ( or in which, the sister wounds up falling hard for the omaticayan courting her sister, while he too falls into the flaming depths of passion for the sister.)
🌀 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 / 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 : ANGST!!, heavy on it alright?, slow burn, enemies to lovers, many flashbacks, eventual SMUT, ALRIGHT!!! neteyam will be aged up in this story, he’s nineteen, soon to become twenty though we will be traveling back to when he was fifteen, when the world turned completely upside down for this kid! for the sake of neteyam and for the ANGST, Jake sully is DEAD, though of course through the story the reason for his death will be said, and a few events that took place in atwow may be slightly different! neytiri is a bit…stricter, wants the best for all her children, we’ll see spider in this!! and feels a LOT of guilt for how neteyam had to witness her fall apart after jake passed, and I am honestly in debates still if jake should pass away while neytiri is pregnant of tuktirey or when they’re w the reef people already, but I have a storyline to both ways already so…we’ll see which I prefer !
neytiri is a very GOOD MOTHER OKAY, again, she wants the best for her kids, wants her eldest to have a mate he adores endlessly and not just because it is his duty to find a proper mate, but to experience the love she once shared with jake, before the humans returned — to experience and find peace and love. her relationship with neteyam may seem a bit iffy, but only because he still is not…entirely healed by the wound of his father’s death — lo’ak and kiri both too are like this, spider is a bit…scared and distant from Neytiri for reasons we all know, we’ll be seeing much more of neytiri and neteyam’s relationship — along with him and his siblings so we’ll be touching some trauma, okay? The sully’s family but the main point will be neteyam and reader!
reader is Tonowari’s blood daughter, BECAUSE WE ARE UNAWARE OF THE METKAYINA’S FAMILY NAME, TONOWARI’S NAME WILL BE FILLING THE LAST NAME, FIGHT MEEEE (..kidding, please don’t, but until avatar 3 comes out and we get a confirmation/reveal of their names, it will remain this way !) – TONOWARI WILL DIE CAUSED BY NONE OTHER THAN THE SKY PEOPLE, wounds to grave that a tsahik could not heal, and ronal grieves very badly :((, reader couldn’t have a proper grief however because she had to take care of ao’nung, of tsireya, of little baby brother who’d just been born, and ronal is NOT the biological mother of reader, HOWEVER, yes, we have seen ronal is very sharp and can come off as harsh but ronal considers reader her first and eldest daughter! has a soft spot for reader, tries best to treat reader with the same love and care she does with tsireya, reader, ao’nung, and tsireya are very close, ao’nung is a silly, reckless but dutiful brother and has a decent friendship with the sully boys, tsireya is 17, is a literal sweetheart and tsakarem, slightly naive!tsireya if you squint, LOVESS big sister!reader, tries so much to bring honor to her family, and for the sake of this series, tsireya and lo’ak’s immense liking for each other goes by oblivious between them unlike what we see in atwow — it is clear they like each other, but lo’ak is too wimpy to act on it ( will be a bit pissed at neteyam for choosing to court her—) and tsireya wants to make her family proud so she doesn’t exactly initiate the first move unless eywa gives the sign that he is bound for her — spiritual situations such as ronal as tsahik, which leads to her having a vision of her daughter being with an Omaticayan, and everyone — as in tonowari, ronal, and reader, thinks it is neteyam for he is the eldest and a great warrior within the metkayina, it leads to Ronal reaching out to neytiri and not exactly telling her about the vision but tries to convince her that tsireya and Neteyam will make a good pair—
reader is the same age as neteyam — nineteen soon to be twenty! reader has a sharp wit, neteyam and her clash almost always, reader loves, LOVES her little sister tsireya, Tsireya is a sweetheart within this, sort of arranged marriage between neteyam and tsireya? tsireya is guided by the hands of ronal and reader, reader is sorta overlooked by the clan because she is not the current Tsahik’s daughter? she isn’t neglected by her family, but the attention is more so focused on tsireya since she is to become next tsahik instead of reader, reader is such a softy when it comes to her sister and brother — sliver mentions of kiri x Ao’nung, AND kiri x rotxo, platonic!spider x Kiri !
reader and tuktirey have a very cute bond, and neteyam feels some type of way when seeing reader with her baby brother, feels…like she’d make a great mother, but so will tsireya since he’s COURTING HER, Kiri and reader slowly become iconic besties through this series, kiri does not want to be courted, thinks reader is happy without being courted by people or receiving constant attention even though she is daughter of olo’eyktan — reader is sensitive, but she doesn’t show it? does not like falling apart in front of the ones she loves, ESPECIALLY neteyam — neteyam is against finding a love match, however, and is more so focused in doing the will of eywa and having a decent, respected relationship with his future mate — something he seeks in tsireya, reader stands out from her siblings, NETEYAM’S ICONIC HAIR WHIPS AND SIDE EYES WILL BE MADE FUN OF BY READER, reader has an admiration for neytiri, neytiri does like tsireya AND reader, but she does take notice in the way neteyam particularly CANNOT keep his eyes off reader while courting her young sister — ronal and neytiri form a decent partnership during the courting –
tsireya, neteyam, neytiri and the rest of the sully’s are UNAWARE of the vision ronal has had — trust when Neytiri, Neteyam and Tsireya find out, they’re gonna feel some type of way — reader is against this union, starters because Neteyam INFURIATES THE LIVING HELLL OUT OF HER, cocky!neteyam, smart!mouthed reader, the TENSION IS THEREEEE, tsireya tries to be patient with overprotective!ao’nung AND reader, does gain a type of liking to Neteyam but is oblivious to the tension that is clear and thick as fuck with reader and neteyam, neteyam is obsessed with reader I tell you! Loves to get her all stirred up, many MANY banters between the two, meanish!neteyam, but we loveeee him, we love him so very much, vulnerable!reader …slowly we’ll start to see that, reader is against the idea of being worthy of love, Neteyam is thickheaded, both are very thickheaded, EVERYONE sees the way they are with each other, how they bring out that playful childish side out of the other — reader was raised in peace, yes, but she was under many duties too, she tries to keep her chin up high and not let anyone crush her down! Both drive each other insane yet cannot go a day without one consuming the other’s thoughts, much to their dismay – these two will soon, so very slowly start to see and share similarities, unraveling to one another.
🌀 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : truth be told? partly being the firstborn daughter of the family !!! and of course, most beautifully inspired by the depthful connection of kate sharma and anthony bridgerton ! I see parts of neteyam that could be connected to anthony, the nature of being the eldest benefited upon them, though of course it can be a heavy task — and seeing as anthony had barely become a man, as the eldest it was his duty to lead his entire family despite the grieving of his father — and I can see neteyam also carrying this responsibility as the big brother, especially when the sky people ( humans…smh ) return, and i feel that the nature jake carried during atwow towards neteyam can build up this… overprotective, strict side of neteyam that his siblings, and others, may see as selfish and too harsh, much like how many thought jake to be, but only because he wants the best for them, he wants to protect them, and feels like he understands now WHY jake was the way he was towards him — he didn’t want to wound up losing them… so that’s why our dear jake sully, toruk makto, and olo’eyktan tonowari must be dead within this series — sorry but not sorry lmfao😜
previous | part 3
word count: 3.7k
language: Tsahík- spiritual leader, Muntxate- mate / wife
description: To say you were happy about new arrangements would definitely be an understatement, yet somehow people’s word still struck you to your core. Little did you know a certain na’vi would put those too rest with three simple words. Fluff fluff and fluff.
Tumblr media
“I seek the family’s approval too court Y/n”
Head shooting up you could hardly believe the words that had left his lips. Eyes wide you looked too Ao’nung searching for any hint of deception. Heart racing in your chest your shocked features soon twisted into confusion. “Why?” Although your voice was low it seemed too echo through out the mauri. The deafening silence flooding back in once your words had faded. Gaze moving from your father too you his eyes seemed too soften. Your body stiff and hands clasped together in your lap as you tucked your pinkie in. A habit he had seemed too have created. Ears tinting slightly purple the male looked around. It seemed all eyes were on him, waiting for an answer. “I am showing my intentions.” Taking a pause Ao’nung seemed to be searching for his words. Ronal holding a proud smile as her son spoke.
“I wish to make you my Tsahík. No other woman has made me feel this way, and I do not wish for you too slip from my grasp.” Feeling flustered at the peering eyes Ao’nung ripped his eyes away from you. Now facing your parents. “I will treat her better than any other sutor could. The gifts in the corner are all for Y/n and her family.” Feeling the weight of the situation the Nerves began too set in for Ao’nung. His tail swaying with anxiousness. All of your family’s eyes seemed too turn towards you as they studied you for answer. You could not seem too meet their eyes as you could not tear your eyes from Ao’nung. Hand covering your mouth a dark hue washed over your cheeks. You did not even hear the second part as his words repeated in your head like a broken disc. He wish too make you his Tsahík. You are the first na’vi he had ever wanted too make his.
Stifling a laugh at your expression Lo’ak was the first too voice his opinion. “I accept, I know her better than anyone, and my sister seems overjoyed.” Shyly looking too your brother he met your gaze with a close lipped smile. You could not contain the way your tail whipped with excitement at his approval. “I knew this was coming so I’m with Lo’ak.” Kiri voiced her opinion, shrugging her shoulders as if she was not stunned only a minute ago. “I am fine with it, hopefully there is no mal-intent.” Your eldest brother locked eyes with the na’vi. His yellow orbs staring daggers into Ao’nung soul with an unspoken threat. Eyes just as heavy Ao’nung looked at Neteyam. An underlying offense in his expression. “I do not have any mal-intent.”
“We’ll I think that settles it. Me and my wife also approve. I believe her siblings judgement is strong.” Processing jakes words a smile slowly made its way too Ao’nungs face . Oceans eyes immediately finding you. You felt your heart leap at this action a shy smile making its way onto your lips. Although your future had been decided for you, you did not feel any resentment. If anything your felt an overwhelming sense of love and acceptance as the dinner commenced. You could not seem to maintain eye contact with your future mate without your face heating up. Overwhelmed with the feelings you had tried so hard too suppress, the feeling you never thought would be returned. It seemed that the dinner had ended too soon your family soon leaving the mauri. Ao’nung eyes did not seem to leave your body as you stood, bidding his sister goodbye.
Seeing him walk over you felt your heart leap. Meeting his eyes you felt as if you could burst with joy. “Goodnight y/n” Tucking your one stray braid behind your ear his ocean eyes bore into yours. Brining your hand up too his you navigated it too your cheek slightly nuzzling into his touch. “Goodnight Ma Aonung.” Face flushing the male looked at you his pupils dilating. Eyes scanning your features he had no doubt in his mind he had made the right choice. Ao’nung was sure he had his future in his hands.
The next morning the you were awoken by the bustle of your home. lazily bring your body up you squinted your eyes attempting too adapt too the sunlight. Dazed and confused you struggled too set dream from reality. The memories of last night flooding in seeming as if they were a fantasy. “Y/n if you don’t want this can I have it?” Groggily blinking you processed Tuks words. Eyes traveling too the item in her hand you couldn’t help but let out a slight gasp. “Oh my Eywa.” Taking the bracelet out of Tuks hands you rushed over too the growing pile of materials in your family’s Mauri. Paying no mine too Tuks noises of disapproval you were too wrapped up in your own head. Mouth agape you scanned the amount of offerings brought too your mauri as the reality set in. A giggle erupted from your throat as you could help but embrace your youngest sister, spinning the twelve year old in the air. “I am being courted by Ao’nung!!” Shrill laugher filling the air the mauri was soon full of joy as Tuk mirrored your excitement, not quite sure why you were so hype, but she did not care.
“Looks like we made the right choice.” Body spinning too the entrance your eyes landed apon your father and brothers. The two younger ones carrying the remainder of the gifts as they entered. Placing Tuk down you threw your body into your fathers arms. A heart filled laughed rumbled through your fathers chest as he now spun you around. “Thank you daddy!” Wrapping your arm around your father he happily returned your hug. “Anything too make you happy baby girl.” A small smile made its way onto Jakes lips as he hugged you. Pride filling him with the fact that he had made you happy, that he had made the right choice.
“Not too be a vibe killer but sis…. you do know Ao’nung saw all that.” The humor in Neteyams voice was evident as Lo’aks giggles were already spilling past his lips. Pulling yourself away from your father you peer over his shoulder and sure enough the na’vi was there. A smug smirk placed apon his lips as he handed your father the items in his hands. “Morning y/n.” Hands clasping together you turn your gaze too the floor. The embarrassment of what he had witnessed slowly settling in. “Good morning” Almost muttering it you shifted your body weight from side too side.
“You kids get out of here ronal is expecting you.” Interrupting the awkward exchange your father ushered you out. Face heating up you took your place beside Ao’nung. Your heart seeming to rest at his usually pace around him as it beat against your chest rapidly. “I’ll walk you to the healing tent?” Voice rough the male smirk rested comfortable on his lips. Nodding your head softly you agreed. Pushing back your nerves you boldly took ahold of his arms. Your slim arm easily wrapping around his bigger one. Muscles stiffening under your hold his cocky demeanor slowly slipped away at your proximity. “You do not know what you do to me forest girl.” Finding your smaller hand he engulfed it with his. A warm feeling crashing over the both of you.
As the two of you walked to the healers tent it seemed that the village began to wake with your pretense. A chatter following behind you as the village gossiped. Ao’nung had never openly showed his affection no matter how many relationships he had been in so for him to be walking hand in hand with a na’vi sent shock waves through the village. It did not take long for your news of him courting you to spread like wildfire. You would not be surprised if by the time the two of you had reached the Tsahíks tent the whole village knew. Usually this would make a woman proud. Being claimed by a man so openly was suppose to be something a woman dreams of yet you felt none of that. You did not enjoy the gossiping that occurred after your arrival and did not wish for something about you to be in mouths of others. Sensing your unease Ao’nung squeezed your hands oceans eyes not tearing away from yours.
“You okay y/n?” Stopping a few steps away from the entrance of your destination he turned his body towards you. Your arm being ripped away from latching onto his. A sense of guilt seemed to build as you looked into his concerned eyes. You did not wish to dampen the mood over something so minor. “Of course.” Clasping your hands together you sent a small smile towards the male. Obviously not buying it his face seems to harden but the words never had a chance to leave his lips. Aggressively opening the tent Ronal announced her presence. “You are keeping my student from me. Arent you accompanying your father today? ” Crossing her arms the two of your turned to her. An annoyance plastered on Ao’nungs face as his eyes rolled at his mothers words. “Meet me after eclipse on the beach.” Words spilling out of his lips he pressed a hasty kiss to your forehead. “Of course” responding, your once dampened mood skyrocketd at the simple gesture as the na’vi ran off. Shyly looking too his mother she wore a similar smirk too her sons as she eyed you knowingly. “Come child, we must begin your preparation.”
Whoever said being a woman in a clans was easy, is a liar. For hours you were given examples and duties of tsahík and the list made your head spin. Not saying that these tasks would be overbearing but it definitely wasn’t light work. You could only thank Eywa the festivities and religious ceremonies were branched out the months. Now, sitting in front of foreign herbs you attempted to memories the names and affects. You only knew a minor amount of healing as you were a warrior alongside your brother in the forest. You tried to tie the Metkayina herbs to the ones you already had knowledge of. “Atla will be helping you I must step out.” Forcing you out of your mind Ronal commanding voice filled the Mauri. Eyeing the na’vi next to the woman you examined her features. She could not be much older than you, maybe around Ao’nungs age. Atla was beautiful standing taller than you she held herself with elegance and confidence with a smile. Rising to your feet you hurriedly greet the woman. “I am y/n”
“Oh please I know, you’re the talk of village!” Voice high pitch she spoke enthusiastically. Striding over to you. “Do not gossip the whole time. The future Tsahík must learn quickly.” Words stern Ronals words were commanding. Although she had her soft moments the thought of having her as a mother in law still sent shivers down your spine. It seemed that her intimidation did not have the same affect on Atla because as soon as Ronal form vanished the woman already had rumors spilling out her mouth. “Is it true you are pregnant ? How far along are you? People in the village are saying its the only reason he’s with a na’vi well……like you.”
“Excuse me?” Confusion and shock evident in your voice you looked the na’vi up and down. Processing her words your feelings soon turned sour. “I am not pregnant, and what do you mean na’vi like me” Poison evident in your voice you looked at the taller woman. “I mean, you are not metkayina and on top of that you’re not true na’vi.” You felt your stomach drop with her eyes as she examined your hand. Clasping them together you quickly tucked in your extra finger body language rigid and hurt. Your obvious signs of discomfort did not seem to affect Atla as she continue too speak as if this was a causal conversation. “The people just never thought he would chose an outsider and alien. There’s a bunch of theories going around since this morning but most think you trapped the poor boy. Did you seduce him?” Disregarding your feelings her eyes bore into yours. She did not seem to have a hint of remorse. The room seemed to suffocate you as you processed her words. Tears pricking the ends of your eyes as your emotions made it hards too breath.
“The people do not think I’m worthy?” Voice cracking you looked up to the female. Her eyes showed confusion at your question as her thoughts swarmed in her head. “I mean, not really, but look at you.” Her words were harsh as she motioned to your frame. “To be honest I always thought it would be me, I was pretty surprised that his parents let him chose.” Not being able to handle anymore of her rambling you rushed through the exit. Inside you knew a part of her was doing this out of jealousy acting all innocent and casual so you would be the dramatic one but you could not seem to care as you stormed out the Mauri. You knew your feeling of euphoria would not last long and people would talk, Ao’nung was to the future chief after all, but hearing the word so soon still hurt. Looking at it from an outside perspective it did make sense, Ao’nung should be with a real Metakyina.
That night you did not meet Ao’nung at the beach. Hell you didn’t even go back to your Mauri. Finding peace in the small forest on the island you hid yourself from reality and the hatefulness of the clans disapproval. Basking in the darkness of the forest you pretended as if you were home. Pretend that you were away from all this conflict for all the disproval you got for the sin of being born. You couldn’t help but wonder if things would be different if you had three fingers. Raising your hand into the sky a hatred grew as you examined the five fingers, cursing Eywa for allowing your soul to crossover into such a form.
To say Ao’nung was confused was an understatement. The male did not understand why you had not shown up on the shoreline. All the excuses in his head running out as eclipse turned too day. The male had dozed off on the shoreline awoken by the tide against his skin. His confusion soon turned to irritation as he gathered his thoughts. The na’vi was quick to set out on a search checking your family Mauri to no avail. They had simply said they assumed she was with him their worried faces telling no lies. His mother seemed to be a dead end as well. Ronals words being “She stormed out on Atla, Atla said it was because she was frustrated with all her tasks.” It was hard for him to believe her words as you were not the type to give up. Finally, the idea of the small forest in near the village struck his mind as he was quick to venture into the unfamiliar area.
Ao’nung had never been much of a land adventurer always sticking to the ocean. He saw the small forest as a place for the gatherers never setting foot in a place he did not have control over. To say he was wandering endlessly would not be a far stretch as he seemed to be lost among the tropical trees. Frustrated and hot his discomfort was unmatched. But, it seems his tireless search did not end up fruitless as his sights soon landed on your dark blue body laid leisurely agains a tree. Your hands worked slowly as you peeled a fruit with your knife. Meaningless humming filling the area around you. “Is this where you have been?!”
Jumping as his voice the fruit was quick to fall out your hand along with your knife. You felt your stomach drops as your eyes were met with a seeming furious Ao’nung. His shadow casting a shade over you as you looked up to meet his eyes. A familiar feeling of guilt and regret seemed to bubble up as you looked at the man the furrow in his eyes unrelenting. “I did not mean too-”
“What? Stand me up?” Voice dripping with anger he glared down at you. “I do not understand what you want.” His seeming angry tone cracked as he said his last sentence. A hint of hurt seeping through his frustration. “Do you even want me? Your actions are so contradicting I do not understand!” Anger slipping away it seems that his true emotions seemed to show. The confusion and pain evident in his tone. “Ao’nung, of course I want you.” Voice soft you rose to your feet. Attempting to place a hand on his shoulder. Harshly ripping away from your touched the na’vi looked into your yellow eyes. “You say that I was playing with you now look at you.” Seeming to come to his own conclusion the na’vi backed away. Heart racing in a panic at his retreating form you felt all your newly formed doubts spill to the surface. Your brain screaming a you to make him stay.
“No! You don’t understand! I simply came out here to recollect. Ao’nung, please.” Racing after him your hand gripped on his shoulder. Harshly turning around his ocean eyes bore into yours. “Ah yes and thats a perfect excuse for showing interest than running away!” Sarcasm evident in his tone his fist clench at his sides. “I just-“ A roll of his eyes seems to shut your right up. A lump in your throat slowly gathering as you felt him slipping from your grasp. “I do not want to hear it y/n”
“No! I only left because your clan does not wish to have me. An alien and outsider as a Tsahík? They do not want me Ao’nung. How could you want me?” Tears pricking the sides of your eyes the lump in your throat only grew as they escaped cascading down your face. “Who has said this?” Although the anger was still evident it was no longer directed towards you as his hand quickly cupped your face. “You have said these words as well you can not be mad at your fellow tribesmen.” Eyes flashing with regret his oceans eyes swarmed with many emotions. Remembering the harsh words that had left his mouth many time.
“I was a skxáwng. I have always wanted you even before I ever realized what these feelings are. Y/n you are meant to be my Tsahík. I do not care what words leave the mouths of the clan members they listen to me.” Softly wiping away your tears his calloused hand brushed against your cheek. Letting his body relax it seems that all the resentment flowed out. His impulsive feelings leaving alongside his assumed conclusions. Feeling the tension leave his body you could help but allow your heart to flutter at his words. Stepping forward you closed the distance between you and Ao’nung, seeming entranced by his very being. Your body did not seem to stop until you felt the heat from his chest only an inch away from yours.
Breathing rigged his ocean eyes scan you. Flashing between your eyes and lips. His self control withering away by the second. “They will always see me as an alien. No amount of power can change that.” Almost as if supporting your point you brung your hand up putting your four fingers on display. It was as if you were working against yourself on purpose, still not fully accepting you could be his. The invisible marks from his actions from weeks ago still seeping in. “Their opinions have no effect on me. I do not care what they see.” Turquoise hand wrapping around yours his color engulfed your hand. “I see you y/n”
His touch burning you looked into his eyes. The breath from your lungs taken away. “I can not breathe without your presence y/n. You do not have to say it back but please do not push yourself away from me I-“ Stoping the mans nervous rant you could not help but crash your lips into his. His hands dropping to rest on your hips. You could taste the saltiness of your tears but it seemed neither of you seemed to care refusing to break the connection. Pushing down the burning of your lungs your pressed your hands against his chest pushing the male until back hit a bark of a tree. An amused hum came from his throat as he pulled away his normal persona taking no time to come back as a smirk rested upon his lips. Chest heaving you seemed to drown in his eyes struggling to catch your breath. “I see you Ao’nung.”
Heart fluttering at your words Ao’nungs ears seemed to shoot up. His once smirking face morphing into a genuine smile. “You will be my muntxate no one will stop that.” Voice stern and determined the male seems to be reassuring your doubts with his eyes holding no lies. A small sigh breached you lips as you rested your head on his chest. Your slim arms wrapping around his waist in a soft embrace he was quick to return. “I will not run away again. I will seek my refuge with you ma Aonung.” A purr coming from his chest the male could not be happier as held you in his arms. A sense of peace washing over the both of you as all the difficulties disappeared. “I will always be here for you my forest girl.”
