Sanders Sides Audio Drama Auditions

Auditions for the Syzygy Audio Drama are now open! You can find the link to the audition information here!

Make sure to only submit the form once you are confident in your recording! Only the first submission will be accepted, so take your time and get the best take you can before submitting!

Tips for recording your audition:

Record in a small space that's insulated - a closet can work very well, as the clothes can minimize the echo and avoid too many outside sounds.

Make sure you are the proper distance from your microphone - this can take some testing and trial and error!

Have your microphone resting on a flat surface, don't attempt to move it while recording.

Don't be afraid to do multiple takes and only pick your favorite ones!

Audacity is a free audio recording software that is very intuitive for a beginner to use, if you're looking for a recording program.

Ok so maybe this is an unpopular opinion?

But wouldn’t AI be perfect for Podfics? Like? I can’t be the first to think about this right? Imagine your favorite story being read but every time a specific character says something it’s actually the character talking!

I got this idea after listening to a reel where multiple people sung a song with the help of AI and it was actually not bad! (Link in comments)

I mean obviously it’s not perfect but am I the only one who things that this would be a proper use for ai instead of stealing artists jobs?

And before you start to argue that then it would basically be stealing podfic creators jobs, no, the narrator could still be very much read by the podfic creator as a neutral voice.

Coffin by @kieraelieson. Sanders Sides, 70k, casebound at quarter size (with slipcase!), plus two bonus oneshots done up in paperback booklet style that fit in the back of the case.

Typeset in Georgia, with Vampires used for the titles/headings, and Last Rites used for the drop caps and cover. All illustrations done by me - there's six full-page pieces in total, all throughout the book, plus the title plate and chapter headers! I'll probably put all of those in another post, eventually.

The cover titling is silver HTV, which makes for a striking look against the swirly flowery grey, and I may have gone overboard with the coffin imagery in the cutouts. But in my defense, it's the title of the fic and it's a hell of an eyecatching motif.

The sole copy of this binding is now in Kiera's possession! It is a very very heartfelt gift to her for all of the wonderful things she's created and the absolutely killer podfic she did for one of my longfics. It's my dearest hope that this chunky little volume makes her day as much as the podfic made mine. 💜

Deceit Falls: Growing Up Together (Timestamps to be added)

This is a Prequel to Deceit Falls Thomas is a kid and so are the Sides. King Creativity is still around but not for long. How will the kid Deceit and the other sides react to such a big change in Thomas's mind when Creativity is split it to two? Deceit is not sure how to take the chaotic side which is Remus, who seems to be stalking him and causing Thomas to get in too much trouble, bring Morality to their door to 'chat' about the uncontrollably creative half. Not that Deceit see's how that's his problem. Meanwhile, Virgil is curious about the light Sides, especially the new Prince that looks like he escaped from a Disney film. Maybe this could be his chance to talk to a real Prince; even if he is just a kid like Virgil. A Kid story going off of my other Sanders Fic called; Deceit Falls.

I was so excited to do a poetic of this story! @edupunkn00b wrote this amazing story about the makings of family and how deep a bond can be when not from blood but from choice. It is both heartwarming and heart breaking. Thank you again Edu for letting me read your story.
