Along For The Ride (Nakamura Kazuha)

Author: Just a oneshot story from one of my Wattpad books. Also if you want to see more of my works check out my Masterlist.

Y/N's POV

Washing my brand-new 2022 Ford GT that I've recently picked up a couple of weeks ago, and I've already fallen in love with it as it was my dream car since childhood.

Even though I live in Japan and some car fanatics find it odd that I bought an American sports car instead of Japanese models like Nissan or Toyota.

But it's whatever, I've made some modifications to the exhaust pipes and added a spoiler making it look more badass.

While power washing the windshield I heard my phone ringing, quickly finishing up cleaning the windshield, I set aside the gun and looked at the screen to see my good friend Mina calling me.

"Yes, Minari?" I greeted as I continue washing my car.

"Hey, Y/N/N, you coming to the car show tonight?" She asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"Well, thought I might want to tell you this, the famous rookie Idol and member of Le Sserafim is coming to the show!" She informed me and I raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you referring to?" I asked.

"Nakamura Kazuha," She answered and my eyes widened.

"W-What?!" I exclaimed and I heard her giggle over the phone.

"That's right~! Momo and Sana are coming along as well and since we're all Idols, could give you a chance to talk to her!" She replied and I sighed.

"U sure that's fine, Minari?" I asked.

"Of course, it's fine, you're our friend!" She assured.

"H-Haha, alright then, see you at the car show, Minari!" I said my goodbyes.

"Yeah, see ya there~!" She replied before hanging up.

Jeez, who knew my ult bias in Kpop would be there at a car show tonight...? That means that I have to make sure my GT is presentable at her best so I won't make myself look like a fool.

Anyway, I finish power washing my car, drying it using a microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints and some water stains left from the hose.

After doing a final check on the bodywork, everything looked to be ready to go for the show, and I couldn't wait to see the look on Sana's face as she is not aware that I bought a Ford GT.

When it was around five in the afternoon, I take the car keys, open the door, hop inside the driver's seat, insert the keys into the ignition switch, and hear the magnificent sound of the engine starting.

Hearing the loud roar coming from the exhaust and engine running was like music to my ears even though it does piss off my neighbors but that's not important right now.

Taking off the parking brake, I roll down to the street and drive out of the neighborhood to the main road.

The drive was about fifteen minutes until I arrived at the big ass parking lot in the mall and seeing all the Nissan GTRs and Toyota Supras and all sorts of cars was a sight to see.

When I rolled in with my Ford GT, the photographers began taking pictures of my car from all angles and everyone was checking it out but I didn't mind.

Pulling in front of the girl's cars, they were all astonished except for Mina since she was there the day I picked it up.

"Oppa, is this your car?" Momo asked and I got out of the car.

"Yep," I answered and I locked the doors using the keys.

"Do you know how much that model cost nowadays?!" Sana asked and I nodded.

"What can I say? Running that online business really paid off," I answered.

"Wah, so trading stocks really does work..." Sana replied.

"If you have the right cards that is," I mentioned.

Discussing my work in the trade market, everyone else was preparing their cars for presentation, I heard a loud roaring of an engine and I turn around to see a Red 2017 Acura NSX pulling up into the parking lot.

Once the Acura NSX was parked, the doors opened revealing a man in formal attire and Nakamura Kazuha herself.

"Uhm, Minari, who is that guy?" I curiously asked.

"You've never heard of him? That is Jay Nam he's Kazuha's rich boyfriend, he runs a trading business like you do but he's a bit arrogant since he makes ten times the amount of money our band makes in a year." She explained.

"Jay Nam, huh? Damn, that is surely a nice ride," I replied.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you all for taking the time to come here and showing off your babies to everyone!" Jay thanked everyone.

With their arms locked to each other, I can't help but envy him as he's literally dating my dream girl and my ult bias.

"Now to start off, I can't help but admire all of your masterpieces that you've all brought here tonight! As you all may know, I am your host and founder of this event... Jay Nam!" He introduced himself and everyone cheered.

"But tonight! This isn't just going to be any other car show the likes you've ever seen, I will also be hosting races and a competition to see who's the best of the best!" He announced making everyone excited.

Damn, this Jay Nam guy really knows what gets us car fanatics siked and happy, maybe he isn't so bad after all...

"Wait a second...? A Ford GT? Now that is a first, although it is a nice-looking sports car but what's an American sports car doing all the way out here?" He asked.

Okay, I take back everything I just said about him... He really is arrogant like Minari warned...

"Ahem, getting to the point, who is excited about some races?!" Kazuha barged in and everyone cheered once more.

Seeing Jay glaring at her, Kazuha ignored him, and they stepped off the stage but I could actually hear them argue about something.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Do you have any idea this could hurt your image?!" Kazuha angrily asked.

"I should be asking you the same! How about you let me handle this and stay out of my way!" He angrily replied.

"Do they always argue like this?" I curiously asked and she nodded.

"Yep," She simply answered.

When they were finished arguing, Kazuha walked away from Jay making him deeply sigh and he slowly approached me.

"Are you the owner of this American trash?" He mockingly asked and I crossed my arms.

"Yes, why?" I asked in a monotone voice.

"Haha. Out of all the sports cars in the industry, you seriously went with a Ford GT?" He asked and I grinned.

"Don't be so smug, Jay, remember the Ford GT is the car that beat Ferrari in Le Mans," I mentioned and he chuckled.

"Oh, you poor thing, my Acura NSX can go a lot faster than any Ferrari not to mention Ford," He replied.

"You wanna bet on that?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow.

"I'm listening..." He said.

"How about this? If I beat you in a race, you have to get on your knees and admit that Ford is better than Acura in front of the whole crowd," I proposed and he chuckled.

"You've got some spirit, kid, I'll give you that... But if I win, you'll have to be my butler and I'll get to fuck my girlfriend along with your other girlfriends in front of you!" He explained and I grinned.

"It's a deal then," I agreed making everyone go woah.

Walking away from Jay without saying a word, I felt my arm being tugged and I turned around to see Kazuha with a worried look.

"Oh... Uhm, h-hey Kazuha," I nervously greeted.

"You're a fool, you know that?" She asked and I was lost for words.

"W-What?" I asked and she sighed.

"You really shouldn't have taken that deal with Jay, he's never once lost a race, and believe me there are others that tried and they lost. I've seen what happened to them and trust me... You don't want to be one of them." She warned and I nodded.

"Maybe so, but I'm not going to let an arrogant shithead like him beat me in a race, I've made my word Kazuha, and I'm certainly not going to back down now," I replied and she nodded.

"Fine, have it your way then," She said before walking away.

When the race track was all set, Jay and I pulled up behind the starting line, the grid girl stood between our cars and explained the rules and the entire track we must follow.

Holding the green flag high in the air, we started our engines, and the second she signals the start of the race, we sped off into the distance.

At first, Jay went in front of me, I shifted to the next gear increasing the power to the engine and I started to catch up.

When our cars met side by side, he glared at me for a second and put the pedal to the metal but I wasn't going to let him get away.

Shifting to the next gear, again increasing the power and speed, we drifted around the turns and I did them flawlessly as Jay did the same.

We were halfway toward the finish line and the race began to grow more intense as we kept increasing speed but I had to be careful to reduce RPM as I drift otherwise I'll spin out and crash.

But I can see Jay was starting to get a bit cocky with his drifting skills as he spun out at a turn because he was going too fast. Didn't Kazuha say he's one of the best drivers in the country?

Anyway, when we are approaching the finish line, we put in full power to the engines and shift the gears to the max.

Right when we crossed the finish line, it was pretty much at the same time causing everyone to gasp and we hit the brakes putting our cars at a halt.

We both get out of our vehicles with Jay giving me a deadly look claiming that he crossed the line first but I argued that I crossed it first and we argued for God knows how long until Kazuha and the others broke us up.

Waiting at the parking lot as the racing officials and the camera crew playback the footage determining who won the race and it's been nearly half an hour and felt like an eternity with the anxiety and pressure.

"We have a winner!" One of the crew announced.

"With just barely an inch to spare... The victor of this race goes to... Jang Y/N!" The crewmember announced and everyone clapped and cheered.

Left speechless that I'd actually defeated Jay Bitch in a race, he was left in utter humiliation and embarrassment, and based on the look on his face, he wasn't going to give up easily.

"This is bullshit! I want to watch that footage for myself!" Jay demanded.

"Sorry, Jay, but we've fully reviewed everything in the footage and we determined that Jang Y/N has won fair and square and you are just being a sore loser," He replied and he grabbed him by the collar.

"Nobody calls me a sore loser! Nobody!" Jay angrily said.

It didn't take long until the parking lot security stepped into the situation and forced Jay to let go of him but he somehow managed to push them all away.

Everyone backed away in fear, Jay goes into his car, takes out a metal baseball bat before going to my Ford GT and swinging the bat onto the windshield until it shattered into pieces.

Immediately, I stopped that maniac from causing more damage to my car by grabbing the bat and kicking him in the stomach.

Raising my fist, I punched him in the face as hard as I could causing him to lose his grip on the bat, and I got a hold of it before finishing him off by swinging at his head knocking him out cold.

"Go smoke a dick, Jay Bitch..." I said before spitting on his face and tossing the bat on the ground and Kazuha walked up to him.

"Consider me your ex-girlfriend, you were a great man, Jay, but now look at you..." Kazuha mentioned before sighing.

"How long have you two been dating?" I curiously asked.

"About a couple of years, he was once kind and caring toward others which is the reason why I fell for him that was until he started his online marketing business. He became greedy, selfish, and arrogant. I've been thinking about leaving him for a while now and I'm a fool for not doing so sooner." She explained.

After that whole fiasco was over, the tow truck came to tow my car to take it to the body shop to replace the broken windshield and I knew it wasn't gonna be cheap.

Leaving me with no ride to get back to my house, Mina drove me back to my house, she couldn't help but feel sorry but I assured her that it was fine since beating up Jay was a good enough compensation.

The next day, when it was morning, I finished showering, I was eating breakfast at my dining table until I heard the doorbell ringing.

Getting up from my chair, I walked up to the front door, looked through the peephole, and I was shocked to see Kazuha standing on my porch so I opened the door.

"How did you find me?" I asked and she smiled.

"I simply asked Mina-Unnie for your address just to deliver this," She answered before handing over an envelope and a signed album.

"What's all of this for?" I asked.

"For the damages to your car, should be more than enough to cover the bill and you can keep the rest and the album as an apology gift." She answered.

"A-Are you sure?" I nervously asked and she nodded.

"Yes, of course! Also, I never thought you had it in you... You're the first guy to ever publicly humiliate Jay. From what I heard, all of his buyers are calling off their contracts so it's only a matter of time before goes into bankruptcy." She explained.

"Looks like I've made history, the Ford GT not only beats Ferrari but also Acura, something to add to the books," I jokingly replied and she giggled.

"It would seem so, it was nice talking to you but I gotta go now, my manager is waiting for me in the car," She said and I nodded.

"Well, it was sweet meeting my ultimate bias, and thank you for the money," I thanked her and she smiled before waving goodbye.

Walking away to the SUV parked in front of my driveway, she gets inside the passenger seat and the SUV drives out of the neighborhood.

Going back inside my house, I take a looked at the signed album of all the members of Le Sserafim which made me smile as it was quite thoughtful of her.

Opening the envelope using the letter cutter, as expected, there was over five grand which made me choke as this was a fuck ton of money to give to some random fan like myself.

But there wasn't just money inside the envelope, there was a handwritten letter that obviously, Kazuha wrote herself, and I read it.

Hey Y/N,

I wrote this letter to formally apologize for my ex-boyfriend's actions of vandalizing your car over losing the race between the two of you last night. Inside this envelope should be at least five thousand US dollars and that should be more than enough to cover the replacement of your front windshield.

Oh, and one more thing... If you ever want someone to talk to... Call me (Insert Phone Number)

After finished reading her letter, I can't help but blush as Kazuha gave me her phone number, and I can already guess that Mina and her friends are going to relentlessly tease me.

But I know this for certain... This could lead to something more interesting...

While waiting impatiently to respawn, Fen stuffs her mouth full of chips and directs her attention to the chatbox next to her game screen instead. She tries to pay as much attention as she can to her Twitch subs, maintaining a friendly and laid-back atmosphere where she can indulge in snacks, gaming, and occasional swears while her audience contently watches her.

gentlexdemon23: Maybe if you used something other than dual pistols in this map you wouldn't suck so bad :)

Fen barely remembers to gulp down her food before reading out loud this particular comment that caught her attention, using an annoying voice for it.

"Dude, dual pistols are the best what are ya talking about? Why bother with another weapon when I've already mastered one. Dumbass."

Fen relaxes back into her gaming chair as a wall of the same comments saying "you must be new here", likely directed at gentlexdemon23, flash at a fast speed across the chat screen. Suddenly a telltale noise announces a donation, and Fen excitedly thanks the person before reading out:

Fen's bright magenta eyes all but begin to sparkle with excitement upon seeing the request.

"You mean my babies? Hell yeah! Thank you, Alice the second! Wait, are ya a chick? Or just another guy using a cute anime girl as their pfp?"

Fen's eyes scan carefully through the endless wave of lol's in fear she'll miss that one username she's looking for.

alicethe2nd: I'm a girl, haha! I'm not even into these things, I just fell down the rabbit hole and found myself watching your streams... I think you're cool!

This time Fen doesn't read the message out loud, though the way her lips move the people watching her could probably figure that the reply got to her safely. There's a brief pause that Fen utilizes to get back on track after failing to notice she's been respawned in the game. That's rare.

She's far from being so naive as to trust random fans blindly and take their word for granted, much less initiate further contact with them, even if that one sounded quite cute.

Oh well.

ive been following & have had notifs on for years. i actually dont even pay attention to kpop anymore AIDBBFHFDISO but ive always wanted to know sooo badly: how does LOOH end?

I know it's on indefinite hiatus but it doesn't seem like itll ever be completed, and the curiosity has always killed me 😭

its kinda hard to say how looh was supposed to end because i kinda write smaus on the go without indepth storylines lol (i.e. basically i bullshit on the go and fake it til i make it)

fair warning also that ive forgotten almost all of looh by this point... i used to have a notebook with my ideas for the smau but i lost it during my last move so this is what i can remember. apologies if there are inconsistencies but i genuinely dont remember LMAOOO its been (8)4 years...

i can give you an idea of how i was thinking of ending looh... under the cut for the sake of people who dont give af lol

i do know for a fact that i planned jimin and y/n to be endgame. it was going to be a long process of "will they or wont they" because of jimins underlying insecurities and y/n's inability to introspect would always be a hindrance in their relationship

i know i framed y/n as like a "really good person" but she really isnt perfect. i was gonna lay more groundwork to "expose" her for some of the fucked up shit she did in the past (i forgor 💀) and i was planning on exploring her internalized "holier than thou" complex

that was gonna be the second main conflict after the whole jimin vs tae conflict... kinda like a season 2 lol

BUT BACK TO SEASON 1... tae vs jimin lol so yeah tae releases that slander video on jimin and he runs away... y/n is supposed to have a big altercation with jin and make him release a statement proving jimin's innocence... jin ofc says no and y/n + jimin (+kook on the side) have to figure out a way to improve jimin's public image

my initial idea was that he tries to pivot towards becoming a professional dancer and joining hoseok's crew... i was planning on introducing a new character (likely seungkwan haha gotta keep with the seventeen member cameos) who was gonna be like a PR manager... they'd make a youtube channel and post content about their dancers. not just their dances, but interviews, challenges, etc. just to "prove" jimin is the good guy or something.

on the side, the seungcheol/jeonghan/yoongi drama... yeah seungcheol gets dumped by y/n like an additional two times LOL and for funsies, jeonghan confesses his feelings for seungcheol to y/n (shocker) and its all very messy mwahahah (yeah they both end up sad in the end my bad). as for yoongi... OH BOY

so yeah he got rejected by y/n which RUINS his ego and he doesnt give up for a while. then he starts crushing on seungcheol (who previously had a crush on him lol) and it gets very messy but overall he gets called out on his power tripping ways and ends up alone at the end teehee (he was gonna get an epilogue scene where he goes to the club all drunk and shit and a younger guy hits on him but calls him "sir" after seeing his face properly lol)

as for jin/hoseok/namjoon... uhhh yeah 2seok dont end up strictly together... theyre both chaebols with fucked up senses of humor (they both enjoy playing with people like chess pieces) and jin gets super pissed when he finds out hoseok has been playing with HIM on the side. they have a heated argument that causes the collapse of bang ent (hoseok has more money/influence than him and essentially grabs the company off jin's hands) and BOOM friends to lovers to enemies to ???

oh and namjoon is there. uhhhh yeah he becomes jin's little puppet for a while. essentially namjoon spies on y/n for jin and breaks her trust. this further strains kook's mental state because he feels super guilty about everything. i was planning on kook being pro-joon and breaking y/n's heart, but i wasnt sure. it all depends on how i was feeling tbh LMAOOO sometimes i like making jungkook cry (all the time)

as for tae... yeah he wins LOL he's essentially the main antagonist (its not jin... surprise) but he actually succeeds in becoming a very popular pornstar. even when hoseok grabs the company, he keeps tae on their roster and tae becomes very rich. he continues trying to slander jimin but he eventually stops when hoseok forces him to stop (out of guilt? bribery? revenge? who knows lol)

umm back to jimin and y/n... yeah they get together blah blah y/n confesses first, jimin gets hurt a lot, y/n is bad at relationships (shes got bad interpersonal skills), they have a large argument where y/n accidentally dehumanizes jimin (ouch)... so many things. all that matters is that they do end up together... maybe not so happily, but they'll get there. i think.

SO YEAH THAT WAS SO MESSY idk how coherent this was... again like i said, i kinda write smaus on the go so a lot of these things arent necessarily canon. i only consider things canon when stuff gets posted, but again like u said thats probs never happening LOL but in the meantime, if u have more questions about any of the points listed above, lemme know!! i'll try my best to explain further (sobs i am so rusty at writing u dont even know) anyway blessings be upon ye!!

Thats it imma take all the tgm asian characters and adopt them

some headcanons for my kids (+ I’m basically just channeling my own family/friends/myself onto them <3)

They all have ethnic names period even if theyre not listed in the movie, they have them. (most of the time growing up asian american you will 100% have a name given to u by ur parents/family member/close family friend/grandparents, the only bad that comes out of that is only members of ur family use the name and are the only ones who can pronounce it most of the time and when it comes to papers u sign, u dont rlly include ur asian name bc its like a middle name and isint always necessarily which is p shit, we are given such American first names because they’re easy to pronounce when coming over :/)

Yale has a tradition of inviting flying friends over to his place for New Years for a Korean celebration and makes a seaweed soup thats always eaten for the new year! (something my own family does)

Yale taught Harvard Korean and always has Harvard tag along on Korean trips to visit family! They love Harvard and Harvard loves the food lolol!!! and them ofc!!!

Halo met Fritz first and they stuck together like glue being two of the few asians, when they met Yale they made their own little friend group (i think other pocs can relate, when being in a place where there are ppl who make u feel alienated, finding people who are the same as u is comfortable and its easier to relate to each other, at least in my experience)

Fritz has a small lil “asian glow” when drunk LOL meanwhile Yale is head to toe bright red 💀

Yale bought Halo (and later on Phoenix!!) a hanbok as a birthday present (she would look so pretty in one omg, a hanbok is a traditional korean clothing, they are rlly pretty, its like a flowy dress)

Halo incorporates Mandarin in her english

Yale has no siblings so he basically adopted Halo and Fritz to be like his family, he act like a big ol older brother to them, a lot of his own family is in S. Korea

When Fritz’s grandparents immigrated over, the ones taking down peoples names wrote his last name incorrectly as Avalone (this is a true story from my family, my last name is incorrectly spelled and hence its pronounced incorrectly as well honestly this hc can also go with Halo)

Fritz is the youngest of the three, Yale is the oldest

They all taught each other swear words in their language AHAH

Fritz has a younger sister who got him into kpop (lol my own sister) and he has a lot of photocards, Halo teases him about it even tho she herself is into a lot of jpop and cpop groups

Yale always picks up a kpop album for Fritz and his sister on his Korea trips! 💚

When Yale gets angry he rants in Korean (when someone talks super fast in korean its so entertaining, like speak ur truth bro hell yeah but also dont yell at me or ill cry MCNDJD)

Yale’s guilty pleasure is watching Chinese dramas, he and Halo’s mom get together and break down the latest episodes of their shows they bringe whenever he’s in town HAHA (i think Yale would be a hit with Fritz and Halo’s parents)

Fritz is re-learning some of his Mandarin from Halo since as a kid his parents didn’t enforce their languages onto him but he does know more Filipino!! (me shaking my fist at my own parents, i couldve been a fluent bilingual lol)

Sometimes on comms Yale and Harvard will switch to Korean and annoy their flying partner for fun AHAHA

— Fan since: I don't know exactly how long it's been, but I was around the age of 14 when I first got into Korean music, and everything else just snowballed from there. xD First concert: BTS (2018) — Yes, been a fan of the music for nearly 2 decades, but I was late to the game with attending concerts. I just had no one to go with, and only one other fan who liked KPop so I never even considered bringing up going to one to my parents. I wish I had though, because there are a lot of groups that I probably/definitely won't get to see now. (With that said, groups barely come to Canada *now* so I highly doubt I would've had much luck with groups I liked coming back in the early 2000s.) First bias: I'm not 100% sure —because again, it was so long ago— but my guess is either BoA or GD (from Big Bang). If not either of those two, Miyavi. (He's a guitarist from Japan.) Song that got you hooked: Again, been so long, so... I don't know if this is for sure the song that got me, but I do remember watching it A TON when it first came out. I had been listening to Kpop before this point, but I feel like this was what really got me into looking into what other groups might be out there (and I wouldn't be surprised if this was around the time I got into liking 2NE1, too.) Specifically at the 24s point I remember watching over and over and over. (Big crush on BoA back in the day, I gotta say. xD)

Favourite music genre: I listen to literally everything, with the exception of country and classical. I just never really got into it (with the exception of Shania Twain when I was younger, because that was literally the only other type of music in the house apart from gospel, so it was kind of a 'which do I not like the least of these two' situation. haha. Because I'm so all over the map with my music tastes, it was very easy to get into liking music in other languages as well. I'm grateful to Youtube coming along and bringing it all to my attention. (Yes, I'm older than Youtube. What an old fart, eh? xD)

Latest concert attended: Eric Nam, about a week(ish) ago. It was my second time seeing him. Prior to that I attended a concert from Kingdom, and next up I'm going to be seeing D&E. (Majorly Donghae biased gal right there. I'm so excited, even though I don't have great seats.)

Girl groups or guy groups?: Well, I like both, but I certainly stan more of the guy groups. (If I had any friends interested in seeing the girl groups I like —*ahem* Mamamoo... *cough* Hwasa *ahem*— and if any of them would come to my country then I would be SO THERE, but I fear even if they did come I would have to go alone, and being the anxious, socially dysfunctional person that I am... I would not enjoy that experience (no matter how incredible the concert was.)

That's all I can think of at the moment, but as the database gets built up and other people start putting up their profiles, perhaps I can get more ideas of what questions to answer and I'll update my 'bio' more.

Ah don't apologize for the long answer it's great!! I'm very much the same way with my music taste haha, a big BIG way I stim is listening to music/audio of all kinds so I listen to a... Mildly worrying amount of it 😅

Unreal Unearth has been out for what, 6 days? and it is already one of my favorite albums ever and certainly my favorite Hozier album, I'm just an absolute sucker for instrumentals and strings and lyrics aaaa (so curious what your favorite song is, mine is Icarian!! (It's about the stringsss) but All Things End and De Selby pt. 1 are very very close behind)

My music taste shifts dramatically between kpop to indie to instrumentals to choral music to electronica and then somehow also dubstep occasionally 😅 I once showed my sister my "shuffle" playlist (which is just a bunch of my favorite songs all together in one playlist to shuffle when I don't know what to listen to) and she was Baffled lmaoo

Also I am positively geeked that you like Hozier maneskin AND ballet instrumentals aaa (I very very very much recommend all the pieces from Manon, but particularly the one that plays during the Bedroom Pas De Deux, it's GORGEOUS and so is the dance!! I'm also just a ballet nerd djsgan I'm rambling haha)

As for against the kitchen floor.... WOW you were Not kidding that is Astarion to a 'T'!!! Especially "I swear, I'm really trying, It just don't come natural to me to think that you'd want me for me" oww... Owch... Yeah I'm gonna go be soft for astarion again I love him so much😭

uhh favourite Hozier song off the new album I can't say because I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but favourite Hozier songs in general: Angel of Small Death, Eat Your Young, In The Woods Somewhere (if you've ever seen a karaoke stream of mine, In The Woods Somewhere I have sang a lot, that and Angel of Small Death are my number one gender euphoria songs to sing because it feels nice that I can sing them in their original key).

and ooooo i've yet to watch manon, i've still got a lot of ballets i wanna get through some day. but i think no matter what swan lake will always remain the favourite purple because as well as it being beautiful i've got a lot of nostalgia from it (thank you barbie) and i've watched matthew bourne's swan lake who knows how many times since i discovered it about 10 years ago.

i agree that's super interesting! That disconnect between our own self-perception and how others perceive us has always weirded me out haha. And you're so sweet! I imagine you must be a really fun person to hang out with if you're anything like Lee Know. One of my best friends reminds me of Lee Know - she insists she is more like Changbin but I really can't see it lol.

Mingi, Woo, and Jongho are all great - you're right, it really is hard to pick just one. What about the concert in 2022 drew you to Mingi? I live in a place that isn't exactly a popular tour stop so I've never been to a kpop concert and I don't usually follow the concerts online unless I hear something spectacular haha.

Yeah, I love what I've seen of TXT but I got into them for the music and haven't taken much time to get to know the members. Kai actually reminds me of my little brother quite a lot so it makes me happy that you like Kai even if you're OT5 like me!

Every now and again i'll go on a mission to get into another group but usually it doesn't work - I have to just kind of fall into it naturally. P1harmony was one so I know some of their moments and most of the member's names but not very well - I need to actually get into them! Shinee was another one where I mostly just listen to the music. I do love what I've seen of the members though! i like Onew and Jonghyun (rip)

I don't really know what it was with Mingi. It was just that I saw him on the screen and he was so breathtaking. While performing he was being so professional and teasing but ad soon as they spoke he is the softest bean.

Hello, if I remember correctly, before you said that in your opinion a famous non-famous relationship was better than a famous famous one, may I ask, what is the reason? It's just me wandering into existential questions, but, I think both are good depending on both parties, in case the non-famous person can't stand being followed and taking photos very much, I think it won't work, instead a famous person will already be used to it, but if the non-famous person has a "I don't care" mentality then it will be more stable

so what i meant by famous x non-famous is for the mere fact that the non-famous person doesn't have an unpredictable hectic (as in flying to paris for a fashion show lol) schedule. that's pretty much it. more than likely, the non-famous person will have a job where they work specific hours and unless going out with friends/grocery shopping/shopping they'll be home by a specific time. you know what i mean? a famous person may have to really work around their busy schedule just to find time for themselves and do things they want to do let alone a relationship. what you said is 100% true. people will need to get their pics taken from time to time. however, i don't remember seeing "a lot" of kpop celeb dating pictures. we see the pictures of the "suspected" relationship which has people buzzing but actual date night/on a date pictures i rarely see them. then again, i'm not looking nor do i care about that stuff lol for instance, i've never seen changmin (tvxq), bobby (ikon), and chen (exo)'s wives. there is also a guy that was in a jpop group and was with a woman for 8 years. i didn't even know he was dating someone lol also, hyde the guy yuta (nct) is seen with -- i've never seen his kid(s) picture at all. there is a way to keep things on the down low but that comes from respect of the partner (not causing any drama) but also the fans and/or paparazzi respecting people's personal space. again, i'm not looking nor do i care what they look like. i feel i hear and see way more about western celebs and who they're dating (which i REALLY don't care about haha i'm talking about you ariana and the guy who played spongebob in the spongebob musical! why i know about this "suspected" relationship is beyond me but i do lol) but yeah, the schedules is what i was talking about the most. it sucks either way but i would compare dating a celeb to being with a doctor/surgeon/emt/police officer/police detective and maybe a firefighter ^^ they all have schedules where things change at the last second and the person needs to be able to handle things like that. not everyone can and that's something to think about and consider like you, i don't think one is "truly" better than the other. in my head the relationships that can be more "sustainable" may be famous x non-famous that's all ^^ sorry if i made it seem like famous x famous wasn't as good. we've seen it work all the time (though i have noticed from the USA side that it's celebs from back in the day haha younger ones seem to have a little more trouble finding the right people) i love taylor swift but every time she get's a new boyfriend i'm like "is he going to be a new song too?" lmao

Prologue

Chapter 1

Hyunjin got back to the dorm after long hours of practicing. He grabbed a bottle of water and sat down on the sofa. Next to him, Bang Chan was excitedly texting someone.

Hyunjin smirked a bit and asked, "Hyung why are you looking at your phone like you're in love?"

Bang chan looked at hyunjin with shocked eyes and said "no no noo it's not like that. It's just I got in touch with an old friend after a long time. We sort of lost contact when I moved to Korea which was maaaany years ago so.."

"Ohhh wow that's nice. What's he like?" Hyunjin continued the conversation

"Well SHE's still just the same as before. She was always pretty sweet and kind. I'm glad we're talking again."

"So it is a girl. Hmm....waaait, did you tell her that you're a kpop idol? or does she already know?" Hyunjin got curious.

"Nope. Not a single clue. We were friends when we were 10 year olds and she only knew my Christian name, Chris. So I doubt it." Chan smiled to himself

Hyunjin chucked a bit and replied "She's gonnabe so shocked. I wonder how she'll react. What's her name?"

"Y/N"

"That doesn't sound Korean or Christian." Hyunjin stated. "Yeah I know. She's from India. But her parents moved to Australia. I used to have a lot of Indian friends in Australia. I feel so nostalgic now that I'm talking to her after a looong time."

"Oh wow hyung, you have friends from all over the world. I wish I was like you." Hyunjin smiled.

"You want to see her pic?"

"Yeah sure."

They waited for y/n's selfie to upload.

After 5 minutes, bang chan rolled his eyes and said "The wi-fi is always so slow. I guess I'll have to show once the pic loads.." Chan sighed.

"Ahh it's okay don't worry. I can see the pic later. I'm sure she's pretty. Happy for you" Hyunjin replied in a teasing manner. Before Chan could reply, Hyunjin went off into his room with his bottle of water.

"I don't even know how she looks. Come on Hyunjin." Chan whined to himself but was still curious about how you've been and what you've been up to.

A new message popped up

Y/N: Am I so ugly that you won't even respond to my messages anymore? T^T

Chan: NOOOOO! it's the damn Wi-Fi. Your pic won't load. Wait...for the time being I'll send you my selfie and you can reply.

Y/N: will your WiFi let you send pics if the connection is so poor?

Chan sent the pic and the downloading circle kept on revolving.

Chan: I guess not :( we'll see each later I suppose.

Y/N: hmm okay. anyways how have u been? what's it like in Korea?

Chan thought for a minute before replying

Chan: pretty good! I'm pursuing higher studies. I live in a dorm. Other than that, I've been working on making my music. What about you?

Y/N: that sounds so exciting! I hope your dreams come true one day.

Chan chuckled at the message and thought little does she know.

Y/N: I'm also pursing my higher studies but all the classes are online so I'm at home haha. I'm actually coming to Korea for vacation soon. I thought if I'm going to Korea I could at least find the one friend who I knew also went there.

Chan: I'm really glad you did. It's so lovely to talk to you again. I hope you come to Korea soon so we can meet.

Y/N: same bro. I'll let you know the dates soon. Oh well g2g. TTYS?

Chan: Sure take care bye!

Chan switched off his phone and thought that he'll probably have to tell his members to pretend to be students for a while. He knows y/n will know the truth soon but it could be shocking to give y/n such a huge news abruptly.

Changbin came out of his room and in his most aegyo and high pitched voice said: Channiiiee hyung~ let's cuddle nowww pleaseeeee"

With a gleam in his eyes, Chan suddenly got up replied in a similar voice "Changbinniieeee~ I'll hold youuuu."

And they went off in his room to cuddle. Despite being older than the '00 liners, these 2 were way more playful and loved to act silly. Hyunjin heard their voices and rolled his eyes. 2 peas in a pod Hyunjin thought and smirked. Hyunjin's phone rang and he picked up. "Felix what's up?"

"Changbin again left me on read. Not that it bothers me though. Anyways what's up?"

"He's having a cuddle session with chan right now so I doubt he's gonna check his phone" Hyunjin said with a laugh.

"Ahhh I remember we used to do that too when we were roommates" felix said while looking at his changbin plushie and slightly pouting.

Hyunjin started laughing "you sound upset?? What is this? A love triangle? Want me to go tell Chan hyung to back off?"

"Hey hey hey it's not like that okay?" Felix replied in defence. Hyunjin was still laughing and replied "Sure sure, also you don't have to worry about Chan taking changbin hyung any-" Hyunjin stopped mid sentence. He didn't know if he should talk about y/n to Felix without Chan's permission.

"Huuuh? And why is that?" Felix asked playfully.

Hyunjin took a minute and replied

"Because he's mr steal your girl, not steal your boy."

And they both started laughing. After a few moments, felix replied "ok well the reason I was calling was because I wanted to come by and work on our unit song. Is that okay?

Hyunjin replied that it's okay and he can come anytime. Felix packed some food and left his dorm.

I’d definitely like to write more. Finish a few of these WIPs hanging around.

Most Popular Story Of The Year?

It’s not right to pit these two fics against each other, they are for very different fandoms, and I literally published the one on December 27th, so…

But I do like to compare the stats for AO3 and FF.net: Call You Mine had 6 reviews/29 favs on FF.net, and 6 comments/34 kudos/9 bookmarks on AO3. That’s a big deal, in the past years Ghost Hunt fics would get much more interaction on FF.net, now AO3 is breaking even.

Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion:

I appreciate every comment, kudo, and fav. I know I say this every year, but it’s true. I write for relatively small fandoms and whenever a reader takes the time to say hi, my heart glows.

Most Fun Story To Write:

Call You Mine. I went into it with the desire to make something incredibly fluffy as a birthday gift and I think I succeeded.

I did a similar game to this a long time ago! It’ll be interesting to see if my opening style has changed any.

These are all fanfictions that can be found on my AO3. They were written from 2021 to 2017 are listed starting with the newest.

Some observations I found:

16 of the 20 are under 15 words long.

1 out of the 20 is in first person (but 3 of them could be, if just from the opening line.)

17 of the 20 introduce a character by name.

3 of the 20 open with dialogue.

My favorite? Probably from Rebel Just for Kicks.

I think I made like one post about Nanowrimo this month, but just wanted to say whoa! I hit 50k words! I had no idea what to expect going in when I had decided to start barely two weeks before November.

I definitely challenged my perfectionism when it comes to writing first drafts and just getting the words down, and that was my goal.

I’m ready to leave these characters alone for a bit and go dust off a few fanfictions starting in December, ha!

help??? one of my classmates really said that jungkook was scary and he had all these tattoos and looked really scary and creepy. like i know it was just to piss me off (me being the only kpop stan in my class), but i just played along and tried to tell them that they aren’t THAT scary all the time. what are the top 5 most used apps on your phone?

i use twitch a lot. i like to listen to streams while i fall asleep. they help calm me down and get in the sleep-mindset...if that’s a thing. same with youtube. i also use that a lot when learning new choreographies. that slow down feature always comes in clutch when the choreography is super complex. after that...i guess messenger? gotta keep up with my friends and family somehow, that’s about the best thing to do. discord i use as well when i’m gaming with friends. i’ve found it works best for that kind of chatting. i don’t do much mobile gaming—i’m more of a pc gamer—but i’ve been obsessed with magikarp jump. i train my lil dudes all the time.

this is gonna sound lame but i called my grandma last. we chatted about the show and the concert for a bit...no spoilers of course, i would never. even though she did try to pry them out of me. i swear she’s as into this kpop stuff as i am. she’s been my biggest fan since day one. though she says that she thinks that she might vote for one of my buddies instead of me if i don’t act nicer on camera. rude, right? won’t even vote for her own grandson haha. just kidding, we tease a lot in my family. i love her though. definitely wouldn’t be here without her.

let me look through my spotify, my most recent is, of course: britney spears! hmm...which one have i been listening to recently? oh toxic has definitely been on repeat. i really want to do a dance cover to that song. watching her on stage was part of why i even started dancing, she’s a big inspiration so her entire discography is always on shuffle.

woud break up with your girlfriend by ariana grande be considered a throwback now? man, i’m getting old. this album is one of my all time favorites, so i’m always going back to it.

ah yes! rock with you by vna has been on repeat since i was assigned it. honestly i haven’t paid much attention to the newer gen of idols, so while i had heard the song around i hadn’t given it much care. but then i had to practice it over and over, and now i’m a fan! i think it’s also there a lot of good memories practicing with my best friends to this song, so it has good vibes. plus it’s like actually a banger.

stay up by baekhyun is one i’ll get stuck in my head suddenly out of nowhere and just have to listen to, ya know?

oh yeah! i listened to advice by kang jaehyuck this morning. the chorus always gets me super hyped up. there has to be footage of me somewhere dancing to it cause i’ll literally addicted to the 더 참신하게 상상력 좀 발휘해 봐...i'll shoot the one advice part.

Umm I hope this isn't an intrusive or weird question. You can obviously ignore this if you're not comfortable or any reason really. So I recently saw in one of your posts that you're married. I didn't know that as I'm a new follower. Uh so what I wanted to ask was isn't it weird for your husband that you're writing fanfics about other men? Assuming he knows. I'm just asking this because my cousin sister who recently got married to a total a-hole (excuse my language) used to write fanfics about another group 'stray kids' too. She's 21 currently so she didn't write about people younger than her (clarifying cause skz members are kinda young just in case) and her husband found her tumblr account and was furious like breaking her phone furious. Saying shit like you don't love me (like she can it's an 3 months old arranged marriage she only agreed to cause of her parents) you love these "queer men who wear makeup" "what kind of name is bangchan or changbin hAhA" just a bunch of really homophobic, racist things. And yeah it was a whole fiasco. Sorry if you don't like knowing about strangers' personal lives like this, totally understandable. I was just curious bc of this situation. Not that I think it's wrong to write ffs if you're married/in a relationship, ofc not. Again sorry if this comes off as rude or anything, that wasn't my intention at all. I'm not a native speaker so maybe there are some mistakes or wrong tones used by me, I apologise for that. Ps: love your writing, have a nice day/night x.

there's a lot to unpack here so I'll start with your question. it's not weird for my husband that i write fanfic about other men (i did ask him rn and he said the quantity is outstanding lmao but we all know i can't shut up). he knew i was a writer long before i met him and when we finally got together, i wasn't writing at the time (i lost interest). and then when i did start writing in 2018, he and i were still together but i wasn't living with him anymore (i moved back home to take care of my siblings and dad after my mom passed) so he wasn't around when i was writing but he knew I was doing so. he still knows I write, he hasn't read any of it but he has helped me here and there with editing a little just because sometimes idk if what I've written makes sense. and just this morning we were at work and i had him watch the register so i could jot some notes down for a fic. he's used to that. i think if anything would "annoy" him about bts or kpop in general is sometimes I do go overboard in thirsting over these men but that's in a "omg look at him doing xyz" obnoxiously which i do tend to do sometimes and i am working on it. but again we were also in an open relationship until we got married a year ago. (i have a post about that somewhere).

that being said, what happened to your cousin (sister?) isn't right. I know not everyone's partner is okay with them writing fanfic but that's no excuse to break her belongings. A talk could have been had to discuss the situation. Being homophobic and racist is also not okay even if he was jealous which I assume he is but I don't know him or her so I don't know the root of his anger (and you mentioned he said "you don't love me" when he found out so he may be jealous especially if the relationship is still so new but again, this is going off what was stated up above). However, I do hope she's okay and that they can discuss it. Sometimes writing isn't even about who we're writing about, it's more of an outlet. I know I daydream a lot to forget other stressors and writing stories helps. it just so happens I write for bts as the leads if that makes sense?
