Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons.

So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. I also did this with the previous title, Legends: Arceus.

I have to reiterate the same points every time, but it’s just so we’re all aware -

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Every major character in both games is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s main storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.

The only character I did not include in this is Jacq. He already has an official VA thanks to the Pokemon Go Gimmighoul Trailer. I don’t know who it is though because they go uncredited.

Revue Starlight Sports Festival Draft!

As you know, the big Stage Girl Sports Festival Revival will take place in February - literally just a full day event of the various cast members of Revue Starlight (from anime, game, and stage plays) will participate in a funky pretend-highschool sports festival. Today the full teams were decided via draft stream!

The team leaders had previously been announced:

Koyama Momoyo (Aijo Karen, Seisho) - Yellow Team "ZERO" Tomita Maho (Tendo Maya, Seisho) - Blue Team "This is..." Nomoto Hotaru (Yukishiro Akira, Siegfeld) - Red Team "HOT" Nanaki Kanon (Yanagi Koharu, Seiran) - Green Team "shuThuarunomi" (集中あるのみ; "sTay focused")

Also quite funny to me that 3 of the team leaders (all but Maho) are former Sera Myu performers... the Sailor Moon squad has taken over

As is tradition at this point, ensemble member Jinko Moe is the MC for this stream and explains the rules. In the first two rounds, all leaders are free to pick 1 stage girl of their chosing per round from the roster as their top picks. If any chose the same person, they will have to decide by draft - the loser can then choose freely again. After round 2, all other rounds are chosen by draft completely by luck. We already knew not all cast members are going to be there so not every stage girl is available for chosing. Suzuko Mimori (Hikari), Emiri Kato (Tsukasa) and Shiina Hekiru (Souda-sensei) are going to be the MCs at the event, so they won't be participating as athletes either. Also, Tsukui Minami (Suzu) and Kobayashi Yuka (Yakumo-sensei) are a "2 for 1" deal, as they won't be able to make the whole event (iirc).

Team Zero's name is the most easily explained. Moyo gets a lot of praise from her colleagues and chat for her genius team logo design. The E is a crown with tomato jewels... I'm in awe

Maho explains the pronunciation of her team: The "..." is performed dramatically with the eyes, like the above. Lol

Nossan's design of course features Hot-kun, Akira's favourite food & beloved plushie. The Hot-kun icon is actually the inside of a chili, not a sun. Apparently.

Kanon struggled quite a bit with finding a team name, and after consulting with the other leaders in their Line chat group, she wanted a good Koharu line as the team name. Koharu's "うるさい." ("Shut up.") came to mind, but she thought that was too rude for a team name, so shuchuarunomi it became. She placed a big T (position zero!) for the "ch" sound. Complicated, but clever.

Time for drawing the teams! In round 1, everyone is asked to present their top picks for their team.

Moyo's is: MATSUZAWA! Aka Matsuzawa Kanon, who plays Shiro from Siegfeld Middle School!

Maho's is the one and only Sato Hinata - student council president of Seisho herself, Hoshimi Junna.

Nossan's top pick is: Ikuta Teru of Futaba fame!! And funnily enough...

Kanon's pick is also Teru!!! She even drew a tiny Ponzu (Teru's dog) to sway the public. The crowd goes wild. They have to let fate decide who wins over Teru for their team, and Nossan comes out on top. So Kanon gets to choose again, and her next free pick is Haruchan! Aka her fellow Photon Maiden bestie, Iwata Haruki of Mahiru fame.

Time for round 2, and last round of free picks! Again, Moyo goes first.

Moyo's second pick is Saeki Iori, who plays Rinmeikan's Yuyuko!

Maho's second pick is Sasaki Mikoi aka Mikoron, Shizuha of Frontier!

Nossan's next pick is Koizumi Moeka aka Moepii, who plays the one and only Banana! Complaints from the other leaders are heard for her making her team too strong. Lol. We'll see about that.

Kanon's pick is Kuge Kokoro of the Siegfeld Middle Schoolers, who plays Minku! No overlaps this time, so everyone gets their first pick!

The next picks are all made by random draft, so it's really just up to luck. Kanon is praying to get at least one other Seiran member for her heart. Everyone is praying not to get Aiai (lmao). Kanon manages to draw Tsumutsumu, another Photon Maiden member, making it a 3/4 for her team (with the fourth PM member, Hinata, sitting in Maho's team). For Nossan, she manages to draw two people very close to her - Ozaki Yuka (Michiru) and Kadoyama Yoko (Hisame), two of Akira's girlfriends. Moyo gets both of the Yumeoji siblings. Maho gets to draw her bestie's wife, KDHR. Kanon's wish is fulfilled by drawing the 2for1 duo of Minami&Kobayashi, her fellow Seirans. The crowd goes wild when Nossan draws Aiai, her team being declared the noisiest for sure (they're not wrong, this will be utter chaos).

Final distribution:

Today I have the 02 kids!

Reiko Kiuchi voices both Daisuke Motomiya in the 02 series and Dark Cure Aqua from the Precure 5 gogo movie. What's amusing is that Daisuke is the only bad guy here. lol Further more, Daisuke is pretty much evil Mimi lol. Fun tidbit, V-mon's seiyuu Noda Junko voices a fairy named Harihari Hamu in Hugtto Precure.

For Miyako she actually doesn't share a voice in any magical girl series that would be instantly recognizable. She is the only one too! Her english actor in Kizuna will voice Lana Lang in My Adventures with Superman, but we don'tknow if she'll become superwoman or not. Or if she'll get a magical sequence like Clark did. So I racked my brain which Sailor Scout, Mew Mew, or Precure would fit her best. I was thinking Sailor Venus until Ageha/Cure Butterfly was introduced. She's passionate, outgoing, goofy, but can be really motherly. That reminded me of Miyako. So that's why she's Cure Butterly. (And hey! Adventure, butterflies. It all fits!)

Romi Park voices both Ken Ichijouji in the 02 series and Syrup/ Shiro Amai in Precure 5 gogo! (Yes, we have a lot of Digimon seiyuu in this series. lol I think Milk, Nuts, and Urara are the only ones without a Digimono connection now.)

Iori from the Digimon 02 dub and Lance from the Dokidoki Precure dub are voiced by Bryce Papenbrook. Bryce also voices Cat Noir in Miraculous Ladybug, I already drew Ladybug(Cristina Vee/Meiko) and Cody together. They're saving Paris together!

Hikari from the OG Adventure and Sailor Chibi Moon from the OG Sailor Moon are both voiced by Araki Kae. Hikari is the OG Magical Girl here! Hikari in the tri./Kizuna dub and Sharuru/Kippie from the DokiDoki Precure dub are voiced by Tara Sands. Another dub fairy in Digimon. Haha.

Last but not least is Takeru! Takeru in the Adventure reboot and Cure Princess from Happiness Charge Precure are both voiced by Megumi Han. Takeru even gets a goofy lil' hat in his Magical Girl edition to add to the many goofy hats he has. Congrats teeks!

Time to talk about things I'm excited about again

New Fate/Samurai Remnant trailer! it's only in Japanese for now, and it was quickly privated from the original uploader

HOWEVER, there's still a lot of cool things to look at here.

First of all, i'll be honest, I saw this originally thanks to a twitter user that archived it and looked at the various stuff you can get with it, so a lot of my "official" info that isn't visually made clear in the trailer will be regurgitated from what they've said. here's the thread and another video (just in case this one gets taken down)

Okay, so time for a deep dive under the cut:

first off

Musashi (which that IS Musashi and this is not a Scathatch=Skadi or similar situation) is apparently a Berserker

The MC is most likely Iori- there's a few reasons why this is significant, both in terms of actual history (which plays a role for Fate, obviously) and Fate lore in general

A. Historical relevancy: Iori is one of the children that IRL Miyamoto Musashi bought/adopted from his original parents, and taught them his signature sword style.

B. Lore relevancy: The Musashi we're familiar with in Fate is from another world where she's female- at least in terms of Fate/Grand Order lore. Musashi sort of gets rejected by reality/gets tossed in and out of alternate dimensions here and there, and other than official story canon, she does play a fun and significant role in Summer 4. Here she appears in the Summer Singularity of Las Vegas as a Berserker and also keeps trying (and failing) to convince the group she is actually Iori. It's a fun story but hard to argue as canon due to the nature of event singularities and especially summer ones

3. I'm very sure you can tell if you look closely, but the black haired servant with the white shirt is definitely a Saber face- I think this one actually has Artoria's VA. I posted previously after the last trailer, but they have Artoria's hairstyle and the little ahoge that's pretty much signature to Saber Faces (sans Alters). To me they seem of Chinese origin judging by dress and swords, and it also seems like they have some water ability? Which is strange but cool. If anyone's smart enough to try and figure that one out, go for it. I'd personally look through old Chinese folktales or rulers that have some association to water, or maybe was a man suspected of being a woman/vice versa (which is why Artoria is a woman instead of a man). Maybe a swordsman that traveled or migrated to Japan, too.

4. This is DEFINITELY a Holy Grail War, it's the only way someone like Jalter could show up like this- However the fact that she's even here to begin with must mean there's something wonky going on, since her existence in FGO is pretty much only because of Chaldea's interference. It could also just be a separate instance of fuckery going on, especially considering we have ANOTHER Avenger class here- Angry Mango himself (i can't remember how to spell the name). Maybe another tainted grail?

5. Speaking of Angra, he looks different- like he's not using Shiro as a base body anymore. He has face stubble- Kiritsugu, maybe? It wouldn't be the first time Kiritsugu and Shiro have had similar Servant counterparts. It could also be another of Musashi's kids imo.

6. Speaking of Shiro, or more specifically Fate/Stay Night

This place looks familiar, almost like the shrine where Saber and Assassin fought each other in FSN, aka the shrine Caster was holding out in. Now this might be a stretch, but what if this is Fuyuki from the past? If this is Iori's time, this would be around the 1600s, roughly 400 years prior to Stay Night. The fact that the new Saber Face is also here seems rather significant imo

7. The extra Servants look cool- I'm betting the big guy with the green is maybe another Hercules form or possibly Samson, which would be a first for Fate I think. He does have long hair, anyway.

8. The music used is similar to the Shimousa fighting music from FGO's Shimousa arc

Anyway, the early September release date for Japan is pretty awesome. I doubt it'll release that early for us, and in fact that may be why they retracted the video? unclear. Personally i hope it comes out later so i can actually save and buy it instead of passing it up for a wedding lol

I can't wait for it, it looks fun

Shiro: But, why?

Minami: Sounds like you have an ulterior motive

Shiro: It’s okay, you can trust me. Making yours and your fan’s wishes come true is my job, after all

Haruka: He said it

Torao: He really said it

Minami: He said it for real, didn’t he?

Touma: Utsugi san, what do you mean by…

Shiro: Well, obviously my job consists in maximizing the charm of a cool, amazing unit called Zool

Haruka*thinking*: This guy praises us quite a lot!

Torao*thinking*: Mpf, doesn’t sound bad

Minami*thinking*: There’s definitely an ulterior motive behind that…

Touma: A cool, amazing unit…Utsugi san, what’s this project about?

Shiro: It’s a sequel for the project “Welcome to the kids room”. The spectators have enjoyed it a lot

Touma: Ah, that special program!

Torao: I was asked to talk about it even by staff from a different channel. Especially regarding the pic from when I was a child

Haruka: Apparently, both us and the other guys had a time when we would take things for granted

Haruka: Mh? But I don’t remember our cool and amazing charm coming out during that program

Minami: I’d dare say that such a program was trying to sell a warm and cute image of us

Shiro: This time, while preserving the best of that program, they’ll go further in order to discover the roots behind your current self

Shiro: Basically, you’ll have the chance to talk about the origin of the cool and amazing group called Zool

Touma: I s-see…

Torao: Sounds weird…. I’m not sure about that

Minami: Why do you think that the origin of the cool and amazing group called Zool would be cool and amazing as well?

Haruka: Yeah, you’re right! How scary, I was about to be fooled!

Shiro: It’s alright. The reason is that the four of you must have been cool and amazing since the very day you were born

Haruka: Wooh, that’s a super convenient thing to say!

Shiro: It’s not convenient. I really thought it was a good way to show your charm

Shiro: In addition, your past keeps on existing in your current selves as well. Fans want to know you better, and you have the chance to make their dream come true

Shiro: I promise you that everything will be fine, so why don’t you give this project a chance?

Haruka: Uuh…

Touma: Why not?? Utsugi san even bothered to insist this much! I’m not sure whether it’ll be good in the end, but let’s give it a try!

Haruka: I was thinking about eating something else, but then I smelled the flavor and I suddenly entered a curry mood

Haruka: Minami, are you really going to eat all that…

Momo: Ah! Haruka e Minami! Yo-oooh! Do you mind if I sit next to you?

Haruka: A-ah,...! Hello…yes, no problem…ah, there’s Izumi as well

Iori: Hello. I met Momo san a moment ago

Minami: Hello, Momo san and Izumi san. Are you also about to eat your lunch?

Momo: Well, I was actually thinking about having a cup of tea and I’ve just picked up a certain high school boy!

Iori: I was pretty shocked when I turned toward the one who was tapping my shoulder, and I found myself with a finger on my cheek

Minami: Oh dear, what a classic way to pick up somebody

Haruka: Eh? So, this was a common way of picking up in the past…? I don’t like it…

Iori: No, I don’t think it was common in the past or nowadays

Momo: Minami, you’re in no way inferior to a high school boy when it comes to eating a lot! Ramen, fried rice, dumplings, beef bowls…It looks good!

Minami: Fufu, I’m just a bit hungry

Iori: Where could you possibly put all this food? You’re so thin, Natsume san

Momo: Yeah! I saw you changing your clothes in a scene from a drama and I thought “what an athletic build, that’s amazing!”

Haruka: Fufu. Minami is cool, isn’t he? Isn’t he amazing??

Momo&Iori: He is

Minami: Thank you very much. I didn’t expect to be praised so much just because I eat a lot. And you’re also watching my drama, right?

Momo: Yes! Ah, but I talked too much, your food must be cold now! I’m sorry I bothered you by sitting here, feel free to eat!

Haruka&Minami: Thank you

Iori: I also checked out your drama. You had a very difficult role, smiling so nicely even though you resented the main character

Minami: Resentment, yes… the jealousy toward his excellence was the driving force behind that role

Minami: I envied him and my hate started growing more and more, because he received the favor of the senior doctor I admired so much

Haruka: f’yu huach fe laf…

Minami: Isumi san, you should not speak with your mouth full

Haruka: …gulp. Did you watch the last episode?! The one where Minami betrays the main character!

Iori: I did. Nikaido san said he got goosebumps

Haruka: For real?! He really said that?! You are number one, Minami!!

Minami: Yes. I was pretty surprised to be so happy when Nikaido san told me that

Momo: When your voice became cold all of a sudden and you said: “Did you really think I was your friend?”

Momo: I get chills just thinking about it!

Iori: Nikaido san said that you were more determined than usual. Did something happen?

Minami:.....yes. The director is somebody I've known very well since I was a child actor, so it was probably easier for me to work with him

Minami: I have no difficulties in understanding what he says and what kind of performance he’s looking for

Iori: I understand

Haruka: I know what you’re talking about. I directly experienced that with a choreographer I used to know. I mean, it was easy to understand what kind of movement he was asking for

Minami: However…Isumi san, you’re skillful at work, but when it comes to personal relationships and people not directly connected to work, you’re quiet as a lamb behind my back

Haruka:...uuh…that’s because I don’t know what to talk about except for work…

Iori: I understand your feelings. When it comes to conversations, I end up thinking I’m the odd one, having people like Yotsuba san and Nanase san close to me

Iori: So it’s pretty difficult for me to speak about something that doesn’t involve work

Momo: Ahah! I see! It’s hard to start talking freely to somebody just by gauging their feelings, right, Haruka?

Haruka: Y-yes…

Momo: Oh, my gosh! Have I just gauged your feelings?!

Haruka: No, it’s just that…I’m still a little worried…

Iori: Is that your lamb mood, Isumi san?

Minami: Fufu. Isn’t he adorable?

Haruka: We weren’t talking about me, anyway! The main topic was Minami! So, you met the director when you were a child actor?

Minami: The first time we worked together was for “Kagurazaka”

Minami: Since I received my first prize on that occasion, I remember it pretty well

Iori: “Kagurazaka” was a movie based on the life of a great writer, right?

Iori: I’ve heard that you were the youngest person to win the Best Supporting Actor award

Minami: Yes. I think that movie represents my roots in terms of performance

Momo: Your roots in terms of performance…The first time I saw a movie you were starring in, I thought you didn’t lose to the actors around you. You seemed like a child hiding something burning inside him

Minami: Oh my, who knows… I had the typical innocence of a child

Haruka: …I can’t imagine an innocent Minami…

Minami:....I wanted to grow up fast. Isn’t it something typical of a child?

Momo: Yeah, it’s something that everybody does. You want to achieve something, become stronger…

Haruka: It was the same for me. I wanted to grow up so my grandma wouldn’t need to worry anymore, and I wouldn’t have to rely on others…

Iori: I thought that if I weren’t so young, maybe I would have been accepted…

Momo:.....

Momo:....can I hug you guys?

Minami: I don’t want the ramen to spill

Haruka: …and the curry might follow it

Iori: I-I’m also alright, thank you

Momo: Waah! You’re such mean kohai!

Momo: But you guys…and also Minami, you’re still teenagers. I think you’ll become strangely mature in the world you live in

Momo: Allow your senpai to spoil you from time to time! I’ll help you with anything you ask me to do, no matter if it’s selfish, I’ll do my absolute best!

Minami: Oh dear, what a good offer. Can I really be spoiled?

Haruka:.....so, there are times when you want to be spoiled too, Minami?

Minami: Fufu. Sometimes I would like to go back to the time when I was a docile child

Minami: My family would cook delicious meals for me and I could raise my voice with wonder… it was a lovely time

What that is, is you send me a description of yourself, personality, likes, dislikes, hobbies, dreams for the future, etc. I will then match you up with one of the IDOLiSH7 characters based on who I personally think you would be suited for.

I don’t need you to give me a description of what you look like, gender, or whatever. You will only be matched with males. Here are the list of the boys I will do matches with.

I am a passionate person who is a huge animal lover. I was born a vegetarian, although I have a big sweet tooth. I love nature, be it the ocean, forests, parks, etc. I’m not the biggest outdoors person, but I do need to get out every now and then. I’m the kind of person who takes scenery photography vs selfies. I have had many health issues through my life, especially the last 10 years of my life. However, I became quite fascinated with Psychology due to my time suffering from multiple chronic diseases. I am very close to my father, however I no longer have contact with my mother. She was abusive and eventually it came to a point I had to end things with her so I could someday be happy and healthy. I love singing, hitting high and long notes feels really good. I enjoy drawing, reading and writing and am a huge otaku. I have a giant collection of goods which I treasure. I’ve always been a little odd, never really fitting in with my own age group. I never lie, I see no point to it. Due to this I can be rather blunt, but I don’t do it to be mean. I am a very kind person who is always thinking of others. I may seem gentle but I have a slight extreme streak. I have trouble dealing with people who aren’t very intelligent. I don’t cry easy anymore, if I do it’s for someone else. Animals really do mean everything to me, my biggest wish for this world is that people learn to treat them with respect, that they are living creatures like us who have emotions and feel love too. I believe nothing in life should be free, people need to work for things. If you want to succeed in life then you need to put in the effort. I believe everyone has struggles of their own, if people could just see that then I think this world would be a better place. I love IDOLiSH7 because watching and listening to them all makes me so happy. I love them all with all of my heart.

A post that explains things like that about yourself is good! Of course you don’t need to get into personal details! I’m just personally rather open- but again the more info I have the more accurate your results will be!

Rules

1. Do NOT state which character you like/want to be paired with! I want to match you with someone based on who you are and who I think would be a good partner for you.

2. Ages don’t matter! (DON’T POST YOUR AGE!) If you are 27 and I pair you with Tamaki who in the series is 17/18, just imagine your in a time when your ages are closer. It’s all for fun anyway.

3. Please please include page numbers like I stated above 1/2 2/2 on your requests.

4. Be as descriptive as you can, state your strong points and your weak points! Everyone has them so don’t feel ashamed at all.

5. You will only get ONE matchup! If you don’t like who I paired you with, I’m sorry but I will choose who I think will be a good life partner for you.

6. Note, I don’t believe you have to have everything in common with someone or like the same things to be with someone. For example, if you like sweets and dislike spicy food, that doesn't mean I won't pair you with Sogo, same if you love anime! That doesn't mean you will get Nagi. I will pair you based on what each other lack and what each other needs in their life.

7. This is all in good fun so please don’t be upset if I don’t match you with who you want. And please don’t purposely try to get a certain character, you already know you like them, so why not find out who I think is suited for you?

8. Please don’t include your gender label- it doesn’t make a difference in the results!!

I will write a small entry on what they love about you and why you two work as a couple. (Ignoring all the idol stuff and dating restrictions etc)
