Before I ended my internship, I was writing some farewell cards for my supervisors. The other intern sitting next to me decided to do the same. He pulled out ChatGPT, showed it off to me, and asked why I bothered coming out with messages on my own. Reading the ChatGPT samples felt really empty though. At some point, I even thought, what's the point of writing a card to someone when it's just some generic message?
