I know I have been watching too many BLs when I see Reddit posts claiming surprise when they saw Mark Pakin in IPYTM since "he is a GMMTV actor" (nvm that IPYTM was obviously released way before Mark's very first GMMTV appearance in Bad Buddy 😅) while somebody claims they have never saw Drake kiss someone in a BL before Only Friends.

My Sundance Experience

When we first got to Park City, Utah, I had no idea what to expect. On our first day here it was cold and snowing. Very different from sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. We started the festival off strong with our first showing of How To Have Sex. Before that showing, we explored Main Street a bit to get an idea where everything is. We stopped at the Door Dash booth where they were giving out free hot chocolate and a free goodie bag that contained a multitude of items. I then went into the main festival store to get my merch before things started to sell out. I am really happy I made the decision to get everything I wanted right then and there because a few days later, some items were already sold out. It was such a surreal experience getting into line for our first screening. There were so many people there that were talking about many different things. From my time standing in line, I have noticed that there were so many directors and other people who worked on films just standing in line and waiting to see a movie that was not theirs. Main street is always very busy and you never know who you might run into. On one of our days there, I ran into the Irish rap group, Kneecap. I had never heard of them before but knew that they had a movie screening at Sundance. I got to see them drive around in their Irish police car and light some smoke signals. I also went to a talk that was held in the Cinema Cafe. It was called, Pushing the Boundaries of Storytelling for a Future that Demands Impact. It was a really cool talk to listen into and it gave me lots of inspiration for what I want to do. I want my films to be impactful and make people care enough that they also want to push for change.

In addition to Sundance is Slamdance. Slamdance is the alternative to Sundance, it is another film festival held by filmmakers for filmmakers. I’ve seen some really awesome films there and we also get to have a Q&A with the directors afterwards. It is a much smaller space than Sundance and it feels a lot more homey. After the Q&A, you can always run into the directors or actors and talk with them more. After I saw, Darla In Space, I wanted to get a photo with the cast and directors and I got one and it was really cool. In my personal opinion, I really like Slamdance a lot more than Sundance in terms of an aspiring independent filmmaker. The films at Slamdance don’t have a big budget or a big cast with big name stars, and, for now, it feels a lot more achievable for me. Sundance is cool and all, but a lot of the films we saw had a decent budget and one or two big name stars. Getting to experience both though is equally as awesome and I am having such a great time.

There was no better bond than slamming, sKanking, pulling up the fallen (so u don't trip and get trampled by boots too), climbing some moshers in front of u ( invariably, someone would scream/ask, "do u wanna go up?" And then proceed to try to throw u to the stage with more hands and shoulders helping too...since u r using them like ladders anyway 🫠)to get on stage to dive off the stage into the pit, or when moshing (the people mashed up against the stage who are where stage divers prefer to land because they/moshers are still..the skankers are circling and bouncing off the moshers and lines people are encircling the pit). great memories too of moshing and screaming lyrics with angry faces and sweating and seeing a nother angry face yelling the same condemnation then eye contact and both of us smile the biggest smiles until someone is climbing over them and a stagediver lands mostly on me and another diver kicks the other face in the head and I say, u wanna go up?! 😇🫠other than sex
