One word to describe Titan?
UNWATCHABLE.
I think the fans are insane, I think they’re deluded, and I think this show had given them an unjust ego. And they have VERY poor taste in anime if they think season four deserves to bear this show’s name. I mean, come on, MAPPA doesn’t deserve another project for creating something that looks this ugly.
Isayama is a shitty writer, Lindsay Seidel is a shitty actress, the other actors don’t sound remotely like their old selves, the story is a shadow of what it was, the Gabi fandom singlehandedly toxified this fanbase with their godlike reverence of their little bastard child, the Eremika fans need to rethink their concept of how a relationship should function, and the timeskip needs to be banned for endorsing genocide, intentional or not.
This story ended with the Ocean. I genuinely hope the anime finale goes unchanged because hopefully that will shut these foolish fans up for good. I want the anime fans to feel disappointment. I want them to feel stupid for staying with this. And I want Isayama’s feet held to the fire for whatever he’s been doing for five years straight.

Sengoku Denshou
Developer: Dragnet    Publisher: Sammy    Release: 12/28/93   Genre: Beat ’em up Before SNK rode the fighting game renaissance into the ground the Neo Geo was host to an assortment of beat em ups. With their graphical prowess these titles looked better than almost anything else on the market. But they also were not very good. To be fair most arcade brawlers were greedy quarter munchers so that…

Midnight Train (S4E2)
This is a kind reminder that tomorrow night's episode will feature Reiner's infamous nightmare scene - Mikasa & Levi. We'll get to see young Mikasa again in MAPPA's style 💖 (i hope) nope. It was WIT’s footage.

Inb4, Porco said Reiner's been having a nice dream. Indeed 😏

“The Dark, Dark Future We Face”
Tumblr media
In chapter 93, Reiner asked Falco to “save Gabi from the dark, dark future we face.” “The dark, dark future” Reiner talks about is the fate of inheriting one of the nine titans. Aside from being turned into a monster and a killing machine, a titan-shifter has only 13 years to live. At first sight, 13 years doesn’t seem absolutely terrible for a soldier – most of the survey corps members probably couldn’t last as long as 13 years in their military service.
But what’s horrible about the “dark, dark future” of the titan-shifters is the absolute certainty of their death at the end of 13 years. Although a survey corps soldier may die tomorrow or even the next minute, he or she can still hope – because death is uncertain, so there is hope that he or she may survive this day, and the next, and even for years to come. Ordinary people, even soldiers, live in the hope that death lies in an immeasurably distant future; it’s this hope that prevents us from descending into despair and insanity.
But it’s different for titan shifters like Reiner. To be a titan shifter is a death sentence; for them the time of death is certain and inexorable. In Dostoevsky’s discussion about capital punishment, he talked about the agony that comes from the knowledge of an inescapable death:
…the whole awful torture lies in the fact that there is certainly no escape, and there is no torture in the world more terrible. You may lead a soldier out and set him facing the cannon in battle and fire at him and he’ll still hope; but read a sentence of certain death over the same soldier, and he will go out of his mind or burst into tears. Who can tell whether human nature is able to bear this without madness?
I think this is the horrible tragedy of the titan-shifters. Despite the power they hold, they’re like death row prisoners with their execution day already marked out. And personally I think that the sense of doom and hopelessness that underlies the fate of a titan-shifter may have influenced Eren’s decision to go along with the rumbling. In chapter 130, there’s a such a sense of desolate sadness when Eren says to Zeke: “What are you even talking about? I’ve got four more years to live at most.”
Tumblr media
In this panel, Eren’s line “I’ve got four more years to live at most” is juxtaposed with Historia’s “what would you think about me having a child?” and Eren’s other line “their lives will continue even after I die.” In other words, Eren’s own impending death is placed side by side and contrasted with the birth of a new life (Historia’s child) and the hope of living a long life (Eren’s friends). This contrast brings out the full impact of the sad fate Eren has to suffer as a titan-shifter. Eren may have all the power in the world, but he is a doomed man – a man without hope or future. Eren is expecting his own death sentence, and he hopes to bring the old world to die with him. The new world after the rumbling is not one Eren expects to live to see.

8 months post-tumblrapocolypse: Alas! This original post, GONE from the eyes of the mass! This will not do! And so it returns, reuploaded, donned...with tutu censors.
Hi. I am reviving this blog. In future posts, all butts and glory shall be behind tutus (full glory available on Twitter + Pixiv)
That aside, I was notified that this comic had been reposted without permission on facebook, willfully cropped to remove my already illegible signature, and above all, posted without the 2nd half making the joke incomplete. (Yes this upsets me most. I worked hard on that!) Also it's coupled with their own descriptions that's basically just "teehee beach".
I really don't want to resort to slapping a web link watermark across the whole page.
Well, condemn them as I may, I don't believe they would ever end. So hey, instead, I want to extend my gratitude to those that took the time and effort to reach out and ask for permission. Thank you for respecting others and thank you for sharing with care~! \(。・u・。)/

Does anybody really take the poster for the final part of this season seriously?
We all know how this shitshow ends, but is anyone really won over by the alliance that has been the subject of much scrutiny since the finale, where the few verifiable heroes of this series are aligned with the mass murderers who triggered the entire series of events leading to Eren’s rampage?  But most of all, does ANYBODY take serious Gabi and Falco’s position in this poster? Two fucking kids who are fighting alongside veterans of both sides of the war infinitely more experienced and better trained than they are?
What of Gabbitch? A fucking twelve-year old with a sniper rifle.......Is this really meant to be taken seriously by anyone? Is this what Gabi fans are enamored with? I’m still struggling for a reason why anybody actually likes this fucking cunt who adds NOTHING new or of value to the story. And yet Isayama sees fit to rob Sasha of her rightful place in the final act for her sake. And Ymir of her place for Falco’s. (Oh yeah, is he still the darling of this post-ocean fandom? Because I’m not won over)
Fucking embarrassing that people are still holding out for this with the knowledge of the ending in mind. Or that anyone self-identifies as a Gabi fan. Yeah, keep that to yourselves.
Not to mention the fans who regularly proclaim they to get their hearts broken. Careful what you wish for, you Hange Zoe fans out there, you do her much honor with that attitude.
Also pathetic that Isayama cheered when he should’ve been apologizing for said ending. The man only deserves the cold hard truth about what his entire last act was. Seriously, fuck his feelings, weeping little shithead.

World Heroes
Developer: ADK    Publisher: Sunsoft    Release: 09/93   Genre: Fighting I think its safe to say SNK and the fighting game genre were quite fond of each other. Of the 150 or so Neo Geo games over 50 are fighting games. That’s 1/3 of its library! Needless to say not every game set the world on fire. World Heroes has always been the runt of the litter. It was popular enough to spawn multiple…

SNK Positivity Week Day 7: Happily Ever After
There are honestly countless situations that I would like to see get closure by the end of the story, but personally the one I'd like to see resolved the most is the one between Ymir and Historia. Their storyline was so well-written and empowering, but rather than it getting a proper ending, it got what feels like a sudden dead end. While it's true that readers were presented with a major death flag as soon as Ymir chose to go with Reiner and Bertholdt, the official confirmation of it in chapter 93 still felt very out of place. This is for two main reasons:
It was confirmed way too late, causing it to have less emotional impact for some people.
It was merely brought up in a conversation in which we were given a single panel flashback with very little context.
Basically, because Ymir was killed offscreen and her final words to Historia were through a letter, of all things, her death felt very anticlimactic. Hell, even Porco, who wasn't around for nearly as long as she was, got a more dignified death than her. Not to mention readers were once again met with the infamous Bury Your Gays trope, which I personally find to be one of the most headache-inducing tropes to ever plague fiction. But enough of that, I've got one more aching question regarding what we saw right before she died:
Tumblr media
...Just what the hell is happening here at this moment? It's clear that they're looking at each other, so surely they had some kind of conversation before the execution. I mean, it wouldn't make sense if they literally just stared at each other the whole time, it would be so awkward and pointless. So what were they talking about? What were Ymir's true final words? Were they a request? Or were they something else that nobody's thought about? Whatever is was, it looks like the only way to find out will have to be through Falco, and even then I'm not sure if that will be possible. New titan shifters tend to forget the last few minutes prior to the moment they inherited their titans, so if Porco and Ymir had that conversation just moments before her powers were passed on, does that mean it's all been lost? Meanwhile we have Historia, who promised Ymir that she would live a life to be proud of, only to get where she is now...
It's for these reasons that I'm not satisfied with the way their story has been executed so far. Obviously the happiest ending would have been for them to both make it out alive and get married, but this is Attack on Titan, so I'm not expecting an ending like that for anybody. Based on what we have, the most ideal ending for me would be to receive more context on Ymir's final moments and for Historia to get closure on her departure as well. I'd love to see her back on her feet and at peace with her life. At this point, it's all I could ask for. And finally, happy snk positivity week! I had fun participating and I wish we had more events like this. Thanks to all who organized this event and made it successful. ❤

So levi com the Ackerman main family, and mikasa from one of the branch family. Sad thought if lei died, doesn’t that make mikasa the last Ackerman? And if mikasa died without giving birth to any children doesn’t that mean the Ackerman are extinct for good. Since I don’t see levi having any kid
As far as we know Mikasa and Levi are the only two remaining Ackermans.  They certainly appear to be the only remaining Ackermans on Paradis. In chapter 93 Zeke tells Magath that “at least two” Ackermans exist, so I suppose it’s possible that Ackermans might have survived elsewhere in the world, but if they have, it seems that neither Marley or Paradis have any knowledge of them.  To be honest I’d be surprised if any more Ackermans come out of the wood work at this late stage of the day.  It would be kinda cool though.  But if things remain as they stand, and Mikasa and Levi were to be killed, yes, the Ackermans would die out once and for all :’(

Reiner’s Dream
It took me long enough to realize that the nightmare Reiner had in chapter 93 is probably about that day when, almost a decade ago, he convinced Annie and Bertholdt to carry on the mission after Marcel was eaten. Reiner cried out “wait” in his sleep and reached out his hand - the same gesture he made and word he uttered that day outside the wall.
That day was a turning point for Reiner, and for Bertholdt and Annie. How much guilt and regret Reiner carries when he remembers that day - it was because of his selfish decision that they didn’t turn back, and went on to become the cause of the deaths of so many friends and innocent people on Paradis Island. It is only in hindsight that one realizes those fatal choices that would haunt one for the rest of one’s life.
(p.s. The page before Reiner waking up from his nightmare, which shows the two Ackermans and Bertholdt's titan, is proabably meant to be Reiner’s dream, but I prefer this other possibility discussed in this post.)
