dare i argue...
kenny has a very interesting, consistent morality that isn't all that aberrant compared to most of AoT's main cast.
he is our main source of ackerman lore, whose fallen status within the walls directly telegraphs the position of eldia in the larger world, so on closer inspection, kenny, levi, and mikasa are more than a bit analogous to grisha and the warriors. in kenny's case, i think most of the elder jaegers. hear me out:
my ongoing beef with the uprising arc anime adaptation includes this scene with kenny's grandfather. confoundingly, WIT cut significant length from grandpa's explanation about the ackermans' persecution at the hands of the MPs, but gave kenny a line that... is ghostwritten by zeke jaeger.
in the manga, kenny discouraged kuchel from carrying levi to term for reasons he doesn't verbalize (snk 65)
in the anime (aot 43), my subtitles say "I swear, ain't no point being born in a craphole world like this where there's not a single dream worth pursuing."
the dubbed line is "who'd want to be born into this piece of shit world anyway? there isn't a dream you could have worth suffering through it."
btw i think WIT giving kenny like, 5x more lines with the word "dream" is fucking cheesy and childish; i could see how this mindset is challenged immediately by carla in bystander, but does kenny have to be the one to say it? we get that from historia and alma and ymir already! plenty of characters express thoughts of regretting being born, but this and zeke's are particular to eldians and ackermans, not individuals
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but what grandpa ackerman says about this "deal" between the ackerman patriarch and the crown echoes grisha and zeke's propaganda bedtime stories. the first generation born within the walls hoped that ignorance would spare future ackermans, and eldians left behind when the walls went up hoped compliance would save them from... paradise, conscription, what have you. historical omission and revision: neither fucking worked! that ackerman patriarch died pointlessly, every eldian sacrificed to marley's imperialism from foot soldiers in the trenches to the warriors and proto-warriors, ksaver's generation and older, died pointlessly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
much like the warriors, i don't think any of the above excuses or downplays kenny's wrongdoings, but contextualizes them:
he's a serial killer
as far as we know his Ripping was mostly MPs. as of this scene in ch. 65, the latest were lurking outside a dying old man's home, whether that means they monitored the eldest living ackerman closely, or they were there to jump kenny. point is, killing cops is uhhhhh cool. i don’t care he becomes one himself later. the old 2nd wave feminist adage of “the personal is political” applies to any gender, really, and we should all take police violence against vulnerable populations personally, so whether you frame kenny’s kill count before joining the MPs as self-defense or vengeance, there’s a net positive of fewer MPs terrorizing the streets of the interior and the underground.
he abandoned and/or abused levi
my guess is without his anime-only Zekeism™, kenny’s concern before levi's birth is more specific to kuchel’s circumstances, and also informs his abandonment:
raising a child would make kuchel’s life even more difficult;
the underground and moreover a brothel are no place to raise a child;
as his reaction to levi not knowing his last name goes, living as an ackerman is a curse unto itself (the zeke and ksaver conclusion), even if kenny’s relationship with uri has improved his circumstances;
my most charitable and extracanonical thought for this man is… i wonder what happened to his and kuchel’s own parents. how else do you lose track of your sister like this? did they feel abandoned themselves? did kenny already doubt kuchel would live long or be strong enough to protect a child (maternal mortality, which fellow MP nile dawk brings up in 108)? when he said “i’m not cut out to be some kid’s father,” did he also think that of kuchel? or did he think he also failed as an older brother—kenny and kuchel as grisha and faye...
we only get kenny’s POV of his time with levi, which lasts about five pages of chapter 69. my point is, levi whump revisionism tends to give him annie leonhart's canonical childhood, for which there is no evidence in chapter 69 or in bad boy.
of course, filling the blanks of kenny's pedagogy is grim, and popular fanon isn't unreasonable at all. there's no nonviolent way to teach violence, which kenny calls "the only tool he had" and likely thought of as the only thing he could offer levi. removing levi from the underground didn't seem to cross his mind, either, which could point to a pessimism that people kill people, above and below—the ackermans were wiped out on the surface, after all. but i actually find the understanding of their relationship to the royal family as feudal in the japanese sense helpful here: would bringing him along set levi's path for him, one in service to the reisses? cruel as it was, kenny guaranteed levi's freedom.
he's a cop
okay, this is where the manga gets a little ambiguous/inconsistent with chronology. when kenny gets the anti-personnel squad, he says he’s “never been part of the military before”—he’s actually following levi’s footsteps here, a criminal recruit far outclassing these graduates of the cadet corps. however, to historia, he identifies himself as part of the first interior squad in 845. the fuck?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
what is more certain is after he meets uri and becomes his bodyguard 😏, he joins this "assembly" or "council" of nobles and wallists. "bodyguard" does not sound like a role in which kenny would wander the walls doing extrajudicial murder like sannes. when levi and hange interrogate sannes, he proudly lists his own resume (snk 55), which includes killing armin’s parents, erwin’s father, and historia’s mother (the 2nd worst thing to be in the walls is blond), so besides alma, kenny doesn't seem to be included in these panels of the first interior squad "bloodying [their] hands" for peace within the walls.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think a reasonable conclusion is kenny joined the first interior squad after uri's death in 842, and this squad is so elusive as to be legendary to the average MP. there is probably some translation subtlety with "squad" and "section, " so my understanding is the anti-personnel squad is either part of the first interior squad, or an elite, separate but affiliated group much like levi's special operations squad.
i think of kenny in these three years as unmoored much like iseyama describes levi after shiganshina; the main thing guiding him seems to be his disdain for rod reiss, since he has no hard feeling against frieda. dare i say... rod is kenuri's zeke?
besides his worry for kuchel and debatable care for levi, kenny does, actually, express some of the humanitarianism that motivates his nephew, also in chapter 65 and also excluded from the anime adaptation:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"how much WE lost in those five years?! how many precious lives?!" "he don't give two shits about any of it! not his his family, not humanity, and certainly not you, historia!!
like, HELLO? who is he referring to? the residents of wall maria? the culling that killed armin's grandfather? historia's half-siblings? hell—trost and stohess, mere months ago? i think he's being genuine! this isn't a token, empty phrase, tugging at historia's heartstrings. a killer can value life, i don't think that's that crazy a thing to propose, least of all in attack on titan and least of all in the uprising arc where levi squad kills other humans (also all cops).
kenny's narration in chapter 69 and episode 47 revolves around power. his respect for uri starts from acknowledging him as "the strongest guy around," which echoes over the moment he abandons levi—he's done his level best to teach levi to be the strongest underground, and his philosophy of proving yourself to be the strongest or most powerful doesn't belie a sense of superiority over the weak or any desire to rule; it's the logical conclusion of the oppressed. he thinks of himself as strong, but doesn't call kuchel weak, and his use of "we"—he counts himself part of humanity. his later ambition to steal the founder... makes him more similar to erwin. he just wants the knowledge, the view from up there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but i think kenny is a little dishonest in chapter 58 before one of levi's coldest "yeah"'s of all time:
i'll kill anyone if that's what it takes to get the job done. ya kill too when it benefits ya, right?
for both men, this object "you" is not themselves as individuals, despite their posturing. it could really, really be humanity, for all three ackermans. mikasa, ten chapters prior:
there are only so many lives i can value, and i decided who those people were six years ago, so you shouldn't try to ask for my pity. because right now, i don't have time to spare, or room in my heart.
and her series-long journey is excavating her heart for humanity. the common fandom complaint that she "only cares about eren" is, to me, similarly reductive as their view of kenny. characters can lie to themselves, or reveal they're more selfless than they thought.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in conclusion:
ACAB
WIT skipped a lot of exposition to animate an extra kenny-levi fight that doesn't even make sense spatially
of course he sucks! and so do the younger ackermans! but they all suck a lot less than they think they do
kenny is also historia's uncle by marriage, in my heart
someone draw him and zeke hanging out

About the first meeting between Hanji and Levi   (levihan thoughts)
Let’s talk about the first meeting between Levi and Hanji. It’s set in the ACWNR manga (and too bad it wasn’t animated), during a mission outside the walls. The SC soldiers are preparing to rest in an old castle for the night.
Levi, Furlan and Isabel are sitting apart from the rest of the others. Till then, we haven’t seen any of those survey corps soldiers trying to start a friendly conversation or showing a kind attitude toward them. After all, Levi and his friends were thugs, criminals, born and raised in the underground, and therefore, they’re essentially different from people who led their life above the ground. Coming from a different environment, they’re regarded with suspicion and probably a little fear. Consequently, the trio doesn’t expect anyone to disturb them during their secret talks. But suddenly…
Tumblr media
Someone addresses them. It’s Hanji.
She starts enthusiastically praising Levi for the ability with which he has defeated the titan, presents herself, and casually takes a seat between Furlan and Isabel. She attempts to establish a conversation with the trio. Also, she tries to get some advice from Levi (without success, though). She tells them that seeing them fighting in that way has given to the other soldiers a new hope. She even gives Isabel cookies, and she proposes to treat them to a meal next time, if they all come back alive.
Differently from everyone else, she tries to approach them. In spite of all the distrust and hostility that surrounds the trio, Hanji doesn’t have any prejudice, instead, she displays towards them a disinterested kindness. And she tries to show them her friendly intentions with those simple and warm gestures. Initially they don’t even know how to react, in that she takes them by surprise. But mainly, I think, they’re not used to experiencing such an approach from other people. We can see on Levi’s face the surprise and confusion provoked by Hanji’s appearance and by her freaky enthusiasm.
Tumblr media
Anyway, despite Furlan suggesting him to “be nice” (that part was so hilarious btw), he doesn’t quit his detached and grumpy manners. Even so, Hanji doesn’t seem downcast by that, and takes her leave of them with a smile. And Levi himself, after Hanji’s gone, seems more thoughtful than bothered, and he simply stares at her without further responding to Furlan.
Tumblr media
I also found interesting Levi’s reply to Furlan’s question: he doesn’t want to be responsible for the lives of anyone else other than theirs. However, Hanji was simply asking him for some advice, but it seems that Levi, despite having just entered the SC, immediately had the thought of being responsible for the lives of other people.
I truly loved this scene and I think that it sets a good start to what would become their relationship. From their very first encounter, differently from everyone else, Hanji doesn’t seem discouraged or afraid by Levi’s difficult attitude, and actively tries to get close to him as a person. As regards Levi pov, Hanji must have appeared as a bewildering and unpredictable person. Because of all the grief endured and the experience that he’s had, Levi has learned to always expect the worst from and distrust others, and to have a wary and pessimistic attitude toward the world. And then arrives Hanji, someone with a puzzling positive temper, willing to see things from a different point of view, and capable of finding hope, even in moments of the deepest despair.
Tumblr media
I like to think that even if initially it could have appeared as something strange and odd to him, Levi eventually couldn’t help but being captivated by someone capable of seeing the world in that way, someone capable of showing him a new, hopeful future.

It angers me that Eren didn't have the freedom to choose who he loved. Mikasa going against his wish to let him go and forget him, then making out with his head pisses me off. Everytime the topic of Mikasas feelings comes up Eren literally changes the subject, even in the "i'll wrap it around you" scarf scene, she leans in to kiss him and he quickly stands up and looks away. He may have not rejected Mikasa with direct words but he did with actions. And she just kept pressing the issue and even ended up desecrating his dead body.
This 100%.
If Eren truly reciprocated her feelings, why didn’t he mention anything this whole time? Mikasa simply twists his words and actions every time.
Back during training, when Eren succeeds at balancing with the broken 3dmg, she jumped to the conclusion that he was rejoicing because “omg they could stay in the military together uWu” but we heard his actual thoughts of “ha! eat your words Mikasa”.
Then during the 108 flashback, which was shown from her POV, she made it look like Eren was looking at her only, when he was blushing at the end. And in chapter 123, which was also narrated by her, she made his anguished question about her romantic feelings.
I mean, what were we expecting when she couldn’t even respect his goal of enlisting in the SC to see the outside world and tried to sabotage it from day one? Why would she respect his dying wish?
I just don’t get why she couldn’t even try confessing first before she forced the kiss on him. Oh wait. That’s because she killed him and simply never cared about what he actually wanted.

Okay, I have a real question. We know that Eren didn’t have a shirt in ch.107 and in ch.108 he had it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know that in ch. 109 Hange talked with Floch, Louise, Wim and Holger. Then we see Mikasa locking Louise in her cell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that we know that Eren espaced and as a true edgy dude he came out shirtless.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Floch gave him his nasty cardigan™️ and Eren just pulled it over, because we had to see his abs™️ in ch.110
Tumblr media
But later, maybe in 15-40 mins (or more), he showed up with his iconic ✨shirt✨™️ in ch.112
Tumblr media
My question is...Did Floch took his shirt when he escaped and why Eren didn’t put on when he was doing his ✨abs✨ moment? 🥴 Why to wear a cardigan than his ✨shirt✨™️? Or as a real true Eren fanboy he had the same shirt? 🥴 Or he put in in his back pocket?

Alright, up through chapters 107 and 108 of AoT, and just a few observations!
First, Hange’s interaction with Eren in the dungeons, and how infuriatingly frustrating Eren’s refusal to just be honest with his friends continues to be.  Hange is making a direct appeal to Eren here to open up and be honest with them, even reminding him of the time they first met and he listened to Hange talk on and on about Titans.  Hange wants to understand what Eren is thinking, why he did what he did, trying to understand HIM, and Eren’s reaction to that is to makes threats and become physically violent with them.  It’s... horrible, to be honest.  Mikasa says later on in chapter 108 that it’s because Eren trusts them to help, but it comes across more as Eren USING his ability to trust them to accomplish goals which he feels no need to include them in on or ask their opinions about.  It smacks more of Eren taking advantage of the devotion his friends and comrades have towards him than anything else, and shows an almost pathological disregard for their own agency as seperate people.  It’s just so frustrating and disappointing to watch.  Yes, Eren does care about them, and his actions in the end were, in part, to help them, but they were also in part to satisfy his own destructive impulses, and he used them to do so.  It’s a betrayal of the trust, friendship and camaraderie they’d all shared for years up to that point.  If only he could have shown them the same level of trust and respect for their own agency as they showed him.  They deserved at least that much, not to be cast aside and used as pawns.
Next, I love how Levi doesn’t trust Yelana from the very start.  He’s side eyeing this bitch from the get go, lol.  Of course anyone who worships a psycho like Zeke as if he were a god isn’t to be trusted.  But I just love how Levi knew this chick was shady from the start.
Also, the way Levi isn’t buying Zeke’s bullshit either.  I noticed how Zeke right away starts in trying to manipulate and take advantage of Levi’s compassion by appealing to him about Gabi and Falco, claiming he wants to show them the forest, and Levi just flat out calls him out on it, saying it’s up to him whether they ever get to see it.  He’s telling Zeke that if he’s planning on betraying them and going against his word, then it’s people like Gabi and Falco who are going to pay.  He’s throwing Zeke’s selfishness and mercenary tactics back in his face, calling him on his willingness to hurt anyone, even two kids who looked up to him their whole lives, as long as he gets what he wants.  And of course, we see later on Zeke willingly sacrificing Falco and Colt for his plan to make contact with Eren, proving Levi right in doubting his BS earlier.
Beyond that, Zeke really is just a pathological liar.  The way he lies to Azumabito about his “dedication” to his father’s dream, when in truth his entire plan basically boils down to him wanting to give a big “fuck you” to his father, is just another bizarre instance of his willingness to use anyone and everyone to his fulfill an ultimately entirely selfish endeavor.

let's talk time travel again
Okay so this is actually my first time posting but I need to get some things out real quick. I don’t know if it’s been addressed already. At least, I’ve never heard of anything similar but please correct me if it’s already been done.
So, I’ve been rewatching SnK lately. And by the end of season 3, I came across this scene again, huh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I don’t know if I’m dumb or else but, I quickly realised during this particular moment that Kruger isn’t talking to Grisha at all. He’s talking to Eren. And it is just so... obvious?
That scene later made us understand one very important thing. Paths can go both ways: past and future. “Whose memories could they be?” It’s no memories. Kruger sees into the future, and he seemingly doesn’t even know it. He sees into the memory of someone who isn’t even born yet: Eren.
“If you want to save them all, Mikasa, Armin, and the others... Carry out your mission to the end.”
Kruger can’t and will never know them. Grisha doesn’t know them, yet. And though he will, and surely will grow some affection towards these kids, they don’t have anything to do with his goals. It doesn’t make sense. But Eren will know them, and deeply care about them.
Could it be that Kruger had some knowledge of what could possibly happen? Therefore, did he try to warn Eren through Grisha? It could be. But with Zeke and Eren travelling through the paths and literally interacting with the past, it might run deeper than that.
While he was there, did Eren found a way to pass the message through Kruger? Who would then give it to Grisha? Who would ultimately give to a post-Shiganshina Eren?
By doing this, did Eren change the future already? A different Eren. Who goes beyond our current storyline. Who we might never even see. Who failed his mission somehow. Who led to the death of his friends and everyone else. Who must not repeat the same mistakes to succeed and save them.
Is it not Kruger, but Eren talking to himself here? Another version of himself. The one that he could have been.
Eren and Eren.
An image like this, and all the parallels that have been made between Kruger and him, would make a lot more sense then.
Tumblr media
“Carry out your mission to the end.” What mission is he talking about? Save Eldia? Destroy the world? Follow the euthanisation plan? Prevent it? Or, something else?
Beyond that, saving his friends comes to the forefront. If you want to save them, then... Eren has one great purpose. A worldly-matter purpose. But the most important thing remains to save the ones he loves. And it’s been made quite clear despite his recent actions.
Tumblr media
If he ‘laughed’ after Sasha’s death, isn’t it because it’s all one big piece of irony? “If you can’t, we’re doomed to repeat it all again. The same history. The same mistakes. Again and again.” Is Eren doomed to see the ones he cares about dying again and again? First, Sasha, then everyone else? Has he already seen this? Just like Eldians have suffered from the same ‘maledictions’ over and over again?
If Eren is pushing his friends away, is it only to protect them? Because he has already seen the things that might happen if they fought alongside him? Is he just trying to prevent all of this?
But what if they all had a role just as important as his? If he’s the one who can save the world, could they be a part of this scheme too?
I guess we’ll figure all of this out soon enough.
Update: basically, it’s all about time loops.

Historia’s Stance and the Circumstances Behind Her Pregnancy
I for one have been super confused by Historia’s actions post-timeskip, especially after chapter 130. So to make sense of this whole pregnancy mess, I dug through all the relevant chapters and arrived at these conclusions:
1) The pregnancy was inevitable.
2) Historia is helping Eren, out of her own accord.
3) Historia actually prioritized herself (which was the pinnacle of her character development during the Uprising) by choosing to get pregnant.
The Original Plan
To being with, let’s backtrack to chapter 107, when we were first presented with Zeke’s plan (at least, the one he suggested as a cover up to euthanasia).
This plan involved using the Rumbling as a threat over the next 50 years to protect Paradis while the island worked on advancing technologically. To maintain the threat of the Rumbling however, the FT had to remain with a non-royal while the royal bloodline was to be expanded so that a Titan of royal blood could always be made available.
Thus, within the current timeframe, this plan boiled down to two main steps:
Have Historia inherit the Beast Titan (becoming the Titan of royal blood)
Have Historia birth as many kids as possible during her term
Note that the order of the steps did matter, as gaining control of the “Titan of royal blood” was the priority. They couldn’t let Zeke’s power go to waste. Expanding the Fritz bloodline came second, as Historia would have 13 years to bear children.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 107
Now, back then, Historia actually accepts the death sentence, stating that she’s willing to give up her life if it’s what’s necessary to ensure Paradis’ existence.
Eren however, does not, affirming that he would not agree to any plan that requires the conception of children with the intent of later sentencing them to death.
Tumblr media
Chapter 107
Given Eren’s response, the plan presented by Kiyomi on behalf of Zeke was collectively put to the side at the time. However, as no alternative was agreed upon during the next few years, a division amongst the ranks ensued.
The MP’s Scheme
While Eren’s stance on the original plan remained unchanged, the MPs schemed to follow through with it as soon as possible—and without discussing it with all parties involved first. This is because they wanted to be in control of the powers, and did not trust Zeke to wait until his term was up.
Eren and Historia however, were both aware of this decision, which leads us to their conversation in chapter 130.
Tumblr media
Chapter 130
This is where the polarity between Historia and Eren’s stances is reintroduced.
When Eren brings up the MP’s decision to follow through with the original plan, Historia once again says that she’s okay with whatever would ensure Paradis’ continued existence.
Tumblr media
Chapter 130
And again, Eren reaffirms that he could never accept this plan, because it involves conceiving children for the sole purpose of being sacrifices.
Tumblr media
Chapter 130
Side Note: Interestingly, Historia’s agreement with the original plan always focused on the first step (becoming a Titan), which involved her own life only, while Eren’s disagreement focused on the second element (birthing children). Historia never really commented on that part of the plan. And given her reaction to the idea of the Rumbling, it can be assumed that she meant she was okay with sacrifices involving her specifically.
Historia’s Decision
Now, we all know how Historia reacted to Eren’s plan, but let’s tackle the moment she went from disagreeing with him to agreeing to help him.
When Historia says she couldn’t bear living with herself if she didn’t do all she could to stop him, Eren offers a compromise. However, it’s the reminder of her decision to save him over the chance to save humanity back in chapter 66 that makes her decide to help out a friend over the majority once again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 130
Tumblr media
Chapter 66
See, it’s right after Eren brings up this scene that their conversation takes a turn. Although the dialogue is interspersed with Eren’s other conversation with Zeke, and there is no explicit confirmation indicating Historia’s final stance on Eren’s plan, I believe the juxtaposition between these two scenes was actually done on purpose to indirectly reveal Historia’s thoughts.
First, notice how the mention of Mikasa’s feelings for Eren and what she is willing to do for him is followed by Historia’s suggestion of getting pregnant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 130
Second, recall that the order in which Historia inherited the Beast Titan and got pregnant mattered in the original proposal. As the pregnancy was the second step, carrying it out first was actually a hinderance to the plan. This was stressed during the discussion between the MPs in chapter 108.
Tumblr media
Chapter 108
This is why Historia offering to get pregnant is symbolic of her choosing not to side with the MPs after all. Instead, she chose to help out a friend she cares about (because being pregnant meant not being able to eat Zeke as soon as he arrived on the island, which gave Eren the chance to activate the FT and start the Rumbling), and that’s how the mention of Mikasa’s protective feelings towards Eren reflects Historia’s decision, as she was influenced by them too.
Moreover, Eren’s succeeding lines about the difference in his and his friends’ lifespans is symbolic of Historia’s final stance as well. See, with this decision, Historia once again chose herself over the broad concept of “saving humanity”. If she had continued to side with the MP’s plan, she would have been choosing to live her life for others and sentencing herself to a guaranteed death (like Rod wanted her to). But her choosing to help Eren by getting pregnant is her choosing life, both her own and her child’s.
In that way, Historia’s decision is actually in line with her character development and a great way to conclude her arc.
The Missing Details
Having said all that, since we did not see the rest of the conversation, there are different possibilities in regards to the fine print.
Historia may have made the proposal with a compromise in mind. After all, children were part of the original plan she was willing to partake in and Eren tried to negotiate with her first. So she could have offered to help Eren out by buying him some time, while simultaneously intending on doing her part in the original plan, as to follow through with what she said about doing “everything [she] can to stop [him]”.
On the other hand, she could have actually promised to not involve the baby in this cycle of revenge, as I can’t imagine Eren agreeing to a compromise that entailed the very thing he rejected the original plan for. However, he could have reluctantly agreed under the assumption that the child would actually be safe from this fate, since he already knew he’d succeed in initiating the Rumbling.
(Personally, I would prefer if Historia did not use the child as a bargaining chip, and if her proposal to get pregnant was actually symbolic of her prioritizing her life and her child’s.)
In any case, while I don’t think Eren was a fan of the pregnancy idea (as he was trying to protect Historia from this fate this whole time), I believe he let it play out because:
(a) Historia was the one to suggest it out of her own free will,
(b) it did not cater to the part of the original plan that he was vehemently against,
(c) it was a compromise to Historia getting a definite death sentence,
(d) it was the only way to ensure Zeke’s safety (aside than his suggestions of “fighting or fleeing”, which Historia rejected).
This brings me to the confrontation between Eren and Hanji in chapter 107. In this scene, Hanji claims that although they still hadn’t found an alternative to the original plan of using Historia for their needs, by provoking the rest of the world via the Attack on Liberio, Eren doomed Historia to this fate. They even go as far as accusing Eren of not caring about her.

Chapter 107
But the thing is, as both Eren and Historia knew, this was unavoidable since the MPs were already scheming to follow the original plan behind the SC’s back. Thus, Historia’s involvement was inevitable. And this is why Eren got so angry.
When he mentions the possibility of “another way”, he was referring to one that did not require Historia to have to choose between shortening her lifespan or birthing children for the sake of Paradis’ protection. He tried to prevent it, but just like the Rumbling, he couldn’t.

Chapter 107
In Summary
1) The pregnancy was inevitable because the MPs were moving ahead with the original plan and Historia was okay with it [107, 108, 130].
2) Regardless of the details, there is no denying that by getting pregnant, Historia aided Eren in his plan by removing the only means by which Zeke could be killed upon arriving in Paradis [108].
3) The most important thing here is that Historia chose the pregnancy on her own terms in the end [130]. And by doing so, she took charge of her own life instead of letting others dictate it, just like in Uprising [66].
