I'm making headcannons because I love this so much.
- Edaline actually has a preference for femininity.
-She dated a few girls before she actually registered, and her parents did not approve.
-Juline also gives off bi energy, so I feel like they would both just be like, there for one another, y'know?
-We don't really know how elves feel about this stuff in general, so I think their parents, while not blatantly homophobic/biphobic would kind of just be like. "All girls are close to other girls, it's just you going through adolescence.
- So, the two of them wouldn't go out of their way to lie to their parents per say, but instead just wouldn't mention it.
-Grady also has a preference for femininity but dated a guy before meeting Edaline.
- They just both met and hit it off.
-Grady had sort-of been crushing on Edaline for multiple levels.
-Even though most elves were kind of queerphobic Edaline was still considered really popular in her level.
-Edaline knew of Grady (He was "the Mesmer" after all) but she didn't actually meet him until level seven.
-They'd either have that classic "I wasn't looking where I was going and ran into you meeting" or some really obscure and unique meeting that probably had something to do with an injured animal.
-Anyways yeah both Grady and Edaline are both dorks.
-Ok so Jolie.
-Jolie had a preference for masculinity.
-She fell head over heels for Brant and never really dated anyone else before him.
(Brief note, she is still valid! Just because you haven't dated more than one gender, it does not mean you are strictly heterosexual or homosexual. You can still be attracted to more than one gender and have only dated/had any romantic/sexual interaction with one! Trust your gut and choose a label that's comfortable for you! Okay, brief note over.)
-She came out to her parents in level five.
-Neither of them actually knew there was a specific name for it and had just priorly agreed that elves were just pretty.
-But they were both really supportive!
-Edaline also admitted that she'd dated a few girls back in her day and Jolie was pleasantly surprised!
-Sophie knew pretty early on she wasn't straight. That's what happens when a twelve-year-old is a senior in high school.
-She doesn't really have a preference, and honestly thinks that all people are just. Gorgeous.
-While not the first, Biana was definitely Sophie's confirmation that she was, very into women.
-But also, Fitz and Keefe.
-She is honestly the definition of a bi disaster.
-One of her biggest regrets was not telling her human parents. She really wanted them to know about this part of her but was afraid of what they would think even though she was pretty sure they would be supportive.
-She was proven correct when Amy told her that ve were a lesbian, using ve/ver pronouns.
-She didn't tell Grady and Edaline for a little either, as for a while she had no idea how elves felt on the stance.
-She actually at first went to Dex to ask about it. Xe told her about how it was a little better than a bad match, but still not truly accepted. Xe did tell her that xe thought that Grady and Edaline would be really supportive!
-She then told her partner, who was really genuine and kind about it.
-Then, she was like really nervous, and on the verge of tears when she came out to Grady and Edaline.
-It was actually during animal feeding time, but Edaline just kind of stopped because her mom senses were tingling. Sure enough, Sophie was on the verge of losing it, and her and Grady just dropped everything.
-Sophie just kind of goes "I like boys and girls."
-Grady snorts and pretty much says "Don't we all." Edaline elbows him and tells her that they're so proud of her and they love her.
So, uh, yeah! I probably went overboard with this, but I have a bunch of social energy, and I love the Ruewens! So, thank you so much for the ask!

It has been confirmed today that Benedict is straight in the show
There have been many ways I've wanted to answer this ask ranging from understanding, to cute, to outright losing followers dark humor. So I'm going to give you all of them because I can't just pick one.
1) A sad loss, but we can always headcannon him as Bisexual and nobody can take the fanon from us. $$ Invest in fanon now $$ once season 2 airs fanon will be prime realstate. I choose to keep Bi Benedict
2) Well, no matter his sexual orientation, he will always be a great character to me. And that's all that matters.
3) I wonder how many people that announcement pissed off? Just out of curiosity. Because you know, I use the block button liberally and don't browse trough Twitter. But still One has to prepare for the eventual reveal that Eloise is also very likely heterosexual herself and let's just say this author will be investing in a fireproof mailbox when that happens.
4) Benedict's story is already about a marginalized character facing social ostracizing for something she didn't choose. They probably kept Benedict straight to maintain the focus on Sophie's very real struggle with family trauma, poverty and class discrimination.
5) I'm not angry at this, but I have to agree that season 1 Benedict was blatant queerbaiting and it's wrong to do that to the audience. Readers There's a difference between Supernatural and Sherlock level of hush-hush-men-sleep-with-women-but-they-maybe-probaby-are-into-into-their-male friends kind of queerbaiting and then there's Bridgerton. Where an actual gay character talks to Benedict about the struggles of a gay man, to be gay, in his position and social standing. And Benedict then later has a threesome in what looks like a place where queer people are free to let lose and be themselves. Only for season 2 to go lol no he's not even actually bisexual or even gay. Badly done Netflix, seriously badly done
6) Who cares about Benedict, I want to talk about Sophie. She's the star of next season anyway. Being confirmed as straight is the least problematic thing about Benedict. Not worshipping Sophie like the jewel she is, is what makes is what makes him a disappoinment

7) I'm sorry that this news makes a lot of people sad, I know how important representation is for the LGBTQ community and it would have been amazing for Benedict to be canonically Bi. I'm also sad that queer people don't get more representation in original shows and get disappointed by characters created long before the LGBTQ community was recognized as a minority with rights of their own. Even if I do prefer characters like Benedict and Eloise to remain straight or at the very least Bisexual because that means I get to keep other characters like Sophie and Philip. Who's stories also make me happy. And who's love stories I want to see on screen. I can aknowledge and recognize that the LGBTQ community doesn't get treated fairly by big budget Hollywood productions and I hope this changes in the future. They deserve relatable big budget romance stories just as much as heterosexual people do.

So, now that Loki’s over I’m gonna talk about how I think they handled queer rep in that series. Now, there was a lot of speculation in the lead up to the series about whether they were going to make Loki canonically genderfluid, given the pics of Sophie on the set and Marvel rushing out a trade paperback of Lady Loki’s first appearance before the series came out. Even though signs were all pointing to yes I was very dubious because over 23 movies Marvel hasn’t even been able to have any gay or bi characters, I was really skeptical that they were going to showcase Loki being able to change genders on a whim like a Velociraptor from Jurassic Park. Like, that’s way beyond their ball game.
And now that the series is done I can say that I was simultaneously wrong but also kind of right about that?
So, first they actually have Loki’s sex listed as Fluid in his TVA paperwork. That’s canonically in there, but in the episode itself you have to pause to be able to read that. So guaranteed that slipped past a great chunk of the audience.
Then, there’s how it actually plays out in the series. I mean, not only making it so that the female Loki is a Variant, a seperate person to the main Loki, and apparently born female, but they also distance her even farther by having insist on being called ‘Sylvie’ and dislikes being calld ‘Loki’ at all. I’ve seen some people say this seemed to signal a trans narrative by resembling deadnaming, I can’t speak to that, all I can say is that To Me this just served to establish her as a seperate person to Loki and To Me that is not what I’m looking for in genderfluid representation.
The fact that these two then develop romantic feelings for each other only serves to further distance them again, imo. For all that is was supposedly supposed to be about self-love and accepting yourself with your flaws or whatever, ... like when I say it like that you might think that their entire relationship is metaphor for Loki accepting all aspects of himself, including feminine aspects, and that sounds like a queer narrative ... but it’s not how it plays out in the series. Instead Sylvie comes across like a different person, with different flaws. And Loki himself never comes across anything but a person who identifies as a man 100% of the time, albeit a man who just accepted that this woman was him without questioning it.
(also notably Loki doesn’t fall in love with a male variant of himself. Funny that. Would that have been P r o b l e m a t i c?)
Even funnier that they unambiguously confirmed Loki’s bi by just throwing it out there like it was nothing but also only in reference to Loki’s past lovers, when we’ve never seen Loki be in romantic relationship at all and ‘bit of both’ tells us nothing about who these people are. (kinda reminds me of Jenny Nicholson’s comments about Luke from Vampire Diaries off-screen boyfriends. ‘Where is he, Luke? Because he’s not in frame.’)
AND THEN, when we meet the other Loki variants in Episode 5, Loki asks if they’ve ever come across a woman variant of themself and they all say no. I would expect a female variant to be an anomly to a non-genderfluid character but for a genderfluid character? I expect a 50/50 split. Or for every Variant to have a different gender
idk, it’s just bizarre.

Hi, hello, thank you so much for following me in general and following me down this rabbit hole lol. Never could've expected that I'd be going so hard over a CW superhero show. Feels like it's my Vampire Diaries days, but with a significant upgrade in both (a) quality storylines for Black women and (b) lesbians.
writing for Ryan and Sophie has been a dream, and I genuinely can't get enough of them. The CW app is a nightmare, so tagged below is my preferred place to (re)watch episodes. so glad to sign you up. the welcome basket is on the way haha.
(to you and anyone else who want to go on the ride and don't know) watching season one isn't necessary if you're mainly here to see Ryan as Batwoman. but it is fun as well, and it has all of Sophie's coming out/lesbian repression arc, which meant so much to me. particularly because Sophie's specific brand of "I can take down every bad guy in Gotham, but I cannot talk to my mom about this" hit very close to home for me. also, Meagan Tandy (who plays Sophie) is just... so great. Sophie and Kate's r'ship is also a First Love / One That Got Away vibe, which is a fun contrast to the Enemies to Lovers vibe of Sophie and Ryan. Everyone's performances in S1 are great. I love them all so much.
but in s2, we do get Javicia (who plays Ryan Wilder, Batwoman), who is bi and, among many other things, a real joy to watch on and off screen. Ryan is so adorable and badass, and hilarious.
coming from QS fandom, I'm used to being in small fandoms that don't have a lot of fic to offer. doing my part to help add though!
(It's also not confirmed that Ryan and Sophie will ever canonically cross over to lovers, but even their journey to friends as two canon Black lesbians with differing opinions on law enforcement, life, and even their own relationships to their sexualities -- I'm weak. I love it here.)

Fox_Maiden: We know that Book Sansa played "kissing games" with Jeyne Poole, and seemed to enjoy it, but also had a crush on tall and dark Waymar Royce. Do you think she's bisexual? There was no evidence GOT Sansa was also attracted to women, although, I know some fans said it seemed like she had a crush on Margaery. Sophie is also bi, so I don't know if she would have subconsciously played Sansa as such? Tbh, I am glad because GOT would have exploited her bisexual awakening in the worst way.
She might be. I can certainly see how it could be headcanoned (since nothing is confirmed).
It might boil down to Martin not being very good at writing female friendships, but it could also allude to Sansa’s bisexuality. I personally don’t hold the kissing game as having any weight since Cat never had feelings for Baelish and they played the kissing game too.
Yeah. Honestly, with how little they DID focus on Sansa’s sexuality in the show all of us would have hated it.

She wanted to ruin me after I left her. But karma can come back twice-fold.
This is long so I will post a tl;dr at the end!
I once dated this girl, let's name her Jules. Jules and I met at the beginning of my college experience and really hit it off. It was my first time away from my conservative parents, which meant I could finally date another girl. I wanted to keep my options open, because it was the first month of college and I wanted to make a connection. I told her as much and she seemed okay with it.
Flash forward two months later, Jules is over at my place all the time. She basically lives there. And she lives like a pig. I mean, clothes so piled up that they make a new floor. I clean whenever I come home so my cat doesn't die from it. Jules is unhappy with me, a lot.
She doesn't like one of my sexual things, which is fine. I was a little shy about it and didn't need it at that moment. She doesn't like me hanging out with other people. Ever. It doesn't matter guy or girl (I'm bi), and she doesn't like me spending time without her. She's texting me constantly, angry when I get out of class and don't come to her.
She starts to interact with other girls to try and get a rise out of me. It doesn't, because I am okay with casual. One night, my cat gets sick and a friend of mine says she'll take me to the vet. I invite to Jules to come along and she blows up at me. She said that I should wait, because she had a special night planned for us and that my cat shouldn't be more important than her.
I just looked at her and said I didn't want her around me anymore and that she needed to leave. She threatened to harm herself and leave me if I didn't give in (she did this a lot). I said, okay. Leave. (My cat just had a throat infection, she's better now).
A few days later, Jules comes back to me and said she was being an ass because she loves me. I tell her I don't want to have anything to do with her anymore, and she starts yelling about how I stole her virginity and how me saying that I loved her meant nothing (I had never said "I love you." because. Casual.)
I helped her pack up and leave. I didn't realize, when she left, that she took a lot of my clothes. And a flashdrive with all of my writing from the last four years on it. When I asked for those things back, she said she never had any of it. So, lost about 500 pages of a book.
She then started saying I cheated on her, so a good portion of our mutual friends dropped me. I hadn't been with anyone while I was with her (not because I didn't want casual, but because if I even suggested we spend a night apart, she would start crying about how I hated her). And to top it off, the day after we split, she was sleeping with other people.
She also exposed my sexual preferences. At the time, it was mortifying for me, because I was incredibly ashamed of them. Not anymore, but back then. Wow. I have people asking me about them, and she's the only one that knows them. She also steals the tickets I bought to a play -- but more on that, later.
A few months pass, and a mutual friend, John, of our reconnects with me. He says that he can't be seen talking to me, however, because she would get upset at him. It goes like this for two other mutual friends. I'm their friend in secret, because they don't want her to blow up at them -- especially since they are all living with her. It also works for me, because even though I was angry, it was nice to get back at her a little bit.
Her best friend -- let's call her Sophie -- even gets close with me, saying that Jules isn't hanging out anymore now that she has a girlfriend. (Which, can confirm she does this.) Her best friend and I really, really get to know each other. And decide to date -- this was not revenge on Jules. But we do it secret, because Sophie doesn't want the backlash.
Everyone's coming to me, complaining about Jules behavior. I'm slowly winning everyone over. Finally, John says he can't live with her anymore and asks if when her lease is up, I take the room. He hasn't told Jules yet. I say, of course, sure.
I plan to take Sophie out to a show, a set of tickets I bought for it because Jules was a theater major. When I go to grab them, they're missing from their spot. Jules needed to see this play for a grade, but the tickets were under my card. So I went to the theater department, did up my distress real big, and said that a theater major stole my tickets from me.
They assured me they'd put my name and Sophie's down on the list and if a theater major came in with my tickets, they'd be expelled from the program. Guess who showed up at the same time as me and Sophie? Jules. The director told her himself that she was no longer allowed to be apart of the program, which she yelled at me about.
Before I could get a word in, Sophie jumps to my rescue and tells Jules she's so entitled that it disgusts her. Tells her about our relationship. Tells her that she doesn't want to Jules again, because of how she is.
Sophie and I have a great time at the play, and during intermission, John messages me to come over to the house because Jules was spending the night with her parents. Sophie and I head over and we're having a great time. Until Jules walks in.
She sees all of us, blinks, and turns to John to berate him for not telling her that he was having guests over -- because, in her own words, he has to make sure she's okay with every guest he has. He gets real quiet, before telling her that doesn't matter because in two months she won't live there anymore. He's not leasing her again (his dad owned the house) and I was taking her place.
She was out in a week, with no major and no friends. I also hear her girlfriend left her a few days later, because of how smothering she was. I moved in, because rent was three hundred dollars cheaper.
tl;dr: Smothering ex-girlfriend tries to take my friends and smear my name. I end up taking her best friend, her home, and her major from her.

Leverage: Reading Parker as Asexual
This meta is a brief overview on Parker from "Leverage" and why I think she can be read as asexual. Admittedly, I didn't think about it too much until after the show was over, being more concerned that Parker's developing relationship with Hardison didn't detract from her overall screen time or characterisation. I need not have worried on that front, and I'll mention their romance again shortly. Afterwards though, I started to think that Parker can be easily read as being on the asexual spectrum.
I want first to address my one concern about reading her as asexual; Parker is not what most people would describe as "normal". Her thought processes and reactions to events are not what would be expected under most circumstances.
Sophie: Parker, you do know that normal people just don't walk off a twenty-foot fall, right?
Parker: So, all those times I pushed Hardison off a building and he was all "Ahhh!", he wasn't just being funny?
She has not had a stable upbringing having been raised in the foster system, she doesn't even have another name, merely being "Parker", she is a thief by profession, and her social skills are awkward or eccentric depending on your viewpoint. Eliot often expresses his frustration with Parker as "What's wrong with you?!" (To be fair, she doesn't take offence and he does care for her; there's a familial bond between Parker, Eliot, and Hardison, in particular). The last thing asexuals need or want are characters who represent any of the stigmas or stereotypes around the orientation such as being "broken".
However, I'm not too concerned because Parker is awesome. Her team love her, she comes to love and trust them, she is clever, agile, loyal, and, ultimately takes the place of Nate as leader of the Leverage team in the finale episode. Possibly because of her own upbringing she's sensitive to the needs of children. She's well liked by fans (I've never seen hate for her, your mileage may vary):
Fan reaction to her is largely positive, often because of her nontraditional femininity and her unusual socialization. Many fans choose to read her as asexual, non-neurotypical, or a survivor of abuse to account for various aspects of her characterization on the show.
Overall, Parker is portrayed as quirky and eccentric rather than damaged. Her atyptical approach to life is often played as light-hearted, with her casual attitudes to things like falling from heights being contrasted with more usual reactions:
-PARKER: (to Eliot) Really? How’d you get over [your claustrophobia]?
-ELIOT: I locked myself in a woodshed behind my house for a couple nights. After that, I was fine.
-PARKER: That is so funny. I was scared of the dark and did exactly the same thing!

(Sophie, Eliot and Hardison stare at her)
-ELIOT: That’s not the same thing…What’s wrong with you?
All of the team, in fact, have their own baggage, and so Parker isn't held up as a broken person needing to be saved by their friends. They are a team and they support each other.
Sex is neither a large part of the show, nor is it ignored. There's a heterosexual on-off relationship between Nate and Sophia, Nate's ex-wife appears in several episodes, and Eliot has a few "girlfriend of the week" episodes. Parker doesn't have a boyfriend or girlfriend in her past, and when Hardison has an episode in which he flirts with a woman, she experiences some jealousy, the first sign that she is experiencing romantic affection.
In "The First David Job"/"The Second David Job", the team are trying to replace a famous statue with a fake. At one point, Parker kisses Hardison, pressing him against an alarmed door to cover up the real reason for the alarm. This improvised affection stuns Hardison, who has been giving her admiring glances for a while, but Parker shrugs it off the moment the kiss is over and the job is back on.
Hardison continues to develop feelings for Parker, but she seems not to notice – part of her social skills limitations – and it was debatable at this stage if she would or could develop romantic feelings for him in return.
As the series progresses, Parker becomes more emotionally aware and more in touch with her teammates. However it's only when she sees Hardison potentially romantically involved with another woman ("The Double-Blind Job") that she starts to realise her feelings for him.
I love that the episode featured Parker exploring the feeling of jealousy. Hardison flirting and working with Ashley was clearly driving Parker crazy, but she had no idea why. Further, at the end, Hardison clearly figured out that she was jealous, but warmly gave her space to come to terms with her feelings for him. - x
In fact Hardison handles things so well that the Parker/Hardison relationship, regardless of Parker's actual orientation, deserves meta of its own, as does the subtextual OT3 of Parker/Hardison/Eliot. At no point does Hardison ever demand or expect anything of Parker, letting her find her way in her own time, and ensuring their relationship is based on their wants and needs, not societal expectations.
PARKER: “you realize this isn’t going to be normal, right?”
HARDISON: “you know, my nana used to say that what’s normal is whatever works for you.”
Up until "The Double Blind Job", Parker has shown no interest in dating, romance, or sex. Even when Parker and Hardison begin dating – which is really more hanging out as a couple instead of hanging out with the whole team – their focus is on a variety of activities they find pleasurable, rather than on sex. The season five opener, "The Very Big Bird Job" confirms their new relationship status:
Sophie: Yeah. We're moving to Portland. No warning. Anything else?
Parker: Mm, Hardison and I are dating.
Hardison: Yeah. We just got back from a 'round-the-world trip. It was different, like, it's new, and we working it out.
[Flashback]

In the episode "The First Contact Job", Hardison plans a rather more traditionally romantic evening:

Parker: Ooh. Fire. I do like fire.
When the picnic is rained off, Parker is disappointed, but Hardison has a backup plan, an indoor picnic with electronic stars. Clearly Parker appreciates the thoughtfulness.
As such, I'd read Parker as hetero-romantic and/or demi-romantic, since she didn't develop feelings immediately. We never see her show any interest in women, though it could be argued she might be demi-romantic and bi-romantic, and we just never got the chance to explore that angle. I'd also argue, given her lack of interest around sexuality in general, she can be read on the asexual spectrum, possibly grey-asexual or demi-sexual, or asexual willing to have sex to please a partner.
It's been mentioned in previous discussions with my f-list, than Parker clearly loves the adrenaline rush she gets from her favourite hobbies, like bungee jumping. As such, orgasms could be seen as just another way to get a rush, and it's not unlikely that she's willing to masturbate and/or have sex in order to experience the pleasurable high. She certainly doesn't have any hangups about sex as bad or immoral; it just doesn't seem to interest her the way money or planning a heist does.
We never (to my knowledge, at least) get confirmation that "dating" involves sex. It's usually assumed that a romantic relationship will at some point become sexual, because our culture places a high value on sexual experiences. We can only guess, unless told otherwise, that sex does take place. However, given Hardison's deep affection and respect and overall patience, he would never demand or expect a sexual component to the relationship, and any sex that did happen would be undertaken at Parker's pace and with a great deal of attention paid to ensuring her consent.
However, once committed to a sexual relationship, I think Parker would be an enthusiastic participant. It wouldn’t beat the thrill of base jumping or breaking into a bank, but as a fun way to spend time with Hardison, who she loves deeply, she would give it her all.

Keepers Of The Chaos (3)
Summary: Tam, Linh, Dex, Keefe, Biana, and Fitz are part of the tiny fandom for Keeper of the Chaos, and Tam and Linh’s podcast convinces some of their other friends to watch it as well. The group finds themselves strangely invested in this show, where students at Tumblr High School who work together to write about an elf named Sophia, cause incomprehensible chaos, and fight their rival Pinterest High School.
Content warnings: Cursing, religion (Jewish Vackers), and Amsterdam (just in case, I know that was stressful for some people).

The life of an amateur meme maker on dumbles dot com was a strange one, that was for sure. After finishing xyr favorite show- Ze-Ra: Monaerchs of Powhir- for the third time, Dex had searched for another show to fill the void in xyr soul. Biana recommended this show called "Keepers of the Chaos" and described it to xem. Xe was doubtful at first, but after watching the first episode, xe was hooked.
Xe used to not have many friends at xyr school, so xe did what every neurodivergent queer teen would do- made an account on dumbles dot com. People seemed to like xem- or at least, they liked dizznee-plus's memes and edits of Ze-Ra characters. Even after Dex befriended xyr squish, Fitz, thons sister, Biana, and aer girlfriend, Sophie, xe continued making content on dumbles. Around that time, the Ze-Ra fandom started dying off, and xyr memes started getting fewer note
In a sudden, two am burst of inspiration, Dex made edits of some of xyr favorite characters, like Ref, Akki, and Rose, with their respective pride flags (all of them bi) over them, and captioned it "we must be gay." The post blew up, or at least, what could be considered blowing up in Keeper of the Chaos's tiny fandom, and that was how Dex found xyr calling as an amateur meme/edit maker for KOTC.
History had been repeating itself, with the KOTC fandom starting to die off, until it was revived by an announcement from creator Saturn Nolastname- a season two would be released soon. Frantically, Dex made a meme about season one episode two, with the car salesman meme. Xe edited "chaos keepers" onto the car salesman, "the rarelynoticed" on the car, and "this bad boy can fit so many stripper outfits into it."
That had been... an interesting episode, to say the least. The chaos keepers had been talking about the antagonists of "Sophie and the Dark Duck"- a rebel group called the Rarelynoticed. In the information packet they'd been given, it was confirmed that the Rarelynoticed wore black cloaks and armbands, but no other clothes had been mentioned. Somehow, the chaos keepers came to the conclusion that the Rarelynoticed really wore neon pink leotards and green stripper heels, then drew this idea.
Needless to say, the Tumblr staff did not let them write that into the book. Nor did Lynn, the unofficially chosen leader of the group. Unfortunately for her, this didn't stop the chaos keepers from drawing more of these- or the fandom from making a ton of memes. In addition to the car salesman meme, a post with Drake saying no to "wearing normal fucking villain outfits" and yes to "leotards and stripper heels" gained popularity within the small fandom.
Though nothing could match the absolute shock of seeing the Rarelynoticed stripper outfit for the first time, Dex decided to rewatch the episode anyway- it was funny to see the chaos keepers freak out, and maybe xe could get some good screen captures. The good Saturn Nolastname indulged xem, and xe captured an excellent scene of most of the chaos keepers either laughing or screaming at the Rarelynoticed stripper outfits, with Kimber- one of xyr favorites- sitting on the side, explaining to Juno and Kaitee why Bianca Cracker was bisexual.
Xe went over to dumbles, posted the picture, added an image description, and captioned it "Live photo of me not caring when my friends talk about sex/romance." Xe chuckled to xemself- this really was how it felt to be aroace. Xe tagged it as aromantic and asexual as well, since dumbles added flag colors. Smiling, xe went to go check xyr notifications.
Xyr jaw dropped when xe saw that @lordofthesnuggles- Fitzroy (Dex didn't know thons middle name) Vacker thonself had liked and reblogged all three of xyr memes, even adding compliments in the tags! Xe'd had a bit of a platonic crush on Fitz for... a really long time, but xe always felt too awkward to talk to thon, so it was nice to see that thon appreciated xyr humor.
Feeling energized- and excited to procrastinate on xyr math homework- Dex went to watch the next episode: Dark Duck Is Jewish Now. Being Jewish xemself, this was a really funny episode to xem.
Lynn had been writing a sort of spinoff- it would be called fanfiction, but it was for her own story- about some of the Dark Duck characters celebrating Christmas, and added a throwaway line about Bianca and Finn Cracker celebrating Hanukkah. Then, her fiance, Shai, had taken that idea and run with it, writing a list of ideas about what would happen if the Cracker family was Jewish. Hir friend Sam had jumped on the idea, and soon they had abandoned writing the actual Dark Duck in favor of writing a story about Jewish Dark Duck characters. Some of the other Jewish chaos keepers, like Ref and Cat, helped out.
To be honest, it kind of surprised Dex that no one had made a joke about the Jewish Crackers just being matzah, so xe supposed xe would have to be the first.
Xe posted that observation, quickly getting a like from Fitz- which made xem smile. After a few minutes, Dex posted another meme: Shai and Sam standing in front of a door with a sign that read "elves don't have religion," and them saying "This sign won't stop me, because I can't read!"
It was accurate.
While that episode was great for Jewish representation, and funny, the Banana Noir episode was just plain weird.
It focused less on the Dark Duck than most of the other episodes, and was more about the crazy interactions of the chaos keepers. The episode was named for Banana Noir, who was really Cat Noir, but in a banana suit. Banana Noir was the son of Mellie, who looked like a shark, and Nora, who had platonically married faer. The mothers tried to arrange a marriage between him and Akki, who loved the side characters of the Dark Duck series. However, Akki wanted to marry Amelia. After a lot of shit that basically no one understood, Banana Noir's attempts were thwarted, and Lynn officiated the wedding between Akki and Amelia.
Yeah, Dex had no idea what the fuck was going on either. Xe'd watched an episode of Twins of the Chaos and a youtube video by arsonpog analyzing the Banana Noir chronicles, as it had been dubbed by the chaos keepers, and both expert opinions seemed to agree that Saturn Nolastname and the rest of the writers had probably been on crack when they made that episode.
The next episode made slightly more sense, though it was a low bar. After taking a break from the "official" Dark Duck story, the chaos keepers began collectively writing a Cinderella story about the characters Sophia and Bianca. People weren't allowed to be queer in the official story, but the chaos keepers still wanted to have fun with their obviously gay characters.
Even to the viewers of the show, who only received secondhand information about the Dark Duck characters, knew there was no way any of them, let alone all of them, were allocishet. The exact identities weren't entirely clear- when Dex had made edits of the characters' official art and xyr headcanons for their pride flags, a few people had disagreed- but both the chaos keepers and the fandom knew that despite what Shannon said, Sophia and Bianca were in love, and their Cinderella story should have made it in to the official Dark Duck story.
While excerpts of the Cinderella story were quoted in the show, most of it was left unclear, so Biana had taken it upon aerself to write aer own version of it. Dex was expecting an update later that day, actually, or maybe the next. Ae wasn't always 100% reliable with aer update schedule. Still, Dex looked forward to when it eventually did come.
After the brief calmness from the Sophianca Cinderella episode, season one episode six, Amsterdam, exploded back into chaos. A few of the chaos keepers decided to discuss a fake scene in the book in which crazy shit went down, with the scene supposedly being located in Amsterdam. It had never been written and was never going to be, but everyone discussed it like it was real. Some of the highlights involved all the Dark Duck girls having swords (and the chaos keepers being gay for them), and a speedboat chase scene through the canals. Fitz had a popular theory that the chaos keepers would actually travel to Amsterdam in order to commemorate this crazy part of their lives. Almost as popular as that was a meme Dex made, with a man labeled "chaos keepers discussing amsterdam" and gesturing feverishly to a wall covered in papers and red string.
Of course, episode seven (Dark Duck Disney) was chaotic too. Everything was chaotic with this group, it was in the title. Shannon announced that the winning Dark Duck story would be adapted into a Disney movie. After past experience with terrible book to movie adaptations, the chaos keepers panicked. They panicked so much that it became major news within their school, which until then, had been largely ignoring the chaos keepers. Once the discussion about the movie settled down, they talked a lot about how in awe they were that their Dark Duck shenanigans were trending within the school.
But of course, none of that compared to the last episode of the season...
Dex changed xyr profile picture to include an ominous pair of teal eyes and sighed.

ASMR: business or therapy?
As was mentioned before, many Youtube-users have realized that ASMR was an extremely popular trend. But how do ASMR bloggers turn "sensual" ASMR videos into a very profitable business?
British student Sophie Michelle for the year earned more than 5 million rubles on video in ASMR format, where she communicates with the audience in a whisper. ASMR videos are made not only by adults, but even by children and earn money from them. 13-year-old Makenna Kelly shoots ASMR videos for her channel Life with MaK. Now 1.3 million people have signed up for it. In the most watched videos, Makenna eats instant noodles and drives the makeup brushes around the microphone. Many of the currently popular Youtube-bloggers gave interviews to various online newspapers, talking about what ASMR is, why it is so popular, and how ASMRtists relate to the production and consumption of ASMP content.
But… wait a second… ASMR, is it all about business? Let us remind you once again what ASMR is. ASMR, which stands for autonomous sensory meridian response, is a feeling of relaxation, characterised by a tingling sensation, which can be triggered by certain soothing stimuli such as whispering or the sound of crinkling fabric. As various surveys show, people turn to ASMR to fight anxiety, to relax and / or to fall asleep [4], [5].
However, there are people who consider the practice of ASMR, if not deviant, then at least simply strange. They not only express their opinions on the Internet, but also some of them can influence a wide audience due to their popularity, ridiculing and criticizing consumers of ASMR content. Oksana Moroz, the Russian culturologist, talks about whether the practice of ASMR is deviant or not, we will write about her in one of the following posts. But let’s turn back to how celebrities laugh at the practice of ASMR. The most striking example is Lorraine Kelly, a British television presenter who called ASMR “ridiculous” in her show. Twitter users who are fans of ASMR said they were "enraged" by her criticism of the technology, while one said that she should "educate herself." Lorraine said: “Have you ever heard the most ridiculous thing in all your life?” Such a tactless statement ran into a wave of indignation among ASMR fans, especially on Twitter. It is worth noting that many people mentioned the fact that ASMR helps them and / or their friends to deal with anxiety.
Those people who did not talk about ASMR as a way to deal with anxiety noted that ASMR is a great way to relax, which should not be ridiculed.
People also share their thoughts about ASMR and about what health problems it can help to fight, in various forums and in comments on various articles on the Internet [3].
Can ASMR be considered as a therapy to struggle with problems such as insomnia? Is it possible in this case to say that ASMR is a therapy?
But what really happens? Is ASMR a fighter with any mental issues or insomnia? Or is it just a business where ASMRtists and brands earn a lot of money without thinking about why anyone needs such content?
First of all, let’s turn to the term insomnia. What is it? Insomnia is defined by the presence of difficulties with sleep. Almost half of adults suffering from insomnia also have various mental issues, especially depression [6]. Prevalence of insomnia ranges from 10 to 15% among the general population, also women and older people are more prone to insomnia [7]. As a rule, insomnia is treated with therapy and medications, the choice of which depends on several factors [8]. From here we are wondering if simple videos with quiet sounds can help in the fight against poor quality and amount of sleep?
Unfortunately, we did not find scientific confirmation of this. One of the scientific papers of Giulia Poerio, which is so-called “Could Insomnia Be Relieved with a YouTube Video? The Relaxation and Calm of ASMR” [9], however does not answer the question of whether insomnia can be alleviated by ASMR or not. All cases when people say that ASMR helps them in the fight against insomnia are not scientifically proven and are personal experience and personal feelings.

Well hello Anna!
It seems as though it's a lovely day for a spot of PR tennis, doesn't it?
First we get the psuedo-announcement of the arrival of the newest Cumberspawn, buried in the depths of the Daily Fail. Complete with an advertorial of the fine services offered by a private maternity hospital in London.
Oh look! They've included the price of a stay per night too...just in case you were trying to decide where to birth your own little bundle of joy (if you have lots of money, that is).
I'll admit...I thought it was a vast improvement on previous efforts by the dismals.
Oh, it was bait, for sure...but not quite as overt an attempt at clickbait as they have demonstrated in the past. Despite the fact it was a...rather strange...article on initial reading.
PR might just have learnt somewhat...so cookies all round for Team BC, methinks.
And then we get a (subtle as a fucking sledgehammer) return of serve, with the newest Enty BI about BC/TH's wonderful 'friendship'.
And an article in People 'confirming' that Sophie has taken the name Cumberbatch.
Two years after they were married. And after those pesky tabs seemed to have so many problems getting her actual name correct in the interim.
Anna asked me today what I think will happen next...I think I can give you two answers for that:
1. What I think should happen next:
Pictures of BC and TH, in costume on the set of Infinity Wars. Having a blast together. Proper Bromance stuff.
It would generate an astonishing amount of publicity.
And it could launch a ship that the fanfic and slashfic writers would go ballistic over. A whole new world of Dr Strange + Loki fics for everyone's delectation.
Although, an important matter occurs to me...what would be the best name for such a ship?
If the interwebs knows what it's about...it would go for my personal favourite suggestion...the Stroki ship.
Although one can imagine that a Google search of such a term may be...ahhh...a little problematic ;-).
2. What I think is actually going to happen:
Another predictable 'happy families' pap walk of dismal for much straight cred and damage control.
Which probably won't generate too much in the way of interest for the general public...because boring couple is boring...and they don't sell as well as they used to.
It's a pity really...there is much potential for free publicity in the sham of ridiculousness, if they were prepared to use their imaginations a little.

University
So it’s time for me to make an in-depth account of my time here at university. I arrived on August 22nd, it has been almost three weeks. I have hardly recorded anything, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I was busy and didn’t have a lot of time to think. I’ll start now.
When I first arrived, I was a bit intimidated by the city and scared to be left alone here. I am soooo glad my mom came with me, I don’t know what I would have done without her. Over time, it grew on me and I realized it wasn’t so different from any Canadian city, and the things that make it different are the reasons that I love it. There is always something to do. It’s so beautiful, and I need to make sure I take advantage of the beautiful weather. Maybe after class on Monday I will do some solo exploring. I have found that when I go out with people, I focus too much on the people and not so much on the environment. I have also confirmed that I like spending time alone. But not too much, or I go crazy. I recognize that I’m on the path to discovering who I am. I was too hard on myself when I got here. I always envisioned university as a time where there would be no judgment and I could finally, fully be myself. But it takes time.
In the first few days, I met Sarah, Cece, Jaylyn and Sophie(a)? I don’t know if her name is Sophia or Sophie and at this point, I am too afraid to ask. They are the cool girls on this floor. A bit of a clique, but not necessarily exclusive. I am just waiting for them to settle in so that I can settle into their friendship lmao. I have learned that I like making friends in small groups. Ideally groups of 2 or 3, including myself. It is the best way to get to know people intimately, without feeling like I have to appease the group dynamic and stand out in order to make an impact with people. My best friends from frosh are Anna and Findlay, although I hope to make better friends with Lili and Karrell, as well as Fiona. I don’t have any good male friends, but we are still in the stage where people gravitate towards people of their own gender lol. I feel comfortable where I am right now but I still hope that I make more, stronger friendships. That’s kinda why I’m here.
I love being independent and kind of running my own life. But I miss my family and I’m glad we’re still on great terms and they are still present in my life. I miss being comfortable going to the bathroom at home and leaving my room lol. School hasn’t gotten hard yet, but it might. I’m going to try my very hardest to stick with the rule of 40 hours per week dedicated to school. A 9-5 situation would be ideal, if I can do it. I don’t wanna set the bar too high. No love interests yet. I still need to figure out if a queer club is a thing at this university. I am not out to anyone except for Karrell who told me she was bi. I told her that I am too. I honestly do not know if that’s true, but I think it is closest to the truth. I don’t want to close myself off to guys all together, but I know that I have a stronger attraction to girls and it’s a big part of who I am. Sadly, I don’t even have a crush on anyone yet. Not even Anna, the lesbian! She’s beautiful, smart and kind but she’s also in a relationship. I’m also not sure if we really have a spark. Maybe I don’t know anyone well enough yet to develop feelings for them. For me, that takes a while.
The other main people I have met are Abby, Aiden and Jada. Aside from all the people I have mentioned, I don’t have many other friends. I assume it will come with time. We have our first soccer game tomorrow, which I am nervous but excited for. I’m not in great shape and I’m sure it will be obvious. Perhaps what I am most excited for is my relationship with God. It hasn’t been the strongest since I got here but I’m going to church tomorrow. I want his presence in my life. On that note, I’ve expressed interest in the campus NDP club and the Catholic society. Two very different clubs, but both very me. I have a meeting with the Catholic society on Wednesday at 1, and a NDP engagement on Tuesday night. I’m looking forward to these things!
I went through minor periods of sadness, but I’m okay now. I imagine that the feeling of fulfillment I’m looking for will come after I really start getting into my classes. That’s why I’m here! I’m learning a lot about myself and really starting to test my limits. I’m doing things that scare me every day! I’m connecting with my surroundings in an entirely new way and I’m experiencing life through different lenses. I’m trying to discover what I value most in life, and how that will fuel where I end up down the line. In the midst of all this, my mom lost her job. Apparently because she just didn’t “fit the position”. I really feel for her because I know she loved working there. Part of me wishes I was there to support her, but I also know that God only gives us what we can handle. This is a period of growth and learning for everybody. These are exciting times and I really hope I can get the most out of this experience. Glory be to God.
