gw2 30 day challenge - day twelve

12. any friends you play with?

quite a few! some i met in game, some from here on tumblr, and some from my tabletop groups that i convinced to come play. :)

buuut i'm gonna use this day to yell about my wonderful partner, Merlin (aka @full-of-skritt) and what the game means to us. ♥

our relationship started off long-distance, and gaming was one of our main ways of spending quality time together. Merlin wasn't initially as interested in mmos as i was, but i managed to persuade them to give GW2 a try early on, promising them it was a very different kind of experience. sure enough, the game clicked almost instantly, and ever since then we've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours adventuring through Tyria together, inventing silly characters, coming up with stories, and making memories that would last us for years to come.

we now live together! (wild applause) and though their work keeps us from playing as often as we used to, we still have so much fun when we do. the new daily/weekly system has been especially great for giving us fun, short-term goals to achieve with their limited playtime.

pictured above chilling with Felix is their main rat, Cixxe! she's a funky little skritt-brain thief that's wound her way into the hearts of more than a few of my characters. if you want to know more about her (and you should, she's adorable), you should go send Merlin some asks!

Fall is literally so nostalgic to me. It’s just a remembrance of cozy and warm houses, picking up chestnut husks and mushrooms with my parents, Halloween decorations, boots in puddles… that’s what I love
