A bunch of cats that followed coyote paths to the clans!
Main blog: @mxssacre
Hi clangen tumblr I have no idea what I'm doing so be prepared for a MESS of a blog <3
A quick TW for the blog:
Coyoteclan WILL contain violence, foul language, blood, animal death and dark themes. Lots of silly cats die here :(
I'll be doing my best to also insert some comic-style lore excerpts between working on moon events for important lore! The prologue comic will be posted before moon one because I am so so reluctant to actually go the the first moon yet LMAO
More info on the clan founders below the cut!
Frondstar - 93 moons
A black ticked she-cat with vitiligo. Former show cat with a strong love for the order clan laws brought to her chaos.
apprentice: Cavepaw
Leafclaw - 19 moons
A long-furred pale gray and white she-cat. Made a deputy despite her young age and lack of mentoring an apprentice due to her diligence and care for her clanmates during their travels.
Longbillow - 47 moons
A pale gray smoke and white tom. His ghost sense made him the best option for med cat, as their starclan guide, Bluewave, was a med cat in life and is able to pass down her knowledge to her former clanmates.
Mitehaze - 42 moons
A long-furred speckled dark ginger and white she-cat. Adores her clanmates! Wants to be friends with Grayswan as she recognizes her from the old housefolk nests.
apprentice: Burrpaw
Shimmerbounce - 20 moons
An unusually spotted gray and white tom. Loves playing games with the kits.
Grayswan - 46 moons
A long-furred black and white she-cat. Smug and disliked by most of her clanmates, but particularly dislikes Mitehaze.
Burrpaw - 10 moons
A long-furred light brown smoke she-cat. Loves everyone, taking after her mentor and caretaker, Mitehaze! Always tries to be a good role model.
Cavepaw - 8 moons
A long-furred pale and white she-cat. Can be proud to a fault, and takes a dislike to Leafclaw, thinking she could make a better deputy one day.
Streakkit - 1 moon
An unusually dappled brown and white she-cat.
Dancingkit - 2 moons
A calico she-cat.

Okay so I was gonna do a big gush over all the new Bells Hells outfits on the recent cr episode (a surprise since I had expected that they'd show them for the live show), but instead I'm gonna encourage you to check out @agarthanguide who is answering asks about the process of designing them, they're very insightful, and I'm sure they're more than happy to answer more - within reason ofc.

Maybe it’s been said before, but Jason Todd and the Ship of Theseus has got its hooks in me.
As a thought experiment, the Ship of Theseus asks a pretty basic question: if all the parts of the ship are replaced one at a time, until no part of the original ship is part of the structure, is it still the Ship of Theseus? And at first, the instinctual response is no, that what remains is a perfect copy. Now there are a couple of philosophical roads you can go down to answer this, but what matters for my argument is that knee jerk reaction. Is the person that emerged out of the Lazarus pit and the training of the League still Jason Todd?
His body is not that of a teenager’s anymore. It has been replaced with that of a man’s. His body is not the body it should have grown to be, impacted by a childhood of deprivation. It has been replaced with something stronger, bigger, less easy to destroy. His mind is not the same. It has been twisted by pit madness and moulded by the al Ghuls. His mind is not the mind it would have grown to be, the beloved son of Bruce Wayne and exuberant second Robin. Love twisted to hate, protection turned to aggression, magic turned into vendetta. Jason’s difficulties with his family aren’t just about his methods, but about identity issues too. His fear that he will be rejected for not being who he was and his family not recognizing who he is now. Their (mostly Bruce’s) efforts to return him to who he was are the knee jerk reaction at work. The Jason Todd that crawled out of the pity is a twisted copy of who he was. Or is he?
There is another way of looking at the Ship of Theseus: any iteration of the ship is the real ship, because it is the essence of it that matters. The spirit matters more than the flesh, so to speak. The Jason Todd that crawled out of the pit always has been and always will be the same Jason Todd that learned to cook under Alfred, that stole the tires off of the Batmobile, that Dick took out for ice cream . At his core, he is still the child that believes in justice (it looks a little different now), in bettering the lives of everyone, that champions the people that Gotham tries to forget, that wants the love and approval of his family.
There is so much narrative and cathartic potential in Jason Todd coming to terms with every iteration of himself. The body horror and psychic fracturing of the early post-pit days, to the acceptance and assurance in his identity and goals. Jason Todd might be the Ship of Theseus, but he is also always himself first.

Crossover Idea 3
Batman (or DC in general but mostly focusing on batfam) and AtLA crossover, but probably not the usual way.
For one, there's no benders, not out everywhere. The creatures that taught the first are long dead, and the small communities of what people saw as mystical beings far gone.
So how would one learn bending?
Well while the people may be gone, their writings are not.
Enter Alfred- not a bender himself as far as the rest of the family knows- but the last of a long line who have kept each scroll and meticulously guarded them. Carefully taking care of lost knowledge and making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
Now Alfred has been holding these scrolls for years, decades even, when a young Bruce Wayne enters his care, his parents' death shaking both of them.
Alfred doesn't exactly mean to start teaching Bruce, but the child is so lost, and angry, and so close to shattering from the scattered cracks across him...
At first it's merely meditation techniques, done after nightmares, then before bed. Then it grows, his the child wishing to learn how to fight, to defend himself, to defend others, and Alfred cannot find himself to say no.
So Bruce learns.
For just a bit, he can let go of worries, of his fear and panic and everything else and simply live. He still leaves on his training trip, a decade gone as Alfred watches over the manor. He trains and learns and adapts, never using the wind among others even as it calls to him.
The wind is free-flowing, slippery, fast, but he learns, different styles, aggressive ones, defensive ones. Some he adds to his own bending style, adapting them to that free flowing graceful style, now accented with near rock-shattering hits, blades of wind carefully coating hands.
Others he leaves for non-bending, at least for his own, writing and drawing and putting down ideas. When he returns to Alfred, it is with a lighter weight on his back, and arms laden with both notes and drawings.
Gotham starts to whisper about a flying shadow soon after, gliding between buildings and darting between crime scene to crime scene. Gotham doesn't believe in Gods, but a ghost? A spirit?
That they can believe in, even if they're unsure as to if it's a guardian, or sign of something worse to come.
And then the children spirits start to appear.

maintenance guy just showed up at my door unannounced to check out something i reported yesterday...on the one hand loving this prompt service. on the other hand, give a broad some warning. i am in my pajamas and the place is a sty. but he might actually fix a thing that's been bugging me for over a decade, so that would be nice. not that that was urgent, obviously. so i would have appreciated a heads-up.

Throwback to to (start of) an art piece I did for an art class back in 2015 where one of the professors tried to fail me because, in her words, "Cartoon style isn't art."
This was in an animation track too.
