redesigns for pink diamond and rose quartz!!

pink diamond was created when white cast away most of her magenta light and her legs. pink diamond incubated in homeworld, conceived at the same time as blue and yellow but she emerged late and overcooked, lending to her small size and extreme, condensed power. she is the only other diamond aside from white with pure white pupils.

what appear to be white tights are actually white diamond's legs. as rose quartz, she shapeshifted away the six fingers that identified her as a diamond and while she could not hide the marks white left on her body, she changed their appearance to be thorns. i personally love pink/rose's forms in canon but i wanted to give them something extra; with pink, i love her clown theme and wanted to push into it more. and with rose, i wanted her to look more war-ready and messier, hence the messy curls and flowers in her hair. her feet also look dirty, although they aren't- that's how she reformed.

also, pink's halo is broken and uneven.

sorry for how rough these are i was just doodling. i really like steven universe but the fusion designs were just Not It for me, especially since i think their personalities could be better shown idk. have some amethyst fusion redesigns minus smoky rest in peace girl. i mean non binary.

opal is a painter to me,, amethyst is rebellious and a bit of a rascal and that paired with pearls orderly bisexual aunt energy screams that their fusion would be really into art, especially stuff like bauhaus or dada idk. this is the aunt who gives you money for weed and shows you her creepy fucked up paintings but they all have deep meanings and helps you interpret art in your own way.

sugilite is a big music fan to me. unstable and evil my fuckin ass this girl is forever taking a smoke break outside the club. she has never been in the club, just hangs around outside to listen to whats playing and talk to people about the better music that shed rather be listening to. this is the aunt who you never expect to see but who gives esoteric sage advice because she thinks its funny to confuse you.

redesigns for blue and yellow diamond!

blue and yellow were born when white cast away all of her cyan and yellow light, as well as one of her two pairs of arms. blue diamond's left arm belonged to white, just like yellow's right arm did.

for blue i wanted to go with a more heavy, somber, draped look while trying to lean into the water theme i gave her, hence her lines, like the ripple of water. as yellow is in charge of most of the gem army, i wanted to give her an outfit that really made her feel more militarian. all of my diamonds have six fingers (but i draw four fingered hands)

So if it was unknown I love Steven universe a lot, I’ve been a fan since 2018/ 6 years so when I started watching it I made a LOT of fan art, but since I was horrible at drawing they were real ugly. So I took one I still had and re drew it (which is the drawing on the left) and I’ve always had beef with Steven’s corruption design so I redesigned it lol (right)

Another WIP <3

I thought Spinel deserved to have a new form post-reformation! One no longer marked by her trauma to show that she's been healing and doing better. :3

She's a bit taller and more adult-coded! She's matured a bit, and while her hair is softer and puffier, it's no longer bound to the heart shapes she had in her original "toy" form.
