Guys help!
Had to tell me host mom that I couldn't make it to dinner because I wanted to watch MCC, but I don't know the words for gaming or championship so I was just like "it's an important event!" so that happened. But it's all good now. I'm ready to see Red Rabbits win MCC! WOHOO!!

i think it'd be funny is gai was color blind. had no idea his orange legwarmers don't match his green spandex cause he thinks they're just a different shade of green. lee's entire world crumbles at the realization that he's emulating what he thought was a fashion statement but is actually just an accident. tenten and neji are just like actually everything makes sense now. aldjfhhsjsbsk

Jimmy misses his rancher so much it hurts so he asks the Great Witch Shelby to erase all his memories of Tango.
Right after, Grian figures out a way to get the rift open again, and Tango would be overjoyed except for the fact that Jimmy has no idea who he is.
Or: rift 2 electric boogaloo but everyone’s shuffled around and I’m really angsty

I think my most controversial MCC take is that people think Grian is magic at buildmart management when the reality is almost all of Grian’s recent teams have been primarily composed of other people who are also good at buildmart. Grian’s management style shouldn’t be paraded around as a cure-all for players that struggle with the game, because there’s no evidence it works for players that struggle.
Like, don’t get me wrong, Grian’s certainly good at it, but he isn’t some magic force that can make players that struggle with buildmart do better. He’s just consistently ended up on teams with other people who are also pretty good at buildmart, which makes his management style look incredibly effective. The truth is most management styles work well when you use them with people who are already good at the task at hand.
If you look at his Buildmart win streak (MCC 16, 17, 18, 19) and the teams he was on, he’s had teams entirely composed of people in the top 15 rank for buildmart, with at least 2 people (counting him) in the top 10 for BM. The only exception was MCC 18, when he had Hbomb, Gem, & Niki as his team. Niki is the only player he’s had who struggles with bm, she’s at rank 22.6, and guess what? His team didn’t do well. They got 5th. It’s the only break in his win streak.
During Grian’s win streak, he’s never had to play BM with someone whose colorblind, or who has memorization/working memory issues (as far as I could tell). Let alone more than one person.
Now, again, I’m not saying Grian is bad at buildmart! He’s definitely good at it! He does his management and his comms well! What I’m saying is that people often paint him/his management style as a magic cure all. Way, WAY too often I see comments saying players that dislike/really struggle with buildmart just need to watch his VODs/be on a team with Grian.
The reality of the situation is that Grian’s good, but there’s no evidence his buildmart management style works well or “fixes” buildmart for players that struggle. The time he had a player that struggled with buildmart in his recent win streak (MCC 18), his team ended up in 5th. Grian’s good, but his wins have also been on teams composed of other people who don’t struggle with buildmart.
Maybe Grian is capable of taking a team that struggles with buildmart and managing it well enough to significantly reduce those struggles. We don’t know, because he’s never done it. I would be incredibly interested in seeing him attempt it; I think it’d be fascinating to give him a team of people that struggle and gauge the actual impact there, but like, it hasn’t been done. So please stop pretending that it has.
Anyways I guess the tl:dr here is; please stop saying teams / players that struggle with buildmart just need to use Grian’s management style or be on a team with him. It’s not some magic cure-all, there’s no evidence it works for players that struggle with buildmart. Management styles are not universal, and even the best management style can only do so much.

What if.
What if you were colour blind
Ni more team
Good thing I'm not. Or I'd have to wear color corrective glasses or just know my teammates looks very well.

I'm going to highlight the stupidness with the anti build mart stuff with a simple comparison: I don't like football.
I don't find it very interesting, I'm not naturally good at it, and I find watching it a bit overwhelming. But that I also recognize that different people are good at different things, that most sports are overwhelming to different people, and that it's a good sport that shouldn't be erased entirely just because some people don't like it.
This exact same logic applies to build mart. It's a well thought out game, and some people are more naturally good at it than others or find it disinteresting and that's fine. But some peoples' disinterest in it doesn't erase the thousands of people who really enjoy watching it.
So please dear god, you can dislike the game, but stop harassing Noxcrew over it.

Hey Jess, as a person who gets curious about hyper specific stuff, I wanted to know what color that yellow/brown-ish sweater was listed as by the designer. I wasn’t trying to be pretentious or something when calling it cognac, btw; it’s a regularly used description in my language, like you would use tan for leather, or dogs in English.
So anyway, I hopped on the John Varvatos site and saw that they call it copper. The cream white one from the beach selfie is listed as charcoal/turtle dove. Now on sale for a mere $235 (from $465). Wasn’t expecting precious little bean to be able to afford that on a music teacher salary. 😉
hello bestie
in this alternate universe, our precious lil' bean got that shirt from a good will <3 just like i actually got an almost exact replica of Ashton's very own yellow/brownish/copper sweater a few months ago for 6 dollars <33

Got my dad to watch mcc (scar pov) with me, here are some highlights of the occasion
he's colorblind and struggled telling teams apart, but appreciated color indicators on some blocks in games
did not understand survival games until he saw the border and then went "oh it's like fortnite!!"
asked questions about every ten seconds which was actually quite lovely, but included:
asking me how mcc teams are decided
asking me who scott smajor was no less than five times
asking me to explain the concept of hermitcraft.
did not care about the game chat until he realized that's where i was getting stats from and then started leaning as far forward as possible to read it
i don't think he ever really grasped the concept of rocket spleef. he had fun watching though
thought antfrost's skin was a bird
asked me if ace race was only for ace people (definitely trying to connect with me after i recently came out as ace. much appreciated, very sweet)
complained if people punched scar off during tgttos
asked if scar would be interested in coming to our family server to build
desperately wants minecraft slushies. i wouldn't be surprised if i joined the family server tomorrow to find he'd added a texture pack for them
i think his favorite game was meltdown, he got very excited about scar's killer aim
he says that most of the streamers he watches are british and hearing american accents on twitch was weird. ok
got happy every time scar wasn't last in team rankings for a game
guys he got so into dodgebolt. he was jumping up with every hit. he was very disappointed when i accidentally changed the channel during the second round and wouldn't let me touch the remote again. he actually cheered at the final shot
he didn't know anyone playing but he still really enjoyed it. he wants to watch again next time :)

I saw a tiktok comment stating that Aaravos blushes when picking up Viren’s statue. I had to find out even though I figured they were probably lying/joking. BUT I WAS WRONG. HE DOES ACTUALLY BLUSH.
I increased the sharpness and definition on both images EQUALLY to make it easier to see. It still might be hard if you’re a bit colorblind or something. Sorry about that.
I’m not the only one who sees this right? He clearly has more of a blush when he picks up Viren. I doubt it’s on accident because both scenes clearly use the same animation for Aaravos. Same mouth, eye, eyebrow, and hair position. But not the same blush. Like why would they randomly decide to add blush on that scene? The intros are so important. The team saw them so many times, they had to have noticed it. But idk.
