Okay, I didn’t expect anyone to approach me like that, but it seems to me that at least the boneheads will be interested in these guys? Like indie-rock it's cool

It seems to me that this will be especially familiar to Lewis (because of all the guys he is the youngest and died in a rather modern time than, for example, Daniel)

not just because of hellaverse, sam haft is one of my favorite musical artists of all time. a rant/storytime brought to you by me 😜

a while before i even knew what hazbin/helluva was, i had gotten really into the living tombstone. this was during the worst time in my life. i was on a road trip through LA and california in general, and i had just discovered how fucking fire the living tombstone songs are. i remember listening to all their songs on shuffle for the next few days, when i had come across the song “long time friends.” (i know the living tombstone is both yoav landau and sam haft, and i’m not sure how much of the lyric sam haft wrote, but i’m pretty sure it was most of if not all of them.)

this song literally changed my brain chemistry. something shifted suddenly in how i perceived like everything. this is not even an exaggeration. the lyrics really fucking struck a chord with me and it was that week that the way i viewed myself and my life became SO much more positive, and just so much better. that entire song is exactly how i think, and it’s exactly how i ended up healing from some pretty rough things.

and then there’s the song “what i want”, from the same album by the living tombstone called “zero_one”. i had first heard this song i think the same day i had first heard long time friends, but i hadn’t really paid any attention to the lyrics for whatever reason. flash forward to recently, when i relistened to that song and realized that i relate deeply to every. single. lyric.

mind you, there’s not many songs i relate to. the only other songs i had related to were long time friends, and a few other songs that i only VERY loosely related to. the moment i realized how much “what i want” related to me, i nearly cried, because i had genuinely never felt so seen in my life - that sounds very dramatic, but as a person who can barely truly relate to anything or anyone, it was a crazy and new experience. that song is literally EXACTLY what i went through just over a year ago, and it’s just so cathartic to be able to have a song that so closely relates to my emotions and the hardships i’ve had to face.

flash forward to today, and i am literally playing his completely solo song “pretending” from his EP “bad times” on repeat because this song is a damn banger. you guys should listen to it i literally love it it’s SO GOOD???

anyways sam haft is insane at music and i’m slightly biased toward his music because it’s the only music i relate to but no one can listen to his hellaverse songs and tell me he can’t write BANGERS 🤨🤨🤨

i will forever be grateful for him and his music bc at the moment he is like my entire music taste from his solo music to hazbin hotel to the living tombstone - the songs he writes and co-writes are just so fucking me dude like he needs to get out of my head NOT TO MENTION LOSER BABY IS EXACTLY HOW I COMFORT PEOPLE? THAT’S EXACTLY HOW I VIEW THINGS??? sam haft tweeted about how the positive nihilism that inspired loser baby got him out of a very tough time and the positive nihilism HE wrote (long time friends) got ME out of a very tough time and it’s like the universe has come full circle or some shit

I don’t think i realized how voiceless i was until i got tumblr. In real life i go mute/semi verbal over the smallest triggers and just in general I’m a really silent person so this experience has been super freeing for me.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this i just think it’s cool. I mean also a bit sad because it’s making me realize how i can’t really properly show my personality in real life, especially towards my family who, as much as i love them, are big causers of stress and overstimulation.

Anyway I’d love to hear other peoples experiences with this whether they’re autistic or not

THEY USED THE LIVING TOMBSTONE SONG FOR THE CREDITS HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUTOMATIC 5 STARS

#babbling #i just watched five nights at freddys and i LOVED it #dude when that song came out i listened to it… a lot #its a banger okay #i havent looked into the lore after like the second game #but it actually stayed pretty true to the lore i know from the first game #there were obvious liberties taken but im not mad at all #i actually fucking cried because im a loser baby who apparently cries at EVERYTHING now #but holy shit fnaf always made me feel so unsettled because those are CHILDREN #and so when i saw actual kids i just kinda had no chance of getting through the movie without waterworks #abby was absolutely phenomenal #i really appreciate camp and im so glad they didnt try to do a full gritty style and try to take it too seriously #so anyway yes full review is that it was very good #mattpatt deducted half a star but also added it back because of the shear dedication to the history of this series #and then the living tombstone just sent it into full masterpiece #thank you for coming to my ted talk #OH AND MATTHEW LILLARD #that set it automatically to 5 stars before all my other bs #i love that man and emma tammi is now my hero

Since you know her best, I was just wondering if Acxa would have the song "The Afton Family" by The Living Tombstone on her playlist? (Would you have it on your playlist?)

The beginning lyrics just fit her so well:

I do not think Acxa would listen to music on her own volition ngl.

But if she would I think she'd have songs that one would consider super edgy or really weird on her playlist. Things that would not vibe together in a playlist and where the tonal shift is so offputting a human would visibly cringe from the change when listening to a playlist of hers, which would also exclusively consist of songs introduced to her. No effort is made on her part to search for new music she'd enjoy. She'd listen to all music with the Acxa equivalent of the ">:|" expression. By which I mean her default expression. You know the one.

I'll admit, I haven't heard of this song before this ask, but it definitely sounds strange enough that I can see her including it in her playlist if and only if one of the MFEs or Veronica introduced it to her beforehand.
