Up way late at night due to reasons and killed a bug in my kitchen that was either an extremely small cockroach or an upsettingly roachlike moth and it’s fucking haunting me

#I only caught a glimpse of it bc I killed it as fast as possible y’know #and in such a way that I couldn’t. like. examine it afterwards #and I know there was a little brown moth in here a couple days ago right about that size that I never managed to catch #that disappeared somewhere #but I don’t know why that would be crawling along my kitchen floor as I tried to kill it rather than fly like it had been #I’ve never seen a roach in this apartment before and it’s been months #but I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a bright light on in the kitchen after midnight. so I could’ve missed things #augh I wanna deep clean my kitchen immediately #but it’s 1:30 am and I have work tomorrow #and I have to do shit after work w my coworkers tomorrow and will be out late #so I’m not gonna have any time to do so until Wednesday #unless I get up early or stay up late to do it #ahhh #I’m mostly ok at dealing with bugs #but roaches specifically activate like a primal terror in me #they Cannot be in my apartment #they are fucking Filth incarnate #I have to vent this madness somewhere bc if I don’t exorcise the horror I simply will not be able to sleep #invasion of the frogs

I think a lot about how Leo’s rescue could have easily ended in him losing a leg as the portal snaps shut on the Krang still clutching the limb, or, alternatively, only having Leo’s right arm make it out, still held dearly in his brother’s hand as the rest of Leo is left behind. (The latter hits even harder, as it directly parallels his future self in the worst of ways.)

I think a lot about how so many things could have gone wrong during the course of the movie with even a little bit of a change, but it really is harrowing how much of a coin-flip the entirety of the Prison Dimension rescue was.

Helpy Hand

When Lunch Lady went through a random portal instead of the Fenton portal (so she would not alert the halfa about her arrival) she prepared to end up somewhere near Amity, perhaps traveling to the town if she was somewhere else on earth.

She needed to make sure they didn't change her menu again or at least keep it balanced. That's why she was surprised when the portal dropped her off at a community center, where a man in a red helmet was yelling at his...chefs? about the menu.

She felt like helping as she watched the man leave the room. For some reason she wanted to stay a while, Amity still didn't need her. She followed "Hood" (his name, according to the "chefs") and overheard him complaining about not being able to cook for so many children.

Making her decision, Lunch got down to business and started cooking where she wasn't noticed. When Jason returned there were portions of food prepared on the table. That was weird, but he wouldn't complain about a gift.

It was weirder when it continued to happen in the week (and none of the dishes were poisoned, he checked), and on a random day a boy with black hair and blue eyes walked into the place, holding a container of soup in hand.

Jason wondered what such a strange tourist was doing in Gotham (on Crime Alley, he wasn't scared), and what he was looking for (he didn't know if the boy was brave or stupid) but he hoped he wasn't a new rogue at least.

Btw guys I did some digging on how to back up your blog, here's the deets:

If you have Xkit (which you should, it's a life saver!!) They have an option called Mirror Posts:

Turning this on means when you click the three dots at the top right of a post you've made you get this option:

Clicking to mirror the post gives you this:

Choosing WayBackMachine offers this page:

So you just click save and the waybackmachine then captures a screencap of your post and saves it. If you don't have an account then so long as you have the url for the post you'll always be able to find it there (or you can just put in the url to your tumblr but finding specific posts becomes more difficult then).

However if you DO have a waybackmachine account it'll store all of your saved posts into the account and you can access them there.

Choosing archivetoday gives you this:

There's a button at the top that says 'all snapshots from host apoptoses.tumblr.com' and you can then download them as a zip.

SO. This is a couple ways you can back up your original posts should something awful happen and your blog get terminated.

But I really, really encourage writers and artist to make a multi-chapter post on ao3 where they can dump all their short fics and quick sketches- truly no post is too small or too 'rough' to not save, because for someone out there that is their favorite fic or art of all time! And you deserve to have a portfolio of your hard work!

Back up your stuff, don't let us continue to live in a digital dark age where great posts get lost forever due to websites collapsing or making garbage choices ♥
