THERE HAD NEVER been a time when Azzi wasn't by your side.
Since the day you'd met her back in the sixth grade, she was always by your side. There was never a day where you questioned her loyalty or her friendship. Through the ups and downs of adolescence, through the awkwardness of high school, and into the uncertainties of young adulthood, Azzi remained a constant presence in your life.
She always admired everything about you ─ there was never a moment where she was annoyed by your extrovertness or how much you liked to talk, she actually enjoyed it. Azzi was never much of a talker, she was more of a listener so she liked to let you take the lead in conversations, always content to listen to your stories, your dreams, and your worries. She found solace in the rhythm of your voice, in the way your eyes lit up when you spoke about something you loved.
While you were the outgoing one, always ready to dive headfirst into any adventure, Azzi was the steady presence by your side, offering quiet wisdom and unwavering support. She may not have been the loudest voice in the room, but her presence spoke volumes, grounding you when you felt like you were spinning out of control.
Azzi's strength wasn't just in her ability to be a steadfast companion; it was also in her capacity for understanding. She had a way of seeing beyond the surface, of understanding the complexities of your emotions even when you couldn't understand them yourself.
In her own quiet way, Azzi was the glue that held your relationship together. She didn't need grand gestures or flashy displays of affection to show how much she cared; her loyalty and devotion spoke for themselves.
"Az!" You shouted as you practically threw yourself into her arms. She laughed as she held you close to her chest, her arms wrapping around your body.
As you nestled into Azzi's embrace, you couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth and happiness flood through you. Her laughter was like music to your ears, a melody that resonated deep within your soul.
It was finally summer and that meant it was her favorite time of year ─ spending every second with you. This was the second year you'd been separated because of college, so it wasn't entirely foreign but this year was a little harder than the last. She found herself missing you and thinking about you all the damn time, literally.
You could think of a couple reasons as to why, and one of them is because you'd both had confronted your long-time feelings for each other.
You both had danced around your feelings for each other for far too long, tiptoeing around the truth out of fear of ruining the beautiful friendship you shared. But as time went on, the pull between you grew stronger, until it became impossible to ignore.
The moment of truth came during a late-night conversation at your family's beach house, where words tumbled out in a rush of honesty and vulnerability. Azzi confessed her feelings for you, her heart laid bare for you to see. And to her relief and delight, you felt the same way. It felt like it was out of a movie; everything was perfect, Childish Gambino was playing through the speaker, the air felt just right and the waves whispered secrets in the background.
You pulled out of the hug with a grin as Azzi laughed again, putting her hands on your shoulders. "Damn, you're still short."
"Oh my god, we're still on this?" You let out a sigh, despite the sweet smile on your face. You've known each other since you were kids and still, her favorite thing to tease you about was your height.
And it wasn't even that you were abnormally short ─ she was just tall.
"What! I thought you woulda grown, sorry!" Azzi teased as you grumbled, rolling your eyes playfully.
"Well, you know what they say, good things come in small packages," you retorted with a smirk, earning another laugh from Azzi.
Azzi chuckled, giving you a playful shove. "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that, shorty."
Before you could respond, Azzi's name was being called from behind her. Azzi turned around to wave toward the group of girls, her teammates and friends from UConn. You'd met them one time before and that was at one of the championship games last year, and meeting them was a stretch ─ you'd waved at them.
As Azzi turned to greet her teammates, you couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness flutter in your stomach. You remembered the last time you had met them, feeling like a fish out of water among a group of award-winning athletes and accomplished individuals.
"I'm right here, guys," Azzi sighed as her friends walked toward her. "Y/N, this is Aubrey, Aaliyah and Nika. Oh, and Paige,"
Paige sent her a glare toward Azzi but before she could retort, Nika nudged her and smiled politely at you.
"Hi," you smiled as you looked up at Azzi for reassurance. She gave a warm smile as she pulled you closer to her side, squeezing you. "I'm Y/N,"
Azzi had never seen you so nervous, it was almost endearing to see. You'd always been the outgoing one, but in this moment, you seemed almost shy and uncertain. It was a side of you that Azzi hadn't seen often, and it made her heart swell with affection.
"You're even prettier in person," Nika spoke as she smiled. The girls all exchanged glances as Nika realized what she had just said, laughing. "What! I mean, we had to stalk Azzi's girl before we met her, it's just part of the process-"
"My god, Nika," Paige laughed as Azzi squeezed your shoulder.
You blushed under their gazes, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and flattery at Nika's comment. Azzi's gentle squeeze on your shoulder offered reassurance, grounding you in the moment.
"Thanks, you guys too. I'm a stalker too, don't worry. I'm practically your guys' biggest fan," you joked, trying to lighten the mood with a touch of self-deprecation. The tension eased as the group laughed, and you felt a sense of relief wash over you.
Aubrey grinned. "Well, I guess we're all in good company then."
Aaliyah nodded. "Absolutely. It's always nice to meet a fan."
"Hey, hey. She's actually my biggest fan, cause you know, she's my girlfriend." Azzi cut in as the group laughed. You glanced up at Azzi, your heart practically jumping at the word girlfriend. You were her girlfriend, and it sounded so perfect. You gazed up at Azzi, your eyes meeting hers, and in that moment, everything felt right.
"Absolutely, I have like 20 different jerseys" you chimed in, unable to hide the fondness in your voice as you leaned into Azzi's side.
Azzi laughed as she shook her head. "She's not joking, she probably has more than me."
"I've been collecting them since high school, cause I wanted to make sure everyone knew I was her biggest fan when she makes into the WNBA," you explained, a hint of pride coloring your words. The admiration and support you felt for Azzi were palpable, evident in the way you spoke about her with such reverence and affection.
"Our reservation is for 8 and it's 7:45, we should probably get going," Nika suggested, glancing at her watch.
Azzi nodded, casting a fond glance at you. "Yeah, let's head out."
With a collective agreement, the group began to make their way toward the restaurant, chatting and laughing as they went. Azzi slipped her hand into yours, intertwining your fingers with hers as you walked side by side. With a smile, you squeezed Azzi's hand, feeling a surge of love and gratitude for the amazing woman by your side.
At the restaurant, Azzi had her arm around you as the host led the group to their table. You felt a sense of warmth and comfort in Azzi's embrace, the simple gesture serving as a reminder of the deep connection you shared.
As you settled into your seats, the buzz of conversation continued around you, filled with laughter and shared stories. Azzi leaned in close, her lips brushing against your ear as she whispered, "I'm so glad you're here with me."
You turned to her, a soft smile playing on your lips as you met her gaze. "Me too," you replied, your voice filled with sincerity.
Throughout the meal, Azzi's hand remained firmly entwined with yours, Azzi was at ease as she kept stealing glances your way, her eyes filled with adoration and affection. It was moments like these that reminded you why your bond with her was so special, why her presence in your life was irreplaceable.
Her friends could tell how absolutely whipped you both were for each other, it was obvious by the way you looked at each other.
They were all skeptical of you in the beginning, your instagram seemed too aesthetic and preppy for their taste, but as they got to know you, they realized there was much more depth to you than what your social media portrayed. You were genuine, kind-hearted, and fiercely loyal to Azzi, qualities that quickly won them over despite their initial reservations.
You brought out the laid-back, extroverted side of Azzi they rarely got to see. It was exciting to see, they loved seeing their girl happy and carefree in your presence. Your genuine affection for Azzi was evident in the way you looked at her, the way you made her laugh, and the way you supported her dreams and ambitions.
As the evening progressed, you found yourself engaged in lively conversation with Azzi's friends, sharing stories and laughter as you got to know each other better. With each passing moment, the initial skepticism faded away, replaced by genuine warmth.
And as you walked out of the restaurant next to Paige and Aubrey, the girls followed with smiles on their faces. Aaliyah pulled Azzi close as she caught her eye, a grin on her face.
"We took it up with the counsel and we approve," Aaliyah whispered as Azzi's face contorted into an amused expression.
"Bro, what do mean the counsel?" She repeated as they glanced toward the girls in front of them, who were now laughing at some joke Paige had made. "But thanks, it means a lot."
"We like her a lot," Nika chimed in, her voice filled with sincerity as she glanced back at you and Azzi walking behind them. "She's good for you, Az."
Azzi's heart swelled with affection for her friends as she wrapped an arm around Aaliyah's shoulders, pulling her into a tight side hug. "Thanks, guys. I'm really happy," she said, her voice filled with genuine gratitude. "That means everything to me."
She was ecstatic that you fit into her life so perfectly (not like she ever doubted your people skills and your charm), and hearing her friends express their approval only confirmed what she already knew deep down: you were the one for her.
As you all walked together, surrounded by the laughter and warmth of her friends, Azzi couldn't help but feel a sense of peace settle over her.

Pairing : BF!Niki Nishimura x DEPRESSEDreader! (Real) 🎀
Genre : fluff <3 sad af tho idfk what the genre is
WARNINGS : mentions of self harm, depression, anxiety
A/N : SRRY I usually post like once a week and I forgot to this week I think… Idrk I literally have a fucking concussion rn💀 happened bcs lowkey thought I was in a music video and did cartwheels in my room at 3 am and smacked the shit out of my head and then hit my head on the floor and woke up seeing Gojo Satoru shakin ass 💀😜 anyway enjoy yawl😳
In the car with your boyfriend Niki, heading to the movie theater, the atmosphere was perfect –soft music, and a feeling that made life worthwhile. It had been a month since you’d seen him. These small moments you had with Niki made your life worth living. Most of the time he was busy or away for his idol duties and you’d miss him so badly. You would wonder if him being away for so long would end up with you both breaking up or you both falling out of love. The thought always made you feel nauseous and overwhelmed. Your overthinking would get the best of you sometimes, and you would result to self harm. Niki had no idea though and you never planned on telling him.
"Y/n, you might want to ditch the hoodie; it's getting pretty warm in here. You're sweating," your boyfriend chuckled, casting a glance your way. "No kidding, it's hot as hell." You sighed wiping your forehead with your sleeve. As you started to pull down the zipper your hoodie, the memories of your scars made you hesitate. “Actually I’m fine. I can handle it.” You reassured Niki. “Huh? Don’t risk a heat stroke, take it off,” he insisted, concern etching his face. “No I’m literally gonna be fine trust me.” You countered, zipping your hoodie back up quickly. “Y/n. It’s the middle of summer and you’re wearing a hoodie darling. You might wanna take it off.” Niki suggested, a puzzled look was painted on his face. “I’m gonna be alright trust me.” You gave Niki a sweet smile, trying to look unsuspicious. “Whatever you say Y/n.” Your boyfriend sighed.
You and Niki finally arrived at the movie theater. You checked in, got tickets, got snacks and headed to your movie. The air-conditioned theater promised relief from the summer heat, but your hoodie remained a steadfast companion.
Inside the cool, dimly lit theater, you found your seats, the contrast between the chilly air and your hoodie creating a cozy bubble. The movie previews flickered on the screen, and the scent of buttered popcorn filled the air.
Niki leaned over and whispered, "Are you sure you won't overheat in there?..”
“It’s cool in here Niki! I’m fine.” You softly giggled. The movie began, and you got so into it that the hoodie wasn't on your mind anymore. The plot grabbed your attention, and the cozy warmth just blended into the background.
Midway through the movie, Niki gently reached for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. Your initial reaction was surprise; you were aware of Niki's habit for tracing his fingers along your palms and wrists. Softly pushing his hand away, you met his gaze. He looked absolutely ethereal in the dim theater lighting.
"Do you not want to hold hands?" Niki whispered, pouting with a hint of sadness.
"I do, just... not right now," you replied. Niki's worried expression prompted him to ask, "Is there something wrong?"
You hesitated before responding, "No, no, I just... don't worry about it."
Your words, though intended to reassure, unintentionally stabbed at Niki's heart. His love for you was profound, and while he knew he could be clingy, he never imagined it could "annoy you." The worry in his eyes lingered as the movie played on.
You both went back to the apartment after the movie. The car ride was quiet because you pretended to be asleep, avoiding a talk about why you didn't hold hands. Niki spent the entire ride overthinking what he might have done wrong.
“Niki. I’m gonna go take a shower.” You said, walking off to your room to get your clothes. “Oh okay. I’ll make you some tea for when you get out.” He replied.
When you stepped in the shower, the warm water stung your fresh cuts. You held your wrists and winced in pain, small tears ran down your cheeks. Staring at your wrists, you wondered how you could be so stupid. You regret doing it , because now Niki might see them. The thought made you softly cry. Thank God the shower water was loud enough to cover up your soft muttering and sighs.
After your shower, you returned to the kitchen. Niki was busy cooking dinner and brewing tea for both of you, a delightful surprise that warmed your heart. Soft music played from his speaker next to the stove.
Curious, you asked, "What are you making?" Sitting at the table, he chuckled and replied, "Pasta, I’m trying out new things." The song changed to your favorite, "Somethin’ Stupid” by Frank Sinatra. Excitedly, you exclaimed, "Niki, you added my favorite song to your playlist!"
With a smile, he admitted, "I really like this song. Isn't it your favorite?" You giggled, "Duh! I play it all the time in your car." Niki turned off the stove and approached you. "Is the food ready?" you inquired. "Not yet, but how about we dance?" he suggested, extending his hand with a gentle smile, eyes filled with admiration.
In the soft glow of the dim kitchen light, you and Niki began to slow dance. The soothing melody of the song filled the air as he held you close. The ambiance was warm, and the subtle scent of dinner in the making lingered.
Niki led with gentle grace, swaying to the music with you in a tranquil dance. The rhythmic steps mirrored the easy connection between you two, the worries of the day fading away in the embrace of the moment. His hand rested on the small of your back, fingers delicately entwined with yours. As you swayed together, his other hand found its place on your waist, the closeness allowing you to feel the comforting warmth of his touch. The subtle aroma of the cooking dinner heightened the sensory experience.
Niki's gaze, brimming with stars and admiration, locked onto yours as he gently took your hand in his. However, reality snapped you back, and a sudden fear of him discovering your self infliction made you pull away. You pulled your hand away from his gently. Niki stopped dancing with you, his eyes locked onto yours with concern. "I'm sorry for asking, but why don't you want me to hold your hand?" he inquired.
A tremor ran through you, fear intensifying. Taking a deep breath, you hesitated before admitting, "I... I just," struggling to find the right words. The fear of Niki discovering your scars weighed heavy on your mind.
After a moment, you decided to face it. "Actually, you know what? Hold hands with me," you said, mustering a smile and intertwining your fingers with his. It was a fleeting decision, hoping that the dance would end before he’d notice. He brought a gentle kiss to your forehead. “Your hair smells good.” He nestled his nose into your hair. The song made the moment vulnerable. You found yourself forgetting about all your worries once again. He brought his lips to your wrist, you didn’t even catch it either. You were too busy humming the melody of the song into his chest. Niki pressed his lips to your wrist. He quickly pulled back and examined if, squinting his eyes. You suddenly realized what he was doing. You pulled away from his arms and held your wrist. His face looked indescribable. Worried, sad, confused all at the same time. The song had stopped already, and the room fell silent. "Y/n," Niki uttered softly, his voice carrying a mixture of concern and care. Before he could say more, your lips began to quiver, and tears welled up in your lashes. A gentle cascade of tears spilled from your eyes.
Niki, swift in his response, hurried over and enveloped you in a warm embrace. His chin rested on your head, and his hand traced soothing circles on your back. Anxiety gripped you like a constricting fog, the weight on your chest almost suffocating. Tears stained Niki's once-white shirt, but he paid it no mind.
"It's okay. I'm not upset," he reassured, planting a tender kiss on the top of your head. "My poor, beautiful girl. When did you do that?" he asked, lifting your chin to meet his gaze. Your hyperventilating made it challenging to speak, rendering you silent in the vulnerability of the moment.
Your hyperventilation began to subside, allowing you to regain some composure. "I..was just.. overthinking," you finally managed to admit, your voice still shaky.
Niki's expression softened, a mixture of empathy and a determination to be there for you. “Was it because of me?” he whispered, his thumb brushing away a tear that lingered on your cheek.
You hesitated, the weight of your emotions pressing against your chest. "Yes?... no," you stumbled over your words, struggling to articulate the whirlwind within. "I just miss you so much when you're gone for so long. I feel so lonely again. You're... you're my only light, and the only one in my life who actually makes me happy. I can't stand it when you're away."
Niki's gaze held a depth of understanding as he gently cradled your face. "Y/n, I didn't realize. I'm here for you, always. I’ll bring you with me next time, and the next one after that. I promise my love,” he reassured. His words soothed the ache within your heart. “I’ll be back,” Niki gently pulled his body away from yours. “I’m gonna go get bandages from the bathroom. Sit down,” he kissed your cheek before leaving the room.
When Niki returned, you couldn't help but chuckle at the state of his shirt, soaked with tear and snot stains – undeniably gross. Standing in front of you, he gently took hold of both your injured wrists, his eyes carrying a mix of hurt and pain. Soft elastic bandages in hand, he began to wrap your wrists with a delicate touch.
As he worked, you noticed a subtle glisten in his eyes. His fingers traced along the palms of your wrists, a silent acknowledgment of shared pain. You looked up at him with teary eyes and saw the vulnerability in his gaze.
"Promise me you'll never do this again," he pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion. Small tears escaped his eyes, tracing down his cheeks. Overwhelmed, you apologized, "I... I'm sorry. I promise. I'm so sorry."You rose from your chair, embracing Niki tightly, the shared pain and promise binding you together in that moment. “I love you so much darling you have no idea. To know that you’ve been hurting yourself like this.. it kills me.” He whispered softly. “I love you too, Niki.” You placed a soft kiss to his chin.
"Do you wanna finish making dinner, and then we can cuddle after?" you proposed.
As Niki's sniffles gradually subsided, a tender smile graced his face, the corners of his eyes still dampened. Niki's smile widened as he looked down at you. "Of course," he agreed, his head tilting slightly. In that gentle tilt, he closed the distance, leaning in for a long, reassuring kiss.
Together, you continued with the meal, the kitchen filled with the comforting aroma of food and music. You showed Niki more songs you liked and he added them to y’all’s new slow dancing playlist.
As you placed the finishing touches on the meal, Niki slid his arms around you, pulling you into a warm embrace. "Smells amazing in here, thank you for helping me darling.”
The conversation during dinner went smoothly. You both talked about stories of the past and dreams for the future. Niki's eyes, still holding a glimmer of tenderness, locked onto yours, reinforcing the unspoken understanding that this moment, amidst shared laughter and a table filled with love, was truly special.
Cuddling on the couch, the outside world faded away, leaving room for the intimacy of shared comfort. “You’re so pretty y/n” Niki admired your facial features. The smell of his fresh Basil and mandarin cologne brought you comfort. You threw your leg over his and snuggled closer onto him. He could feel your soft breaths on his neck. Niki peppered kisses on your temples. He was humming a gentle tune to one of your favorite songs. The moment made you realize how lucky you were to be with someone like him.

❤️Tall Fem! Tav x Astarion Headcanons❤️
So— Tall Fem!Tavs— we need more love and I am going to attempt to play with the idea because in fandom spaces I only ever see fem Tavs that are shorter than Astarion and it makes my tall self’s heart ache.
I also know in game it doesn’t matter if your Tav is taller than Astarion…. But like what if it did— 👀
I am going to keep this as racially, background, and class ambiguous as possible however it is very clear the short races like halflings, dwarves, and gnomes this is most certainly not applicable to. I love them, don’t get me wrong, but this is for us 🤌😌
So on that note physically this Tav is tall, muscular, and probably a lil physically intimidating— and like almost every character I write is of Chaotic Good alignment. Tav is a big, sweet, mischievous muscle mommy with big hands—
This is my first time doing a post like this so please be gracious. I did my best to keep this in character for Astarion, while also sweet and mostly focused on his POV.
Tumblr media
Being taller than most of your companions wasn’t a bad thing exactly, just a thing. You had outgrown many of your peers ages ago and while it had embarrassed you for a long time, you eventually embraced it. The stares of others became empowering instead of making you try to shrink yourself in any way you could. However this did not save you from being nabbed by mind flayers and infected— damn. It also surprised you when an elf shorter than you managed to catch you by surprise and hold a knife to your throat.
I don’t think Astarion is the type to be insecure regarding his height, man’s petty enough to climb the counters to the top shelf if he damn well feels like it. However upon meeting a female Tav who’s taller than him, stronger than him, he is ever so slightly worried. It makes him want to spur his plan of manipulation for protection into action quickly. Only because he doesn’t want to run the risk of getting snapped like a toothpick—
On that note, watching you fight absolutely does something to this man. Being able to see your muscles all the way from his perch on the other side of the battlefield is certainly something he can appreciate. He can absolutely admit that you are fine af, especially covered in blood.
At first he would be annoyed if you did things like pat him on the head with your huge hands- after all he puts a lot of work into his hair that he can’t see— but comes to realize it’s your way of gentle support. And he supposes it’s better than other things… Eventually he grows to love you resting your big hands on his head or shoulders. And even further down the line holding your hand, his slender fingers tangled in yours.
When this man chooses to try and bite you in your sleep it is absolutely out of sheer desperation because he is terrified of those arms staking him. But when you accept what he is without any real complaint.. he is pleasantly surprised. He likes you’ve got a good heart in that big chest of yours.
When he gets downed in a fight and wakes up to find himself in your arms being carried back to camp OH BOY that might be the first moment he realizes he’s in trouble.
The next time is absolutely the morning after the tiefling party. He wakes up at the crack of dawn snuggled into your tiddies— and as the old meme states “World hard and cold, tiddy soft and warm”. If he weren’t so excited to bask in the sun he would have stayed there all morning. Post confession it is his favorite way to cuddle.
He believes your arms are the safest place to be, and he is probably right. Being held by you makes him feel like he is surrounded in warmth, and if he sleeps there he usually has less nightmares. Drinking your blood with your arms wrapped around him is genuinely sweet and euphoric for this man.
❤️⚜️❤️⚜️❤️⚜️❤️⚜️❤️⚜️❤️
~ ❤️18+ HEADCANONS BELOW❤️~
He also enjoys the two of you just snuggling and admiring one another’s appearances, it’s intimate, and it feels right. He loves being able to take his time tracing his hands everywhere on your larger body, finding the places that make you laugh and squirm for him.
He also doesn’t mind a little manhandling if it’s from you, because he knows despite your size you will happily let him move you where he wants or stop if he’s no longer comfortable.
Back at the tiefling party he let you top, and while he does enjoy that, he enjoys it just as much if not more when he does. He enjoys getting to look down at you, and see you come undone at his touch. Call it vanilla, but this man loves being able to watch your face during sex, being able to look into your eyes is a BIG thing for this man.

How would Shadowheart and Tav react if they got caught while doing the deed by Shadowheart’s parents? Or by the companions before they settled down?
Haha I knew this was coming at some point!
Getting Caught by Emmeline and Arnell:
It's the end of the world for Tav! It's worse than the Netherbrain, it's worse than that one time she literally died and came back. She probably instantly starts like...apologizing lmao.
"I'm sorry, we weren't...I would never...she fell onto me!"
Like a teenager caught red-handed with their (not so) innocent daughter (who is at least 40 lmao). It's just how she was brought up. She scrambles to cover them both bc ✨chivalry✨, but internally she's just dyingggg. Can't look at Arnell and Emmeline in the eye for a while after.
Tav is dramatic af afterwards:
"My honor is forever ruined"
"...Tav, we're betrothed."
Emmeline surprises them all at supper by making an offhanded comment about Hallowleaf women and their insatiable desires, and how she and Arnell were just the same, in their youth. I like to think everyone at that table comes away equally mortified, except for Emmeline, who just shrugs and eats her bread roll bc it's the truth. Arnell probs used to lay it down 🤷🏻‍♀️ Shadowheart got there somehow, right?
As for Shart's reaction:
Shadowheart is mostly: 1. annoyed at the interruption (things were just getting good and she has needs) 2. amused by Tav's reaction. It's funny! She's grown. They're her parents. They love Tav. They aren't clueless and frankly, they've probably seen worse from their time in captivity. She probably reacts faster than Tav. I think life in the cloister made Shadowheart a little more relaxed about these things. Tav was always taught to save face and project the best possible image. While she did leave home, she was around 19 so these lessons probably stuck.
At Camp:
Look, it's canon that Shart is always down™️ (source: "Oh, has the mood struck you, love? I suppose we could try, if you think the others won't stir...")
I'd say the camp has heard them "building sandcastles" quite a few times. They usually try to put some distance between themselves and camp- but sometimes they end up getting intimate right there in Shadowheart's tent. What the camp can't hear, they can probably see in silhouettes against the tent, if Shadowheart doesn't cast darkness.
And lbr, their companions have probably gotten an eyeful on one of the evenings where they're having a camp party. Shadowheart was cooler with being something of an exhibitionist in the past, but Tav is so soft and intimate that it's different, now. She wants Tav's love and affection all to herself, away from prying eyes. Their love (and really, that is the key factor here, it's not just sex) is for them, and them only.
If some unfortunate soul were to happen upon them like that, interrupting their private time together, I think they might be on the receiving end of one of Shadowheart's death glares and some choice words.

Dynasty of Flames
Aemond Targaryen x Targaryen-Royce Reader
Summary: Being born into the most respected and equally feared houses in the realm made people look up to you as if you were a god and the devil himself, in equal measure. People say that when a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin; and when news of the birth of Daemon’s firstborn- a girl, spread, people could only wait in anticipation to see which side of the coin faced up during her birth.
Aemond being uptight af and Aegon being the most adorable wingman. Some lighthearted sibling banter??
Warnings: Incest (duh), swearing.

When night came and supper was over and done with, Aegon visited Aemond's chamber's before he could make himself scarce and busy himself with his nightly endeavours into the city. Aegon and his younger brother had never been close as children but after the loss of Aemond's eye, the older boy had become a touch closer to him. They wouldn’t say they were the best of friends; but they were brothers, bound by blood and they seemed to have developed a certain understanding of being there to aid the other if there ever was a need for it.
"Brother!" Aegon pushed opened the door and waltzed in, not bothering to knock. He'd formed quite a habit of doing this; It was a habit that Aemond found most annoying.
"I truly appreciate you knocking and awaiting my permission for you to enter" the younger boy nonchalantly spoke, not lifting his gaze from his book. Aemond was rather serious about his studies and was engrossed in penning down his thoughts about the histories of his ancestors to discuss with the maester during his next lesson.
"Our Y/N is back at court, and you are spending the evening with your nose stuck in these books instead of between her legs" Aegon plopped himself on the bed, avoiding the twisted look on Aemond's face as a reaction to his vulgarity "Tis not your face that makes you undesirable, it is your boring disposition"
Aemond heaved a sigh at his brother's subtle attempt at providing assurance that Aemond's condition did not contribute to him never being able to court someone. In all honesty, Aemond knew his appearance made him frightening, the cruel whispers and harsh rumours were not a secret to him; Yet, he did not argue with Aegon over it, he wasn’t in the mood to do so.
"Don't you have some catching up to do in your lessons of High Valyrian?" Aemond raised a brow, maintaining his stoic expression. Aegon simply scoffed in response.
"That is not the matter of importance" he added "Helaena and I had supper along with Y/N, she mentioned your disinterest in her arrival"
"That is far from the truth" it was Aemond now who scoffed "I am rather pleased to be reacquainted with her"
"And how have you made it evident?"
"Pardon?"
"How have you shown her that you are joyous to have her back at your side?" Aegon repeated "from what I've heard, you barely uttered two words at a time. If this is how you think you are going to win over a lady, I'm afraid you will die alone like-"
"Win over? I'm not trying to compete with anyone for her hand" Aemond made a face, interrupting Aegon's rant.
"That's exactly what I'm saying brother, you aren’t trying" Aegon face palmed "Do you want to be the bloke applauding with the rest of the crowds when she kisses her husband in the sept? No, exactly"
Aemond raised a brow when his brother did not even let him answer that question. The younger prince had never thought much about the prospect of marrying her because he felt it was an obvious occurrence. Aegon had taken Helaena as wife and Aemond would take Y/N. Even after the fight with Jace and Luke, he did not seem to have doubts about it; Who else would a dragon, like herself, take to husband? He had never taken any romantic interest toward her, it was simply his knowledge of what duties he would have to perform; including a marriage to the princess Y/N, who fortunately was also his close companion.
"I do not have to worry about it" Aemond once again turned toward his books, dipping his quill into the tiny glass pot of ink "though not formally announced, Y/N is going to be betrothed to me-"
"Is that why you are so negligent? Gods there is no guarantee of your betrothal to her. And we both know Y/N wishes to find a loving match, not some noble who is obligated to marry her" Aegon was disappointed that Aemond was taking this opportunity of her return to court for granted based on some baseless assumption.
"Yes I do recall her mentioning her long list of requirements if she were to wed anyone but that was when we were children" Aemond reminded with a stern tone "the reality is that we have no say in who we marry. It is a duty and I'm sure a smart lady such as herself, is not still blinded by her childish delusions"
"Then need I break you out of your delusions that have you believing that you are the only eligible candidate for her hand?" the older boy snapped "There is Cregan Stark, Willem Blackwood, Dalton Greyjoy. should I go on?"
"Why does it bother you so?" Aemond was a touch annoyed at the mention of other lords who Aegon had claimed to have an equal chance at wedding Y/N "what if I do not care if I wed her or not"
Lies. Aemond did not understand why he was aggravated by the thought of someone else taking Y/N as wife, but nonetheless, he was clenching his jaw with annoyance.
"You do not fool me" Aegon chuckled "You may have even managed to trick yourself into thinking that you no not care for Y/N but I can see, clear as day, that you fancy her"
"Fuck off" Aemond unintentionally pressed the quill rather harshly against the parchment, causing it to snap and leave an ugly inkblot "look what you just did!"
"Me?" Aegon cried out defensivly "the quill is in your hand you twat!"
"Get out" Aemond snapped. He was rather particular about his notes and did not like even a hint of untidinesses within the pages of his book.
"Gladly, you aren’t exactly a joy to talk to anyway" Aegon childishly stuck out his tongue and Aemond reacted to it by ripping out the page with the inkblot, crumpling it and throwing it straight at his older brother "Oh and if you’re done sulking at the sincerity of my words, be a good friend and meet Y/N in the library like you promised"
Aemond tilted his head in confusion.
"I never promised her anything"
"Well I did, on your behalf" Aegon beamed proudly "oh don’t give me that look. You are going to that library and spending the evening with her"
Aemond rolled his eye. He shut his book, rather aggressively before he rose from his chair and Aegon too immediately stood up.
"Out" Aemond once again commanded.
"Out" Aegon mimicked him and quickly rushed out the door before Aemond could throw something else at him; and by the look Aemond gave him, it most certainly wouldn’t be something as light as a crumpled ball of paper.
Tumblr media
Aemond was surprised to find the library rather dimply lit as opposed to how bright it used to be around this hour. Furthermore, it was quiet, except for the sound of the fire crackling in the fireplace and the distant sound of light footsteps.
Aemond cleared his throat before he walked past some shelves, in hopes of finding where Y/N might be. He wanted to call out her name, or perhaps in this case, address her formally by her title since they were in the presence of others as well but he did not act on it. He did not want to disturb any of the other maesters who were reading though he was a bit unsure as to why they did not light all the candles in the room and instead left the place looking borderline dark.
"Aemond"
The boy turned toward the direction from which the voice came and saw Y/N's head peaking out from behind one of the many and large shelves. Aemond held his hands behind his back as he took took long strides toward her.
"How nice of you to agree to see me princess" He gave her a curt nod "I take it Aegon told you?"
"I know you did not ask for me to come see you here at this hour and that it was Aegon who set this up" the girl chuckled and Aemond gazed at her inquisitively "From what I've gathered through your letters you'd written to me all these years, you do not like visiting the library after supper since it is the time most of the maesters are found here, reading some old scrolls"
Aemond grinned at her sharpness and he felt a warm feeling in his chest at the thought of her remembering such a small detail about him that he had maybe mention barely once or twice ages ago.
"Speaking of, the library does seem rather vacant" He mentioned. It was quiet and if there were any maesters present, they most certainly did not shush the princess and the loudness of her voice.
"Because it is" she smiled up at him "I know you like reading in the library only when it is empty. So, I requested for the maesters to leave the library to myself for the evening. I am sure you will hear them muttering swears directed at me on the morrow"
Like hell they will, Aemond thought. He was rather protective of her and it was no secret that the prince did not tolerate any ill words against the princess. The whispers surrounding himself he could withstand but a word against his childhood friend and he would immediately snap.
"So, you wish to read?" he asked and Y/N almost giggled at how uptight and awkward he seemed.
"If we aren’t going to talk, I suppose reading is what we could settle for instead" she turned around to reach up and grab one of the books from the shelves, a book she was eyeing only moments before she caught sight of Aemond.
The prince walked closer and tried to help grab the book for her instead, failing to foresee the position in which he would entrap her. As he stretched him arm toward the high shelf, he leaned forward and his body pressed up against Y/N's back, his fingers gently grazing her's before her hand dropped. She turned slightly and the tip of her nose brushed against his jaw. Aemond suddenly was aware of how close they both were and he just froze, his one arm, still outstretched and now gripping at the wooden shelf-board.
"You've barely spoken to me the whole time I've been here" Y/N blurted out, her voice almost a whisper "what's changed?"
"So much" Aemond replied with a slight nod of his head, still quite unable to move.
Y/N scoffed at him when he once again responded to her with a vague choice and limited amount of words.
"I won't be here at the keep forever, Aemond" she looked up at him, not fully turning around; not at all caring that their bodies were still pressed together "all those instances of you writing to me that you miss me, it means nothing when you make it so obvious that you never did. I do not want you writing to me all over again about how you long for my company at court when you make no effort to converse while I am here. Do not complain to me later when you find out you missed your chance"
"Missed my chance?" Aemond asked.
"Once I am betrothed, you can’t-"
"We are to be betrothed" the prince stated as a matter-of-factly.
"When was this decided?" the girl scoffed again as she looked up at him in utter confusion "you have never asked for permission to court me let alone asking for my hand"
"I did not have to ask" he responded in the same tone as before "It is common knowledge that I would take you as my wife"
"Did you just assume we would be wed indefinitely? Did it never occur to you that our families are not the closest" Y/N snapped at him "and furthermore did you think I would agree to wed someone who doesn’t seem to want to so much as talk to his betrothed?"
"You would marry someone based on the number of words they speak to you instead of the happy life they would give you? Perhaps you ought to marry a parrot then" Aemond rolled his eye, trying his best to not sound rude but he knew he sounded nothing too nice when he said that "forgive me, I did not intend to offend but you must know that marriage is a duty-"
"Oh so you would marry me solely out of duty" Y/N chuckled mockingly. She most certainly did not like the way Aemond was describing his reasoning behind a possible marriage to her "let me save you the trouble. I do not want to marry a man who thinks he's merely fulfilling some obligation by taking me as his wife. There, now you need not be so cold toward me. I formally free you from your 'duty' of having to wed me, if that was ever even discussed in secret and kept from me"
And with that, Y/N pushed him away and stormed out. She did not hate the notion of marrying Aemond, he was of course her closest friend when they were little. And over the years, she thought they were still close since they wrote to each other a lot. But now that Aemond told her that marriage is a duty, she concluded that the only reason behind his frequent letters was only to form a marriage alliance. She wondered if Rhaenyra and her kepa were aware of this supposed notion of the both of them being betrothed, though she mildly doubted it given the tension between both their families. Yet, if it was something discussed, maybe to form some sort of peace between both parties, she would be very upset that no one bothered telling her.
Meanwhile Aemond grunted in annoyance and slammed his fist down on the wooden surface. He did not mean to sound so rude. He did miss her and did want to talk to her like how they used to as kids but over the years he had turned into this rather closed-off person who never spoke too much and when he did, his tone was always icy and sharp. He also regretted bringing up the topic of marriage since he knew it was never officially discussed and it was solely based on his assumptions.
Heaving a long sigh, he retreated to his own chambers. He wanted to go after Y/N and apologies but he knew he would only mess things up further. So instead, he decided to resort to writing her an apology. Aemond was rather good with words when it came to penning them down instead of having to say them aloud.
He knew if he did not fix this now, he could forget ever receiving any letters from her when she would depart beck to Dragonstone.
Grabbing a new quill from the drawer at his desk, he began to write:
"Ñuha dōna Y/N..."
"My sweet Y/N..."

Can You Take a Crocodile to Prom
Summary: You didn't know NRC had a prom OR that it was tonight ! With the help of Ace and Deuce, you are able to find a date. But how easy is it to take a crocodile to prom?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WC: 8169 Tags: gn!reader, Sebek x reader, fluff, one shot (maybe?), Sebek is your prom date, he is very awkward because he doesn't know how to person but he is down bad, also there is two options for your outfit for the night (live your best life and choose either one), sorry it is long af, I barely proof read this so don't shoot me if you find something wrong © please do not copy and or repost my work as your own, my brain is massive and these are my thoughts.
You stared at the flier hanging on the bulletin board in the hallway. Ace and Deuce, your usual companions, were hovering behind you as you read. “Night Raven College Prom, Details as follows,” you began to read. “See, I told you we had a prom. This thing has been posted for weeks, how did you not know?” Ace teased. If it had been posted for that long, why was this the first you had heard of it. “I thought you knew already or I would’ve told you. I’m sorry, Y/N,” Deuce said disappointedly.
“Deuce, don’t beat yourself up about it. I don’t know how I missed this, but I want to go. I didn’t go to prom in my own world, and I’ll be damned if I miss it here too,” you said in a determined tone. “Yeah, that may be, but how are you going to find a date on the day of the prom?” Ace chuckled. You turned around and looked at them both back and forth. “You mean both of you already have a date?” you said shocked. The two boys looked at each other and then back to you, shrugging their shoulders and nodding yes.
“This cannot be happening,” you said as you brought your hand up to your forehead. You sat there thinking to yourself, who can you ask to be your date? There had to be someone who still didn’t have a date. “Do either of you know someone… who doesn’t have a date?” you asked. “You can go alone, y’know. You don’t have to have a date,” Ace said smugly. You narrowed your eyes at him, why would anyone want to go to prom alone. Before Ace could say anything else, Deuce chimed in. “I don’t know anyone off the top of my head, but I can ask around and see,” he said assuringly. Deuce was always more reliable than Ace was. Sometimes it just felt like Ace was only there to make your days harder, but you cherished your friendship with him nonetheless.
[later in the cafeteria]
You were taking bites of your food as you went over your history of magic of notes. Ace plopped his tray on the table at the seat across from you. He was so obnoxious, you thought to yourself as you looked up at him. “How is it you have a date to prom and I don’t,” you said sarcastically. Ace huffed at your question. “Maybe because anyone would be lucky to have this, do you know how many offers I got? I was beating them all off with a stick,” he said, throwing some of his tater tots into his mouth.
“You are so annoying. I hope you know that,” you said as you went back to studying your notes. A few minutes later, you sensed someone else sitting beside you. You turned around to see it was Deuce. Ace and Deuce were your closest friends at NRC, being by your side since the beginning. It was nice knowing you had people in your corner in Twisted Wonderland, sometimes it made you lonely when you thought about going back to your home world. You would miss these two idiots dearly.
“So, I found someone who doesn’t have a date. But I don’t know how well it’d go asking…” Deuce leaned over and whispered to you. Ace was trying to listen, being nosy as ever. “Hey, don’t keep secrets. What’re you saying asshat?” Ace said aggressively. Deuce rolled his eyes looking at you before he turned to Ace. “I said, I found someone who doesn’t have a date that Y/N can ask to prom,” he said. “Okay, so who is it? Y/N can go ask now before it’s too late,” Ace said, giving you a smirk and a wink.
“That’s the thing.. I don’t know how well the response will be, with uh…. Y/N being human and all,” Deuce started to say. Ace realized what he meant by this- his eyes widening as he just continued to eat his food and looked down. You were still left in the dark, not knowing who the mysterious potential date could be. You closed your notebook, impatiently sighing as you turned back to Deuce. “Who? I have to ask. It’s now or never,” you said sternly.
Deuce turned your head slowly, placing your gaze on a table across the cafeteria. He leaned closer to your shoulder to better show you just who it was you’d have to ask. He pointed, his finger directed at the mint green haired, loud mouthed Diasomnia student, Sebek Zigvolt. “You’re telling me…. Sebek is the only one without a date?” you said quietly. Part of you was confused, he was very handsome so why would no one ask him. “Well, he’s had offers. But apparently no one meets his standards,” Deuce said reluctantly. “He means none of the ones offering were Malleus,” Ace said with a laugh.
“And I’m supposed to ask him to be my date? I’m no Malleus either,” you said looking at them both. Ace shrugged his shoulders. Deuce put his arm on your shoulder. “Yeah, that’s the problem. I don’t think he’s going to say yes, but it’s your only option,” Deuce sighed. You looked back at the table across the room. Sebek was sitting with other people in his dorm, Lilia and Silver sitting across from him at their table. Malleus must’ve had something else he needed to attend to, you assumed.
You looked back at Deuce and then at Ace, preparing yourself for what would inevitably be rejection. But it was worth a shot, you wanted to go to the prom. “I’m going in. If I come back crying, just know I went out trying,” you said as you got up from the table and walked towards Sebek’s. You could feel Ace and Deuce’s eyes trailing your every step, they were going to watch this show happen for the live entertainment. How annoying.
You tried to figure out how you were going to ask, but realistically, you knew Sebek wouldn’t pick up on subtle hints so it would be best to just flat out ask. Lilia nudged Silver as you approached their table, another group of eyes staring into your soul. You cleared your throat, hoping it would get Sebek’s attention. It did. He looked up from his tray, the typical scowl across his face.
“Sebek,” you said, taking an inhale afterwards. “Do you have a date to the prom tonight?” Sebek straightened himself up, fixing his posture and his dorm uniform. “No, I do not,” he said, staring at you. You could see Lilia and Silver looking at you and then Sebek, making Sebek glance at them while you spoke. “Would you like to be my date?” you asked. Your tone seemed rushed, like you were trying to say the words fast enough before you lost your confidence.
Without missing a beat, Sebek looked at you and gave you an answer. “Yes” was all he said. You were confused, not expecting him to actually say yes. “Okay,” you said, standing there awkwardly. “Okay,” he said, staring back with his yellow green eyes. You weren’t sure what else to say, you hadn’t thought you’d get this far. Lilia broke the silence for you both. “He will pick you up tonight at 7,” he said, smiling at you and then giving Sebek a grin.
“Okay, then I will see you at 7,” you said shyly to Sebek. “Yes, precisely at 7. I will be at Ramshackle,” he said and then went back to eating. You looked around awkwardly, unsure what more to even say. You turned quickly and walked back to your seat, sitting down and putting your head in your arms. “Oh god, he made you cry?! Should’ve known,” Ace said, scoffing and looking towards Sebek. Deuce put his hand on your back and looked angrily across the room. “I bet I can beat his ass. Y/N, do you want me to fight him? I told my mom I wouldn’t, but I think she would understand if I did this time,” he said, you could hear the protectiveness in his voice.
You raised your head up from the table, your face was hot from the awkwardness but you were actually giddy from Sebek’s response. “Oh my god, your face is redder than Ace’s hair!” Deuce said as he stood up from the table. He looked at Ace. “We should give him a piece of our mind, let him know how fucking rude he is,” Deuce said as Ace nodded in agreement.
“Guys, WAIT!” you exclaimed. They both stopped themselves and looked at you confused. “So you, don’t want us .. to beat his ass?” Ace asked. They were both absolutely clueless, how did they make it through college this long. “No, he said yes,” you said coyly. You could hear the gasp coming from both of them as they sat back down in their seats. “I’m sorry, did you just say Sebek, the fucking angry green giant, the dude who literally hates almost everyone but his precious Wakasama- he said yes?! To you?!” Ace said shocked.
You kicked him from under the table. “What do you mean to you? Don’t say it like that, you make it sound like I have no game. You’re the one who ghosts your girlfriends, how the hell did someone say yes to you?!” you said narrowing your eyes at him and frowning. Deuce put his hands up between you two as if to separate you from each other. “Okay relax, both of you. I’m still wondering how someone said yes to Ace, too. But that is not what matters right now,” Deuce started to say. “What matters is you have a date for tonight, so now you get to go do the prom with us. I’m a little shocked it was with Sebek, but maybe he’s desperate to go too.”
Something about that last part he said made you want to kick him under the table too, but you know he wasn’t trying to be mean when he said it so you refrained. “I feel like this is all so sudden, what am I supposed to do for an outfit? Like do you guys dress up in tuxedos and vests like they do in my work?” you asked them both. “Yeah, usually that’s how it works. Like I’m wearing a suit, but my date is wearing a dress. You can wear a dress or suit, whatever you’re more comfortable in,” Ace said. “Okay, that gives me options then. Where the hell do I go to buy stuff here anyway? Is there a store just for prom clothes or what?” you said, pulling out your phone to Google.
“Not exactly, and especially day of prom you won’t find much at the stores. But I think I know a way around it,” Deuce said. “Okay, go on,” you said, turning to him. “So when I had to get my tux, I was talking to Jack about it,” he started to say. You nodded as you listened, you could see Ace across the table was all ears as well. “So Jack told me that Epel told him that Vil had a few things in his closet he would lend out if someone needed, kinda like a charity deal.”
“Interesting, so you’re saying Vil may have something I can buy or use for the night?” you asked. “More than likely, worth a shot in asking. You’re already 1/1 right now, may as well keep it going,” Deuce laughed. Ace chuckled from his side of the table. “He’s right. Maybe you’re secretly super lucky and the night is gonna end up being a weird fairytale fantasy with the crocodile man,” Ace chimed in. “Ace, don’t make me kick you again,” you said teasingly. You put your notebook back in your bag so you could make your way to the Pomefiore dorm to ask Vil for help on an outfit. Hopefully, he would understand and not give you too much grief over it being last minute. “I will see you two boys later, I have stuff to do,” you quickly said as you picked up your things and left. You could hear Ace and Deuce start to chatter as you walked away.
[after you left Sebek’s table]
Silver’s eyes followed the Prefect back to their table and watched as they put their head on it. “Maybe you should’ve said more than a few words, Sebek. Now look at them,” Silver said, gesturing to the other table. Sebek looked over, his scowl expression turning to one of confusion and concern. “Should I go over and apologize? I’m not really sure what I did wrong. I accepted the invite as their date, what more was I supposed to do?” he asked, looking at Lilia. He held Lilia’s words to a higher standard than Silver’s. In his mind, Lilia knew everything there was to know about the world and its experiences.
“Well, you didn’t do anything wrong, but Silver is right. You could’ve said more than just a few words. You’ll have to make that up to them later,” Lilia said, giving him a look. “What is that look for, Lilia-sama? How do I make it up to them?” he asked genuinely. Silver laughed at how oblivious Sebek was when it came to relationships and courting. “Maybe you can buy them flowers,” Silver suggested. Lilia nodded in agreement. “I think that’s a wonderful idea. Sebek, buy them flowers and give them to them when you pick them up later. Okay?” Lilia said. Sebek put his eating utensils down harshly. “Lilia-sama, I don’t know what to even ask for at a floral shop. What should I ask for? Surely you have an idea of what would be fitting to the situation,” Sebek said as he took his phone out and opened his notes app.
“Ahh, my dear knight, you would be correct. Let’s see. I think there are a few that would be appropriate for the night. Dahlias,” he started to say as Sebek typed on his phone. “Dahlias represent innocence.” Sebek hiccupped in typing as his gaze looked up to meet Lilia’s. He cleared his throat as he started typing again. “Okay, dahlias. What else?” Lilia chuckled under his breath, seeing Sebek get flustered was an entertaining sight. “Next, would be carnations. Do you know what those represent, Sebek?” Again, Sebek stopped typing to look up at Lilia. “No, Lilia-sama. What do they represent?” he asked reluctantly. Lilia grinned smugly. “They represent pure love.”
Sebek’s face was getting hot. “Lilia-sama, are you suggesting that I love… the prefect?” he choked out. Silver laughed and took a sip of his drink. “Why did you agree to go with them? You’ve said no to everyone else, so why the prefect?” Silver asked. Sebek shot silver a look and narrowed his eyes. “There was no particular reason I agreed to go. I just agreed to it to please them,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest. “Father, go on with your list please,” Silver said, ignoring Sebek’s attitude. “Ah yes, of course. So we have dahlias and carnations, next would be- pims. They represent loyalty-” he started to say. “Well, I am a very loyal guard to Wakasama. This flower is very appropriate,” Sebek said, smiling as he typed.
“I wasn’t done. They represent loyalty and devoted love,” Lilia chuckled. Sebek looked up again, a blank expression on his face. “Anything else?” he asked. “Yes, one more. You should ask for baby’s breath. It would look lovely with the other flowers,” Lilia sang. Sebek typed it out on his phone, pausing to hear Lilia’s explanation as to what it meant but there was nothing more he said. “At least one of these flowers is normal,” Sebek said as he turned his phone screen off and sat it on the table. “Oh, no. The baby’s breath represents everlasting love,” Lilia said with another chuckle. “MM, Father, don’t forget the hyacinths. Sebek’s arrangement would be good with those,” Silver suggested. “Ahh, you are correct. That would be a fine addition to the bouquet. Sebek, write that one down as well,” Lilia instructed. Sebek gave a long exhale before picking up his phone and adding it to the list. “Do I want to ask what it means?” he said. “Probably best you didn’t,” Silver laughed.
“Alright. Dahlias, carnations, pims, baby’s breath, and hyacinths. I have the list. I shall go and get this order placed so that it is ready for tonight,” Sebek said, standing up from the table and putting his phone in his pocket. “Yes, please remember to go to the dorm afterwards. We will have a tux waiting for you,” Lilia hummed. “Ah, Sebek, one more thing before you go.” Sebek turned back to Lilia. “Yes, Lilia-sama? What is it?” he asked. “Make sure this night is a wonderful night for the Prefect. I expect you to be on your best behavior,” he said sternly. Sebek nodded with understanding before leaving the cafeteria to go to the florist.
[at Pomefiore Dorm]
“I know, I know. I’m stupid, I just didn’t even know it was tonight. I literally had tweedle dee and tweedle dumb show me the stupid flier because I didn’t believe them,” you pleaded, hoping Vil would understand and show you some type of mercy and help. “Hmph, I suppose it would be kind of me to help you with your night. Seeing as you miraculously were able to land a beau for the night, who am I to leave you in such a predicament?” he teased. You were on your knees, literally begging Vil for his help. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” you sang. “I could sing your praises all day, Vil. I’ll do anything to make up for it being so last minute,” you assured him.
“No, no. You said you didn’t get to go to your own prom in your world? I do have one, okay maybe two, stipulations,” he said, placing his finger on his lips. “Anything, Vil, you name it,” you said. “One: you will not ruin the outfit you choose and it will be brought back after being professionally dry cleaned. I will not allow you to bring it back to me dirty or mutilated in any way,” he stated, holding up his index finger. You nodded as you listened, a clear sign you would abide by his stipulations. “Two: have a good time, enjoy it. Prom is supposed to be a magical night. I won’t allow you to wear one of my outfits and soil its charm by having a bad night,” he said, holding up another finger. “Okay, maybe three stipulations. If anyone asks where your outfit is from, you will gleefully exclaim that I was able to provide you with such wonderful attire for the night. Does this sound doable?” he said, waiting for your reply. “Yes! I can do all of that, thank you again, Vil,” you said, getting up and grabbing his hand.
Vil swiftly turned from you and walked to his closet. “I will give you two options for the night. Do you know what color tuxedo your beau is going to wear?” he asked as he stared into his closet, looking at all the available options. “To be honest, … no, I don’t,” you said reluctantly. Vil whipped his head around, his eyes wide at your answer. “You came to get an outfit, but have no idea the colors to match with?” he laughed. “Yeah… I did,” you said disappointedly. Vil sucked his teeth. “Then we shall pick something that will go with anything he decides to wear. I have the perfect attire for you to wear. Wait here,” he said as he closed his closet door and went into the next room.
In a few minutes, Vil came back with two dress bags, laid them across his bed, and unzipped them for you to view. “I think either of these would be a wonderful option for tonight, don’t you think, Prefect?” he said. One of the bags contained a black suit with light, pale green embroidered design on it. The design was not “eye popping”, it was very subtle, but not subtle enough to where it wasn’t noticeable. You ran your hand along it, feeling the material it was made out of. It felt expensive, why would Vil let you borrow something this nice? Your eyes wandered to the other bag. It had a long dress in it that was ombré black at the top and then transitioned to a vibrant minty green color along the dress’ bottom. The dress also had a subtle design on it, it was very similar to the suit. It was like they were made together. Running your hand along the dress, you realized it had a slit on it. “How high does the slit go up the leg?” you asked, looking at Vil. “I believe it goes up to the thigh, maybe right above the knee if I remember correctly,” he said.
You looked at both bags, trying to decide which one you would prefer for the night. Either one would look amazing, it was just a shame you didn’t know what Sebek would be wearing. “I think I will take this one, Vil,” you said, picking up the bag with your chosen outfit for the night. “Fantastic choice, let me see if I can get you shoes to wear with it as well,” he hummed as he went back to his closet. You appreciated Vil’s help more than he knew. You still didn’t understand why he was so willing to help, but you didn’t want to ask any questions about that now. Vil came back and handed you a pair of shoes. “Looking at your feet, these shoes fit fine. Enjoy your night,” he said as you took the shoes from him.
[Ramshackle dorm- 7pm]
You were pacing in the living room, wearing the floorboards out more than they already were as you waited. You checked the clock, 7pm on the dot. Before you could even take another breath, you heard knocking on your door. It was a uniform knock, very clearly the one of someone who sought out nothing less than perfection. You could see through your door’s peephole your guest outside. Sebek was at your door, dressed to the nines. He looked stunning in his tux. The white suit complemented nicely by the mint green accents on it. Almost as soon as you fully opened the door, he was offering you a bouquet. “These are for you, I hope they contribute in making the night a special one,” he said as you took the bouquet. It was full of flowers of all types. The dahlias, carnations, pims, hyacinths, baby’s breath- all in white, created a beautiful bouquet.
“Sebek, these are gorgeous?! I didn’t think you would get me flowers, this was so short notice. Thank you,” you said, staring at the flowers, touching them lightly to feel the silky petals. Sebek scoffed as he put his arms behind his back and looked off into the distance past the side of the dorm. “What type of date would I be if I lacked manners? Lilia has made it quite clear it is my duty as your date to the prom to make this a splendid night for you. I refuse for it to be anything less than what you dreamt it would be,” he said in a matter of fact tone. “I would also like to take this chance to say that I think you look exquisite tonight, truly a pleasure to be able to accompany you tonight.”
“Wow, Sebek. That’s pretty sweet of you,” you said as you turned to put the bouquet inside. “Give me one second.” Sebek waited for you by the door. You came back to him with one of the smaller carnation flowers in your hand. “Can I put this on your tux? I think it would look really nice,” you said smiling up at him. Sebek, seeing the flower you picked, avoided eye contact with you. “Yes, do as you please,” he said. You pinned the small flower on his tux and looked up at him. “Thank you for agreeing to go with me tonight, it means a lot to me. Especially since we don’t really know each other,” you said sweetly.
Sebek looked down at you, your eyes glimmering in the moonlight. For a moment, the loud man was at a loss for words with the sight before his eyes. “Ah, yes,” he said, clearing his throat. “I hope that I am a satisfactory date for the night.” He held out his elbow for you to wrap your arm through it as you two walked. “Sebek, is that a.. carriage?” you asked, looking at the black and green carriage waiting on the dirt path in front of you. “Absolutely,” he said proudly. “I told you I intended to make this night memorable. I assume you’ve never been treated like royalty before. As a knight, I think I know how to accommodate for this,” he said as he helped you into the carriage before climbing in beside you. “Where in the world did you even get this?” you laughed. “No, I’ve never been in a carriage before, so this is a first.”
“I’m glad I can be your first then,” he responded not a second later. You gave him a quick glance, his words coming off different than he probably intended. “Ahem,” he grunted as he shifted his eyes. “The Headmage was able to arrange this for me with the help of Master Lilia.” The two of you sat awkwardly for a bit before you broke the silence. “So, you had a lot of people ask you to prom, why’d you say yes to me, Sebek?” you asked shyly, fidgeting your fingers in your lap. Sebek looked at you with an expressionless face. “I didn’t want to go with them,” he said and then adjusted his suit to be neater. You nodded at his response. Did that mean he actually wanted to go with you? Was he waiting for you to ask the entire time?
You felt the carriage stop moving as you arrived at the prom venue. You oo’d and ah’d as you got out of the carriage, of course with Sebek’s help. There was no way he was going to let you get out by yourself, he had made that clear already. “Watch your step,” he warned as you took your step to the ground. “The prom had begun a while ago, but the activities should still be in order, Prefect,” he said as he offered you his elbow once more to hold onto. You took it with pleasure as he led you towards the venue. “That’s fine, as long as we get to have some fun tonight, that’s all that matters. Right, Sebek?” you laughed, lightly tugging at his arm. You could’ve sworn you saw him give a slight smile at your words, maybe he was warming up to you.
You two were walking together inside when Sebek saw Lilia and Silver by the front doors. You followed as he walked you up to them. “Lilia-sama, Silver. How are your evenings going?” he asked properly. “Ahh, Sebek, Y/N. You two finally made it, and look how nice you two look together,” Lilia purred. “I do hope Sebek is being a gentleman tonight-” “Yeah and not embarrassing our dorm, aaaa,” Silver said with a yawn. He looked at the watch on his wrist, probably wondering how much longer he had to stay before Lilia would let him leave. “I would never bring shame to our dorm,” Sebek scoffed. You patted the arm you were intertwined with using your free hand. “He has been quite the gentleman, I promise. He even brought me flowers. You should’ve seen them,” you boasted. You could tell Sebek was on fire from your words by how awkward he was being.
You rubbed his arm in hopes that it would help ease him, but it didn’t seem like that was really helping anything. “Oh, I am elated to hear you loved the flowers. It seems each one was individually picked for the occasion,” Lilia said grinning at Sebek. “Oh, is that so?” you laughed, looking up at Sebek. He wasn’t laughing, nor was he smiling. “Ah, yes. I guess we will see you guys inside,” you said, tugging Sebek’s arm to go inside. He gave a few glances at both Lilia and Silver before walking away. “I didn’t know there was that much thought into the flowers,” you said coyly. “Yes, well each one represents something more than just their physical appearance,” he muttered. “Though, I did have some assistance in choosing the right ones.”
Once inside, you saw Ace and Deuce near the tables of food. Deuce was the first to notice you two, subtly nudging Ace in the side to get him to look at you and your date. “Sebek, do you mind if I go talk to Ace and Deuce real quick?” you asked. “Of course, do as you please,” he said softly. Sebek had not been the loud mouth you thought he was the entire night. He was using a much softer, gentler tone with you. It was nice, but you knew no one would believe you if you told them. You walked over to Ace and Deuce. “Hey, I thought you two had dates for tonight,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest. “Did you really lie to me? You guys are so mean.”
Deuce put his arm on your shoulder. “Look, we didn’t do it to be mean. We just…,” he started to say before Ace cut him off. “We just thought you would be better suited for someone else” he said smugly. You huffed at his words. “You two are my closest friends. You set me up with Sebek? Really? What if he rejected me, then what?!” you quietly shouted at them. “Take it from us, he wasn’t going to reject you,” Deuce said as he leaned in and whispered in your ear. “Just trust us on this.” You glared at them both before walking back to Sebek. You wanted to ask Sebek about it but you were more angry at your friends than him, and with the way he was acting, it didn’t make any sense on why you should just “trust them” about him not rejecting you. You went back to Deuce’s theory of Sebek being desperate to go as well, that’s obviously what it was.
Sebek was waiting on the edge of the dance floor, he did not look excited at all to be there. Yes, he was so desperate to come to prom. “Sorry, I just wanted to chat with them for a second,” you said as you stood beside him. “That’s quite alright, you are welcome to spend your evening doing what you see is best,” he said with his arms behind his back. “Would you.. like to go dance?” you asked quietly looking up at the green haired boy. Sebek’s gaze shifted to you but he never lowered his head to look at you. “I am more fond of orchestral music than the current trending music. I apologize in advance, but if they do play something I prefer, I will surely take your hand for a dance.” You looked out to the floor, everyone was enjoying their night and dancing away.
“Would you like to sit down then, we can just hangout?” you suggested. “I would enjoy that,” he said as he took your hand and led you to one of the empty tables. You went to pull out the chair for yourself, but he immediately stopped you. “Allow me,” he said in a soft voice. You let him pull the chair out and push it towards the table after you took your seat. He took the spot beside you, adjusting his suit once again after sitting down. “It doesn’t have to be perfect, y’know?” you teased. He looked up at you confused. “If the night is made to be perfect, then that means everything must be perfect, including my suit, Prefect,” he said as he continued to straighten it. “Okay..,” you mumbled under your breath. Sebek was definitely particular.
“Is there anything you wish to talk about, Prefect?” Sebek asked after a few minutes of sitting in silence together. “Not anything like specific,” you said. The awkward silence was becoming your best friend at this rate. “Actually, Sebek,” you said as he locked eyes with you. “Is this your first date? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to,” you said. Sebek broke eye contact with you, avoiding it as he answered. This must be something he does when he gets flustered you thought to yourself, avoiding eye contact. “This would be considered my first date, yes. I don’t usually entertain the thought of going places with and spending my time with someone other than those in my respective dorm. Is this your first date?” he asked back. “No,” you said. “I’ve had boyfriends before in my home world, so I’ve been on a handful of dates before. Nothing super special though.”
“I see, that is very intriguing information,” Sebek said, nodding. “Yeah, I didn’t get to go to my prom back home because I was sick for like a week before it and still didn’t feel good the day of, so I had to cancel on my date,” you continued. “That is a shame, for the both of you. A shame that you weren’t able to attend your own prom, but also a shame for him that he wasn’t able to have you by his side at such an event. But alas, there is nothing that can be done though. I do hope that this night is all you hoped it would be,” he said as he grabbed your hand. You cocked your head to the side, confused on what he was doing as he got you up from your chair and led you towards the dance floor. “Would you be so kind as to dance with me?” he asked before walking onto the floor. You nodded slowly, his sudden urge to dance taking you by surprise.
As he led you to the floor, you heard the song that was playing. It was an orchestra piece, it was clear that is why he wanted to dance. You thought the song sounded familiar but couldn’t quite figure out where you had heard it from. Sebek led you in your dance, you did your best to follow. “Sorry, Sebek, I’m not the best at formal dances,” you said as he spun you around. “It’s fine, just follow my lead, Prefect. You’re doing fine,” he said. As the song continued you could sense eyes on you both from around the room, but dancing with Sebek felt so harmonious that you couldn’t be bothered. As the string instruments went into their final number, Sebek dipped you, slowly bringing you back up and the music faded. You were at a loss for words. Never had you danced with such a partner, nor been twirled and spun so effortlessly.
“Wow, Sebek, that was something else,” you snickered. He gave you a coy smile as he took your hand once more to walk back towards the table. In a moment, you felt another hand grab onto both of yours. It was Ace’s. “Hey, Sebby, do you mind if I take the next dance?” Sebek looked at you, as it was your decision to say yes or no to Ace’s request. You shrugged at him. “That’s fine, Trappola,” he said, looking over his shoulder at you before walking away to the table. As the next song played, Ace began to dance with you. It was nothing compared to how Sebek had just danced with you. “How is the night going with the green giant, Y/N?” he playfully asked. “Well for starters, he bought me flowers and then showed up with a carriage to bring us here,” you laughed.
Ace made a face as he kept dancing and then looked over at Sebek. “Who does he think he is, a prince?” he teased. “That actually sounds very nice though. Are you enjoying yourself?” His playful tone was gone as he was genuinely asking if you were having a good time. Sebek was hard to read, yes, but overall your night had been more than you could have imagined. Your only wish was that he was more lively, letting his guard down more. “It has been pretty good honestly. Still mad you two lied and set me up, but I think it’s okay,” you said sarcastically. Ace laughed at your words as the next song started. Ace spun you once and let go of your hand where you found your hand landing in Deuce’s hand.
“Oh, hello,” you laughed. “So you two are just throwing me around now? What am I, a toy?” Deuce shook his head as he danced with you. “Absolutely not, we just wanted to dance and see how it was going. We know he’s hard headed and sometimes loud, but he’s a pretty nice guy under it all. You just have to get there,” Deuce laughed. “Yeah, I know, but that seems impossible at this rate, like look at him he’s just sitting by himself,” you pouted. Deuce glanced over at him and then immediately looked back at you. “I think… he’s mad actually,” he whispered. You snuck a glance in, hopefully, without him noticing. “Nah, I think that’s just his face to be honest,” you whispered back. You were very thankful to have Ace and Deuce looking out for you, even if they did lie to you and set you up with Sebek.
As the next song started, you recognized it. Somehow they had gotten music from your own world in Twisted Wonderland. Sebek grabbed your hand, taking you away from your current dance partner. “Sebek, you want to dance again? I thought you only did it for orchestral numbers,” you said teasingly. Sebek smiled at you, a genuine smile. In that moment, you wished you could see it more often, for it was more flawless than you could have imagined. “I do prefer orchestral numbers, but I like this song,” he said. The song playing was Hero by Enrique Iglesias. You’d be lying if you said it wasn’t one of your own favorite songs.
You two started to dance again, Sebek leading once more. Something felt different this time though. His one hand on your waist and his other in your hand felt warm and inviting. Your brain was telling you that the song is what was making this feel more intimate than it was. You two danced to the song, feeling like the sounds around you were drowned out by the music playing as you looked into Sebek’s eyes. You playfully sang the song to him. “Would you swear that you'll always be mine? Or would you lie? Would you run and hide?” you sang to him. He flusteredly looked away, avoiding eye contact once again. “What’s wrong, Sebek? You don’t want to be my hero?” you laughed as you laid your head on his chest as the song continued to play. Through the sounds of the people around you chatting and the music playing, you almost thought you heard him breathe “No, I do.” You brushed it off as your mind playing tricks on you. This is Sebek, not NRC’s greatest bachelor. You continued to dance with your head laying on his broad chest, it was surprisingly very comfortable.
As the music faded and the song ended, you looked up at Sebek. “You’re a good dancer, Sebek. You take lessons?” you said playfully. Sebek chuckled as you two stopped swaying. “Yes, I actually had to take quite a few dance classes under Master Lilia’s recommendation. He said ‘A knight will never know when he has to dance. He must be ready,’” he hummed. You looked around the prom, the amount of people present was much less than the start of the night. “Should we head home? It looks like most people have already headed out,” you said. Sebek looked around the room as well, still holding your hand. “If you would like to leave for the night, I do not mind going now,” he said looking at you. His eyes were softer, you could tell something was melting the ice cold wall he had to shut others out.
“Okay,” you whispered as he began to lead you to the front doors. He assisted once more in helping you into the carriage before getting in himself. You could see the sky above you being taken over by darker clouds overhead as you looked out the carriage window on your way back. Sebek must’ve also been looking out his own window. “It appears that it is going to storm,” he said to himself. “Yeah,” you said looking at him. “I hope you can get home safely. I know it’s not too far, but still.” Sebek locked eyes with you for a moment before looking down at his hands. “Yes, of course. I think the carriage can get me home safely. I’m not too concerned about thunder or lightning storms,” he said with a small chuckle. “Ah, here we are,” he said as the carriage stopped and he opened the door. You crawled over to his side, taking his hand to help you out.
You both walked to the front door, the silence louder than ever. Sebek stopped in front of your door looking aimlessly around the dorm. “Well,... thank you for tonight, Sebek. I had a wonderful time,” you said quietly as you twiddle your fingers. “I am pleased to hear you had a wonderful night, Y/N. Thank you for having me as your date,” he said, giving a small bow to you. Him saying your name made your heart skip a beat. The entire time he had known you, including all of tonight, he had just called you prefect. After he bowed, the awkward silence set in once more. Neither of you knew what to really say, but you felt the rain starting to drop. You took it as a sign to go inside so he could leave before the weather was too bad. “Okay, well goodnight, Sebek. I will see you tomorrow, I guess?” you said in an unsure tone as you unlocked the dorm door. “Yes, of course. I will see you then,” he said as he turned to go back to the carriage. Once inside your dorm, you shut the door behind you. Leaning your back on the door and sliding down it to the floor. Everything tonight felt right in all the best ways, but reading Sebek’s emotions was hard. He never gave you much to work with, so there was no way to really tell what he was thinking.
You could hear the rain outside the door starting to pour. You hoped that the sounds of the rain and thunder would drown out the increased beating you could hear your heart doing as you thought about your night with Sebek. Hopefully he gets to Diasomnia in one piece. The last thing you wanted was to hear about some freak accident that happened to him on your way home. The sound of three quiet knocks on the door made you jump. It was too late at night for you to have visitors, Crowley would be upset if he knew you had company over past curfew. You got up from the floor to open the door.
You opened the creaky door slowly, not knowing what to expect. What you weren’t expecting was to see a drenched Sebek standing in your doorway. “Sebek?! What are you still doing here? I thought you left? Why are you just standing in the rain?” you said, trying to pull him inside from the rain. The moment you grabbed his hand, a light switch went off in his head. He met you halfway into your pull and grabbed your face to drag you in for a kiss. He pressed his lips to yours, the water drops from his hair falling onto your face. You could feel his passion behind this kiss. There was no guessing how he felt now or what he was thinking. You reciprocated his kiss, trying to shut the door with a free hand so the cold, rainy air would stop coming inside. The two of you shared the kiss for a while, your lips both pressing hard against each other’s.
Sebek pulled his face away from yours, staring back at you with the softest expression you had seen yet. You could look into his eyes and see how content he was in this moment. “Sebek?” you whispered. He was still holding your face, looking down at you. “I’m sorry, Y/N, I- I just have wanted to kiss you all night.. I didn’t want to leave without doing so,” he sighed. You stared back at him for a moment before saying anything. “Can we… talk about this in the morning, maybe?” you asked hesitantly. “Yes, I’m sorry. I apologize if it was too forward and you don’t feel the same,” he said, letting go of your face. “No, it’s not that. I just- tonight has been a lot. So I think it is better to talk about this tomorrow,” you said.
“Of course,” Sebek said as he went to open the door. “I shall speak with you about it tomor-” He stopped as he opened the door and looked outside. The carriage had left him. You looked past his shoulder to see what made him stop in his tracks. “Sebek,.. you can’t walk home in this rain. I won’t let you,” you said behind him. “You can stay here, I don’t mind. You can even have my bed if you want to.” Sebek scoffed at the suggestion. “I would never forgive myself if I allowed you to sleep anywhere other than your bed in your own home for my sake,” he said sternly. “I will sleep on the couch. You will stay in your normal sleeping quarters for the night.”
“Your clothes are also drenched, do you want me to rummage through the drawers and see if I can find anything for you? Surely there is something that would work,” you said walking towards your stairs to go upstairs to your room. “That would be nice, Y/N. If not then I will just have to cope with the clothes until they are dried,” he said sitting on the couch and unbuttoning his tux jacket. You went upstairs and rummaged through all the drawers you could find. The only thing you found that would maybe fit Sebek was an old tshirt from god knows how long ago. He was too tall and too built for anything else. While upstairs, you took the chance to get out of your own outfit. Making sure you gently took it off and neatly tucked it away on the dresser, a gentle reminder to yourself to take it to dry cleaning before returning to Vil.
You came downstairs to find Sebek still on the couch, but he had already stripped off his tuxedo jacket and the button up underneath it. The soft light coming in from outside the windows was the only light in the room. The light hit softly on his back, just enough for you to make out the faint silhouette of it. “Here, Sebek, this is all I could find,” you said as you handed him the shirt in your hands. “Thank you,” he said as he turned his head to look at you. He pulled the shirt over his head. “It’s… a little tight, but it is not unbearable. Wearing it is only for tonight as well, it will do,” he said tugging at it to see how stretchy it was.
“I will go get you some blankets and stuff,” you said as you scurried to the hallway closet. You pulled out a few blankets and pillows for him to use for the night. Hopefully they would suffice, they were nothing in comparison to the nice, extravagant things he had at Diasomnia. You walked to the front side of the couch this time and handed them to him. His eyes locked with yours as he took them from you. In the low light, his eyes were almost reflective. “Thank you, Y/N,” he said, his gaze made you feel like there was something else he wanted to say. “I’ll see you in the morning, okay?” you said quietly. “Yes, in the morning,” he said before you walked away to go back upstairs.

BG3 INSP: Escape the Nautiloid
Githyanki Woman: Abomination! This is your end! Narrator: Your head throbs and your skin tingles. Visions run past: a dragon's wing, a silver sword--and a flash of your face seen through the strange woman's eyes. Githyanki Woman: Ugh, my head! What is this? Tsk'va! You are no thrall? Vlaakith blesses me this day! Together, we might survive. Imps block the path forward. You will assist me in destroying them--we must reach the helm before we transform. Ryuu: Transform? What do you mean? Githyanki Woman: We carry Mind Flayer parasites! Unless we escape--unless we are cleansed--our bodies and minds will be tainted and twisted. Within days we will be ghaik: Mind Flayers! Ryuu: We are turning into Illithid? There must be something we can do! Githyanki Woman: We can do nothing until we escape--that must be our priority. Ryuu: I am Ryuu; who are you? Lae'zel: Who am I? Your only chance of survival, Lae'zel. Ryuu: Is the helm our way out of here? Lae'zel: It is where we might gain control of the gh'ath--this Nautiloid ship. Once in command, we will deal with our ghaik captors. We will address the matter of a cure for this infection once we reach the Material Plane. Ryuu: Onward then. The ship won't be able to take another dragon attack. We need to get out before it's too late.
-- Baldur's Gate 3
MY THOUGHTS (mini rant) & CC CREDITS
MY THOUGHTS
Unpopular opinion, but I LOVE Lae'zel. She's my favorite character in the whole game (EASY #2's my daughter Karlach 🥰). People say Lae'zel's hella mean, but I like her whole melting the ice queen shtick.
My biggest complaint about BG3 is that most of the companions are way too irrelevant--other than Halsin, Lae'zel's the only one closely tied to the actual frikkin plot (unless you count that annoying wench Shadowheart blabbing about Lady Shar all frikkin day. I haven't dealt with her & the Nightsong yet). I was with Lae the whole time: get these nasty AF parasites out of my frikkin body RIGHT NOW. 🤮 To the creche! (Then we got to the creche and I was like jfc. 👀💀)
And her going on & on about Queen Vlaakith was way more interesting than Shadowheart with Lady Shar & her whole amnesia excuse (plus I just don't like her, so.... XD).
The Githyanki were giving me strong Qunari vibes from Dragon Age--but that's not surprising, since Bioware made the first two Baldur's Gate games & DA likely lifted at lot from D&D. Lae's kinda like a way more intense Sten or Iron Bull? And both the Gith & the Qun have dragon-obsessed cultures; these are my people. 💪😤

CC CREDITS
- Midnight Hollow lighting mod
- Tank pose w/ 75% OMSP resizer
- Skyrim dragon by me
- Fireextinguisherfailfx is a GREAT Fog Emitter fire-breathing effect, which I realized when I had Ryuu detonate the parasite pool, and the explosion set sim!Lae'zel on frikkin fire! That orange burst when the extinguisher fails is just perfect.
Tumblr media
I was dying when Ryuu just STOOD there while she did all the work putting out the fires, after I told him to put out the fire FIRST! Typical; Dark Urges can't be bothered helping people, I guess. XD
Fortunately for sim!Lae, there was a nifty Restoration Station nearby where she could wash all the soot off:

My fave characters have definitely become Natasha, Clara and Welt. Natasha because huge team mom energy (and she’s also a mommy) and I love her gentle sass and she is also a really good healer (at least the best I’ve got) and I’ve survived so many tight spots because of her (and her companion quest made me cry). Clara, because she is just adorable without being annoying, she is strong af and I love the found family she has going on with Svarog (and her talent is named Because We’re Family and that is the cutest shit, istg). And Welt is just this distinguished daddy who also has legit major dad vibes and I just want his to pet my head and praise me and he is also strong af and I love how he binds his opponents and his Technique is among my favourites since it’s just so handy.

Pokemon Horizons Episode 24 Review - Diana And Terapagos
After two weeks, Horizons is back! Although this is the final episode of the first arc (Liko and Roy’s Departure), it feels more of a buildup rather than a closure. We meet Liko’s grandmother Diana, we learn of Terapagos, and the Explorers are going out of their way to become scarier threats with the way they’re gathering their admins.
Tumblr media
After so much buildup, Diana is finally introduced in the flesh. She is an adventurer as she started her adventures due to finding the pendant and Lucius’s diary in her family’s attic one day and decided to set out. As she got older, she gave up on finding about the secrets of Lucius, but still had the adventurer’s spirit at heart, which was why she still traveled around. The last time she saw Liko was a year before Liko’s story where she had visited Paldea and gave her the pendant as a good luck charm for school. At the time, she had no idea the pendant harbored Terapagos. As a character, Diana seems like a very cool person. I like that she still chases after her passion, adventuring, even at her old age. While she is finally introduced, I do feel as if she was mainly present for upcoming plot points and foreshadowing. She knows what Terapagos is; she knows what Rakua is. She knows that the Explorers are after the pendant. I just find it annoying that the writers build all these up and then get interrupted constantly, whether it be Fuecoco becoming hungry or the actual Explorers intruding into her house. I just hope this isn’t the last we see of Diana. I want to see more of her next episode!
I do like that thanks to Diana, we do get to learn a lot about Terapagos. Diana mentions that the form she saw in a book was much bigger—which is hinted at the existence of the Scarlet/Violet book. Terapagos was most definitely Lucius’s companion. Regardless, while a lot was given, there are still things we do not know about this turtle Pokemon. Terapagos seems to be familiar with Diana, yet she never knew it was inside the pendant. I guess Terapagos familiarizes with the wielder, even if it does not show up in front of them. Personality-wise, it is very cute and childlike. I find it amusing how Liko decides to carry Terapagos, Hatenna and Sprigatito all at once in different locations. There are going to be so many ‘Liko is swole AF’ memes once Terapagos’s official weight is revealed.
The Explorers are building up to be even bigger threats than before now. Spinel was easily the scariest of the admins during his stint. Now, Hamber is building up to be even scarier than him with the way his bangs reveal that the covered one has been open all the time while the uncovered one is purposely closed. His partner is a Dusknoir. He recruited the help of Onyx and Sango to pursue Terapagos. Onyx’s partner is Garganacl while Sango’s is Glalie, surprisingly. Spinel and Agate stated to be doing something in a lab, which is why they’re inactive. Amethio and his goons are back into the pendant search after he showed Hamber the video of Terapagos. I do hope we get backstories of why these guys are in the Explorers. I’d like to learn more about them.
Horizons really loves ending episodes with cliffhangers. I just hope nothing important is skipped over like how Episodes 22 and 23 did with 22 ending in a cliffhanger and 23 starting with Friede already out of the mine. If something like that happens again, I will riot. Anyways, what are your thoughts to this episode?

hey mimi!! i'm here to defend my heinous fave *wait for the drumroll* — ✨SUKUNA✨ [splatters of blood might suit him more than these stupid sparkles, but oh well—]
now, he is one of, if not the most feared creatures to terrorize society way back from the heian era. war, murder, cannibalism– my man ain't even a nanometer above doing them, yk? still, i love him & deem him to be perfectly okay 'cause:
one, HE IS POWERFUL. LIKE, INSANELY POWERFUL. and imo, such immense power can do wacky stuff to one's brain, making them sorts of different from the usual— like, a pinch of red-hot temper and some stuff similar to it are to be expected from him, i suppose.
two, HE IS LONELY. i mean, he does have uraume beside him at each and every waking moment of his, but they are more of a servant than a companion, yk? and imo, loneliness can yet again cause wacky shit to happen to one's brain— besides, giving birth to a boredom. and as is said, an empty brain is a devil's workshop. haha [it's more nervous, than casual laughter, but– HAHAHAHA]
three, people are dumb in general. like, they place my poor sukuna on the pedestal of a deity, giving him harvest offerings and celebrating a festival or many in his name– BUT THEY'RE UNABLE TO TREAT HIM AS ONE SHOULD A DEITY!!— sukuna obviously gets mad at them for such disrespect [as he should] and gives them their due punishment– but the world is biased and can't see their own faults even if they are parading in front of them, blowing a trumpet— so sukuna is called an abhorrent monster *smh smh*
four, he is handsome AF. so tall, so muscly, with all those tattoos, that ever-present annoyed scowl, those mesmerizing crimson eyes— that specimen is too fine to be blamed for any of his wrongdoings 😇😇
i'm adding a point for the sheer length of text first of all, so we'll see how this adds to the official total
and tbh you gave me 4 solid arguments 1. powerful (yes appealing to MY power kink, ty for knowing your audience), 2. lonely (yes, appealing to pathos, yes he is sopping wet even though he's not), 3. other people are the problem (yes i agree always blame everyone else) and 4. hot (yes halo effect is very real folks)
11/10!!
this was a delightful read!!!!

HOW DID I MANAGE TO GET STUCK IN A CORNER. Pfft.
My ass and tail too dummy thicc. Got stuck between a bed, a wall and a stool. I cannot move, sit or lie. My companions are.... probably annoyed af.
Edit: I'm so glad that I had to literally smash everything in my vicinity to solve that. Amazing. For a hot second I thought she was stuck partially IN the wall and just glitching.

How I think Martha would get along with the different companions
Rose: any extended interactions they had would be awkward af but i think if they hung out enough they would get along great
Mickey: well yknow. They're married.
Jack: we already know they get along great
Donna: same again
River: I actually think Martha would find River annoying. River is annoying on purpose but she respects martha for being able to ditch the doctor
Amy: she makes fun of martha for crushing on the doctor then sulks when Rory points out she did too
Rory: they get on so well it makes Amy and Mickey jealous
Clara: they get along really well but martha thinks Clara is crazy for continuing to travel with the doctor even after being fully aware of all his issues and having to deal with the master. Clara agrees it's crazy but she just can't give it up
Bill: i think they would be friendly but she doesn't get on with martha as well as Clara and Rory do. If it's pre-the doctor falls, Martha almost succeeds in talking bill out of traveling with the doctor
Yaz: this would go similarly to Jack and Yaz. I think Martha would see a lot of herself in Yaz.
Ryan: they wouldn't really have any relationship, Ryan is just too much younger and they don't have that common experience like with Yaz.
Graham: kind of same again although I do think they'd banter a little about thr doctors more annoying tendencies (like no food breaks!)
Bonus, Missy: I think Missy would get so excited about the idea of messing with martha again that she immediately gives herself away. She better hope Martha isn't armed

Ranking my favorite Star Trek TOS girlies
This is specifically about the women of the week, excluding those who appeared once in TOS but later reappeared in other Star Trek shows (like T'Pring, Amanda or Una). There are so many! Most are kinda meh eye candy, however, some are just great. Here we go...
13 Kelinda (2x22 By Any Other Name) : she's not a girl, she is hundred tentacle alien trapped in a woman's body
Tumblr media
12 Roberta Lincoln (2x26 Assignment: Earth) : just there to slay, she has some serious Doctor's companion vibes
Tumblr media
11 Lenore (1x13 Conscience of the King) : a murderous girlie with an unhealthy fixation on her father, you gotta love her
Tumblr media
10 Irina Galliulin (3x20 The Way to Eden) : Academy drop out in a sexy hippie polycule, what else do you need?
Tumblr media
9 Shahna (2x16 The Gamesters of Triskalion) : admittedly mostly there to look pretty, but I love her, I want her to come back
Tumblr media
8 Martha Landon (2x5 The Apple) : the first person in the show to high kick in a fight, honestly an icon
Tumblr media
7 Horta (1x25 The Devil in the Dark) : she's a blob of lava, she's a mother, she's into Spock, she is everything
Tumblr media
6 Daras (2x21 Patterns of Force) : she's an undercover freedom fighter who turned her own father in to get the enemy's trust, hardcore af
Tumblr media
5 Marta (3x14 Whom Gods Destroy) : criminally insane Orion who quotes Shakespeare and then claims she is the author, iconic
Tumblr media
4 Vanna (3x21 The Cloud Minders) : in her first scene she beats Kirk in a hand to hand combat, 'nough said
Tumblr media
3 Janice Lester (3x24 Turnabout Intruder) : yes, go exercise your girl power by murdering a lot of people and stealing Kirk's body, you can do anything, I believe in you!
Tumblr media
2 Romulan Commander (3x2 The Enterprise Incident) : the only female captain we'll get to have for a long time, absolute queen, so sexy and powerful with great sense of fashion
Tumblr media
1 Miranda Jones (3x5 Is There in Truth No Beauty) : my favorite by a lot, she is conflicted, annoying, petty and ready to kick sexist and ableist asses on the spot
Tumblr media
There are more that I could mention, but I thought 13 is an okay number to stop.
