reading all those reviews from the poor critics who don't know the source material, praising charlie bushnell as luke, mentioning how his relationship with percy is heartfelt and wholesome.

alright its almost midnight n i got another muscle pain tip: the secret to good posture is to be able to relax as many muscles as possible while doing it. if you need to contract a bunch of muscles to maintain a position, it's not a good position.
subtip: make sure you know what the difference is between tension and relaxation of the muscles. it might seem crazy NOT to know this, but if body tension is all you know, then how do you know what relaxing feels like. not like im speaking from experience
anyways i recommend trying those tense and relax exercises some people use for anxiety.

Also, I remember writing this whole thing about Molly and the paper flower he gave Yasha the episode before The Incident. Going on and on about the symbology of it and how we never know when our final acts are upon us, etc.
Very funny that for FCG that "cool last act" is that, hey cool! He got to have a tongue for a while! 👅🐍

todays wisdom:
none of the wolf witchers could cope with being called daddy during sex okay. they all have massive ass parent issues, if not also giant ass child issues. they’d have a breakdown. lambert would be curled up in a corner definitely not crying.
also please don’t do that to my man vesemir because unfortunately that’s been his life for like 100 years and he’s so tired please god give him a break.

Something I’ve noticed while rereading Jon’s first AGOT chapter is the whiplash we get as we transition from the image presented in Bran’s chapter and the image we get when we a actually see inside Jon’s head.
In Bran’s POV, Jon is the cool big brother who is “an old hand at justice”, has an attitude (calling Theon “ass”), and is so caring and self-sacrificial. Bran can understand that Jon sacrificed himself so the rest of his siblings can get a wolf pup but it almost reads as if he is at peace with being a bastard; perhaps it looks that way to 8yr old Bran. Jon can calmly look Lord Eddard in the eye and draw a hard line that separates himself from the rest of the Stark kids.
But Jon’s POV shows us that he’s actually not at peace with his station. Though we never see Jon’s inner monologue to finding only five pups at first, I’d imagine that he wasn’t very happy and might have even been sad that his siblings not only get the Stark name, but they get the physical manifestation of the Stark arms. Finding only five pups for five trueborn children once again lets him know that he doesn’t belong; he’s not one of them.
And we see some of this resentment rearing it’s head in Jon I. There, he now has to watch his trueborn siblings get more affirmation of their status. They can be with and engage with royalty in a way that he can’t. Even Theon Greyjoy, who’s not a Stark, gets in on the fun. But the bastard boy has to sit far away with the squires. So even though Jon has the Stark sigil with him (Ghost), it still can’t heal the wound. He’s still not up there with the rest of the family as he would want to be. And Ghost isn’t a regular direwolf. He is different from the rest of the wolf pups, just as Jon is different from the rest of his siblings. Both of them are, at the end of the day, outsiders.
So Bran’s POV shows us a cool, confident, and collected Jon (no doubt because Bran idolizes his big brother) whereas the Jon in Jon I is a mixed bag. He doesn’t come off as well as he did in Bran’s POV. He is not as mature - in fact he’s very immature here. Like the fourth line in this chapter is about him getting drunk on “the sweet, fruity taste of summerwine”. And summer children are often linked to immaturity. But more importantly, Jon’s not at peace with his status. He’s even reduced to tears because he has to be seated away from him family (he’s already tearing up before Benjen comes up to talk to him). At the end of the day, he really is just a kid.
Then get even more whiplash in Arya’s POV because she has Bran’s rose tinted goggles x1000. Jon is ever the calm, cool, amazing big brother. We have Jon calmly telling Arya that “bastards get the swords but not the arms” and how bastards can’t damage young princes. Once again, Jon looks as if he’s ok with being set apart from the rest of the Stark kids from Arya’s POV. But now we have the added context of Jon’s own chapter where he is full of doubts, insecurities, and jealousy.
