Just sharing this to have it out, I don’t know if anybody else was interested in these.

warnings: anti-romani caricature, alcoholism, child abuse/neglect/endangerment, misogyny/sexual harrassment, ableism/general distasteful depictions of mental illness, animal death. nothing worse than the usual comic book, but still.

Issue 6 is the one I wanted, and its really good! Chainsaw Vigilante is one of the only sources of real action in the comic’s entirety, and it’s fun to watch him completely disarm a superhero team without hurting even one of them.

On this day...

in 1996, "Tick vs. Arthur" aired. It's a great episode that has Arthur end up with a villainous belt, which gets him crazy jacked. Something akin to roid rage ensues, which culminates in a Tick vs. Arthur stand-off.

My favorite quote from this one would have to be this little exchange:

Tick: I never thought I'd have to say this to you, but...SPOON!!!!

Arthur: Ah, spoon this!
