A devastating and confusing thing about the Fallout setting, when you explore the pre-war aspects, is what the creators think about pre-war America. In the first games we only get hints of the pre-war world, but they seem to be some sort of wild fascist nation invading Canada. In Fallout 1, the first thing we're introduced to of the pre-war society is seeing a soldier shoot civilians and laughing.
Now, for the first 2 games and New Vegas we don't really know much. What we know is that there's a fascist military group known as the enclave who were a sort of US deep state even before the war, and that the government teamed up with corporate interests to preform vaguely MKULTRA-ish experiments with the Vaults. Basically, the government was an extreme version of the 50s American jingoism and McCarthyism.
This is well and dandy, I guess issues come up more when we get to the later games, especially 4, where it seems like none of this extreme plotting and societal civil unrest which would exist is seen. The society as presented in 4 also seems quite progressive, gay people are featured in the opening, and none of the baggage of say, civil rights not existing are included. Now on a baseline, I don't want settings to be more conservative, homophobic and sexist etc., but it becomes a very confusing setting when it's displayed both as this jingoist extreme thing with fascist tendencies aswell as a progressive place where everyone is seemingly equal. If you're focusing on the 50s as your setting, and American nationalism in the 50s, then you can't have McCarthyism spoofs and anti-communism as a societal paranoia norm while also general equality is the norm without misunderstanding why McCarthyism and nationalist jingoism is bad. A massive harm done in anti-communist paranoia is how it degrades and vilifies any progressive movements (women's rights, civil rights, homosexuality) as being morally un-American and therefore connected to communism. To ignore this just makes any critique of MacCarthyism and jingoism weird!
Basically, pre-war America in Fallout 4 becomes this both sides thing where America is both pure and equal and white fences in every instance that we see as the player (the intro), while also supposedly being this dystopic MacCarthyist hellscape that's broadcasting gladly about their war crimes in Canada, and wants to root out communism. I guess the only fix for this issue without getting into the fine print like they had to do is just not to focus too much on the pre-war world.

the thing about post-rose ten is he IS casually cruel. he tells donna to her face that she's not clever, not special, not important - and gets slapped for it, which to my mind is kinda the reason the doctor-donna relationship works. he tells martha's coworker not to waste his time, to stay behind, she'll only hold them up. leaves her crying. and like, devoting his energy to the problem at hand (the hospital is on the moon, there's an alien situation going on, everyone here and possibly everyone on earth is at risk) is the practical move at the time. but there's an obvious casual cruelty to it that he wouldn't have stooped to before.
and I'm just reminded of the way donna forgot all her loudness and bluff and immediately snapped to empathy when there were people hurt. you're a doctor, you can help. I remember her watching in horror as the doctor presided over the execution of children and the destruction of a species - and telling him he can stop now. I remember her saying that yeah, her ex-fiance, the man who poisoned her and used her and secretly looked down on her all this time, he didn't deserve to die like he did, which is a pretty big admission given the freshness of that betrayal. she has a good heart. and I can see why she would be good for this new, cruel, forgotten-his-kindness-in-all-his-pain doctor.
and I'm just so, so sorry that martha had to know this version of him in the meantime.

Obey Me! Nightbringer Lesson 22 Spoilers!
Mammon has been my favorite brother ever since the very first Lesson of OG Obey Me!
I've also been a HUGE fan of Mammon's greedy behavior towards us probably because I like yanderes so much lol
But wow.... The newest Lesson in Obey Me! Nightbringer actually had me feeling.... apprehensive? Unsure?? Scared??? Horny?!?!
Aww... Beel 💙 (don't be so sure~ lol)
Mammon is aggressively possessive. Dangerously possessive. He's not thinking clearly.
I don't blame him since his sin is obviously taking over and he is unable to control himself. But....
If the same thing is gonna happen with the rest of the boys, we better buckle up and hold on tight!
Personally, I feel like I'd be able to handle Mammon, Levi, and Belphie. Possibly even Satan since I can understand his wrath/rage (though I might just be way too overconfident there).
But Lucifer, Asmo, and Beel?
Asmo will be trying to fuck seduce us nonstop. Beel may possibly try to devour us.
And Lucifer's overflowing pride will probably mean that he will view any help that we try to offer him as us, a "lowly human", underestimating and patronizing him... which will severely piss him off.
I'm hoping all of this means that we will start forging pacts with the brothers along the way/as we help each of them.
Because if not... We're screwed considering our magic currently isn't working and Solomon's magic is progressively getting weaker.
At this point, I can't wait for the next lesson. I want to know what happens next, I want to see how we're gonna save Mammon. I want the entire story all at once even though that's not possible.... I'm just impatient xD

Oh, Mr. Winchester, if you’re implying that I don’t think you’re good enough, it’s quite the contrary. You’re far too good.

(You don't need to have a wishlist, in that case I'll just give you a random character)
Oh and considering there's almost 900 of you and this could get overwhelming really quickly, please keep the amount of friend visit requests limited to a maximum of 10

I thought newgrounds died years ago. Pleasantly surprised to see it's still around
i haven't used it since middle school to play demented flash games and watch animations, i was also surprised to know it survived the flash purge lol. a lot of people are recommending it though and it never hurts to have yet another platform to fall back on. i didn't even know it was a regular art site either tbh 🥴
