yes, doctors suck, but also "the medical ethics and patient interaction training doctors receive reinforces ableism" and "the hyper competitive medical school application process roots out the poor, the disabled, and those who would diversify the field" and "anti-establishment sentiment gets applications rejected and promotions requests denied, weeding out the doctors on our side" and "the gruesome nature of the job and the complete lack of mental health support for medical practitioners breeds apathy towards patients" and "insurance companies often define treatment solely on a cost-analysis basis" and "doctors take on such overwhelming student loan debt they have no choice but to pursue high paying jobs at the expense of their morals" are all also true
none of this absolves doctors of the truly horrendous things they say and do to patients, but it's important to acknowledge that rather than every doctor being coincidentally a bad person, there is something specific about this field and career path that gives rise to such high prevalence of ableist attitudes
and I WILL elaborate happily

Tangentially related to some of the discussion i posted earlier but quiet literally the first RW Art Month i participated I did it completely on whim like, one day before it started. And I mostly did it because I hadn't drawn a ton of rain world and wanted to draw more. Fandom presence was a lot smaller than and I was one of a handful of artists who did the entire thing. Fast forward and I still do Art Month and I've gotten to work with VC directly.
But it was quite literally something I decided to do completely on whim that set the ball rolling, and for something a lil more niche and certainly with a lot more dev/fandom art involvement than most. It's really random how and why you might get noticed more than usual, especially with the "toss it into the search and hope it pays out' mechanism of Socmed

Cannot overstated how gutting it feels to know how much of my life and charity has, in fact, gone to destroying the lives and personhood and ecosystem of Palestine while being told all my life that it was for the sake of MY people, that it was good, that Israel needs to exist. No it doesn't. It never did. Jerusalem is a holy site but it's not our site alone. For millenia 'israel' wasn’t supposed to be a place, it was supposed to be the people. I knew the Israeli government was held hostage by fascist ghouls, but I feel betrayed not knowing just how deep that bile runs.
But, well. Sitting here and being depressed about it won't help anything. I have no reason to support a country that does so many of the things to its native population that the US did to ours, that recreates so many of the actions that we promised would be 'never again', a country that was only ever an apartheid state at best. Healing the world is a core tenet and I intend to abide by it.

I'm delighted to finally post what I've been working on lately! I've gone on youtube and downloaded a bunch of mp3s of various unstreamable songs then cut them down from the videos into individual songs with proper metadata + album art so you can just download them all in one place and throw them into wherever you play your music. Right now I have various EPs, demos, and singles, but I will be adding unreleased live songs and debut/early/alternative/etc versions of songs later on!
(Also as a fair warning, the early ones sound really rough, but it is what it is)

This is purely curiosity, but are you going to draw scaramouche's new design? He seems right up your alley 👀
ahhhh i DO love his redesign! and after finishing the 3.2 AQ, i rewatched his animated backstory cutscene and sat there sort of just marveling at what a wonderfully written villain he is (': i'm very excited to see where his story goes next!
as to whether or not i'd draw him, maybe not in full, but i had a charm idea i was thinking of lately...!! he's become an anemo guy i'm almost contractually obligated to do so

Room anon
I guess I mostly meant furniture and colors! How you'd put that stuff together and all!!
I SEE I SEE, WELL,
for that I can say is that its really really important what the context is out there for the room, what the purpose it serves and if it has history its before, Its definitely also knowing your characters well and seeing how they would interact with the room, what their taste in furniture is, how messy or how tidy they are and what they usually do. The house is a reflection of the people in it, after all! but it does depend and there are exceptions in some cases. You gotta have a good grasp of what you want in your mind first and then work on iterations to get it just right, get the idea on paper as fast as you can(even if it sucks) and then do some problem solving and adjust as needed. its all very trial and error
↓ shitty little doodle
IN MY CASE, FOR THE GIRLS IN PARTICULAR. Apart of my process for making the rooms in their house is taking the trio's house and then changing the hue of the colors to fit their scheme and making adjustments to make it pleasing/to serve the style i want. their house is inspired by alot of kitsy 50-70s kitchens and interiors, but i dont avoid adding things that may be modern or from older generations because time is weird where they are, not because they actually live and take place in the 50s-70s. I would often collect refrences to the side and do research while designing things off my head, then make changes to make sure its all consistent etc etc
↑albums specifically for refrence
and ofc for technicality! when picking out colors you gotta know how to distribute the color hierarchy on your pallete well, it also helps to check your values and make sure the colors dont confuse one another in the house, (you can do this by adding a white or black layer on top of your drawing and setting it to color) making backgrounds is another thing and you have to know how to do that before you get into drawing rooms, except what i find is what you can get away alot with natural landscapes, rooms/interiors have specific design principles and a need for better understanding on perspective to work in your favour. You can start out by observing your own house/room and base it off of that !
TLDR IS ....... make sure the house looks lived in/consider whos living in it and the condition its in and design the house accordingly, Think about what you want for the house to look like and use refrences as needed, get a grasp on a few colors and build off of that and make sure the values are consistent and not jarring or clashing. THATS ALL good luck on your rooms friend
