Thanks for the ask @stormbrightwriter! Always looking for an excuse happy to rant about HartMart. <3
Long so most answers are under the cut.
What colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?
Eckehart's got some gorgeous, expressive baby blues! They are perpetually tired and annoyed, but you're hardpressed to find anyone who doesn't think they're absolutely stunning. Martin's are dark brown, almost black, and might be described as shark-like. There's a lot going on behind them, but nothing he wants people to see.
What emotions do they have trouble dealing with?
Being cared for, feeling grateful, is really hard for Eckehart. He's a man who doesn't want to owe anyone anything, you know? He'd rather do everything himself, be entirely alone, than give anyone leverage over him.
Martin is similar but different? He's schooled himself since he was a child to maintain an air of absolute control at all times, convincing everyone around him that he is both capable and ruthless. He has a history of people exploiting his vulnerabilities and would do a lot of very shitty things to avoid feeling helpless ever again.
What is your OC's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?
Eckehart thinks his greatest wish is to end his family's legacy of authoritative control, and give power back to the people of New London. But his REAL greatest wish is to die-- to go out in a big blaze of glory and "redeem himself," which is a big problem for Martin.
Martin? He thinks his greatest wish is to have control-- to have the world bend to him, and to take revenge on the people who killed his mother. But really? I think his greatest wish would be to feel secure. To feel safe and content.
What's a side of your OC that they don't want to show other people?
Eckehart doesn't want people to see how scared he is. Or, maybe it's more accurate to say that he doesn't want people seeing how lost he is. He walks with blinders on, because if he doesn't keep his head down and plow through the pain, he wouldn't know how to live. It makes him feel pathetic.
Martin doesn't want people to see HIM-- like, the real him. He's a man used to putting on airs, making people believe that he's a grinning, heartless devil. He feels safe that way. As soon as anyone sees something he truly loves or cares about, there's a chance it could be used against him or taken away.
Will they give up the world for someone they love? is this decision easy for them?
"The world," is a vague concept. I'm going to make it easy on myself and rephrase this as, "Would they lose out on their greatest wish for the person they love?"
Eckehart is so used to believing that no one would do anything for him without wanting something in return. He wouldn't give up on his greatest wish (see above) for anyone... at least, not until he gets it into his thick skull that he doesn't have to die to make the world a better place.
At the start of the series, Martin believes that he can have both the person he wants AND his greatest wish. What he comes to learn is that love, real love, requires vulnerability and honesty. In order to gain Eckehart's trust, he has to take off his mask little by little.
They would both give up their greatest wish for the person they love. Luckily, their greatest wishes are unhealthy. Throughout the series, they let those wishes go and make new wishes together.
How do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? Do they put themselves at blame?
Oh, dear god. If either of the HartMart pair was injured, the other would come swinging (albeit in different ways). Eckehart would literally throw fists. Martin would use his connections to make sure that the offender's life was miserable for AT LEAST six months. Longer if he could help it.
What gets their heart racing?
If we're being real, Eckehart's heart is always racing. Boy's got miles of anxiety. But really, he's most attracted to intelligence. Have some witty banter with him and keep up with his sass? You endear yourself to him immediately, even if he won't admit it.
Martin is a true sucker for a pretty face, but that's surface level. I'd say he's most affected by earnestness. Sincerity AND determined to get shit done? Woooowee. He loves what he envies, and he envies honesty most of all.
What traits do they look for in a relationship? Do they believe in love at first sight?
Eckehart doesn't look for anything in relationships, because being in one requires that he would, like, have to give a little bit of himself. He's condemned himself to be alone forever. And no, this cynical shit head does not believe in love at first sight.
Martin doesn't look for anything in relationships either. He'd rather keep himself at a distance and maintain a purely surface level/physical connection. At least... until he meets Eckehart. Does this emotionally constipated boy believe in love at first sight? He'd say no... but he definitely does.

(This was written in July oh dear-)
You know how in a lot of fics a de-aged Danny winds up in Gotham either via Clockwork putting him there, or Danny goes through a portal (either through his own volition or not) and ends up being taken in by one of the bats?
Okay that, but what if he was never picked up and ends up falling through the cracks and becoming one of the many homeless children wandering Gotham's streets, but unlike all the other street kids who know when to keep their head down Danny just doesn't have those fear receptors... like at all-
It's almost scary with how the kid manages to just not give a single flying fuck about what is going on.
So after a while of wandering the streets and getting acquainted with the Gotham's inhabitants everyone slowly get's used to the kid wandering around, dropping their guard and greeting him with smiles when he toddles around the corner, looking for his next meal or piece of scrap clothing.
Perhaps it's this show of trust they begin to notice the strangeness that hangs around him like a cloud. The shifting coloured eyes, the coldness in his skin that never seems to go away no matter how much clothing the kid gets bundled in.
The fact that no one knows where he goes once they take their eyes on him? Spooky to say the least, but they're Gothamites! One shady, possibly meta, kid ain't gonna change anything.
So he becomes a staple in everyone's lives, and eventually learned his name is Danny. He talks about having an older sister called Jazz, two best friends and a puppy he named Cujo. (who let their kids watch Cujo???)
They also learned he had an innate fear of The Bats, whenever one swept into the streets during their nightly patrol he would just... disappear. He became unfindable and wouldn't appear until the next day.
At first they thought it was him finding a safe place to sleep while the night rolled around and the Rouges came out to play, but that assumption was quickly squashed when he was caught wailing on one of the Jokers henchmen. The white makeup couldn't even cover up the black and blue bruises that covered his face.
It was comical, if not a bit frightening to see this small child practically a baby sitting upon a knocked out, grown ass man. His little stubby legs dangling off the side of his body, too small to even reach the ground.
Of course nothing stays under the Bats radar for long so he end up eventually getting spotted. However none of the Bats where expecting such resistance from the civilians when they offered to take the kid.
Now whenever the little tyke is bumbling around and a Bat (or any other vigilante associated with them) is in the area, it's all hands on deck to distract Danny and get him somewhere else.

I just read an article that said Ares was the most pathetic greek god.
Let me get that straight.
Ares was the only male greek god that never raped or sexually assaulted any woman in his immortal life.
Ares was the patron god of the Amazons. A feminist community of female warriors was protected by him. Amazons were his loyal daughters.
Ares slew his daughter's rapist and was tried before all of the other gods for homicide.
Ares was the only male greek god that never viewed Aphrodite as a temporary lover, he respected her and loved her for who she was.
Zeus called Ares a double-faced liar just because he didn't agree with his nature and allowed Athena to hurt him.
Ares forgave Cadmos for slewing his child and married him off to hid daughter Harmonia.
Ares freed Thanatos from the chains Sisyphus put him.
Ares was the first god to protect Olympus from Otus and Ephialtes, but when he was trapped by them no other god went to free him.
According to Nonus in Dionysiaca, Ares allows Deimos and Phobos to help Zeus defeat Typhon.
Ares was the god of masculinity, civil order and a fighter for righteousness, referred as the Ally of Themis.
He always stepped in to help his children. He even went as far to disobey Zeus so that he could save his children from danger.
And Ares is pathetic! Like really?
The only argument of his "pathetic" nature was because he lost to Athena. A war isn't meant to always be won. There are the winners and the defeated. He may have been defeated in war but in his life he was a winner, because he faught for what he loved the most with insane ferocity!
Be for fucking real guys!
