the 2023 reissue of the beatles’ red album is out as of midnight last night. the glow up that Love Me Do got has me very excited to hear what this new separation tech can do to their earliest songs. i’ve long been annoyed with the old stereo mixes for their 1963 songs and typically force them to mono to avoid feeling lopsided hearing vocals in one ear and not the other. my father doesn’t even acknowledge that the stereo mixes exist and still clings to his original mono versions. i can’t blame him as i always favor the live versions over these mixes. but i heard they were adding more 1963 songs for this reissue, and in a fit of blind belief from the Love Me Do reveal, i broke down and preordered a copy. will i regret my purchase?
so here’s my first reactions to the 1963 tracks (first 10 after Love Me Do):
Please Please Me 🤔🤔🤔
hmm, my first thought is that it may be a bit too much separation? there was already quite a lot in the 2009 album version, but i don’t care for how much echo is on that one. i think this fixes the echo for me, so along with the stereo fix i’m counting it as an improvement. next to the 2009 mono mix, this one lifts the vocals slightly to hear each part better. i still like the live versions of the song best as it’s just the kind of song (proto garage rock?) that sounds best a bit dirtied up. i love hearing john’s half laugh so clearly at 1:33 after the lyrics flub, but the drums are the highlight for me. man, ringo was a force of nature on this track.
I Saw Her Standing There 🤩🤩🤩
i legit screamed. this is an experience. giles bringing his dad’s initial idea for the first album to life? there’s so much space here, it sounds like you’re in the middle of the cavern! along with the stereo fix, the echo on the handclaps that distracts from rest of the song is gone.
Twist and Shout 🎯🎯🎯
not too much of a change, just the right little tweaks here to elevate the clarity of each part. george’s guitar never sounded better. the clarity of john’s vocals is so wild i swear you can hear him spit. this mix is worthy of the song john ripped his throat out for. excellent addition.
From Me To You ❤️❤️❤️
gosh, john and paul’s vocals are so crystal clear. more dimension than the old mono version. the harmonica ending 😘
She Loves You 🤓🤓🤓
i don’t hear a clear difference on this. it’s still a bit fuzzy and flattened. maybe the drums are a bit clearer with more dimension, and bass slightly more upfront. the vocals sound especially fuzzy though, perhaps because they didn’t have the original master copy to work with. that was also the case with Love Me Do and its quality had me hoping they could CPR this one too but alas. i think the past masters 2009 version is better than this.
I Want To Hold Your Hand 😑😑😑
i’m no expert on this one but sounds unchanged to me. maybe the hand claps have more echo? and paul’s harmony is more distinct?
This Boy 😱😍🫠
immaculate. i am deceased. talk to me from the great beyond.
All My Loving 😘😘😘
it’s incredible how much different the balance sound makes. paul sounds so much clearer now. stereo fix aside, it doesn’t sound too much different until the backing vocals and george’s guitar solo. the last bass note sounds incredible.
Roll Over Beethoven 👏👏👏
this reissue fixes the main problem with the original red album: the lack of george songs. the original didn’t have covers but the additions here make this one feel like it belongs. i hear a bit of fuzz in the opening, but it clears up quick. listen to that guitar go! the 9 yo in me is dancing like a fiend over this. i never heard the handclaps so well. everything sounds more distinct, vocals, bass, drums, in a way you can appreciate each part but without feeling too intrusive. also an excellent last note.
You Really Got A Hold On Me 😍😍😍
vocals in both ears!!! just the biggest dumb grin on my face. crystal clear the whole way through, but especially on the climax. whew. that start-stop ending has never hit harder.
overall, i am delighted. even if all the rest of the mixes are crap, this new version is still worth it for the fixes to the 1963 songs. for me, the glow ups for This Boy and You Really Got A Hold On Me alone are worth the sticker price. it was an excellent decision to include covers. a wonderful way to celebrate 60 years.

Never in a million years did Steve Harrington think he'd be standing in the drama club room in front of Eddie the Freak--who's sitting on a goddamn throne with his full lips pulled into a smug grin--asking to be taught how to play Dorks and Goblins. Yet, here he is, face a burning shade of crimson, as he explains for the sixth time what, exactly, he needs.
"Munson, it's not that hard. Henderson wants me to play in the--the game thingy they're doing when Will is home for a visit."
"Yeah, Harrington, and I stop listening every time you call it a game thingy. You obviously don't care about this at all, so why should I waste my time helping you?"
Steve rolls his eyes. "What if I pay you?"
Munson's face goes through a complicated series of changes before falling into a neutral mask, no smirk or teasing smile to be found. "You'll pay me to teach you dnd? Are you fucking kidding?"
"No?' Steve draws a hand through his hair, watches as Munson's dark eyes track the movement. "I thought you might help me out cause those kids never shut-up about you, but I'm willing to put money on it."
"Huh," Eddie says. He steeples his fingers under his chin. "Maybe I misjudged you, Harrington."
Steve lets himself smile at this. "I don't think you did. I don't give a shit about this game."
"Didn't take you for one to have a bunch of nerdy child friends."
"I'm their babysitter," he says, realizes immediately it was a mistake.
Eddie cackles until it turns into a full-bodied laugh, tears leaking from the corners of his eyes. "You are something else, Harrington," he manages.
For his part, Steve hopes Munson hasn't noticed how bright red his face is. "Does that mean you'll help me?"
"I guess," he rolls his eyes. "But if you're just screwing around, I'm out."
"No, yeah, totally," Steve nods too hard, sends his hair cascading into his face. "Sounds good. How much?"
"Huh?" Eddie tilts his face up, giving Steve a perfect view of the smattering of faint freckles across the bridge of his nose.
"I said I'd pay you. What's the going rate for dnd lessons?"
"Oh, nah, free of charge, Harrington. Henderson would eat me alive if he knew I made you pay."
The smile they share is soft, tentative, and Steve doesn't notice the swathes of pink decorating Eddie's pale cheekbones.
---
They meet up in the drama room after the last bell. Eddie is waiting on the throne with his feet propped on the table, sipping a Mt. Dew. His eyes widen when Steve walks into the room.
"You're on time," he says.
Steve scoffs. "Why wouldn't I be?"
Eddie shrugs, sets his feet on the floor. "Just wasn't aware that the King put a lot of stock in punctuality."
"C'mon, man, I'm trying not to be that guy, and I'm definitely not king of anything. Unless maybe it's Family Video, but even then, that's Robin."
"You're kind of weird, Harrington, you know that?" Eddie's dimples bracket his smile. The sight does weird things in Steve's chest.
"I've been told, yeah." Steve smiles back. "Where do we start?"
They start with dice, with a character sheet.
"Chaotic-good human Paladin?" Eddie asks.
He shrugs. "That's what Dustin keeps screaming at me. I got no idea what any of it means."
"That's not entirely true," Eddie says. "You've kept up with me so far."
"Yeah, that's you. Dustin rambles and then accuses me of not listening when it's over my head. When he goes on long enough, I start to get a headache right here," Steve rubs the spot between his eyes.
"That kid," Eddie says with the right combination of affection and frustration. "I don't know, you seem to have picked up on some of the stuff he said. You have a solid idea on gameplay, at least. I'd say you're doing pretty good."
"Thanks," Steve laughs. "No migraine yet, so that's a point in your favor."
"Migraines?"
"Head trauma."
"Byers?"
"And Hargrove."
"That was Hargrove?" Eddie asks.
"Hit me in the head with a plate."
"What the fuck."
"He was pissed that Max was friends with Lucas. He came after them. I couldn't just let him--I think he would've killed Lucas."
Eddie nods, hands fiddling with a die. "No wonder those kids love you," he says.
"We've been through some shit together."
"Guess it makes more sense why you wanted to learn dnd."
"As much as it pains me to admit," Steve rolls his eyes. "I love to make those little shitheads happy."
"Well, based on the way they talk about you, you succeed."
"You too, you know?" Steve offers. "All I've heard about the last three months is 'Eddie's so cool,' 'Hellfire's so fun.'"
"Jealous?" Eddie laughs.
"Completely," Steve admits.
"Don't worry, Harrington, I'll make a nerd out of you yet."
---
They meetup after school every day they can over the next two weeks. At first, Steve is surprised that he doesn't really mind spending so much time with Munson, that he actually, kind of, has fun. And the more time they spend together, the more Eddie infiltrates his space. Leans into Steve's side as they sit next to each other, brushes their hands together, hovers over his shoulder, faces nearly touching, as he checks stuff on Steve's character sheet.
It makes Steve feel--well, it makes him think of what it would be like to run his fingers through the soft gloss of Eddie's curls; wonders what that plump mouth would be like pressed against his own; can't stop thinking about if Eddie is as vocal in bed as he is everywhere else. He knows he also likes guys, has for a while, but he's never in his life wanted someone this viscerally; so much he can feel the ache of it in his teeth.
It's the last day before the campaign for Will, and Steve is fucking sad. He thinks maybe Eddie is too. He's at least quieter than normal, explanations not at their usual fever pitch. An hour before they usually call it quits, he claps his hands together (too gently, too unlike himself), says, "That's it, Harrington. You're not going to be more ready than this."
"Right," Steve says. Can't help his eyes from darting over Eddie's face, aching to know what he's thinking. "You'll be there tomorrow?"
Eddie bends his head over his notebooks. "Nah, I don't need to intrude."
"But--"
"It's okay, Stevie. I get that it's family only." He looks like he really means it, but his eyes are sad, don't shine like they should.
Steve doesn't know what to say to that, just nods, and then there's nothing else. They stare at each other for a few very long, quiet seconds, before Eddie says, "I'll see you around, Harrington."
"Right, yeah. You too." And he walks out of the drama room with the heaviest heart he thinks he's ever had.
---
Steve thinks he won't miss Eddie. That if he doesn't dwell on those hours spent with Eddie, learning dnd, that the missing will go away.
It doesn't.
Which is how he finds himself back at the high school on Wednesday, standing in front of the drama room door, willing himself to go inside. Eddie's on the throne, the typical notebooks and binders and Mt. Dew cans clustered around him, but he's not engrossed in imagining up a new campaign for Hellfire. No, his head is in his hands, knees drawn up to his chest.
"Eddie?" Steve asks.
His head pops up, and even in the low light, Steve notices the silvery tracks of tears down his cheeks.
"Steve! What are you--" he hastily wipes at his face with his shirt sleeve. "What are you doing here?"
Steve's acting only on instinct, crossing the room and dropping to his knees, taking Eddie's jaw between his palms, thumbing away the wetness on his cheeks.
"Did someone hurt you?" he asks.
Eddie's laugh is wet. "Nah, Harrington. I only have myself to blame for this one."
"Can I do anything?"
"Are you trying to kill me?"
"Sorry?"
"You, Steve Harrington, kind and compassionate? Learn dnd to make your little nerd friends happy? Who are you?"
"I'm just me, man," Steve blushes. "But, uh, I came to thank you." He's still holding Eddie's face in his hands, can't help but notice the way he flushes, how his dark eyes dart away from Steve's.
"I really liked hanging out with you," Steve says. This close to Eddie, his mind doesn't quite feel like his own. All he can think of is big eyes, soft curls, full lips.
"Yo--you did?"
"So much," Steve whispers. He doesn't quite remember moving, but now their foreheads are pressed together, warm breath mingling, lips almost, almost touching.
"I liked it too," Eddie breathes. After a few seconds, he laughs. "Knew I'd make a nerd out of you, Harrington."
"Shut-up," Steve laughs.
"Make me," Eddie says, and it's just that easy. Steve crosses the space still separating them, presses his mouth against Eddie's.
The kiss is slow, exploratory, the gentle discovery of how they fit together, the promise of all the things they can do in the future, all the pleasure they can bring.
"I'm not a nerd," Steve says when they part.
"No, you're right. You're like a nerd by marriage. Nerd-in-law," Eddie giggles. His eyes are bright, face pink, the most beautiful thing Steve has ever seen.
"Shut-up," Steve giggles right back.
Eddie raises an eyebrow, the dare obvious, and Steve doesn't hesitate to kiss him again.
"You wanna get out of here?" Steve asks when they part, significantly more breathless, jeans significantly tighter, than when he arrived.
"You're gonna have to role persuasion for that, Stevie," Eddie smirks.

hiii!! i love ur writing it’s absolutely adorable 🥹🫶 i was wondering if you could write something about riki & reader and maybe the reader is just a little older than him like a few months to a year? and they are very adamant on giving him his space especially since he has dealt with… so much from older fans. but riki rlly likes the reader and he’s frustrated because he doesn’t want her to think of him like a kid maybe 🤔 but reader likes him back she is just scared bc she feels like what if she makes him uncomfortable? but then it has a happy ending because they talk it out & jungwon helps them 😭🫶 totally understand if u don’t want to take this request! even if u don’t, it’s alright i love ur writing sm
kiss her you fool
Tumblr media
pairing: idol!riki nishimura x idol!fem!reader, childhood bsf!yang jungwon x reader
synopsis: riki likes you. you like him. if the maths is right, you should be together. but riki left one variable unaccounted for. or in which riki must get to the bottom of why you are withholding your feelings for him if it's the last thing he does
warnings: reader is a year older, ANGST, mention of c-19, DISGUSTING OLD CREEPY FANS, mentions of sexual harassment, insecurity, problems of young debuting and discrimination, and crying, jealousy, swearing, appearance of riize's anton, riki being an absolute menace but a communication king 😤, romantic confessions, cringe but fluffy, proof-read before dinner soooo ☺️
word count: 2k+ library: enhypen bookshelf
author’s note: it's my first request 😭 i got youuuuuuu. i didn't mean for this to get so um well sappy and sad, got a bit carried away with the 'older fans' thing, but thank you so much for requesting! i hope this is up to par ♡︎ // song rec is titular but not really incorporated
Tumblr media
You had made a mistake.
A very big mistake.
Liking Riki Nishimura.
How exactly that happened... well almost four years ago now, in 2020.
The practical shut down of all things physical in the industry. No concerts, no fan meetings, no live performances, restricted filming... the entire world had gone quiet.
Yet, as humans had done since the dawn of time, there was adaptation. Online concerts that were pre-recorded and emphasised stage performances, masked filming with very few staff, well.. masked everything...
And in the midst of all of this, was I-LAND. The survival show that would form a new boy group. The same show that your childhood best friend, Yang Jungwon, was participating in. As his friend, former label mate, and a representative of BigHit, you were very enthusiastic, promoting the show when you could on your lives and consistently voting for him, producing the theme song, even coming on the last episode with your seniors.
Jungwon did it. He got first place. With almost 1.5 million votes. To withhold all your tears that day was a heavy task. You didn't want anyone to think that the votes had been manipulated due to your influence so you had kept a bit quiet about your relation to Jungwon. But you were just so proud.
People eventually found out soon though. Months before ENHYPEN was to debut with the claims that it just made sense that you two were childhood friends.
Along with him came six other people that you would soon make lifelong friends with, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Niki. You debuted quite early and despite being the youngest leader ever to debut and the maknae, friends were hard to come by (surprise surprise). So you welcomed these with open arms. Any friend of Jungwon was going to be a friend of yours.
You cherished all the members in their own ways but you couldn't lie and say Riki wasn't special to you. He reminded you of yourself. So young yet so passionate. Furthermore, he was Japanese. Living in a foreign country by yourself at such at such as young age... it had to be tough.
So in a way, you took him in. By that you meant your mother had basically accepted him as her son and you took care of him as if you were his older sister. You helped him with his Korean, your mother invested into learning Japanese cuisine so he didn't feel too homesick, always sending you with tiffins of food to the company or to the dorm, you stayed by him during the tough times... you made sure that he never felt alone, even for a second. You promised him.
The thing about debuting so young was that it often attracted the wrong type of people. You had gone through it and were still going through it despite turning twenty soon. Older fans... they seemed to love you. Especially, older men. From shouting your name loudly and asking for cute poses at fan signs to genuinely asking to marry you and specifically positioning their cameras at a certain angle to capture under your skirt... It was beyond you.
And Riki was going through the same thing, primarily with older women. Asking to marry him, seeing him shirtless, inappropriate fan fiction... the list of crazy was endless.
But your group and especially ENHYPEN wasn't having any of it. You all tried to the best of your ability to protect Riki but it just never seemed to stop. There were just so many weird people out there. It was infuriating.
You stuck to your promise. You made sure Riki felt safe and you could tell it was working. He was always honest with you, at his most vulnerable. He could share anything with you and he'd feel comfortable. You were the one person closest to him, there was no doubt about it.
But then you had to fuck it up. You got feelings.
You didn't realise it at first. But by the end of last year, you were sure. The long hugs, the stares that lasted a second more than they should've, Riki's abrupt clinginess... all of the mundane things were suddenly making you flustered and open the opportunity to having arrhythmia with all your fluctuating heartbeats.
You weren't sure what to do. It terrified you. How were you any different from the older fans? Well, of course there was a difference. But that year difference between the both of you... it was imposing.
So you did the only thing that made any sense to you. You gave him space.
Tumblr media
You thought the space you were giving wasn't too obvious. You just wanted Riki to feel lighter and free.
But he noticed.
Immediately.
Riki noticed your wide smiles were now brief, the fewer texts you shared, the pathetic excuses you made to not hang out as much, the way you never sat with him to eat your mom's food... that the space you gave him was also physical given that you no longer sat right next to him but opted to sit diagonal to him (that way you weren't invading him too much).
Riki wasn't the type to beat around the bush. He directly confronted you. A trait that came naturally to him but was only furthered by the ever so direct Jungwon.
When you told him that you just wanted to give him a bit of space, given that he was older now and the whole plight of dealing with his 'fans'... Riki was in turmoil.
On one hand, an ever small part of him was touched that you cared so much. Not that was a surprise. You had the biggest heart he had ever seen.
But for the most part, he was frustrated. See, the thing was... he liked you too. A lot. Maybe too much for a normal human. It wasn't that you took care of him like a sister (if anything that combination would've made him throw up), but it was just you.
You entirely made him like you. Before he debuted, Riki was a big fan of you. He admired your work and passion, especially for as someone as young as you. Not to mention, he's pretty sure that you're the prettiest person in the entire universe. Never did he think he'd actually meet you. But then you visited I-LAND, twice. Once for the theme song and second for the last episode. And Riki was in awe of you. He couldn't believe it!
But that was nothing in comparison to finding out that he was debuting with ENHYPEN, a group that so happened to have Jungwon, your childhood best friend, and would often meet you to have their songs produced and composed.
And then you took him in.
He remembered it like it was yesterday. Heck, he could never forget it even if he tried.
You found Riki head down, crying alone in the dance practice room and you were immediately by his side. He was having an internal crisis.
It had been a few months since he had debuted and everything was going so well. ENHYPEN was popular. But his Korean was barely up to par, he couldn't keep up with everything that was going on, it was fuzzy in his head, people were commenting on his ethnicity and his looks in ways that discriminated him, he missed authentic Japanese food, he missed his annoying sisters, he missed his dad, his mom... he missed home. God, in that moment, he just wanted to go home.
You sat next to him, listening to all his worries quietly. By the time he was finished, he looked up at you with puffy red eyes that made your heart ache and apologised for burdening you with his problems.
He actually apologised.
For a moment, you were speechless.
So being an experienced person (well a year by age and a few more by career), you did what anyone else would do. Well, you hoped.
You wiped the remaining tears off of his face with your thumb and held his hands with yours. You looked him directly in the eye and told him, "You having nothing to be sorry about, Riki-ah. This... this is all normal to feel. To some extent, I know how you feel. I promise you that you'll get through this. I'll be by your side the entire time, hmm? I'm won't leave you alone. I promise."
With that, you brought him into a hug that he reciprocated. And this was the very moment Riki began to have feelings for you. After all of that and with everything you had done for him, how could he not like you?
Tumblr media
Riki's frustration was beginning to peak. Ever since you told him you were giving him space, he had decided to the complete opposite. He was going to be up in your business 24 fucking 7 (if he could).
If you were going to sit away him, Riki would make his hyungs move so he could sit right next to you.
You were too far from him? He'd drag your chair close to him.
Your poor text response rate? Unannounced, Riki would walk into the room, rest his head on your lap, and scroll through TikTok, showing you all the videos he found funny.
But he needed to up his game. They say that flirting is a mastery of sort. It takes time, skill, finesse, if you will. Riki, however, is a fast learner.
"Cute hoodie, noona. But you'd look better in mine."
Backstage, you found him waiting outside your dressing room, on his phone. You sighed, shaking your head. "You're a living nightmare, Riki. You know that?"
Riki looked up from his phone, a smirk tugging away at his lips. His eyes grinned at you with their hanging lids. "So you do dream about me? That's nice to know."
When you gave him your most miffed expression, a soft laugh fell from his lips. "You look so cute when you're mad, noona."
The other time you were at HYBE cafeteria. You had finally given into your stomach's needs after slugging away for hours at a song. You spotted a nice yellow iced cupcake... it was calling your name. Just as you went to pick it up, Riki's hand intervened. His fingers brushed against yours, making you immediately retract your fingers. "R-Riki... yah, I was going to get that."
"I know," Riki said, amused by your flustered expression. "I'm going to get it for you."
Then came RIIZE's Anton. An idol who happened to be the same age, also produced music, also spoke English, had the most softest voice known to mankind, devilishly handsome, tall without stupid vitamins... and happened to be shipped heavily with you by everyone and their mother.
Also known as: Riki's worst enemy.
You were both coming out of the studio when Riki had caught the both of you on the way. From how he saw things, he didn't like it one bit. He didn't like the eye-smile Anton had when he looked at you nor did he like the smile you had at the poor joke he had cracked.
Hands shoved in his pockets, Riki stopped in front of you, interrupting your conversation. "Oh, hey, noona."
"Hmm? Oh, hey, Riki. Anton, this is–"
Completely ignoring the Boston-born but moved to New Jersey whatever-the-fuck guy, Riki just smiled at you. "Noona, you look so pretty today. What's the occasion? Me?"
You went home and screamed in your pillow that day (and apologised profusely to Anton (he said it was okay because anyone with a single brain cell could tell you and Riki were close)).
You had had enough.
The next day you had stomped into the dance practice room with Riki and Jungwon following after you because you had met them just as you were entering. Closing the door, you turned to your childhood friend who was placing his bag down.
With one hand pointing to Riki, "Tell him to stop it."
Jungwon raised a brow, looking at you incredulously. "Stop... what exactly?"
"I– stop... stop this," You stressed when Riki shuffled closer to you.
Jungwon looked at you helplessly. He knew how you felt. But he also know how Riki felt. In fact, he was the one who suggested him to be more obvious with his feelings... resulting in this. Clearly, Riki had misunderstood being obvious with being a bit more invasive. Probably, Jungwon's fault... What you two needed to do was communication.
Just as Jungwon opened his mouth again, he watched you push Riki so he stood a metre away from you. "Stay over there."
So much for communication.
Riki pursed his lips, pretending to ponder your suggestion. He took a step closer to you. "But I want to be next to you."
Your eye twitched in frustration. "Riki!" You cried out, balling your fists around the invisible air with annoyance. "Can't you just stop? I told you... you need space. With everything that's being going on for three years... I'm worried about you."
All the humour that was sported by Riki had disappeared in the matter of seconds. He chewed down on his lip, eyes darting around the room, registering what you had just said. He sucked in a sharp breath. "I'm not a kid, noona. Not anymore. I'm older. I have thoughts. and... I have feelings too."
You blinked, letting out an exasperated sigh. "I know but... I just... I just wanted you to gave some space. Some time to think for yourself as a person. It's important for you."
Riki's tongue poked the inside of his cheek. His eyes fell to you, meeting your tired gaze directly. "You said you'd never leave me alone."
Your eyes suddenly softened at his words while your heart ached. "Riki-ah, I'm not–"
"You promised, noona," Riki whispered, a flash of hurt crossing him. He took a step closer while you took another back. "You're afraid of something."
You furrowed your brows. "W-What? I'm not afraid–" You started to defend yourself but Riki cut you off again, not heeding to the warnings Jungwon was calling out.
"No, you are. What are you so afraid of, noona? Tell me... we can fix together. This time I'll help you," Riki persuaded, still inching towards you.
"Riki," You breathed out. God, you were a mess. All you emotions were everywhere. You didn't know what to think... what to say. "Why are you making this so difficult?"
Riki's hands stretched out, encasing yours with his. "I'm not making anything difficult. I think you're just in denial. In denial that I really like you. In denial that you like me just as much."
Your heart skipped a beat at the sudden confrontation. The guard you had built for the past few weeks had come flying down after taking every hit from Riki. "I... I don't wont you to feel uncomfortable," You confessed, "I don't won't you to feel pressured because I'm older than you... because of everything we've done together."
"Noona, I–" Riki's shoulders fell at your admission. God, the fact you were even thinking of that was entirely disheartening. "I don't feel pressured at all. You could never make me feel uncomfortable. I– you're the only person in the universe who actually makes me feel comfortable. No offence, hyung."
Jungwon raised his hands, gesturing his acceptance and dismissal at the same time.
Riki kept his eyes on you, hands tightening around yours. "I'm grateful for everything you've done for me but that's not the only reason I like you. I wish you could see yourself the way I see you. You might not know it but you welcome everyone with open arms, the most beautiful woman I know, but don't tell my mom that, you're so smart, hardworking, caring... you make me want to be a better person. You make me happy, noona."
You blinked rapidly. Were you dreaming right now? Was this a prank of some sort? You removed your hands from Riki's, using the tips of your fingers to pinch your skin of your wrist. A small yelp slipped past your mouth.
Riki jumped slightly, startled. His hands immediately returned to yours, gently rubbing the affected area. "Noona," He chuckled, "This is real. All of it's real. My feelings for you are real."
"Just making sure," You laughed softly before sighing. A wave of heat washed over you and your mouth felt dry. What were you to say now? How do you respond to something so silly yet so valid?
"You can just say you like me, noona," Riki said, eyes beaming down at you in amusement.
Of course you had said that out loud.
You sucked in a sharp breath, slowly exhaling. "I... I like you, Riki," You mumbled.
Riki narrowed his eyes. "I can't hear you," He teased, grinning from ear to ear.
"Nope, nope." You retracted your hands. "I take it back. I'm taking it back... right now."
Riki laughed, reaching out for your hand, only to pull you into a hug. He lifted you gently, spinning you around with pure happiness rushing into his brain.
"Riki," You cried out, "I'm going to feel sick," You said, even though a full blown smile was on your face.
"It's okay," He retorted back, slowly coming to a stop and putting you back on the floor. "If you do..." His hand darted out to push back your hair behind your ear. "I'll take care of you. I promise."
After a brief minute, Riki turned to the empty area where Jungwon once stood. "Where did hyung go?"
"I think he left after you said I was beautiful," You cooed.
A flush of red tinted Riki's ears and cheeks. He folded his arms, getting defensive. "I... Well... it's true!"

(I'm sorry it took me so long, I realized I wanted to participate in Kinktober after my ask box filled up with requests, then life got crazy, I moved, started a new job, got a baby (cat)..) CW: Gang bang, GN!Reader, multiple penetration, licking, both male and female partners, abduction, monster fuckers, non-con, forced oral, non human genitalia, urination
It's been two months since (Reader) fell.
They wondered if anyone had noticed they were missing.
Had their boss called the police? Maybe the apartment manager when (Reader) failed to pay their rent?
It didn't matter.
No one would ever find them.
There was a trail leading through a large patch of woods behind (Reader's) hometown that they often enjoyed hiking, but a couple of months ago (Reader) had made the mistake of traveling too far off from the trail. The young adult quickly became lost in the thicket, getting turned around as the sun went down. Then, they fell.
The hole seemed to go on forever, and they would have died, or at least broken something important, if a pile of soft bedding hadn't cushioned their landing.
"My, my, my.. what little snack has fallen into my chamber?"
(Reader) struggled in the mass of leaves and furs, frightened and disoriented from their sudden descent into the earth. But before they could sink deeper into the remains of animals unfortunate enough to have fallen before them, (Reader) was hoisted into the air by a strong hand clenching a fistful of their sweater. A giant creature larger than a suped up truck held (Reader) at eye level.
"Oh? What a cute little snack." The feminine voice echoed through (Reader's) skull. Whatever it was that now had (Reader) captive looked like a human woman that had a bug grow to a horrific size within her; soft pieces of human like flesh stretched out over a hard exoskeleton, tearing in multiple spots.
An exposed, human like skull molding into mandibles was presented as her face, with insect eyes lodged within it's sockets.
Because of the unrealistic, dreamlike scenario (Reader) found themselves in, they responded numbly, "Please don't eat me." It wasn't confidence that kept their voice from quaking, but shock.
Their request seemed to amuse the monstrous woman. She chuckled loudly, both within (Reader's) mind in a beautiful laugh and from her metal-like chest. The sound that reverberated from her body sounded like a knife being drug across a pipe. Her strong hand shifted, moving from (Reader's) sweater, holding them up like a kitten by their scruff, to cradling (Reader) against her bare chest. The chest was flat and without breast tissue, but it still felt effeminate to (Reader). Perhaps it was because of the soft curves above her hips, or the slender shape of her nape, but it made (Reader) feel almost embarrassed, exposed, in the nude woman's embrace.
The parts that resembled human flesh were cold like a corpse, chilled from the hard insides. Her skin was a dulled earthy color, and the longer (Reader) was pressed against it, the more the reality of their situation sank into their mind, transforming the numbness into paralyzing fear. And the monster holding (Reader) gently to her bosom smelled the change in their sweat, further entertaining her.
"Do I frighten you, little one?" Her hypnotizing voice that telepathically sang into (Reader's) head spoke in unison with the actual voice of screeching, ear piercing scraping of sharp plates.
(Reader) went rigid. This wasn't a dream. This was real. Their limbs involuntarily shook. How should the respond? What could they say in this situation?
"No." They lied. They didn't know how they found the strength to speak, but the lie tumbled out before they could clamp their mouth tight.
Another laugh rocked (Reader's) weak heart within their rib cage.
"How sweet.." An abnormally long, mostly armored finger stroked (Reader's) face. "You lie to the Queen.."
(Reader) was laid down upon what they assumed to be the Queen's bed, a more organized stack of furs and leaves. The Queen stood above (Reader), giving them a better view of her body. She had two sets of arms attached to a slender abdomen, with no belly button, her gently rounded stomach ended in a strange split at her pelvis( what (Reader) guessed to be her genitals), and from her hips were very large, inhumanly shaped thighs, without any skin texture, attached to rough and bumpy legs bent backwards and elongated, ending in insect like feet.
"Shall I eat you, little one?"
(Reader) began to tear up, feeling their bladder about to betray them. Their thighs quivered under the pressure of their fear.
"Or.. shall I keep you?" The Queen's upper hands traveled up over her chest, caressing herself, as her lower pair made circles on her lower stomach, inching closer to her exposed slit.
A horrified noise escaped (Reader's) nose as they felt warmth leak out, soiling their pants. The adult began silently sobbing, heaving as they failed at holding in both their crying and their urine. Before them, the Queen seemed to become excited, her antenna twitching as the air filled with (Reader's) scent, one only she could detect. Animalistic and hungry, she fell onto her hands and what appeared to be knees, crawling over (Reader) and tearing off their bottoms with unnatural strength.
(Reader's) body was revealed against their will, and they could no longer hold back their terrified screams. Their hollering didn't phase the woman as she felt their piss stained underwear. Her skeleton like fingers ripped open their wet fabric, purring as she investigated the human body, a reproductive body unlike her own. And it aroused her.
"You are an adult.. I can smell it.." Her mandibles opened, revealing a human like bottom jaw, with sharp, carnivorous teeth, and a long tongue dripping with saliva.
(Reader) couldn't fight back; their struggling didn't budge the Queen as she lowered her mouth onto (Reader's) wet lower half. Her long muscle explored (Reader's) warmth, before finding their ass. The skin on (Reader's) fists scraped and bled as they weakly beat the Queen's head, begging her to stop as her tongue entered their clenched hole.
"Stop!" Their screams fell on deaf ears as the organ seemed to elongate, pressing up even further into (Reader's) colon painfully. It pulsated as she tasted (Reader), breathing in deeply as she did so, relishing in their scent.
Her exposed septum rubbed against (Reader's) most sensitive place, exciting their nerves against their wishes. They fought against it, but their body began to feel pleasure despite (Reader's) emotional anguish. And the Queen could taste it.
The change in (Reader's) smell spurred on the creature, speeding up her movements as she fucked (Reader) with her tongue faster, enjoying the leaking fluids mixing with (Reader's) pee. Their stomach muscles tightened as their climax built.
......................................
(Reader) cried out a pathetic "No!" as they came into the Queen's mouth, writhing under her as their muscles spasmed.
But the Queen wasn't done with them yet..
Two months later, and (Reader) was glued to the Queen's side. Her new favorite mate, she never let (Reader) further than an arm's distance away from her, regardless of what she was doing. (Reader) had to be present for some of the most disturbing activities they had ever seen, including the Queen laying eggs. The Queen often told (Reader) that they were (Reader's) children as well, frightening (Reader) as well as confusing them. It was impossible, (Reader) thought, but they never saw the Queen mating with other monsters.
And there were other monsters.
Males and females, all significantly smaller than the Queen, hitting about (Reader's) height, who would occasionally enter the Queen's chambers to retrieve the eggs or bring food for the Queen and (Reader). Each creature was just as disgusting as their queen, with flesh stretched uncomfortably across ant like bodies. But it wasn't their anatomy that disgusted (Reader) the most: it was the way they stared at them. Monsters unable to blink, they never turned away from (Reader's) face whenever they entered the room. (Reader) didn't know what they were thinking, and wasn't sure if they wanted to know.
But they couldn't take it any more.
The Queen hardly slept, not needing to sleep as often as (Reader) did, only sleeping once since (Reader) fell, but when she did, she was out. Out hard enough where she was practically dead to the world.
And it seemed as though it was time for her to sleep again.
(Reader) stood by the drowsy Queen, naked. Their clothes were destroyed after their arrival, and the creatures had no need for clothing, so nothing was available to replace their hoodie and pants. It was a discomfort that (Reader) never got over.
"I shall see you soon, little one.." The Queen clicked softly as she curled up into the bedding.
'I'd rather die.' (Reader) bitterly thought, scrunching up their nose to prevent themselves from snarling like a caged animal. Although they did their best to keep their hatred off of their face, the Queen chuckled, seemingly taking joy in (Reader's) rage.
'You won't be laughing for long..'
They waited for what they hoped was an hour after the Queen passed out, trying to count the seconds down without the aide of a clock or ability to see the sky. Then, they took their chance.
On all fours, muscles sore from lack of use, body weak from nearly constant abuse, (Reader) crawled as silently as they could out of the den, unaware of the bemused twitch of the Queen's antenna.
They were silent, breathing such shallow breaths that (Reader) felt light headed.
But what they didn't account for was the stench.
(Reader's) tender sex and ass smelled of their's and the Queen's intimacy, even though (Reader) couldn't smell it, the rest of the hive certainly did.
As they snuck through the halls, the hive were alerted immediately of (Reader's) departure by the telepathic Queen, and were on the hunt for (Reader), following their smell.
It only took one to see (Reader's) cute little behind as they pathetically tried to crawl past for every member of the hive to know where (Reader) was, and for every worker not actively caring for younger members to immediately beeline for (Reader's) location.
And it didn't take long, for (Reader) to become hopelessly lost.
Panic began to fill their lungs and suffocate the poor captive.
"It is you!" A raspy voice exclaimed behind (Reader), startling a yelp out of the human. A male stood behind (Reader) with his hands clawing at his chest as if to steady his heart.
Fright rocked (Reader) to the core. "Please don't kill me.." They muttered nervously, already spun around on their knees to beg for their life.
The worker didn't seem to be listening, his antenna rapidly flicking about as he rambled under his breath.
"So sweet.. so cute.. so soft.. our mate.."
From his pelvis an endophallus emerged, pointed at (Reader's) face. The realization of (Reader's) fate caused a surge of adrenaline, propelling them in the opposite direction, running as fast as they could move their legs.
As they ran they heard voices down every corridor they passed, chanting words of love and attraction for their "mate". There seemed to be no escape; each hall (Reader) nearly turned down had voices calling out for them. They continued trying to run where there were no sounds, but eventually found themselves in a giant room of furs and leaves:
(Reader) had stumbled upon the sleeping chambers of the adult workers.
Tears filled their eyes as the room began to fill from multiple entrances with workers excitedly crying out for (Reader).
"It is!-"
"Our mate!-"
"Finally!-"
They wasted no time pulling (Reader) to the ground, ready to prove their love for their Queen's favorite mate.
As (Reader) opened their mouth to scream a long tongue entered and thrust itself deep into their throat. Choking and gagging, they were too busy trying to push the creature kissing them away to cover up their lower half. Like a dog pile, (Reader) was swarmed from all sides.
The workers fought one another just for the chance to touch (Reader). The second a crevice on their body was violated by a sharp inhuman dick, rubbing wherever they could reach, the creature would be thrown off, replacing the cock for a tongue or a hand. Sharp fingers massaged (Reader's) swollen body as every every hole was filled and every fold caressed. The long tongue was exchanged for a monstrous dick, but even that cold metallic-like phallus suffocating (Reader) was replaced by a female's vaginal slit as soon as the male filled (Reader's) stomach with a sticky liquid.
There was so much being touched at once that (Reader) couldn't focus on all the ways they were being assaulted.
If their ass was getting rammed by a cock, and their mouth was occupied by something else, with no holes available the creatures found other ways to fuck (Reader); folding their arms and knees and masturbating into the folds of their soft flesh; using (Reader's) hands like dildos and forcing (Reader) to enter their bodies; licking the sweat off of whatever body part they could reach while touching themselves impatiently.. Even the shallow button of their naval was molested by prodding tongues and fingers.
(Reader) was painted over and over again by fluids. All the while, the monsters would sing praises for (Reader) between their panting, grunts and moans. There seemed to be no end, with dozens of men pumping warm slime into (Reader's) stomach and ass while women rode out their orgasms on (Reader's) body.
Everything went black at one point, passing out due to a combination of a lack of air and exhaustion.
But when (Reader) woke up, they found that their body was still being used as a cum dump for another wave of workers. Their body was past the point of over stimulation, incapable of pleasure. It was pulsating electricity rolling across their abdominal muscles, contracting without (Reader's) permission.
They didn't know how long they were passed around for, but it was impossible to keep track of the number of monsters taking turns using (Reader's) body. Blood was dripping out of every orifice asking with cum and arousal fluid, the sharpness of their big like cocks and the hardness of the women's pelvises tearing (Reader's) body both inside and out.
The last thought (Reader) had before going completely dumb, was wishing that they hadn't left the Queen's side..
(A/N again, I'm so sorry it took so long! And that my drafts wouldn't let me edit your story anymore 😭 I hope you see this, Ant Anon!)

Tumblr media
diluc ragnvindr ★↷
diluc, on the outside, was seen as the rather perfect lover. someone you could easily take home to parents and they would be so impressed, someone who is a classic romantic always aiming to sweep you off your feet.
and while he could be like that sometimes, some rare moments that only and very few knew off made you scoff at any comments about how perfect of a lover he must be. afterall, arguments always tore holes in relationships if not dealt with properly.
normally diluc was attentive and was very good with arguments. you two normally wouldn't worry about them. but sometimes his work life balanced suffered and he brought home all anger he held and unleashed it on you.
this was when problems arised as you both knew he shouldn't do that to you. so when the argument reached a rather harsh point you took the situation into your own hands and left dawn winery. you would return to your residence until diluc calmed down and would properly talk to you.
he stewed in his anger for much longer than he preferred and when he started to calm down he went looking for you. he assumed you would still be in the manor, just elsewhere. but he couldn't find you. and his heart absolutely sunk when adeline informed him you had left ages ago.
he cursed himself for being so reckless and he no longer cared about anything else and knew he had to try and sort things out - hoping you would give him such an opportunity.
when you saw diluc on your doorstep you still had half a mind to ignore him but you knew that would get you nowhere and you would be lying to yourself if you said you didn't miss him. and as soon as you opened the door you could see the noticeable lift in his eyes upon seeing you again.
the silence was quickly swamped with diluc's profuse apologies and regrets. and while he was rambling away you found yourself compelled to crawl into his arms. and so you did. and as soon as you hugged him, and he hugged back immediately shutting up. he basked in the moment as told himself he would never do something like this again as he would be dammed that he should ever lose you.
adeptus xiao ★↷
anyone that ever knew the adepti would know he never understood feelings. in fact one could take a guess from looks alone and assume that he struggles with emotional intelligence. and going into a relationship you were well aware of this and thought you would never mind.
and for the most part you didn't. because after the first major argument you two had he quickly learned that if he wanted to keep what you two had he would have to try and learn. try and learn human emotions. which he very quickly did, while he didn't express them he became surprisingly good at reading yours in particular.
but that didn't mean petty arguments still arose. petty arguments that sometimes would push you over the edge. as sometimes it felt as if you were the only one fighting for this relationship.
sometimes seeing xiao arrive home with scratches and such worried you. while you knew that it was minor and probably did nothing - it did make your mind over exaggerate other scenarios. and when you expressed your concerns, he would brush you off.
and eventually he started arguing back, saying harsh comments that he didn't mean but that didn't stop him from saying them. you were rather shocked it got to this so you left. and the minute you disappeared from his line of vision he panicked.
he realised his mistakes. and he knew he would have to own up to them. he was rarely used to people truly caring for him and when they did he lost them. and so he immediately set out to find you and when he did you were still fuming but to him, atleast you were safe.
he tried to apologize but he struggled deeply to find the right words to express how he truly felt. but seeing him try made you calm down - you knew he was trying his hardest. and you calmed down enough to head back with him and try talk it over properly again.
kaedehara kazuha ★↷
arguments were a rare occurrence with kazuha. he was very rational when it came to it but also did try and avoid getting to the point of an argument with you. but he knew some where unavoidable and that's why he would want to solve them as quick as possible.
most arguments did stem from mistakes. more commonly kazuha being swayed into drinking quite a bit with beidou. now she ment no harm by getting him to enjoy himself with the crew, but in that state he did start saying things he never meant.
so when you were trying to get him to bed as everyone else on the crux had retired for that night, he proved to be rather difficult. so much so that he started hurling insults your way. you knew he meant nothing by it but it still hurt.
and eventually you needed a minute or two to yourself. a few minutes turned into a couple of hours as you decided maybe he needed some space and eventually you drifted to sleep in the spare room on the crux that beidou originally gave you.
waking up the next morning, kazuha had a rather annoying headache but immediately noticed you weren't beside him. and then everything came flooding back to him and guilt consumed him whole. stepping out his room he realised how early it actually was so decided to look for you as silently as possible.
and when he found you in the spare room the guilt seemed to increase. he didn't want to wake you but he wanted to apologize. so he settled for sliding into bed next to you before apologizing even if you couldn't hear as he wrapped his arms around you. this way when you woke, he could sort it out with you.
tighnari ★↷
some may call tighnari stubborn and in retaliation he would just say he was dedicated to his work. and both of those were true. you were well aware that his work often stressed him out and he became very stubborn. and rightfully you didn't like it when he brought it home.
especially after you had a difficult day. wanting to see your boyfriend after a long day just to find him taking his anger out on you for a simple question. you only asked him a simple 'how was your day?' and it seemed as though he hated you.
and so you started retaliating his behaviour in the same way. forming a rather difficult argument. so much so that tighnari said a particularly harsh comment before storming out of your shared residence. you practically scoffed before deciding you had enough and wanted just to go to bed.
tighnari hardly got far before the argument registered in his mind. his ears flattening against his head as he felt regret. but another issue was that he wasn't that great with emotions, so he silently feared that he would make it worse should he do the right thing and turn back to apologize.
but he knew that should he let it last, it would only break the relationship more. so he turned and headed back to apologize. and when he arrived he caught you heading to bed. but it appeared you had no intentions on sleeping with him. and this made his ears and tail sink even further.
and before he knew it apology after apology spilt from his lips. you stared at him and you could feel him pull at your heart strings but you knew should he not learn, this would be a recurring problem. so you gave him a hug and returned to the couch. and he understood.
you two would talk it over in the morning but tighnari barely slept as your missing presence really disturbed his sleep. so much so that in the middle of the night he managed to settle next to you on the couch and almost immediately fell asleep.
freminet ★↷
to many people, they knew freminet was rarely expressive. and even from a distance it didn't take much to figure out that he struggled to express emotions. you knew this going into the relationship and you knew you would have to be patient with him.
but seemingly because of your relationship, he did make an effort to try and get better at expressing emotions. after all communication in different ways is very important. so he knew that this would be a weak point in the relationship but so did you.
and you always told him that he didn't have to try and learn as you couls help him figure it out along the way. but that being said, arguments were very rare. and when they occured they were very different to other arguments.
whenever an argument happened they were always ovee small insignificant reasons. and each time freminet went into this isolated state. he blocked out everything around him and ignored you, secretly hoping the issue went away but this time all it achieved was you going away.
you couldn't help but feel slightly bad for leaving so abruptly but you truly did need time to calm down. and if anything him ignoring you was worse than him arguing back. but freminet had panicked when you left and immediately wanted to find you and apologize.
and you barely heard him until you felt his arms wrap around your midsection as he apologized. and you knew how hard he was trying so you awkwardly shuffled in his grip to return the embrace. you two stayed like taht a little while longer as then you two could properly talk it over.
dottore ★↷
dottore was quite honestly far from being the perfect lover. and to many from the outside they would fear for the people daring enough to be in a relationship with him. but you knew differently. sure he had a very different way of showing affection but maybe you preferred it that way.
and he was a rather rational man - more so when it came to you. so arguments were rare and often dealt with swiftly. but for all the knowledge he had he was very inexperienced in emotional intelligence. so often could be stubborn or dissmissive of your feelings.
a common argument for you two was his work. not so much the fatui part, but the fact that he would most of the time choose to spend all his time in the lab for days on end without speaking to you. rightfully, this made you mad and for a while his segments did dampen this.
but you wanted to see your actual lover not his clones. and eventually he kept needing more and more in the lab. so you decided that if he wasn't going to acknowledge you, you weren't going to acknowledge him. so from the minute you next saw him, you ignored him.
he had little time for your antics. his experiment didn't go anywhere near how he wanted it to go and he did want to see you but now you were ignoring him. ao his already thin patience ram thinner and he eventually made the snide comment about your so called 'childish' behaviour. and eventually an argument ensued.
you had enough of him and left. atleast his segments had more emotional sense than he did. and it was one if the older segments that convinced him to apologize to you. so when he saught you out and found you he immediately dissmissed any segments you found company with.
you still ignored him up until you heard him apologize. you had half a mind to tease him but you knew how hard he struggled with stuff like this so you let him continue. he rambled on and on about how he promised he wouldn't do it again and how sorry he was. and eventually, very reluctantly, he opened his arms as if asking for a hug.
and you felt compelled to agree. you stayed in his embrace as he made his final promise. he soon came to realise actually how much you meant to him and you better believe him that he would do anything to keep you happy with him.

There was always something strange and unlikely about these three from the moment you met them.
They were all hiding secrets. According to you, hiding secrets was one of the most common parts of human nature. You were not interested in knowing what they were all hiding, but your curious mind was obsessed with knowing what the holy trinity of the Justice League was hiding beneath their sleek and sophisticated veneer of heroes; what no one would dare doubt or question.
The price of your curiosity was more costly than you could have ever imagined, a debt that would have to be repaid. Now you were part of this madness, and no matter how much you wanted to, you couldn't escape.
The good news was that you didn't want to.
You knew that the moment you felt the three of them completely, you were content to belong.
It was just hard to think of anything else when you found yourself tied to a chair, completely naked and unable to move while three pairs of blue eyes analyzed you.
The beautiful princess of Themyscira had no shame in digging into your sweet crotch. Her fingers slid across your sodden vaginal lips with a sound so vulgarly obscene that it caused you to inadvertently stir in your chair.
You looked intently at the two male figures as you tried to get as close to Diana as your body would allow so you could kiss her and feel her fingers go deeper inside you.
But before you could reach her lips, you were brutally pushed away by the man of steel, who had the clear intention of tasting your mouth first. Not that you were complaining; Clark's tongue was heavenly. It had a strange but hot connection to your lips, so it made you a mess right away. Who would have thought that Superman's ultimate power would be to soak his victims so easily?
Still, you didn't deserve them to be nice to you. On the contrary, you should be punished for insubordination. What you did was unforgivable.
In your defense, you didn't know that you were exclusive to the trio and couldn't sleep with other people. The rules weren't very clear when you met them, or when they started their no-strings-attached sex adventures.
Of course, you were not exclusive to anyone, and you planned to make that clear in the future. Right now, you were too busy cumming on Diana's fingers drilling your pussy that you didn't have enough time to think about anything else.
The adoration the Bat had for the way your pussy enveloped him so warmly brought out the most dominant and morbid part of his inner self. The sight of his cock moving in and out of your little hole at the same time your mouth was happily eating Clark's erection and your fingers were eating Diana's clit was enough to bring you to the verge of orgasm.
You gagged as the tip brushed against your uvula. You couldn't even concentrate enough because of how hard he was penetrating you. The pleasure was embracing.
— Look at our little slut. She can't even concentrate on sucking a good cock while she's being fucked. - Wayne commented. He kept going right into her sweet spot; faster and faster, more and more precise.
— She was too bad. Should we give her a prize though? She always takes us so well. - Kent continues, asking. You're beginning to control the rhythm of your mouth, although it's still a little difficult in some ways.
— Oh, Hera! - moans the princess of Themyscira. - That feels so good. - Her fingers can't resist trying to help themselves so she can come on your hand.
This is definitely the best part of the day, the one you enjoyed the most. And of course that was the guilty pleasure that came with keeping a secret. The secret the four of you shared.

I'm reading the 'Age of Surveillance Capitalism' book by Shoshana Zuboff, and it is haunting me, making me feel uncomfortable and making me want to move offline.
We've all been aware that google, facebook, and all other digital tech companies are taking our data and selling it to advertisers, but according to the book, that is not the end goal.
The book goes into the rise of google, and how it made itself better by constantly studying the searches people were inputting, and learning how to offer better information faster. Then, they were able to develop ways to target adverts, without even selling the data, but by making their own decisions of what adds should be targeted at what audience. But they kept collecting more and more data, and basically studying human behaviour the way scientists study animals, without their knowledge or consent. Then they bought youtube, precisely because youtube had such vast amounts of human behaviour that could be stored and studied.
But they're not only using that data to target adds at us. They've been collecting data in ways that feel unexpected and startling to me. And whenever they're challenged or confronted with it, they pretend it was a mistake, or unintentional, and it's scary how far they've been able to get away with it.
For example, during their street-view data collecting, the google car had been connecting to every wifi available and taking encrypted, personal data from households. When they got found out, they've explained it was not intentional, and a fault of a lone researcher who had gone rouge, and they evaded getting sued or being held accountable for it at all. Countries have created new laws and regulations and google kept evading it and in the end they claimed 'you know if you keep trying to regulate us, we'll just do things secretly'. Which is a wild thing to say and expect to get away with!
Another thing that struck me was that governments, which at first wanted to restrict data collection, later asked tech companies to monitor and prevent content connected to terrorism, and the companies didn't like the idea of being a tool of the government, so they claimed the terrorism data is being banned for 'being against their policy'. Which makes me believe they didn't want to remove that content at all, after all, they could have done it beforehand, they didn't feel any natural incentives to do so.
The entire story is filled with researchers who don't seem to experience the human population as other human beings. They don't believe we deserve privacy, or dignity, or any say in what is being collected or done to us. Hearing their quotes and how they describe the people they're researching shows clearly they consider us all stupid, and our desires for privacy, self-harming. They insist we'd be better off if we just accepted their authority and gave them any data they wanted without complaining or being upset it's being collected without our knowledge.
Even though companies claim at all times that the data is non-identifiable, the book explains just how data is handled and how easy it is to identify anyone whose private conversations are recorded; people say their names, their addresses, places they're going, friends they're meeting, they say names of their family members, their devices record their location and their habits, it is extremely easy to identify anyone whose information has been collected. It can be identified and sold to information agencies.
I believed when it was explained to me that most of the data collection was just for add targeting, and that it would be used only for advertisement purposes, but they're not only collecting data anymore, they're deciding what data is being fed to us, and recording our reactions, learning how they can affect and manipulate our behaviour. We know all algorithms feed us controversial, enraging and highly-emotional content in order to drive engagement, but it's more than that. They've discovered how they can influence more or less people to vote. The mere idea of that makes me go cold, but they talk about it like it's just another thing they can do, so why not? Companies who have experimented and learned so much about influencing human behaviour give themselves the right to influence it as they see fit, because why wouldn't they? Since they have the power to do it, and all lawsuits and regulations can't stop them, why wouldn't they make a game out of it?
I can't imagine how many experiments they did before feeling so confident and blase about this and casually influencing the elections, again, seemingly just for the sake of an experiment.
The book compares this type of behaviour manipulation to totalitarianism and surveillance state, and it shows how the population is slowly losing parts of their freedoms without realizing it is even happening. Human behaviour has changed due to online influence, and it keeps changing rapidly, with every new popular website that is influencing human behaviour. They've learned that humans are influenced mostly by behaviour of other humans, and they can decide what kind of content or influence to send our way to get desired results.
I love how the author of the book talks about humanity. She uses the term 'human future', as something we all have the right to, as opposed to future controlled by companies and influences. She describes how regular people were affected by the data collected against their will, and how they fought for their 'right to be forgotten', when google kept displaying their past struggles, damaging their dignity. She also explains the questions people should ask about how society is led: First question is, who knows? Second question, who decides? Third question, who decides who decides? She goes in detail about how the answers are held away from us, and what it does to us. She also touches very deeply on the idea of human freedom!
I recommend this book, even though it will make you feel far less secure and carefree to be online, and using anything google, facebook, twitter or any of their owned services. They are not free, and it's also incorrect to say that we're the product of them, but we are the source of the raw materials they collect in order to gain results.

Have Had You and Lost You
Tumblr media
I promise I'm uploading Dr.Bee pt 2 after this one, sorry to everyone who was expecting that one but I CANNOT GET OVER EX HUSBAND BUCKY.
"You'll find the juice boxes on the second shelf," You hurry around your kitchen, heels in one hand and your perfume in the other one. "He likes his juice decanted and he'll probably tell you he likes it room temperature but, Wells thinks room temperature means a little cold so you need to put one ice cube in his sippy cup."
Bucky nods, trying his hardest not to laugh. "Decant, room temperature. When did our five year old become a restaurant critic."
"Sometimes I'm afraid we made a mistake by letting him hang out at the Stark mansion." You laugh. "Every time I pick him up, he's learnt a new word and needs to use it at least three times in every sentence."
"Last time he was at my house he called Bluey exquisite." Bucky throws his head back with laughter. As soon as the sound hits your ears you truly feel, for a second, the world has stopped.
It's that same uninhibited laugh that made you fall in love with him all those years ago. You knew his years of torment had built a tall wall around his heart, and having him share these relaxed moments with you meant the world. That laugh was a special thing only the two of you shared.
But reality settled in once he asked the question you've been avoiding.
"So, who is he?"
Your bottom lip became trapped between your teeth as you thought how to answer his question. His blue eyes shifted all over your face, trying to read any expression you gave him.
Maybe you should have told him the truth but, you had been finally getting along after a long and tiresome divorce. So, you decided on a happy medium, no answer at all.
"Hmm," Bucky scratches the stubble on his chin. "You don't want to tell me his name."
"I never said that." You point out, feeling the vein on your temple throb.
"Your tell is a traitor," Bucky hums, running the back of his finger on your temple. "Maybe you don't want to tell me because I know him."
"He's no one." You turned away from him.
"You were never a good liar," Bucky says with a dry laugh. "So, I do know him."
"It's hard for you to not know someone in town, Buck."
"He's someone from around here, then." Bucky's eyebrows shot up.
He has to give it to the mystery man, never in his life did he think someone would have the balls to ask his ex wife on a date. Especially not someone who works in the compound.
Bucky and you had decided it would be best if you and Wells kept living close to him, so the change wouldn't affect your son too much. You'd decided on the town closest to the compound. A sleepy town, a couple of thousand habitants, mostly ex SHEILD agents and their families.
"You're really not going to tell me anything about the guy?"
You slip your heels on, keeping your lips shut.
"Is he a doctor? A nurse?" You roll your eyes.
He continues. "Is he in tech?"
"Better yet!" Bucky snaps his fingers like he's just had the idea of the century. "He's a trainee and I'm his direct superior. That would be the cherry on top."
"We've been on a couple of dates," You finally say something. "Three to be exact."
Bucky raises his eyebrows. "The coveted fourth date."
"Don't." You roll your eyes. "It's not like that."
"I'm not judging," He raises his arms in defense. "I understand you need to get your fix, we're all human, doll."
You groan.
"What?" Bucky comes closer, a sly smile playing on his lips. "You can talk about your sex life with me, darling. I'm not the jealous type."
"Bucky," You say, your tone warning. "you can't be the jealous type."
"There isn't anything here," You wave your finger between the two of you. "To be jealous of."
As you look back up at him, his smile seems forced. Bucky tries to keep his cool attitude up but, you know him too well to believe it.
"I left some money on the countertop so you can order pizza." You change the subject, feeling the air become tense.
"Don't treat me like I'm the sitter." Bucky scoffs. "Wells is my son too, and I can most certainly pay for a pizza."
"I- I" You stuttered. Trying to rack your brain for an apology, maybe explain that you didn't mean it like that but it was cut short by two honks coming from your driveway.
"He can't even ring the fucking doorbell," He scoffs again. "What a catch."
You turn and leave without speaking another word to your ex husband.
As hard as you tried, you couldn't get Bucky's words out of your head. It wasn't helping that your date was more interested in talking about himself and his recent promotion than even asking how your day went.
When had life become this way?
Once upon a time you were a woman who wouldn't settle for less than perfection and respect when looking for a man. You'd even walked out on a fair share of "New York's Elite", which usually meant men working in the finance district who think their dick is holy.
Which is why, when the ever so charming and chivalrous James Buchanan Barnes came into your life, you swore off stupid and unappreciative men.
Now, you're ordering your third glass of wine just so you can bare listening to the man you've accepted a fourth date from.
The dish you've ordered is now cold, and you're in no mood to listen to another word.
And just like that, your guardian angel answers your prayers.
Your phone lights up with a text from Bucky.
Bucky: Wells is fine, fed and asleep. Answer the call if you need to get out of the date.
Not even a few seconds later, your phone rings.
You barely have any time to decide whether you should do this or not. But your body reacts faster than your brain.
"Hello?" You answer shakily, holding a finger up to your date.
"Is he a field agent or a computers guy." Is the first thing Bucky says.
"Wells has a fever? Is he okay?" You say.
"That bad of a date, huh?" Bucky says through the receiver.
Bad date was an understatement. Your date couldn't care less that your son was feeling under the weather, he was too preoccupied looking over the dessert menu. But not even if hell froze over would you tell Bucky that!
"I think it's best if I come back home." You tell your date, getting up from your chair with your bag and coat in hand.
"Wait! One last guess!" Bucky says on the phone. "He's the guy who's in charge of sharpening my knives."
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes." You mutter, hanging up the phone and leaving your date behind.
By the time you're back home, Bucky's leaning on the door frame holding two glasses of wine, waiting for you.
You shut the taxi's door and walk past your ex husband and into your house.
"Not a single word." You warn as you pass by Bucky, taking both glasses. You down the first one and get started on the second one.
"Should I keep guessing who the mystery man is or..."
"He's part of Banner's research team," You groan throwing your head back. "There, happy?"
"Happy that the mother of my child is dating some loser who can't even come to the door for her?" Bucky raises his eyebrow. "Of course I'm not happy."
"Well not everyone has the 40's mentality Buck." You sigh, looking down at piece of pizza Bucky heated up for you.
"You're worth it." Bucky's eyes look crystal as they look at you. "All the roses and the dates and the opening of car doors, everything I did for you was because you're amazing and you're worth it."
Words escape your mind.
"I was too much of an idiot to let you go." Bucky looks down at the floor. "But please don't let anyone who won't take the time to cherish you, have you."
"Because to have had you, and lost you, is a pain only those who've truly love you have."
Comments, reblogs and likes are greatly appreciated! Would love to hear your feedback. K thankssss BRB writing Dr.Bee pt 2 as we speak.

You Think It’s That Easy? _ Part 2 = Requested
[Yandere Human & Demon!Alastor x Arranged Marriage!Reader]
Part 1 — Part 2 (here)
Tumblr media
You heard of Alastor’s death from the news, an accidental while he was in the bayou in the dead of night, mistaken as a deer by a couple of hunters and feasted upon by their hunting dogs. When the mistake was realized, it was already too late. Alastor was already dead
But that wasn’t what concerned you. It was the news that tied Alastor’s death to the death or disappearance of another individual. The Bayou Serial Killer, which has been ever so active as if possessed, stopped all activities after Alastor’s death. Loyal fans of Alastor’s radio show said it was a coincidence, some even trying to provoke the silent killer to prove Alastor’s innocence. To everyone’s horror, Alastor was not so innocent
The Bayou Serial Killer is and was Alastor, the famous radio host. Though to you, Alastor was more than that, he was your childhood friend and a good partner of a false marriage to satisfy both side’s parents, then later continued to ward off suitors for either of you two. Now there was one more identity of Alastor in your mind
A heartless killer
You realized that the late nights Alastor had before you left were all Alastor’s murder playtime. You should have known when he brushed off your worries for his safety, he whispered that he’ll be fine since he is confident in his self-defense. He didn’t tell you it was because he was the killer everyone feared
Yet the moment you felt a chill down your spine was when you remembered the promises Alastor made to you
“I’ll keep you safe.”
“You know I can deal with your troubles if you just ask, right?”
“I won’t let anything or one harm you, never.”
“Anyone that crosses you will face so much misfortune, you know?”
“Hahaha! How dare they prey you like vultures when you have me.”
The suitors that came to you and disappeared soon after… You now know what happened to them. Alastor happened. He killed them all. But you can’t understand why. What was the reason behind the killing and how had you never known?
That wasn’t the issue. The issue was that you felt guilty and fearful of the news. Couldn’t you have prevented all Alastor’s killing if you were more attentive? If you two hadn’t been as distant from each other to living your preferred lives, would things be different?
As a reminder to not be too involved with yourself and ignore others, you kept a red radio on the shelves by your books in the living room. Also a reminder that Alastor was gone
It wasn’t long before weird things started happening. First was that the radio would start up itself without anyone going near it, it wasn’t even powered so it was practically impossible for someone to turn it on or for the radio to play anything. First it was classic music, then it was love songs you’d hum from time to time, after that was eerie slow music with screams from time to time
Then items around your home would disappear and reappear somewhere. Your work left undone would be miraculously done when you wake up to continue doing it, even when you napped on top of it
You tried taking it to the shop to fix it but the shop owner said it was in perfect condition, no malfunction. You tried throwing it away even, but it appeared back on your shelf at its usual place
But when you tried banishing the radio with paranormal experts, those people that helped you all disappeared and then their bodies turned up like something clawed at them or poke something sharp into them. As weird as it was, police chalked it up with a raging deer or bears. Neither were good ends
What you’re worried about was how your lover, now husband was missing ever since the radio started piecing out your name and sweet nicknames that reminded you of Alastor
It wasn’t until once you got drunk and stumbled through the streets, trying to get home. You were pulled into an alley with someone trying to force themselves on you. In that drunken daze, everything was a blur and you weren’t in your right mind, so you didn’t even know why you called out that name
“Help… someone… Help me…” You tried fighting off or at least struggle against the grip but your limbs all felt like noodles. “Al… Alastor…”
“Of course, Love.”
You didn’t see the shadows raise and clawed hands gripping so tightly on your assailant’s arm that they released you. You knew you slumped down against the wall, your head bobbing back and forth and your hair all over the place to the point of covering one of your eyes
You didn’t hear your rescuer tear your attacker like paper, blood overflowing like a spring fountain, yet none got onto you. The screams of pain and the cries of mercy from your attacker who has now become the prey
The scene you saw, your mind didn’t register it, you were way too intoxicated from all the alcohol you drank to drown out your loneliness. You left Alastor, then he died and his secrets brought to light made you feel like you were not supportive enough. You missed your husband who’s on missing posters. Everything was so frustrating and sad at the same time
When it was all done, Alastor, in his shadowy form, kneeled in front of you, staring into your eyes. His fingers snapped and both of you reappeared back at your home. You in Alastor’s hold, carried like a princess, like during the wedding you two pretended to have and Alastor carried you all the way to the dance floor
“You’re so red, Alastor.” You slurred, eying his coat that was in a shade different from how you remember, why was it red? He wears dark brown ones. Your finger poked his cheeks, “Your smile’s too wide, if you smile this much, you’ll hurt your cheers.”
“It’s fine, Dearest.” Alastor spoke. Did you even hear the radio filter over his voice?
“I want to dance… I missed dancing with you…” You lamented as you lowered your finger to lay on your stomach with a pouty frown. “It’s been so long…”
“I think you need to rest, Darling.” Alastor started moving to your room. How did he know? No, did you even notice the way his eyes glowed when you mentioned missing him?
When you were laid down on the bed and tugged in, your clothes were magically changed to clean ones comfortable for sleeping soundly. “You’re leaving when I fall asleep… I just know it…”
The urge can’t be ignored. Alastor spent too long waiting and he is ready. “Well, if you agree, we can be together forever.”
“We’ll be back again?”
“Yes. If you shake my hand and wear this.” Alastor showed you a familiar band of gold. He kept it all these years, when he could first go to Earth due to your soul being binded to his, he searched high and low for it.
Your confused and tired mind honed in on the ring. A familiar and comforting thing you given up, tears swell and a hand reached for it. “We’ll be back? Alastor…”
“Yes.”
“Okay…”
When your eyes opened, you were met with a major headache and an unfamiliar room. Looking around, you tried to get your bearings. While you did, you tried to remember what happened. Was this some stranger’s home? You immediately lifted up the blanket and looked under, sighing when that didn’t seem to have happened in your drunken state
You finally took in your surroundings. It wasn’t unfamiliar now, it was nostalgic. A replica of the appearance of what was your shared bedroom with Alastor when you two were still playing house. You shook your head, expecting all this to be your hallucination
Yet it didn’t fade back to what was supposed to be your bedroom. Confusion and fear set in. As did the memories of last night. What happened? Did you hallucinate Alastor appearing and saving you? But that didn’t look like Alastor. That can’t be Alastor. A monster. A demon. That’s what it was
Though Alastor was the only one to make you feel that at peace and calm and relaxed. The voice was his, just with an odd radio filter
The door to the room opened and the Alastor you met last night appeared in your sights. He closed the door behind him, smiling, “Welcome home, Dear Wife of mine.”
As Alastor had sworn, he brought you to Hell. You were his and he was yours. Try to run and it won’t be successful. For the two of your souls are bound together.

Note: I'mma out of ideas for this one, so before you ask for a part 3. Just know that the likelihood of it happening is very very rare since I got other series that's more active now. There could be trivia or asks, that's what I consider to be extra parts to this one.

Woe out the Storm (12) - Thunder Rolls
Tumblr media
Wednesday Addams x female Reader
Summary: It took some time, but eventually you came to realize only Wednesday Addams could look at the raging storm of chaos and destruction and make a home out of it. Only she could listen to the cacophony of the roaring thunder and hear a melody.
Story warnings: Wednesday Addams, violence, slow burn
Story Masterlist / First part / Previous part / Next part
Word count: 6k
-As the storm blows on, out of control, deep in her heart the thunder rolls-
She was making a mistake, she was digging her own hole and instead of stopping and climbing out of it she just kept digging deeper and if she continued she wouldn’t be able to get out. Being buried alive didn’t seem like a bad way to go, but this was not the dirt she wanted to be buried beneath.
Tyler asked her out when she was at Weathervane, according to him she owed him for what happened to him, for nearly getting him killed. And she agreed, she did owe him, but this wasn’t her preferred way of paying him back. This was just going to make things worse, give him the wrong idea that his feelings, whatever and however unreasonable they were, weren’t one-sided. But she couldn’t back away now. Not even when Thing berated her for accepting to meet up with Tyler.
He even mockingly called it a date. Even dared to compare it with her asking Xavier to the dance. As if she wanted to be in either of those situations.
“Watch the diary while I’m gone,” she instructed, no longer having the patience to argue, otherwise Thing might get brave enough to mention you again.
‘There could be a big storm tonight!’ Thing told her in Morse code since she already had her back turned to him, and Wednesday stopped. Rain was one thing, but a lightning storm, there was no way of knowing if you could stay in control after all these nights in the rain. Sure, you stayed in control two nights ago, when you first left, but would you stay in control this time as well?
She bit her lower lip in frustration, almost hard enough to draw blood, she made her decision.
~X~
It was an easy decision, much easier than she thought it would be as she looked at the cloudy skies. She thought pushing you away was a way to keep you safe, but waking up in your bed for the second time made her understand the situation she was in wasn’t as simple as not spending time with you. And staying away from you only reminded her of you more. If Thing wasn’t talking about you, then something else would remind her that you weren’t there. Something as simple as Fester pulling his usual prank and zapping Tyler reminded her of you, even if you never did that to anyone in front of her.
How ridiculous. It should have been the other way around. Seeing your lightning should have reminded her of her uncle, but it was too different for her to form that connection in her mind. And now his electricity reminded her of you, regardless of how different the two powers were.
So, it really wasn’t something she had to choose, it was as natural as lightning during a storm for her to decide what to do regarding her circumstances.
She still owed it to Tyler to at the very least show up and not waste his time by making him wait at the crypt.
“Wednesday!” he looked way too eager, too happy to see her, love struck, not in the way her parents were, but in that teenage way that spoiled like milk.
She glanced at his chest, at the spot where the monster, the Hyde, wounded him, it wasn’t too deep and Wednesday easily patched him up. Tyler got lucky, and as far as Wednesday was concerned, she nearly got him disemboweled. She wondered if she at least prevented the vision from the Rave’N, the one with the Hyde attacking you. If that vision was to be believed you weren’t a match for the Hyde in your human form. That was what the rational part of her brain was telling her, but she couldn’t deny the heavy feeling in her heart.
Because, as much as she refused to admit it, a part of Wednesday wanted to see it, she wanted to see the circumstances that would make you drop your restraints and shift. She wondered what kind of beast you were. Maybe you were a wolf, like Diego, or another canine, maybe you were something less dangerous, a normally peaceful beast, perhaps you were an albatross, who, like in Baudelaire’s poem, flies into the storms. She thought of many options, and while she didn’t know which one was correct, she wanted to see it. She wanted to see for herself the power of a lightning beast.
She remembered the vision she had when she touched Rowan, the brief flash of smoke covered beast standing above her, but it was brief and there was no guarantee that it was you. Why would it be you? Trapping her? Threatening her? Perhaps trying to kill, or at least hurt her? That wasn’t you, unless you truly had no control over that form.
“Wednesday?” Tyler snapped her out of her thoughts.
“I’m not here for the date with you,” she cut to the point before he could continue or get the wrong idea because she came.
He raised his brows up in surprise. “I’m sorry?” he asked, confused by her reaction.
“I don’t have feelings for you, Tyler,” she said it directly, leaving no space for interpretation or misunderstanding. “I’m here to tell you that.”
He looked like someone kicked him, dejected and disappointed. “It’s Y/N, isn’t it? You like her,” he took a guess.
Wednesday, despite wanting to maintain her composure couldn’t help but look away. Did she? She’s been so focused on pushing you away, on rejecting any feeling she had for you that she didn’t stop to think what kind of feeling she was rejecting exactly.
The truth was that she did, actually, like you. She wasn’t sure if that meant that she wanted to be more than friends, or that someone could call the two of you friends in the first place, especially given the past week or so. But she did like you, her feelings for you were strong, overwhelmingly so, from her desire to keep you alive, to how much she missed you now that you were gone.
Tyler was harmless, a normie barista that might accept her rejection better and quicker if she was completely honest, so, Wednesday nodded. Confirming that she did, indeed, like you.
“I should have noticed it sooner, even after she left you alone,” he muttered, the frown on his face, the defensive posture, frustrated look etched on his face, it all made it clear he wasn’t taking this well.
Yet Wednesday couldn’t help but wonder how he knew you left her, or rather your shared room. Not that it mattered at the moment. She’d figure it out after she gets you to come back to your room with her. “We’re done here,” she stated and quickly walked away, not wanting to waste another moment.
Maybe if she paid more attention to her surrounding, maybe if she wasn't so caught up in her emotions, maybe then she would have seen a water tank hidden behind the crypt.
~X~
The weather forecast said there shouldn’t be a tonight and you couldn’t help but thank your luck. Well, you guessed it was the rainy season, but three nights in a row might be too much. Still, you were getting exhausted, by staying in control, by not shifting, by everything really. Part of the issue was also the isolation. Aside from Enid and Thing no one else came to see you, no one else was crazy enough to go see a raiju during rain. And even Enid picked a time when it wasn’t raining. So, there you were, isolated, exhausted, and unsure of how much longer you could stay in control, so yeah, you were thankful you could rest tonight.
The doors behind you opened, no knocking, no sound, nothing, they just opened.
“Enid, I told you I’m not-“ you turned around, expecting to see Enid. Instead you saw Wednesday and the words just refused to come out of your mouth.
She looked around, taking in her surroundings. “I didn’t think there’d be this many things,” she said, still not looking at you.
“Wednesday,” if she wasn’t entirely ready for the conversation you weren’t ready at all. You didn’t expect her to actually come, nor did you expect your heart to start beating this quickly at the mere sight of her.
After what felt like eternity of her slightly opening her mouth and then changing her mind, without once looking at you, and being strangely fascinated by all the other things in your shed, she finally turned to face you. Surprisingly, she blinked a few times, her body stiff and hands balled into fists. “Come back to our room,” she finally said, her voice quieter than what you were used to, her tone lacked that I-don’t-care, confident sound to it.
You told Thing you wanted an apology, yet it felt like this was as close as you’d get. You pulled out the chair next to you and motioned toward it. “Sit with me?” it was a request at best, gentle, accepting of any decision Wednesday could make.
She just nodded and approached the chair you pulled out for her while you turned in your seat so you could face her properly. So, while you sat there, a bit nervous, but with a significantly more relaxed posture and leaning slightly forward, Wednesday sat as still and stiff as she could, her hands resting on her lap, her back straight and looking ahead. She wasn’t looking at you, and somehow you figured that would make the conversation easier for her.
“Why did you go to the Gates’ mansion without me?” you asked softly.
“I didn’t need you,” she replied, that even tone you got so used to was back and it relaxed you even more.
“Tyler did, Enid could have needed me as well,” you tried your best not to confront her, not to point out that she put them in danger while consciously choosing to keep you away from it. Even if being tied up and submerged wasn’t the best for you, it was still safer than going to the mansion. But accusing Wednesday of basically caring about you would only make her even less comfortable, and she’d likely get up and leave.
“I didn’t,” she didn’t even hesitate. Didn’t even consider how it sounded, even if the blinking gave her away.
“Look at me,” you pulled your chair a bit closer to her. “Wednesday, look at me,” she didn’t move, but she did look to the side. “What happened to us? Since the Parents’ weekend, and even since the dance and Eugene being attacked you’ve,” and then it hit you. The vision at the Rave’N. “What did you see when we touched at Rave’N?”
Wednesday’s eyes widened slightly, as if she got caught. “You were attacked,” that made sense, everything made sense now.
You leaned back, sighing as you looked at the wooden roof above you two. “And you’re trying to prevent it,” you got up and offered her your hand. “Let’s go back,” you wished she just said it in the first place, but at least you knew now. Still, seeing as she just looked at your hand you figured you were pushing too far and pulled your hand back, sheepishly rubbing the back of your head and grinning at her. “Sorry, that’s a bit too much,” you turned around, missing how her hand twitched just before you pulled your hand back.
“Let’s go,” she said, getting up and walking out of your shed at a brisk pace. “There might be a storm, tonight, we need to hurry.”
You tilted your head to the side, not really sure where she got that information from. Since when did she even have a way to check the weather forecast?
Thing.
Little handy liar.
~X~
The walk back to your room was silent, but there was nothing uncomfortable about it, in fact, you could say you were enjoying the silent walk with Wednesday. Maybe you missed her a lot more than you were willing to admit. You snuck a glance at her, she looked to be in deep thought, but she seemed more comfortable, in her own way.
She suddenly looked at you, catching you in the act and you felt your face heating up a bit at that, and not due to lightning. “Sorry,” you muttered, looking away and tucked your hands into your pockets.
“For what?” Wednesday’s question didn’t make it any easier. Especially since she refused to look away now.
You just chuckled uncomfortably. “Doesn’t matter. Anyway, uh, I’m sorry for snapping at you, I should have handled it better,” your reaction wasn’t unreasonable, but you should have cooled down a bit before confronting her. And you should have waited until she came back to your room, instead of confronting her somewhere where anyone could see and hear the two of you.
Wednesday nodded. “I’m,” she paused and looked away, though a few seconds later she forced herself to look at you. “Sorry. For what I did,” for knocking you out, leaving you in a bathtub filled with water tied up and unable to get free without hurting Thing.
Yeah, you’d think twice before going into the bathroom if Wednesday called you. “Just don’t do it again,” you gently nudged her shoulder with a teasing smirk as the two of you approached your room. You quickened your pace and opened the doors, stepping aside and jokingly bowing slightly to let her in. “After you, miss Addams,” you couldn’t help but smile when her eye twitched at the gesture. She still went inside, only to stop right away.
“Wednesday?” you came inside, confused as to why she stopped. The moment you looked around you understood. The room was completely thrashed, the papers covered the floor, Wednesday’s manuscript… just scattered all over the floor, her furniture turned over, drawers left open, and the same mess was in your part of the room as well.
Where was Thing?
“The diary…” Wednesday went further inside, still taking the whole mess in. “Thing?” she called out. The sound of something dripping caught your attention and you and Wednesday looked back to see Thing, pinned to the pillar with a knife going right through him.
“Thing!” Wednesday rushed to him and you quickly went to get a towel. “Y/N can you use your lightning?!” the panic in her voice shouldn’t have startled you like it did, but I was the first time you heard that much distress in Wednesday’s voice.
She was breathing heavily as you ran up to her. “I can’t, I don’t have that kind of control!” you pressed the towel onto the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. How were you even supposed to help a hand?!
“Fester is here, he can help!” Wednesday looked at the doors and nearly began running, but you grabbed her by her waist and lifted her up. She had the solution, and that was enough to get you moving. “Y/N!” she yelled your name as you ran toward the balcony.
“This is faster, just keep a firm hold on him!” you jumped over the fence and pulled out one of your knives, you threw it toward the ground. When you were about two thirds of the way down you let go of Wednesday, shifted into lightning to get ahead of her and zapped toward the ground. You barely touched the ground and immediately jumped up, boosting your jump with lightning to catch Wednesday and safely land. “Where are we going?” you demanded, already running across the pentagon.
Wednesday didn’t struggle, despite the panic she felt she still realized you were boosting your speed with lightning, making this the fastest way to get Thing the help he needed. “Eugene,” but she still struggled to give you the information you needed. “Bees,” but you understood.
“Just focus on Thing, I understand,” you assured her, not even realizing how close you were as you held her, almost in a bridal style, how Wednesday was hiding her face in the crook of your neck, how Thing was wrapped in a towel, held close to her chest as she held onto your back. You didn’t realize any of it as you rushed to the bee house where Fester, whoever that was, was. If he could help Thing it didn’t matter.
You ran faster, reaching hives in record time. “We’re here! Go! Go!” you needed to catch your breath for a moment, and Wednesday could handle the few feet between her and the doors, and she did. She jumped out of your arms and burst through the doors.
“Fester! Fester, help! Help! Help! Help! Thing’s not moving! He was stabbed!” she yelled, making the bald man dressed in black get up.
“Get him on the table!” Fester told her as you stepped inside.
You cleared the table and Wednesday set Thing down as the man rubbed his hands together and electricity emerged from the tips of his fingers.
In any other circumstance you would have been surprised, but now you just leaned onto the table, anxiously looking at Thing’s unmoving body. Wednesday crouched down on the opposite side of you, and she held onto the table, likely feeling no different than she felt when she lost her scorpion, if not even worse and more helpless than back then.
Fester tried to use his fingers as defibrillators, but Thing didn’t react. “Oh, come on, Thing,” he tried again and you dared to look at Wednesday.
Looking at her was a mistake, she was on the verge of tears, swallowing the lump in her throat as she tried to stay in control over her emotions.
You looked at Thing, but when the third attempt didn’t work you couldn’t keep watching, and instead tightly shut your eyes to keep your own tears from falling. You balled your fists, sparks digging into the wood.
“He’s gone, Wednesday,” Fester remorsefully said, pulling his hands back. He gave up.
Wednesday’s sorrow turned to anger as she grabbed the towel and pulled it closer to her. “No, he’s not! Thing if you can hear me, if you die, I will kill you,” she threatened, her voice trembling with barely contained emotions. “Go again,” she said as she pushed the towel back. When Fester only looked at her she slammed her hand onto the table. “Now! Again, please!”
Fester tried again, with no success and then he tried again, maintaining the charge for much longer and then, when he stopped, Thing twitched.
Wednesday gasped and both she and Fester looked relieved. You leaned away from the table, stepping back and letting out a sigh of relief as a tear slid down your cheek.
“For a minute, we thought you picked your last lock, buddy,” Fester exclaimed.
“Who did this to you?” Wednesday demanded and Thing’s answer made her furious. “Knife from behind the back. Cowards! I promise that whoever did this to you will suffer, and it will be slow, long, and excruciatingly painful,” she promised and there was no doubt in your mind that she would keep that promise.
Thing raised his little finger and Wednesday reached out, linking their little fingers together, it was a deal. With that, he lay down, alive, but still weak and Wednesday wiped her tears away. “I’ll stitch him back up,” she said as she got up.
“You’re Elijah’s kid, right?” Fester was grinning like he was really excited about that, and only then did you realize that he was Wednesday’s uncle, the man your dad mentioned once. In your defense, it was a stressful situation, and you only heard his name once prior to tonight.
“Yeah, Y/N, nice to meet you,” you offered him your hand and he eagerly accepted it, zapping you in the process.
You just smirked and zapped him back, red and blue sparks buzzing around your hands.
“Hey, Wednesday, I like this kid! She’ll fit just right in the family!” he grinned as Wednesday began stitching Thing up.
Your eyes widened and Wednesday stilled. “What?” both of you asked at the same time.
“No need to hide, Gomez and Morticia already told me everything,” he began patting you on the shoulder, a bit too forcefully, but you were too surprised to care about that. “Wednesday is my favorite, but good luck kid, you’ll need it!”
“Uh, thanks?” you really had no idea how else you could react. You were starting to think people just assumed something was going on between you and Wednesday. Enid, Thing, your mom, Wednesday’s parents from the looks of it, her uncle, hell, probably your dad as well, Tyler was jealous, Xavier as well, probably, why did everyone think Wednesday liked you back. Sure, you had feelings for her, but Wednesday?
Ridiculous.
Right?
Speaking of ridiculous, you just remembered something Fester should probably know. “Police came by my shed earlier, someone found a bike you apparently stole, and they wondered if I knew anything about you,” you said, raising an eyebrow slightly.
“Maybe next time steal something less conspicuous,” Wednesday suggested, confirming to you that her uncle did, in fact, steal it.
“Where’s fun in that?” Yet, Fester didn’t really seem like he’d change his approach any time soon. “Oh, fine. I’ll keep an eye on the patient and skedaddle in the morning,” he gave in and you couldn’t help but smile a bit as the two exchanged their goodbyes.
~X~
Wednesday briefed you in on what was going on, on Faulkner’s diary, the monster being called a Hyde, your guess that there could be more than one killer being confirmed due to Hyde having a master. All of that you could handle, in fact, you were glad her investigation was going well.
You and Wednesday split up, much to your reluctance, when you came back to school, she went to Weems with Thornhill, and you went back to your room to start clearing up the mess the intruder made.
Anger threatened to consume you as you cleaned Thing’s blood. If only you were there, if you came back, none of this would have happened. He wouldn’t have nearly died, the diary wouldn’t have been lost. But, no, you had to be stubborn and it nearly got Thing killed. All you could hope for now was that Wednesday would let you join in on making whoever stabbed Thing suffer. Even if, if Wednesday was correct, the Hyde was Xavier and his master was the psychiatrist Wednesday was ordered to see. So, even if you weren’t sure how you felt about someone you’ve known for several years being responsible for this you decided to trust Wednesday’s instincts.
When Wednesday came back she went to the bathroom to get ready to sleep. She tried to help you, but you sent her away and she was too exhausted to resist. She nearly lost Thing, you weren’t going to let her clean this whole mess.
With that thought in mind you began picking up the papers that were scattered around the floor. This was senseless. The intruder was looking for the diary, a fairly large book from what Wednesday said. There was no need to try to ruin an entire manuscript. You were thankful she numbered the pages, so it wasn’t too difficult to put it back together, and everything else was light work once the manuscript was handled. You were done a few minutes before Wednesday came out, looking emotionally exhausted now that everything had settled down.
“You’re done,” she noticed and gave you a small, thankful, nod when she noticed her manuscript.
“Yeah,” you approached her, stopping near her but not daring to try and comfort her. “Will you be okay?”
Wednesday just nodded and went to her table, she took the knife you returned to her and went back to you. “You claimed it as your own,” she explained as she offered it to you.
Your eyes widened slightly, but you took the knife, your fingers brushing against her hand in the process. “Thanks,” you lingered, but so did she, and when it got too awkward you stepped back. “I’ll… get ready for bed, you don’t have to wait for me,” you weren’t even sure why you had to say that.
Still, you went to the bathroom, with your pajamas in hand. A slightly longer than necessary shower with distilled water, and your usual routine later you came out of the bathroom to the sight you never thought you’d see and somehow, despite the wild beating of your heart and the heat that engulfed your face you briefly wondered if Wednesday did actually like you back.
Thing telling you that Wednesday missed you echoed in your mind as you watched her.
Because while she did go to bed, she went to your bed. And then you realized she was using your blanket. That wasn’t white, black, or gray… The fact that she wasn’t using her own blanket to avoid allergic reaction was enough to snap you out of whatever you were feeling, and you went over to her bed, grabbing the black blanket and taking it with you.
“Wednesday,” you called, waking the girl up. She wasn’t even sleeping in her usual position; she was curled up underneath your blanket.
She opened her eyes and looked at you, clearly not pleased that she was woken up.
“At least use your blanket,” you teased, boldly pulling your blanket off her, and tossing her blanket over her body. It was as if she just now realized she was in your bed and she blushed a bit. You had to admit, Wednesday in your bed, blushing, would probably live rent free in your head for a very long time.
“Not one word,” Wednesday warned you as you sat down at the bottom of the bed.
“You’re in my bed and you expect me to stay silent?” you began laughing at the thought of that. Sure, you were aware that she was more than a little embarrassed, but there was no way you could just ignore this.
“Mention this to anyone and you’ll never get to sleep again,” she threatened as she got up and began walking. The frown on her face as she passed by you was enough for you to reach out and grab her hand.
You figured this wasn’t the first night she slept in your bed, if you had to guess you’d say it was probably the third night, and she just, already, developed a bit of a habit. “It was a long couple of days,” you said, tugging lightly at her hand, just strong enough for her to notice. “Stay, the bed is big enough for both of us,” and it was, you could easily sleep in it and not touch once.
You could see the reluctance on her face, but just as you were about to let go she took a step back, getting closer to you. You could feel the tension in her hand, the way her fingers wrapped around your hand, clutching so tightly you wondered if she was trying to break them or if she really was that nervous.
“Mother told me,” she began and you could see exactly how difficult this was for her. “Once every generation, for over four centuries, an Addams bonds with a raiju,” she stood right in front of you, her eyes finding your own in the dimly lit room.
You waited, just gently rubbing circles into the back of her hand. It would either help her, or annoy her, either way she’d stop being as nervous as she was.
“Raiju usually die for their Addams,” she seemed to be done, you could see she was expecting some kind of reaction from you, it was in her eyes, in her slightly parted lips, in the breath she was holding.
So, you gave it to her, you pulled her closer, close enough for your knees to touch. She wanted to push you away, but you wanted to get closer, you wanted to close as much distance as she would allow. “And you saw the Hyde attacking me, and you got worried,” you sighed, there it was, the final piece of the puzzle. Wednesday got completely overwhelmed, by her visions, by what Morticia told her, by what happened to Eugene, it was too much for her, and now with what happened to Thing. It was too much for her. She was feeling too much and too fast, one thing after another, she couldn’t catch a break and process what she was feeling. As much as you wanted to pull her even closer, to hug her, you recognized that she might not be able to handle it. That this was as far as she could be pushed right now. That it would be nothing short of a miracle if she decided to sleep next to you.
“Yes,” she confirmed, weakening her grip on your fingers to firm, but much less painful.
“Wednesday, I,” you paused, carefully choosing your words. There was a chance this could only make things worse, but you supposed you were never that good with finding more appropriate words. “Don’t give a fuck about that Addams-raiju bond. I was drawn to you, and some generations long bond has nothing to do with it,” you figured that was enough, because if it wasn’t, you feared Wednesday would be overwhelmed by the rest of it.
She looked down, biting her lower lip so hard you were worried she might draw blood. You reached up, lightly touching her cheek, just enough for her to stop biting her lip, just enough to let her lean into your touch if she wanted to. She didn’t, but she didn’t pull away either, and you kept your hand there just for a bit longer before letting it drop down. “You can be my Addams, but I won’t die, so, trust me,” you said softly, grinning when she glared at you. Clearly, she didn’t like being called ‘your Addams’, but, at least this was how you expected her to be.
There was nothing left to say as you let go of her hand, you just got under the blanket, leaving enough space for Wednesday and looked at her one last time before closing your eyes. And she followed, she lay down next to you and you couldn’t help but smile a bit at that. “Good night, Wednesday.”
“Good night,” she replied
~X~
Despite how easy it was to sleep in your bed the past two nights Wednesday couldn’t fall asleep tonight. The heat radiating from you kept her right there, just on the edge of falling asleep, and her blanket gave her that additional comfort she was missing, but she just couldn’t do it. She couldn’t remember if she ever tossed and turned as much as she did tonight, not sure if she wanted to be as far from you as the bed would allow her, or if she wanted to close the distance.
You came back and you… helped her save Thing. Would she have made it in time if you weren’t there? She turned around to face you, you looked peaceful as you slept on your side, as if falling asleep like this didn’t bother you one bit. She looked at your hand, resting on the pillow in front of your face.
Wednesday didn’t fear death, her heart didn’t start beating faster even when you jumped from the balcony, even if falling from that height would have meant certain death. She didn’t fear death, and she trusted you, she believed you had a way to safely land, and you did. No, her heart didn’t beat any faster as she was falling. It did beat faster now that the adrenaline was gone, and she remembered being in your arms. It was logical. You were significantly faster, and Thing wasn’t moving. Now that panic and fear were gone and Thing was going to be fine she felt the phantom sensation of your touch and she didn’t despise it.
Her fingers trembled a bit as she reached forward and just took hold of your wrist, just inched a bit closer to you while pulling your arm toward her at the same time. This was fine. This was just enough. She was okay with this much touch. Her eyes fluttered closed and she fell asleep.
~X~
The Hyde attacked Kinbott mere minutes after Wednesday accused her of being Laurel Gates and as you rushed to the hospital to meet up with Wednesday and Weems you couldn’t help but think about her theory.
It was solid. Xavier was artistic, he had his issues, his darker side, he had his obsession with Wednesday which would explain why he didn’t kill her, and why he saved her from Rowan’s gargoyle. And he drew the Hyde dozens of times, down to the location of the lair and the Gates mansion. Kinbott could use hypno-therapy to unlock him. He could have made it in time to attack Wednesday, Enid and Tyler in the Gates mansion. Wednesday was being watched, so he’d know if Thing was the only one in the room.
Everything pointed at him. But it was too easy.
Either Kinbott wasn’t Laurel, which would mean locking Xavier up wouldn’t help much in the long run, or they were missing something.
By the time you arrived at the hospital Wednesday was already going down the stairs, the determined fury shining in her eyes.
“Wednesday! Did Kinbott make it?” you asked as you ran up to her, but she didn’t stop, she just kept going. Likely back to Nevermore to confront Xavier, or to the police station, or wherever that wasn’t exactly here.
“No,” she replied, hints of her anger clear in her voice.
“What if we’re wrong?” last night, as well as this morning, you agreed with her theory, but now that you knew Kinbott was dead, you were almost certain you and Wednesday were missing something.
“We’re not. Xavier is the Hyde,” she, at least, stopped to look at you.
“It’s too easy. What kind of fool would be this sloppy? Drawing the Hyde doesn’t match other behavior,” you tried to get her to think things through one more time.
“Such as?”
“Clearing out the mansion, burning the lair, surgically removing the body parts, killing the mayor? It’s much more careful than drawing the Hyde and basically leaving the evidence for anyone to see. Wednesday please, Xavier is an easy choice, at least think about it one more time,” you listed, but you knew there was a question you couldn’t answer.
~X~
And Wednesday knew what that question was. “Who else could it be?” because that was the thing, no one else was her suspect, no one else could be behind this, no one else made sense. And yes, it was easy, too easy for her liking, but all signs pointed at Xavier.
“I don’t know,” you sighed, your shoulders slumped in defeat as you realized the same thing Wednesday realized a while ago. There just wasn’t another suspect.
And then it just happened, just as she was about to go to the police and turn Xavier in her hand brushed against the back of your hand and she lost consciousness.
You were panting, kneeling on the ground as blood stained the grass beneath you, the Hyde was standing over someone as you pushed your body up and Wednesday felt the rage within you. It was almost overwhelming, dangerous, if allowed and able to, you’d kill the Hyde. “Tyler!” the rage in your voice as you yelled that name, as the Hyde turned to look at you, it shook Wednesday to her core.
She was wrong, as she opened her eyes and once again found herself in your arms, she looked at you. “It’s Tyler. It’s not Xavier, it’s Tyler,” the normie barista she believed to be harmless was the Hyde. The Hyde was the same person she told she liked you. Tyler knew her weakness, and she was the one who handed it to him.
A/N: Hashtag Wednesday being soft for exactly one person? Meh, still more reasonable than her love interests in season 1.

Alastor x daughter!Reader II (Platonic)
Heaven in this series seems to be very unfair and strict, so I guess this wouldn't be too out of character of them. I still don't know how long this is going to be, maybe I'll do a couple more and then that'll be it.
Reminder: Alastor is in hell for a reason; Trigger warnings: gory elements, mentions of blood, threats towards a child, mentions of rape, death.
This is not proof read, so please excuse any grammar and/or vocabulary mistakes.

Part I |Part II (You're here!)|Part III
Tumblr media
It was hot. That was the first feeling you got. Like those summers in the bayou, but a hundred times worse. You wondered if you were running a fever. If everything was just a wild fever dream, and you were currently on a hospital bed fighting off the Spanish flu while your dad worriedly sat by your side.
But as you opened your eyes. You found that there was no fever dream. Only nightmares.
You had been sent to hell for keeping quiet. Heaven considered that the officers death could have been prevented if you had just talked to someone about what you saw. But you chose not to, and also chose to pretend it didn't happen just to try and keep some semblance of normalcy. Your silence had only made you an unwilling accomplice in two murders.
You were not made for hell, never were. And suddenly finding yourself in a place were anyone could easily kill, rape or torture you didn't do wonders for your psyche.
You spent the next ninety years hiding in the corners, eating what little crumbs you could feed yourself, barely sleeping just in case some of your 'friendly neighbors' decided to take you by surprise and avoiding all kind of human (or demonic) contact.
You would be lying to yourself if you said those were the only reasons for such a paranoid way of living. The other, and principal reason why you kept moving and hid yourself was the very same reason why you ended up here.
Him.
Not even a week had passed before he had suddenly spawned there as well. Host of his very own diabolical radio show, he had quickly seized control of the former overlords and killed them one by one, broadcasting their cries of fear and pain to all the city. Positioning himself as a prominent member of the new batch of overlords.
He was a monster. 'Alastor The Radio Demon' he was called in fearful whispers. And he kept getting worse and worse. You couldn't help but wonder if the man who had raised you had really been there at all or it had been just another facade, for his own entertainment and amusement.
Everywhere you go you would faintly hear the static of his radio program, it almost seemed that he was following you. There was no escaping his influence. Had he found you? Did he know you were there as well? Did he even care at all?
Sometimes you resented him for breaking your happy mortal life, sometimes you wished you could show yourself to him and maybe everything would be magically reverted to the way it was back then. Sometimes you cried yourself to sleep, fearing that the first thing he would do if he found you would be slaughter you and broadcast your screams.
Fear always got the best of you, so you kept running, hiding, avoiding the exterminations as best as you could and doing some things for the sake of survival that would haunt you forever.
You will live to see another day. You had to. You may not be able to kill anyone, but you will survive.
Until one day you got caught.
You should have listened to your instincts that were screaming at you that that dump was not safe to rest. But you were too tired to care.
As soon as you close your eyes for a quick nap, a huge hand grabbed you by the hair and forcefully pulled you out. You screamed and struggled, throwing wild kicks. But a strong set of arms held you and made it impossible to move.
"Looks like we got ourselves a fighter guys!" an enormous hyena demon cackled manically.
"Boss surley will give us a fucking raise for this one. Can't wait to see how he beats the fuck out of your spunkiness."
You were terrified. What? What were they going to do to you?? You were just a kid!! How was this allowed?? You had to escape, you had to run and hide before it was too late and you found yourself enslaved to some of the most depraved souls.
You screamed, cried and begged them to let you go. But they didn't listen, they shoved you into the back of some van with other terrified demons and drove off to the worst parts of an already hellish city.
They threw you roughly on a cold hard floor, you swore that after so many years in a living hell you would have run out of tears to cry. Well, there you were bawling your eyes out.
"P-please"
The mob boss just laughed, a disgusting pig like demon. "Look at her, ain't even started and she's already crying. Oh, little one, you're going to make some owner the fucking happiest guy ever. And I know the right guy."
So that was it. It was over for you. After everything you had gone through, it seemed like your fate was to be forever enslaved, tortured and finally killed at the hands of a demon. Nobody would come to rescue you. You doubted there was even someone out there who would really miss you.
Maybe you deserved it.
Maybe it was time to really pay for your cowardice.
The tears didn't stop flowing, but you had already resigned to your fate.
The demons were coming closer, some of them with chains, another with a collar, and one with a branding rod.
You could almost feel the burning of metal in your skin. The painful beginning of a new chapter in your afterlife.
And even then, despite everything you had gone through and your fears, whatever remained of that innocent little girl you once were, was quietly praying Daddy would barge in and save you from the bad guys.
The lights suddenly went out, which only terrified you even more. Knowing what they were going to do was bad enough, but not being able to see it? They may as well shoot you dead.
For a couple of seconds everything was in complete silence. "The fuck are you waiting for? Turn the fucking-" The boss was interrupted by a loud radio frequency screech. The hairs on the back of your neck stood up, you felt the cold hands of terror grab a hold of you .
No.
Nononononono.
You weren't- You didn't- You prayed he wasn't actually going to show up. Despite being trapped between a rock and a hard place, you cursed yourself for your childish wishes.
The static kept getting louder, to the point you had to cover your ears to avoid having your eardrums split. In the corner, right on the left where your assaulters stood, some of them doubled over in pain with blood coming out of their ears, a mass of shadows started moving on their own.
A sob got caught in your throat when you realized where this was going to go. Now it was really over.
The shadows kept getting bigger and bigger, shaping themselves until all that remained was a giant and grinning entity of darkness.
You were completely frozen in your spot, not daring to make a sudden move, just in case you attracted that monster's attention. His Glasgow smile kept getting wider, some drool falling from his lips. He was like a hungry predator watching a tasty piece of meat.
You thought that the worst part would be when more tentacles shot from his back, launching themselves against the assaulters and tearing them apart easily while some chunks of blooded meat fell on his open mouth and others got stuck on his massive antlers. The sound of radio static mixed with his hysterical laughter generated a deep feeling of anxoiusness and fear inside you.
As you dared to look into his pupils, now red radio dials, hoping to find something that would anchor you to whatever remained of your sanity, you knew that had you been alive, you would have died again from fright.
Because there was nothing that could remind you of your father in those eyes.
And with that last thought, you happily welcomed unconsciousness.

The sun was setting as Muzan shuffled around his room. He was getting ready to go to the town he had established a family in.
You watched in the door way, hoping he didn't forget about the promise he made to you.
You were going to redecorate your room, and multiple others in the castle, together. (It's a old castle and muzan likes to be up to date with the times)
"Dad?"
"Hm? "
"Where are you going?" A question that you had asked many times and always got the same answer-
"To keep up my image as a human."
'It's like he's ashamed of me'
"Can I come?"
"No, I'll be back later." And with that he was gone.
So, like always, you waited patiently for him to come back.
.
.
.
He didn't come back for a whole week. In that time you had redecorated everything. He didn't notice.
When he did he acted as if he were there the whole time.
'I should be used to this by now.' You thought but that didn't stop it from hurting.
He completely forgot about his promise. This wouldn't be the first time it happened
"Dad?"
"Hm?"
"The next time you leave I won't be here when you come back." You say matter of factly. The only reason you've been around this whole time was because you thought he wanted you to be.
Time had changes your father, he used to adore you, he used to drop everything for you.
"And why is that?"
"You'll see when I get back." He said walking away from him.
He didn't even question it. He didn't even care.
When you got into your room you wrote notes for the 12 moons and your father.
You waiting for muzan to leave then you left after him, leaving the notes in places where each recipient would easily find.
You ran until you reached a cliff where you decided would be a nice stop to watch the sunrise.
It was beautiful.
-------
Muzan felt your deal that and immediately came back to the castle, he found a note on his desk in his study. It read-
-I am tired of going unnoticed-

Mad Scientist Darling + Frankenstein Dog Hybrid Yans - A recluse who's lost many companions over the decades. They haven't the time to shed a tear to the tragedy or the heart to do so either. Their main stick up over their loses was the lack of security to do their work without prying eyes and ears.
"We've seen you down at the cemetery again, Y/n." "Your science is a crime against God, Y/n." "Their body hadn't even frozen over before you took it." What headaches. They had fewer problems when their hounds were alive. Next to zero really with their loyal pets ready to snap at anyone who so much as raised their voice at their master. Sweet angels with their caretaker's safety at heart - god rest their souls. Unfortunately, after their deaths the scientist was unable to purchase more as they had been banned from all pet stores despite never using animals in their research before. Hypocrites.
They couldn't hire any human guards since they'd stab them in the back at the first sihn of greater opportunity. Alone in their study, the scientist had an epiphany. They could have the muscle and brawn of humans, and the loyalty of their hounds by simply merging the too. They weren't a genius for nothing.
A few trips to the local cemetery and morgue here. Some stitches and coding there. Sweat, tears, and more litters of blood than a person should legally be in possession of - and the scientist had their hounds back again. They were alot bigger and definitely more talkative, but they were still the same old loyal pets they once knew. There was one problem however. The hounds seemed to remember alot more of their pasts than intended - yet they never expressed any desire to return to them. The scientist was sure to bury all memories that didn't include them...
"You don't remember me, Y/n?.... We went to high school together and you were my date to prom until you stood me up. I was never able to get over you, and was hoping you'd be at the reunion."
"I was a reporter that followed you around for my big break... You let me stay the night once - after one of your dogs bit me. I kept the scarf you used to stop the blood."
"...It's none of your business..."
These....creatures. How could they have made such a mistake? This experiment turned out to be the greatest, yet most disastrous study of their time. Their pets kept the riff-raff away as instructed, but their mannerisms were - barbaric. Each would happy trot back up to their master's door with a torn limb in their mouth to trade for head pats and the scientists affection. They crowded the human's single bed and referred full rooms of their own. It wasn't uncommon for the scientist to be tackled by whomever was brave enough to encourage their frustration for a few seconds of lovestruck smothering. The loyalty of their hounds and whatever the humans held for them had warped into something truly twisted. The scientist no longer had to worry about outside threat for their security was more danger than any worry the paparazzi may bring
Crackpost under cut
Scientist Reader: Shake?
[Yan hounds shakes their hand]
Scientist Reader: Drop?
[Whining, the hound coughs up an eye into their hand]
Scientist Reader, scratching them behind the ear: Good puppy~ Now - go fetch with the others.
[Yan hound sprints off to continue mauling the screaming trespasser surrounded by the others]
-
[Scientist Reader stands in front of a counter as their hounds stand behind them attached to leashes - jaws snapping at the frightened cashier.]
Scientist Reader: Hello, Timothy. The last time I came in here- I specifically asked for no pickles. We won't have that problem again will we?"
-
Yan Hound #1: wahhh, master - they stole my arm so I couldn't hold your hand when we go out again since it's my turn.
Yan Hound #2, chewing one of their fingers: they're lying
Scientist Reader: It's alright. We'll go shopping for a new one later

Drinks pt. 1: Kyle Gaz Garrick x android!reader
You had resigned yourself to your office since the incident. You had been nonstop reviewing the intel and data you had received for the piece of it that caused your the error so you could delete it before it messed up any more of your plans.
A couple days had passed and they went by in the routine you had observed. The 141 avoided you unless they needed you and kept any interactions at a professional level.
When you had finally found the piece of data and erased it, Gaz had already recovered.
You downloaded the recent data you had received into your processors and prepared to analyze them when there was a knock at your door. You unplugged yourself from the computer and called out to whoever it was.
"Sergeant Garrick." You nodded when he stepped in and he gave you a quick smile that you didn't return.
"Heard you've been working hard." He said and you nodded again. "Hope you don't feel too guilty about what happened."
"I want to fix my mistake so it doesn't happen in the future."
"You can't plan for everything, not in this line of work."
You titled your head. You wanted to argue that you could since that was what you were made for. It was your only purpose and before the incident, you had never failed. However, you understood that arguing about it could cause your true nature to be revealed, so instead you agreed.
"Just don't burn yourself out, yeah?" He offered you a smile that slowly fell when you didn't offer one back.
"Was there something you needed, Sergeant?" You asked, unsure of why he decided to visit you.
It was out of routine, out of pattern, especially because up until this point he hadn't exactly acted anything more than cordial with you. You had endless data and in it was everything about the 141, so you knew that Gaz tended to be on the friendlier side, however this different than the relationship that had been created between you both.
"Yeah, actually," he began and shifted on his feet. "I know you've declined before but I think you should join us for drinks."
"Why?" You blinked and he shrugged.
"You're part of the team and you've been working hard. I know you're just here to do your job but I think it'd be great if we got along."
You blinked. You hadn't thought about whether or not bonding with the team would make it easier to work than before. Not that you had much trouble with the job you were given, but it was different for humans, especially the 141.
The patterns you had recognized and from their backgrounds they all valued friendships and relationships in some capacity, something you had no capacity for.
"I see. If you think strengthening our relationship will increase work productivity then I will join you for drinks." You told him and his eyes widened.
"Really?" He scoffed when you nodded but a smile pulled at his lips. "I told Soap the puppy dog eyes would work."
You didn't say anything as he awkwardly chuckled to himself.
"We're going to a pub. Nothing posh." He explained and you noted the information. "We can walk together."
"Okay."
You didn't know what else to say and Gaz must've taken that as anxiety as he gave you a reassuring look.
"Don't worry, I doubt there will be a lot of people there." He said and you wondered if that would be comforting to you if you were human. "Worse comes to worse I can do the talking, yeah?"
"Yes."
Gaz stood in front of you for a moment as if he expected you to say something else. When you didn't, he nodded slowly and gave you an awkward smile before opened the door.
"See you tonight then."
"Yes...see you tonight."
Silence filled the room and you stared at the door.
You were not equipped for going out to drinks. You were only programmed to look at data and provide the best numbers, not socialize and make bonds with others. Judging by the way Gaz had acted in your silence, and from the other times you remembered how the other reacted, you would create unwanted tension that would potentially ruin the bonding experience.
The people who made you didn't except you to agree to something like this, so it wasn't in your programming.
You turned to the computer that sat on your desk.
What was in your programming was to take in information. You were every much machine and computer as the laptop was so if you downloaded the right information you could look it up whenever.
It was against the your coding. You were meant for data analysis only.
But if you stored the information about what to do when going to pubs and how to act in the setting separately to your data then perhaps you could get away with it once. For the betterment of the team.
You began to type of your computer and plugged yourself in.
A/n: does this make sense? idk i've never really written an android character before lol

this is your fault. it’s all your fault.
you know better, or at least, you should have known better.
what else could you expect from a man like him? a man robbed of his humanity for so long. a man so close to ferality. that's who he is in all matters of you, a man more beast than human, no better than an animal when it came to you.
that’s how you should’ve treated him. as a beast. prowling back and forth in their confinement. poised to devour any unlucky soul that got too close. so long as he was caged, you were safe.
you didn’t though. you didn’t treat him like the beast he became the moment he saw you.
maybe in another life, he could've loved you in a normal, sane way. in another life, he could give you the sweetness you deserved. in a life where he wasn't so twisted and tormented, he would have done just that. the flowers. the chocolates. the romance.
but this is love, he tells himself.
this raw, deranged, twisted, obsession.
this is his love.
he loves you.
he swears he does.
in this life, this is the only way he can show you just how much he loves you. just how far he's wiling to go to love you.
something happened to him the moment he set his sights on you. perhaps something broke. perhaps something mended. but maybe this was always who he'd been. all he knows is that heaven is not fit to house the love he has for you.
it didn't matter. the moment he set his sights upon you, you were doomed.
he wanted to scream, to bellow a warning to stay as far away from him as possible.
he stayed silent during that first meeting. his jaw tense, spine straight as an arrow, fists clenched so tight he was sure there would be indents in the metal of his vibranium palm.
"it was nice to meet you, sergeant barnes." you made a point to place yourself in his line of sight, forcing him to look at you in those bright, wide eyes. "i look forward to working with you."
that was your first mistake. he had the strength to stay away. to resist the feeling creeping up his spine. but you just kept rattling his cage. calling out to him with your siren song.
"bucky," you rest your hand on his shoulder. you're trying to soothe him. you don't realize it's a kindness neither you nor him could afford. "it's alright."
he stiffens, that's the first time you've ever touched him. it's the first time he's ever heard his name fall from your lips. not sergeant, not sir, but his name.
his chest heaves, rising and falling as he tries to control himself. you think it's just the adrenaline of the mission. you don't have any idea how overwhelmed he is by your presence.
it's your own kindness that was your undoing, that was his unraveling. years of discipline, years of training, years of strength gone with a touch.
if he didn't love you so much, he'd hate you.
from that moment on, it all spiraled. he spiraled.
he wasn't a patient man, not by any stretch of the imagination. but for you, he'd wait. for you, he'd bide his time.
first, he watches. he watches and look for ways to insert himself into your life. it was almost too easy. for a shield agent, you were careless. doors unlocked. blissfully unaware of your surroundings on long, morning runs. you barely realized how he'd slithered his way onto your missions.
it helped you were vying for his approval, for his adoration. you didn't know that you had it from the moment he saw you. he started slow. inserting himself into your daily routine. a simple good morning. a good night. passing by you in the corridor, always offering a quick grin. he listened to you. to your ideas. your wants. your little anecdotes.
soon, you were close enough to invite him into your apartment. if only you knew that he'd seen it before.
"bucky, we're friends, right?"
he gritted his teeth. friends. no. you weren't friends. you were the love of his life. you were everything he had ever wanted, everything he would ever want. you were the center of his universe. he couldn't tell you that. not yet. "yeah. why do you ask?"
"i just wanted your opinion on this guy."
"a guy?" his voice is so clipped, so gruff, he's shocked you can't hear his teeth grinding together. his fists clench. can't you feel the rage rolling off of him?
"yeah, this agent," you sigh. "he keeps asking me out. i keep trying to let him down easy, but he's not taking the hint."
"oh."
your eyebrows furrow. he almost smiles to himself. you're so aware of him, of what he does or doesn't do. you're worried you upset him. you're worried you shouldn't have told him. he likes that you're this concerned about what he thinks. "should i - i'm sorry i shouldn't have said that to you."
he places his hand on your thigh, giving it a light squeeze. "no, i'm glad you told me."
it was too easy for him to swipe your phone when you weren't looking. too easy for him to find out which agent dared to try to take you from him.
and it was even easier to get the agent paired with bucky on a field mission. just the two of them. overseas in an unfamiliar country. there were just so many things that could go wrong.
he was respected in the avenger's compound. and in this moment, he's glad he put in the work to earn that respect. he didn't think they'd respect him so much if they knew how easy it was for him to sabotage that agent. he couldn't kill the guy, but if a gun shot to the leg wasn't enough of a warning, there were other ways to get him off your back.
all of this was your fault. you opened the cage, whether you knew it or not. you pushed him to this. you showed him the warmth of your doorways.
you could've left him alone. left him to the land. left him to the cold that he knows from the depth of his bones. you should never have let him taste your warmth. you shouldn't have uttered a single word to him, not when he's sat in silence for so long, not when the sound of your honey sweet voice in enough to feed his hungry soul.
you can't show warmth to someone stone cold.
you can't feed someone starved for decades.
you can't show mercy to someone used to the harsh, unyielding world.
you should never have let him in unless you planned on keeping him.
or he'll come back.
"bucky," you pant, running to bucky's room after hearing about his disastrous mission. "i heard - i heard things went wrong on that mission. i thought you were -"
"i'm okay. don't worry." he tries to bite back the smile at the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. you were worried about him.
your words come out in short bursts. "i just - the guy - he's the one i told you about - i heard he was shot - and - and that you were on the mission with him-"
"that was the guy who wouldn't leave you alone?" there's an intentional lilt to his voice. of course he knew. but he didn't want to give away just how much he knew. you weren't ready for that. "he's okay, if that's what you're worried about."
"i was worried about you." your eyes lift to his, shining with tears, with admiration. you were so close to putting the final nail in your coffin. "i was so worried about you."
he should tell you to run. the lion should never live with the lamb. if only you'd left him to the land.
"i'm okay. i promise."
run, he silently warns you.
run.
run.
"i just- " your frantic eyes find his again. you don't say another word. you lunge forward, planting your warm hand on the side of his face. your lips meet his in a frenzy.
too late.
it was far, far too late. it was too easy for him to become addicted to your presence. how easy you are for him to need. how easy you are for him to crave.
he'll always come back for more. he'll never be satisfied. he lived deprived for so long.
you should've know the reason they locked him away and threw away the key. he's a greedy beast.
and he's decided, he can't live with a taste. not anymore.
"i just want to talk to you," the agent pleads with you. he follows you down the hallway, still limping on his leg after that gun shot. "just hear me out."
"look," you sigh, stopping for a moment out of pity. "i'm sorry you got hurt, but i've already told you, i'm not interested."
"you're not interested in me, but you're interested in the maniac that had me shot?"
your eyes widen at the accusation. "you're lying. and don't - don't talk about bucky like that."
"i just thought you should know what kind of man you're falling into bed with."
"you're just jealous." you're about to turn on your heels when he grips your bicep forcing you back around. he squeezes tightly, forcing you to stay in place. you look down at the white knuckled grip, "you're hurting me."
"he told me that i should be more careful next time. that next time it wouldn't be in the leg. you should ask him about it."
you wrench your arm from his hold. "stay away the hell from me."
you felt guilty about your reaction. even guiltier when he turned up dead just days later. the details of that assignment were so fuzzy. even an entire investigation turned up nothing.
"i can't believe he's gone," you softly cry into bucky's shoulder. "we were friends for so long, you know?"
"i'm so sorry, that can't be easy for you," bucky coos at you.
"i don't what happened. he was acting so strange the last few months and then we got into that fight. i said terrible things to him."
"you got into a fight?"
"he said some things. about you. about us."
"about me?"
"yeah." you nod, tears still stinging your eyes, but offering no other details of that argument. you didn't want to upset bucky with those strange accusations. "these last few months, he was like a different person. he wasn't the friend i knew. i'm sorry, i know i'm rambling at you. i just - i don't know how to feel."
"you don't have to be sorry," bucky promises, he strokes your back up and down, following the curve of your spine. "i understand."
"thank you." you tuck your head into the crook of his neck. "you're being so sweet to me."
"i would do anything for you."
you're not sure what it is. the inflection of his voice. the way the words fall from his lips without pause. or the intensity with which they ring in your ears. you freeze, peeling yourself out of his embrace. your heart hammers against your chest, the blood pumping faster and faster.
you look up and, for the first time, you get a glimpse of it. those blue eyes are almost unrecognizable. that vibrant blue is gone, replaced by something much darker. almost lupine. feral.
it was the first time you ever flinched away from him. you stumbled back, afraid of him.
if you didn't know better then, you certainly did now.
but it's too late for you. he's supposed to unlearn the warmth of your skin, the taste of your lips? he's supposed to let you go? just like that?
no. not a chance in hell.
he doesn't know why you can't see it. can't you see that blood that stained his hand was for you? that agent will never lay another hand on you. you'll never wince under his grip again. he'll never plant seeds of doubt in your head ever again. you're safe. here. in his arms.
you sent him away that night. but he doesn't care. it doesn't matter. he'll always find his way back to you.
he'll always come back.
can’t you hear him just outside your door?
