there is something just so amazing about jason coming back to life, seeing how the world remembered him and hating it. coming back to life and telling the people who loved him that they grieved him wrong. people worry if they’re doing the right thing x person would’ve wanted them to after they died, but no one has ever experienced something like that.

someone who you loved and mourned and who loved you back came back and was disgusted by what grief made of you. they didn’t want anything to do with you. how do you deal with the loss of someone you loved a second time around when they’re standing right in front of your eyes, breathing and alive again?

okay here are my elwood hcs >:]

- is appointed the band's fix it dude and is pretty good at it ! as well as canonically bein a mechanic n regularly works in factory jobs, he also knows basic electrical work

- feeds stray cats. thinks they're funny lookin but in a cute way, sometimes sits in the alleyway at the plymouth hotel and watches the cats runnin around

- can go nonverbal for days at a time, has scared jake n the band multiple times from lurking and not saying anything

- this was established in the last bit but LURKS. THIS MAN WILL LURK. HE WILL LOOM N LURK

- can and will carry anyone around like a little purse dog. walkin somewhere with jake and he's taking too long ? purse dog time.

- is good @ climbing. mf can slide up a telephone pole with complete ease. one time tried to hide from sister mary by climbing onto the roof

- absolutely aroace. tried 2 get in the dating game n it didn't work out, jake gets confused but at the same time both elwood and jake wouldn't know if someone's flirting or not

- would absolutely love cowboy movies. this man wants to live in the wild west n walk into a saloon and have everyone look at him. sits in bed and thinks abt being a cowboy

- trades books with blue lou. they have a secret little book club, because while jake can't read v well, elwood is decent at it so he reads books, magazines and manuals. it's p fun to him

- does eat other things than bread but bread is the absolute safe food, always has some on him and always orders toast when he's a bit cautious of food. also likes baked potatoes sometimes, just not too much stuff on it

- DOESN'T THINK BEFORE HE ACTS AND THEN DOES THE SILLIEST SHIT IN THE WORLD. threw up out of a window, used a shoe as a weapon, ran three miles nonstop to prove a point - refused to walk for at least two days afterward. does a lot of things out of spite [like jake]

- this one is sort of canon, but is v positive ! hence the "we're gonna see mr sline tomorrow. everything's gonna b alright :]" and "try not 2 be so negative all the time !!!!!!!" him, murph and tom are sort of the positive dudes in the band, ambitious ones that keep em going !
