Recently recovering from a flu and my poorly state wonders what the characters could say to such a situation. So here goes 🫣‍

Strife: "Caught a bug, did you? I'd joke about you dodging better, but I guess now's not the time."

Death: "Ah, laid low by something so mundane? I expected more from you. Well, get up soon. We've got worlds to traverse, after all."

War: "Seeing you like this is unsettling. I hadn’t anticipated such a challenge to your health. I will stand watch.”

Fury: "Careless! How could you let your guard down like this? You must recover, and swiftly. We rely on your strength – no more carelessness, understood?"  

Vulgrim: "A little ailment and you're already down? Consider this a prime opportunity for a... strategic retreat. There’s profit in health, after all."

Draven: "I told you to keep yourself covered, did I not? Your neglect has clearly taken its toll. Stop pouting and drink this herbal tea. I’m watching your every move, so take better precautions next time."

The Archon: "Your current state is a disappointment, a blemish on your record. Illness is no excuse for weakness. Overcome it, or be forever marked by this failure."

Nathaniel: "I must confess, your ailment is a mystery to me, as our kind seldom knows such weaknesses. Nevertheless, I stand with you in your time of need."

Abaddon: "This weakness displeases me. A warrior of your caliber succumbing to mere illness? Unacceptable. Steel yourself against this enemy as you would any other."

Azrael: "Looking at you now, one might think the end is near. Stay indoors, recover fully. I insist on it. Do not make light of this; your health is too important to risk."

Uriel: "This illness tests you, yet your resolve seems lacking. Sharpen your spirit as you would your blade. Anything less is unworthy of you."

Lilith: "There's a certain charm in watching you battle this... vulnerability. The strength you'll show in overcoming this will surely be a sight to behold, my dear."

Samael: "Stricken by mortal frailty, are we? How... human. It offers quite a peculiar spectacle, I must admit."

Wicked K: "Ah, what you need, my good fellow, is a proper English breakfast—nothing like eggs, beans, and of course, a cup of strong tea to set you right. It'll have you up and about quicker than you can say 'Bob's your uncle'!"

I think I'm crushing on Uriel and Usiel from Darksiders?

Like.... I'm already dating War.... But I also ship War and Uriel. But what if I just sandwiched my way between them, I mean... I have two hands?

But Usiel. Usiel. He stole my heart in Darksiders 3. He's so blinded by wanting to bring glory back to heaven and he pays for it by getting his ass beat by Fury. I mean, I like Lust and Pride as well, but I think I just like their designs more than I like them.

Oh but then there's Vulgrim. I really like him too. Oh.... Oh no. I don't think I should add more to my f/o list. I'll have to think about this. I don't feel like I would be able to use the same s/i I use for War, for Usiel or Vulgrim. But I could use them for Uriel 🤔.

I already feel bad for moving Chupacabra down to the QPR. It works better for my dynamic with him, but I still feel a little bad for it. Now my brain is telling me I need to add these three to my list.

A while back I posited the idea of Darksiders crossovers into other games, and it just struck me that I did not mention a game that I could totally see the Darksiders characters as character skins in.

SMITE.

Death: At first thought it's obvious who Death could be a skin for Thanatos. I will posit another idea however... Set. Both Death and Set got the acrobatic combat with a staff or scythe, and some of Set's abilities are similar to what Death can do.

Strife: I'm thinking Apollo, just instead of finger guns it's actual guns. Or maybe Loki, considering Strife is the more mischievous of the Four Horsemen and has more Trickster like abilities in Darksiders Genesis.

War: I guess maybe Ares or Tyr, whichever works a bit better. I'm leaning more towards Tyr since what I remember of game play it looks like stuff War can do.

Fury: the only one that comes to mind is Bastet, since I'm pretty sure both use whips as weapons. Or maybe as a skin for Sol, considering Fury's Flame Hollow. Or maybe even Hel.

Azrael: maybe Charon, I don't know, I'd have to look through the list of Gods for SMITE. Or maybe as a skin for Chronos?

Samael: Chernobog comes to mind first, along with maybe Surtr or Thor.

Uriel: that's kinda easy... Bellona. Or maybe Nike or Nemesis

Abbadon: Odin might work?

Ulthane: who else but Vulcan? Dude fits as a skin for Vulcan pretty well if I say so myself. Also could probably work as an Ymir skin, I think.

Imagine for angels, the longer they stay out of Heaven, the less colorful their wings become. If an angel stays for years away, their magnificent pearly white feathers slowly gray, brown and start to mottle black. The further they stray from their realm, they gradually lose their grace.

Soon, if they are gone for years, if not centuries, white is absent, leaving behind sooty black and browns, and their right to return home.
