I just stumbled upon Valeria von Doom and I'm SOLD!

The most bombastic, over the top villain in the Marvel Universe is Godfather to the child of his mortal enemy, who is an adorable little tyke with worringly strong powers? And Doom gleefully takes to the parental role? Hell yeah, count me in. This is 'badass and brat' at its finest

So, I rush to the internet to figure out what comics she is in, read half the wikipedia page, find out it's a mess of retcons and nested side stories and then I get tired. Seriously - why can't marvel ever sell me their stories in a way that's actually digestable. I would buy the SHIT out of an album collecting Valeria von Doom and her shenanigans.

Anyway, that's what fandom is for. I have SO many headcanons right now, starting with Squirrel Girl being a regular babysitter for Valiera when she visits her Godfather (because of course she does, because of shenanigans). Doom has since long given up on getting rid of the vexing rodent themed super hero, so he can just as well get some baby sitting hours from her while they fight. Squirrel girl herself is happy to help, and of course Valera loves aunty Doreen.

The fun thing is that this setup can be used for stories all over the scale, from baby shenanigans to domestic fluff (Doctor Doom finds Squirrel Girl and Valeria asleep on the couch after a long evening's cartoon maraton, and silently wraps a blanket over them), to serious stories (some super villains get the bright idea to kidnap Valeria and Doom and Squirrel Girl goes on a rampage to bring her back before bedtime).

Someone get Erika Hendersen on this shit!
