Yeah actually if we passed everything to each other using our lips as holding devices, or typed with our tongues, or whatever, than accidental kisses would happen all the time and would be less meaningful. I don't think it would remove meaning from intentional kisses but like the accidental stuff would just be normal hey whoops I licked you my bad carry on. Of course Vulcans are gonna be normal about touching hands, there's loads of reasons why touching hands is not romantic

Personality and Lore:
Vulcan isn't exactly keen on the world around him, but its not really his fault. Only mostly being given information about robotics and weapons, he is sort of lost on anything else.
So to put it short: He knows how to create bombs from scraps, but never has seen ice cream until he went to Dreamland.
Vulcan is mostly dependent of others. Always looking for an 'okay' before doing anything. With always being told what to do until recently. He isn't sure what to do with his free will, and is nervous on his own.
He likes to think he is making friends but is unsure as he doesn't understand tone or humor. He has no concept of 'stranger danger' and would trust probably everything you tell him. He hadn't had his heart broken yet and believes everyone has the best intentions. As his friend Keeby, is very brave and clever. Keeby would dive right in to save anyone so.. Shouldn't everyone do the same?
Vulcan was kept away after being created. And only was recently sent on a mission. He was made from scraps of genes and robotics. So partly robotic and partly flesh. He was installed with a chip to hand hold him on what to do and since removing it Vulcan is a bit lost on the world around him.
Vulcan was intended to mimic the ancients by his appearance and outfit. So when introduced to characters like Mgaolor he freaks a bit because he believes he might of accidentally offended an actual ancient.
The reason why he was created to appear that was as his creator wants to retrieve as many weapons of the ancients as they can. And destroy them. So no one has power against them.
My mother and I were watching Star Trek Into Darkness tonight (I'm not feeling well and we love to watch these movies together)
Well we got through the first scene, when Spock is in the volcano and Kirk asks Bones, "If I was there and Spock was here, what would he do?" And Bones replies, "He'd let you die."
Just... I have to say, I know there are a lot of points in that movie that revolve around the sentiment of Spock following the rules and regulations and protocols of Starfleet without hesitation. But there's something in Kirk's eyes when Bones says that, this flash like how can you possibly believe that?
I just know Kirk never fully believed that. He can't. I feel like a big part of the foundation of their friendship in the Kelvin timeline is rooted in Spock's human-side. Kirk knows it's there, just beneath the surface, well controlled but still there
Kirk hears Bones. Understands his concerns even. But doesn't believe them.
Thank you for coming to my strep throat induced TED talk.
Sometimes I forget how big the Star Trek fandom on tumblr is :,) my mind exploded when the Star Trek Post exploded so thank you all for the support!!! Anyways, I drew the man holding a cat :D and will now be re-watching Star Trek
Realizing that Amok Time, from T'Pring's perspective, is basically the equivalent of a Vulcan Hallmark Movie, where a holiday (Pon Farr) makes our hero realize she wants hometown boy Stonn and a simple (Vulcan) life instead of big-city (space) boyfriend Spock, and it all comes to a head in an embarrassing misunderstanding in front of her family, is certainly making me feel some kind of way
Just realised that I can accurately calculate the probability of two Vulcans going into Pon Farr in a Five year mission using my limited knowledge in Statgraphics and statistics
I can even make a tiny graph about it
How many do you think the average starship has? To make the Poisson distribution.
