2022 Standouts - Yet Another Rec List

Okay, LISTEN. There was lots of greatness to be had in 2022. This is not my fault. This is all of your faults. This is what you all get for having so much talent and passion for fandom!! Some of us are overly excitable and chatty and can't shut up!!

In fairness, one can never spread too much goodness and positivity. If I talk about the same fics, the same creators, and make new lists every other day, it's all born out of love and appreciation, which the world could use plenty of! And with that said, these are all my own opinions and preferences so please keep that in mind!

So...here we go?? Should I do a Top 22???? That seems fitting.

1.) Post Mortem [fic, Snarry, E, 17k] by @inarticulateimbecile. I'm still dying over how fabulous this is. The characterizations, the dynamic, the descriptions...chef's kiss, truly. This might be one of my new favorites. (Also this Snarry art they did as a runner up, though all of their art just does things to me.) (I really would have thought art would have been their mention on this list, but no, they had to go be a great writer, as well!! Rude of them, really.)

2.) Slipping [fic, Snarry, 11k] by @bluesundaycake are you kidding me???? This is fabulous. Gritty postwar story that is too real with our hero, Harry, not "living up" to his potential, and not having the happily ever after he so deserves with a bittersweet, hopeful ending. Just lovely.

3.) The Lover and the Boytoy [fic, Drucius, Snaco, Draco/Snape/Lucius, E, 10k] by @fleetingdesires. Why the heck are my friends so talented?? This is offensive. And like...I clicked it for the Malfoycest?? And I left with Snucius feels?? What the heck. Just ??? Brain melted, all I can say.

4.) Clip, Ravel, Cleave [fic, Andromeda/Bellatrix, Andromeda/Ted, E, 15k] by @vdoshu. It was hard to narrow it down to one doshu work because wow they've done the dang thing this year!!!! So much great variety, but this one really blew me away. However toxic and dark the sisters' relationship was, I was rooting for them and heartbroken for them. What a beautiful, dark, sad story.

5.) Wind and Cardamom [podfic, Angelina/Hermione, G, 5 minutes] by JocundaSykes (fic by Arsenic). All of Joc's podfics are truly so, so good. Her voice work is always amazing and I easily can (and have!) listened to her read all day. Nothing like having a good fic read to you while doing chores, let me tell you!

6.) Lover's Flight [poem, Snarry, T, 200] by PinaNaponi (@vulnerasanenturmyprince.) My dear Nina is another case of "stupidly talented friends" and "hard to narrow down", but since I've waxed poetic about some of her other works recently, and in other lists, I figured I'd shed some light on this lovely thing. It's an adaptation of Goethe's "Elf King."

7.) Compulsory Figures [fic, Snarry, 6] by @liladiurne. Listen, my lovely Lila has arguably "better" works, and more "literary" works, but...her smut speaks to me, okay? I read this and was like "Ooooh, Lila can be FILTHY." I'm obsessed with it. Even back when it was just an idea and she was brainstorming it, I was obsessed. In fact, I was grocery shopping with my partner and being useless because I couldn't stay away from our DMs talking about said idea! Then she actually wrote and posted the dang thing and !!!! Obsessed.

8.) Some morning cuddles and coffee [art, Linny] by @luendland. Lu's snarry art is great, but they also do other ships (and characters) too and equally as lovely!! This Linny one speaks to my heart. It's so warm and lovely and gives me all the feels. I do digging for it to fawn over fairly often!

9.) Alphard's Favourite [fic, Sirius/Peter, Sirius/Alphard, M, 4k] by @thistlecatfics. Another top tier fic from Blackcest Fest! Not a ship I ever had interest in but oh gosh. The complicated characterization of Peter, the screwy interactions between him and Sirius, the way Sirius acts out as a way of dealing with trauma. It's such difficult subject matter treated in such a realistic manner. Not "good", not "easy", not "romantic", just that gritty, awful realness of how trauma impacts us, and how we don't always handle it in perfect, ideal ways.

10.) Untitled Harrymort Art [art, Harrymort] by @mrviran. I have no words. This isn't even my ship. But good golly is this spicy hot!! The corset! The sweat! Voldemort's smug, amused, mischievous little grin! Those red eyes and the red string!!!! Wooooo boy.

11.) Death and the Snarry [art, Snarry] by @necromanticnoir. This is another case of "I expected one thing from this creator, but my top choice for them is another??" Great writer is Noir, but also artist???? Multi-talented folk are killing me, I stg. And like...I need more Snarry versions of Klimt works, truly. So gorgeous!

12.) even the stars admire you [art, Snarry] by @acydpop. Speaking of Snarry versions of Klimt, THIS GORGEOUS THING. I'm so obsessed. Look at those colors!! Look at that embrace!!! Oh geez, I'm having feelings.

13.) Tom Riddle: interview with @phantomato [podcast] by @fanficmaverickpodcast. ChaosBlue is a great host and listening to writer interviews is always such a treat! And hearing what Phantomato had to say here was super fascinating, and made me much more intrigued by the Tom Riddle/Voldemort character!

14.) Snape's Hungry for a Snaco...[podcast, Snaco] by @careofmagicalshippers. Every episode of this podcast is great. Megs and Nathan are charismatic, hilarious, passionate hosts and listening to them chat is always such a fun time. Even guest episodes, even when Megs or Nathan is out, they have such interesting people to talk to and such interesting ships to talk about. This Snaco episode in particular spoke to me! (Especially since they went into it intending to cover Snack, but moved onto Snaco fairly quickly...I don't blame them!)

15.) When the Rose and the Fire Are One [ficbinding, Snarry] by @witchyficbindery. The fic by perverse_idyll is just stunning, as all of her works are! I believe earlier this year I was chatting about how I'd love to have fics on my shelf and what I imagined they might look like. And I thought "this fic would have to be STUNNING, just visually stunning." And midway through this year, I saw this post about an actual ficbinding of this fic! And...I was correct. And completely blown away. This cover is more gorgeous than I could have imagined. All of witchyficbindery's bindings are so, so outstanding. I can't imagine how they do it! But this one is the clear standout to me.

16.) 22 femslash recs from 22 years [rec list] by @consistentsquash. Squash always has the best recs, I stg!! Writer crushes I've had, but reccer crushes?? Such good taste, and always such good things to say. And this list especially is great with lots of gems for wlw content!

17.) Traid/Threesome recs [rec list] by @sitp-recs. Liv is a Queen Reccer, truly! This one is especially nice with options for Drarry+ ships, and non-Drarry ships, and a few bonus moresome fics! Lots of good stuff on this list, and more for me to check out! (RIP my TBR, fr.)

18.) The Bravest Man [fan-comic, Snarry, T] by @ac1d6urn. Acid is such a very skilled creator, both as a writer and an artist! The story, the characterizations, the art...all so stunning and perfect!

19.) Snitches and Songs [fic, Snarry, E, 50k] by @lizzy0305. When I tell you how PUMPED I was to see when this story was posted. Lizzy fic? Check. Severus sings? Color me intrigued. 'Magical tattoos'? Sign me UP. Then...I spent ages waiting to read it because I'm weird and like to "save" things that I know are going to be good. And I was right to save it! (Also: I should have read it sooner!) (Please don't expect my brain to do logic, because it will not.) What a gorgeous and enjoyable love story this was! My plan is to give this one a reread soon, actually; with luck, in January! (And I'll have the time and energy to do so!)

20.) A Life Worth Remembering [Snarco, E, 22k] by @writcraft. When Writ first reached out to me, I had to be like "okay, self, be cool. Don't fangirl and scare them off, okay?" Turns out, Writ is a lovely human and hearing they were coming back to Snarry had me just plain ecstatic!! And while Snarco isn't always my jam, I did know how invested they were in writing it, and couldn't resist checking it out! And I'm so glad I did!! One, because Writ's work is always fantastic. Two, because...I was sold on Snarco???? Maybe???? Or as close as I get to being sold. Geez Louise. It's such an interesting tale of de-aged Snape, the memories he lost, the established Drarry, and how they all come together. Their dynamic as a triad, and the individual pairs that make it up (Drarry, Snarry, and Snaco), and the individual people are all so lovely and well done!!

21.) Obedience Lessons [Snarry, E, 7k] by @likelightinglass. Um, how many times have I read this story this year? Too many, probably. (Is there such a thing as too many? Who knows.) ANYWAY. A/B/O with Alpha Harry and Omega Snape???? Yes please and thank you. All the kink and spiciness that I love. 100% did it for me (multiple times.)

22.) The Afterlight [Snarry, E, WIP] by @perverse-idyll. Good golly. Can I tell you how overjoyed I was when PI first posted this???? New PI Snarry???? All of my hopes and dreams coming true, awesome. And it's only 4 chapters in (out of ????) and so far, so GREAT. Postwar, death themes, gritty realism, A+++ characterizations, dark and spicy Snarry dynamic!!!! I don't often read WIPs (my patience is nonexistent, and not knowing how things end is bad for my anxiety (let's please not talk about my undying love and need of spoilers)), but this is totally worth it. I'll wait forever and a day for this fic if I have to. PI has been among my favorite authors for YEARS and for good reason. Characterization and relationships always so on point and exactly what I want and need. Not to mention gorgeous, stunning, unforgettable prose. The words that strike right through the heart, and burrow in to live there forever. Genuinely, PI's work is always stellar, and I already feel in my bones this will be a favorite. It's already the WIP I most look forward to update emails for! (Not that I have many, in fairness.) (Again, I generally steer clear of WIPs; no offense WIP writers. It's for my own good, I swear!) Side note: PI is another excellent human who I so appreciate knowing. Thanks for always taking time to listen to my babbling, especially knowing how busy you always are!

RPG Review: Journey of 1000 Zips

Well... if it's listed on itch as an RPG, then that's what it is... right?? In any case, this was one of the evenings I've ever had. Truly spectacular.

To play this game, you open 1000 nested zip files. Every file is numbered, so you can see how far you have left to go, and occasionally Elliot (@morebluebs) has left a comment in a file name. It's a dialogue between two people slowly losing their minds, in a way.

I spent two hours of my life on this game, and to be completely honest, I wish I hadn't. I also think Elliot wishes he hadn't made it, so at least all's fair in love and zipped files. This "game" is only for those with immense hubris and a growing to-do list filled with tasks they don't want to complete. That said, I'd rate it a 10/10 if I were a rating type of woman, which I'm not.

In order to keep myself sane, I took notes on the thoughts going through my mind as I played this game. Read under the cut to witness my descent into madness. Perhaps that will be enough to deter you from playing it yourself.

File 999. Let's do it.

950. I appreciate the title. Hoping for more of these as we keep going

900. No, it wasn’t that bad. I don’t know why I’m not listening to music while I do this. Perhaps I intuitively understand that this needs to be done in as boring an environment as possible.

899. okay

819. AH!

801. wouldn’t open. I’ve been opening these within each other, so I assume 200 nested files is the limit on my laptop. I moved file 802 to be by itself in my downloads folder and tried again. 801 opened. Huzzah, and the journey continues.

I also can’t believe this took Elliot over a year to make this. I assume this was a boredom and procrastination project. Kudos for ever finishing it tbh

800. I know. I’m doing it anyway

750. doesn’t have a comment in the file name. I didn’t realize I’d started to look forward to the names ever fifty files. Disappointed, I carry on.

743. I see we’re being unpredictable. Does the creator know that by making the opening of each file a gamble, opening these becomes more fun? Belatedly I realize that the opening of file 750 marked a quarter of the journey. Am even more disappointed op didn’t say anything to commemorate this moment.

700. I lost the ability to quit when I opened the first file. I’m committing to the bit. Fuck you.

650. once again, no mid-hundred title. I’m taking this moment to comment that as I do this, my sister is sitting next to me watching a frankly terrible horror movie. I am, I think, ashamed to say I find this activity more enjoyable.

627. Divisible by three, but not by nine.

608. Huzzah! My sister has decided to skip ahead in her movie because it’s boring her. I cannot do the same for my chosen entertainment tonight.

607 is empty. I tried opening it again. 607 2 is also empty. Migration attempt incoming.

Second migration of the night worked. continuing on. While I can’t say I’m enjoying this anymore, I’m glad that this does in fact appear to be 1000 nested files. I would never forgive Elliot if it ended prematurely

600. Don’t ask me to explain my decisions.

564. Elliot, do you feed on the part of my soul that I’m losing while playing this?

525. What does carpal tunnel feel like?

499. I feel nothing.

492. My sister asked me what I was doing. I explained to her. She asked me why I was doing this. I told her I didn’t know. She said nothing and then left. About as much of a response as I could’ve hoped for

461. Hey now. I could have done any number of things to procrastinate. You’re not special, Elliot.

432. Also divisible by three. Obviously I’m not listing every number divisible by three. But it just occurred to me here. As long as I’m taking a break from clicking, I’m going to move from the kitchen to my bedroom now that my sister has finished her movie and gone to bed. My wrist won’t stop cracking.

40 minutes later and I’m back at it.

425. In anticipation of the next file failure, I migrate this one earlier. plus if there’s a comment on 420 I can enjoy it unimpeded by the 200 file limit

407. A number that feels like it should be prime but isn’t

351. This isn’t getting any easier. However, it isn’t getting harder, either. That forty minute break did wonders for the one wrist muscle I’m using to do this.

333. Roughly 2/3 of the way there, although obviously not exactly. I think it would be an interesting psychology study to see how different people react to having to do this.

294. Some people could probably find it in them to quit now.

284. I believe it. Why would you make this. Just to prove you could? Was 1000 the maximum files you could nest, or could you have kept going? Maybe one day we’ll have a sequel and it’ll just be 2000 files. I’d probably play that too. I don’t know why. But I think I would.

260. Another migration. This was definitely less than 200 files, but whatever. Will migrate again at 100 for the auspiciousness.

250. 75% done. I started this an hour and forty minutes ago. 100 minutes ago. So probably half an hour left. It feels like it should be less.

219. If I told my mom about this, she’d probably tell me that downloading things like this off the internet is a one way trip to getting malware on your computer. While I trust itch.io strangers much more than she does, can you imagine explaining that to the person you hire to fix your computer? “Yeah, I downloaded a file off the internet. It contained 1000 zip files nested within each other. I opened every single one and then the last one had this gnarly virus.” Like,,,,, you’d really be bringing that upon yourself. My friend hopes the last file contains something; he predicts the game of thrones shame gif. While I’d appreciate a fun little image, I fully expect there to be nothing except the last file just being called something like “you did it. Congrats on the most pointless accomplishment ever” well. Back to it

198. Elliot, if you had to go through the pain of making this, some of us might as well go through the pain of playing it.

175. I realized I forgot to point out 197, which is the Pokédex number for umbreon, my favorite Pokemon. home stretch.

135. I’m obviously tired. I did the math all wrong. Forgot to subtract the forty minutes I spent not doing this. This began at roughly 8:40 PM. It’s 10:34. So 1 hour 54 minutes minus forty. 74 minutes to open 865 files. Those numbers aren’t nice enough for me to do mental math, but I think I’ll be done in like ten minutes. Lets go!!

117. marks the first time the zipped file had a comment. Before this you had to unzip the file to see the comment. Which begs the question, is this something Elliot changed partway through, or will this be the only time it happens? I guess we’ll see.

I also realized 111 will be the last time we have repeating digit in a 3 digit number. 999 was the first… how far we’ve come.

111!!!! I feel like Elliot a bit. Is anyone going to read this? Am I screaming to the void?? Par for the course, I suppose.

100. Zipped file also has the comment. Clearly Elliot didn’t know how to do it differently at first. Anyway. Time for the final migration!

85. Seeing 2-digit numbers is jarring after all this time.

40. You know what would be so fucking funny? If we got to file 1 and it was labeled 1000 and then there were 1000 more files. I know Elliot didn’t do this - he doesn’t have it in him. But it would be so fucked up. I think that would make me quit. 1000 is enough

We don’t go to earth...

Chu looked at images of earth of their data-pad, staring at the magnificent cities, the majestic countryside, the beautiful blue oceans, and more.

Chu glanced over at their friend, a human named Marie. “We take our next shore-leave together.”

Marie smiled at him, “I’d like that.”

Chu managed to imitate the smile, though his face hadn’t evolved to express itself the same way. Marie said it made him look ‘constipated.’ “Maybe we could visit your home, earth?”

Marie’s smile dropped. “We don’t go to earth.”

Chu cocked their head. A gesture which usually amused Marie because it reminded her so much of a confused dog. She showed no amusement this time. He voiced his thoughts, “I know earth has this reputation as a death-world but -”

“We don’t go to earth,” Marie stated in a more serious tone. “Not even humans go back to earth. Not because it’s a death-world, although, from what I’ve heard, it totally is! You wouldn’t last a day with the climate alone. We don’t go to earth, because there are earthlings down there.”

Now Chu’s confusion was mounting, “earthlings?” he queried, “You mean ‘humans,’ don’t you?”

He’d seen enough human expressions to know a grimace when he saw one. “I’m sure that’s what they call themselves, but no one else does.” She saw his bewilderment and continued, “How many humans are on this ship? A few hundred? how many humans serve in the space-core? Millions? Maybe a billion or so? How many of them do you think list earth as their home?” She didn’t even wait for him to speculate. “None. A big, fat, zero. No human has come from earth since the last of the pioneers left, about 200 years ago.

“I was born on the Seti-Alpha colony. Ask any human on this ship and you’ll get similar answers; Seti-Alpha, Earth 2, New India, New Australia, Nova, Sherman’s Planet, Arian, Arkas, Dagon, and so on. No one is from earth anymore.”

“But why?”

She just shook her head slowly. “We left all the idiots back there.”

His head cocked again, this time in the other direction.

She continued, “It’s what I heard in school growing up. Earth used to have a population of idiots. Some believed the earth was flat, and space wasn’t real.” She noted his surprised expression. “Yeah. Some kind of twisted misinterpretation of ancient religious text. Earth was made by a creator deity, it was a flat plane, covered by a dome called a ‘firmament.’ Space, planets, stars, all that stuff, was just a lie made up by governments to trick people into not beliving in the creator deity.”

Chu’s head began to hurt as he took a second to even try and understand this point of view.

He didn’t have to speak, Marie could tell what he was thinking. “I know. It doesn’t make sense to me either.

“They were shown evidence, they said it was fake. We landed on our moon, they said it was fake. We colonised mars, they said it was fake, like actors in a studio or something.

“Some people even offered to take them into actual space, so they could see it was real. They said it would all be fake, with TV screens, CGI, and VR headsets and other dumb stuff.

“In the end, all the humans who knew space was real left the planet and went out to the colonies to start new lives. The rich at first, then the well-off, and then space travel got so cheap almost anyone could do it. Until the last of the great pioneers left earth and the only people left behind were those people who didn’t think space was real.”

Chu shook his head violently. “That is ridiculous! Where do they think all of the colonists went?!!”

Marie shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know,” she admitted, “Some big hidden city in an isolated area? Culled by the evil secret cabal that’s running the world from the shadows? Underground bases? In cities around the hidden ice wall that’s supposed to surround the flat earth? It was a few hundred years ago and I wasn’t really paying much attention in history class.

“The point is that, the real humans took to the stars and we left the idiots isolated on earth. They’ve had that place to themselves for the last two hundred years.

“That’s why we don’t go back to earth.”

Map: Exploring the World by Victoria Clarke

Read time: 2 Days Rating: 4/5 Stars

The Quote: There are many different kinds of map. Part science, part artistic design, the map as a concept is complex and ever changing, encompassing a range of different forms of graphic expression and display. — John Hessler

Most of this review will just be a list of my favourite maps or notable inclusions and some interesting quotes. Honestly, this is a hard book to review purely because it is what it says on the tin, a collection of maps. Let's all be very honest here Map is a book for a particular kind of person. There are a number of fields that may find it of interest but for most people, it is just something that would not appeal. Some groups of people I think this might appeal to, the obvious is those with an amateur interest in cartography (ie the intended audience), those with an interest in anthropology, potentially art fans, or those looking to fill a reading prompt. It is an appealing coffee table book though, there are some really nice and unusual pairs of illustrations that you are likely to find anywhere else. Of the categories I listed I'm actually the anthropology (though I am using it for a prompt too).

To give you an idea of the layout of the book. For the most part, the maps are presented in sets of two. Each set is tied by having a similar topic, style or theme, though very few have similar colour themes. In most cases, the maps were created decades or longer apart. Each map is captioned by the title, year of creation and artist/ cartographer on one line. The second line has the materials it's made of and on, its dimensions and where it is currently housed. Under this is an approximately 200-word write-up on the map, its importance and the creator. I was reading this at night and found it to be quite like watching a match of tennis or test cricket (sometimes at least). Just one more game, just one more over or in this case just one more page. I found it to be quite a calming read. That said there are quite a lot of random facts I didn't know. Like where Brazil got its name from, a tree.

From here the review just devolves into a list of maps and quotes.

Olafur Eliasson's real-time neon light Daylight Map is the first one that made me this I have to mention this

City of Anarchy by Adolfo Arranz is a brilliant cutaway of Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong

1247s A Map of the Stars by Wang Zhiyuan is stunning

Survival Map 1992-1996 (The Siege of Sarajevo) is such a dichotomy. It is a brightly coloured beautiful thing for a very dark time in human history.

Willamette River, Oregon by Daniel Coe is a gorgeous map and the colouring is fantastic.

Map of Days is a wonderful idea for a self-portrait by Grayson Perry.

Mapping the Brain by the Human Genome Project is a whole other way to present the human brain and I want it on my wall

The embossed Map of Maine is gorgeous and I want to such it.

The interactive Iceland Illustrated is a fantastic

In 1989 the-then American Cartographic Association recommended that rectangular projections should not be used at all for general-purpose world maps, but Peters' contention that we should scrutinize the way we predict the world remains valid. (p.156)

I have never seen the Upside Down World Map and I live in Australia.

I really like A Map of Vesuvius. It is a good way to show the impact of a lava flow.

Carta Marina is so stunningly detailed. I wish I could see it in all its in-person glory

Chicago, USA is just a smart piece of design work

Any given place holds an infinite number of things that can be mapped. An individual neighbourhood has streets and houses and parks - all of which we might expect to see on a map. But it also has power lines and Christmas lights and sounds and graffiti and people with their own aspirations and all this can be shown cartographically if we simply take the time to collect the information." — (p. 193)

This isn't the first map I've seen of Mecca but it is probably my favourite, its the colouring

Serio-Comic War Map for the Year 1877 by Frederick W. Rose is humorous.

"named Bom Bahia (good bay) by the Portuguese, Bombay was ceded by Portugal to Englan as part of Catherine of Braganza's dowry when she married Charles II of England in 1661" — (p.226) How did I not know this? I mean I'm not surprised it was all to do with marriage and dowries but I didn't know

Locals and Tourists by Eric Fischer is a wonderful project idea. I'd love to see it done in other cities. Also, I like the colour choices.

The Earth Seen Through the Sphere of the Stars by Andreas Cellarius is so pretty and so intricate it looks like it belongs on a ceiling somewhere.

2MASS Redshift Survey by John Hurchra, Thomas Jarrett and others I also want on my wall. It's mapping light wavelengths look it's pretty ok.

The Court Game of Geography c. 1840-3 by W. & H. Rock is a fantastic deck of cards and I want it. I would love to see the whole deck, the book only has one suit (hearts, Europe). Honestly, I think we could use this again now.

Chapter 2: The Weirdo on Maple Street

Information: This is the Stranger Thing’s series in all (and I mean all 4 seasons) of its glory. This is told in third person, mainly following the view of Y/n Byers (Jonathan’s twin sister). All credits go to the creators of Stranger Things. (This is also a slow-burn romance between Y/n and Steve). This will be 1 part for every chapter (34 parts, more when season 5 comes out.) I haven’t used tumblr a lot, so bear with me on the formatting and links to chapters. I will try to do a tag-list.

TW: This story contains mature themes such as violence, death, smoking, sex, drugs, alcohol, and profanity

Chapter 2: The Weirdo on Maple Street

The next morning, Joyce sat at the dining room table, cigarette smoke filling the air as she stared down at the missing posters. Y/n sat across from her, hand bandaged, watching her.

“Alright, guys. Breakfast is ready,” Jonathan mumbled, attempting to put a plate of eggs and toast in front of his mom.

“What? No, be careful of the poster,” she shook her head, gathering the poster that had been where Jonathon was putting the plate.

“Yeah, okay. All right,” Jonathan put the plate down, one in front of Joyce, one in front of Y/n, and one in front of himself.

“I can’t eat,” Joyce protested lightly.

“I need you to eat, mom,” Jonathan said softly.

“Listen, listen,” Joyce gestured, glancing down at her watch. “The Xerox place opens in, like, 30 minutes…”

“Yeah,” Y/n nodded.

“And I don’t want you guys to go alone,” Joyce continued.

“No, we know. We’ve got it mom,” Jonathan tried, pushing the plate towards her.

“So I’m gonna have Karen take you because I should be here.”

“Okay,” Y/n nodded.

“We need to make, what, 200, 300 copies?” Joyce asked.

“Yeah, okay,” Jonathan nodded, still standing with his hands on the plates.

“How much is a copy?” Joyce asked.

“Okay, mom. Mom,,” Y/n cut in, trying to calm her mother.

“Ten cents?”

“Mom,” she tried again.

“If we –, ten cents…”

“Mom!” She raised her voice slightly, trying not to sound angry. Joyce looked towards her, putting her elbow on the table and rubbing her head. Jonathan put a hand on Joyce’s shoulder.

“You can’t get like this, okay?” Y/n stuttered, standing up to sit in a chair next to her. She put her hand on her mother’s, heart aching at her tear-filled eyes.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Joyce whispered, taking a drag of her cigarette as Y/n shook her head.

“No, no- it’s ok-” her voice was cut off at a knock on the door. Joyce quickly put out her cigarette, getting up to walk towards the door. Jonathan and Y/n stood at the kitchen entryway as they watched their mom open the door. Y/n sniffed, causing Jonathon to pull her into a half-hug. They leaned on each other as Joyce spoke to Hopper.

“We’ve been waiting six hours,” Joyce’s voice was strained as she let go of the door and backed up, a subtle invitation for Hopper to come in. He stepped forward, hat in his hands as he pushed the door closed.

“I know. I came as soon as I could,” he said, the door clicking shut.

“Six hours,” their mother accused.

“A little bit of trust here, alright?” Hopper spoke, glancing between Joyce and her kids. “We’ve been searching all night. Went all the way to Cartersville,” he continued.

“And?” Joyce asked, small and frail compared to Hopper, who towered over her. His face softened as he looked over her swollen eyes, pink nose and cheeks.

“Nothing.”

“God,” Joyce turned around, voice cracking as she stepped forward slightly. Her hand covered her mouth as she turned back towards Hopper. There was a moment of silence before he spoke again.

“Flo says you got a phone call?” he asked.

“Oh, yeah,” Joyce pointed towards the kitchen, walking to stand next to her children as Hopper trailed behind them. He picked up the phone, eyebrows raised at the burned black ends that had been pressed to Y/n’s ear the night before.

“Storm barbecued this pretty good,” Hopper pointed out.

“The storm?” Y/n questioned angrily, raising her bandaged palm. Hopper glanced from her hand to her eyes, raising his eyebrows.

“What else?” he asked.

“You’re saying that that’s not weird?” Joyce asked voice strained.

“No it’s weird,” Hopper admitted, hanging the phone back up.

“Can we like, trace who made the call?” Jonathan finally spoke. “Contact the-”

“No, it doesn’t work like that,” Hopper shook his head, leaning against the wall and glancing at the three Byers. He sighed, “now, uh, you’re sure it was Will? Because Flo said you just heard some breathing,” his eyes met Joyce’s. She shook her head, eyes teary.

“No, it was him. It was Will,” Joyce argued. “And he was scared,” her voice filled with pain as a tear ran down her cheek. “And then something- just-”

“It was probably just a prank call. It was somebody trying to scare you,” Hopper cut in.

“Who would do that?” Jonathan asked.

“Well, this thing’s been on TV, it brings out all the crazies, you know? False leads, prank calls, uh…”

“No, Hopper, it was not a prank. It was him,” Joyce almost pleaded, shaking her head, gesturing.

“Joyce,” Hopper replied.

“Come on, how about a little trust here,” Y/n cut in with a sharp look, causing all eyes to turn to her. “What, do you think my mom is making this up? Look at my hand, Hopper.”

“I’m not saying anyone is making anything up,” Hopper sighed tiredly, glancing between the two women. “All I’m saying, is this is an emotional time for you.”

“And you think I don’t know my son’s own breathing? Wouldn’t you know your own daughter’s?” Joyce asked, guilt filling her face as she turned to look away. Hopper looked down. His daughter had died a few years ago from cancer. Joyce cried silently, looking towards the floor as Hopper walked away. He looked up after a moment, Y/n watched his eyes, which were glistening ever so slightly. He turned back toward Joyce, looking out the window

“You hear from, uh, Lonnie?” Hopper asked, swallowing, his voice wavering slightly.

“No,” Joyce replied, sounding angrier than she had meant to. Hopper began walking towards the door, placing his hat on his head.

“It’s been long enough, I’m having him checked out,” Hopper decided.

“Oh, come on,” Joyce complained, gesturing franticly, walking towards him. “You’re wasting your time,” she added. She stopped as the door closed behind him. Jonathan stayed with his mom as Y/n walked to the door, opening it and shutting it lightly as she stepped outside.

“Hey Hopper,” she stated, jogging towards him. His back was turned as he stood next to the driver’s side of his police car. “Hopper,” she repeated as she stood behind him. “Let me go.” Hopper turned around to face the younger Byers leaning against his car.

“I’m sorry?” he asked, face emotionless.

“To Lonnie’s. You know, if Will’s there it means he ran away,” she swallowed as Hopper put his back against the car, pulling cigarettes out of his pocket. “And if he sees the cops, he’ll think he’s in trouble. He’ll… he’ll hide. He’s good at hiding,” she finished as the cop turned towards her.

“Yeah? Well, cops are good at finding,” he retorted, cigarette in his mouth as he put his hands on her shoulders. He looked into her teary eyes, ones that reminded him of his own daughter. “Stay here with your mom.” He punched her shoulder lightly, almost in a fatherly way. “She needs you,” he finished. Y/n backed up as he walked to his car, getting in and starting the engine. He pulled away, leaving her standing in the dust as her thoughts drifted back towards Will and a crushing sense of guilt.

A few hours later, Y/n and Jonathon stood next to a school bulletin board. Y/n watched as her brother pinned the missing poster to the board, a few more sitting neatly in her hands. “Hey,” a female voice said from behind her, causing her to turn. Nancy Wheeler stood there, books in her hand.

“Oh, hey,” Jonathan responded while Y/n stood next to him, silent.

“I just…” Nancy tailed off, glancing towards the poster, to Y/n, and back towards Jonathon. “I wanted to say, you know, um,” she shrugged slightly. “I’m sorry about everything.” Y/n glanced towards the group staring at them. Tommy, Carol, Barbara, and Steve Harrington were there, watching them. Y/n caught Harrington’s eyes, almost challenging him to keep staring. He turned his head, and Nancy looked back to see what Y/n was staring at. “Everyone’s… thinking about you,” Nancy smiled. Jonathan looked to the ground as Y/n held in a laugh. She knew what the kids thought about her and Jonathon. They had never been welcome, they were the outcasts of high school, the two who were whispered about when they walked into a room. “It sucks,” Nancy declared.

“Yeah,” Y/n finally said, meeting Nancy’s eyes. Nancy bit her lip, looking away.

“I’m sure he’s fine,” Nancy continued. “He’s a smart kid,” the bell rang, signaling what would hopefully be the end of this painfully awkward conversation. “I have to go, chemistry test,” Nancy smiled, pointing behind her.

“Yeah,” Jonathan smiled slightly, nodding.

“Good luck,” Nancy nodded, turning around to walk down the hall.

“Thanks,” Jonathan nodded, looking after her before turning back towards the board. They made brief eye contact, and Y/n decided not to comment on whatever was shining in Jonathan’s eyes. Something she assumed was left by Nancy Wheeler. Jonathan backed up, Y/n following as the announcements came on.

“Attention, faculty, and students. At 8:00 PM tonight there will be an assembly on the football field in support of Will Byers and his family. All are encouraged to atten-” the voice was cut off as Y/n and Jonathon left the building, not intending to spend the day in school.

A few minutes later, they were driving down the back roads, windows down with the radio at half volume. Some random song ended, and ‘Should I Stay of Should I Go’ came on, causing the siblings to glance at each other as they both thought about a certain memory.

*The three siblings sat on Jonathon’s bed, Will in between the two of them as the song played loudly on the stereo. Will was bouncing his head up and down, grinning as he hung out with his older siblings. “You like it?” Jonathan asked.

“Yeah, it’s cool,” Will grinned, smiling at his older brother.

“All right, you can keep the mix if you want,” Jonathan replied, grinning as his head nodded up and down as well.

“Really?” Will asked, eyes lighting up.

“Yeah, all the best stuff’s on there,” Jonathan claimed. “Joy Division, Bowie, Television, The Smiths… It’ll totally change your life,” he said proudly.

“Yeah totally,” Will agreed. Y/n laughed, causing her brothers to turn to her, smiling.

“Where's my copy, Jonie?” Y/n teased, using the nickname Jonathon hated. They all smiled, but that quickly faded at the sound of their mother in the background.

“Where the hell are you, Lonnie?” Joyce asked. “I don’t wanna hear it. I don’t wanna hear it!” Will looked toward Jonathon’s open door. Jonathan got up, shutting the door to muffle the voices. Y/n turned down the music as Will turned to her.

“He’s not coming, is he?” Will asked.

“Do you even like baseball?” she asked, wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

“No, but… I don’t know,” he shrugged. “It’s fun to go with him sometimes.”

“Come on, has he ever done anything you actually liked?” Y/n asked as Jonathon sat down on the other side of Will.

“Yeah, like the arcade or something?” Jonathan asked as Y/n nodded in agreement.

“I don’t know,” Will shrugged again.

“No, all right? He hasn’t. He’s trying to force you to like normal things. And you shouldn’t like things because people tell you you’re supposed to. Okay?” Jonathan asked, glancing between his brother and his sister.

“Especially not him,” Y/n finished, nudging Will slightly. Will nodded as Jonathon spoke.

“But you like the Clash? For real?” Jonathan asked.

“For real, definitely,” Will responded, grinning. At his words, Y/n stood up, turning the volume on the stereo up as they all nodded their heads along.

Y/n was pulled out of sleep as her car door opened, cold air hitting her side.

“Come on, Y/n,” Jonathan whispered, offering her his hand.

“Thanks, Jonie,” she mumbled back. Usually, Jonathon would respond with a light shove or quick retort, but the nickname was comforting to him at this moment. She took his hand and shut the door, and they walked next to each other on the wet pavement, making their way towards the porch of the old house. Jonathan peered in as they stood under the tan awning held up by swirly metal posts. He stepped back as Y/n looked in as well. There was a small green chair next to a TV that was on. On most surfaces was a can or two and plates with half-eaten food. She backed up, and Jonathan knocked loudly.

“Hello?” he called out, knocking again. They heard a voice from inside and stood back as a young woman opened the door- most likely Cynthia. She was in tight jeans and a blue top and had a ton of makeup on her face. She looked the two up and down before speaking.

“Can I help you?” she asked.

“Yeah. Is Lonnie around?” Y/n raised her eyebrows.

“Yeah he’s outback, what do you want?”

“To look around,” Y/n said as she shouldered past Cynthia, Jonathan following behind closely.

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” Cynthia asked.

“We’ll be fast,” Jonathan called out to her.

“Hey!” She yelled.

“Hey, Will?” Y/n called out, walking quickly through the house. Jonathan followed, repeating the same words as they searched for Will.

“Will? Will you here?” he asked, shaking a locked door. Y/n peaked into the other rooms, one being a green bedroom with more cans and an ugly knitted blanket.

“Will?” she asked. She followed Jonathan but jumped as he was slammed up against the wall, grunting. She recognized the man holding him by the collar as their deadbeat father. She dug her hand into her father’s shoulder, pulling him backward as Jonathan shoved him hard.

“Get off!” Jonathan asserted. Lonnie smiled at him, standing too close for comfort for his children.

“Damn, you’ve gotten stronger,” Lonnie nodded. Y/n rolled her eyes as Cynthia spoke a few feet away.

“Will someone please explain what the hell is going on?” she asked, shaking her head as she gestured. Lonnie glanced from her to Y/n and Jonathan.

“Jonathan, Y/n, Cynthia. Cynthia, this is Jonathan and Y/n. My oldest twins.” Lonnie tried pulling Y/n into a hug, but she quickly elbowed him back.

“Get off me, man.”

Five minutes later, Jonathan and Lonnie followed Y/n into the backyard, where she proceeded to lift the trunk on his car.

“Really? You want to check up my ass, too?” Lonnie asked, arms going up as he stared at his daughter. Y/n glared at him, slamming the trunk shut hard. “I told you the same things as I told those cops, he’s not here and he never has been.”

“Then why didn’t you call mom back?” Jonathan asked, brushing his wet hair out of his eyes. Lonnie shrugged, a stupid little smile on his face.

“I don't know, I just… I just assumed she just forgot where he was.” Lonnie shrugged again. “You know, he was lost or something. That boy never was very good at taking care of himself.” Lonnie laughed a little as he finished.

“This isn’t some joke, all right?” There are search parties, reporters…” Jonathan shook his head annoyed.

“Hopper’s not still chief, is he?” Lonnie asked, hands in his pocket. Y/n looked away, silent. Lonnie shook his head. “Tell your mother she’s gotta get you out of that hellhole. Come out here to the city. People are more real here, you know? And then I could see you both more.” Y/n scoffed, shaking her head. “What, you think I don’t wanna see you guys?”

“We know you don’t,” Y/n smiled bitterly.

“See that’s your mother talking right there,” Lonnie pointed at them. “She even know you’re here?” Y/n met his eyes as Jonathan looked down. “Oh great, one kid goes missing the other two run wild? That’s some real fine parenting right there. Look, all I’m saying is maybe I’m not the asshole, all right?” Jonathan shook his head angrily, then walked towards him, shoving a folded missing poster into Lonnie’s chest.

“In case you forgot what he looks liked,” he muttered as he walked towards the house to leave. Y/n stood for a second as her father looked down at the paper.

“Hopper may not be perfect,but you aren’t even half the man he is. And yeah, you are the asshole, Lonnie,” Y/n spat, venom filling her voice as she jogged off towards Jonathan. Cynthia walked past her hugging Lonnie’s waist.

“He’s kinda cute, hmm? Maybe I’ll trade you in for the younger model,” Cynthia laughed. Lonnie nodded, smiling, which faded as he watched his two oldest disappear.

That evening Jonathan left to look for Will. He left a note for his sister and mother, who were both asleep. Joyce was curled up in the armchair, the new phone next to her on the chair. Y/n was laying on the couch, curled into a ball. They both jumped as the phone rang, and Joyce picked it up hastily as Y/n sat up and squinted at her.

“Hello?” Joyce asked. There was no response. She stood up, saying, “hello?” again. She listened, once again hearing muffled breathing. “Who is this?” Y/n stood up, walking to her mom. “Will?” her mom cried, making Y/n grip her mother’s shoulder. “Will? Will it’s me,” Joyce sobbed, shaking. “Talk to me,” she patted her chest, wrapping an arm around Y/n for support. “I’m here, just tell me where you are honey. I can hear you, please,” she pleaded. Static filled the phone, then Will’s voice rang out loudly from the telephone.

“Mom?” he asked, shocking both Joyce and Y/n. The lights flickered as Joyce gasped.

“Will?!” Y/n cried out, tears running down her face.

“Yes, it’s us! It’s us!” Joyce cried out, bending down as she cried.

“Where are you? Where are you? Just talk to us–” Y/n cut off as her mom screamed, blue electricity shooting from the telephone to around Joyce’s ear. She dropped the phone, and it hit the ground. Joyce quickly hunched over, hands bringing the now blackened phone to her ear.

“No! No! Oh no, no, no!” Joyce cried out as she smashed buttons down. She threw the phone, tearing it out from the wall. She sat on the ground, throwing her hands up as she screamed in frustration. She fully sobbed now as Y/n hugged her, her arms wrapped around her mom as she shook silently against her. The light flickered a few times, causing Joyce to stand abruptly. Y/n looked at her mom confused but stood up to follow her. The light in the hallway flicked, and as they walked toward it the lamp at the end flicked too.

“Jonathan?” Y/n called out. The lights kept flickering as Y/n grabbed her mom’s hand as they continued slowly down the hallway.

“What?...” Joyce whispered, staring at the flickering lights in confusion. As they neared the end where Will’s room was, music blared, scaring both of the women to their core. Y/n stepped in front of her mom, hand twisting the doorknob as she pushed it open. “Will? Joyce asked from behind Y/n. They both stared at the stereo that was blasting ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’. The lamp flickered, and Y/n watched as Joyce neared it. She put her hands on the cover. “Will, is that you?” Their eyes widened as the lamp continued to get bright, almost blinding. Then, the music and light suddenly went out, leaving them in silence and darkness. Joyce whimpered, looking around. Y/n stared at her mother, but soon her mouth opened in horror as something protruded from the wall. The wallpaper stretched, almost like skin, as something made a horribly inhumane sound. Something was moving, clawing, a monster coming out of the goddamn wall. Y/n shrieked, and Joyce’s heart dropped. She grabbed her daughter’s hand, and they ran screaming out of the house, tears sliding down their faces as the front door slammed open. They ran together, Y/n pulling the door shut as her mom hopped into the driver’s seat of the car. Y/n rounded the front, jumping into the passenger seat.

“Oh god,” Y/n cried as her mom fiddled with her keys. “Oh, my god,” she whispered, as Joyce finally started the engine. All of a sudden, that same song was blasting from inside the house. They could see their electricity flicker from the car, fear, and curiosity striking through Y/n’s blood. “Will,” Y/n whispered, low so only she could hear it. Joyce sat frozen, but Y/n got out of the car and walked back toward the house. Joyce stopped the car, getting out to follow her daughter. They walked slowly towards the house, hand-in-hand. They nodded at each other before opening the door, carefully stepping inside towards the loud music and flickering lights. Towards Will, and towards whatever secrets Hawkins was keeping.

Guilliman was born on Macragge, where he lived with his father until he was sent away to Terra at age 10 to train as an officer in one of their armies. He eventually became one of their greatest generals and led many successful campaigns against xenos races like Orks and Tyranids before being reunited with his brothers during their attack on Horus' forces at Isstvan V (which we'll get into later). After this battle was over, Guilliman helped write up new rules for how Space Marines should be organized into Chapters so they could better fight against threats like Chaos or other aliens without breaking down under pressure from inside their own ranks; these guidelines became what we now know today as "The Codex Astartes." 8) Yarrick Imperial Commissar Yarrick is a hero of the Imperium, having served in its armed forces for over 200 years. He is most notable for his actions during the Second War for Armageddon in which he led an army of Imperial Guard soldiers against Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka's Orks on Armageddon Prime and eventually defeated them. Afterwards, Yarrick was given command of all Imperial forces on Armageddon by Lord Commander Militant Angevin who gave him full authority over all military matters within his jurisdiction. This included being able to give orders directly to any officer regardless of rank or position within their chain of command -- including Space Marines! 7) Vulkan The fourth Primarch to be found was Vulkan, the master of the forge and creator of the Promethean Creed. He was found on Nocturne, a planet which had been devastated by war with its neighboring world of Armageddon. Vulkan was raised by his adoptive father and became a great warrior in his own right before leaving his home to join his brothers in battle against Horus' rebellion. Vulkan led his Salamanders Legion through many campaigns against Chaos forces during The Great Crusade until they were sent back to Terra when Horus attacked it with an army comprised mostly of Traitor Legions (those who had turned away from the Emperor). During this time on Terra, Vulkan created many weapons that would later become staples among Space Marines such as bolters and flamers.

He also helped create other items such as power fists which were used by Terminators instead of regular Power Weapons because they were stronger than those used by normal Space Marines but still did not require too much maintenance or training for use outside their intended purpose within combat situations where only one hand could be used effectively at any given time due to heavy armor requirements etcetera... 6) Khârn the Betrayer Khârn the Betrayer is a champion of Khorne, the Chaos God of Blood and War. He is known for his ferocity in battle and his uncontrollable rage, which often leads him to attack friend and foe alike. Khârn is also infamous for being the only person to have ever killed his own Primarch, Angron, in a fit of berserk fury. Khârn is armed with Gorechild, a chainaxe that has been imbued with dark magic by Khorne himself. When Khârn kills an enemy with Gorechild, the axe becomes stronger and more deadly, making him even more dangerous in combat. 5) Typhus Typhus is a Chaos Space Marine and the current Herald of Nurgle. He is known for carrying the Destroyer Hive, a weapon that unleashes swarms of flies that can infect and kill those they swarm upon. Typhus is also an accomplished sorcerer, and can call upon the powers of Nurgle to heal himself or spread disease among his enemies. Typhus was originally a member of the Death Guard Legion before being corrupted by Nurgle. He now leads the Plague Marines, and is a feared opponent in battle. 4) Eldrad Ulthran Eldrad Ulthran is a powerful Farseer of the Eldar race. He is known for his mastery of the psychic arts, and has used his powers to predict the future and manipulate events to his advantage. Eldrad is also a skilled warrior, and has fought in many battles against the enemies of the Eldar. Eldrad is the leader of the Ulthwé Craftworld, and is revered by the Eldar as a wise and powerful leader. He is also feared by his enemies, who know that he is capable of manipulating events to his advantage. 3) Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka is a powerful Warboss of the Ork race. He is known for his cunning and strategic mind, and has led many successful WAAAGHs against the enemies of the Orks. Ghazghkull is also a formidable warrior, and has defeated many opponents in single combat. Ghazghkull was originally a member of the Goffs Clan before striking out on his own. He now leads the mighty Goff WAAAGH, and is a feared opponent in battle. 2) An'ggrath the Unbound An'ggrath the Unbound is a Greater Daemon of Khorne. He is known for his immense size and strength, and is one of the most powerful daemons in the service of Khorne. An'ggrath is also a skilled warrior, and has fought in many battles against the enemies of Khorne. An'ggrath is called "the Unbound" because he was able to break free of the chains that were used to bind him to the realm of Chaos. He now roams the galaxy, seeking out worthy opponents to battle. 1) Horus Lupercal Horus Lupercal was one of the Primarchs of the Space Marine Legions, and was once a loyal servant of the Emperor. However, he was corrupted by Chaos during the Horus Heresy, and led a rebellion against the Imperium that nearly destroyed it. Horus was a master of strategy and tactics, and was able to turn many of the other Primarchs to his side during the Heresy. He was eventually defeated by the loyalist forces at the Battle of Terra, but his legacy lives on as one of the most dangerous figures in the history of the Imperium.

⭐ STAR PEOPLE / WANDERER'S PT2 ⭐

This section will share information on two groups of undercover {so to speak} Space Brothers known as Star People and Wanderers. Both of these groups are extra-terrestrial beings who have entered our incarnational cycle to assist with the transformation into the Aquarian Age. At the end of this section we will discuss that even though Star People and Wanderers are not native to our planet Earth, neither is any soul which is associated with the Earth at this time or in times past. The reason for sharing this is we must remember all people are children of the Creator, no one is any more special than another. Each of us is on our own path, which we have chosen. It is just that some of us are rebelling against the true reality of Oneness and Love, thus on the human level appear not to be as advanced. Yet all souls have the same potential of greatness or becoming one with the Godself within!! Anyway, let us begin by investigating the Star People.

The idea of Star People was introduced by a book with the same title by Brad & Francie Steiger, in early 1980's. Now, this book is part of a five book series, called the Star People Series. The other books are: "Revelation: The Divine Fire"; "Gods of Aquarius"; "Reflections from an Angel's Eye" & "The Seed".

The information on Star People, basically came through Mr. Steiger's search for paranormal phenomenon, since he is an author of over 200 books. He discovered, by working with individuals through regressional hypnosis, that certain people volunteered to come to the Earth, to spiritually uplift the planet, and had another world/dimension in the universe they called home. He discovered that the Star People were basically two kinds. Star Helpers, or earthlings who assisted the Star Seed in their work, and Star Seed, which would be the extra-terrestrial souls volunteering to work here to help create the Golden Age. In order for the Star Person to operate effectively on Earth, they had to be disquise as a normal type of Earthling, thus they had a regular birth just like anyone else. When they incarnated into the Earth, they had to obey the rules and regulations of the Earth, which included having a memory veil placed over their consciousness where they totally forget their Star Heritage so they can function as Earth people.

Much of the work to help transform our Earth, requires helpers in the material levels to be examples of Light and Truth, so many volunteered. Mr. Steiger discovered in his analysis that many Star Seed had certain physical weaknesses or spiritual experiences. The physical ailments are due to the fact that the vibratory rate on their home worlds is much greater than on the Earth, thus the spirit of the Star Seed can not exactly fit into the gross level of Earth bodies.

In the Star People book, there is a very comprehensive lists of physical/personality attributes. A few of these conditions include: Compelling eyes; lower than normal body temperature; an unexpected child [i.e. - Star Seed who wanted to get down here in a hurry]; chronic sinusitis; hypersensitivity to electricity or electro-magnetic forcefields; experience a buzzing or audio tone in the ears prior to a psychic-spiritual event or warning of danger; have flying dreams; children & animals are attracted to you; felt Earth mother/father not real parents, had unseen companions as child, etc ... The Star Seed usually learn of their identity through a series of spiritual experiences or synchronicity which activates their memory. But as Dr. Puharich mentioned at the Star People Festival, a very small percentage of these special souls are able to deal with the intensity of the Earth and remember. Many Star Seed become depressed because they miss their homes and find the Earth life so difficult. However, this helps in another way for them to understand the conditions of their brothers and sisters here on Earth. Does any of this sound like you?

Mr. Steiger was the keynote speaker at the Star People Festival in 1983 and shared with us that the name was basically coined from his contact with Native American Indians. It seemed that they have legends of contacts with beings from the stars, or Gods, and thus called them Star People. Some stories similar to this that I have heard on the road, say that some of the Native American tribes today are descendants of visitors from the stars. Mr. Steiger states in his book, Gods of Aquarius,

Two other books which also contain information on Star People are "Secrets of the UFOs," by Elkins and Rueckert, quoted in the last section and Ruth Montgomery's new book, "Aliens Among Us," which shares information on several Star People she has had personal contact with. What I find encouraging with Ms. Montgomery is that her book is going into major chain bookstores, so many people can read about Star People.

WANDERERS

WANDERERS has been reported in the books written by one of the early UFO researchers, G.H. Williamson in the late 1950's, "Other Tongues, Other Flesh" and "Secret Places of the Lion" {just reprinted by Destiny Books of New York City, the other book is out of print}. The Wanderers are also extra-terrestrial in origin, although they don't seem to just have one place they call home, as they go from world to world helping to uplift them into the Light, so they can carry on themselves. Well, Mr. Williamson gave us permission to reprint parts of his book, "Other Tongues, Other Flesh," so I will let him explain these helpers to you directly.

Chapter 2: THE WANDERERS

"TO THE APPLES WE SALT WE RETURN!! Space Intelligences said that this was one of their old prophecy legends, but what could it mean? It sounds as though space people salted away some apples and were now returning to them. But what about the word 'apple'; what did it represent?"

"For many months now, evidence has been accumulating at a rapid rate that there are many people on Earth that don't really belong here! This doesn't mean that they came here aboard a Flying Saucer, disembarked, put on a tweed suit, polished up their English language and moved into the house next door. It does mean, however, that there is a special class or order of beings in the Universe that are different from the rest because of the fact that they wander form one world to another, and from one system to another. They are the 'chimney sweeps' of Creation. It is their specific job to go to the 'trash cans' of the Universe and give aid to their fellow man on those backward worlds."

"If these Wanderers didn't arrive here by spaceship, how did they get here? They volunteered to come to Earth and go through the reincarnational cycle here. In other words, they were born here! In brief, they were exactly the same as all the other people on Earth, except for one thing: they didn't belong here! They occupy physical vehicles and are born to parents of their own choice who they feel will best give them the advantages and training they need to fulfill their mission on Earth."

"It was this special order of beings that arrived with the Son of Thought Incarnate (known to us as Jesus) when He came to Earth for the first time to begin his instruction. It is said that 144,000 souls or Lesser Avatars arrived with the Elder Brother, Son of Thought Incarnate. Here we see the use of the mystic numeral 12."

"Seeds may be planted but they can rot and never reach maturity. This means that the people of outer space knew what was going to develop on Earth. They 'planted' some of their own people here; 'salted' them away like 'apples'. But every seed that is planted or 'salted away' does not grow and reach maturity; it may rot in the ground because of many conditions. Therefore, some of the 'WANDERERS' now on Earth do not know who they are -- they are lost in the ways of the Earth, and on physical death will return to their own worlds. They will be none the worse for their experience, except that their mission will not be accomplished."

"Space intelligences knew that a certain percentage of the 'apples' would fall by the way, therefore enough of them incarnated into Earth bodies to make up for this inevitable deficiency. Space friends also said: 'Many of our people are in your world now. There are nearly ten million of them, with six of those million in the United States itself."

"So there are several million people in the world that have nothing to do with this world as far as learning anything from it that they haven't already acquired. They either passed through many lives on the Earth planet itself, or they learned the same lesson on another world similar to our Earth. At any rate, they are far ahead of the average Earth man or woman. Why do they come back? The answer is, because they want to help; they feel that there is something far more beautiful for man Earth to attain. They are the reason we have progressed more in the last fifty years than we did in the previous ten thousand years! Many of our great and famous historical personages were 'apples'. Those specifically mentioned were Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Nikola Tesla, and others."

"The WANDERERS go through a normal childhood not realizing who they are. If they are not among those 'seeds that rotted' they someday remember who they are, where they are from, and what they are here for. Many 'apples' had memory veils lifted about 1947, the year when Kenneth Arnold brought the 'Flying Saucer' to the attention of the world."

"How can we identify or recognize a 'WANDERER'? It is not easily done. However, these space friends who work and live with us daily, are identified by their brothers in the sky by certain body markings. These marks may take the form of scar tissue that has been present on the body from birth and thereby not acquired by any natural means, and they may take the form of unusual types of stigmata. The arrangement and type of marks will determine the individual's place of origin and other pertinent facts. The marks serve more as a 'key of remembrance' to the individuals they are located on. By thinking of these strange scars, the 'apple' is automatically put into the right frame of mind and vibrations for lifting of a memory veil."

"These 'WANDERERS' are truly 'Wayfarers' when they take up life on Earth. For they very seldom stick to one job for long periods of time. Some are inclined to be 'nervous' or highly sensitive types. This is because of the lower vibratory rate on Earth. Many of them have intestinal disorders and stomach trouble. They move from one job to another, and many of them are found in communications, transportation, and scientific fields. The infiltration of the writing and radio profession has been on a colossal scale."

"The Saucer men recognize these 'WANDERERS' because they aided them before they came to Earth to help. In other words, 'apples' lifted up other planets to their present majestic state of progression where all war, greed, lust and falsity is non-existent. They passed through Mars, Venus, and other spheres before volunteering for the Earth mission. And the mission to Earth began not just one or two lifetimes back, but it all started in the Miocene Epoch millions of years ago!"

"The following message was received in the central part of the United States by a Wanderer:

"Some might ask: 'Why don't the occupants of the Saucers do the job of lifting up humanity on Earth?' Actually, they couldn't do the job alone. First of all, in order to get by for very long in present day society, an individual has to have papers and records proving his birth age, place of residence, driver's license, draft board classification, etc. Secondly, people of the Earth wouldn't want to be 'lifted up' or taught by 'foreigners' from outer space. But, if space people are among them as their own kind, they will be raised automatically into higher states of progression. Only if the 'apples' volunteer for such a mission can it be accomplished."

"Saucer occupants and 'WANDERERS' in our own Solar System belong to an order known as Knights of the Solar Cross. The literal solar cross is a luminous appearance consisting of a light-pillar combined with a segment of the parhelic circle, forming a cross with the sun at the center. A similar phenomenon about the moon is called a lunar cross."

"Solar Cross, used here, however, means something entirely different. While investors can buy and sell NFTs on a site such as Opensea, those are digital properties on the blockchain and there are not always KYC (Know Your Customer) laws in place within the crypto space.

When it comes to physical property, especially land and homes, there are laws, regulations, and taxes involved. For a deal within the U.S., there must be compliance with the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act. As the crypto marketplace matures, KYC laws and other regulations will become more important. Laws across the U.S. may have to change how deeds get recorded. You can’t be selling anything to anyone without knowing who they are, let alone real estate that will be traded on secondary markets.

Only time will tell if this type of largely unregulated property transfer will be allowed to continue to happen. We may see different laws for different counties and states at the outset. Federal law reigns supreme in most cases, yet it could take longer to materialize depending upon political circumstances. Regulators and legislators are still trying to wrap their heads around what to do about crypto.

Fractionalized Ownership

There is also tokenized real estate. Most people don’t know this, but you can not legally tokenize an actual property. To tokenize real estate, you must tokenize the LLC that owns the property rather than the property itself.

Once the LLC is tokenized, you then fractionalize the LLC into a certain number of digital tokens built on top of the blockchain of your choice. Real estate tokenization is very similar to fractional real estate investing in this sense. Using the aforementioned LLC method, there are several companies offering partial ownership of property with several options to earn profit. Let’s explore what they’re doing.

Real Token provides investors with a simple, intelligent, and user-friendly method to buy into fractional and tokenized properties. Investing with RealToken means low maintenance property ownership, access to cash flows related to the property (e.g., rent), and frictionless ownership transactions via RealTokens.

Ownership of each property is distributed across a finite number of representative tokens. Token owners can collect revenue from rent and vote on property decisions based on their overall token share. Each RealToken property has a property management company overseeing it on RealToken owners’ behalf. The property management company sources tenants, collects rent, and manages repairs so the diverse group of RealToken owners don’t have to.

Next up is Lofty AI. Like many crowdfunding apps before it, Lofty sources and renovates properties before renting them out. LoanSnap uses its Bacon Protocol to offer the first NFT mortgages as home equity loans. The Bacon Protocol introduces a new way for crypto wallet holders to hold a coin backed by the same types of mortgages that banks, insurance companies, and governments use. Because of the efficiency of the blockchain, users of the Bacon Protocol get the majority of the return, about 2 – 3% vs a standard 0.1% if you kept that money in a savings account. Bacon Protocol’s stablecoin, bHOME, is backed by liens against homes in the United States and grows based on payments from the loans made against these liens.

The future is approaching fast

The point of the blockchain is having a true peer-to-peer economy by pushing for decentralization and cutting out unnecessary middlemen.
