Crossy, where can I read your Forgotten Stones AU?

You're not gonna believe this. I accidentally deleted my blog a while back so the specific post I used to link to on my vids got obliterated. Let me see how much I can recite from memory. Here are all the OCs

On one of Blue Diamond's planets, Pink Diamond was allowed to try out a Kindergarten. It went well, so she moved on to Earth while the process was supervised by a Peridot and her team of Feldspar, which are generic little starter kit gems that are impossible to fuck up and pad out personnel teams (Corals pad out Quartz crews.)

Then the apocalypse happened!

Rock-"eating" microbes has completely disrupted the function of gems, shattering every single gem on the planet, including the ones still in the Kindergarten. Feldspar is one of a generic gaggle of Feldspars, made the only survivor because in a fight to escape she accidentally took Peridot's place in an isolation chamber until the microbes stopped breaking down gems like that.

The planet was put under quarantine, and Feldspar had no choice but to spend the next few thousands of years figuring out a way to reverse the damage to repair shattered gems using what little Diamond Oil she has at her disposal.

Tiger's Eye and Rutile are her sole successes, and it's not perfect; they tend to glitch, and the more fusions happen, the worse the glitches get. In this AU, Rutiles don't fuse into anything, they're a type of equipment for other gems that have radar features and such, so while Rutile glitches too, she's the only one that doesn't cause problems during fusions.

Feldspar found Coral slightly deeper than most injections, allowing her to be the only survivor out of all the Kindergartens, but also making her malformed, so she has the mind of a child. Literally. She has almost no pre-programming and has to learn everything manually.

Without Homeworld roles or staff to help with certain tasks, Rutile has taken over the job of a Bismuth with construction, and Tiger's Eye has become Steve Irwin wrangling crocs and forcing Feldspar to learn to treat organic life in her spare time, which, in combination with Coral's lack of programming, inspires her to create Elkhorn and Tridacna.

Elkhorn Coral and Tridacna Pearl are Feldspar's test models for using more organic life to increase the amount of working Gems on the planet, but she has no idea they've emerged, or that the quarantine of the planet has allowed sapient life to develop. Elkhorn Coral lives in a fishing village and retrieved Tridacna when she emerged. So they are both just fishing several miles away.

The Movie video I did is actually a secondary AU, "what if they were all successfully picked up and Feldspar became a Diamond bootlicker only to realize Coral is considered Off Colour and got shattered for it, and her creations will no doubt soon follow".

It's not in the video, but Pink Pearl is one of the antagonists! In my head she has a villain song that's functionally like It's Over Isn't It (Reprise). Rutiles don't fuse into new gems so she fuses and unfuses with dozens of them to vastly improve her range and mobility and it's Circque Du Soleil in the reception room. I was so obsessed with her she was my blorbo supreme

While the whole of this setting was written in Season 4 i think?? (Not the movie AU that was a direct reaction to the complete series) Feldspar and Coral also have Steven Universe Future designs! Set in the movie universe. While previous designs make it distinct that they have no inherent allegiance to any diamond, there's no call to a diamond at all in their new designs.

They have been exiled back to their home planet to live a happy life of science with a thriving gem colony that protects the planet's organic life. In the years she spent in Homeworld Coral has improved her ability to collect data so she's spiritually a 14-year-old. When Steven comes to her for advice about his emotional instability she says "I exploded into light, remember? Anyway have you tried raising a child." And Steven says "the child is why you exploded." And Feldspar says "No comment."

Steven Universe/She Ra and how they accidentally turn groups of characters into one awful entity

I rewatched some early Steven Universe with @phosphoricbomb and I came to perhaps a more coherent description of what I hate about the show later on, and if you're a She-ra fan, I'm going to use an episode about that show as an example to make it clear.

I think, She-ra and SU are both really, REALLY good at character crafting. You care deeply for Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, and Peridot and Lapis, when the show focuses on them individually, or on a single relationship they have which contrasts/complements them against each other.

Same for She-ra, not just its main characters which are a really fine batch, but also its side characters. When it invests time in Mermista, Perfuma, Scorpia, Entrapta, Frosta, Netossa and Spinerella, as INDIVIDUALS or as one-on-one relationships, you care about them.

But if you talk to anyone about "the princesses" in she-ra, they tend to hate them. Why is this?

There are many mentions of "the princesses" as an entity. At the start of the show it's Glimmer and Scorpia saying they get excluded by other princesses. However at no point in the show do you see an example of this occuring. There's Entrapta, where we do see this happening. Not in "No Princess Left Behind", where Entrapta herself INTERPRETS this as happening, but in "Launch". Which is an episode that has been critiqued by many for how the characters behaved. And I think it's "Launch" where people decide that "The Princesses" suck ass.

The reason for it is because they are fused into a single character. All individuality is sort of... eradicated, any different opinions tehy might've had on the situation individually is erased because the story needs them to have an antagonism against Entrapta, and tehy need to have Entrapta antagonise them, which means she needs to behave ridiculous and annoying so that they are "justified" for their response. So what I'm saying is that "Launch" is a disservice to Entrapta AND to "the Princesses" because while to an extent it adds character to Entrapta, it has to also write her and everyone else badly to get to the character moment in the first place. It didn't prove that her perception of a "me vs them" scenario was wrong, but the ending tried to say that she had proven herself to the "them", which shouldn't even exist because the princesses should all be individual characters, not this grouped together mass. I wish the show would've simply decided already if Entrapta was being discriminated and was justified for feeling left out, rather than the characters acting as a single entity berating her for her autistic quirks, and the show acting later in the same episode like it was over her building robots.

ANYWAY, that ONE EPISODE from She-ra as well as some weird comments from the first season COMPLETELY CHANGED how the fandom views an entire group of characters, regardless of how fun and well written they are as individuals.

Why does this relate to Steven Universe?

Because the ENTIRE SHOW KEEPS DOING THIS!!!

Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl are all brilliant characters, but as soon as the show groups them into one entity, or god forbid, groups EVEN MORE CHARACTERS INTO THE SAME ENTITY, that is when it starts falling apart.

This isn't just in the late series either, this is in several episodes in the first few seasons!!! "Full Disclosure" and "Joy Ride" have "the Gems" act as Steven's overbearing guardians, disregarding how, say, Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst usually have different approaches. In those episodes they all have the same brain.

Steven Universe season 5 and Steven Universe Future are very much "Steven against the World". There are many episodes where, sure, Pearl or Garnet might fuck up and say the wrong thing, but you'd expect Amethyst, Lapis, Peridot, literally anyone who gets him on his level to try and make an individual attempt to connect with him. Spinel gets half an attempt? But every character - Every character, INCLUDING THE DIAMONDS - gets grouped into this category of "The Gems". It's exactly the same as She-ra's "The Princesses".

An early example of complete personality erasure is probably... Lapis and Peridot. The show tried to make them a duo but it didn't really work on their relationship, it just needed to wipe them out of the story so treated them as one character.

The Off-colours are probably the worst example from SU proper. How they all become Lars's backup.

I think it's unfortunately because every time SU really tried to make an ep about a character, it did a great job. Every time it WASN'T about why that character is an obstacle to Steven it did well, but unfortunately when the show focused more on him, it had to make everyone else... the same enemy. Regardless of how their character was written before.

Anyway that was my ted talk, i really love early SU and it was sad watching Jailbreak and On the Run again because those eps are so good at handling the Crystal Gems as individuals.

Weird Dream About Husk From Hazbin Hotel (He Was Being Weird...)

[Note: Mature Audience Readers Only, for now I will have this be under "for everyone" but I might change it later. also reading this is optional so only read this if you want to but you don't have to read this if you don't want to. also besides this going to talk about the weird dream I had about Husk, this will also talk about how Megatron was carrying or like went through the budding in TFA...]

ya know how weird dreams can be when they make no sense at all, also before I start on this talk about that weird dream...

there were reasons as to why I didn't sign back on Monday or Tuesday on September, and some of it isn't just because of the not so great feelings, there were other reason...

but I was able to write one of the Crossover fan fics...

like that one that has to do with Sari Sumdac at the human age of 23 but also the cybertronian age of 23 hundred...it might be a bit confusing.

but anyway the weird dream I had about Husk, was really weird and possibly out of character for him.

and I'm pretty sure he might of been drunk in that dream, cause no way he would willing say what he said in that dream.

the weird dream happen around October 5, 2023...

Husk for some reason placed his head on one of my shoulders and told me I smelled good....so it is possible he wasn't in his right mind, so why would he tell a Defective Earth Angel who's blood type is O RH D Negative that she smelled good.

and who is the same Defective Earth Angel who had found out that weird stuff happens with the modern radio at times when they either pick it up or just have their fingers pointing at it......which once again, luckily doesn't happen much but only once in a while, I can check to see if it acts weird once in a while but it might depend on the signal...

but yeah, the dream was weird and for me having weird and random dreams are normal for me.

oh yeah, and Alastor was in the dream as well, I think I wanted to tell him about Husk being weird, but it didn't turn out that way.

I know that Alastor said he didn't like me, which I think I told him in a sassy way that I didn't care.

for all I know, Husk in that dream might of mistook me for Angel Dust, and I guess it could be possible in that dream I was in the form of Angel Dust but was still me.....would also explain why Alastor said he didn't like me, of course we don't know if he would truly dislike Angel in canon.

my favorite fanon Crossover OTP ship will of course be Blitzhusk, which is Husk from Hazbin Hotel and Blitzwing from Transformers Animated.

I think I want to ship Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe, with either Bulkhead from Transformers Animated or Waspinator from the same show...

both Lapis and Bulkhead might get along because of their love for art.

but their ship might end up being more of a "I bud it" meaning it will be friend zone.

the reason why I would OTP ship Lapis and Waspinator, because they have a bit more in common even if their bad experiences are still different.

they were both wrongfully trapped for many years and cycles.

and they were both hurt by both the Crystal Gems, Homeworld, Autobots and Decepticons.

the ship name of Lapis Lazuli x Waspinator would probably need work.

Lazulinator is just one idea, and there is WaspLazuli.

if those two fused, their ship name could also be the name of their fusion.

also I have a new favorite parody phrase....

"Decepticons Have Their Fun, But Crystal Gems Do It Better."

and yes it references the song "Brunettes Do It Better" by KIDFORCE.

if one could troll Megatron with a crossover music video, with the Decepticons being the blondes and the Crystal Gems being the Brunettes......that would be interesting, and it be funny to watch Megatron's reaction, along with other Decepticons and Autobots who watch it.

it does make sense that Megatron from TFA is Sari's Carrier-Sire.

just like how it makes sense that Optimus from the Shattered Glass version of it, is the Carrier-Sire of the Sari of that universe and timeline.

also I have learned about the whole sparked-up word, which seems to be a counterpart of the word knocked-up.

so yeah my fan theory is that Optimus had accidentally sparked-up Megatron when they were fighting and it being help along thanks to the Allspark, or the Allmatrix as I'm gonna call it...

for all we know the Allspark in that show, might not of been the real Allspark, but was still infused with some of it's power.

would explain that key and it bringing Megatron out of that stasis coma, and possibly being the reason why Sari in her upgrade form, had no control...that key has been chaotic neutral this whole time. O_O

I still think it is possible Megatron wasn't really dead when he was still in Sumdac's lab, but he would of been if the limit was up that had to do with how long his head and body can stay separated.

the time limit could be 50 to 51 stellar-cycles, so if Sari hadn't been born, and didn't end up with the key....during either the 50th stellar cycle in that lab, and in a stasis-coma, it would end up having Megatron going offline in his stasis-coma.

yeah as weird as it might seem, I think it could be possible that Megatron was either going to budding stage or he was carrying, and if he was carrying, the sparkling/hatchling possibly moved from his spark chamber and end up pulling a Athena.

so Megatron would be Zeus, and Sari would be Athena.

he is still long overdue for that Hatchling Shower.

picture if Alastor was told about that dark secret that Megatron isn't aware of, he might enjoy seeing the look on Megatron's face.

like picture him having a cake and gifts and everything, and having "It's A Girl & Techno-Organic!" on a banner.

Alastor congratulating Megatron on the birth of his daughter, could confuse the leader of the Decepticons.

and well if others can come to the whole fan headcanon theory about Megatron pulling a Zeus and him giving birth to Sari and Sari herself being like a Athena....

then some fans can believe that Optimus Prime is the Other Sire, just not the Carrier, well unless we are talking about TFA Shattered Glass Optimus....

for a Womech (a new way to call a Female Transformer who is also called a Femme...) I think they should be called Carers.

if a hatchling/sparkling has two Womechs as parents/creators, it would make sense if they are called Carers, but one of them would be the Carrier-Carer....

Sari could call Megatron, Dad-2....like how Twitch calls Wheeljack by the title Dad-2.

and if in Earthspark, Wheeljack and Ratchet made the Dinobots.

that would possibly mean that if Twitch ever found this out, she might start calling Grimlock and even viewing him as "big brother."

well Wheeljack had sons, now he has a daughter.

he isn't the only Mech who has a daughter that was born on Earth and is technically a Terran.

Sari may have started out as 100% Cybertronian, but she was technically born on Earth, and she had become half-human thanks to human DNA, plus it would mean she wouldn't just have the metal from her cybertronian half but also her human half as well.

because it turns out humans do have some form of metal in their bodies.

it's called Magnesium.....and for all we know the Cybertronians could be made up of some percent of Magnesium or something that is kind of like it.

so anyway, Sari is a Terran by not just her being made up of human elements but also because she was born on Earth.

so while she might have the same metal as any other Cybertronian, she may also have the Magnesium that is thanks to her human half.

anyway we know that some fans do OTP ship Megatron and Optimus together, so it being possible that Sari is both of their own daughter.

could be a surprise to some fans and who knows how it will make the OTP shippers feel.

those two might act like a old married couple already in Earthspark.

Optimus is still a bit of a Himbo Prime, well not everyone has to agree about that but that is how I had viewed him in Earthspark.

Soundwave from Earthspark, he still looks like he has Mom-Hips...

I still want to view Soundwave from TFA as being more of a Soundwave Jr., and Megatron based him off of a Soundwave he knew that could look like Soundwave from Transformers Prime but in TFA form.....which makes me view Megatron as a Simp.

so we could call Soundwave Sr. by his other name, Soundblaster if he and Soundwave Jr. (that Megatron created) are in the same room.

Soundwave Sr. can go by "Soundblaster" while the younger Soundwave Jr. can still be called Soundwave.

I wouldn't be surprised if Starscream called Megatron a Simp.

because he based Soundwave Jr. off of Soundwave Sr...

also technically, Soundwave Jr. and Sari share the same birthday.

and I'm still gonna view those two as siblings, and Sari being the big sister who regrets how she treated him before but becomes a very dangerously protective big sister if anyone dares to harm or try to make unwanted advances on her baby brother.

I don't care, I sib it.

once again when it comes to the different type of ships, there are some that you don't use the word "ship" in it because it will give the wrong idea.

for romantic ships, you use "I ship it"

but for platonic friendships and family, it is "I fam it" and even "I bud it"...

for Sari & Her Autobot friends who are like family, it would be "I fam it."

Shockwave from TFA being like a adoptive sire to Soundwave Jr. (or like better known as just Soundwave in TFA.)

would be the "I fam it."

Blitzwing and Husk being a Crossover ship....

would be a "I ship it."

I still want to ship Amethyst x Alastor, I'm weird for wanting to ship those two, they cannot be any more opposite. XD

well besides Amethyst being a Crystal Gem and Alastor being the Radio Demon.

I still feel like punching Samael.....he probably knows why I want to punch him but he knows I can't....I would probably hiss at him like a cat, or maybe like Husk if anyone tries to take away his booze.

I think it could be possible if someone tries to take his booze way from him, he might hiss...

and well besides wanting to punch him, even if I know it isn't possible...is it weird to have thoughts of wanting to flip him the double bird....?

even if it turns out he is Cain's Bio-Dad, he ain't the fraging boss of me....even if Cain (along with Seth) is my Ancestor.

I want to go live with Omni-Mom/Earthly Mother Goddess.

yeah me being weird when the weirdness causes me to have the very strange and weird thoughts of referring the Heavenly Father & Earthly Mother as "Omni-Dad and Omni-Mom"....

I was born weird, I might of been a accident (well not by my human parents choice to have me.) but it doesn't mean Archangel Samael is the boss of me.

I still want to give Lucifer the cold hands to face punishment, if he had waited until the balance between the Feminine and Masculine energies were fixed properly...

not saying he should of still done that rebellion thing, only he picked the worse slagging time to do that...

even if not everyone has to agree about it...

I'm still not a big fan of Toxic-Religious people, and there are some lines that can be crossed when a Toxic-Religious person becomes a Toxic Hazardous type....

it can be when the Toxic-Religious person becomes far worse than they were before.

anyway it is possible that Megatron was carrying in TFA, and the sparkling that was starting to grow, had moved from Megatron's spark chamber to his head....

thus, making Megatron the Zeus and Sari the Athena.

and it could be possible that Optimus is the Other Sire, and the "Allspark" had shot a light at the two in the middle when they were fighting on the ship, and caused a small part of Optimus's spark, a fragment to be transferred to Megatron.

so Sari's spark is made up of a fusion of fragment of those two's sparks.....which I guess I may have spoiled one of the chapters of my fan fics by saying that, but I'm pretty sure I already posted that chapter.

maybe Bumblebee was foreshadowing when he said Megatron eats protoforms, only I don't think that is true but it could still act as a foreshadowing from Sari being born from Megatron.

like how Athena from born from Zeus, so was Sari born the same way from Megatron. XD

I guess I never thought about it like that before until now.

anyway, I don't know if I have much to say about that weird dream.

it was just weird, and I guess interesting.

well at least it was different from that one dream I had about seeing Alastor and behind him was a Red Moon.

well at least we didn't end up like Star and Marco from SVTFOE.

still love the show, even though I don't agree about the scapegoating the magic for the mistakes that Star's Family had done, you know since Star and her Mom and their side of the family were the ones that misused it....well them and Solaria, who might turn out to be Star's distant aunt if it turns out Star and her side of the family are descendants of Solaria's older brother.

if Husk and Blitzwing dance during that Red Moon, and the lights hit them....it would bond their spark and soul.

I think it could be possible that humans might have sparks, but they are also called souls.

so we could view that Husk does have a spark, and like most former humans, who become sinner demons....they had magnesium in them.

so for all we know, in Transformers.....Humans, are descendants of Cybertronians that came to Earth....during the age which the Watcher Angels were suppose to have fallen for the Human Women and ended up having kids with them.

I'm going to view that as fan headcanon, that humans in Transformers are descendants of Cybertronians that ended up on Earth and even stayed there...

I'm weird and sometimes fan headcanons and theories will be weird.

weird idea that is coming to mind, is Husk being the descendant of Tigatron and Airazor, or like it turning out Husk is like Sari...

that Husk was born from Tigatron & Airazor's fusion form Tigerhawk, which once again makes them the first fusion relationship before Garnet of Steven Universe.

and while Tigerhawk was on Earth, they had ended up having a sparkling, and it was either Tigatron or Airazor who was carrying, and when they were in their fused form that is known as Tigerhawk...

their fusion form Tigerhawk ended up having the sparkling, that looks like how Sari look when she was a baby protoform.

the said sparkling of Tigerhawk, would then be found by a human couple, and one of them or both ends up touching the liquid metal body that was the size of a human baby...

one of them or both would touch it at the same time, get a shock and be out cold for a while before waking up to see the liquid metal body is replace by a human baby, which would later become Husk and end up meeting Alastor.

even if that idea is Fanon and Crossover type Fanon, the idea is just interesting to me.

I might add it in the story I'm writing that has to do with Sari.

I already am shipping Solus with Megatron's Mentor, which means Megatron has Two Moms.

I kind of want to view Solus as Megatron's Carrier...

which means that Megatronus Sr. is the Sire and Solus's Ex, while Megatron's Mentor is Solus's new Junxie.

Megatron has two Womechs as his Carers, and Megatronus Sr. isn't allowed to see his son.

and even if it is in a Crossover Fanon Timeline, Husk being the son of Tigatron and Airazor.

Tigatron, being like a cat, and Airazor being like a bird....

and Husk is a Anthropomorphic Cat with Wings, so of course I'm going to have the weird idea that in a Fanon Timeline he is Tigatron and Airazor's son.

well if a human couple found Husk's protoform self, and he got his DNA from them.....that means Husk has four parents.

even if they might not appear in the story where Blitzhusk started,

but if Tigatron and Airazor ended up in Sinner forms, Tigatron would be a Anthropomorphic Tiger and Airazor would be a Anthropomorphic Falcon or Hawk.

like they could willingly leave the well of all sparks, so they can go find and be at the same place as their son, who became half-human when a human couple found him when he was just born on Earth.

picture Airazor being so happy to see Husk that she hugs him to her chest, which might confuse Blitzwing, Angel and Alastor.

and Tigatron, her Junxie would have to tell her to let him go and stop treating him like a hatchling. XD

I think that weird crossover idea about Husk being born techno-organic and having died and never finding out he is half-human and he technically has four parents...

well who knows how Alastor will process that, or what Angel would say about it...

that idea about Tigatron and Airazor being Husk's parents, might be weirder than that dream I had about Husk.

it be funny and interesting if Airazor and Tigatron gave Blitzwing their blessing to become Junxies with Husk.

I know that might be a weird and strange idea of Husk being Airazor & Tigatron's parents, but it isn't canon and it is fanon...

and well, I don't know if I really do have much to say about that weird dream I had about Husk, it was just weird.

but it was the okay type of weird, plus it could be possible he had mistaken me for someone else and he might of had too much to drink.

some times dreams make no sense, even that one where I saw Alastor and a Red Moon was behind him.

who knows how he would react if he found out Husk's parents are Alien Robots, well only two of them, while the other two are humans.

Sari might have to explain to Angel how that works, if Angel and Blitzwing are the first to find out about Husk having both Cybertronian Parents and Human Parents. XD

I know it is possibly not likely that will happen in the story by Blitzy-Blitzwing, that is called Becoming a Demon.

but I still like the weird idea about Husk being a techno-organic like Sari, and he started out like a baby sparkling like her before his human parents found him and he absorbed their DNA and transformed into a baby human.

anyway in the next post after this, I'm going to talk about a FNAF theory.

and I rather not talk about the stuff that made me feel not great, even if not everyone might understand it.

anyway maybe sometime I will do a ship drawing of WaspLazuli.

and sorry if I really don't have much to say about that weird dream I had about Husk.

if Megatron x Optimus Prime became canon in one of the Transformers Timeline, it might make some fans happy.

just like how some fans were happy about Fizz x Ozzie being canon.

I know I was happy and still am, that Fizz x Ozzie is canon.

Ozzie reminded me of the whole my talking about how my ethereal wings going into flame mode when I get really mad.

well apparently they are suppose to hug around me when I get upset or nervous, so there is that too...can't really see them though.

and there were some stuff that Ozzie said in that new episode, that reminded me of some stuff that I believe is going on.

like possibly being on some kind of spell, but the way he talks about how he doesn't do artificial love.....it is still freaky how that reminded me of that.....

one of the things I notice, is that Ozzie seems to be a beef-cake, like for all we know Charlie's Dad could be hiding muscles and a beef-cake body as well.

I can't be the only one who notice that, right...?

anyway we all have weird dreams, and well when it comes to scary dreams or the type of dreams where you end up dream-walking because of the toxic-lust energy of someone else...

it's best to have a dream-catcher...

well, hope some like the crossover fanon idea about Husk being the son of Tigatron & Airazor...

I wish I could talk more about that weird dream about Husk, like what else that happen in it but I don't really remember much of it.

I think fusion is a really interesting idea, especially when it comes to Jack. He and MC seem to share some of their thoughts and feelings already.

I like Steven Universe’s exploration on the nature of fusion. It’s like a conversation between people in tune with each other, and it’s initiated by a dance that draws them together. That’s the vibe I got from the picture too, that Jack pulled Desmond into a dance that led to them fusing.

Whether the fusion would work or not would depend on the MC. I would have to say that given how they feel about Jack, regardless of the choices made, there would be a decent chance of successful fusion even with the most stubborn of sunshines. After all, they have strong feelings for him in any route, wondering what they would do without him.

However, strong feelings aren’t necessarily enough if we’re going by Steven Universe fusion rules (minus the gems). After all, Steven loved all the Crystal Gems but struggled to learn how to fuse with each of them at first. Judging by his first fusion, it seems like only when people are relaxed and open to letting the other in that fusion happens. In a sense, they are emotionally meeting the other person in the middle, I think.

Of course, I could be misremembering the specifics of Steven Universe fusion canon, since it’s been a while since I watched the show. Either way this is a Something’s Wrong with Sunny Day Jack alternate universe, so the rules of Steven Universe don’t really apply unless we want them to, and even then we don’t have to use all of them.

So for the sake of this fusion AU, let’s go with the idea that all parties involved need to be willing to let the other into their heart/mind/etc. Jack and MC have already partially done this with the mind/emotion reading of their bond, and the sex scene does have heavy implications of MC letting Jack in and trusting him.

All that said, this would suggest that Jack could coax even a “no” route MC into opening up enough to him for fusion to happen. It might be a more reluctant fusion similar to what happened with Lapis and Jasper, where they clung together and it would become something unhealthy...

There’s also Jack’s powers to consider and how they might affect fusion, plus the incident where MC blacked out and woke up wearing his jacket that created the theory that he possessed them. Heck, fusion could be something technically a part of his possession powers.

As I recall, there was a theory a while back among the fans that Jack’s ultimate goal was to possess MC and be one with them, which would be sort of like fusion. If I remember correctly, I think Sauce debunked that theory. Still, we’re talking fusion, not possession here, which means there would be differences. For example, MC might not be conscious when Jack possesses them, which means that he wouldn’t be able to bask in his sunshine’s happy light. That would definitely be a reason for him to not want that...

Sorry, I’m starting to get off track. This is what happens when I’m idea crafting sometimes - I’ll examine details and consider connections and parallels, rambling off my thoughts. This is why these are called “headcanon ramblings” after all.

Anyway, let’s get back on topic. I can see Jack’s feelings on fusion being different depending on the MC’s feelings towards him.

With an MC who is choosing to let him in with only gentle prompting, it would be a joyous event. MC at times thinks they want to be less than an atom away from Jack, and in this situation they are blended together, unable to be any closer. Sure, MC might have worries about how much they’re opening up to someone so much after Ian hurt them so badly, but Jack would be right there to reassure any doubts. This is a conversation, an experience. This is love.

MC doesn’t want to be hurt again and worries something is too good even as they crave it, and Jack, ever reassuring, would encourage them, reward them for taking this step with him. It would be a triumph, a celebration of how far they’ve come together and how far MC has come in their healing. It’s a true expression of how courageous they are to let him in even though they were hurt so badly before.

With an MC who is more resistant, like the “no” route, it would be less joyful and more desperate on Jack’s end. Surely if they fuse, MC will better feel how much he loves them. Surely they’ll understand him that way. He’ll coax them into it, entice them into letting him in, so afraid of being rejected, doing everything in his power to make them choose to open up to him.

Once the fusion happens, Jack would feel relieved and reward MC for trusting him. Pleasurable feelings, love, everything. Make them feel so good that they’ll never want to unfuse. They can never leave him, never forget him, if they’re always fused, always together, always wanting to be together.

In a “yes” route, Jack would be able to more easily accept unfusing. Not to say that he will refuse to unfuse in a “no” route, but the atmosphere is different for both. A “no” route has a more desperate Jack, trying so hard to give MC everything so that they love him. Sadly for him in a “no” route, I imagine it would be a lot easier to accidentally unfuse, which would only make him feel more insecure.

In the “yes” route, Jack’s fears are more alleviated. He’s even surprised by how much they trust him, how much they want to be with him. Really, it’s not just MC who is able to trust Jack more in the “yes” route. Jack would be able to trust MC more in that route. Like how MC relaxes and lets Jack in, he can relax and not cling so desperately, since he can trust they won’t let go of him if he loosens his hold. He can be a little less tense, a little more secure. He can focus more on enjoying the experience they’re sharing, how much they love each other and make each other feel so good.

Yeeeahhh fusion is a lot like sex now that I’m thinking about it. I’d rather not consider those implications when it comes to Steven Universe, so let’s not go there and stick with this metaphor in the Adults Only series.

Anyway, with fusion being like sex, it’s the tone of the consent that makes the difference. When in a “yes” route, it’s enthusiastic consent. In a “no” route, it’s far more reluctant, but MC is still choosing to do it. Jack can relax when MC is being enthusiastic, just focus on both of them enjoying the moment. When MC is reluctant, Jack has reason to worry considering his existence hinges on whether MC wants them there or not. Fusion, like sex, would be another card to play to try and convince MC into needing him to stay with them forever.

Interestingly, with this sex metaphor, I can see Jack wanting to fuse often in either route. With the “yes” route, it would be just because it feels wonderful and he can really feel MC’s love. In the “no” route it’s the closest he feels to them and he’s so desperate to get closer and not have to fear losing them...

I may be circling back around on this point a bit too much. Sorry about that.

Anyway, I think their time fused together would be a very joyful experience. A rush of energy, the feeling of being so close to someone who understands them so much more than anyone else... MC was hurting and exposing themselves so much, and Jack will make sure to make sure it feels so good. He’ll reward them with good feelings for letting him in.

The exact nature of who they become when fused, of course, depends on the MC. Beyond the yes/no choice, there’s personality and physical traits to consider. Fusion wouldn’t automatically mean reading everything in each other’s mind, but it would offer a deeper understanding. Everyone is different, which is why all the fusions in Steven Universe, even between similar gems, could vary wildly.

I won’t contemplate every single fusion possibility, but I will muse about what would happen if my personal version of the MC, Alice, and Jack fused.

First of all, the resulting fusion would be they/them similar to Stevonnie.

Hmm... could their names sound good fused the same way? Alick? Jalice? Aliack? Jaclice? Ajalick?

Let’s go with Jalice until I come up with something better. It’s the most coherent sounding of all the options.

Even fused, Jack would cling to his identity as Jack, but some of Joseph would leak through, I’d wager. This results in a new tattoo on Jalice, a heart in the middle of a pair of flaming angel wings surrounded by rose thorns that spans across their back to their arms and collar bone.

Their hair would be a transition of colors, mostly almost white, but transitioning to blue at the tips, with some dark roots. It would be fluffier and more curled than Jack’s hair, but straighter than Alice’s. Their eyes would be a color between blue and brown, brighter than Jack’s eyes, but darker than Alice’s.

Cake would be in abundance. You thought Jack had nice hips? Jalice has cake for days, and a nice sized chest to go with it. Some nice muscle tone with a lot of soft huggable squish to them.

Oh, given that Alice wears a hoodie, the outfit Jalice might wind up wearing would probably be similar to another drawing by Okami. Specifically the Jack-inspired hoodie. Though I think it might have a bit more detail to reflect the specifics of Jack’s flashy outfit blending in with Alice’s more modest clothing.

There would be face paint of course, a slightly different pattern than Jack’s regular paint.. Maybe it would have more of a swirl to it in places. It might even be on the forehead as well because of Alice’s scar affecting things. I’d have to brainstorm how exactly, though it would be affected by the fusion

I should really try to draw Jalice sometime. Something to add to the old “to do” list, I suppose.

I can see fusion between Alice and Jack being a wonderful experience. Alice was so scared to trust and be so intimate with Jack. If in this universe fusion is something any human can experience, then she would have been burned by fusion due to Ian. If this is a Jack-exclusive power, it would be a scary, intimidating prospect, one that would take a while for him to coax her into giving a try.

Jack would never hurt Alice, and it will be so fun! If she doesn’t like it, they can unfuse right away and not do it again, he promises.

They dance together and at first it’s a bit awkward, Alice being so hesitant and uncertain, but trusting Jack. He makes silly jokes to get her to stop overthinking it and they wind up bantering and laughing together, which leads into them both relaxing enough for fusion to happen.

The first thing Jalice does is give themselves a hug. Oh, it feels so good, so secure. They’re closer than ever this way! They both feel more confident, more reassured Jack wants to go out and do things like this, and Alice agrees to it, knowing no one will recognize them. They’re a new person now as Jalice. They should make the most of it, and they’re not alone!

Going to the park, the museum, and other places feels so different as Jalice. Roller skating, movies, the arcade... The world is their oyster!

As Jalice, Jack can experience people actually looking at him. He’s confident, enjoys being looked at. Alice is more insecure, and he helps her be okay with it. They’re Jalice now, not Alice or Jack. He’s right here with her and they can handle anything, even dealing with people.

It’s a little awkward at first, getting used to it, but soon they’re having fun interacting with others... but not getting too close of course.

If someone flirts with Jalice, that’s a big no from them. Neither Jack nor Alice want that, so Jalice turns them down, saying they’re taken. After all, they’re in a relationship. They are a relationship.

It’s unlikely someone would push too hard to flirt with Jalice, but if they did, well, words can be a strong weapon.

Guns can also be a strong weapon. Alice has a gun for self-defense, and I can imagine it becomes quite flashy in their fusion thanks to Jack’s influence... and a bit disturbing as well to look at given the way he died.

They can’t be fused all the time, as Alice needs to work her job, but Jack suggests, well, what if they get a new job as Jalice? They feel so much more confident that way, and they’re not alone. They could act and unfuse to escape any unwanted added attention as they like. It would be like their own secret identity, so they can have a nice private life and enjoy the rush of being seen and remembered by so many people.

It also allows them to be fused most of the time. Not even Jack wants to be fused all the time. After all, it might be a nice metaphor for sex, but it’s no substitute for it, and he wants to be able to make love to his sunshine as often as possible. He wants to be able to hear Alice moan his name and cling to him tight as he drives himself so deep inside her warmth.

Not to say that Jalice wouldn’t be able to enjoy their new body in a more carnal way. It’s just more intimate if they can look into each other’s eyes and be held as they make love.

Which gives me a funny image of someone overhearing noises coming from Jalice’s dressing room and not recognizing the different voice. Yet only Jalice goes in and out of the room and their voice is different from the one the person heard. Mysterious...

Overall, the time fused would be quite a pleasant experience, one that the two of them would be reluctant to unfuse from. If they’re not careful, it might become an addicting habit. It’s so much easier to be together instead of apart, and they never have to feel alone. They can spend their time together just enjoying each other’s love, forever.

Witches, Doppels, and Overblot.

(Note: I'm very familiar with PMMM mainline, but I've only seen the anime for Magia Record and I just finished Book 4 for Twisted Wonderland. I may get some stuff wrong.)

Imagine, life's been rough lately. Nothing has been going your way and it's starting to wear you down. On the brighter side, you have magic, but it's not helping you. In fact, you just feel worse and worse until you snap.

If you're a magical girl from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Congrats, you're a witch, and your soul is forever doomed. Unless you're in the Magia Record timeline in which case you'll use your doppel.

If you're a mage in Twisted Wonderland, then you'll go into Overblot.

The best-case scenario is to use your Doppel. Doppels seem to go away by themselves and there seem to be little downsides. The only downside is that repeated use can lead to Doppel Syndrome where you fuse with your Doppel, but that's reversible and an anime-only thing. You'll mess stuff up, but that's going to happen with the other two options anyway.

Overblotting is rough. When someone overblots a countdown effectively starts till the overblot drains the user of their magic killing them. People who die of overblot leave behind a phantom that will continue to cause problems till they are killed. The only way to save someone from overblot is to fight and defeat them before they are killed. Good luck with that though, Overblot fights are hard as hell.

On a better note, Overblot might be the easiest of these conditions to prevent. Magical girls need to fight witches (which uses magic) to collect Grief Seeds and that's the only way to purify their Soul Gems and prevent Doppels/Witchification. Mages just need to rest and not use magic and their Mage Stones will clear up naturally.

Which brings us to Witches. If someone turns into a Witch, they're screwed. Coming back from witchification requires an act of God. Which makes sense, you're not supposed to come back from witchification. I will say that in a PMMM (Puella Tart) spinoff, there is a character who was a witch but managed to revert back into a magical girl. Although I'd rather describe her as a witch in the form of a magical girl.

Now, what's the point of all of this you ask. Simple...

Give me my Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Twisted Wonderland crossover you cowards.

Submas Gem AU: Ingo Deets

This was inspired by a reblog from @sningo-prompts time to go more in-depth about How Arceus did the Thing and what Ingo can do now!!

(By the way, you can totally just go full submas on your blog if you want to! Just add to your Bio or Header that you’re mostly sningo stuff, but the rest of submas is still on the table to chatter about.)

First off: Arceus making Gems (specifically turning Ingo into one)

Just to clarify, Ingo is a Gem Hybrid and not a “Pure” Gem. He’s still part human, with all the important physical stuff that goes with that. (Like eating, sleeping, breathing, etc. Not totally dependent on light for health/strength)

BUT, with the way Arceus did it, Ingo also has a lot of abilities that “pure” gems would have as well. Like poofing! (Yes, he can poof btw. I can explain it in a sec.)

The only thing I can think of to compare how Arceus did that is computer programing, so that’s how I’m going to line it out.

Funnily enough, there are numerous Pokémon that (individually) have abilities like gems, so Arceus already has the coding to make them.

A Pokémon who’s “heart” is an object- Magearna (not made by Acreus himself, but still counts in my mind)

Pokémon who have Object Dormant forms- Reshiram and Zekrom (the Light Stone and Dark Stones in the games)

A (human) spirit/being tied to an object that wasn’t originally part of them- Spiritomb

Getting energy/power boosts from sunlight- Espeon, any Pokémon with the chlorophyl ability

Injuries/Unconsciousness triggering a defensive ability to heal/protect themselves- The whole Pokémon shrinking down thing that kicks in when they’re defeated/captured

Physical Yet Malleable body that allowed for limited shape-shifting- Ditto, Mew (in the movies/shows), Zorua/Zoroark illusions

(probably toned down compared to Ditto and Mew, but much more solid than the illusions)

All he had to do was tweak the gem to act as the “safe” spot and then plug all those codes all into Ingo!

BOOM! GEM HYBRID!

New Gems and/or More Gems

At this time in my au ideas, Ingo is the only Gem. Not because I think Arceus wouldn’t have made more, but because I’m not sure who else he would have turned/made into them.

As for new gems/Emmet being one, I’d say that (just for Ingo) Arceus plugged the ability to make a (limited number) new gems himself!

My main thought for How was that it was done through fusion (which was the one new code that had to be made in pokeverse).

Basically, if Ingo is close enough to potentially fuse with someone then if they do, there’s a possibility that when they separate the other person will have become a gem too. The exact criteria needed for that are something I’m still debating, but I know that it will happen to Emmet. Not after the first fusion, but it is basically built in to happen eventually.

Currently, there is no change back plan. Although, I guess it could be done if Arceus was hunted down and brought into the issue.

At the moment, once the code is changed, there isn’t anyway to take it out. Not without help.

Gem Injuries: How do they heal?

This one I’ve actually been thinking about a bit, mostly because I realized that was something I didn’t have an answer for when I talked about Mirror Gem Ingo having a crack. So, I had to think.

My first thought is that there’s some kind of solution out there for mending/healing living rock.

There are plenty of rock types and Pokémon with gem/crystal-like growths on their bodies. And those Pokémon are bound to have gotten hurt/injured at some point and needed to heal/recover. Logically, that means there has to be some kind of medicine out there to heal that kind of damage.

So, I would say Ingo/Emmet would first try to use that to heal and injuries to Ingo’s gem. Normally, this stuff probably wouldn't work on a gemstone, but Ingo’s gem counts as a Living Stone so it would be effective.

It’s probably a multi-part process with a very liquidy starting medicine to get the fine cracks deep in the stone; then with thicker, less fluid layers put on top to help with the outer damage. (Then a couple layers of bandages and stuff stuff on top to hold all those in as they worked their magic.)

That covers some of the major points, but I’ll stop here for now. (Time to work on the asks I have next!)

(also can you tell me more about your pearl/Jasper ship? I really love the concept of them bonding due to their emotionally traumatic experiences).

Ah thank you! Pearl skins is supposed to be a desaturated teal, as I based her more on a peacock pearl, which I thought suited her personality haha, as she's pretty dramatic and theatrical xD

Oh yeah, this is a bit of an AU/Heavy Headcanon post, with the main idea of Jasper and Pearl knowing each other very early on xD

Ive definitely thought way too much about Jasper and Pearl getting to be parallels, devoted soldiers completely enamoured with their diamond. Definitely some heated rivalry, though maybe Jasper is the first to pick up on Pearls desires to pick up sword fighting to protect her diamond. Pearl maybe admitting she does want the skills to protect her diamond, and Jasper kinda bitterly saying that's her job.

Because my idea is that both want what the other has, Pearl wants to be strong enough to protect Pink, and be treated more that just a delicate accessory. And Jasper... maybe wouldn't mind being treated as something a little more delicate...

Jasper decides to humour her and and teach her a little combat. Under the guise of telling herself, seeing as Pearl is always by Pink's side, maybe it's a good thing if Pearl's capable of a little defensive combat.

Tho at this point I imagine Pearl and Jasper are definitely becoming closer in a "I hate you, but we're both so devoted to the same person that the feelings are crossing over!?! for each other?!" bonding over a common goal.

Especially since both have admitted their feelings are wanting more that just what they were created for, and obviously that's a big no-no in gem culture. So as much as they hate each other they both have someone who knows how they feel.

Maybe... after a particularly heated combat session... there’s a moment where they nearly fuse. Both are pretty shocked about it, and definitely worried in case anyone saw. But convince themselves that it was nothing more than a heat of the moment rush, that it was bound to happen at some point, since fusion is used for battle after all.

Pearl still has one up on Jasper tho, as she's left in the dark about Pink's moonlighting as Rose. And I can't help but feel Pearl would be super smug about it.

Although after "Rose" eventually shatters Pink. This would definitely come to bite her in the ass pretty hard when Japer returns to earth, to see the Pearl she taught to fight and essentially help in Pink Diamond’s “demise”, the gem they were both was so intent on protecting. I imagine jasper's feelings of betrayal would be pretty immense and that would be one of the key feelings of her developing an obsession of taking Rose down at any cost (and of course, sacrificing her own wellbeing in the name of revenge.) I feel like this could could lead to some pretty fun battles, confrontations between the two, that old rivalry heating up again, when Pearl is fighting with new, maybe even dirty techniques, and Jasper commenting how she doesn't remember teaching Pearl those moves.

I still imagine this all ends in Jasper's corruption, but maybe Pearl is there to witness it too, maybe it's a little more devastating since Pearl is still unable to tell the truth, torn between her last promise to Rose... and her "Rival" whose last thoughts about Pearl are only of anger and pain.

Anyway I am super sorry this turned into like, an ESSAY but I have many thoughts. I dunno I just, I felt like having Pearl and Jasper know each other would have been a fun exploration of relationships again, and could have even added something to the Lapis and Jasper dynamic too. We know it was Lapis taking out her hurt on Jasper, maybe Jasper let it happen, as a punishment for what happened to Pink.

Very well written fic set in the PIDW world but where cultivators can fuse like gems for advantage in battle. SY and SJ (brothers) fused for safety when they were sold to the Qiu and continued living that way even when they became a peak lord. Soooooo interesting and seeing SJ and SY so perfectly in sync is really fun. Especially love that SY, SJ and YQY can all form a perfect fusion while in battle and everyone else is like 👀 👀 👀 like YES GIMME THAT GOSSIP PLEASE

Bonus awkward YQY and LBH having an embarassingly massive crush on SY and having to suffer through SJ absolutely knowing all of this makes this perfect. 💖

Superhero AU with some transmigration flavour. SY and SJ are brothers. SY is constantly getting into deep shit and gets battered so SJ is constantly worried. He shows how much he cares in an extremely SJ way and it’s very sweet and also a bit sad tbh!! The writing for this is amazing and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the world building. 😊

Nothing Gold was Good Anyway by @alllula

This is probably the first ‘SY as SJ’s son’ fic I read. The entire starting sequence is so fun, SY and SJ just immediately vibe with each other. SY is a kid working part time as a laundry worker at the brothel that SQQ frequents. He looks just like SQQ so SQQ decides to freak out CQ and brings back SY and claims he’s his son. Antics ensue!! Not complete but definitely a fun read

there are lots of different variations of the SU x GF crossover so I wanted to share my own headcanons! (which apply to all of the comics I’ve made)

General:

It takes place post-SUF and post-GF (no Bill stuff, sorry guys lol)

Steven crosses paths with Stan and Ford while he was still on the east coast, sometime in the late winter/early spring

maybe they invite him onto their boat for a chat and some cocoa idk

Stan gave Steven his beanie (which is why I’ve been drawing Steven wearing a beanie)

They suggested he visit the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls whenever he’s in the area. Stan and Ford would there in the summer for Dipper and Mabel’s birthday, so they hopefully meet again if the timing was right (and it is)

By the late spring/early summer, Steven makes it to Gravity Falls

He initially only plans to stay for a couple days, but gets on well will Soos (and Melody!), and within a day or so the twins arrive, who convince him to work at the shack for the summer

Steven agrees, but leaves when the twins go back to school, since there’s only a small handful of people in Gravity Falls he can actually stand to be around (they’re all a bit to mean for his tastes)

Steven is suuuuper gullible, and can’t quite differentiate between the Mystery Shack gimmicks and the genuinely supernatural. Like I said on this comic, he doesn’t really have a reason to be skeptical of things that are out of the ordinary, and he’s excited by stuff that he knows isn’t caused by gem stuff.

Since Steven is staying in Gravity Falls on his birthday (August 15th), the gems would certainly come visit. They can’t stay for very long, though, since they’re pretty busy nowadays.

Stan and Ford don’t arrive until mid August, and head back to the Atlantic Ocean shortly after Dipper and Mabel’s birthday

There might still be a corrupted gem or two lurking in the woods, but overall there’s a pretty astonishing lack of gem-related activity. Steven finds himself out of his element (but he’s kind of digging it??)

Mabel learns that Steven has never been to school, and now with her first year’s experience of high school under her belt, convinces her friends, Dipper, and Wendy to let Steven pretend he’s a high school student for a day, and set up a fake classroom with fake homework and everything.

I usually roll my eyes at suspiciously perfect coincidences, like certain characters previously knowing each other or someone Steven knows just so happens to visit the Mystery Shack while he’s working there, but I do like the concept that Wendy or Robbie is familiar with Sadie’s music. Maybe Steven could let Sadie call them and do a mini-performance over the phone lol

Character dynamics:

Sometimes Steven will state unusual facts about himself so nonchalantly, no one can tell whether he’s fucking with them or not

Like most other iterations of this crossover, Dipper has taken a High interest in solving What’s Up With Steven, even though there’s nothing to solve.

Steven isn’t THAT open. He doesn’t share every little detail about himself, especially regarding his recent trauma. (I mean, it’s extremely personal, why would he yknow)

Dipper actually gets a little jealous of how well Steven and Mabel get along, even when they’re doing stuff he’s not into. Cause like, that’s his sister! >:0

pre-Future Steven would not have been very fond of Dipper, but post-Future Steven definitely is. He sees how much Dipper tries to take himself too seriously and act “grown up”, and it reminds Steven that he needs to be better about that too.

Ford can read gem glyph, to Steven’s delight

Stan has a HUGE soft spot for Steven, especially if he learns his story. He has a bit of overlap in the “faked my death and lived a huge portion of my life under a different identity” department.

Pearl would probably get along with Stan for the same reason

You’d might think Pearl would like Ford cause they’re both “intellectuals” or smth idk but she’d think he’s kind of stuffy and actually her favorite of the bunch would be Soos lol

Stan has also traveled to every state, so he makes sure to pass on to Steven his (frankly very bad) advice.

Steven tries to get along with Wendy’s friends, but quickly realizes how little he vibes with them

Waddles is big now! I can’t decide whether I like him better as a regular pig or a pot-bellied big. Even if he were a pot-bellied pig, after a year he’d be 100 pounds at least, and nearly the size of a large dog. But if he were a regular farm pig, he’d be a b e a s t

Steven wouldn’t fuse with anyone here. The only humans he’s ever fused with are Connie, who is his closest friend and girlfriend, and his dad. I just don’t see it happening.

I may or may not add more as I go. I probably won’t delve into every combination of every single crystal gem and every single Gravity Falls citizen, because 1) there’s too many to count and 2) most of those interactions are probably unlikely to happen anyway.

Dream SMP Fusion AU:

Certainly not me thinking about a Steven Universe AU for Dream SMP because fusions

Also, just to note: Not all fusions are for romantic relationships, so please no shipping since many of the creators are uncomfortable with that. The one somewhat romantic relationship fusion mentioned is between the characters Schlatt and Quackity, and are the only ones classified as such for the lore and story already created - I do not ship them whatsoever. Thank you.

So like, what if during the L’manburg Independence War L’manburg was the only ones who really fused with each other, and the Dream SMP just never really thought it was useful and therefore didn’t really use it all that much for battle, pvp, etc.

They discovered fusion one day while building the wall when a bit of debris was about to fall on Fundy and Wilbur swooped in to save him, and suddenly... a whole completely different person stood in their place. It didn’t last very long, but Wilbur from then on was determined to learn all he could about it and understand it.

Wilbur couldn’t seem to explain his findings much scientifically, but he wrote up a journal on all he learned - how the fusion seems to combine and showcase the best parts of each individual person.

An iconic Steven Universe Scene takes place (For you SU fans, when Smoky Quartz first came to be) when Tommy in a effort to get his discs back one day tries to take Dream head on, pushing away Tubbo’s help. Tommy gets throughly beat up by Dream and in a heartfelt moment Tommy tells Tubbo that no matter what he does Dream will always win against him because he’s not strong enough. Then, Tubbo says that that’s not true, that Tommy doesn’t have to be like Dream, if anything Tommy’s like him because they both aren’t like anybody else, and it sucks, but they have each other. Finally Tommy accepts Tubbo’s help as they fuse for the first time.

Eret and Niki fused once while hanging out and dancing one day, which led Wilbur to discover how to trigger the fusion in a more controlled manner - through dancing.

The war happens with the revolution holding better against Dream and his posse for the short fact that they had fusion on their side - they weren’t totally confident in the ability yet, which lead to some close calls to unfusing at the wrong time, but a few prominent fusions came out of it. In the end, they won and Wilbur continued to write his findings in the journal.

The election came about, and with it the exile of Wilbur and Tommy - this time the two were on the receiving end of fighting with fusions.

Wilbur even suggested on fusing together for survival - together they were more combat skilled, and better focused. After all, there was lesser chance of hurting one target than there was two. So, for a while they stayed together, at least, until Technoblade came to help.

Techno was very awkward at the whole fusion thing - it seemed stupid, and the poor pig hybrid didn’t exactly dance very well, though he was often too embarrassed to admit it. Techno didn’t understand how his two brothers could fuse so easily while he just... couldn’t. (I’m imagining Wilbur coaching him in Pogtopia while Tommy has to wear paint cans in order to each his height)

While out together, the sight of Tubbo causes Wilbur and Tommy to become so distressed they unfuse as Tubbo tells them he wants to help, and becomes their spy.

Back in Manburg, a certain goat hybrid finds Wilbur’s fusion journal and does some light reading. Schlatt thinks that he needs fusion soldiers to fight for him - from what he’s reading, these fusions are practically unstoppable. If he were to have that kind of power at his disposal, no one could stop him.

Being the ‘selfless’ leader he is, he uses himself as a test subject as he fuses with his militia - Punz, Ponk...

Quackity at first makes fun of his attempts as always within five minutes the fusion quickly falls apart. This only pisses of Schlatt more, until he comes up with an idea.

He confronts Fundy and tells him that if he was loyal to Manburg, and their desires aligned, they’d be able to fuse no problem. Fundy agrees and they become the first completed fusion in Manburg - Fundy only does it because he wants to keep suspicion low and his cover a secret, and it somehow works. Schlatt doesn’t question Fundy much after that.

As the festival gets planned Schlatt continues his tactic of sniffing out traitors through fusion, which does not bode well for Tubbo, who keeps narrowly escaping having to fuse (Looking at the ‘I’m pregnant’ excuse-).

Back in Pogtopia, tensions rise as Wilbur and Tommy become more and more distant as Wilbur plans to blow up Manburg during the festival.

Festival happens, not much really changes except Schlatt tries to get Niki to fuse with him to prove she wasn’t a traitor and not get killed like Tubbo - Wilbur overhears and intervenes, running away with Niki back to Pogtopia, fusing with her to help both of them escape.

When Quackity tries to leave, Schlatt forces him to fuse to stop the traitor from escaping, and for the first time, the two get trapped in a mixed up mess of a fusion - nothing is combined of the two, it’s all a mish mashed up mess - thankfully they aren’t fused for long and Quackity escapes, but both have the feeling of agony, sorrow and pain of the forced fusion in their minds.

They take back L’manburg with some awesome fusion v fusion fights.

In a last attempt to keep from dying, Schlatt forces Quackity to fuse with him again in exchange that he release Tubbo, who was on his last cannon life (Schlatt held up a knife to his throat.) Once again, Quackity is trapped down in the painful and dark abyss as their fusion makes mass destruction. Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, and Techno all fuse to take the unstable fusion down.

They succeed in doing so, fatally wounding Schlatt enough to corner him, the stress, drugs, and alcohol combing into a panic attack and he dies.

From there, things proceed as normal - Techno releases the Withers, Wilbur pushes the button.

New L’manburg is thriving with Tubbo as the new president... everyone can finally be who they want to be - wounds of course are still healing.

Quackity talks with Tubbo about his bad experience with Schlatt, and Tubbo is there to listen and always tells him that he doesn’t have to fuse if he doesn’t want to... of course fusion can be helpful (Some fusions have been helping repair the TNT and Wither damage) but, Tubbo insists, you don’t have to fuse to be able to help.

Ranboo gets a crash course in fusion basics by Phil and Ghostbur. (It’s like gem classroom, it’s all so cute guys-)

Phil also helps out Fundy who’s still iffy about Wilbur and all that he did for him... namely, fusing with Schlatt to avoid suspicion. It’s all wholesome and sweet, even with Ghostbur and his failed attempts to help in the background.

Things play out as normal in terms of plot - Techno retires, Tommy gets exiled...

Dream, at first, is very committed to blowing up Tommy’s stuff - one day, he says he won’t do it only if Tommy fuses with him, because he’s curious in how it works.

This turns straight up unhealthy during the Beach Party when Tommy remembers all the times he used to have and how he feels so lonely, and Dream tells him that he’s always gonna be there for him even if they don’t, which results in Tommy and Dream fusing for a while whenever he comes to visit so Tommy won’t feel as lonely or as depressed. Tommy becomes dependent on Dream and the fusing and clings to it to an unhealthy amount, though Tommy of course wouldn’t admit that.

Eventually, Dream blows up Logstedshire and leads to Tommy running away in a brief moment of clarity.

Phil gets under house arrest as the Butcher Gang try to take Techno down to kill him, but Phil, the ever to clever, gets there before they do and fuses with Techno to help take them down. They unfuse when Quackity threatens Techno’s horse, revealing that Phil snuck out. Techno covers for him and tells them that he broke Phil out, that it’s his fault and Phil had nothing to do with it. They believe him and Phil is in the clear.

The attempt fails, Techno finds Tommy and the two continue to practice fighting while fused - Tommy’s idea from his experience fighting with Wilbur - and they’re pretty strong. Ranboo and Ghostbur hang around and ooo and ahh over their moves.

Tubbo visits Tommy and as in cannon believes he’s dead but for a different reason - he finds evidence of when Tommy and Dream were playing around while fused and thinks that they’re permently fused - Dream forged a letter claiming that exact thing. Tubbo of course blames himself for losing his best friend.

Back in New L’manburg, the Butcher Gang gets fusion training too (except for Quackity) and Ranboo finally fuses for the first time with Fundy, the fusion turning into what a 12 year old would be like on redbull.

While on house arrest, Phil tries fusing with Ghostbur and to his surprise... it works - not for very long, but it works. They come to the conculsion that since Ghostbur is a ghost, that maybe it wasn’t two people fusing but instead a soul and a person, leading to the imbalance.

While Techno and Tommy are fused, they hold Connor captive and ask for ransom... leading Tubbo to be extremely confused when someone he doesn’t know is asking ransom from him who appearently knows him-?!

Only after they unfuse... Tubbo realizes that Tommy’s still... here. He’s still here and not in a fusion with Dream. Things go as in cannon.

Finally, after Dream figures out where Tommy is and tells Techno, any chance he gets with Tommy alone he tries to tell him that they could fix everything if they just fused again, and Tommy keeps finding himself refusing.

Anyway, what do ya’ll think? Should I do a follow up post for the fusions?

I socialized too much and I can’t draw now, so I’m gonna get my thoughts out by infodumping my au. It’s gonna be all over the place and full of different subjects cause I’m combining all the drafts I had together, but I’ll make it work.

To begin, I was thinking about abt what would happen if Steven met an off color, like a gem who emerged “wrong” and was in hiding, or a fusion in need of help.

And I totally think he would want to help them, but he’s a human with no power, so what does he do? Sneak them into his and Star’s room to ask the pink diamond for help.

I think it would be cute if Steven and Star secretly helped out off colors as much as they could, and when the CGs kept trying to convince him that Star wasn’t a good person and had been manipulating Steven, he’d be like “…mmmm you ever actually met him? Cause he’s like a (insert some sort of gem term version of saint)”.

(It also just occurred to me that Steven and Star are twins, and while Steven was born, it took Star a second to form, which means Steven is the older twin. I feel like that’s funny)

I’ve been thinking about Steven’s outfit and why he’s got the clown getup in the first place. Because Star would never dress baby Steeb that way cause he doesn’t want Steven to feel like his job is to entertain others. Although I don’t think Steven considers clowns or jesters as entertainers specifically, but moreso that their jobs are to make people happy.

And his first friend was Spinel, who’s purpose is to make other people happy and be their friend, and if Steven could be any gem he’d probably want to be a spinel. I think he wants all these things and dresses this way out of some unspoken guilt. He realized really young how much Star was sacrificing and suffering for Steven and how out of his control it all really was. I think of those kids who have parents who have financial problems, so they feel guilty and like a burden for having needs.

Anyways getting off track again, I think he dresses not like a clown but like a spinel because he wants to make Star and all the other hardworking gems happy, probably because he doesn’t think he’s good for anything else.

It’s kind of sad and of course part of it is just because he (and I) thinks clown outfit are cool and fun and colorful, but I wanted to explain that a bit cause Steven would only ever have that conversation with his future therapist lol

Also, I think the idea of Steven never being attracted to anyone ever until Connie is pretty funny. Like no doubt there was no education whatsoever regarding romantic relationships on Homeworld, sure he’s heard about gems who loved each other so much that they fused for seemingly no purpose, but he can’t fuse and he’s not a gem. And Star told him bits and pieces about the zoo (and maybe Rose) but that’s still not enough.

And then he meets Connie and for awhile he doesn’t realize it but he finds this other human so beautiful and cool and talented, he likes her hair and voice and probably thinks she deserves to be told that, while Connie who developed a crush on him first is trying not to die at constantly listening to Steven say things to her that sounds like blatant flirting even when she knows he probably doesn’t even get it.

I also think for awhile he would just be completely oblivious to his feelings, and then he gets to Earth and meets Garnet, and Greg tells him about his relationship with Rose, and he just sees a wide variety of human bonds and at some point it would just click.

I think once Steven and Connie come to terms with their feelings and confessed to each other, Connie would want Steven to seriously educate himself on human relationships and communication. Just because she doesn’t want him to walk into something he’s not entirely prepared for, and she’d want him to be sure he actually likes her too.

OHHH I just realized I never talk about what Star actually does in his time as a diamond!!

I always think it’s silly cause he inherited the pink diamond court from his mom, but the first pink diamond and him are two very different personalities, and he doesn’t actually care that much for what he does (probably bc his coded purpose isn’t to be the new pink diamond). Steven has fun with it tho.

Anyways, I always felt like Blue and Yellow Diamond were taking care of production, like I felt like they oversee things like gem kindergartens, colonizing planets, maybe designing new technology, etc,. While White Diamond would oversee gem laws, the identity of her amazing empire, basically just, making sure everything is a “perfect reflection of her”. She already colonized so many planets, I wonder if she stopped cause she used up all her essence… I’m getting off topic again nvm.

But Pink, the littlest diamond, definitely took care of culture and celebrations, like come on she used to throw balls for her diamond families’ accomplishments. And Star totally inherited that.

I also imagine his court would be considered a bit controversial compared to the other courts, which often times has him being set apart from the other diamonds even further… lots of older gems and the diamonds don’t have a lot of respect for him, I mean all gems under the diamonds treat him as a diamond, but he’s not oblivious to the very quiet rumors that are said about him.

And I mean, he doesn’t need nor want their respect, it certainly wouldn’t be mutual if he had it. He’s got the respect of his own court, and he cares for his gems too. Steven always comes first, but he does feel responsible for his gems. And I think a lot of his gems ended up embodying his views in some ways. Especially if he’s made gems.

Has he made gems with his own diamond essence? That is if he did assist Blue and Yellow with gem production for his court.. but do we know how long it takes to make a batch of gems? He’s only like, sixteen years old, and it’s gonna take way longer then that, if he had a human life span would he even live to see his gems? If not that’s kinda sad. But also the other diamonds might not even let him near gem production or colonizing planets. Not for a longggg time.

As for Star’s personal views, which I think I’ve mentioned a few times, is a bit in the grey area.

Ultimately, he is a prisoner on his own planet, an a lot of his choices and actions were because the diamonds were holding Steven’s life over his head. His morals and values, as well as other things, needs more time to build because he’s not actually that free to explore it all. I think after the empire is liberated, and he’s gotten a good amount of rest, he’d spend some time trying to figure out who he really is beyond Steven’s other half.

As I’ve said, Steven comes first. He was made for Steven, albeit it was an accident, but Star takes it very seriously and loves his kid very much. But he’ll do good when possible. Like I said at the beginning of this post, Steven sometimes brings off colors in need of help to Star. And he’ll do what he can to help. Healing a cracked gem, showing them to safer areas of the kindergarten, getting them off of Homeworld if he can, even pardoning gems in trial who did nothing wrong but would have been considered guilty.

A lot of those values come from Rose Quartz. After all, in a way, she became him. And part of her stuck with him. He feels horrible when he’s forced to hurt an innocent gem. He couldn’t care less if a gem actually did something wrong, though.

Well I had a lot of fun writing this, but it is a bit chaotic, so I hope it was cohesive enough.

CHAPTER 1: The Return

Steven’s whole world was spinning.

The sky had run green, the lighting reflected off of the massive ship in the sky. It looked like the upper torso of a person, but why it was green was a mystery. The ship itself looked white, actually. But, when it showed up, the gems freaked out anyway.

Lapis had sent them a message. In it, she was really freaked out, bringing the premonition that the Diamonds were leaving the planet and heading to Earth. Steven didn’t know who they were, but the gems had really... changed over the past two days or so they had to prepare. Whoever these “Diamonds” were, they sounded important.

When he saw the gems with his luggage, ready to help him evacuate with Dad, that was when he knew that things were serious. They had finally started letting him come on missions. He was becoming useful, and that meant being out on the field! But, if they thought he couldn’t handle this, then...

He shook his head. No. He was able to do this. He had to help them, protect them. Just like Mom.

Dad had told him that story in the car, about the gem war. The fact that they saved the world, but the punishment for it was, well, the corrupted gems. “If it wasn’t for her shield, man, I don’t know.” Those words bounced around in Steven’s head. Mom was the only reason Garnet and Pearl were okay. She saved them. And now, she wasn’t here. She was gone, and it was now his duty to save them.

He’d left a message to Connie letting her know what was going on. He hoped she stayed safe, too.

Lion opened a warp, and the two leaped in.

It only took a moment to warp to the beach house again. Lion landed hand on his paws, skidding a bit as he slowed. Steven leaped off his back as fast as he could, giving the furry animal a pat on the shoulder.

“Stay here, Lion,” he commanded his friend. “If something happens, Dad’ll need a new son.”

Lion chuffed at him as he turned and ran away. Steven hoped that was an “okay.” Dad had told him that if something happened, he’d “run fresh outta family.” Well, he and Lion got along well, so the replacement seemed good!

Not the time. Steven shook his head. Nothing was going to happen. He had Mom’s shield! He could do this!

The scene was tense. Amethyst and Pearl had fused into Opal, who now had her bow at the ready. Garnet stood nearby, adjusting her glasses every couple of seconds. Then, at Garnet’s command, Opal’s arrow let loose, shooting into the sky towards the ship. There was a flash of light as impact happened, and a few seconds later, a loud boom followed, but the ship looked completely unharmed.

“Hey guys!” Steven ran up to them, waving. If they were struggling, he could help them! Should be easy!

Opal and Garnet spun around, and at the sight of him, the former split apart. Pearl and Amethyst tumbled away from each other.

“You came back!” Amethyst cried in delight.

“What are you doing?!” Pearl’s expression was far more stricken.

Steven opened his mouth to answer, but a bright flash of light in the sky cut him off. The Crystal Gems all whipped around to look at the ship. It was still super far away, and the brightness was making it incredibly difficult to see. It looked like the light was starting at the chest of the ship, getting brighter and brighter.

“What is that?” Steven cocked his head to the side.

Garnet gasped. She turned around, ripping her visor off. “STEVEN! RUN!”

“Wha- WHY?” Steven yelled back. “I wanna help you guys! I have Mom’s-”

“You don’t understand!” Garnet’s head whipped back around to face the flash, which was growing in intensity. “Steven, don’t argue, just GO!”

“No!” Steven ran towards her, towards the oddly beautiful light. You could no longer see the ship behind it. He ran in front of the gems, standing defensively. “I have Mom’s shield! I can DO this!”

He concentrated. His gem didn’t feel any different, no warmth coming from it like what usually happened when his powers began to work. It was silent.

The light grew brighter, starting to pulse a bit. Flashes of yellow and blue traced the edges of the glow, rotating around like a hurricane.

“STEVEN!” Garnet jumped in front of him, meeting his two eyes with her three. She looked panicked, far more so than he’d ever seen her before. “Steven, PLEASE!”

Pearl and Amethyst ran up behind him. “We all have to get out of here!” Pearl yelled. “Garnet, it looks like-”

A loud whirring noise cut her off. Everyone turned to the light, assuming defensive positions. Steven’s eyes widened. It was suddenly coming closer, and FAST.

Please work, he begged with himself. He strained, standing up taller, trying to focus on getting his gem to work. He didn’t know what this attack was, or what it would do, but he didn’t wanna find out. Please work, please work, please work, please work.

“It’s too late to run,” Pearl murmured from his left. “We’re out of time.”

Suddenly, Steven felt hands around his torso. Garnet lifted him into the air, spinning around and crouching down so she was facing away from the beam, with her back exposed.

“Wait, Garnet! I can do it!” Steven struggled in her arms. “I can do it!”

“I’m sorry,” she whispered back, hushed. Steven almost didn’t hear her. He stopped trying to get away, instead trying to turn to look at her. Her three eyes were blown wide, tears starting to come down her cheek. “We failed.”

“Wh-”

Everything went bright.

Garnet vanished from behind Steven, seemingly into thin air. The only thing that marked her disappearance was a short scream, cut off prematurely. Pearl and Amethyst were the same, yelling out in shock and pain for only a second before their voices cut out completely.

With Garnet out of the way, Steven could see why. It BURNED. The light closed around him so brightly, he almost couldn’t see his own hands. It wrapped around him, closing in on his gem. It began to flare up in response, sending fire up his nerves. He was so focused on how much it hurt, that his own voice disappeared around him.

It lasted probably only a few seconds, but it was enough. His gem felt like it was an ignited coal, he had a massive headache, and his body was trembling too much for him to even think about moving anywhere.

He fell on his hands and knees, then collapsed onto his side. His world went from burning white to pitch black in an instant. He heard nothing, not even the waves hitting the shore. His head hurt, so badly, but after a moment, everything... stopped.

“Hey Connie, it’s Steven.”

Connie Sat on the edge of the counter, nervously watching for her mom to round the corner. If she got caught, she’d probably get yelled at. Her attention was more focused on the recording of her best friend’s voice, though.

“Just seeing what you were up to,” he continued. “Uh, dunno if you knew, but there’s some crazy stuff going on with a giant woman in the sky and we all might die, so um, I guess just give me a call back when you get this, and see you soon!”

What.

Connie leaped off the counter and reached for the phone as fast as she could. She dialed his number, forcing herself to slow down so she didn’t mistype it, and held her breath as his phone rang.

One ring, no answer. Then two. Then three. After the sixth, the call went to voicemail.

Connie shook her head. “No no no,” she said out loud. “No, that can’t be right. H-he’s gotta be exaggerating, right?”

“Who are you talking to, Connie?” Dr. Maheswaran was standing at the bottom of the stairs, eyebrow raised in confusion.

She was very tempted to playback the recording Steven had left for her, but she knew if her mom heard it, she’d stop letting her see Steven altogether. So instead, she swallowed. “Steven,” she replied.

Dr. Maheswaran hummed. “Alright. Is... something going on? You sounded stressed out for a second.”

Shoot! Connie hesitated, wondering what she should do. “Um,” she started shakily, “...yeah. He wants me to go over there so I can help him out. Is, is that okay?”

Mom sighed, her dislike of the boy no secret, but after a moment of thought, she nodded. “Okay. Do you want us to drive you there, or are you going to take a bus?”

“I’ll take the bus,” she answered a little too quickly. “Thank you though!”

Before her mom could get in another word, Connie had slipped into her red boots and vanished out the door, bus card in hand.

The ride itself was an excruciatingly long twenty minutes, but for different reasons that usual. On the way, she pulled out her flip phone and tried again.

Six rings, then voicemail.

She tried two more times; the same results.

When they FINALLY pulled up in Beach City, Connie was the first off of the bus. She ran as fast as she could, hoping to the sun and back that Steven was okay. He had to be. She couldn’t imagine a world without him in it.

The bus dropped her off near the center of town- not the best, but it wasn’t too far away from Steven’s house. Heat be damned, she was not stopping until he was embraced in a hug.

When she rounded the corner of the cliff, she froze, the previous vow undermined immediately.

The sand was stirred up, the water coming further up the beach than normal. It coated the bottom of the house, hiding the bushes beneath waves of yellow. The water splashed violently as well, as if tremoring from an earthquake. The Temple looked mostly unharmed at first, but upon further inspection, the statue of Obsidian looked far more rounded than it should. Far more smooth, like it’d been polished or sandpaper-ed (there had to be a word for that).

Connie saw none of it.

Her eyes were drawn to the little lump on the ground. The lump was half covered in sand, but she would recognize that brown hair anywhere, even if his red shirt was a lighter pink for some reason. Steven was lying on his side, facing away from her. He wasn’t moving.

“STEVEN!” Connie burst into a sprint, nearly tripping over her own feet as she ran up to her friend. She fell on her knees next to him, rapidly swiping sand off of him and uncovering the rest of him slowly. His jeans were now also a shade of sky blue, but only on the behind, she noted. The shirt was red as ever in front, the yellow star completely untouched.

She reached forward, turning his head so that he was facing her. His expression was pinched, twitching ever so slightly as he rested. Thank GOODNESS he was alive. Connie felt tears coming to her eyes as she took him in, both relieved he was breathing, but terrified of what must have happened.

How long had he been laying there? Surely the sun couldn’t bleach his clothing that quickly, right? And he was on his side, not face-down. And besides, it was only just after 8:00, early enough for the sun to be up, but not long enough to bleach his clothes like that. The message had come in late at night.

She moved her hands down to his torso. Grunting, she was able to shift his weight, moving him onto her lap. His face pinched even more with the movement, and he hissed in air between his teeth. She cringed, deciding against moving him more and leaving him positioned above her knees.

His breathing was more audible now, at least, for all that was worth.

“St... Steven?” Connie moved the hand that had been holding his chest and moved it up to his face. “Steven, y-you gotta wake up now, okay? It’s morning. Why...” she huffed a laugh that was more akin to letting air out of your lungs than anything humorous. “Why are you sleeping outside? The sun baked your clothes, silly.”

He wasn’t responding, though at least his breathing was evening out. She felt a tenseness leave his shoulders she hadn’t realized was there.

“No, no no no don’t go back to sleep,” she scolded. She moved her hand again, opting to now shake him. He made a small wounded noise at the action, but she couldn’t wait anymore. “Steven, wake up. Wake up!”

“Hhhhrngggghh...” Steven’s eyes finally opened. “Hurts...”

Connie froze. “Sorry,” she said quickly, “but you’re awake now, so...”

“Wh...” Whatever he was trying to say trailed off as he took in his surroundings. His eyes travelled up to Connie’s face, then along the edge of the beach. Only then did Connie start to notice the damage herself. “...th’ gems,” Steven whispered. “Where are the gems?”

“I...” That was a good question. Connie frowned, looking along the beach on instinct. She couldn’t see them anywhere. Were they in the house?

A glint of sunlight caught her eye. Turning to it, she saw that the beach was littered with gemstones. Or, at the very least, the beach directly surrounding the two of them.

The glinting one had been Amethyst, her purple, six-faceted gem catching the light much better than the others. Pearl was next to her, her light, round shape almost disappearing into the sand. On his other side were two gems she didn’t recognize, a three-faceted blue gem, and a four-faceted red one.

She frowned. “I don’t know where Garnet is, but... Amethyst and Pearl are right next to you.”

Steven strained, trying to turn his head in their direction.

“They got poofed.”

He froze. He let his head fall slack again, and it rolled back to the position Connie had been holding it before. His eyes were blown wide. “Wh... what?”

Connie nodded. “There’s two other gems here I don’t recognize, too.”

Steven shook his head lightly. “But that... we were all just...” His breathing began to quicken again, the tenseness returning to his shoulders. “The light, they were right there, but- no, they all... th-they all-!” He struggled out of Connie’s grasp, trying to fight his way to his feet again, only to cry out in pain. He curled in on himself, one arm holding his stomach, the other supporting him on the sand.

“Steven!” Connie stood up and crouched next to him. “Steven, what’s wrong? What hurt you?”

“The light!” he yelled out. He was looking down, eyes unfocused. “Th-the light was- it came from the ship, and, and then we- but I wanted to help! I have Mom’s shield!” He suddenly turned to look at Connie, and she noted with horror that he was crying. “I had Mom’s shield! I-I shoulda been able to block it, I could have! But I... but I-!” He cut himself off, gasping. He brought a hand up to his mouth, sobbing.

“Steven, stop,” Connie put a hand on his shoulder, not entirely sure how else to react. “You’re not making any sense. Let’s get you inside, we should-”

“I failed.”

Connie froze. Steven’s voice had been near inaudible, painted in shades of anguish. She blinked, trying to get in his line of sight again. “What do you mean?”

“I couldn’t do it.” He hiccuped. “They coulda been fighting back, but I wouldn’t listen. They kept telling me to run. If I did, they would have had a better chance.”

“Wh-what?” Connie shook her head. “Steven, please, let’s call your dad. I think you’re in shock. You’re not making any sense. We can talk about this later.”

“Dad...” Steven nodded slowly, his body starting to tremble again. “Yeah, I want my dad. I... I...” He buried his face in his hands, not trying to hold it back anymore.

Connie took the opportunity. She pulled out her phone and gave Greg a call. Unlike Steven, he picked up on the second ring.

“Hello? This is Greg Universe.”

“Mr. Universe?”

“Connie?” The voice over the receiver softened. “What’s up?”

“Um...” Connie ran a hand through Steven’s curls, letting him lay back down for now. He was still crying openly now and getting louder.

Greg seemed to put two and two together. “Is that Steven?! What happened, is he okay?!”

“I...” Connie looked at Steven again, who’d darted his eyes up to her the second he heard the waver in her voice. The motion made him hiss again, and his expression crunched a bit. “I don’t know!” She grabbed the phone with both hands. “I don’t know! He’s alive, but he’s not making any sense. He’s really freaked out, and in pain, and I can’t figure out what’s wrong, and-”

“Woah woah woah, slow down!” Greg’s voice was barely masking his own panic. “He’s alive?”

Connie nodded, then remembered he couldn’t see her. “Yes, he is.”

“Where is he?”

“On the beach. I found him just... j-just laying in the sand.”

“...And the gems?”

“Poofed.”

Greg sighed. “Alright. Okay. I’m coming up on Beach City right now. I’ll be able to take a look at him in a minute. Can you just stay with him until I get there?”

“I promise.” She looked at Steven again, who had zoned out once again, staring at something only he could see. He looked small in her arms, smaller than normal. It hurt.

Greg hung up first without saying goodbye, so Connie simply put the phone in her pocket. She wrapped both arms around him and hugged him as best as she could from this angle, while minding the pain he was in, too. Steven made a small noise, but she couldn’t figure out what it could mean.

Steven Universe Future: Pink State Analysis (Guidance)

The next time we see the pink state is when Steven is fused into Smoky Quartz with Amethyst.

While running towards the roller coaster, we see the background around Smoky constantly switching between pink and purple, depending on which of them is talking.

Smoky (Amethyst): If Steven can save the universe, I can save a roller coaster!

Smoky (Steven): But saving the universe took time! I don't have any time!

We see in these two lines that Amethyst is trying to keep calm by reassuring herself that if Steven could keep himself together during life-threatening situations, she can do it as well.

However, Steven mentions that he doesn't have the patience to retain his confidence at a time like this. Which both means he didn’t have the patience to work with the gems to see what they wanted to do and he doesn't have the time to think about what they should do to save the people.

While still fused as Smoky, Amethyst starts to panic, asking Steven what they should do now. In spite of that, Steven doesn't know and Smoky starts to glow pink, hurriedly desiring to be given more time to think.

Once Smoky sees what has happened to them, they again believe it to be something amazing.

Now pink, Smoky rushes to the rollercoaster in time, only to discover they’ve not only gained enhanced super speed, but also can move so quickly that everything appears slow through their perspective.

Now with their enhanced perception and speed, Smoky saves everyone from the rollercoaster and attempts to go back to save the rollercoaster itself, however, their pink state dissipates and they return to their normal skin tone. and the roller coaster crashes anyway.

The reason pink mode dissipates before they can get back to the roller coaster is because it's not so much of superpower as both Steven and Amethyst thought, but rather activated is a result of Steven believing that he put everyone in danger and was helpless to do anything about it.

Afterwards, Steven and Amethyst talk about they just did, which also reveals they still have yet to learn what the pink state really is.

Afterwards, Steven comments on how Amethyst was successfully able to match the gems to the jobs they wanted and Amethyst reveals that she actually talked to them instead of just guessing. When Amethyst asks Steven what he would like to do as well, Steven gets down on himself over what just transpired, he says he still desires to help people but might be "losing his touch"

The reason for this is because Steven was still trying to help others the way he's always tried to before, by assuming he knew what was best for them to try instead of just consulting them. Now that he knows that isn't the way to help others, he doesn’t know how to do so anymore.

When Larimar comes by soon after to thank Steven for getting out of her comfort zone, saying she enjoys handing out prizes than making snow cones, it allows Steven to see that his idea on its own wasn't wrong, just the way he went about said idea was wrong.

Crossover AU Theory: If Cat-Alastor (Hazbin Hotel) Met Cat-Steven (Steven Universe)

[Note: reading this Crossover Theory is Optional, but it is for Mature Audience Readers Only...also make sure you had watched all the episodes of Hazbin Hotel Season 1 first before reading this.]

yeah, I will get around to the whole part 2 of the theory about Blitzo being Adam's Half-Reincarnation after this and another weird post I want to post after this.

so for those who have watched Steven Universe (and have watched Steven Universe Future and understand a little bit or fully what Steven's been going through, but we can't make others watch that Steven Universe Future, if they want to watch all the episodes, they should only do so by their free will and own accord.)

some of you may know about the girl cat that Garnet ends up adopting (I'm still gonna fanon headcanon her from Sapphire component, is TFA-Prowl's Reincarnation...) and naming Cat-Steven.

Cat-Steven has one eye, and like what would happen if like in a Crossover AU type way, Cat-Alastor and Cat-Steven met...?

I still would love to see Cat-Alastor (full name Cursed Cat Alastor) freak everyone out when they do the demon dance, which involves the witch's cat pose and like side stepping at first before going faster and even bouncing a little.

you must appease them with fish...

*Chaz (Moxxie & Millie's Ex) is being held up in the air by Amethyst*

Pearl: AMETHYST, NO!

Amethyst: what...? they said that Cat-Alastor must be appeased with fish, so I'm gonna throw this Tuna-Himbo Dork to them.

if Emily and Amethyst fused, would they be called Emilethyst or Amelie...?

would their fusion be platonic or romantic...?

Emily must be the embodiment of joy, while Charlie is the embodiment of hope.

so if those two ended up fusing with Amethyst, even if it is a platonic fusion...

wouldn't that make the fusion the embodiment of joy & hope...?

they would probably end up being way bigger than Sera, and possibly taller than TFA-Megatron and TFA-Blitzwing.

Emily/Amethyst/Charlie Fusion could be around almost as tall as Garnet/Pearl/Amethyst's fusion, coming up to the full gem fusion's shoulders.

anyway, in a Fanon Timeline where Cat-Alastor did meet Cat-Steven, anything could happen, maybe Cat-Alastor will somehow end up owning Cat-Steven's soul, which the deal may involve Cat-Alastor placing their cute little paws on Cat-Steven's forehead, and then sticking their tongue out and crossing their eyes, then there is a glow of green and the deed is done.

my cat, well my second cat, does tend to stick their tongue out for a very long minutes or seconds.....it is both funny and cute.

if the hotel isn't careful, Cat-Alastor will rule the hotel with a fluffy iron paw...all the fluffy babies will be on their team, picture Angel crying when it turns out Fat-Nuggets is one of them.

is it weird to think Cat-Alastor might end up liking Fluttershy, and knows to fear her when she gives the stare...?

would Cat-Alastor imprint someone as their "Mom", did they imprint on Alastor or Charlie, or maybe even Angel.

there is a funny thing I learned about cats, which sometimes my cat does to me, even though they aren't really a small kitten anymore.

it has to do with the reason why cats kneed on their owner's chest.

well it's either called kneed or something else, might have to look it up sometime.

if Keekee does that sometimes, like if she use to do that to Lucifer, but stop since she went with Charlie to try to redeem sinners.

she could of ended up doing it again after Lucifer ends up moving into the hotel.

I'm pretty sure after the fight with Adam and Lute, he had ended up moving into the newly build hotel.

Lucifer could wake up and find Keekee massaging his chest, which is what he views it and she keeps doing it.

either when he's sleeping and wakes up to it, or when he's sitting down talking with someone, and that someone ending up being Charlie half the time.

and half the time when this is going on, Husk could be holding in his laugh when watching the scene, because in his life when he still lived on Earth, he may have learned the meaning why cats do that.

and Lucifer not knowing makes it both funny and cute.

cause it basically means he would be viewed as "Mom" by Keekee.

not sure if Cat-Alastor would ended up becoming smitten like a kitten with Keekee, well if they did, it would probably end up being platonic.

also the whole romantic doesn't always have to be the same, some can be just when you hang out together, maybe watching a movie or show together or playing a video game together.

it doesn't always have to be all kissy or cuddles all the time, or the other thing that is "snu-snu"...

I think I'm starting to view myself as more of a Gray-Aroace, which is why sometime I want to make a flag for myself that expresses well the different romantic parts, and aromantic parts of myself.

like I think I am still technically a flux, and even though I'm glad I can't pick up a certain toxic-lust energy of a certain someone anymore when I'm awake, but of course it is thanks to my gem bracelets, but it doesn't mean I wont still be weak to that toxic-lust energy, which is why the dream-catchers are needed...because of those three close call dreams, and the only reason I had that second close call was because I didn't have a dream-catcher up, so I decided to have that dream-catcher I had took down (not talking about the one in a zip-lock bag with salt in the bag with it.) and decided to have it outside my door.

even prayed for a type of protective barrier...and of course the dream-catcher we got next, it seem good but then something weird was about it, and I could of just been fine if I was just having my normal weird dreaming, but then the third close call happen...

so I had to take that one down, put it in a zip-lock bag, even get some of the food salt and hold it in my hands and prayed then I put the salt in the bag as well......I keep that one as far away from me as possible.

I got a new dream-catcher now, for both in my room and for the door outside my room.

I think I would feel safer around Ozzie and Fizz, cause that bad toxic-lust energy, I did not consent to it...and I think the only reason why the barrier open up, was because of that bad dream-catcher.

dream-catchers are suppose to protect you when you sleep, and one of the reasons I wanted to sleep one, even if I may have once did sleep while having a dream-catcher when I was little but stop at some point...

but the reason why I had wanted to get a new dream-catcher, that first started with the one that is now protecting my room that is outside my door.

it has to do with my possibly dream-walking, that the toxic-lust energy from someone placed my dream-self in a trance and the only reason I snap out of it in time, was possibly because of the gem bracelets I was wearing to bed, to protect me while I sleep, even if I now use them for multi-purposes.

and some of you may already know the reason I started to wear gem bracelets to sleep in the first place, and it having to do with being scared awake by a Incubus, it was like being between awake and sleep, or like being aware....and well even if it was for a split minute or second, it was enough to scare me awake.

even if I didn't see them, but I'm pretty sure it was a Incubus...

is it normal for some Earth Angels who are also Humans, to be catnip to Incubus...?

well I'm going to make sure to keep sleeping with my gems to protect me, not just from those like Incubus but also from humans as well.

and some percent of humans are too "in heat" even more reason for me to keep wearing my gems and only take them off only once in a while or when it's necessary...

at least Alastor never has to deal with that, so he's lucky.

anyway if Cat-Steven and Cat-Alastor ended up forming a bond,

it could be interesting if Alastor ended up finding Steven who is dying but he is also having his age fluctuating until it stops when he was a baby, and one of his tears saves him, but he ends up aging much slower than he did when he was still on Earth.

so Alastor ends up adopting Steven, who has a gem on the place where his belly button should be, Steven may have not really died, but he could of been very close to it, that is why his gem ended up causing him to age back into a baby, and even saved him by having him cry and become pink.

Steven as a Baby, might still have his powers, all but fusion, the fusion may only happen much later when he becomes much older.

but picture Baby Steven placing Vox in a very big pink bubble. XD

not sure if I can think of anything else about how Cat-Alastor and Cat-Steven would act to each other if they did meet.

I think Cat-Alastor would pick Baby Steven up by the back of the neck of their clothes and run off, while everyone gives chase.

and all this is happening, Baby Steven is laughing like it's all a game.

also it could be possible that Cat-Alastor and Cat-Steven wouldn't get along at first, until they bond over a shared interest....

ruling over the ones who walk on two legs...XD

I'm weird for thinking about that, but come on...you know how half the time cats sees us as someone who serves them, and at times they can be too cute to say no to. :)
