Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 45
One Year Later
“I hear that they’re letting that fierce corpse run the Nie Sect.”
“Are you SERIOUS?”
“I hear he’s just helping.”
“But…he’s…”
“Look, I’m not saying it’s a BAD idea, I’m just saying…”
“Tell you what, YOU go up to Chifeng-Zun and tell him he can’t do something.”
“Let’s see how that works out for you.”
“Just make sure you’re FAR away from us when you do it.”
“Yeah, I don’t want to be impaled by association.”
“Speaking of impaling…has he killed the Jin bastard yet?”
“I don’t think so.  Sect Leader Lan keeps visiting on a regular basis.”
“I wonder why they’re keeping him alive…”
“No idea, everyone ELSE who was involved with hurting the Yiling Patriarch seems to have disappeared…”
………Lotus Pier………
Sect Leader Jiang,
I shall start with business.  We have received your invitation to Lotus Pier for the One Month Ceremony for Sect Leader and Madam Jin’s new daughter.  The courtesy of not holding it at Koi Tower was not lost on us.  I am pleased to inform you that we will be accepting your invitation.
Wei Ying expressed interest in visiting early, so he could have some time to adjust before a large number of people arrived.  I’m guessing that means that this letter may arrive only JUST before us, since it looks like he’s packing as we speak.
Now, on a more personal note.  Wei Ying has told me that he would like to see you.  I gather the letters you two have exchanged have gone well, he has not shown me their contents, but he is excited when a new one arrives, and seems to be in a pleasant mood afterwards.
His nightmares and panic attacks are becoming fewer and farther between, so I think we might finally be over the worst of it.  He does still fixate on his experiments.  Is that something that he has always done, or this this a new thing that has developed?
If you see Jin Ling before we do, the rest of the Juniors would like to send their regards.  They also said that there was to be some sort of…ceremony?  Celebration?  I wasn’t sure as to what they were speaking about, just that some sort of milestone had been achieved and they were going to “kidnap him for some fun”.  I’m guessing there will probably be large quantities of alcohol involved.
It looks like I shall have to send this letter off now, since there appears to be a small fire…
Regards,
Lan Wangji
Jiang Cheng carefully folded the letter and placed it in the box with the others.  He had been corresponding with Lan Wangji for about a year now.  Ever since he returned to Lotus Pier.  They still hadn’t located Jin Zixun, but he couldn’t spend the rest of his life waiting in the Nie Stronghold.  He had a Sect to run after all.  He was confident that if anyone could find him, Nie Huaisang’s spies could.
“Please have my brother’s rooms prepared.  He is coming to visit.”  Jiang Cheng told a servant.  In traditional Yunmeng Jiang fashion, he soon heard the excited and bellowing calls echoing all throughout Lotus Pier “Wei Wuxian is coming home!”  He smiled and let out a relieved breath.
He’s ready to see me.
I’m missed my brother.
Lan Zhan could hear the calls as he landed Bichen.   It seemed that his letter had only JUST arrived, and the word was still being spread.  He quickly looked at Wei Ying to see how he was doing, since all around them the news that he was coming was echoing.
Wei Ying had his head down, and was fidgeting with the hem of his outer robes.  Lan Zhan placed his finger under Wei Ying’s chin and raised his head.  He saw tears forming in his eyes.
“It seems they are exited that you are home.”  Lan Zhan comforted.
“I didn’t think it would hit me this hard, being…home…”  Wei Ying said with a small smile.
“Mn” Lan Zhan removed his finger and grabbed for Wei Ying’s hand and gave it a squeeze.  “Wei Ying is strong.  Wei Ying is loved.”  Lan Zhan had gotten used to verbalizing for Wei Ying often.  It seemed to help him to recover from what he had endured, and remind him of Lan Zhan’s feelings, when his mind tried to lie to him and make him feel undeserving.
Sect Leader Jiang stood alone on the path ahead of them, as unassuming as possible.  He squeezed Wei Ying’s hand again, to remind him to breathe.
“Your brother loves you.  He remembers your smile, your laugh, how you used to push him in the lake…” Lan Zhan continued to list off memories and things about Wei Ying that were NOT that day in Koi Tower. This was another trick that had seemed to work in the past.
When they reached Sect Leader Jiang, he could see tears falling down his face.  Before anyone could say anything he pulled Wei Ying into a hug.  “I missed you so much.”  He cried.
Wei Ying returned the hug just as tightly, and started crying as well.  “I missed you too.”
Lan Zhan found something interesting to look at elsewhere, and let the brothers have a good cry, while the excited voices of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect echoed around them.
Wei Ying is home.
Wei Ying woke up and he realized he was alone.  Not just in the bed, but Lan Zhan wasn’t in the room at all, which was strange.  Lan Zhan hated leaving him alone.  It was almost like he thought that Wei Ying would disappear if he didn’t look at him every few minutes.  He hadn’t quite realized how much his husband had really meant it when he had said “mine” that first time, like he was some precious treasure that Lan Zhan had found and was jealously hoarding.
Not that he felt suffocated.  Quite the opposite.  Lan Zhan would follow him around wherever he wanted to go.  Patiently wading through crowds of people in markets, or hiking up the sides of mountains to get a better view of the clouds.  It didn’t matter.  Wherever Wei Ying wanted to go, Lan Zhan would follow.
Wei Ying was starting to feel like something was wrong.  There was no note.  Lan Zhan had always either left a note, or someone had come along to visit with him, as if they had requested some time with him alone.  He pulled the blanket around him tighter as he padded out of the room.  He needed to know where his husband was.
He saw the lamps were lit in the main hall, which was strange for this time of night.  Maybe something was wrong.  Maybe Lan Zhan didn’t want to wake him, and rushed to a meeting.  He could make out voices as he got closer.  One was his brother.  He sounds REALLY angry.  One was Lan Zhan, which made him feel instantly better.  One was A-Sang, which he guessed wasn’t so strange.  Who else would have prompted a meeting like this in the middle of the night.  He also made out the sound of a muffled voice, like someone talking into a gag.
Since Wei Ying had grown up in Lotus Pier, he was VERY aware of how to sneak into the main hall and eavesdrop unnoticed.  It wasn’t HIS fault that Jiang Cheng had decided to rebuild everything EXACTLY the way it was before.  He was feeling pretty proud of himself as he settled into his old spot…until he noticed…HIM.
Wei Ying froze, and he had trouble remembering to breathe when he saw that the muffled voice belonged to Jin Zixun.  He didn’t want to be there, but he couldn’t move.  He was frozen, his brain had somehow decided that if he tried to sneak back out, Jin Zixun would SEE him.  He didn’t want to be SEEN.
Jin Zixun was on his knees, surrounded by Nie Guards.  Lan Zhan threw up silencing talismans on the main hall, and Jiang Cheng waved his hand, sealing the room.
“Hey…now we can’t order snacks!”  Nie Huaisang whined, earning him a glare from Jiang Cheng.
“I don’t plan on this taking long enough to REQUIRE snacks.”  Jiang Cheng growled, causing Nie Huaisang to pout.
“We must finish this before Wei Ying wakes.  Left him alone.”  Lan Zhan explained.
Wei Ying wanted to shout out to him, to let him know that he was there, but his throat was sealed closed in fear.  He KNEW that he was safe, there was no way that Lan Zhan would let Jin Zixun hurt him, let alone what his BROTHER would do if he even TRIED to touch Wei Ying again, but he just couldn’t move or say anything.  His mind was trapping him there.
If I stay here, perfectly still, not making a sound…maybe he won’t see me…
I don’t want him to see me
I’ll be safe here.
Nobody ever found me here before
It’ll be fine
*********************Graphic torture***********************
A couple times Wei Ying had been punished by Madam Yu in this very hall, so he wasn’t surprised to see the Nie guards pin Jin Zixun to the floor and find the bolts to tie ropes to, to hold him in place.  He was laying on his stomach.  Jiang Cheng unleashed Zidian and began to strike him, as Lan Zhan knelt down and grabbed Jin Zixun’s wrist, feeding him spiritual energy to heal him after each hit.
Having been hit by Zidian himself, Wei Ying knew the kind of pain Jin Zixun was in.  His fear began to diminish as he watched his brother mercilessly beat the man that had tortured him.  The fabric of his robes was being ripped to shreds, but Lan Zhan dutifully kept knitting the skin of his back together again after each hit, prolonging the punishment.
They seem to have done this before.
I wonder how many times…
When it looked like Jin Zixun was going to pass out from the pain, A-Sang drew up a talisman and flung it at him.  Wei Ying supposed it was to keep him awake.
Jiang Cheng stopped.  “Flip him over, and remove his robes.”  He ordered the guards, panting for breath.  He looked like a wild animal.  He clearly not controlling his rage at all.
Jin Zixun was now spread out on the floor, in an X, naked and sobbing.  Jiang Cheng continued to whip him with Zidian.  He shrieked and screamed as his tender flesh was lashed over and over.  Lan Zhan continued to knit it together as fast as Jiang Cheng broke it open.
I wonder how long they’re going to do this.
Are they going to continue until Jiang Cheng gets tired?
Jiang Cheng moved from Jin Zixun’s torso to his thighs, also landing hits across his exposed cock and balls.  The first time it happened Jin Zixun couldn’t even scream.  He looked like he was choking and his entire body had seized up.  The inhuman scream he let out a couple of seconds later caused A-Sang to cover his ears and grimace.
Finally, after what felt like hours, Jiang Cheng began to tire.  He huffed and hunched over, continuing to glare at Jin Zixun as he sobbed on the ground.  He took the end of Zidian, and wrapped it around Jin Zixun’s cock, starting at the base, and wrapped it around, all the way to the tip, encasing it.  He then sat down on the ground and sent pulses of electricity through Zidian.  Lan Zhan let go of Jin Zixun’s wrist and let Zidian’s damage take hold.
Slowly, Zidian scorched and burned at Jin Zixun’s cock.  Jiang Cheng would yank on Zidian, pulling Jin Zixun’s cock away from his body, and watch as he shrieked and arched his back, trying to relieve the pulling.
************End of Graphic Torture************
It was a horrible scene, and Wei Ying couldn’t stand it any longer.  He uncurled himself and slowly slid down from his hiding spot.  No one seemed to notice him as he padded towards his brother, they were all fixated on the writhing man on the floor.  He knelt down next to his brother and put a gentle hand on his shoulder.
Jiang Cheng looked up at him with wide, questioning eyes.  Wei Ying slowly unsheathed Sandu, and padded over to Jin Zixun, the blanket still draped over his shoulders like a cape.  He lifted up Sandu with both hands, and looked into Jin Zixun’s eyes as he drove it straight through his heart.  Wei Ying wanted him to know that he was showing the mercy that he was never given himself. He was allowing Jin Zixun to die, and end his pain.
He stood there for a minute, leaning on Sandu for support because he was shaking so badly.  Finally, he felt Lan Zhan come up behind him and scoop him up, cradling him to his chest as he carried him back to his room.
The One Month Celebration was a boisterous and borderline disorderly affair, like most in Lotus Pier.  Jiang Cheng had a feeling that it had everything to do with the presence of his brother.  Everyone just seemed…happier, louder, more excited… over the past few weeks since he had come to stay.    It was like the grim blanket that had shrouded Lotus Pier had been lifted and Wei Ying had brought the sun and the breeze with him.
Once Jin Ling’s friends had arrived for the ceremony, the excitement just rose a few levels.  Wei Ying had taken to basically playing with the Juniors, like a big kid.  He still can’t get the picture out of his head of the day he found them in the lake, having some sort of battle that involved one person swimming while another person was on their shoulders, trying to knock another group over with sticks.  When he asked Lan Wangji about it he had just shrugged and told him that there WERE rules, he was just unaware as to what they were.
Jiang Cheng had found himself often over the past few weeks, sitting with Lan Wangji, watching his brother have fun.  Letting the warmth of his brother’s smiles and laughter wash over him and cleanse him of all the anger and the hurt he had been carrying for years.
One day, after all the guests had left except for Wei Ying and Lan Wangji, Jiang Cheng found his brother sitting at the end of the pier with his feet in the water, staring off at nothing.  Jiang Cheng sat down next to him, and he turned to look at him, with a small smile on his face.
“Is this really all real?”  He asked with wonder.
“Of course it is, you idiot.”  Jiang Cheng responded, punching him lightly in the shoulder.
“Oh.” Wei Ying replied, then a twinkle entered his eye.  “Then I guess you’re going to be mad that I probably ACTUALLY burned down the side shed.”
“You-“ Jiang Cheng flushed.
Wei Ying laughed and jumped up, sprinting away from Jiang Cheng.
“Come back here so I can break your legs!”
“You’re going to have to catch me first!”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 44
………Qinghe………
Jiang Cheng was greeted by Nie Huaisang as he landed at the Nie Stronghold.  “Sect Leader Jiang!  I’m glad that you accepted my invitation.”  He smiled as he approached and bowed.
Jiang Cheng returned the bow.  “Of course I would accept.  Though I haven’t forgiven you yet for keeping me in the dark about the fact that my family has been alive all this time.”  He grumbled.
“I’m so sorry about that, really I am.  It’s just, you are a TERRIBLE actor, and you have a famously bad temper.  Can you tell me with a straight face that you would have acted the same, for these past 13 years, had you known the truth?”  Nie Huaisang eyed him cautiously.  “Could you have promised to keep Jin Ling from his parents for 13 years?”
Jiang Cheng didn’t answer.  He knew that Nie Huaisang was correct, and he hated it.  His emotions had always seemed to make him the weak link.  He just wished that everything didn’t come out as anger.  Wei Ying still didn’t want to see him, and he guess he couldn’t blame him.  They were in the same room, all those years ago, and he hadn’t even looked close enough to notice.  He could have save his brother from years of pain and suffering if he had just LOOKED.
Nie Huaisang was eyeing him over his fan.  “He will come around, just give him some more time.  He just…well…he avoids people who SAW him when he was like that.”
He wanted to apologize to Wei Ying.  He wanted to comfort him and tell him that he is loved, and wanted.  But no, Nie Huaisang was right, everything comes out wrong when his emotions are involved.  Better to speak through Lan Wangji, who is APPARENTLY Wei Ying’s HUSBAND?!  When did THAT happen?  Sect Leader Lan had definitely referred to him as his Didi at the conference, and he was wearing a Lan Sect ribbon, even if it was red.
“It was a BIG step for him to come out and say it in front of everyone at the conference.”  Nie Huaisang said quietly.
“Could you tell him that I’m proud to have him as a big brother?” Jiang Cheng asked, his voice threatening to break.
“I will pass along the message.” Nie Huaisang nodded.
*****Graphic Torture Incoming, just skip to the next chapter*****
They spent the rest of the walk to the Conversation Room in silence.  When then entered the room, Jiang Cheng saw that Lan Wangji was already there.
He had Su She tied to a table, his arms hanging down over the edge and bound to the legs of the table.  He was forced into a kowtow position, with his thighs tied to his calves and his ankles tied to the other legs of the table.  A rope was wrapped around his neck and another around his hips, and tied under the table, holding him fairly steady.  He was naked, and Lan Wangji was slowly shoving a red-hot rod up Su She’s ass as he screamed.
“I see you started without us.” Nie Huaisang said, as if he was talking about lunch, rather than torturing a prisoner.
“Sect Leader Jiang!  Oh good.  Please, Sect Leader Jiang, you can’t let this happen.  I’m on YOUR SIDE!”  Sect Leader Yao had a metal ring around his neck that was chained to the wall in the corner.
“MY side?!  And what SIDE is that?!”  Jiang Cheng spat at him.
“You’ve killed more demonic cultivators in the past 13 years than ANYONE.  Please, you can’t let this happen.  We were only following YOUR example.”  Sect Leader Yao wailed.
“My-  MY example?!”  Zidian began to crackle around Jiang Cheng’s wrist.  “You think that I’m ANYTHING like you?  Do you think that I TORTURED people before I killed them?  In fact, you didn’t KILL HIM AT ALL.  You kept him alive so you could CONTINUE to torture him.  MY OWN BROTHER!!”  Nie Huaisang had to hold him back.
Lan Wangji had stopped what he was doing and turned to watch.  His eyes were dark and he looked like he wasn’t all there anymore.
“You’re right, he had to be put down.  He was a rabid dog.  But he deserved to be punished first.  He killed so many people.  He killed your SISTER AND HER HUSBAND! He couldn’t just be ALLOWED to die.  He had to feel every ounce of pain possible before he would be allowed to just DIE.”  Sect Leader Yao’s face took on an ugly sneer.  “Besides, demonic cultivators become so evil that they don’t even FEEL pain anymore.  In fact, he LIKED it.  He was TURNED ON by it.  It was disgusting.  If you had seen it you would agree with me Sect Leader Jiang.  Please, don’t let Hanguang-Jun punish me for doing something that YOU WOULD HAVE DONE TOO!!”
“Oh, Hanguang-Jun isn’t here.  Haven’t you heard?  Once his husband was taken prisoner and tortured he became the Ghost of Gusu.”  Nie Huaisang informed, with a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
Jiang Cheng took a closer look at Lan Wangji.  He looked like a dangerous predator, analyzing his prey before he played with it.  He also just noticed that he wasn’t wearing his forehead ribbon, which was supposed to be a constant reminder to maintain control and restraint.
“He was turned on by it…?”  Lan Wangji asked in a cold, quiet voice, causing a chill to run down Jiang Cheng’s spine.
“Yes, that disgusting brat was turned on by what we did to him.  As if the more pain we gave him, the more it turned him on.  Even when he screamed he was rock har-“  Sect Leader Yao was cut off by Lan Wangji reaching into his mouth, and grabbing onto his tongue.
“Oh boy, you’ve done it now.  You do NOT want to know what happened to the LAST guy, and he only called his husband a whore.” Nie Huaisang informed.
“Sect Leader Jiang, would you be so kind as to unleash Zidian for me?”  Lan Wangji said with no emotion.
Jiang Cheng was in shock, but he did as Lan Wangji asked, and walked over to him.  Lan Wangji picked up the end, which must have hurt a lot, but if it did, he did not show any signs, as he brought the tip of it up to Sect Leader Yao’s tongue.  The Sect Leader screamed and thrashed about as Lan Wangji wrapped the electric whip around his tongue a couple times.  He then held the man’s mouth open and watched as Zidian slowly cooked through his tongue.
“You will never speak another word about my husband again.” Lan Wangji said, staring at him as he screamed and thrashed around, noticing that his tongue was starting to come loose.  Once it flopped to the floor, Lan Wangji released Sect Leader Yao’s head, and walked over to the table in the corner.  He sat down and Nie Huaisang pulled out some medicinal lotion for Lan Wangji’s hands.
“Would Sect Leader Jiang like some tea?”  Nie Huaisang offered, gesturing for him to sit at the table with them.
“You-“ Jiang Cheng just stood in shock for a few seconds.  Unable to fully process what he had just walked in on and witnessed.
“I’ve found that Lan Wangji has a… need…to punish those that hurt Wei Ying.  I’ve found it’s best to just, let him do what he wants to do.”  Nie Huaisang explained gently, looking over at Lan Wangji.
“Does Wei Ying KNOW about this?!”  Jiang Cheng looked at him with wide eyes.
Nie Huaisang shook his head.  “We’ve offered to let him be present, or to dictate a punishment he’d like to see done, but he has stated multiple times that he doesn’t want to know anything.  He just wants it to be over.”  Nie Huaisang picked up a cup of tea and offered it to Jiang Cheng, prompting him to come sit at the table.  “It’s rather funny that he has more mercy towards the people who tortured him than they had for him.  And yet HE is supposed to be the evil one.”
“My brother wouldn’t hurt a fly unless it hurt one of us first.”  Jiang Cheng said, accepting the cup of tea.
Lan Wangji looked up at him.  “That is why I do this, for him.  They deserve to be punished.”
“Would you like to have a go while Lan Wangji’s hands heal?”  Nie Huaisang offered.  He gestured to the table that Su She was bound to, with the rod still poking out of his ass.  “He was the one who controlled who got to visit Wei Ying in Koi Tower, once Jin Guangyao had him moved to the private room.” Nie Huaisang then gestured to Sect Leader Yao.  “And, as you’ve already heard, HE took great pleasure in torturing Wei Ying as many times as he could, knowing FULL WELL who he was, and that it WAS NOT consensual.”
“Please, have mercy Sect Leader Jiang.”  Su She cried.  “I was only the gate keeper.  I was following Jin Guangyao’s orders.  I didn’t DO anything to the slut myself.”
“Oops.”  Nie Huaisang all but giggled at the slip.
“What, did you call MY BROTHER?!”  Jiang Cheng shot up out of the chair, Zidian snapped to attention, shooting purple sparks.
“Please…please it’s true.  He LIKED it.  He enjoyed what was happening.  He even CAME.”  Su She pleaded.
“Flip him over.”  Jiang Cheng growled at the guards.  “Flat on his back.  It seems you need a basic anatomy lesson.”
Su She sobbed as the guards untied him, flipped him onto his back, then retied him, because the rod was bobbing up and down due to the movement, inside his ass.
Jiang Cheng went over to the instrument wall and picked out some twine.  He returned to the table and grabbed Su She’s cock.  “So you think that this only gets hard when you’re enjoying it?  Do you think that this only releases at climax when you’ve been ENJOYING yourself?!”  Jiang Cheng nodded and took a deep breath. “Fine, okay.  Let’s see how much of a SLUT YOU are.”
Jiang Cheng fisted Su She and began stroking his cock, but not in an efficient way.  The more Su She begged and protested, the gentler, and more sensual he was.  Once Su She was good and hard Jiang Cheng took out the twine.  “I heard that my brother had a ring around the base of his cock, right HERE.”  Jiang Cheng tightly grabbed Su She, so he would understand where he was talking about.  “Do you know what the purpose of that was?”
Su She just sobbed as Jiang Cheng tightly wrapped the twine around the base of his cock, separating it from the balls and trapping the blood inside.  “So let’s see what turns YOU on.”  Jiang Cheng said threateningly as he flicked at Su She’s cock.  He grabbed hold of the metal rod sticking out of Su She’s ass and started rotating it.  Su She screamed and threw his head back and cried as Jiang Cheng slowly fucked him with the rod.  “Looks like you LIKE this.  You’re still hard and DRIPPING.”  Jiang Cheng mocked.
“No, please.  It HURTS.  Please stop.  I DON’T like it.  I don’t know WHY I’m still hard.  Please!”  Su She begged and sobbed.
“You hear that?  He doesn’t understand why he’s still so hard when it hurts and he doesn’t like it.”  Jiang Cheng said to Nie Huaisang and Lan Wangji, still seated at the table.  He took his hand off the rod in Su She’s ass.  “You see, the twine at the base of your cock is holding in the blood, keeping you hard.  Just like that device that was on my brother’s cock.”
Jiang Cheng started to pump Su She’s cock again, as he twisted and pumped the rod in his ass.  He kept going, watching Su She scream and sob and beg.  Protesting that he didn’t like it over and over.  “You say you don’t like it, but you’re DRIPPING.”  Jiang Cheng mocked as he ran his finger through the liquid spilling out of the tip of Su She’s cock.  “So either you’re lying, or it IS possible to be physically hard and not enjoy what is happening.”
Jiang Cheng began to slam the rod in harder as Su She got closer to climax, delaying it further and drawing out more powerful screams.  When Su She finally climaxed, it was with a powerful shriek because Jiang Cheng slowly pulled the rod out, twisting it as he went.
“See, you even CAME.  Guess you’re just a SLUT too.”  Jiang Cheng walked back over to the table and sat down.  “Sorry Lan Wangji, I don’t know if you wanted to keep that in him.”
“Mn, it is fine.  This was good too.”  Lan Wangji replied, then took a sip of tea.  “Do you still have the bamboo patch out back?”  He asked Nie Huaisang.
“We do.  They were freshly trimmed and sharpened just this morning.”  Nie Huaisang replied as if they were talking about the weather.
“Stretch him over the patch, face down so he can watch them grow.  If he manages to live for a week, we’ll see if he deserves to be set free or not.”  Lan Wangji told the guards.  “Unless, you wanted to go a few more round with him, Sect Leader Jiang.”
Jiang Cheng waived his hand dismissively.  “No, I’m done with Su She.”
Intermission
“So what do we do with THAT one?”  Nie Huaisang asked, fanning himself.  Clearly he was just prodding the others to continue the show.
“Wait.”  Lan Wangji said to the guards.  He walked over to Sect Leader Yao and unceremoniously untied his robes and threw them open, then shoved his pants down.  “Bring him over here.”
When the guards brought Su She over, Lan Wangji compared the size of his cock to Sect Leader Yao’s.  “He’s bigger.”  He then motioned for the guards to bring Su She to the center of the room.  He tied Su She’s wrists together and swung the end of the rope through a hook in the ceiling.  Lan Wangji then motioned for the guards to bring over Sect Leader Yao, as he held Su She in place.
He had the guards place Sect Leader Yao on his knees, in front of Su She.  Lan Wangji used the rope to adjust Su She’s height, so his cock would line up with Sect Leader Yao’s mouth.  He then tied off the rope.  “Nie Huaisang, would you help me with something?”  Lan Wangji asked, like he was asking for an interpretation on a text he was reading.
Nie Huaisang raised his eyebrows at Jiang Cheng, then got up and walked over to Lan Wangji.
“Would you help me arrange Sect Leader Yao, so that he is in the same condition as how you found my husband?”  Lan Wangji asked him.  The Sect Leader began struggling and making horrible noises in his throat.
“Certainly.”  Nie Huaisang bowed to Lan Wangji, then he went to the instrument wall to pick out what he needed.
Jiang Cheng watched in horror as the two worked.  Clothing removed, nipples pierced and weights hung from them, eyes sewn shut, needles shoved under his fingernails, some horrible claw-like contraption shoved in his mouth to keep it open, a thin rod shoved down the slit of his cock, a metal ring attached at the base of the cock, and then a bamboo pole was tied behind his neck, and his wrists tied resting on the pole, fingers exposed.
Lan Wangji walked over to the coals and picked out a thin poker.  He walked back over to the Sect Leader and grabbed him roughly by the hair.  He tilted the Sect Leader’s head to the side, giving him a good angle at his ear.  Slowly, he inserted the poker into the ear, causing the most horrible shrieking sound Jiang Cheng thought he had ever heard.  Then, he did it to the other ear.
Jiang Cheng thought he was going go be sick.
THIS is how they found Wei Ying?!
Blind, deaf, mute…
Bound in that horrible position?
Open and exposed for anyone to use…
Not knowing who, or how, or when?
Zidian crackled as Jiang Cheng’s rage flowed through his meridians.  Hearing about it was one thing, seeing it that one time out of the corner of his eye wasn’t as bad and being here now, faced with it head on.
“Monsters.  They’re all monsters.”  Jiang Cheng hissed.
“Wei Ying was only able to identify people by smell and taste.  He did not know who it was who was violating him.”  Lan Wangji explained in a quiet and cold voice.  “He couldn’t distinguish reality from nightmares.  It took him…a long time…to realize that here and now is real, and not some fantasy he dreamed up to cope with the torture.”
Jiang Cheng was glad he was sitting, because if he hadn’t been, his knees would have given out.  So he just sat there, dumbly, as Lan Wangji finished securing the two prisoners for whatever punishment he had dreamed up for them.
Su She’s cock was inserted into Sect Leader Yao’s mouth, almost to the hilt.  He was gagging and drooling and his eyes were watering.  Clearly he was trying to figure out how to breathe.  Lan Wangji spent some time flicking the needles sticking out of his fingers, causing him to scream around the cock in his throat, the vibrations combined with the gagging was causing Su She to harden.
Lan Wangji walked back over to the instrument table.  He picked out two thumb screws and something that looked phallus shaped.  He walked over to Su She and tightened first one thumb screw, then the other, on his balls.  He screamed and bucked at the pain, involuntarily fucking into Sect Leader Yao’s throat.
“Ohhhhh, I see now…” Nie Huaisang said, sitting back down at the table, a servant had just come with refreshments.
Jiang Cheng felt a tap on his shoulder and he realized it was Nie Huaisang’s fan.  He gestured towards the snacks.
He couldn’t eat.  He wasn’t hungry.  He was in too much shock and rage to think about anything else except that this is what his brother had gone through…for years…
Lan Wangji walked behind Sect Leader Yao, and without warning he shoved the phallus into him, violently.  He screamed and bucked at the sudden violation.  Lan Wangji proceeded to viciously fuck him with the object.  His screams must have been turning Su She on, because he began moaning and rocking his hips forward.  Every once in a while Lan Wangji would reach over and flick a needle, causing both the prisoners to scream and buck, one in pain and one in pleasure.
Jiang Cheng watched in fascinated horror as Su She eventually bucked and climaxed, shooting down Sect Leader Yao’s throat.  Lan Wangji motioned for a guard to continue fucking Sect Leader Yao, then he walked over and grabbed a paddle.  He walked behind Su She and began raining hits down on his ass, the force causing him to slam into Sect Leader Yao’s mouth and down his throat.  When another guard started to flick at the needles, it became a grotesque symphony of pained screams mixed with Su She’s pleasured moans.
Tears were freely falling down Jiang Cheng’s face as he watched.  He couldn’t look away this time.
THEY did this to him.
How many times?
How many PEOPLE?
Lan Wangji made eye contact with him, and gestured for him to join.  He felt himself getting up, and unleashing Zidian.  He felt himself walking over to the spectacle.  Before he realized what was happening, he had hit Sect Leader Yao across the back with Zidian.  Lan Wangji fed the Sect Leader some spiritual energy, then nodded to Jiang Cheng that he could continue.
So they continued like that for a bit.  Su She came again while screaming in pain, Sect Leader Yao screaming and writhing in pure agony.  Finally something snapped in Jiang Cheng and he rained down an almost constant stream of hits onto Sect Leader Yao’s back.  Beating him to death.
Lan Wangji stopped and stared for a bit, breathing heavily due to the exertion of beating Su She.  “Okay, you can take him to the bamboo patch now.”  He told the guards finally.  “I don’t care what you do with this one’s body.”
The guards bowed and took Su She away.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 43
………Cloud Recesses………
Wen Ning told the story from his point of view, the parts that he could remember.  When he was finished Lan Xichen gestured for him to go sit at a table that had been set up off to the side.  “Thank you, Master Wen.”
“So how did Su She gain control?”
“I still can’t believe that Jin Guangshan was keeping a weapon like that under wraps.”
Masters Xiao and Song stepped forward and bowed.  “Sect Leader Lan, I believe I can offer further explanation.”
“Please, continue Master Xiao.”  Lan Xichen bowed to them.
“We were present at the interrogation of Xue Yang, before his death.  We can bear witness to the assertation that he was in possession of a shard of the Yin Iron, and had given it to Su She to use to take control of the fierce corpses.  Also, Master Song personally witnessed along with Senior Lan, Senior Fu, and several Juniors, Su She using a teleportation talisman to grab the Yin Iron shard from Xue Yang and escape with it, prior to the order for Sect Leader Jin’s assassination.”  Xiao Xingchen explained.
“I did it for HIM!”  Su She snarled.  “I wanted to prove to him that I wasn’t useless.  I’m just as good if not BETTER than Xue Yang.  Besides, killing off that little brat was in his best interests.  They were never going to accept him as a legitimate Sect Leader unless that kid was dead.”  Su She snapped.  “I’d done it before, in Qiongqi Pass, when he had me kill off his BROTHER.  I figured the son would be easier.”
“Er-ge, he’s lying.  You have to believe me.  He has every reason to lie about this.”  Jin Guangyao said smoothly to Lan Xichen.  “I had no idea that Jin Zixuan was going to be there that day.  I would have done everything I could to stop him if I had.”
“That’s a lie.”  Jin Zixuan said as he strode in.
Gasps and cries of shock rippled through the crowd.
Jin Zixuan bowed to Lan Xichen.  “If I may, Sect Leader Lan.”
Lan Xichen smiled and motioned for him to rise, “Please continue.”
Jin Zixuan smiled, unkindly to Jin Guangyao, then continued.  “My BROTHER came to me upset, saying that he had overheard of a plot to kill Wei Wuxian before he could make it to my son’s one month celebration.  He convinced me to go and try to stop it, to keep the peace for the sake of my wife.  So I did, but I was intercepted by Nie Huaisang himself on the way.  He told me there was in fact, a plot to kill Wei Wuxian, but also myself.  He had sent a double in my place.  THAT is who you killed in Qiongqi Pass that day.”
“I didn’t KNOW he was going to try to kill you too!  You have to believe me Gege, I couldn’t have KNOWN!”  Jin Guangyao started to beg, realizing the danger he was potentially in.  With the direct heir of the Jin Sect alive, he no longer had the most legitimate claim to leadership.
“But you DID know you were killing ME.”  Nie Mingjue growled as he entered the main hall.
Jin Guangyao shrieked and tried to scurry away from the sight of the large and imposing figure heading towards him, but Jin Zixuan stopped him.
‘How- how is it possible?”
“He died of Qi Deviation.”
“Is he a fierce corpse?”
“The only one who could do that was the Yiling Patriarch.”
“He’s dead.”
“We’ve thought a LOT of people were dead who apparently are not.”
“You were my sworn brother, and yet, at the orders of your father, you killed me.”  Nie Mingjue accused.
“No-no, it wasn’t me-I didn’t…I couldn’t-“
“Sect Leader Lan, if I may.” Master Xiao was bowing again.
“You may.” Lan Xichen nodded towards him.
“Xue Yang also spoke as to the incident involving Sect Leader Nie’s death.  He confirmed that it was ordered by Jin Guangshan, and carried out by Jin Guangyao.  He said Jin Guangshan was hoping to turn Nie Mingjue into a fierce corpse, and upon the Jin Sect Leader’s death, Jin Guangyao kept the body, hoping his consciousness could be brought back like Master Wen’s was.”
Before anyone could say anything else, Wen Qing entered the room.  She bowed to Sect Leader Lan, “If I may.”
“You may.” Lan Xichen smiled at her.
“Jin Guangshan and Jin Guangyao lied to all of you.  There was no intention to rid the world of demonic cultivation, quite the opposite.  Jin Guangshan craved the power it could give him.  He kept myself and my brother, and Wei Ying as prizes that he could use to further cultivate his own knowledge of the use of resentful energy.  I was rescued by Nie Huaisang shortly before my supposed death, however my brother and Wei Ying were kept at Koi Tower for years, in the pursuit of gaining more power for the Jin Sect.  The proof that my brother was being used as a tool is obvious.  He was sent as an assassin to kill Jin Ling.  We have already heard testimony corroborating the statement that Wei Ying was being held for his expertise in resentful energy cultivation.”
“It looks like he succeeded.”
“So it WAS the Yiling Patriarch who brought back Chifeng-Zun”
“Are they still holding him in Koi Tower?”
“Sect Leader Lan,  my uncle knew about the demonic cultivation. He participated in the experiments with my grandfather.”  Jin Ling bowed.
Jin Guangyao looked thoroughly flustered.  “You- there’s no way…”
“I followed you one day.  I saw you and grandfather with the screaming man, experimenting with demonic cultivation.”
“And do you know who this, screaming man, was?”  Lan Zhan asked quietly.
Jin Ling nodded.  “He was also the person kept in the main hall as the Koi Tower Sex Slave.”
There was an uproar from the crowd.
“Wait, did he just say…”
“The Yiling Patriarch was ALSO the-“
“I can’t believe this.”
“The depravity”
“He should have been killed”
“-too dangerous to keep around”
“SILENCE!!!!” Lan Qiren bellowed, hushing the crowd once again.
“So, if I am to get this straight, Jin Guangshan ordered his son, Jin Guangyao to kill Chifeng-Zun, so he could have Wei Wuxian, someone he was keeping captive rather than having killed like he had said, turn him into a fierce corpse.  He was ALSO keeping Wen Ning to use as a weapon, even though he had said he had performed that execution as well.”
“And Jin Guangyao, sent Jin Zixuan to his death, and upon gaining control of the Jin Sect, he was using Wei Wuxian to try to find a way to return Chifeng-Zun’s consciousness.”
“And Su She took it upon himself to take the Yin Iron shard and use Wen Ning to assassinate Jin Ling, so Jin Guangyao could officially take control of the Jin Sect.  This is after he used it to take control of the fierce corpses from Wei Wuxian during the Qiongqi Pass AND the Bloodbath at the Nightless City.”
“Meaning, the real villain in all of this was Su She, and by proxy Jin Guangshan and Jin Guangyao, not Wei Wuxian.”  Lan Xichen stared directly at Jin Guangyao as he said the last part.
“No!  No.  It isn’t true.  I’m being set up!  The Yiling Patriarch is DEAD!  I saw it myself!  I SAW THE BURNED BODY MYSELF!”  Jin Guangyao was becoming unhinged.
The door to the main hall opened and in walked Wei Wuxian, holding onto Jiang Yanli’s arm to steady himself.  They were followed by a trail of Juniors, in two neat rows.  The sight of him in robes bearing the Cloud Recesses motif, and with the Lan Sect Ribbon prominently displayed on his forehead had the room in an uproar.
“THERE WILL BE SILENCE”  Lan Qiren bellowed again.
“Are you sure of what you saw, Jin Guangyao?”  Lan Xichen asked in a mocking way.
The Juniors formed a protective line between Wei Wuxian and the crowd.  They bowed in unison along with Wei Wuxian and Jiang Yanli to Lan Xichen.
“This one would like to give testimony.”  Wei Wuxian said in an uncharacteristically quiet voice.
“Please proceed, Didi.” Lan Xichen smiled warmly at him.  The familiar way he replied to Wei Wuxian causing a gasp to ripple through the crowd.
“Replying to the Qiongqi Pass ambush.  I could feel myself losing control of Wen Ning.  I did not intend to kill Jin Zixuan, I was trying to get him to leave so he wouldn’t be caught by any of the arrows and before I knew it, Wen Ning had killed him.  Or so I thought.”  He added, looking over at Jin Zixuan, very much alive.
“Replying to the Bloodbath at the Nightless City.  I knew I was fighting another demonic cultivator.  It was taking so much energy to try to maintain control of my corpses that I was distracted.  When my Shijie… well, I lost all control after that.  I am truly sorry for what my corpses did.  I was not in my right mind.”
“It is true that I did not die during the Siege of the Burial Mounds.  Jin Guangshan sent Xue Yang and Jin Zixun to…convince me…to turn Chifeng-Zun into a fierce corpse for him.  I refused.  It is true that I became what you all refer to as the Koi Tower Sex Slave.  It is my understanding that Sect Leader Nie found me and brought me to the Nie Compound to…recover.  That is where I, along with some help, was able to return Chifeng-Zun’s consciousness to his body.”
“Thank you, Didi.”  Lan Xichen said warmly, bowing to him.
Jiang Yanli helped Wei Wuxian exit the room after he bowed formally to both Sect Leader Lan, and the crowd of cultivators.  They were followed by the line of Juniors.  Before the doors were shut the room erupted in chaos.
The Juniors came back into the room in time to stop Jin Guangyao from running out.  Lan Jingyi managed to get him by the scruff of the neck and dragged him back to the center of the floor.  Lan Xichen launched himself from where he had been sitting onto the floor and joined the fray.
The crowd was quickly splitting into two groups.  One group against Wei Wuxian, and the other was apparently defending Wei Wuxian.  Lan Xichen caught the glint of a fan flying towards him out of the corner of his eye and spun just in time to see it deflect a blade that was heading towards him, then return to Nie Huaisang.  He nodded his thanks and continued into the fight.
Once the Nie guards entered the fight ended quickly.  Lan Xichen pulled out his xiao and pulled all the spiritual weapons to the ceiling, and allowed Nie Huaisang to pull out the people on his list from the crowd.  He divided them into the two groups, the people with stars next to their names were placed off to the side under guard.  Lan Xichen released the spiritual weapons.
“Now THAT’S out of everyone’s system,” Lan Xichen chided as he went back to his spot at the head of the room.  He motioned for the guards to place the people who were pulled out on their knees.  “You all have been found to have visited the Koi Tower Sex Slave.  You have committed a reprehensible act against a member of the Lan Sect.  As such, you will be punished by Lan Sect rules.”
Lan Xichen went down the line and asked each one how many times they visited Wei Wuxian when he was held prisoner.  Nie Huaisang took notes and handed it back to Lan Xichen when he was finished.  “All of you will be expelled from your parent Sects, and will not be welcome in any cultivation Sect from this day forward.  Furthermore, each one of you will receive a strike from the discipline whip for every time you violated a member of the Lan Sect.  The punishment will be carried out tomorrow morning, after breakfast.”
Lan Xichen waived his hand and the Nie Guards took away the group in the center.  They were replaced by the group that had stars next to their names.  “You all will be taken back to the Nie Stronghold for further interrogation to ascertain the extent that you were involved in the capture, torture, and violation of a Lan Sect member.”  Lan Xichen waved his hand and the group was taken away by the Nie Guards.  Jin Guangyao fought and screamed the entire way out of the Main Hall.
“Now, does anyone else have a problem with Wei Wuxian?  Let’s hear in now.”  Lan Xichen was clearly out of patience.
Lan Zhan heard Wei Ying playing WangXian as he walked up to the Jingshi.  Wei Ying was standing on the porch, his hair and ribbons blowing gently in the wind.  He stood for a minute, drinking in the sight of his husband, standing on the porch of their house, dressed in Lan Sect robes, playing their song.  Wei Ying turned and a wide grin spread across his face when he saw Lan Zhan.
“Missed you.” Wei Ying said as he tucked Chenqing in his waist band.
Lan Zhan pulled Wei Ying into a deep kiss.  “Wei Ying looks good in his new robes.”  He hummed. He hiked Wei Ying up onto his hips and Wei Ying wrapped his legs around Lan Zhan’s waist and his arms around his neck.  They continued to devour each other’s mouths as Lan Zhan carried him into the Jingshi.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 42
………Cloud Recesses………
“WHERE IS HE?!”  Jiang Chang barged into the room with so much force that the nearby candles blew out.
Lan Wangji silenced the guqin and looked up calmly.  “He is not here.”
“You-“  Jiang Cheng fumed.  “Where is my IDIOT brother?!”
Lan Wangji got up to serve tea.  “I believe Wei Ying is afraid to face you.”
“Afraid?!  WHY? What could HE possibly be afraid of?!  He’s never been afraid of ANYTHING!”  Jiang Cheng couldn’t stop himself from shouting.
Why am I shouting?
I’m not mad at HIM
Why do I always sound like I am
Okay, I’m a little mad that he gave me his core without asking
And I’m a little mad that he left me to go live in the Burial Mounds with the Wens
Okay, maybe I am mad at him
“Is he…okay?” Jiang Cheng asked, quieter.
“He is recovering.”  Lan Wangji replied, and gestured for him to sit down.
“Recovering.” Jiang Cheng repeated as he sat down.
“Mn”.  Lan Wangji offered him a cup of tea.  “Still has frequent nightmares, and panic attacks are easily triggered.”
“Ah, so it’s best to keep his emotionally volatile brother away from him, is that it?” Jiang Cheng pouted.
“Wei Ying is…ashamed.”  Lan Wangji said carefully.
Jiang Cheng’s mouth fell open in shock.
“What for?  What has he done that he could POSSIBLY be ashamed about?  So he lost control of the fierce corpses, okay.  It SUCKS but it isn’t something to be ashamed about to the point that he doesn’t want to see me.  I know he didn’t kill our Shijie.  I just want to apologize to him for thinking he did, and see if he’s okay.  He gave me his damn golden core…the idiot…”  Jiang Cheng deflated.
“Wei Ying feels guilty about what happened when he lost control of the fierce corpses, and still hasn’t forgiven himself for what happened to your Shijie, but that is not why he’s too ashamed to see you.” Lan Wangji explained.
Jiang Chang looked at him in shock, and not just because it’s more words than he’s EVER heard Lan Wangji say, and all at once.
Lan Wangji sighed and put down his teacup.  “This will come out at the conference, but you should hear it first, when you can process your feelings in private.”
“Yeah, yeah, Sect Leader Nie still has Zidian, everyone is safe.”  Jiang Cheng mumbled.
“Wei Ying did not die in the attack on the Burial Mounds, as you’ve gathered.”  Lan Wangji started.
“Yanli told me. But she refused to say anything else.  She told me to come here.”
“He was captured by Jin Guangshan.  He was tortured by him, Zixun, and Xue Yang to try to get him to make fierce corpses for them.  When he continued to refuse, they broke him, and made him the Koi Tower Sex Slave.”
“….WHAT?!”
Lan Wangji sat calmly as Jiang Cheng raged about the room, screaming and throwing things.  “I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL THEM!!!”  He picked up and threw the entire tea set against the wall, shattering it.  “Is this why he’s “RECOVERING”?!  HE WAS BEING FUCKING TORTURED FOR THE PAST 13 YEARS?!”
He stopped pacing and trained his burning eyes on Lan Wangji. “DID YOUR BROTHER FUCKING KNOW?!” He accused.
Lan Wangji shook his head.  “He was just recently…made aware.  He suggested that we use this gathering to round up all those that…participated…in Wei Ying’s captivity and torture.”
Jiang Cheng raged for a while longer, then slowly transitioned to angry sobs.  Finally, he collapse on the floor, wailing.  Lan Wangji began to play calming music for him, and by the time Yanli came for him, Jiang Cheng had stopped making any noise, and was just lying on the floor, curled up, with his eyes open staring at nothing, tears streaming down his face.
Lan Zhan found Wei Ying where he had left him, with the bunnies.  He drew the blanket tighter around Wei Ying before settling behind him, pulling him onto his lap.
“How did it go?” Wei Ying asked quietly.
“There was much shouting, and breaking of things.” Lan Zhan said.  “Sect Leader Jiang cares for you greatly, did not like to be told you were hurt.”
Wei Ying let out a sigh and curled into Lan Zhan.  “I don’t know if I can ever face him.”  Lan Zhan began rubbing gentle circles into Wei Ying’s back.  “He SAW, Lan Zhan.  When he came to get Jin Ling from Koi Tower that day.  Jin Guangshan decided to make me put on a show for him…with Jin Zixun….”
Lan Zhan felt his robes begin to moisten from Wei Ying’s tears.  “I was put on display for him.  He SAW everything.  I don’t think I can ever face him, now that he knows.”
“Is this why Wei Ying does not want to be present for any of the punishments?”  Lan Zhan asked gently.
“It makes it worse, when they KNOW it was me, and I KNOW that they KNOW.”  Wei Ying whispered.  “I just want to pretend that it didn’t happen. I want it all just to quietly go away.”
“Mn” Lan Zhan began to rock Wei Ying.  “Will be over soon.”
“How did it go?” Lan Xichen asked as he came up behind them, and sat down next to Lan Zhan.
“Loud, messy.”  Lan Zhan replied.
“Well, at least it’s done.  Better than him finding out tomorrow with everyone else.”  Lan Xichen placed a box on the ground between them.  “This was completed today.  Also, the robes you requested have been delivered to the Jingshi.”
Lan Zhan picked up the box and opened it, since Wei Ying was in his lap they both could see.  Wei Ying gasped and Lan Zhan looked over at his brother with surprise.
“The elders insisted that the husband of Lan Wangji should have a proper ribbon, even if he did not choose to wear it.”
“The ELDERS insisted?!”  Wei Ying sat up and stared at Xichen in disbelief.
“You are my brother’s husband.  That makes you family.  This is your right as a member of the Lan Sect.  It should have been presented in a formal ceremony, however Uncle thought it might be better if you had it if you chose to be present tomorrow.”
Wei Ying gingerly took the forehead ribbon out of the box and ran his thumb over the emblem.  He felt a swelling in his chest and he felt tears threaten to fall from his eyes.  The emblem resembled the one Lan Zhan had, but the ribbon was red, with silver clouds embroidered in it.
“Would Wei Ying like me to put it on him?” Lan Zhan asked gently.
Wei Ying choked back a sob and nodded.  He turned so that he was facing Lan Zhan and held up the ribbon. Lan Xichen smiled warmly as Lan Zhan took the ribbon and gently tied it around Wei Ying’s forehead, then leaned forward and rested his own ribbon against Wei Ying’s.  Privately completing the ceremony.
“Well, my work here is done.  I should get back before I’m missed.”  Lan Xichen excused himself quickly, leaving Lan Zhan and Wei Ying to…whatever it was they were planning on doing.
Wei Ying ran his hands over the robes that Lan Zhan had commissioned for him.  He must have been secretly planning this for a while.  They were of Wei Ying’s preferred style and cut.  The inner robes were red, to match his hair and forehead ribbons.  The outer robes were black, with the traditional cloud recesses clouds embroidered in silver.  They looked like the perfect robes for a Demonic Lan Sect Cultivator.  Wei Ying giggled at the thought.  He dressed in them, and slipped Chenqing into this waist before drawing up a teleportation talisman.
He appeared in the room off the main hall, where the other members of the special dead people club were waiting to be called in.  Well, them and Su She, who was looking miserable in the corner under Nie guard.
“A-Xian, you look stunning!”  Yanli gushed and began to inspect his robes.
“Guess the whore pretties up nicely” Su She spat, earning him a backhand to the face from one of the guards.
“You’ll get your turn to talk, traitor.”  Nie Mingjue growled.  “Save it for a larger audience.”
Nie Huaisang entered and addressed everyone.  “Okay, everyone is here.  It’s about to start.  I just want to be clear that the only person REQUIRED to go out there is Su She.  The rest of you have a choice.”
“We understand.” Yanli nodded.
“I’ll come get you when it’s your time.” Nie Huaisang finished and left the room.
Wei Ying was thankful that his Shijie was there for now because he was beginning to get really nervous.
Lan Xichen bowed his head to Nie Huaisang when he entered the main hall, signaling that he understood that it was time and everyone was assembled.  He motioned to Jin Guangyao to take his place in front of the gathered members of the cultivation community.
“Sect Leaders, honored guests, thank you for joining the Lan Sect today.  I apologize for the short notice, but  seems that there was some urgent business that needed to be attended to.”  It wasn’t the expected opening to a Sect Leader coronation, so there were murmurs in the crowd.
“Please, let us begin discussion of the proposed appointment of Jin Guangyao as the leader of the Jin Sect.”
“What’s there to discuss?” “Have any of Jin Guangshan’s other bastards come to lay claim?” “He’s been doing the job already.”
“I have an objection.”  Jin Ling said as he entered from the side room with Nie Huaisang.  “Seeing as how I’m NOT dead.”
The room was filled with shocked gasps.  Lan Xichen thought the look on Jin Guangyao’s face was priceless.  He watched the look of shock quickly get replaced with a practiced, fake smile.
“A-Ling!  I’m so happy to see you alive.”  Jin Guangyao put on a show of being happy to see his nephew, very much alive.
“Are you?  I thought you would be happy with my death, seeing as how you ORDERED it.”  Jin Ling spit.
“What?!  How can you THINK that?  Jin Ling I would NEVER-“
Nie Huaisang entered with Su She.  “Fellow Sect Leaders, my spies have apprehended the person who was controlling the Ghost General, Wen Ning, who was the tool used in the attempted assassination of Sect Leader Jin.”
Chaotic shouts and gasps erupted from the crowd of cultivators.
“I did NOT!  He’s LYING!”  Jin Guangyao squealed.  “Please, Er-ge, you have to believe me.  He did it on his own!”
“How do we know it wasn’t the Yiling Patriarch?”
“Wasn’t he the one to originally control the Ghost General?”
“Wasn’t the Ghost General killed?”
“How are we even sure that it WAS the Ghost General?”
Nie Huasiang returned to the room, this time with Wen Ning.  Wen Ning immediately bowed into a kowtow at Lan Xichen’s feet.  “Sect Leader Lan, please allow this one to explain.”
“QUIET!!”  Lan Qiren bellowed, silencing the commotion in the room.
Lan Xichen smiled warmly and gestured to Wen Ning, “Please.”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 41
“I heard all the cultivators are gathering at Cloud Recesses.”
“Is it another Discussion Converence?”
“I don’t think so.”
“I heard that Zewu-Jun is finally flexing his muscles.”
“So it is mandatory attendance?”
“I wonder what’s going on.”
“Maybe he’s marrying the Jin Bastard.”
“Or maybe they’re doing the coronation there?”
“Since he’s officially taking over the Jin Sect.”
………Cloud Recesses………
The Juniors flew in early, with the members of the special dead people club.  The name had kind of stuck.  Lan Qiren was waiting for them when they landed on the lawn outside the main hall, in the dead of night.
“This way.” He whispered quietly after a quick exchange of bows.  Wei Ying made sure to stay hidden surrounded by a clump of Juniors.  He definitely did NOT want to have a confrontation with Master Lan at the moment.
They were led to the back mountain, where a new pavilion had been built.  Wei Ying felt the tingling of arrays all around as they drew closer.  This place was heavily protected.  When they reached the main gate, Lan Qiren stopped and pulled out a handful of jade tokens.
“We have changed out our tokens, due to security compromises in the past.  These tokens will let you in and out of all areas of Cloud Recesses, including this pavilion.  ONLY these tokens will allow access to the pavilion.  You will be safe here.”  He explained as he passed the tokens to a Junior to pass out.  “The only people with these tokens are people who know you are alive.”  He said looking directly at Wei Ying.
Yanli squeezed his hand, reminding him that he wasn’t alone.  Lan Zhan had stayed behind to make a show of arriving with Nie Huaisang.
“It’s good to see all of you again.”  Lan Qiren said after the tokens had been passed out.  “Now, if you’ll please.” He ushered the group into the pavilion.
The idea was simple enough, but Wei Ying was finding it more difficult by the minute to hold his panic at bay.  They had snuck him into the receiving line, next to Lan Zhan, with an invisibility talisman.  He held onto Lan Zhan’s wrist that was planted behind his back, and every time he recognized an aroma, he would squeeze Lan Zhan’s wrist.  Lan Zhan would then look over to Nie Huaisang and the name of the cultivator would be written down.
He felt like he was about to collapse when he felt a hand grab his other wrist and started sending him calming waves of spiritual energy.  He looked up and remembered that Sect Leader Lan was next to him.  He had hidden what he was doing behind his own back, but he smiled gently, letting Wei Ying know he was safe.
I am okay
I am safe
I can do this
They don’t know I’m here
It had been Sect Leader Lan’s idea to combine the confrontation with Jin Guangyao with helping to root out everyone who had violated Wei Ying in Koi Tower.  The receiving line was the perfect opportunity to parade the entirety of the cultivation world in front of Wei Ying.  Of course, not everyone would show up, but they could be tracked down and checked later.
“Ah Hanguang-Jun.  It’s nice to see you back and attending events!”  Sect Leader Yao greeted, sounding more judgmental than pleasant.
Wei Ying’s head started to spin and he gripped so hard on Lan Zhan’s wrist that he was worried he might break it.  The Sect Leader’s distinct smell was triggering a whole bunch of bad memories.
Lan Zhan bowed to the sect leader, but did not reply. He broke his wrist free of Wei Ying’s grasp and took his hand in his instead.  He squeezed back, and sent him waves of spiritual energy.  Even with both Lan brother’s feeding him calming spiritual energy, Wei Ying was having a hard time staying in the present and holding off his panic.
“I trust that your Sect Leader has properly re-educated you, now that the rabid dog is no longer around to lead you astray.”
He knew.
He called me that.
I can’t do this.
Tears were streaming down his face and he knelt down, his legs no longer willing to hold him.  The Lan brothers kept hold of his hand and wrist, managing to gracefully continue to hide it behind their backs by closing ranks in front of Wei Ying.
“Sect Leader Yao, you will find that we have set up a reception area with refreshments for our guests.” Sect Leader Lan diplomatically gestured with is free hand to move Sect Leader Yao along.
Luckily, the Yao delegation was the last one to arrive that day, so Lan Qiren gracefully slid over to help shield Lan Zhan as he turned and picked up Wei Ying and carried him inside the main hall.  Lan Zhan removed the talisman that was making Wei Ying invisible, and cradled him to his chest as Wei Ying sobbed.
“He-he…called me that…”  Wei Ying managed to choke out.
“In Koi Tower?” Lan Zhan asked gently.
Wei Ying nodded and clung tighter to Lan Zhan.
Lan Zhan placed a kiss on Wei Ying’s forehead.  “He will be punished.”
Wei Ying was only aware that they were not alone with Lan Xichen began playing is xiao for him.
“Wei Ying did so well.  Wei Ying is strong.  Wei Ying is brave.”  Lan Zhan continued to whisper a litany of affirmations into the top of Wei Ying’s head as he rocked him.
In the past, Wei Ying had refused to allow anyone to see any side of him other than happy and confident.  He had only broken down when he was alone, or with his Shijie.  He felt like his emotions weren’t important, and could be delt with later.  He needed to make sure everyone else was safe, protected, and happy.  It felt nice to be taken care of.  To be able to be safe and protected as he broke down.  He knew that this would all be over soon.  He just needed to get through the next couple of days, then he could go hide in a pile of bunnies for as long as he wanted.
Nie Huaisang watched Lan Zhan’s face like a hawk.  Every time he made eye contact, he would flick them down to a cultivator, then Nie Huasiang knew to write that person’s name down.  He knew something was wrong when he saw the slight look of distress on Lan Zhan’s face when Sect Leader Yao was in front of him.  Nie  Huaisang put a star next to the Sect Leader’s name after he wrote it down.  That one would probably deserve some, special, attention.
He saw the Twin Jades of Lan step closer together, and the Lan Sect Leader motion to get rid of Sect Leader Yao.  When Lan Qiren swooped in he knew that Wei Ying must be in some serious distress.  He motioned for one of his spies.  “Follow Sect Leader Yao.  Make sure he doesn’t…disappear…”
Lan Xichen took a deep breath before entering the Hanshi.  Jin Guangyao was inside, unaware of what was going on behind the scenes.  No matter how many times his heart tried to tell him that he should just ASK, that there might be a perfectly reasonable explanation, his brain told him that no, Jin Guangyao had LIED to him, to his face, multiple times.  It had already been proven, just by Wei Ying’s existence alone.  Then it had been backed up by the existence of Wen Ning, and the testimony of his sworn brother.
He opened the door and put one of his own carefully practiced smiles on his face.  Two could play at this game.
“Er-ge!” Jin Guangyao smiled back at him.  Xichen wondered if it was genuine, or fake.  Does he love me?  Or was it all part of the plan.
“The guests have finished arriving for the day.”  Xichen said, as he sat down for tea.
“Have I thanked you yet, Er-ge?  For having the coronation here?  It means so much more to have it recognized by the Lan Sect.”  Jin Guangyao cooed, this time it made Xichen’s skin crawl.  He could do this.  He just had to endure for a couple more days.  A small price to pay considering all he had unknowingly been a party to.
Jiang Cheng arrived late and without fanfare.  He didn’t want to be there in the first place.  He’d just lost the last of the people who ever mattered to him in the world and he’d rather not be there to watch Jin Guangyao take Jin Ling’s spot as Sect Leader, officially.
He was heading to the guest quarters, he knew where they were, when he was stopped by Lan Wangji’s kid, Lan Sizhui.
“Sect Leader Jiang.” The boy bowed respectfully.  “Please, follow me.  We’ve prepared rooms for you elsewhere.  I’m sure you’ll find it more comfortable, as it is away from the other guests.”
“I wasn’t planning on causing trouble.” Jiang Cheng mumbled as he followed the Lan Junior.
“I apologize Sect Leader Jiang, my intentions were not clear.  Baba thought that since you have suffered a terrible loss recently, you would find comfort in the new pavilion that we’ve built, on the back mountain.”  The Lan Junior handed him a jade token.  “This will grant you entry to the pavilion.  Only those with tokens may enter.”
“Is Lan Wangji worried I’m about to have a Qi Deviation?  So he’s putting me in seclusion?”
“The possibility has crossed his mind, but we are trying to be as gentle as possible to avoid that.”
“What?!”
Before Jiang Cheng could press the Junior further, he had found himself at the gate of the new pavilion.
“I would suggest taking a few deep breaths Sect Leader, before I open the gates.”  The Junior advised.  When it was clear that Jiang Cheng was going to do no such thing, the Junior opened the gates anyway with a sigh.
Jiang Cheng’s legs gave out from underneath him and he had to be caught by Lan Sizhui.  He was staring at his Shijie, her husband, and their son.
When did I die?
I don’t remember it.
Was it in my sleep?
“A-Cheng!”
“Uncle!”
They ran to him to help him up and into the pavilion.  He stared at them dumbly as they dragged him into the courtyard and set him on the grass.
“Oh A-Cheng.  I’m so sorry we had to keep this from you.”  Yanli cried as she pulled him into a hug.  His brain was having trouble processing anything.  Over her shoulder, the peacock was smiling at him with a gentle knowing look.
“Take your time.  It’s a lot to take in.”  The peacock told him.
“But you’re NOT DEAD, just to be clear.  I thought so too when I first found out.”  Jin Ling pulled Jiang Cheng’s attention away from the peacock.
Nie Huaisang walked over and held his hand out.  “Will you allow me to hold Zidian while they explain it to you?  We don’t want anyone getting accidentally hurt.”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 40
………Qinghe………
Wei Ying woke up cleaned, in fresh clothing, and snuggled in his husband’s arms in bed.  He wondered how he had ever gotten so lucky.
“How does Wei Ying feel?” Lan Zhan asked, realizing he was awake.
“Mmmmmm, I feel warm, and fluffy.” Wei Ying purred.
Lan Zhan planted a kiss on the top of his head.  “Would Wei Ying like to eat?”
Wei Ying nodded his head, then felt himself being scooped up in Lan Zhan’s arms, and carried through the curtains, across the bridge, and around the privacy screens, and set at the table.  The food had already been laid out for them, so Wei Ying dug in.  A-Sang was right, good sex DID require more food to keep up his energy.
“So, your brother came to see me yesterday.”  Wei Ying said, making Lan Zhan almost choke on what he was eating.
“Don’t worry, we didn’t talk about YOU.  He wanted to apologize to me, which I told him was COMPLETELY unnecessary.”  Wei Ying continued, but he HAD noticed that he had managed to fluster Lan Zhan.
“He must have been present for the interrogation, because he mentioned…things…”  Wei Ying trailed off, sounding lost in thought.
“He was.  Left before the punishment.” Lan Zhan confirmed.
“Will he be staying to help with the ritual?”
“We haven’t actually talked.  I will ask if I see him.”
The barely made it back behind the privacy screens before going another round that morning, Lan Zhan having Wei Ying pinned on the bridge.  And then yet another round was had before they made it to the bath.  At this rate Wei Ying was wondering if THEY would even make it to the ritual.
A-Sang wouldn’t lace the room with aphrodisiacs…
Would he?
This time, instead of waiting for Nie Mingjue to wake as a fierce corpse on his own, like it happened with Wen Ning, they intended to wake him up themselves and attempt to control the situation. Lan Xichen and Lan Zhan were ready with their xiao and guqin.  Mo Xuanyu stood behind Wei Ying, ready to pass him resentful energy, and Wei Ying stood ready with Chenqing.  Nie Huaisang was by his brother’s side, ready to remove the talismans.
“Is everyone ready?”  Wei Ying asked.  “We all know what to do?  It’s going to get chaotic, but just remember, Lan Zhan and I have done this before.  Whatever happens, nobody panic.”
Everyone affirmed that they were ready, and Wei Ying brought Chenqing to his lips.  Mo Xuanyu started to pass him resentful energy, and Nie Huaisang began to remove the talismans on his brother’s body.
The roar was impressive.  Wei Ying couldn’t help but think that Nie Mingjue was a good choice for a fierce corpse.  He played a long note from Chenqing, fueled by resentful energy to control the raging corpse, while Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen played a few notes to subdue.
The Lan brothers picked up their pace as Nie Mingjue roared and knocked Nie Huaisang aside as he lunged from the bed.  Wei Ying drew more resentful energy from Mo Xuanyu and managed to stop Mingjue’s advance.  He dropped to his knees and let out a roar so deafening that it shook the room.  The Lan brothers increased the force of their attacks as Nie Mingjue wrapped his arms around his head and screamed.
Wei Ying had to grab Nie Huaisang and stop him from running to his brother out of instinct as he crumpled under the musical attack.  “Not yet.”  He said to a struggling Nie Huaisang.
“Gege!” Nie Huaisang wailed.
“…A-Sang…?”
Immediately, the Lan brothers stopped and silenced their instruments.  Wei Ying let go of Nie Huaisang and he rushed to his brother’s side.  He collapsed into sobs as he flung his arms around his brother.
Nie Mingjue looked up and around the room in confusion, when his eyes landed on Wei Ying and Mo Xuanyu, still surrounded by a few whips of resentful energy, his eyes darkened.
“Wait Nie-xiong.  Please, let me explain.”  Lan Xichen said quickly.  “Masters Wei and Mo here only used resentful energy to help bring you back.  It’s a long story, but it was necessary.”
Lan Zhan slid cautiously in front of the two, blocking them from Nie Mingjue’s view, and began slipping them both spiritual energy to balance out the resentful energy.  Mo Xuanyu’s legs gave out in exhaustion and the three slipped to the floor.  Wei Ying pulled Mo Xuanyu into a comforting embrace as Lan Zhan continued to pass them spiritual energy.
“You did so well A-Xuan.”  Wei Ying soothed.  “It’s okay, rest now.  You did so well.”
Wen Qing and Wen Ning entered, and went directly to examine Nie Mingjue.  “Welcome back Chifegn-Zun.”  She said while checking him over.  “I can imagine that this all has come as a great shock to you, so if you have any questions, my brother and I are here to assist you in adjusting to your new, situation.”
“And what, IS this new, situation?”  Nie Mingjue growled.
“Gege, don’t be mad, please.” Nie Huaisang whined.
“Nie-xiong, you died and there was a failed attempt to turn you into a fierce corpse.”  Xichen said gently.
“Jin Guangyao.”  Nie Mingjue spat.
“It seems that his father ordered him to kill you.  He wanted to turn you into a fierce corpse like Wen Ning.” Xichen confirmed sadly.
“As if just ANYONE can make another fierce corpse like Wen Ning.”  Wei Ying muttered.
Xichen smiled kindly.  “Jin Guangshan had captured and imprisoned Young Master Wei, in an attempt to coerce him into telling him how to create another Wen Ning.  He also experimented on his son, Young Master Mo here.”
“Gege, they refused to help Jin Guangshan, but they have been working VERY hard to bring you back now that they’ve been freed.”  Nie Huaisang said earnestly, trying to calm his brother’s rage.
Nie Mingjue sat for a minute.  “So, I’m now at the mercy of the whim of any demonic cultivator?”
Wen Ning bowed “Chifegn-Zun, if I may, it takes a particularly powerful resentful energy cultivator to take control of my body without the mind control nails inserted, or the use of either the Yin Iron or the Stygian Tiger Seal .  I follow Wei-gonzi’s commands because I want to, not because he makes me.  We are not the mindless fierce corpses you are used to.”
“Please don’t be mad Gege.  I couldn’t let him get away with it.  I missed you so much.”  Nie Huaisang buried his head in his brother’s chest.
“So, when are we going to kill that Jin bastard?” Nie Mingjue growled.
“Your brother has been collecting evidence and building a case against him, but until now, we haven’t been able to connect anything directly to him.”  Xichen explained calmly.  “However, we recently heard Xue Yang’s testimony, so that, combined with the testimonies of Young Masters Mo and Wei, your testimony, and Jin Zixuan, we should have enough to convict.”
“Hold on, you ALSO brought back Jin Zixuan? What are you, building a new Ghost General army?”
“No, your brother saved Jin Zixuan before he was killed.  It was a body double who died in the Qiongqi Path ambush.”  Xichen explained.
“What?!”
“All right, that’s enough.  Everyone out.  He needs to rest.” Wen Qing ordered.
Lan Zhan helped Wei Ying and Mo Xuanyu get to their feet.  Wei Ying passed off Mo Xuanyu to Lan Xichen with a bow and found Lan Zhan wrapping around him and leading him to the teleportation talismans.  He was suddenly feeling a little weak himself.  Apparently the ritual and energy passing had taken more out of him than he had realized.  In an instant they were back in their rooms and Lan Zhan scooped him up and carried him behind the screens.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 39
………Qinghe………
Wei Ying heard a faint knock on the door.
“Wei-gonzi, this is Lan Xichen, may I speak with you?”  Lan Xichen sounded, upset.
Wei Ying left the blanket draped over his shoulders as he padded over the bridge, around the screens and slid open the door.  Wei Ying turned from closing the door and saw that Xichen was blowing deeply to him.
“I must apologize to you Wei Wuxian.  I have wronged you greatly.”  Xichen said, his voice filled will deep feeling.
“Aiya, stand up, come sit down.  No need for this.”  Wei Ying quickly went to raise Xichen up, but he refused to rise up from the bow.
“I’ve failed so many people in my blindness.  How could I have ignored everyone else? How could I have ignored all the signs?  Instead I just listened to his words and people have suffered greatly for it.”
“We’re talking about…Jin Guangyao…right?”  Wei Ying winced when he said the name. He placed a hand on Xichen’s shoulder.  “Look, the guy is a smooth talker and has a convincing smile.  He’s fooled a lot of people into doing a lot of things.  You certainly are in good company.”
“He used his relationship with me to gain access to the Lan private library and steal a technique to use to kill our sworn brother.  That is MY fault.  I let that happen.”  Xichen finally met Wei Ying’s eyes.
“Yeah, that was bad.  But I can fix it!”  Wei Ying smiled.  “As long as you promise to stop this bowing nonsense and have some tea with me.”
“I do not deserve your kindness Wei Wuxian.  I have done you great harm as well.”  Xichen protested.
“You and the entirety of the cultivation world, but you didn’t rape me, so let’s just call it water under the bridge, okay?”  Wei Ying joked.
Xichen stood up and marveled at Wei Ying for a few seconds.  “How can you still be so much…like yourself?  How can you be so forgiving?”
Wei Ying shrugged.  “I don’t know how to be any other way I guess.”
Xichen sat down at the table and poured two cups of tea.  “I don’t know what to do now.  How am I supposed to act?  What am I supposed to say?  I don’t even know how I FEEL.”
“That sounds familiar.”  Wei Ying hummed as he took a sip of tea.  “Try coming back from the dead.”
“I feel awful because I still love him.”  Xichen whispered.
Wei Ying let that sink in.  “I guess you need to figure out if it’s him you love, or the person he’s projected for you that you love.”
“But how can I love either anymore?  He’s done awful, terrible things.”
“I also did awful, terrible things, and Lan Zhan still loves me.”
Xichen sighed.  “I have quickly come to realize that you doing what you had to do to survive and help us win a war is FAR different then what A-Yao has done.”
“Well, then you are the newest member in a VERY small club.”  Wei Ying muttered.
“So it would seem.” Xichen replied.
When Lan Zhan returned to their rooms, he found Wei Ying playing Chenqing by the lotus pond water fall.  Wei Ying stopped playing and ran up to him after he crossed the bridge, throwing his arms around Lan Zhan’s neck and pulling him into a tight hug.
“Missed you.”  Wei Ying hummed into Lan Zhan’s neck.
Lan Zhan gently squeezed Wei Ying tightly to him, letting his husband’s warm body pressing against his drive away all the residual rage he had from earlier.
“Let’s get you into a bath.”  Wei Ying said has he tried to pull away, but Lan Zhan continued to hold him tightly, so they awkwardly shuffled over to large soaking tub, and fell ungracefully into it when they arrived.
“Lan Zhan!”  Wei Ying yelled out in shock.  “I can’t believe you just DID that!”  He rubbed his face on Lan Zhan’s shoulder to try to get the wet hair out of his face.
“Was faster this way.  Do not want to let Wei Ying go.”  Lan Zhan said as if it was the most logical thing in the world.  Lan Zhan rolled them so he was laying on top of Wei Ying, pressing him into the side of the tub.  He pressed his forehead against Wei Ying’s, panting slightly.  He could feel Wei Ying’s breath against his face, warm and comforting.
“When I said a bath, I meant for you to unwind.”  Wei Ying quietly breathed out.
Lan Zhan reached one hand up and removed his forehead ribbon.  “There, it’s unwound.”
Wei Ying rolled his eyes.  “There you go, purposely misunderstanding me again.”
“Mn” Lan Zhan hummed and rolled his hips against Wei Ying’s growing arousal.  “Wei Ying likes it when I tease.”
Lan Zhan brushed his lips against Wei Ying’s, and when they parted he shoved his tongue inside.  He took his time, as if the only thing that mattered in the world was pleasuring Wei Ying’s mouth.  Wei Ying moaned and tilted his head back, letting Lan Zhan devour his mouth.  Lan Zhan snaked an hand up to rest on the side of neck, firmly holding the base of his head in the back, his thumb resting at the base of his neck.
When Lan Zhan pressed down slightly with his thumb, Wei Ying let out a sigh and his body started to quiver.  “Lan Zhaaaaan” Wei Ying breathed out a contented moan.  Lan Zhan used his other hand to open up Wei Ying’s robes, and pull his hardening cock out of his trousers.
“Mine.”  Lan Zhan growled as he began to stroke Wei Ying.  He captured Wei Ying’s moan with his mouth.  He slowly stroked Wei Ying to climax, taking his time to relish every moan and cry of pleasure he got out of Wei Ying.
Once Wei Ying had finished, Lan Zhan carefully undressed him and piled the wet clothes on the floor.  He removed his own clothes and reached for soap and cloth and began cleaning Wei Ying.
Lan Zhan laid a towel on the ground and lifted Wei Ying out to sit on top of it as he dried him off.  Once he had finished he quickly dried himself and dressed in fresh under robes.  He picked up Wei Ying and carried him over to the chest of toys and set him on the ground.  He opened up the chest and took stock.
“What is Lan-er-gege going to DO to me?”  Wei Ying cooed, sounding drunk.
Lan Zhan leaned over and put his mouth to Wei Ying’s ear.  “Pick a toy.”  He said in a low voice.
Wei Ying licked his lips and bent over to look into the chest.  Something apparently caught his eye, because he reached out and was running his fingers over a device that had a small handle, and a disk with sharp looking spikes poking out along the edges.  Wei Ying tested the spikes with his fingers, then picked it up and rolled it over the palm of his hand.  He turned to Lan Zhan and his eyes were wide and he had a soft smile on his face.  “This one.”
“Mn” Lan Zhan closed the lid of the chest and picked up Wei Ying, who was clutching the toy, and carried him over to the high table.  He set Wei Ying on the table and held out his hand.  Wei Ying handed it to him, looking almost embarrassed.  Lan Zhan tried it out on his own palm.  He was surprised to find that it didn’t hurt, like it looked like it did.  But a few seconds after the spike had indented the skin, the area was tingle, a tingle that was warm, and cause blood to flow right to his groin.
“Does Wei Ying remember his colors”
“Yes!”
Lan Zhan gently laid Wei Ying on his back on the table, he took his forehead ribbon and wrapped it around Wei Ying’s wrists and placed them over his head.  He picked up the wedge shaped pillow and put it under Wei Ying’s knees, then tied both his ankles with the silk ties attached to the table legs.  He then tied the two ties attached to the other legs around Wei Ying’s elbows.
“Green” Wei Ying moaned as Lan Zhan bent down to kiss him deeply.
Lan Zhan picked up the toy, and began slowly rolling it over Wei Ying’s body, looking for sensitive areas.  He was rewarded with a particularly good response when he ran it up Wei Ying’s side, so he continued to concentrate in that area, varying small passes with long ones, watching Wei Ying squirm.  Another good area was the underside of the arms.  The inside of his thighs, and the area just above his leaking cock had Wei Ying crying out.
He gave Wei Ying’s cock a couple gentle strokes, then moved to the end of the table to Wei Ying’s feet.  Wei Ying tried to jerk his foot away when Lan Zhan touched it with the toy.
“Color?”
“Green”
“Mn”
He grabbed hold of Wei Ying’s ankle and continued to torture the sole of his foot, causing him to buck and squeal.  Of course, he did the same to the other foot.  He moved back to the side of the table, and tapped the handle of the toy lightly against Wei Ying’s cock, as a question.
“Green” Wei Ying breathed out.
“Tell me if it’s too much pressure” Lan Zhan said, then he lightly rolled the spikes along the underside of Wei Ying’s shaft.
Wei Ying cried out and bucked his hips into the air.  “More, more please.  That’s so good. Please Lan-er-gege”
Lan Zhan continued to explore the shaft with the toy as Wei Ying writhed on the table.  After a bit he firmly grasped Wei Ying in one hand, and gently rolled the spikes over the tip, causing Wei Ying to keen.  He ran the toy over the tip over and over, until he saw Wei Ying’s balls draw up and his breath caught, and he climaxed, spilling all over his stomach.
Lan Zhan reached for a bottle of oil and slicked up his fingers and was inside Wei Ying’s opening, stretching him before he came down from his high.  Wei Ying moaned and writhed obscenely on the table as Lan Zhan pumped into him with his fingers.
“I need more.  Please.”
“Wei Ying will take what I give him.”
Lan Zhan removed his fingers and Wei Ying whined until he slammed his cock into him, all the way to the hilt, causing Wei Ying to scream.  Lan Zhan proceeded to pound into Wei Ying at a punishing pace as Wei Ying yelled out obscene references to his size.  As he drilled into Wei Ying, he planted bruises all along Wei Ying’s collar and neck, earning him moans and cries from Wei Ying.
As he felt himself getting close he bit down on the soft skin at the base of Wei Ying’s neck and slammed into the spot that made Wei Ying’s toes curl.  They both ended up climaxing together.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 38
………The Conversation Room………
********Last chance to go pet some bunnies instead***************
It took what seemed like forever for Lan Zhan to get to 1,825 strokes.  He had to wait for Xue Yang to stop screaming after each stroke to choke out a number.  He needed to take a break, and dinner had been brought in at some point, so he walked back over to the instrument wall.  He picked out the wooden pyramid block.  He set it on the floor, in front of the post that Xue Yang was initially tied to.
“Put him on it.”  He said to the guards.  They quickly went to untying Xue Yang and dragging his now limp body off the table.  They pried his battered ass cheeks apart and slid him down onto the pyramid.  Xue Yang cried out as it stabbed up into him, stretching him wider the further he slid down.  The guards quickly tied him to the post so he couldn’t stand back up again.
“Don’t go down too far, or you’ll start ripping your tender hole apart.”  Nie Huaisang warned from the table.  Already they could see trickles of blood running down the wooden pyramid.  They left him like that as the finished their meal, and through tea afterwards.
“Back up on the table, like before.”  Lan Zhan ordered.  The guards yanked Xue Yang off of the pyramid, causing him to scream.  As they were positioning him on the table, Lan Zhan went back to the instrument wall.  This time he picked out a box of needles, and a paddle.
He walked back over to Xue Yang and took a minute to look at his previous work.  While the skin was definitely abused, he had managed to avoid breaking it, there were just angry welts forming along his ass, thighs, and balls.  The only blood he saw was leaking from his hole, which was due to his own lack of ability to hold himself up.
Lan Zhan opened the box of needles and selected one.  Without warning, he slowly pressed one into one of the abused balls, down about halfway.  Xue Yank shrieked and bucked and shook.  Lan Zhan let him go through all of the experience, and come to some sort of new calm, before inserting another needle.  By the time he got to the fourth needle, Xue Yang was finally begging him for mercy.
“Did you show Wei Ying or Mo Xuanyu any mercy?”  Lan Zhan asked without emotion, then he inserted another needle.
Lan Zhan continued until all 30 of the needles that were in the box were inserted into Xue Yang’s balls.  Lan Zhan remembered people telling stories about how Wei Ying was tortured with needles under his fingernails.  How his abusers would flick them to get him to scream for them.  He ran a finger gently over the needles sticking out of Xue Yang’s balls.  The shrieking was so loud that Nie Huaisang had gone over and gotten a gag that was a large ball shape, and shoved it in Xue Yang’s mouth to block some of the noise.
Lan Zhan was fascinated by the needles.  He would flick random ones, at random intervals, or drag his finger along them, drawing out characters.  He wrote Wei Ying’s name over and over, as if he was claiming those screams for his husband.
He picked up the paddle and started to lightly tap the heads of the needles at a steady rhythm, Xue Yang screaming into the gag with every tap.
How many times did he make Wei Ying beg for this torture?
To break him so he begged for unimaginable pain.
I should have made him beg me to do this to him.
Lan Zhan started to hit the needles harder, driving them further in with every stroke.  Slowly, he pounded them all the way through the balls, and they started to hit against the wood of the humbler.  That brought out an even more interesting noise from Xue Yang.
Is this what he meant by intoxicating screams?
Did he make Wei Ying make these noises?
Lan Zhan continued until Nie Huaisang, who had been paying attention to Xue Yang’s face, signaled him to stop.
“You don’t want to let him to get lost in his mind.” Nie Huaisang warned, as Lan Zhan sat back down at the table.
“Mn”
“Dump a bucket of water on him.” Nie Huaisang ordered.  Once it was done, he drew up a talisman, and Xue Yang began to shiver uncontrollably.  “Putting him on ice for a bit.”
“It isn’t that I’m not enjoying the show, but are you planning on killing him?”  Nie Huaisang asked.
“Haven’t decided how yet.”  Lan Zhan replied.
Nie Huaisang waved his hand, removing the talisman from Xue Yang.  “Looks like he’s ready to continue. Dump two buckets of boiling water on him to help warm him up.”  He ordered the guards.
The sizzling sound of the water hitting his skin was quickly drowned out by Xue Yang’s screaming.  Lan Zhan untied Xue Yang and repositioned him, threading the rope through the ring in his shoulder, and the rope attached to his other wrist through an eye hook in the ceiling.  He pulled them through until Xue Yang’s upper body was off the table, then he tied them off.  He wrapped another rope around Xue Yang’s ankles and threaded it through the same eye hook.  He pulled the rope through until the only part of Xue Yang’s body still on the table was his ass and his trapped balls.
Xue Yang let out little whimpers as he rocked back and forth on the needles in his balls.  Lan Zhan wrapped a second rope around Xue Yang’s ankles and tied both ends to the table legs, holding his feet steady.  He then used twine to tie the big toes together.
He walked back over to the instrument wall.  He picked up various canes and whips and paddles, then returned to Xue Yang.  He started with the whip he had started with earlier, the one with the straight leather strips.  He beat Xue Yang’s soles mercilessly, drunk on the cries of pain from both the whip and the force of the blows causing him to rock back and forth on his balls, agitating the needles.
Once Lan Zhan was satisfied that Xue Yang had gotten used to the pain, he stopped, and switched to the whip with the braids and knots.  It didn’t take long for Xue Yang’s cries to turn to sobs and Lan Zhan rained down brutal hits to the soles of his feet.
Lan Zhan felt himself tiring.  So he stopped and handed the first whip to a guard.  “Beat his cock.”  He ordered, as he went to go sit with Nie Huaisang again and watch.  Xue Yang wailed and screamed as the guard rained down hits to his cock, which was trapped between his legs and laying exposed on his stomach.  He writhed from side to side, trying to avoid the blows, which resulted in shrieks of pain as he was rolling on the needles in his balls.
The first guard began to tire, so Lan Zhan ordered another guard to take over, this time with the second whip.  A servant arrived with snacks, which Lan Zhan was grateful for.  Nie Huaisang motioned for the guards that were not currently administering Xue Yang’s punishment to join them for refreshments.
Once the second guard tired, Lan Zhan motioned for him to join the others at the table.  He walked over to Xue Yang and ran his hand over the abused soles, causing Xue Yang to whimper and squirm to get away.  Lan Zhan picked up a paddle.  It was curved, and had wooden blunt spikes.  He gave a sharp smack to the soles.  He was rewarded with a loud shriek from Xue Yang.  He picked up a flat paddle with his other hand, and laid it on top of Xue Yang’s cock.  He began alternating hits between the two, one to the feet, then one to the cock.
Once Lan Zhan was satisfied that Xue Yang had grown used to the abuse, he stopped and lightly ran his fingers over the souls, causing Xue Yang to squeal and buck.  He picked up a knobby cane and began to rain down hard hits against the souls.
He’d stopped hearing the screams at some point, they were still being drawn out, he just wasn’t registering them anymore.  He was focused on watching the skin indent as he hit it with the cane, the blow causing Xue Yang’s whole body to rock, absorbing the shock, and then the mark left behind turning from white to an angry red.  Over and over.
Once he was satisfied, he had the guards move Xue Yang over to the cross and tie him with his back exposed.  Lan Zhan sat back at the table and wrote out a note and handed it to the guard.  “Please bring this to the blacksmith.”  He then went over to the instrument wall and picked out the discipline whip.
“Lets see how many hits it takes to kill you.”  He said emotionless.
It took 23 strikes before Lan Zhan decided that he should stop and knit the skin back together on Xue Yang’s back.  Lan Zhan let Xue Yang rest a bit before going for another round.  This time he made it for 25 strikes.  He repeated the process until his arm started to tire.
*************Seriously gross incoming*****************
The guard returned with a large looking spit.  “Set it up over the coals.”  Lan Zhan ordered.  Once it was done, Lan Zhan got up to inspect. He nodded, “Good, now tie him to the pole.”
Xue Yang shrieked and struggled as the guards dragged him over to the spit, and tied his arms and legs to it, like they would a roast.  He didn’t stay on his back for long, because the pole wasn’t very wide, he ended up rolling over so he was staring at the glowing coals.
Lan Zhan moved back to the table and sat down.  Since there were no flames, just coals, this was going to take a while.  He watched with an impassive face as Xue Yang screamed and struggled to free himself.  As the skin of his chest began to turn red, then darken further.  He was being roasted alive.  By the time the skin of his stomach cracked open he was wailing in pain. When the fat that was underneath the skin began to melt and fall into the coals, flames flared up, scorching his cock and face, which were dangling down towards the coals.
Lan Zhan and Nie Huaisang sat and watched as Xue Yang shrieked and wailed, slowly being cooked to death.  The guards even turned away towards the end, one retching at the smell of cooking meat that was filling the room.  Once Xue Yang stopped making noise Lan Zhan got up to leave.  “When he’s completely melted off the spit, scrape him into a barrel and feed him to the pigs.”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 37
………Qinghe………
When Lan Zhan and Nie Huaisang entered the Conversation Room Lan Xichen, and Masters Xiao and Song were already there.   Xue Yang was already kneeling in the center.  An Iron ring had been attached around his neck, which was chained to post in the center of the room.  His…remaining arm… was shackled to the pole from behind, as well as his ankles, forcing him into the kneeling position.  He laughed when they walked in.
“Well if it isn’t the two LEAST intimidating people they could have POSSIBLY sent.”  Xue Yang laughed.  “It’s a shame Chifeng-Zun had to die.  He would have been MUCH better at this.  Instead I’m stuck with the pathetic little brother who is so inept it’s a miracle his Sect hasn’t fallen to pieces yet.”
Nie Huaisang didn’t rise to the bait.  Instead he sat down at the table and started to serve the tea.
“And you brought a LAN with you, and not just any Lan, the one who is SO famous for following the rules that he had to go hide himself away after he broke them himself.  Am I supposed to believe that the two of YOU are going to come up with anything more interesting than what I’ve been subjected to before?”
Lan Zhan joined Nie Huaisang at the table.  Apparently Xue Yang had already finished insulting the others in the room, because he was ignoring them.
“You know, it would just be better if we came to some sort of deal.  Jin Guangshan was very open to a partnership, rather than trying to use force.  He was interested in demonic cultivation, and I happen to have some experience with it.  Also, he needed someone to help break his bastard boy and the Yiling Patriarch himself.  Something that I was MORE than happy to help him with.”
Xue Yang had a grin plastered on his face.  He laughed again, as if he had said something amusing.  “I’ve been so BORED since his other bastard sent me to guard his boyfriend’s body.  I wonder if you’d let me play with one of my pets again.”
Nie Huaisang clinked his teacup when Xue Yang had said “boyfriend”.  He finally looked over at Xue Yang. Lan Zhan shot a look at his brother, who looked shocked.
“Oh I see, you didn’t know did you?” Xue Yang laughed again.  “That Jin bastard was SO upset that daddy made him kill his lover.  He came to me BEGGING to get out of Wei Ying how he managed to bring back the Ghost General.”  Xue Yang laughed manically.  “It’s just too bad that I had already broken him at that point, so he was useless.”
It was Lan Zhan’s turn to fumble his teacup.
“Have you tried him out yet?  He has the most intoxicating screams.  And he used to beg me so prettily to cane his balls.  It was a shame that he never called out my name though, it was always his Lan Zhan that he screamed for when he climaxed.”
“So, you are working for Jin Guangyao?“ Nie Huaisang finally asked a question.
Xue Yang laughed again.  “I work for no one but myself.  I saw an opportunity to leave the confines of Koi Tower, so I took it.  And, if I may be frank, I’ve been having WAY more fun toying with everyone’s plans.  Who do you think it was who planted your brother’s arm in Mo Manor?  Who do you think it was who convinced Little Master Mo to attempt the Sacrifice Summon?  Do you think that I just LET you find me in Yi City?  I was bored, and wanted to see my pets again.”
Xue Yang shuffled forward a bit, with an earnest look on his face.  “If you don’t want to share the pretty screaming Wei Ying, maybe you’ll let me have the tight virgin boy?  He clenched down SO TIGHT when I-“
Lan Zhan’s teacup shattered because of how hard he was gripping it.  Xichen placed a steadying hand on Lan Zhan’s shoulder.
“…so is that a no?”  Xue Yang asked with a knowing grin.  “I’ll tell you who has the Yin Iron shard…if you let me have a round with either of my pets.”  He bargained.  “Or…let me watch as YOU have a round…”
Lan Zhan was concentrating on his breathing.  He was trying not to give into the rage that was burning through his meridians.  He KNEW Xue Yang was trying to get him to snap, trying to get him to lose control.  He needed to be in control.
“Would you like me to tell you how to get Wei Ying to submit?  He can be a wild one, but by the time I was done with him, he was docile enough to be put on display in the main chamber at Koi Tower.”
How DARE you
I know how easy it is to drop Wei Ying into subspace
I don’t need YOU to tell me this about my husband
Lan Xichen laid a hand on Lan Zhan’s shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze, reminding him to hold onto his control.  “If you’re done saying anything interesting, we shall begin.”  Lan Zhan spoke, and his voice was surprisingly calm and detached.
Masters Xiao and Song, as well as Lan Xichen, took that as their invitation to leave.  So they did.
******************Graphic torture incoming******************
“Strip him and bind him on his back on the table.”  Nie Huaisang ordered the guards.
“Ooooo, so DEMANDING.”  Xue Yang mocked as he was being manhandled.  “Be careful or I may get turned on.”
“Who took the Yin Iron Shard from you at Yi City?”  Nie Huaisang asked.
“Oh no, I gave you my terms SECT LEADER.  I’m not-“  Xue Yang was cut off by a guard pulling a dark cloth down over his mouth and nose.  A second guard tipped a bucket of water, letting a small stream spill out onto the cloth.  They counted for 5 seconds, then stopped pouring water and lifted the cloth.  They let Xue Yang breathe for 5 seconds, then repeated the process.
Xue Yang thrashed in his bindings and made horrible choking noises, but he held up through multiple cycles, refusing to answer Nie Huaisang’s question.
A guard entered the room and bowed.  “The blacksmith is ready.”
Lan Zhan motioned to the guards to stop the waterboarding.  He walked over to the table and slapped a teleportation talisman on Xue Yang.  The entire table vanished.
They met Xue Yang over at the blacksmith, still bound to the table, screaming at the blacksmith petulantly.  The blacksmith had speared an iron ring through Xue Yang’s shoulder, the one that had the arm severed, and was now pounding the hot metal closed, to complete the ring.  Every time his hammer hit, Xue Yang cried out and cursed at the blacksmith.
“You should consider being nicer to him.  He handles sharp, hot metal all day.”  Lan Zhan scolded.
When the blacksmith finished, and doused the metal and shoulder in quenching liquid, Xue Yang let out a long, high pitched scream.  “FUCK!  Fine, it’s Su She.  Su She has the fucking Yin Iron Shard.”
Lan Zhan bent over Xue Yang’s face.  “Now, what that so hard?”  He mocked before slapping another teleportation talisman on him, sending him and the table BACK to the Conversation Room.
“Hold him up on his knees.”  Lan Zhan ordered as he went over to the instrument wall.  He picked out the “humbler”, as was described in the texts.  It was a long piece of wood, about one and a half feet long.  It curved to fit snuggly against butt cheeks, and the center had a three inch long by half inch slit in it.  The wood was actually two pieces, with bolts on either end to tighten the two pieces together.
Lan Zhan walked back over to the table.  He reached between Xue Yang’s legs and pulled his balls back between them.  Nie Huaisang suddenly appeared next to him.  “Let me help.”  He separated the pieces of wood, place one on either side of the stretched skin of Xue Yang’s ball sac.  He then tightened down on the bolts, trapping the balls, exposed, and resting just below Xue Yang’s ass.
Lan Zhan had the guards bend Xue Yang down, so his chest was pressed to the table and his ass was in the air.  He bound Xue Yang’s remaining wrist to his ankle.  He then ran a rope through the newly installed ring at Xue Yang’s shoulder and tied that to the other ankle.
“Fuck, I didn’t realize how DIRTY Lan Disciples really are!”  Xue Yang tried to deflect from the seriousness of the situation as Lan Zhan used more rope to secure Xue Yang to the table.
Now, with Xue Yang’s balls and ass sticking up in the air and exposed,. Lan Zhan was ready to administer the first punishment.
“How many…sessions…did you take to break Wei Ying?”  Lan Zhan asked with no emotion, as if he weren’t curious either way about the answer.
“Is the Honorable Hanguang-Jun interested in being my apprentice?  Does this get you all hot and bothered?”  Xue Yang mocked.
“You’d better just give him a number.  It’s going to be a LONG night if you don’t.” Nie Huaisang warned.
“Oh!  What’s the little discipline Lan going to do?  Cloud Recesses doesn’t have anything more exciting than a discipline whip.”  Xue Yang laughed.
“How many sessions did you take to break Wei Ying?”  Lan Zhan repeated his question.
“Do you want when he first begged me to cane him in the balls, or when he finally was eager to do everything he was told in the Main Hall of Koi Tower?”  Xue Yang asked, sounding serious.  “Because there are different levels of breaking a person.”
Lan Zhan took a couple deep breaths to steady himself.  “Both”.
“Well, if you want to get technical, he finally broke and begged to climax after about 200 days without release.  Then I think it was somewhere around 3 years in that he finally begged me to cane his balls without being prompted.  And it only took about 2 years after that to get him fully trained for his position in the Main Hall.”  Xue Yang bragged as if he was describing training a horse.
“Do your worst Han-gu-ang-Jun.”  Xue Yang mocked.
Lan Zhan walked back over to the wall.  He saw a whip, that looked horse tail in length, with long leather strips instead of hair.  He chose it and went back to the table.
“You will count, or I will start again.  Will not finish until you reach 200. For the number of sessions to make Wei Ying beg for relief.”  Lan Zhan ordered.  He then drew the whip back and struck Xue Yang’s exposed ass.
Nie Huaisang sat back at the table and sipped at his tea as Lan Zhan mercilessly whipped Xue Yang.  He was still putting up a brave face at stroke number 50.  At stroke 100 he was starting to show beads of sweat on his face.  At stroke 150 his breath was hitching with every stroke.  By the time they reached 200, he was showing signs of pain on his face.
Lan Zhan walked back over to the wall.  He picked up a whip that looked similar, except this one had braided leather with knots tied along the length in various places, instead of straight lengths of leather.
“You will count.  Will not stop until you reach 1,095. For how long it took to make Wei Ying beg for his own torture.”  Lan Zhan said.  Then he began to strike Xue Yang’s already abused backside with the new whip.  This time Xue Yang was crying out with every strike, and rocking forward with the heavy blows.  Every once in a while, one of the leather strips must have hit his exposed balls, because he would let out a shriek, and his body would seize up.  By the 500th strike, Xue Yang was sobbing into the table.
Once they had reached 1,095, Lan Zhan went to join Nie Huaisang at the table, for some tea.  They watched Xue Yang sob on the table as they finished their cups, not really having anything they wanted to discuss.   Once Lan Zhan was finished, and Xue Yang had calmed down, he walked back over to the table, and drew out a talisman, stopping Xue Yang from losing consciousness.  He then went back over to the instrument wall.
This time he picked out a thin, bamboo cane, maybe a quarter inch in diameter.  He tested out the feeling in the air a few times, swooshing it back and forth.  Getting the snap of his wrist just right.  He then walked back over to Xue Yang.
“You will count.  Will not stop until you reach 1,825. For how long it took for Wei Ying to give up hope.” Lan Zhan said, again with no emotion.  He laid the cane across Xue Yang’s trapped and exposed balls.  He then drew back and snapped the cane against the exposed balls.
Xue Yang screamed.  Lan Zhan waited until he was sobbing into the table, then hit him again.  This time the scream was louder.
“A scream is not a number.”  Lan Zhan said calmly.
Xue Yang gasped and sobbed and tried to bring himself back under control.  “O-one.”  He cried into the table.
“Mn”  Lan Zhan continued.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 36
………Qinghe………
The second Lan Zhan landed Wen Qing pulled her brother away from him and into an embrace, tears streaming down her face.  The second Sizhui landed Wei Ying was blind-sided by Jin Zixuan pulling HIM into an embrace.
“What the-“ Wei Ying said in shock.
“You saved my son.”  Jin Zixuan said with heavy emotion.  “You saved him and you sent him to us.  Thank you.”
Over Jin Zixuan’s shoulder Wei Ying saw a puffy-faced Jin Ling being squeezed possibly to death by Yanli, equally puffy-faced.
The only thing missing is Jiang Cheng
“I had help.”  Wei Ying protested.
“It was YOUR talisman that saved his life.” Jin Zixuan insisted.  “Stop trying to give away the credit you deserve.”
Huh
Maybe the peacock isn’t so bad
Jin Zixuan release him from the hug and attempted to drag him over to where Yanli and Jin Ling were sitting.
“Oh no, this is a family thing.”  Wei Ying protested.
“And you are family.”  Jin Zixuan firmly replied, tightening his grip and marching them over.
“A-Xian!”  Yanli practically wailed.
Jin Ling looked up in confusion.  “Senior Fu?”
“Jin Ling, this is your uncle, Wei Ying, he’s my brother.” Yanli explained.
“The Yiling Patriarch?!”  Jin Ling’s eyes grew wide.  “We’ve been going on night hunts with the Yiling Patriarch?!  But he kill-“  Jin Ling cut himself off when he realized that it was not longer true, what he was about to say.
“Wei Wuxian was set up.  Someone else wanted everyone to believe that he had turned evil, to cover up what they were doing.” Jin Zixuan gently explained.
“I apologize for lying to you Jin Ling.  It was never my intention to hurt you.”  Wei Ying shifted uncomfortably, looking at the floor.
“Wei Ying has also had a rough time. We should go rest.”  Lan Zhan slid in next to Wei Ying, wrapping an arm around his waist.  Wei Ying took a deep breath in, allowing the smell of sandalwood to calm him.
“Good night Yanli, Jin Ling, peacock.”  Wei Ying gave Jin Zixuan a smirk.  Jin Zixuan returned a soft, knowing smile and shook his head.
“Lan Zhan, where are we going?  Nie Mingjue is in my room.”  Wei Ying whined.
“Obviously there is only ONE room, so we will have to sleep in the kitchen.”  Lan Zhan teased.
“If you wanted to spank me with a wooden spoon, you could have just ASKED.”  Wei Ying teased back, causing Lan Zhan’s ears to go bright red.
“Mn”
“Lan Wangji, Wei Ying!” Nie Huaisang greeted them.  “Follow me, your rooms have been prepared.”  He winked and turned, his robes fluttering behind him.
“Our rooms?”  Wei Ying asked, sounding shocked.
Lan Zhan pressed a kiss into the back of his head as he gently led him, following the Nie Sect Leader.  “It seems that Nie Huaisang has given us an…upgrade…as he put it.”
Nie Huaisang stopped at a door and smiled at them.  “Here we are.”  He said as he slid the door open and gestured from them to enter.
Off to the right was a area set up for tea, just to the left of the door was a low table that a tray had been dropped off with food and drinks for them.  Just ahead, blocking off the reset of the room from view, were three large privacy screens.  The one in the center was forward of the other two, so you could pass between them to get to the other part of the room.
“I’ve taken my inspiration from the lists BOTH of you slipped me, privately.”  Nie Huaisang smiled at them knowingly as he entered behind them.  Lan Zhan’s ears were bright red and Wei Ying felt his face flush.
“If there is anything else that you require, please let me know.  I’ve also set up two teleport talismans between here and my brother’s room, so Wei Ying will have quick access between the two, if he so wishes.”  Nie Huaisang pointed to the left corner of the entrance area.  “Not that you aren’t welcome anywhere in the compound, you are.  It’s just that there are a LOT of people staying here now, and you may feel it necessary to avoid some of the more…prying questions.”
“Lan Wangji, if I could borrow you for some time, there is a…matter…that needs attending to.”  Nie Huaisang said in a low voice.
“Mn”  Lan Zhan gave Wei Ying a comforting squeeze and bent down to his ear.  “Does Wei Ying wish to be present for Xue Yang’s interrogation?”  He asked gently.
Wei Ying shook his head quickly.  “No…just…I don’t want to know…”
Lan Zhan pressed a gentle kiss to his temple and gave him a final squeeze before letting him go.  He followed Nie Huaisang out of the room, leaving Wei Ying to explore on his own.
Wei Ying walked around the middle screen and he felt like he had traveled to a different place.  The room looked like it had been built into the side of the mountain.  On the right there was a waterfall steadily cascading down the rocks into a pool below, and a stream that exited under the rocks that made up the side wall.  The pool stretched across the room, and there was a bridge over the center.  In the pool there were a few lotuses floating, and the whole feature was lit up with the orange flicker of lanterns, like the ones that had decorated Lotus Pier.
Next to the waterfall there was a low table set up for Lan Zhan’s guqin, and he also noticed that Chenqing had been placed there.  Wei Ying was shocked, he thought that Chenqing had been lost, but here it was.
Wei Ying crossed the bridge to the other side of the room.  Long, sheer curtains were draped across the room, dividing the lotus pond from the rest of the room.  As he passed through the curtains, he was hit with the comforting smell of sandalwood.
Much like the room in Koi Tower, there were long, silk bolts of fabric hanging down from the ceiling in various places, and pooling on the floor.  Wei Ying weaved his way through them, in one spot he found a high and long table.  On the floor around it there were pillows of various shapes and sizes such as long circular tube shapes and wedges.  There were long silk ties attached to the legs of the table, pooling onto the floor.
In another spot he found that the silk fabric had been tied already to look like a swing.  He finally found the bed.  It was tucked away in a corner, not far from the large soaking pool sunk into the floor.  The bed had four high posts, located in each corner, and ornate wood carvings branching out from them at the top.  All along the posts and carvings long silk fabric was tied and draped.  As he got closer he noticed fine silk rope was wrapped around the posts as well.
A-Sang, you’re the best.
Wei Ying went back to the large chest that was in the center of the back part of the room.  He opened it up and trays slid up and to the sides automatically.  His eyes almost jumped out of his head and he felt his face flush.  It was filled with jars of oil, jars of lotion, jars of medicine, paddles, canes, clamps, chains, rope, jade pins, plugs, and many other things that he didn’t know what they were, all neatly arranged inside the chest.
“A-Sang!” Wei Ying screeched and slammed the lid back down on the chest.  He launched himself onto a pile of pillows he had found and buried his head in embarrassment.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 35
………Qinghe………
In the end, it was Lan Zhan who offered to test out the talisman first, since he could ride Bichen back if it fell short, which it DID.  They had eventually managed to get the talisman perfected and teleported the whole coffin, along with Wei Ying, Nie Huaisang, and Lan Zhan back into the secure pavilion inside the Nie Compound.
Once there Nie Huaisang instructed some guards to bring the coffin to the room that Wei Ying had used when he was there.  Wei Ying carefully drew out hundreds of talismans, the ones he had used on Wen Ning, then carefully arranged them around the bed.  Once he was satisfied they moved Nie Mingjue’s body to the bed, and Wei Ying covered it with talismans.
“Would it be possible to get Mo Xuanyu here, to help?  I’m not as equipped to work with resentful energy these days.”  Wei Ying asked.
“Mn, anything Wei Ying needs.”  Lan Zhan replied.
“Sect Leader Nie.”  A spy had entered and was bowing to Nie Huaisang.  “Pardon my interruption but I have urgent intel on Sect Leader Jin.”
“Jin Guangyao?” Nie Huaisang practically growled.
“No, the ACTUAL Sect Leader, Sect Leader Jin Ling.”  The spy pointedly corrected.  “There is going to be an assassination attempt.”
“WHAT?!”  Wei Ying suddenly felt like his legs were going to give out.
“Shall I dispatch a body double?  Or are we going to thwart the assassination?”  The spy inquired.
Nie Huaisang sat down, hard, at the table.  “Do we have concrete evidence as to the source of the order?”
“No, Sect Leader.”
Nie Huaisang gave Wei Ying an apologetic look.  “Wei Ying, I know this must be difficult for you, but I think it’s in everyone’s best interests to use a body double, and make it look like the attempt succeeded.  Maybe then we can see who benefits the most, and flush out who is behind ALL of this.”
“If we foiled the assassination attempt, it MAY tip off whoever is behind the scenes that we know what they are up to, and it would put your spies at risk.”  Lan Zhan reasoned.  “Of course, we should ask Jin Ling his opinion, but I think it’s in all our best interests at this time to let whoever ordered the assassination think that it succeeded.”
“Okay…look…how much time do we have to decide?”  Wei Ying looked over at the spy with wide, scared eyes.
“The attack is…imminent.  I believe the next time he leaves Cloud Recesses it will occur.”  The spy responded.
“Okay then, Lan Zhan, let’s go.”  Wei Ying pulled himself together.  “A-Sang, could you tell Jin Ling’s parents that he’ll be coming to visit?”
………Gusu………
Mo Xuanyu, Wei Ying, and Lan Zhan were concealed at a distance off from the site the Juniors were “taking a break” at.  They had chosen the spot.  If the assassin wanted Jin Ling, then THEY were going to control as many variables as possible.
Wei Ying checked, for at least the tenth time, that the talisman was in place that Jin Ling was to teleport to when he activated his, and he checked on the freshly-burned corpse that they were going to send in Jin Ling’s place once the talisman was activated.  Mo Xuanyu had helped him modify the teleport talisman to swap the bodies when activated, so it would look like Jin Ling somehow burned up.  Of course, to help sell that bit, Sizhui is going to have a “spectacular misfire of a talisman”.  A shame really.  Talismans are tricky things…
“Almost time.”  A Nie spy said from behind them, causing Wei Ying to almost jump out of his skin.
“WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!”  He hissed.
“Apologize Wei-gonzi, I am here to bring Sect Leader Jin and Young Master Mo back to the Nie Compound.”
“Over there.”  Lan Zhan murmured, and sure enough, right where he was pointing, Wei Ying could make out a couple of cultivators in Jin robes, hiding.  They had figured that whoever was orchestrating this would send someone to witness the death.
“Well good thing I have THIS little beauty.”  Wei Ying whispered, and threw up his camouflage talisman, casting a dome around them a couple meters wide.  “No making out Lan Zhan, it only blocks people from OUTSIDE from seeing in.”
“Shameless.”  Lan Zhan muttered.
The Juniors jumped to the ready, the assassin had arrived, and it was a fierce corpse.  Wei Ying heard the roar, and saw the figure, but his mind refused to believe it.
“Is that?”  Lan Zhan asked.
“No, it can’t be.  They executed him.”  Wei Ying whispered.  He felt his heart clench in his chest as he watched Wen Ning, in a full mindless rage, attacking the Juniors.
“Do you hear that?” Wei Ying heard the sound of a dizi.  “Someone is controlling him.”
“We can’t, Wei Ying.  We need to stick to the plan.”  Lan Zhan stopped him.
“But it’s Wen Ning!” Wei Ying felt tears pool in his eyes.
“We can’t help him now.  He has to finish his mission.  If the juniors manage to capture him after, then we can help him.  But not before.” Lan Zhan tried to reason with him.
“Wei-gonzi, we are not alone.  There are eyes observing this.”  The Nie spy reminded.
Wei Ying felt a tear fall down his cheek as he watched Wen Ning try to kill the Juniors.
I’m so sorry.
I will rescue you.
I promise.
Just hold on
The battle didn’t last nearly as long as it could have.  The Juniors acted out their parts seamlessly.  Sizhui “missed” with his fire talisman, Jin Ling activated his teleport talisman, the living Jin Ling was replaced with the burned corpse Jin Ling, and it really looked like he had gone up in flames.
Wen Ning stood frozen for a second, clearly the person controlling him wasn’t expecting this turn of events.  Lan Caifu hit him with the stunning talisman and they were about to finish him off when Sizhui stopped them.
“Wait!  Maybe we can find out who’s controlling him.”  Sizhui stopped them.
Wei Ying shot a glance over to where the Jin cultivators had been hiding, and saw that they were gone.  He also no longer heard the dizi.  They had abandoned Wen Ning to the mercy of the Juniors.
They probably assumed he would be killed.
Ha!
“Sect Leader Jin, we must hurry before anyone sees you.” The Nie spy bowed to Jin Ling, who just nodded, looking a little shocked.
“Hey kid, tell my sister I said hi.”  Wei Ying flashed him a grin, before he and Mo Xuanyu were swept away into the dark.  He didn’t even turn to see if Lan Zhan was following him as he rushed over to Wen Ning and the Juniors.
Wen Ning was on his knees, his eyes completely black and unseeing.  The Juniors parted for Wei Ying as he approached.  He sank to his knees in front of Wen Ning, and his hand trembled as he reach behind his head, and felt for the nails that were probably there, inserted so he could be controlled.
Once Wei Ying had removed both nails, he saw that slowly, Wen Ning’s eyes cleared of the black.
“Master Wei?”  Wen Ning questioned innocently.
Wei Ying threw his arms around Wen Ning’s neck and pulled him into a hug.  “I thought you were DEAD.”
“We need to get him back to Qinghe.  Actually, we should ALL go back to Qinghe.  You all have seen to much to be safe anywhere else right now.”  Lan Zhan stated.
“What’s going on?”
“Isn’t that the Ghost General?”
“How does Senior Fu know the Ghost General?”
“Did the Ghost General just call him Master WEI?”
“My name isn’t Fu Ying.  My name is Wei Ying, courtesy name Wei Wuxian.  But you all may have heard of me as the Yiling Patriarch.”  Wei Ying announced.  “Please don’t call my friend the Ghost General.  He really hated that he was force to kill people.”
Sizhui knelt down across from Wen Ning with a look of curiosity.  “I think…I remember you…”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 34
…….Yi City…….
“He’s attacking using resentful energy.”
“We need to stop this”
“No wait!”
“What is that smoke he just blew?”
“Do you see black veins?”
“Corpse poisoning powder?”
“Did he just cut out that guy’s tongue?”
“We need to stop this NOW”
The Juniors launched onto the scene, taking Xue Yang by surprise.  Lan Liliang and Lan Caifu went straight to the bleeding cultivator on his knees, they slapped one of the hybrid teleportation talismans on him and teleported him back to the ridge that Mo Xuanyu and Ouyang Zizhen were posted on.
“Have anything for corpse poisoning?” Ouyang Zizhen asked, assessing the bleeding man quickly.
“Give me a second.”  Mo Xuanyu said and he started scribbling on his talisman paper.
Back in the fight, the Juniors were quickly being overwhelmed because a second cultivator had joined, this one was blind.
Sizhui dodged the blade from the blind cultivator with the help of one of Jihui’s thrown fans, and he spun away from he battle as he shot the signal into the air for help.
Jihui spun in close to the blind cultivator and caught his sword in his fan.  He read the inscription.  “Frostwork?”
“That’s Master Xiao Xingchen’s sword.”
The blind cultivator paused for a brief moment upon hearing his name, which gave the Juniors around him the opportunity to pin a stun talisman on him.
“Please Master Xiao, we are Senior Lan’s Juniors.”
“We aren’t here to fight.”
“We were just trying to stop this man from killing another cultivator.”
“Frostwork sensed a fierce corpse, so I came to help.”  Xiao Xingchen explained, sounding confused.
“Don’t listen to them, these kids are confused.  It WAS a fierce corpse.”  Xue Yang yelled, still engaged with his own set of Juniors.
“He’s lying.”
“He was using resentful energy to fight another cultivator”
“He blew corpse poisoning powder at that cultivator, then cut out his tongue”
“They’re LYING!”  Xue Yang screeched.
“Master Xiao, my name is Lan Sizhui, my father is Lan Wangji, and my uncle is Sect Leader Lan.  I can assure you, we are not lying to you.”  Sizhui bowed, even though Xiao Xingchen couldn’t see it.
“Xue Yang”  Lan Zhan growled as he and Wei Ying landed on Bichen.  He quickly jumped into the fight with Xue Yang, as Wei Ying rushed over to the group of Juniors around Xiao Xingchen.
“Xue Yang?”  Xiao Xingchen asked confused.
“Yep, that bastard is over there currently getting his butt kicked by the Honorable Hanguang-Jun.”  Wei Ying explained.  “What happened to your eyes?”
Xiao Xingchen turned his head towards Wei Ying.  “Have we…met before?”
“No!  Of course not.  At least I don’t think so…I’m nobody, really.” Wei Ying said quickly, and very unconvincingly.
“Master Xiao, this is Senior Fu.  He’s been traveling with Senior Lan.” Sizhui explained, putting some emphasis on the name Fu.
“Senior Fu, we need some help on the ridge.  Corpse Poisoning.”  Ouyang Zizhen yelled.
“On it!”  Wei Ying used a talisman, and not JUST because it was faster.
“I know this all must be very confusing, but I’m sure if you give it a minute, Senior Lan will have gotten Xue Yang under control, then we can sit down and figure out what’s going on.”  Sizhui said gently.
“Excuse me.” A quiet voice said from behind a cart of hay.  “But I can help you with what is going on.”
“A-Qing”  Xiao Xingchen called for her.
“He’s been blowing corpse poisoning powder on people and cutting out their tongues and getting you to kill them.” A-Qing said quickly.  “That cultivator confronted him, and they started fighting.  Apparently you used to know him.”
“Song Lan?” Xiao Xiangchen breathed out.
“Sizhui, we need your spiritual energy up here.  My baby core isn’t cutting it.”  Wei Ying called down.
Sizhui mounted his sword and flew up to the ridge.
Three of the Juniors took up defensive positions around Master Xiao and A-Qing, while the rest went to assist in the battle with Xue Yang.  It was a dizzying scene of spinning robes, flashing swords, tendrils of resentful energy, and flying talismans.
Up on the ridge, Wei Ying was assisting Mo Xuanyu with drawing out the resentful energy threatening to take over Song Lan and turn him into a fierce corpse, while Sizhui was flushing his meridians with his own spiritual energy.  Ouyang Zizhen had managed to stop the bleeding from Song Lan’s mouth and was cradling his head while the others worked.
“You’re going to be okay Master Song.  They are very good at what they do.”  Zizhen tried to comfort the cultivator.
“We are only managing to keep this at bay.  He needs glutenous rice.”  Wei Ying said to Zizhen.
The Junior nodded and mounted his sword to go down into town.  He landed in front of the group of Juniors with Master Xiao.  “Senior Fu says we need glutenous rice to save Master Song.”
“I can get you some.”  A-Qing offered quickly, and ran off towards where she had been living with Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang.
Senior Lan and the rest of the Juniors returned, with Xue Yang in custody.  His arm had been severed at the shoulder.   They forced him to his knees and surrounded him.  He started laughing.
“You think you’ve won?  Do you have any idea how many people you’ve killed Master Xiao?”  Xue Yang mocked.  “Of course they all deserved it.  They were making fun of you for being blind.  Taking advantage of you.  But you killed them all the same.  Turns out you’re just as evil as me.”
“No.  I was tricked, by you actually.  That makes you the evil one in this situation.”  Master Xiao responded calmly.
Xue Yang laughed again.  “I’m not evil, I was just bored. I was here guarding the corpse. Then Xiao Xingchen showed up, and I decided to have a little fun.  And speaking of fun…”
The group from the ridge had just arrived, gently placing Song Lan down next to Xiao Xingchen, who took over passing him spiritual energy.
“I see the great Hanguang-Jun has taken in two of my former pets.”  Xue Yang mocked.
Wei Ying froze stiff and Mo Xuanyu let out a long whine and began to shake.
Before anyone could ask any clarifying questions, a cultivator wearing a ghost mask teleported in, reached into Xue Yang’s robes, pulled out the Yin Iron shard, then teleported back out before anyone could stop him.
A-Qing returned with a steaming bowl and knelt next to Song Lan, and began feeding him the glutenous rice.
Xue Yang laughed again.  “How’s it been going little master Mo?  Do you miss the feeling of my cock splitting your ass open?”
Lan Jihui shoved one of his fans under Xue Yang’s chin and pressed up, drawing a trickle of blood.  Lan Caifu crouched down next to Mo Xuanyu and pulled him into a protective hug.  Lan Zhan placed a hand on Jihui’s shoulder and stared into Xue Yang’s eyes, like a predator.
“Ah, Hanguang-Jun, somehow I doubt you’ve been up to the task of making my little pets squeal in JUST the right way.  I bet they miss me.  They used to beg me you know…especially Wei-“  Lan Zhan hit Xue Yang with the silencing spell.  Nobody needed to hear anything more out of him.
Lan Zhan was about to order everyone back to Cloud Recesses, when Nie Huaisang and two of his spies descended on swords.
“Ah, I see our paths have converged yet again, Lan Wangji.”  Nie Huaisang bowed.
Lan Zhan returned the bow.  “Lan Jihui, Lan Liliang, please accompany Sect Leader Nie’s men in escorting the prisoner back to Qinghe.”  He exchanged a knowing look with Nie Huaisang.  They quickly bowed, and disappeared with Xue Yang.
“Masters Xiao and Song, I invite you and the Lady A-Qing to accompany us back to Cloud Recesses for rest and recovery.”  Lan Zhan bowed to them.
“I think that would be wise.”  Xiao Xingchen returned the bow.  The Juniors with swords paired up with those who did not have swords, and those who were injured or otherwise incapacitated, then flew off in the direction of Gusu.
That left Lan Zhan, Wei Ying, and Nie Huaisang alone.
“Follow me.” Nie Huaisang said, wasting no time.
When Lan Zhan kicked off the lid of the coffin, Wei Ying had to physically hold back A-Sang from touching anything.  The coffin was lined with talismans, and Nie Mingjue’s body was perfectly preserved, minus one hand.
“Don’t touch anything.  I recognize those talismans. There keeping the fierce corpse sedated.”  Wei Ying explained.
A-Sang thrashed and cried out in Wei Ying’s arms, but he didn’t let go.  “A-Sang, please, listen to me.  Someone who had access to my notes did this.  It looks like they’re trying to recreate the ritual I used on Wen Ning, to return his consciousness.  But they executed it badly.”
A-Sang stopped thrashing and just collapsed.  Wei Ying went to the ground with him.  “I can fix it.  I promise.  We still have the Stygian Tiger Seal.  I can recreate the ritual correctly.  I know it’s a shock someone turned him into a fierce corpse to begin with.  But I CAN fix this.”
“We need to get the whole coffin, with the body, back to Qinghe.”  Lan Zhan said.
“I think I can make a teleportation talisman that will go that far. Let me give it a try.”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 33
………Cloud Recesses………
The Juniors were having entirely too much fun for being mostly Lans.  Instead of using the talismans on themselves, like Wei Ying had envisioned, they had quickly transitioned into throwing them on each other.  So instead of meeting their enemy to spar, they would be transported off in what looked like a ball of fire, to the spot that they had apparently decided would be the “collection” spot for those that got transported.  Something that usually ended in the Junior who got transported being VERY frustrated, and the others laughing at the absurdity.
Wei Ying turned to Lan Zhan with a look of amazement.  There is NO WAY the Honorable Hanguang-Jun could have trained a group of Juniors who were this rowdy, and who were having this much…FUN.
“They like to…improvise.”  Lan Zhan said calmly, apparently not bothered at all by what the practice had devolved into.
“Improvise?!”  Wei Ying was having trouble processing.  “But, what about all the rules?  There HAS to be a rule against this.  I KNOW there’s at least 12 rules against having fun.”
“No rules against having fun.  Just rules against what Wei Ying considers fun.”  Lan Zhan corrected.
Lan Caifu came running up to where Wei Ying, Lan Zhan, and Mo Xuanyu were seated.  “Gege, do you have any more of those talismans from the other day?  You know, the one that didn’t do what was expected?” She asked with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Mo Xuanyu reached into his sleeve and quickly pulled out some talismans and handed them to her.
“Thanks!”  She chirped.  “You’d better start running Jingyi.  I’m getting you back for that!” She yelled before running back into the fray.
Wei Ying stared at Mo Xuanyu in shock.
“Th-the talisman was sup-supposed to dump water.” He muttered, looking ashamed.  “Instead it-it slimed everyone.”
A moment later Wei Ying heard an angry cry and loud laughter from the group of Juniors.  It appeared that the one called Lan Jingyi had, in fact, been slimed.
Wei Ying joined in the laughter.  “You know.  I thought about doing something like that, back in the day.  I was going to prank my bro-“
Wei Ying cut himself off at the memory.
“I don’t know wh-what happened.  I co-copied the talisman perfectly.”  Mo Xuanyu explained.  “I didn’t me-mean to prank anyone.”
“Young Master Mo has been working with Senior Wei’s notes from the Burial Mounds.  It seems he has a talent for talismans, along with cultivating resentful energy.”  Lan Zhan explained.
Wei Ying’s eyes widened in understanding.
So it WAS my talisman
Ha!
That’s great!
I like this kid
Wait, did he say cultivating resentful energy?
“Perhaps Senior Fu would like to work with Young Master Mo on some new talismans for the group.”  Lan Zhan suggested.
Lan Zhan, you tricky bastard
This was your plan all along, wasn’t it
Finding me a mini me to keep me occupied?
“I would be honored to work with Senior Fu.”  Mo Xuanyu quickly bowed.
“And perhaps Senior Fu can also help with your control of the resentful energy.” Lan Zhan gently added.  “He has had experience with that form of cultivation.”
Wei Ying’s eyes nearly fell out of his head and his mouth fell open in shock.  Lan Zhan wants him to TEACH this Junior resentful energy cultivation?!
Lan Zhan looked over at Wei Ying.  “The only reason we purged you of your resentful energy was to get a new core to take root.  Now that it has I see no reason that you can’t cultivate both, as long as you keep a balance.  It seems to be working quite well with Young Master Mo here.”
Mo Xuanyu nodded his head and looked up at Wei Ying.  “Yes Senior Fu.  As long as we do a proper cleanse and fortification afterwards, it doesn’t hurt as much as before.”
Wei Ying was so shocked he felt like a stiff wind would blow him over.  Was he even HEARING this conversation correctly?  What had HAPPENED in the last 13 years that it went from everything about resentful energy cultivation is evil and must be stamped out to, we can make this work and NOT cause the cultivator endless agony?
Lan Zhan reached over and gave Wei Ying’s had a gentle squeeze.
“I-I would like to work with Young Master Mo as well.”  Wei Ying smiled at the boy.
Wei Ying knew it was his own fault.  He just couldn’t help it, he was BORED.  And Lan Zhan had been ignoring him.  So he did what he always did, bugged Lan Zhan.  That’s how he ended up in his current…predicament.  Lan Zhan had taken his forehead ribbon and securely wrapped it around Wei Ying’s wrists, then slammed him down on the table Lan Zhan was trying to work at, on his chest.  Lan Zhan tied the ends of the ribbon to the table leg, so Wei Ying couldn’t get up.
So there he was, laying across the table, next to Lan Zhan, as he studiously attended to his duties.  Not that Lan Zhan was ignoring him anymore.  He had lowered Wei Ying’s trousers to pool them around his knees and was torturously stroking his raging arousal.  Every time Wei Ying whined for more attention, or tried to thrust into his hand, Lan Zhan gave his bottom a sharp slap.
“Ouch!  So mean Lan Zhan.”  Wei Ying pouted.  He wiggled his bottom to try to grab Lan Zhan’s gaze.  “You’re making it all red and puffy.”
“Mn”
Lan Zhan dropped his hand back down to Wei Ying’s balls this time.  His hand was so large that it easily fit both of them in his palm as it cupped them, gently squeezing, kneading, and rolling them, sending waves of warm pleasure straight to Wei Ying’s leaking cock.
Wei Ying shuddered and collapsed into the table, moaning out long and deep.  His legs were trembling from being in that position for so long, but he just couldn’t bring himself to care.  When Lan Zhan closed the report he was working on and picked up another one, Wei Ying let out a long, wordless whine.
****************Pain kink***************
Lan Zhan sharply tapped his balls with his fingers, causing a sharp pain to shoot up to the base of his cock.  Wei Ying let out a punched out gasp.
“Color?”
It took a couple seconds for Wei Ying to come back to himself and process what Lan Zhan had asked.  “Green.”  He decided.
Lan Zhan put his brush down and looked directly at Wei Ying.  He seemed to be trying to assess something.  “Wei Ying will count to ten, then tell me his color.  He will repeat this until I am finished with my work.  Does Wei Ying understand?”
“Yes Lan-er-gege”  Wei Ying cooed.
“Mn” Lan Zhan returned his attention to his work, both the report, and Wei Ying’s balls.
It started again with Lan Zhan pleasuring him.  Wei Ying was soon moaning shamelessly into the table.  When he tried to rut against the table Lan Zhan have his balls a sharp tap.  Wei Ying choked on a scream in shock as his whole groin area seized up.  He somehow managed to remember where he was in the count, and when it was time again he told Lan Zhan “green”.  This time, the pleasure kept building from where it was before, but he didn’t have the same burning urge to chase release.
Oh
Oh, I see
I wonder…
Once he felt his pleasure build to an impossibly high peak again, and he would need to release or go crazy, he let out a petulant whine.  It earned him another sharp tap to his balls, sending shooting pain through his groin and had him crying out.  But following the pain was a burning pleasure, and his climax had been aborted.  His pleasure kept building.
He started to feel more confident in seeking pain more often.  He would whine, he would rut, he would tease Lan Zhan, anything he could think of to earn him a smack.  He caught Lan Zhan looking over at him a couple of times, to see if he was alright, but he was being good and remembered to give him his color every ten counts, like he was told to.
Lan Zhan closed the last of the reports and gave Wei Ying’s balls a gentle squeeze.  “All finished.”
Wei Ying let a whine slip, earning him the hardest smack yet.  His whole body seized and he was seeing stars.
********************End of Pain kink******************
Lan Zhan cleared off the table, and repositioned Wei Ying so he was laying on his back, across it lengthwise this time.  He untied Wei Ying’s upper robes and pulled them all the way up and left them bunched around his wrists.  He then took off Wei Ying’s trousers entirely, before using two silk ties to securely tie Wei Ying’s legs to the table as well.
“Are you going to eat me for dinner Lan-er-ege?” Wei Ying squirmed in need.
Lan Zhan didn’t respond.  Instead he picked up a fresh calligraphy brush, and sat down at the table.  He firmly grabbed the base of Wei Ying’s cock, and dipped the tip of the brush into the liquid leaking out of the tip.
Lan Zhan spent a couple minutes torturously brushing along the tip of Wei Ying’s raging arousal, watching him writhe in need below him.  He then held Wei Ying’s cock flat against his stomach, and drew out a talisman on his balls.
Immediately Wei Ying felt his balls start to vibrate, radiating warm heat and pleasure.  If he hadn’t been tied down he would have been rolling around on the table in pleasure.
Lan Zhan brought the tip of the calligraphy brush back up to Wei Ying’s leaking tip and gathered more liquid.  This time he drew out a talisman directly on the shaft of his cock.  Wei Ying wasn’t sure what the second talisman did, because nothing appeared to change.  He bucked, and squirmed and moaned out in pleasure as his climax began to build.
Lan Zhan watched him with a studious expression as he threw his head back and cried out, at what was supposed to be his climax, but nothing happened.  The pleasure kept building however.
“Lan Zhan?” Wei Ying looked at him with wide eyes.
“Must practice guqin.”  Lan Zhan replied.  He then got up and walked over to where he had set up his guqin and sat down.  “Remember to continue to give me your color.”  He hummed as he began to play.
That’s it.
I’m bugging Lan Zhan EVERY day.
He quickly lost all sense of time.  But he must have remembered to give his color because he was still in a warm haze of pure pleasure.  At some point the vibrating in his balls stopped, and his legs had been untied.  He was only sort of aware of his legs being bent and shoved towards his upper body, of large hands gripping bruises into his thighs, holding them steady.  Of himself being split in two by a solid, velvety, hot, rod.  He felt Lan Zhan everywhere.  He felt his meridians all pulsing with a white hot bright energy that felt like Lan Zhan.  It pulsed in, washed through his meridians, and receded out, just to pulse back in again.  This must be what dual cultivation is.
“Come for me.”  He heard Lan Zhan whisper in his ear, and he realized that Lan Zhan was slamming into him, hitting the spot that sent shockwaves of pleasure through his body.
He violently climaxed, and his vision whited out before he could even remember finishing.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 32
………Cloud Recesses………
When Wei Ying woke he realized that he was securely wrapped in a blanket, in what he recognized as a place in Cloud Recesses.  It took him a minute to remember what had happened before he fell asleep.
I’m in the Jingshi.
I must be in Lan Zhan’s bed.
He heard a guqin playing and smelled sandalwood.  He knew he was safe. He was about to roll over and greet Lan Zhan when he heard a knock at the door.  Instead he pulled the covers tighter to him.  He didn’t want to see anyone.  He wasn’t ready.
“Wangji”
“Xichen”
He heard Sect Leader Lan enter the Jingshi.
“I see he’s still resting.”
“Mn.  He had a couple nightmares last night, so he will rest for longer.”
Huh
I don’t remember that
“So, you’ve cleansed him of his resentful energy?”
Wei Ying heard a clink of a teacup being mishandled.
“Oh come on Wangji, I pulled those texts for you from the Forbidden section.  It makes sense now why you wanted them.”
“Wei Ying has been cleansed.  He also has regrown a tiny core.”
Wei Ying heard a sharp intake of breath.
“He lost his core?”
“Mn”
“Is that why-“
“Yes.”
“That poor boy.”
There was silence for a bit after that.
“Wangji…how did you find him?  Where WAS he?”
“Wei Ying was not killed in the Burial Mounds.  He was taken prisoner.”
No Lan Zhan…
Please don’t…
“He was the Koi Tower Sex Slave”
Wei Ying felt shame wash over his entire body.
“No…it can’t…but that would mean…”
“Mn”
“A-Yao wouldn’t…”
Wei Ying heard someone stand up and start pacing.
“…all this time…but he said…he SWORE to me that it was consensual!”
Wei Ying heard the sound of a cup shattering against a wall.
“He LIED to me.  I let it happen.  I’m so SORRY Wangji, I should have stopped it.  I should have VERIFIED”
Wei Ying felt sick.  He’d caused trouble again.  Sect Leader Lan shouldn’t feel guilty.  He certainly shouldn’t be apologizing over HIM.
“No wonder he reacted that way when he saw me. All those times I could have stopped it and I did NOTHING.”
Wei Ying didn’t want to hear any more.  He wanted to leave.  Maybe he could make it to the door without them noticing.  He could just crawl away and it would be easier for everyone.
“I’m so sorry Wangji.”
“You didn’t know.  I was in the same ROOM as him and I didn’t know either.”
WHAT?!
When?!
Lan Zhan had SEEN?!
Wei Ying wanted to disappear into the earth.  Lan Zhan had seen.  They both KNEW.  He curled into himself and let out a long whine.
“Wei Ying?!” Lan Zhan rushed over to him.
“DON’T TOUCH ME!”  Wei Ying screamed and jerked away from him.
Dirty
I’ll get him dirty
More than I already have
Why did he LET me?
“Wei Ying, you’re safe.  You aren’t there anymore.”  Lan Zhan tried to comfort him.
Wei Ying felt raw, exposed.  More than when he was put on display in Koi Tower.  Because now, they KNEW.  They had SEEN and they KNEW who it was.  They KNEW what he was.
He heard Sect Leader Lan begin to play his xiao, blanketing him in waves of comfort.  He began to sob.  He didn’t deserve it.  He should just leave. He causes trouble wherever he goes.
“Wei Ying…please…”  Lan Zhan sounded so broken.  “How can I help you?”
“Just let me die…”  Wei Ying sobbed.
“Never.  Wei Ying is NOT allowed to die.” Lan Zhan said firmly. “Wei Ying is MINE, do you understand?”
“You can’t want me Lan Zhan…I’m…I’m”
“Stop.  Wei Ying may violate any Lan rule except THAT one.” Lan Zhan interrupted him gently, but firmly.  “Wei Ying is MINE.  And nothing of mine is dirty, or worthless, or broken, or unwanted.”
“But…h-how can you still want me?” Wei Ying sniffled.
“Will always want Wei Ying.  Wei Ying is kind. Generous. Precious. Smart. Selfless. Caring. Wei Ying’s smile is only rivaled by his laugh in brightness.  Wei Ying is like a breath of fresh air on a warm summer night.  Wei Ying is like the energy of the sun bottled up and sent to earth.  Wei Ying is an unrivaled brilliance and Wei Ying is MINE.”
Lan Zhan gently sat down on the bed.  “Will Wei Ying allow me to touch him?”
“Y-yes” Wei Ying whispered quietly.
Lan Zhan slowly crawled over to Wei Ying, and curled up behind him, shielding his body with his own.  “Wei Ying is safe.  Wei Ying is protected.  Wei Ying is loved.”
Lan Xichen continued to play his xiao as Lan Zhan held Wei Ying.  Soon, the smell of sandalwood, the comforting and protective embrace of Lan Zhan, and the comforting waves of music from Lan Xichen drove away Wei Ying’s despair and he was left feeling warm and safe.
“Better?”  Lan Zhan asked quietly.
“Yeah”  Wei Ying’s voice cracked.
“Would Wei Ying like breakfast?”
Wei Ying nodded timidly.  Still utterly embarrassed, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it now.  He would have to face everyone eventually.
Lan Zhan picked him up, blanket and all, and carried him over to the table.  Lan Xichen stopped playing and joined them.  He didn’t say anything, but he had an understanding look on his face.
“I apologize Sect Leader Lan.  I just…it’s just…”  Wei Ying tried weakly.
“No need Wei-Xiong.  You are doing very well, all things considered.”  Lan Xichen said with a soothing voice.  Wei Ying wondered if he practiced it.  “If there is anything you require, please don’t hesitate to ask for it.”
“Other than your death.”  Lan Zhan added sharply.
Lan Xichen laughed lightly.  “Yes, other than your death.  I believe we might have to add a new rule to the wall.”
“What IS the rule?  No one has actually told me, I just get reprimanded for breaking it.”  Wei Ying whined.
“No speaking poorly of Wei Wuxian.”  Lan Xichen replied with a sad look in his eye.
“I can’t believe the Lan Elders would allow a rule like that.” Wei Ying muttered.
“It was for Wangji’s own protection.  There was much…talk…after your supposed death, and Wangji didn’t take it so well.  After the incident with the drinking and the…branding…it was decided to add the rule.”
Lan Zhan shot his brother a stern look.
“The BRANDING?!  The DRINKING?!  Lan Zhan!  You got drunk and branded yourself because you were upset about people saying bad things about ME?!”  Wei Ying couldn’t believe it.
“Wei Ying is my husband.  It was disrespectful. Had to punish myself because I wanted to punish them even though they hadn’t broken a rule.” Lan Zhan said as if it was obvious.
“Oh Lan Zhan…”  Wei Ying sighed. “THIS is why you have to clear all punishments with me.  You realize that right?”
“Yes Wei Ying.”
Lan Xichen burst out laughing.
Both Wei Ying and Lan Zhan looked at him in confusion.
“You two are perfect for each other, and I’m glad you’ve finally figured it out.”
Lan Zhan and his brother left Wei Ying alone after breakfast, to go check on Mo Xuanyu.  Lan Zhan had been sure to point out where he had laid out Wei Ying’s notes that had been rescued from Koi Tower, in case he wanted to pick up where he’d left off on any of his previous works.  Leave it to Lan Zhan to find something that would distract him from the realization that he now knew that they KNEW what had happened to him.
He shook his head quickly to clear that train of thought before it spiraled out of control, and set himself down to go through his old notes.
It didn’t take long for him to slip back into old habits because he didn’t even realize any time had past until Lan Zhan was back, holding a tray of food.
“Lan Zhan!”  Wei Ying jumped up excitedly, knocking a stack of talisman paper onto the floor.  “Look!  All I needed to do was combine what I was working on with THIS one, with what A-Sang developed with THIS one and then you get one that looks like the cultivator disappeared into a ball of fire!”
“That seems, very dramatic”  Lan Zhan replied as he set the tray of food down and guided Wei Ying over to the table to eat something.
“Oh, it WILL be.  Can we try it out later?”  Wei Ying grinned at him.
“Mn” Lan Zhan replied as he sat down next to Wei Ying. “Will take Wei Ying to meet the Juniors and have them try it out.”

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 31
Wangji,
I hope this letter finds you well.  I’d like to start off by saying that, everyone is FINE.  There was a little, incident, during the most recent night hunt with the Juniors.  They returned to Cloud Recesses without Sect Leader Jiang.  Apparently Young Master Mo needed to use his, special abilities, to help them defeat a soul sucking statue, and Sect Leader Jiang took offense.
Like I said, no one is hurt.  The Juniors brought Young Master Mo back to Cloud Recesses for cleansing and fortification, and no one was hurt in the scuffle with Sect Leader Jiang.  However, they are a little shaken up from the incident, especially Sizhui.
I should be clear, ALL the Juniors returned, including Jin Ling and the other Jiang disciples.  They won’t repeat what was said, but I have a feeling that tempers were flying as to the legitimacy of Young Master Mo’s, special abilities, and others who have used the same abilities in the past.
I will personally be supervising any future night hunts until your return, to prevent any other, misunderstandings.
Your brother,
Xichen
………Qinghe………
Lan Zhan folded up the letter and glanced over at Wei Ying, who was currently sprawled out across the bed, blanket askew, drooling onto the mattress, and fast asleep.  Soon they would have to deal with how they were going to move forward.  He could not leave Wei Ying again, he refused.  So that meant that he would have to take Wei Ying with him.
The trouble was that no one could know that Wei Ying was alive, and he was fairly recognizable.  Perhaps Nie Huaisang would be willing to share his disguise talismans with them, to hide Wei Ying’s identity.  They wouldn’t need to use it all the time, the Juniors surely wouldn’t recognize him.  It was just when they were in towns, to avoid any surprises.
Wei Ying moaned and began squirming in the bed.  Lan Zhan got out his guqin to soothe him from whatever nightmare was currently plaguing him when he saw that Wei Ying’s movements looked an awful lot like he was rutting into the bed.
Oh
Not a nightmare
Lan Zhan felt the tips of his ears burn as he shamelessly watched his husband obscenely writhe in the bed, unable to look away.  He was hypnotized by the vision of Wei Ying’s hands gripping the mattress as he rolled his hips down into it.  The little satisfied gasps and grunts escaping his lips sent shivers down Lan Zhan’s spine.  Lan Zhan felt blood rushing to his own cock as he wondered what it was Wei Ying was dreaming about…specifically…  He palmed his own growing arousal through his robes as he watched Wei Ying bring himself to climax, calling out his name.
Wei Ying is going to require a bath.
Lan Zhan sent a note to the servants to draw a bath when they brought in breakfast.  When he turned his attention back to the bed, he saw that Wei Ying was awake, and looking confused.
“Wei Ying was having a good dream.”  Lan Zhan tried to help.
It took a few seconds for Wei Ying to process this, but when he did he went from realization, to embarrassment, to shock.  “Lan Zhan!  Were you WATCHING me?!”
“Mn”  Lan Zhan went to go pour them some tea.
“Shameless!”  Wei Ying accused.
“I cannot help but stare when my husband wiggles his attractive bottom in such and enticing motion.”
Wei Ying made an embarrassed noise and hid himself under the covers.  “Lan Zhaaaan” he whined out, muffled by the blanket.
Lan Zhan might have actually chuckled, but at that exact moment the servants came in to draw the bath and deliver breakfast.
………Gusu………
The goodbyes had been hard.  Lan Zhan didn’t want to take Wei Ying away from his sister, but he also knew that Wei Ying was bound to get restless within the confines of the secret pavilion inside the Nie Sect Compound.  Luckily, Nie Huaisang was willing to let Wei Ying take a look at his “special” talismans, and his husband’s excitement could NOT be contained when he returned from THAT little field trip.
Wei Ying came back babbling non-stop about the craziest things, but Lan Zhan did managed to get the information that Wei Ying knew how to recreate the body double talisman, so Lan Zhan felt like he could let the rest of the babble wash over him like a comforting wave.  This was nice.  He wished it could be like this forever.
Unfortunately, they had a mystery to solve, and people to track down and bring to justice.  So they had decided that Wei Ying would become Fu Ying, of the Hedong Fu Sect.  During the Sunshot Campaign, Sect Leader Fu brought 200 cultivators to join in the war when Lan Zhan had requested help from the minor sects.  They could easily pass off Wei Ying as one of those cultivators, and that would explain any of his knowledge of the events during the campaign, should it come up.
“How do I look?” Wei Ying asked, after casting the body double talisman on himself.
“Like someone who might resemble Wei Ying.”  Lan Zhan replied.  The talisman could only change slight details, so it was best to find a body that already closely resembled the one you wanted it to look like.
“Good enough for me to walk straight into Cloud Recesses and slap your brother on the back and say ‘Hi, how’s it been going these past 13 years’?”  Wei Ying grinned.
“I would advise against doing THAT.  However it is good enough to fool anyone not specifically looking for you.”  Lan Zhan replied, ignoring the joke.  “We shall just do our best to keep you away from anyone who might have known you while we are there.”
Wei Ying nodded and squared his shoulders.  “You’ll just have to defend your weak husband, if it comes down to it.”
“Wei Ying is growing stronger every day.” Lan Zhan stated.  “We just need to cultivate more.”
Wei Ying shot him a knowing grin.  “Of course.  Whatever the Honorable Hanguang-Jun prescribes.”
Lan Zhan felt the tips of his ears warm as they started up the long winding stairs leading to Cloud Recesses.
………Cloud Recesses………
Luckily, Sizhui was waiting for them at the gate, with a token for Wei Ying, to help diffuse the awkward conversation they were sure to have about who Wei Ying was and why he was travelling with the Second Jade of Lan.
“Senior Fu!” Sizhui greeted warmly as they approached.  He had been sent a message as to the disguise and the new name, to help sell the act and not cause confusion.
“Lan Sizhui, a pleasure to see you again!”  Wei Ying responded smiling broadly at his now grown son.
Sizhui bowed respectfully to Lan Zhan, then to Wei Ying.  “I am honored to welcome you to Cloud Recesses Senior Fu.  Please accept this token.  It allows access through the gate so you may pass freely.”
Wei Ying took the jade token, rubbing his fingers over it a few times before tucking it into his sleeve.  He thought he felt tears welling up in his eyes and he quickly blinked to clear them.
Why am I getting so emotional?
Of course it is an incredibly kind but unnecessary gesture.
I’ll only be here for a few days.
He noticed Lan Zhan eyeing him cautiously, so he gave him a reassuring smile before following Sizhui into Cloud Recesses, pretending that he hadn’t been there before.  Sizhui made a show of pretending to point out buildings and areas of interest along the way to the Jingshi.  Luckily, even though they drew the attention of everyone who happened to be out and about, no one dared come up to them to speak to them.
Wei Ying wondered why.  Lan Zhan was the one of the famous Twin Jades, and he had been gone for a considerable amount of time.  And yet, the looks they were getting were apprehensive and almost fearful, by Lan standards.  He knew that Lan Zhan was the one to enforce the rules back in the day, but was he REALLY so scary that people were afraid to approach him?  Unless they recognized Wei Ying.
That must be it.
They can see through the disguise.
I’ve been busted.
As if Lan Zhan knew what he was thinking, he grabbed Wei Ying’s hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.  Wei Ying looked over at him and Lan Zhan shook his head slightly, telling him that it wasn’t whatever he was thinking.
Sizhui noticed the tension and dropped back to speak more privately.  “They are afraid of Baba because of the rumors.”
“We shall speak of this more in the Jingshi.” Lan Zhan replied quietly.
All hope that they would be able to have a private conversation was dashed when they neared the Jingshi, however.  Lan Xichen was standing on the steps, awaiting their arrival.  Wei Ying tripped on a rock and stuttered, and would have fallen if Lan Zhan hadn’t grabbed onto his arm to steady him.  Wei Ying answered his concerned look with a weak smile.
We’re SO busted.
He’s going to see right through this.
Oh no
He’s going to tell Jin Guangyao
They’re really close, right?
I messed up
I always mess up
I’m going to ruin all A-Sang’s plans
This is a disaster
***********************Panic Attack*********************
Wei Ying could feel his chest tighten and it became harder to breathe.
“Are you okay?”  Sizhui asked, concerned.
Wei Ying shook his head and waived him off.  He was NOT okay.  This was REALLY bad.  Lan Xichen was smiling directly at him, like he KNEW.
He knows
I can’t do this
I can’t go back there
He wouldn’t make me, would he?
Isn’t there a rule about not selling people away into slavery?
Even if it’s for punishment?
Wei Ying allowed himself to weakly be led along towards the Jingshi, and towards what felt like his executioner.  His head was foggy and everything was spinning by the time he reached the stairs.
“Wangji, it’s good to see you arrived safely.”  He heard Sect Leader Lan say through the fog of his mind.  “And this must be, Senior Fu.”  He felt a gentle pressure on his arm, urging him to return the Sect Leader’s bow.
He used my fake name.
But he said it rather sharply.
He doesn’t believe it.
He knows.
Of course he knows.
He’s just pretending
To keep things calm
Until we get inside, where I won’t cause a scene.
“Are you alright Senior Fu?  You’re looking rather pale.”  The Lan Sect Leader asked, now looking genuinely concerned.
Wei Ying felt himself being led inside, he can’t remember if he answered the Sect Leader’s question.  Once inside the door he collapsed on the floor, in an attempt at a kowtow, at Sect Leader Lan’s feet.
He couldn’t speak, he didn’t have the air in his lungs to push out words.  He just hoped that the Lan Sect Leader would understand is intention not to fight.  He hoped that if he gave himself up willingly that Lan Zhan and Sizhui would be spared.  Maybe he could convince him that he was the only one.  Yes, that would be alright.  If he could convince Lan Xichen that he was the only person that A-Sang had saved, then his Shijie, her husband, and Wen Qing would all be safe.  It didn’t matter what happened to him, as long as everyone else was safe.
His vision was blackening around the edges from lack of oxygen, and the tightening in his chest was quickly approaching too painful to bear.  He felt hands trying to lift him up, and muffled voices all around him, but he could not focus on anything specific.
*******************End of Panic Attack*******************
He was about to pass out when he felt a cool, calming wave pass over him.  Then suddenly, he could breathe again.  He gasped and coughed and sobbed now that he could get air back into his lungs.  He curled onto his side on the floor and let the calming waves wash over him as he shook uncontrollably. He felt a cool cloth touch his face and he struggled to open his eyes.  He saw Lan Zhan through the haze, looking concerned, wiping the sweat and tears from his face.   A whimper choked out and Lan Zhan pulled him into his lap.
“Wei Ying is safe.  Wei Ying is protected.  No one will hurt Wei Ying again.”  Lan Zhan soothed as he rocked Wei Ying in his lap.
Wei Ying curled into Lan Zhan and began sobbing again, releasing all the tension that had built up during his panic attack.  Lan Zhan shifted to cradle his head to his chest, and rubbed soothing circles into his back as he shook and sobbed.
“I am here.  Wei Ying is safe.”
They stayed like that with the calming waves, that he now realized was music, continuing to wash over Wei Ying.  His sobs eventually turned to hiccups, which eventually turned to small hitches in his breath.  His shaking turned to slight trembles.  Lan Zhan continued to hold on tight.
“Better?” Lan Zhan murmured into Wei Ying’s hair after what seemed like an eternity in his safe cocoon.
Wei Ying felt completely wrung out.  He barely had the energy to nod.  Lan Zhan pressed a kiss into his hair.  The music stopped.
“I shall make us some tea.”  Lan Xichen said soothingly.
Wei Ying didn’t have the energy to be afraid anymore.  When Lan Zhan picked him up and carried him to the table, settling him in his lap, leaning upright against his chest, he didn’t have the energy to even be embarrassed.
When Lan Xichen returned with the tea, Lan Zhan gently placed a cup in Wei Ying’s hand, and steadied it as he guided it up to get Wei Ying to take a sip.   Wei Ying was glad because he felt like without Lan Zhan, he would fall into a puddle on the floor.  He felt Lan Zhan brush the stray hair away from his face, and place a gentle kiss on his temple.
“Wei Ying is doing so good.”  Lan Zhan praised gently, causing fresh tears to spill down his cheeks. He didn’t feel like he was doing good.  He felt like he was a mess, like he was an embarrassment.
“Are panic attacks common?”  Lan Xichen asked gently.
“Mn.” Lan Zhan affirmed.  “Also nightmares.”
Lan Xichen nodded in understanding.  “I expect that there is a whole story as to why that is.  But now is probably not the best time to tell it.”
“Mn”
“Uncle, you’ll keep the secret, won’t you?”  Sizhui pleaded.
“Of course.  I would not do anything to bring harm to any member of my family.”  Lan Xichen smiled knowingly at his nephew.
Wei Ying choked out a sob at hearing that, and stared wide-eyed at Lan Xichen.
“You are safe here, Wei Ying.”  Lan Xichen said, with a soft, genuine smile.  “Of course my brother’s husband would always be safe here.”
It was Lan Zhan’s turn to choke.
Lan Xichen chuckled gently.  “Oh Wangji, I think the only ones who DIDN’T know how you two felt about each other were the two of you.”
“You cannot tell Jin Guangyao.”  Lan Zhan said darkly, causing Wei Ying to whimper at hearing the name.
A confused look passed over Lan Xichen’s face, then quickly left.  “Of course.  He is not privy to all of the secrets of Cloud Recesses.  This is a Lan Sect matter, it does not concern him.”
Lan Xichen set down his teacup and stood up.  “I shall leave you to get settled and rest.  It was not my intention to cause any discomfort.”  He bowed to Wei Ying in apology, then gracefully exited the Jingshi.
Sizhui excused himself quietly, and Lan Zhan scooped up Wei Ying and placed him in a warm bath.  Lan Zhan settled behind Wei Ying and brushed out his hair as he let the warm water soak into his soul.  Before he knew it, he had fallen asleep.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 30
………Qinghe………
************************Bottom Lan Zhan***********************
This time, they had decided to try a different approach.  Lan Zhan was on his back on the bed, arms and legs bound, completely naked, with his husband sitting on top of him, bouncing up and down along his raging hard cock.  Wei Ying had already come multiple times, they had decided against denying him that pleasure since it was too much like what he had previously been forced to endure.  This time, Wei Ying was allowed to do as he pleased, for as long as he pleased, and Lan Zhan would have to wait until Wei Ying had recovered and wanted to go another round.
The only demand of Wei Ying between rounds was that he had to keep Lan Zhan aroused.  A demand that Wei Ying had enthusiastically taken to task.  This time is was Lan Zhan who was lost in a sea of pleasure, using all his carefully cultivated self-restraint to keep himself from climax as Wei Ying brought him to the brink of insanity over and over.  But Lan Zhan was determined.  He was trying to condense the feeling of bright, hot, energy swirling around in his stomach into…something.  The texts weren’t very specific, they had called it a seed.  So he knew that it needed to be something, MORE than the swirling energy it was now.
So he lay there and watched as his husband writhed on top of him, lost in his own haze of pleasure, glistening with sweat.  Moaning his name over and over, as he took what he needed from Lan Zhan.  As he felt himself building towards his own climax again, he closed his eyes and went back to concentrating on the energy building in his stomach.  He blocked out the sounds of his husband’s pleasure filled cries as he felt Wei Ying’s insides tighten around him, and another round of warm liquid pulse out of his husbands cock and spill onto his stomach.
He felt Wei Ying roll off of him, and a hand wrap around his leaking cock.  Wei Ying began to lazily stroke it as he came down from his high, resting his face on Lan Zhan’s chest, panting into him.
“Color?” Wei Ying asked, once his breathing had returned to normal.
“Green” Lan Zhan managed to breathe out.
“Lan Zhan, you have to be CLOSE right?  Is there anything more I can do to help?”  He looked seriously into Lan Zhan’s eyes. “Not that I’m not enjoying this…”
“Wei Ying is doing everything right.  The energy is growing, it just hasn’t solidified yet.  Need to build more.” Lan Zhan hurried to reassure his husband.  “Am ALSO enjoying this.”
Wei Ying laid his head back down on Lan Zhan’s chest.
“It will just take a little longer because of the breaks, to allow Wei Ying to rest.  I do not mind.”
“Would it…would it help if I…”  Wei Ying whispered hesitantly.  Lan Zhan waited patiently for Wei Ying to continue.
“Wei Ying may do anything he wishes.”  Lan Zhan replied, when it appeared that Wei Ying wasn’t going to continue saying it out loud.
“I don’t want to hurt you Lan Zhan.”  Wei Ying objected.
“I will let you know if you cause discomfort.  Just use plenty of oil.” Lan Zhan had a feeling he knew what it was that Wei Ying was asking.  It would, in fact, increase his pleasure to be taken like that, to feel himself be split open and filled by his Wei Ying.  He also knew that Wei Ying was reluctant to try because of his own past experience.
He felt Wei Ying shifting on the bed, moving down between his legs.  He went back to concentrating on the swirling energy as Wei Ying began mouthing the sensitive skin on his inner thighs.  His husbands mouth was sending shocks of pleasure up to his center, adding to the burning energy swirling there.
When he felt those lips press against sensitive skin at his tight entrance, he gasped out a moan and his hips lifted off the bed.  It was like nothing he’d ever felt before. He felt himself quickly overwhelmed, what started off as a tingling pleasure built into intense sparks as Wei Ying probed into the opening with his tongue.
It felt like there was a battle between Wei Ying and himself.  Him, trying to hold off climax and Wei Ying trying his hardest to drive him over the edge.  He felt Wei Ying add a slick finger to his tongue, gently stretching and probing him, massaging the tight muscles at his entrance.
“Color?”
“Green” Lan Zhan’s voice was ragged and husky with need.
Wei Ying added a second slick finger and Lan Zhan keened, seeing stars.   It was so wet, so sloppy, so pleasurable, he was adrift in a sea of bliss and the only thing anchoring him was his mission to convert the building energy in his core into a seed.  Something that was getting more difficult to concentrate on by the second, since Wei Ying was slowly working his two fingers further inside him, stretching and massaging the INSIDE of him.
When Wei Ying’s finger found the spot that sent a jolt of electric pleasure pulsing through his meridians, he let out a strangled cry and almost lost control.
“I have an idea Lan Zhan.  I can help you.”  Wei Ying said breathlessly.
“Anything Wei Ying wishes”  Lan Zhan managed between cries.
Lan Zhan felt a pressure, in the tender area behind his balls and in front of his entrance, at the base of his torso.  Wei Ying was pressing his middle three fingers into that spot, then he began to stroke the spot inside his body that drove him crazy with pleasure.
He wasn’t going to last.  The pleasure was building too quickly.  He couldn’t hold on…he was going to… he couldn’t stop it…
“Wei Ying!!!”  Lan Zhan called out, hoping to warn him that it was too much…and then suddenly…he wasn’t coming.  The energy was being funneled to his meridians, and he diverted it to the bright hot energy ball growing in his stomach.
“Are you okay?” Wei Ying asked, “I know it can be a little off-putting.”
“Green” was all he could manage in his current state.
Wei Ying continued to brush against the spot with his finger at a punishing pace, sending wave upon wave of pleasure through Lan Zhan.  He was quickly reduced to a sweaty, moaning, writhing mess.
“….more….”  Lan Zhan begged.
“Please…I need more…”
“I’ve got you.”  Wei Ying soothed, and slowly removed his fingers from inside him, causing him to whimper at the loss.
He could feel the muscles pulsing at the loss, and slick dripping out.  By the time he had processed that sensation he felt the blunt tip of Wei Ying’s cock pressing against his entrance.  Lan Zhan moaned in need and tried to grind down on it.
“Shhhhh, take it slow.  I don’t want to hurt you.”  Wei Ying gave him a comforting kiss to the inside of his thigh.
As Wei Ying slowly pressing inside him, it felt like he was being split apart by a red hot iron.  He threw his head back and let out a keen.  Wei Ying took it slow, allowing his insides to adjust to him, like he belonged there the whole time.  Like he was born to have Wei Ying inside him.  Once he bottomed out, he sat for a minute, allowing Lan Zhan time to process.  He felt like he was going crazy.  He NEEDED Wei Ying to move.
“Color?”
“Green, please…” Lan Zhan begged, struggling to grind on Wei Ying’s cock.
Wei Ying started to slowly roll his hips, and Lan Zhan was now hyper aware of the piercing, and how it was rubbing against his insides.  When one of the balls of the piercing pressed up against the spot, Lan Zhan’s vision whited out and he let out a strangled cry.
“Ahhhh, that’s the spot.” Wei Ying purred, then hit it again.  Lan Zhan had to channel all of his concentration into not climaxing and Wei Ying began slamming into him at a punishing pace.  He rode each wave of pleasure as it built, then cut it off, over and over.  Lost in the sea.
He had missed it when it first happened, but at some point he became aware of the fact that the burning energy had condensed into something tiny, but tangible inside of him.  Wei Ying’s pace stuttered, he cried out and came inside him.  He collapsed on top of Lan Zhan, spent and panting, his face right next to Lan Zhan’s raging arousal.
“Wei Ying…”  Lan Zhan hoarsely called.
“That was AMAZING…”  Wei Ying panted out.
“Wei Ying, it’s time.”
“I’m going to need a minute.”  Wei Ying said, and he slid down so he was laying his head on the bed between Lan Zhan’s thighs, and he sucked one of his balls in his mouth.  Lan Zhan concentrated on channeling more energy to the tiny seed as Wei Ying’s mouth sent jolts of pleasure through him.
They lay like that for what felt like hours, allowing Wei Ying to be ready for the final round.  Lan Zhan was blissed out.  Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that he would have his husband back, let alone be here, with his husband suckling on his balls.  He never wanted this moment to end.  He would be content to stay in this bed for the rest of his life.
When Wei Ying sat up, he knew that it was time.  He felt his husband untying him.  He must have had a confused look on his face because Wei Ying gave him a long, needy kiss.
****************Lan Zhan back on top************
“Want Lan Zhan to take me.”  He explained when he pulled back from the kiss.
Lan Zhan quickly flipped their positions, and devoured his mouth.  It was a wet, hot, sloppy kiss.  Filled with need.  Lan Zhan pulled back and moved down to Wei Ying’s neck, sucking bruises all down to his collarbone.  He moved down lower, and flicked one of his nipple rings, and he was rewarded with a punched out cry from Wei Ying.  He sucked the whole areola into his mouth and flicked the piercing with his tongue, causing Wei Ying to whine and moan and squirm deliciously.
After giving the same treatment to the other nipple, Lan Zhan moved further down, licking and mouthing sloppy kisses, until he reached his husbands hardening cock.  He mouthed at the tip as he circled an oiled finger into Wei Ying’s entrance, his tongue paying special attention to the piercing.  He was drinking in the intoxicating vision of Wei Ying writhing below him in pure pleasure.  Wei Ying keened when Lan Zhan slipped in a second finger, and began scissoring them, gently stretching him again.
“Lan Zhaaaaan” Wei Ying moaned.
“Mn”
“Lan Zhaaaaan….please….”
Lan Zhan removed his fingers and Wei Ying whimpered.  He quickly lined up the head of his own cock and gently pressed it in, just past the ridge.  Wei Ying whined and wiggled and tried to grind down on him, but Lan Zhan held his hips to the bed with a bruising grip.
“I need it Lan Zhan…please…I need you inside me….”
Lan Zhan slid all the way in until he bottomed out.  He relished the velvety pleasure of being squeezed by Wei Ying again.  He collected his thoughts on what he needed to do, then slowly began to roll his hips into Wei Ying.  He was torturously slow, and methodical, channeling the energy building in his stomach to his core, visualizing the path it would need to take to travel down through where they were joined, and into Wei Ying’s body.
Wei Ying was clearly not patient enough for the pace, he whined and squirmed, and tried to grind down on Lan Zhan, chasing his own release.
“Harder, faster.  I want you to TAKE me Lan-er-gege….”  Wei Ying ordered.
Lan Zhan picked up Wei Ying’s legs by the knees, and placed them over his own shoulders, then he leaned down into him, practically folding Wei Ying in half.  Then he began to drill into him at a punishing pace.
Wei Ying’s head rolled back and he let out loud moans and cries every time Lan Zhan slammed into him.  Lan Zhan felt the seed, along with his built up spiritual energy traveling lower as his arousal began to reach an impossibly high peak.  He was so close, this was it.  He bent Wei Ying completely in half as he drilled down into him, it felt like he had a firework inside him about to go off.  He concentrated on that, and as he reached the peak of his pleasure, he shot that firework out of the tip of his cock, and into Wei Ying.
The force of the blast from Lan Zhan caused Wei Ying to scream as he came as well.  Lan Zhan followed up the blast with as much spiritual energy as he could, flooding Wei Ying’s meridians and hopefully helping the seed take root in the space that his core used to be.  Lan Zhan collapsed on top of Wei Ying, completely spent.  Both of them shuddering from aftershocks.
Lan Zhan was vaguely aware that Wei Ying was repositioning them, curling around Lan Zhan and holding him tightly.
“It worked Lan Zhan.” He whispered before Lan Zhan fell asleep from exhaustion.

Find Someone to Carry You
Chapter 29
………Dafan Mountain………
Sizhui was running out of ideas.  The statue seemed to be impervious to their spiritual weapons, and none of Mo Xuanyu’s talismans seemed to be sticking.  It seemed that the best they could do was avoid the six arms as the statue continued to dance it’s attack at them.
One of the statue’s arms managed to snag Ouyang Zizhen and was attempting to eat him, but couldn’t get him close enough to it’s mouth because Lan Jingyi was latched onto the other Junior’s ankle and trying to pull him back down.
Suddenly, a boulder smashed into the arm holding Ouyang Zizhen, and broke it off from the rest of the statue, sending both Juniors flying.  Sizhui saw that there were whisps of black smoke circling the boulder, and shot a look over to where Mo Xuanyu was hiding off to the side of the battle.
Mo Xuanyu was surrounded by whisps of resentful energy and furiously drawing out another talisman.  Lan Jihui and Lan Caifu had assumed protection stances, guarding him with their battle fans ready to be thrown out if the need arose.
When another boulder went slamming into a second arm, severing it, Sizhui realized that Mo Xuanyu had finally found a way to defeat the statue.
“Keep it distracted!”  He yelled when he realized that if the statue caught on to Mo Xuanyu, they’d be in real trouble.
The Juniors danced around the statue, dodging and cutting, keeping it away from where the three Juniors were hiding.  Boulders slamming into body parts as fast as talismans were written.  It didn’t take long to reduce the statue to a lifeless pile of stone.
Sizhui thought he saw something glinting amongst the rubble, and approached cautiously, not wanting to get too close to the resentful energy surrounding the boulders that now littered the area.  He picked up a smooth stone that appeared to have once been clear, but now had swirling blue smoke inside of it.  He was about to ask Sect Leader Jiang to come take a look when he heard the sounds of sparring behind him.
Sect Leader Jiang was locked in a rather intense battle with Jihui and Caifu.  It was a dizzying whirl of fabrics and glints of metal clashing and Jihui was spinning around the Sect Leader, keeping him from advancing, and Caifu was sending out one of her fans through the air to block any blows that might have been able to land a hit on Jihui as he spun around the Sect Leader, as she stood squarely in front of a cowering Mo Xuanyu.
The rest of the Juniors rushed to surround Mo Xuanyu in a protective shield.  Jihui managed to catch Sect Leader Jiang by surprise and wrapped an arm around his shoulder from behind, while slamming a foot into the back of his knee, causing him to fall to the ground.  He securely held the sect leader in place, with the sharp edges of his fan pointed at his throat.
“How DARE you!  I’m a Sect Leader!  Unhand me!”  Sect Leader Jiang bellowed, his face red and visibly huffing in anger.
“Apologies Sect Leader Jiang, but we cannot allow you to hurt our Gege.”  Lan Caifu replied firmly.
“Your GEGE,” Sect Leader Jiang spit out, “is practicing demonic cultivation.  He must be stopped.”
“Apologies again Sect Leader Jiang, but there is nothing inherently wrong about the practice of resentful energy cultivation.”  Lan Liliang responded frankly.
“YOU-“  The Sect Leader struggled to free himself from Lan Jihui’s grip. “He’s evil, it will corrupt him just like it did Wei Wuxian, and he will end up just as evil and will have to be put down, just like Wei Wuxian.”  He screamed, sounding on the edge of irrational.
“Have to be put down?!”
“He isn’t a rabid dog!”
“How DARE you?!”
“Wasn’t he your own BROTHER?!”
“Sect Leader Jiang, I would ask you not to violate Lan Rules while you are out with us” Sizhui said calmly as he approached the tense confrontation.
“What?!  Wei Wuxian WAS evil!  It isn’t ‘speaking poorly of him’, it’s sta-.”  Sect Leader Jiang’s screaming turned to muffled noises as Lan Sizhui cast the Silencing Spell on him.
“I will not let you to continue to willfully violate our rules.”  He said unapologetically as the Sect Leader glared at him.  He had wanted to say SO much more.  He had wanted to scream back at him about how, not only was Senior Wei NOT evil, but it wasn’t even his FAULT.  That he HADN’T killed their sister or her husband, and that he had been suffering a punishment far more severe than anyone ever deserved for the past 13 years, rather than having been “put down”.  But he could not.  He had to keep the secret.  So he remained silent.
Sizhui turned towards the other Juniors.  “Mo Xuanyu, you have saved our lives today.  I thank you for the sacrifice.  Please hurry back to Cloud Recesses for healing.”  He bowed deeply.
Jingyi quickly helped Mo Xuanyu onto his sword and they took off in the direction of Gusu.
Jiang Cheng was beyond mad, he was fuming.  They were just NOT listening, and now he had been silenced by Lan Wangji’s kid like HE was a misbehaving child.
It’s just
I was just trying to TELL them
I NEED to save them from it
From having to go through what I did
He watched as not only did they form a living shield around the kid, but then they flew off with him BACK to Cloud Recesses.  As if all of this was PERFECTLY normal or something.  Jin Ling couldn’t have known about this.  He wouldn’t have let this happen.  Jin Ling would have TOLD him so he could stop it.  He knew better.
Lan Wangji’s kid walked back over to him, and Jihui lowered his fan and let him go.  He waved his hand, removing the silencing spell.
“You all think that I didn’t realize that Wei Ying was my own brother?  How could I not have KNOWN that? That’s what makes it all the worse.  You don’t realize that it may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but someday, you all are going to be faced with your GEGE losing his mind and killing everyone you hold dear. I’m just trying to save you from that pain.”  Jiang Cheng tried to get them to understand.
“Sect Leader Jiang.  We greatly appreciate all that you have done for us in Senior Lan’s absence.  However, I’m sure that there are many things that have been needing attending to back at Lotus Pier.”  Sizhui bowed towards him.
“I see.” Jiang Cheng stood up and brushed his robes.  “Jin Ling, come.”
Jin Ling glared back at him.  “Not this time Uncle Jiang.  This time, you’re wrong.”
Jiang Cheng stared in shock, and was vividly reminded of a time when a then seven year old Jin Ling had stomped his foot and yelled at him.
*****************Flashback*******************
………Lotus Pier………
He was staring at a tiny version of Jin Zixuan, but with a sour look on his face that probably rivaled one of his own. Jin Ling had his arms crossed over his chest, and had just stomped his foot, something that he wasn’t sure WHERE he had picked up, but if he wasn’t being so disagreeable at the moment, he probably would have laughed.
The kid had just quoted some stupid Lan rule at him about not speaking poorly about Wei Ying and he nearly threw an incense burner across the room.
“He’s my stupid brother and I’ll say whatever I WANT about him!”  He yelled at Jin Ling.  In the back of his mind he knew that arguing like this with a seven year old was ridiculous, but, here he was.
“Don’t YELL at me.”  Jin Ling stomped.  “I’m a Sect Leader too, you know.  And you should be nicer to your BROTHER.”  He yelled back.
“Why?! Why should I be nice to someone who KILLED YOUR PARENTS, YOUR MOTHER BEING MY SISTER?!”  He screamed and slammed the scroll he had in his hand into the desk.
“STOP YELLING AT ME!”  Jin Ling screamed back.
Jiang Cheng let out a frustrated yell.  “So help me I will break your legs if you don’t stop this RIGHT NOW Jin Ling.”
Jin Ling let out a frustrated noise and spun on his heels, then stomped out of the room.
*********************End of Flashback****************************
“Jin Ling, are you saying that you are NOT coming back to Lotus Pier?”  Jiang Cheng was trying to remain calm, and ignore the fact that his nephew had just told him that HE was wrong.
“There is a lecture on water ghosts I was hoping to attend.”  Jin Ling bowed to him, then turned to mount his sword.  “Uncle, take care of yourself, or I’ll break your legs.”  He said before he flew off.
Jiang Cheng watched his own disciples shift uncomfortably, unsure of what to do.
“Go if you want.”  He waived at them dismissively.
“Thank you Sect Leader Jiang.”  They bowed quickly, then mounted their own swords.
Jiang Cheng knew that he had already lost them.
