when you shed my own tears, you don't push my demons away 馃ス馃ス馃ス馃ス
shed my tears
you try to shed my own tears,
you try to push my demons away.
you hold them back, slay them for me,
but it does me good only halfway.
you cage my eyes, don鈥檛 want me to hurt,
and your heart aches from my pain.
and of course, my grief, i try to divert,
so that to you, i may look sane.
you fail to realise, and so do i,
that those tears carry great misery.
those tears are my way of vacating them by,
morning, when i suffer again inwardly.
and alas, when you shed my own tears,聽
you don鈥檛 push my demons away.
you puncture your own heart and eyes,
and to release my woe, i don鈥檛 find a way.
my wounded heart, my wounded eyes,
have little chance of succour.
i beg to you to go and fly,
don鈥檛 damage your heart, it鈥檚 pure.

Songs tell stories. If you let your imagination run wild, it transports you
When I listen to Reflections (by the neighborhood), I feel myself lying on a cold, tarred road at night looking up at the sky. The glow of dim blue light from a house nearby falls on my skin.聽
Different parts of the song speak differently. When the chorus comes, I'm walking along the sea at midnight. The cold water wet my feet as the waves come crashing down. My toes sink into the damp sand every time I take a step. A blurry reflection of the full moon on the ocean as it peacefully slept.聽
The same artist can take you to different worlds, but always within the same universe.
Sweater Weather gives the feeling of a gloomy evening. Right before a heavy rain, when the world seems just about to crash on me. While solidarity felt peaceful in Reflections, it is troubling now. The desire to be with the person I love envelopes me as the song builds.聽
The slight chill air whispers at my ear and blows my hair, tickling my neck.

my soul entwined
Tumblr media
golden brown specks are flying my mind, unannounced, has an occupant
going down the floor is crumbling running around holding up your lover
give it a sound, crystal laughter and waves giving in broken like a promise
entwined within soul wrapped around it everyday sin cant just ignore it.

Solitude
Solitude. A word many fear, but eventually grow to adore. A word everyone receives a taste of in their teenage years. She did. The first few sips were offered by those who called themselves her friends.聽
There was barely a cloud in the sky, and all the stars twinkled. The full moon shone, casting a beautiful glow on all those who ventured out. The soft sounds of the waves crashing and the muffled ripples of the water filled her with a sense of calmness. The kind one can only experience near the ocean. As she took a few steps forward, the waves washed away her sorrows. Drowning her tears in the salty water, she let go.聽
She was numb, and she knew the water had nothing to do with it. As she returned to the shore, her olive skin glistened with water.
She returned to the fire and sat on one of the logs. A few stared at her, but she was blind to all those around her. She looked straight at the fire.
The one good thing she could keep going, she ruined.
Maybe curses are real, for it felt so to her.聽
Her heart was happy, but her soul crawled.聽
Her eyes held a glimmer that never died. Not when she set sail to the darkest of oceans, nor when she cried dark clouds of tears. The fire roaring in her soul was reflected in her deep brown eyes.
She got up, her legs a little less numb. Her house was a little far, but under a moonlit night and stars in the sky, who needed a roof.
