So, I read your delicious Lena and Azriel fic and it slayyyeddd me. I don't know if I'll be able to read Azriel with anyone ever again, they are made for each other. Okay, I lie, I stan Elriel, but I'll need some time hahah. I was wondering if you are still planning on finishing it or if you have moved on to other fics? Either way THANK YOU for giving me a awesome bubble to exist in on my day off :)
Oh wow thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed it!!! It means the world to know that people spend their time reading my content, seriously. And I DO want to finish that fic, I actually have an ending written but I absolutely hate it and can’t bring myself to post it. I’m pretty sick right now (I’ve actually been in the hospital bc my appendix burst - merry Christmas lol), and January I’ll be moving but February is a really slow month for me so I want to rework the whole thing. Thanks again for taking the time to tell me you enjoyed my work, it means so much!!! ✨

Moe’s ACOTAR December One-Shots #5 - Nessian and a Snow Fall
Every other day in December I’m going to be posting a Christmas/winter themed one-shot for either Elriel, Feysand, or Nessian. They’ll be tagged under “moes winter writing” so make sure to check all of them out.
Almost all of these prompts are directly from or variations of this post.
Please like and reblog!

Moe’s Christmas One-Shot Number Five:
Nessian - I was just watching the snowfall peacefully when suddenly a bODY FELL PAST THE WINDOW OMG ARE YOU PUTTING UP CHRISTMAS LIGHTS RIGHT NOW
~~~~
“Alright Nesta we’re heading out! Are you sure you don’t need anything?”
Nesta leaned against the counter, reminding herself to smile at her sisters as they put on their coats. Feyre raised her brow waiting for an answer.
“No, I’m okay really.”
“Nothing at all?” Elain asked, bouncing on her toes with excitement while pulling on her gloves. “We’ll probably go to a couple different stores, if there’s anything you need—”
“Elain it’s fine, really,” Nesta assured her. “You two have fun though.”
Truth be told, Nesta wanted her sisters to hurry up and go. She loathed Christmas shopping, and Feyre and Elain had far more people to buy presents for than she did. Which was how Nesta liked it.
“Alright fine,” Feyre conceded. “But just text me if you think of anything, okay? We shouldn’t be gone long.”
Nesta resisted the urge to scoff. Her sisters were meeting up with two of the three imbeciles who lived in the apartment above them, and if their track record was anything to go by, they’d be out for a while.
Feyre had started dating the middle imbecile Rhysand shortly after they had moved into this apartment, and Elain had followed suit with Azriel, the least imbecilic of the three boys, only a month later.
Nesta thanked the heavens every day that neither of her sisters had been swooned over by the most idiotic of the trio, the king of all imbeciles — Cassian.
“Alright Nesta we’re heading out! Are you sure you don’t need anything?”
Nesta leaned against the counter, reminding herself to smile at her sisters as they put on their coats. Feyre raised her brow waiting for an answer.
Truth be told, Nesta wanted her sisters to hurry up and go. She loathed Christmas shopping, and Feyre and Elain had far more people to buy presents for than she did. Which was how Nesta liked it.
“Alright fine,” Feyre conceded. “But just text me if you think of anything, okay? We shouldn’t be gone long.”
Nesta resisted the urge to scoff. Her sisters were meeting up with two of the three imbeciles who lived in the apartment above them, and if their track record was anything to go by, they’d be out for a while.
Feyre had started dating the middle imbecile Rhysand shortly after they had moved into this apartment, and Elain had followed suit with Azriel, the least imbecilic of the three boys, only a month later.
Nesta thanked the heavens every day that neither of her sisters had been swooned over by the most idiotic of the trio, the king of all imbeciles — Cassian.
Ugh, Cassian. He was loud and brutish and rude and condescending and the worst. He was also terribly smitten with Nesta and made sure to remind her every time he came over with the two other idiots to see her sisters.
And his nicknames for her drove her crazy. It was always “love” this, and “dearest” that, and “my tart little honeybun” such and such. The idiot seemed to think that once he found the right nickname for her, she would somehow be won over by his embarrassing flirting tactics.
Seven months living in the same building and he still hadn’t broken her icy exterior. He’d come close a few times … not that he needed to know that though.
“You guys have fun, stay out as long as you want,” Nesta said, focusing on her sisters once more. “Trust me, I’m going to enjoy the alone time.”
“Let me guess,” Feyre said with a smirk and one foot out the door, “you’re going to sit in the window seat with a cup of tea and a book and stare at the snow for three hours?”
“Good job, Fey. You’re practically a detective. Now get out.”
“Have fun!” Elain’s enthusiasm was genuine as she and Feyre finally headed out into the snowy, wintery afternoon.
Oh trust me, I will, Nesta thought to herself as she released a heavy sigh. She immediately felt about ten times lighter. Nesta loved her sisters — of course — but holidays were always a bit more draining with them. She always felt obligated to force more smiles and more “holiday cheer” this time of year.
Not that Nesta didn’t enjoy the holidays, because she actually did. But her version of enjoyment was typically more … calm than other people’s. Hence her beloved reading window seat and tea.
Snuggled in her favorite pair of leggings and a heavy sweater, Nesta promptly made her way to said window seat with the first novel of a new series she was excited to start. Minutes later she was more content than ever with headphones in, a blanket thrown over her legs, and the first chapter officially started.
Time always got away from Nesta when she started reading, and that evening was no exception. Hours had passed, and the tea got cold, but Nesta was solely focused on the world this book had created for her: a prince, an assassin, and a runaway princess.
And then the unthinkable happened — the character that Nesta had thought was the prince the entire time, was in fact the assassin.
“What?!” Nesta shouted, slamming the book shut and staring at the window with her jaw dropped.
After a few minutes to gather her thoughts, Nesta finally snapped back to reality. Checking her phone, she realized she had been engrossed in the book for about two hours. The sun had almost gone all the way down and Feyre and Elain still hadn’t returned. However Elain had sent a picture of she, Feyre, Rhysand, and Azriel all wearing Santa hats. Even Nesta could admit that it was a cute picture.
Rubbing her tired eyes, she turned her attention to the window, deciding to take a break from the book before it sent her into cardiac arrest.
The snow fall had gotten heavier, it was at least a foot high on the ground now. Stars were starting to peek out, and it was … beautiful. Peaceful. Overwhelmingly stunning and—
“Holy shit!”
Nesta flailed off of the seat as someone fell past the window with a shout of their own.
A person. A literal human person fell past her window to the ground below. A body just fell to the ground outside her window holy shit holy shit holy—
“Shit!”
Nesta jumped to her feet faster than she knew possible, running out the door without even bothering to put on shoes. She raced around the building, barely noting the cold starting to seep into her bones as she grabbed the side of the building to keep her from busting her ass while skidding around the corner.
“Hold on!” She shouted, her hair flying behind her and snowflakes landing in her eyelashes. “Please don’t be dead, please don’t be dead, please don’t be—”
“Owwww … fucking hell that hurt.”
Nesta came to a screeching halt. Snow flew up around her at the sudden stop, almost high enough to reach her knees.
She knew that voice. She also recognized the unruly brown head of hair and the giant brute that it was attached to.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” She stomped over to stand over him, hands on her hips as he closed his eyes and groaned in pain, covered in snow. “Are you paralyzed?”
Cassian blinked his eyes open slowly, a slow and stupid grin overtaking his features as he looked up at her. “Nesta?” Just as quickly he groaned in pain yet again as he moved his knees.
“Okay, you’re not paralyzed. But still stupid!”
“Ouch, ouch, stop it woman!” Cassian flinched as Nesta kicked both his ankles. He pulled himself up to lean back on his elbows, staring up at her in both awe and confusion. “What are you doing out here? Why are you kicking me?”
Nesta scoffed, pressing her palm to her forehead and taking a deep, cold breath.
“I am out here because you fell past my window and I thought you were dead you thoughtless oaf!”
“Aw you came to check on me?”
“And I’m kicking you right now because you are so — damn —”
“Stop it, stop it!” Cassian jumped to his feet, wincing as his back and knees popped at the motion. “Oww, that’s going to hurt tomorrow.”
“What the hell were you even doing that made you … were you hanging up Christmas lights, Cassian?” Nesta asked incredulously, looking up at the balcony that Cassian had clearly fallen from. “By yourself?!”
“Your confidence in me is so flattering, my dearest dovetail Nesta.”
“Do not call me dovetail ever again.”
“But yes, I was hanging up Christmas lights because if I recall correctly, somebody told me last week that our apartment looked drab and sad. So why are you yelling at me for trying to do something about it, hotcakes?”
“Stop that. And I didn’t mean you needed to put up lights in the snow by yourself! No wonder you fell and almost died!”
Cassian rolled his eyes, shrugging off his coat. “I didn’t almost die, Nes. The snow cushioned most of the fall.” He stepped forward, swinging the coat around Nesta’s shoulders. She was too busy fuming to even notice.
“Cassian I know you think you’re practically invincible but you can’t just go around falling from balconies!”
“I’ve already fallen for you, Nesta my blooming sunflower, the balcony was nothing.”
“Don’t joke about this, Cassian! You actually scared me!”
Cassian froze with his mouth open, quickly snapping it shut and holding back whatever other stupid nickname he had clearly been preparing to try out. Nesta sighed, blinking away the snowflakes from her eyes.
With a start, she realized that Cassian was now only wearing a thin long sleeve shirt since he had put his coat around her shoulders and was now holding both of her hands in his, lifting them to his mouth to blow warm air on her fingers.
Was their odd relationship becoming so familiar that she didn’t even take note of him moving closer to her? Touching her?
“You were sitting in the window seat?” he asked quietly after another warm blow of air into her cold hands. Nesta wanted to bite a retort, but at the change in tone she realized just how cold she was. She resigned herself to a nod, unable to pull herself away from him and his warmth. Cassian chuckled, shuffling on his feet. “Reading a new book I take it?”
Nesta rolled her eyes, her body shaking but undoubtedly not as cold as Cassian must have been covered in snow from the fall and now lacking a jacket.
“It’s a g-good book. And you interrupted me by falling from the window y-you idiot.”
Cassian chuckled. “I beg your forgiveness, my dearest — wait, Nesta, are you not wearing shoes?”
Nesta didn’t even have time to form a response before Cassian was bending down and lifting her up into his arms bridal style. Nesta squeaked, unable to feel her toes at that point.
“Running out into the snow with no shoes on,” Cassian muttered as he began the walk through the snow to Nesta’s apartment, “it’s like you’re trying to give me a heart attack, Nes.”
“You’re the one that fell from a window!” Nesta snapped, though it didn’t hold the considerable amount of bite that she normally reserved for him.
“It was more of a tumble than a fall…”
“You are insufferable.”
“And you came out to save me all the same,” Cassian said with a grin, kicking open the girls’s apartment door that Nesta had left ajar. “My hero, Nesta.”
“Says the guy carrying me into my own apartment.”
“I’ll gladly be your hero anytime, my little muffin top.”
“I don’t think you know what that phrase usually refers to.”
“Come on, sit down.” Cassian gently — more gently than she had seen him do anything — sat Nesta down on the couch, grabbing the blanket off the adjacent chair and wrapping it around her freezing feet that he promptly pulled into his lap. “Came out to save me like a really feisty angel, sweetheart. I won’t forget that anytime soon.”
Cassian chuckled, continuing to warm Nesta’s feet and oblivious to the way she was watching him.
All of his stupid nicknames for her tended to drive her crazy, but that one was new.
Sweetheart.
She didn’t mind that one. Not at all, she thought to herself as the cold receded and a pleasant warmth began to spread through her.
Cassian finally felt her staring at him and lifted his gaze to meet hers. One blink was his only tell of surprise before that familiar grin overtook his annoyingly handsome features.
“What’s that look for?” he asked with a knowing smirk.
“I don’t mind that one.”
“Don’t mind … what one?”
“Sweetheart. I … I don’t mind that nickname. if you’re going to insist on the pet names, that one isn’t exactly … the worst. I guess.”
Cassian’s answering smile was all it took to warm the rest of her body. And maybe a piece of her heart, too.
“Well then” Cassian murmured, slowly moving his hand up Nesta’s leg, his eyes on hers the whole time, “I think I need to fall from windows more often.”
“Don’t even joke about that.”
“Whatever you say, sweetheart.”
Moe’s ACOTAR December One-Shots #4 - Elriel in the Hospital (1.9k words)
Every other day in December I’m going to be posting a Christmas/winter themed one-shot for either Elriel, Feysand, or Nessian. They’ll be tagged under “moes winter writing” so make sure to check all of them out.
Almost all of these prompts are directly from or variations of this post.
Moe’s Christmas One-Shot Number Four:
Elriel - I decorated your hospital room for Christmas when you were sleeping
~~~
Elain had never been more thankful for an empty house as she danced around with Christmas music blaring and decorated the apartment she shared with her sisters.
Nesta and Feyre had been whisked away by Rhys and Cassian on a surprise double-couple getaway to the Bahamas just one day ago, and of course Elain loved her sisters and enjoyed celebrating the holidays with them, but the sisters could always just celebrate and exchange their gifts after New Years.
For now, Elain was enjoying the hell out of having the apartment all to herself.
All three of the Archeron sisters were homebodies by nature, and they loved living together, but it also meant that when Elain — the most introverted of all three — needed her alone time, it was practically an impossibility.
Rhys and Cassian had been so nervous when they’d asked her back at Thanksgiving if she would be alright with them whisking her sisters away for Christmas and New Year’s Day and the boys hadn’t even gotten the question all the way before Elain had shouted “Yes! Take them!” at their beautiful, surprised faces.
Which was what led to Elain being positively filled to the brim with joy as ‘Santa Baby’ rang through the apartment while she threw tinsel around like a madwoman, clad only in green thigh high reindeer covered socks and a heavy red sweater over her underwear. No pants needed when nobody else was at home.
This was Elain’s idea of a good time. Alone, dancing, Christmas decorations, and the smell of cookies baking in the oven. And no one else around.
It was a wonder she heard the ring of her cell phone over the loud music. She sighed, running over and turning off the speakers before reading the caller ID.
