Omg I love this so much LMAO I enjoyed reading your sentiments word per word 😂
Cheers to us single people who turn to smut when times get rough and wet! So glad and thankful to be a part of this list!!!
SO...
Been thankin'....
The talented fic writers on this app (and others) work their (probably arthritic) fingers to the bone pushing out all this glorious, smutty (angsty, fluffy...blah-blah-blah, ya'll know all the adjectives) content. Get us all hot and bothered, right? Shovel the coals of lust and desire onto our most sordid fantasies, right?
Tumblr media
... and I sat here reeeeally ruminating... really "chewing on it", if u would 🤔🤔🤔...
Some of ya'll have significant others at the damn crib that u can take all your churning genital indulgences out on after u write this filth and us single muhfuckas only have sexual frustration and broken vibrators to keep us warm!
Therefore I say unto you...with all due respect and all the love in my cold and quivering heart...
💢🖕🏾💢... but ❤, cuz I love ya!

Ahhh yesss thank you for including my recent Steven Grant angst!
I loved causing my readers pain writing it 😂
Tumblr media
Hello friends! Last two months were just madness but I'm back! I finally had time to get up to date with my tbr and to put together this little list!
I wanna remind you just how important reblogs and feedback are! While I was less active some of my favourite writers have decided to deactivate or delete their works because they didn't get enough recognition. My heart is broken but I can't blame them, I totally understand it. So please - if you read and enjoy a story, share it with others and give it some love!! Thank you!
To all the writers - I love you and I appreciate you so much!
To all the readers - please, share the fics you read and love. The reblog really makes the change! It’s the least we can do to show our gratitude.
Also, please, mind the writers’ warnings!

“How did we meet?”
“I don’t know, can’t remember. Put your feet down.” Marc reprimanded as he drove.
You rolled your eyes and removed your feet from the dashboard, straightening up on the seat. It was barely eight in the morning and the two of you were already headed out to meet Bucky and Naomi at the foot of the mountain.
“Why aren’t you taking this seriously?” You huffed out.
Marc shrugged, “I don’t know, maybe because I haven’t had my coffee yet? I’m supposed to be resting, not driving to go on a hike.” He complained.
You groaned, “You were supposed to meet me the other day so we could align on our love story! I swear to god, Marc, if Bucky finds out the truth then it’s all over for me.”
Marc grinned, “Sounds like a plan.” He merely said and gave you a warning glare when you cursed him and placed your feet back on the dashboard.
You let out another frustrated grunt as you crossed your arms over your chest. Out of all the people you could have asked a favor from, why did you end up with someone like Marc?!
“Stop rubbing your heel onto the dashboard, you’re getting it all dusty!” Marc scolded.
You flattened the sole of your shoes and rubbed even harder instead.
-
“I have never met someone as annoying as you, christ!” Marc said as he walked ahead of you.
Apparently, you couldn’t drive directly to the foot of the mountain because of the narrow trail so you and Marc had to hike for a few minutes. Not even five minutes into the hike and you were already whining about being tired.
“I have never hiked my entire life okay?!” You panted, stopping to rest for a bit.
Marc turned back but didn’t stop walking, “Then you shouldn’t have agreed to join today.”
You straightened up and tried to catch up to Marc, “Shut up!” You hissed and adjusted your backpack.
Marc was still a few feet away from you when he finally stopped. He turned to you and held out his hand, widening his eyes.
“What are you doing?” You panted.
“Hurry up and hold my hand, I can see them already.” He said and impatiently beckoned for you to come.
You whined softly, swallowing hard before taking a deep breath in. With hurried yet unstable steps, you approached Marc and laced your fingers with his.
“Ew, why is your palm so sweaty?!” You complained and tried letting go but Marc held your hand tighter.
“And you already smell like the sun.” He retorted before tugging you close and waving at Naomi who immediately noticed the both of you.
You immediately caught sight of Bucky and your heart almost skipped a beat at how good he looked in his tight Underarmour shirt. Unconsciously, you gripped Marc’s hand tighter when Bucky approached you both.
“Glad you two could make it.” He said.
Marc nodded, “Wouldn’t miss this out for the world.” He said, tone a bit too confident for standing next to you who was already gasping for air.
Naomi approached as well and greeted you, “Thank you so much for joining! I’ve always wanted to hike with another couple, this is going to be fun!” She almost squealed in excitement.
“I bet it’ll be fun.” You said half-heartedly.
“We should get going, the hike up to the top will take at least two hours.” Bucky said, leading the group.
Your eyes widened, “Two hours?!”
Bucky looked at you with an amused gaze, “At least.”
Looking up at Marc, he gave you a nonchalant shrug and went ahead.
-
The hike was the worst thing you have ever experienced in your entire life. First of all, you weren’t even that athletic to do so. You never had any sort of training and you rarely worked out so this activity was your ninth circle of hell.
What made you even more annoyed was the fact that Naomi still looked stunning after more than two hours of walking! She looked fresh and wasn’t panting like a fucking horse after a race. You, on the other hand, was already fighting for your life just half an hour into the hike!
“You good back there, baby?” Marc asked teasingly, glancing back at you.
You glared at him and gave him the finger instead of responding. He didn’t even offer to help you out with your things, so much for being a pretend boyfriend.
“Guys, we made it! Come quick, the view is stunning!” Naomi called out.
Thank fuck! You and Marc followed suit and indeed, the view from the top was stunning. Too bad you were too exhausted to actually appreciate it.
“We can set up our tent here so we can camp for a while.” Naomi said, putting down all of her stuff.
You frowned, fighting the urge to groan and complain about staying outdoors. When you turned to Marc, he was already taking out his stuff and surprisingly, he seemed to be really prepared.
Everyone seemed to be doing something except for you. What were you supposed to do anyway? Find wood for a campfire so that you can sing along with your past fling and his new girl?
“Can someone gather wood for a campfire?” Naomi asked.
What a coincidence, you snorted to yourself before absentmindedly raising your hand.
“I’ll do it.” You volunteered.
It should be simple, right? Just pick up wood and that’s it. Marc was about to stand up to maybe offer to accompany you but Naomi called him and asked for his help in setting up their tent.
“I’ll go with you.” Your heart raced at Bucky’s voice.
Naomi thanked you and went on to work with Marc while Bucky walked over to you, handing you a bottle of insect repellent lotion before leading the way.
“What’s this for?” You asked as you trailed behind him.
“Didn’t you mention that you hated getting insect bites? It’s why you refused to go hiking with me before, remember? I’m surprised you agreed to join us today.” He said and bent down to check on a chunk of wood on the ground.
Bucky gently held your waist and switched places with you as the both of you walked down the street. The movie date was great and as usual, Bucky offered to walk you home.
“Sam and I are going hiking this weekend. Come with us.” He said.
You scrunched your nose, “Oh god, I’m not an outdoorsy person.”
Bucky chuckled, “Just try it, you might enjoy.” He insisted.
You shook your head, “I’m not a big fan of insects, Bucky. For some reason they like my blood.” You shuddered at the thought.
Bucky stepped in front of you and playfully blocked your way, “C’mon, I’ll bring an insect repellent lotion for you?” He offered, giving you his puppy eyes.
“Are you bribing me, Mister Barnes?” You teasingly asked.
Bucky smiled and nodded, “I’ll carry your stuff. I’ll carry you too if you get tired. Come with me?” He asked again.
You debated for a moment before giving Bucky an apologetic smile, “I’m sorry but I’m gonna pass on the hike. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
Of course you remember, it was only a few weeks into going out that Bucky brought it up. It was more surprising that he actually remembered about it.
Not wanting to make it obvious that you were affected by him remembering something as small as that, you kept your chin up and pretended to be nonchalant about it.
“Bold of you to assume I didn’t apply insect repellent yet. And people change, Bucky. I’ll have you know that Marc and I go hiking almost every week.” You lied and followed Bucky closely behind.
Bucky chuckled, standing up straight to look at you, “Well, did you?” He asked.
“Did I what?” You asked back.
“Put on insect repellent before heading out.” He clarified.
You bit the insides of your cheek and shrugged, “No. I forgot.” You admitted.
Bucky laughed and tilted his head, “You’re welcome.” He said before continuing to collect wood.
The both of you walked around in silence, with Bucky doing the collecting while you followed like a lost puppy. He sighed and then turned around to face you, his brows furrowed into his forehead.
“Are you really just gonna stand around and follow me?” He asked, but he didn’t sound mad.
You gulped, “N-no. I’m collecting wood too, see?” You said and picked up the first thing you saw.
Bucky stared at the wood in your hand and then you…and then back at the wood before slowly approaching you. You could hear your heart thump against your ribcage when Bucky towered over you, keeping his eyes on yours.
“That's damp wood, it’s harder to make fire with that.” He explained, taking the wood from your hand before throwing it away.
“You sure this isn’t your first time hiking?” He asked, narrowing his eyes at you suspiciously.
Fuck. You weren’t going to let one mistake ruin your plan. Instead of cowering, you puffed out your chest and lifted an eyebrow at Bucky.
“No. It’s just that Marc does it all the time. He treats me really well, Bucky.” You said.
Bucky held your gaze for a few seconds before shrugging, “That’s good.”
It was all that he said before walking away to continue with his task. Was that jealousy or was he just deadpan about it? You hated how hard it was to read Bucky, maybe you should bring up Marc and talk about him?
“Marc made hiking really enjoyable for me, you know?” You said out loud, bending down to check on the twigs scattered on the ground.
Bucky hummed, “Glad he did.” He curtly replied.
“I mean, the great outdoors scared me but I don’t know, I ended up loving it.” You said, cringing a bit when you saw a large bug appear from beneath the twigs you picked up.
You kept on talking about how Marc helped you learn to love nature, blabbering about how protective he was of you and all that you got from Bucky were hums and one-word replies.
Too busy thinking about what to say to get a reaction out from Bucky, you didn’t realize that he had already walked farther away from you. When you snapped back to reality, you noticed that he was quite far already and you panicked, not wanting to get lost in the woods.
“Hey, wait up!” You yelled and ran, cursing each time a bunch of leaves or vines hit you in the face.
There was a bit of a slope and you were quick to grab onto the trunk of a tree as support, however, you ended up holding onto a protruding branch and ended up slicing your palm.
You yelped in pain and cursed out loud, grabbing Bucky’s attention. He ran over to you and took your wrist, sighing when he saw the gash across your palm.
“Oh my god, it’s bleeding. It’s bleeding, there’s a lot of blood! I think I’m gonna pass out, Bucky.” You looked away from the wound and took deep breaths to calm yourself.
Bucky took out a handkerchief from his pocket and quickly pressed it against your hand. You hissed in pain and ended up squeezing his arm.
“You’re alright, just calm down. I got you, okay? We need to head back and clean up your wound, make sure it doesn’t get infected.” Bucky coaxed.
You groaned from the throbbing pain that was slowly becoming hard to ignore, “Am I gonna lose my hand?!” You asked, your anxiety getting the best of you.
Bucky couldn’t help but chuckle at your reaction, “No, you won’t. Come on, let’s get you back.” He said and made sure to guide you with a hand on the small of your back while keeping his handkerchief pressed on your palm.
When you finally reached the camp, Bucky immediately called Naomi and asked her to bring their first aid kit. Marc frowned and stood up, “What happened?” He asked.
Bucky sighed, “She got wounded by a branch.” He explained, showing your bleeding hand.
Marc fought the urge to roll his eyes and instead, took your arm and carefully pulled you away from Bucky, “I got her.” He said, taking the handkerchief and handing it back to Bucky.
You noticed that Bucky seemed to want ro say something but decided against it. He merely nodded and looked at you before nodding.
Marc brought you into the fully set up tent and zipped it close before allowing you to sit on the ground.
“What the fuck did you do?” He whispered harshly, shaking his head while taking out his first aid kit.
You still refused to look at your hand, “I don’t know! It was an accident!”
Marc let out a defeated sigh and observed your palm, “You’re lucky this doesn’t need any stitches.” He said, “But disinfecting this is gonna sting.” He warned.
All you could do was whimper in pain as you watched Marc pour alcohol on a bunch of gauze put together. He lifted an eyebrow at you as he took your hand, “You ready?” He asked.
You bit down your bottom lip and nodded. Marc didn’t waste time and pressed down the gauze soaked in alcohol. Before you could even let out a scream, his other hand clamped around your mouth, muffling the inhumane sound you just made.
“Why do I get the feeling that I’ll have to babysit you for the rest of the day?” Marc commented, cleaning up your wound and blowing on it to slightly ease the sting.
He removed his hand from your mouth when you calmed down and wiped it on your shirt, making a disgusted face when he realized you got some of your saliva on his palm.
“I wanna go home.” You stated.
Marc ran his fingers through his hair, “Then you shouldn’t have agreed to join!” He hissed in frustration.
“I know, I regret it now!” You admitted, groaning deeply when Marc proceeded to apply antibacterial ointment on your gash.
“Then focus on your mission to…I don’t know, make Bucky jealous or something! Let’s just get this over with, okay?” Marc said, clearly exhausted when the day had barely begun.
He finished patching up your hand, wrapping a bandage around it. You lifted your hand and turned it, checking the bandage and appreciating Marc’s work.
“Thank you.” You softly said.
“And I’m sorry for dragging you today.” You quickly added.
Marc waved a hand, “You can apologize by making me dinner tonight.”
“Not with my right hand injured.” You said, lifting it up and grimacing at the tiny splotch of blood beginning to soak through the bandage.
Marc threw his head back, mumbling something incoherent before looking at you with utter disdain.
“Buy me dinner instead. I want steak, the expensive kind.” He said.
“Only if you do a good job at being my boyfriend today.” You negotiated, crossing your arms over your chest.
You could see the way Marc’s nostrils flared as he let out a defeated sigh. He closed his eyes as if he was internalizing before heaving out a deep breath.
And then he grabbed your face and quickly planted a soft kiss on your forehead. You felt your neck grow hot at the affection but you simply ignored it.
“Watch and see how I become the best boyfriend in the world in the name of steak.”
