Still looking for a @dineoutvanfest restaurant? I tried the Dine Out menu @atlasburnaby and it was one of the better #dineoutvancouver meals I’ve had. For $45 it’s worth the price. Bonus: free parking because it’s at @grandvillacasino 👏🏼 I had the Beef carpaccio (definitely recommend it!), the West Coast cut Certified Angus Beef Striploin Steak (upgrade to 14oz for $12) and the Vanilla Cheesecake. Um k I’m on a diet for my wedding which is why I haven’t posted anything yet this year but I realized I have tons of photos I haven’t posted yet sooo gimme a minute to reminisce about all of the amazing food I was blessed with in 2018 ✨❤️. With goals and everyone’s new year new me resolutions I’m going to put it out there that in the past year, the Instagram world has really changed (for me). I try my best not to get caught up with numbers (followers, likes, engagement, etc) but sometimes I can’t help but compare and self doubt. I question why some posts don’t get as many likes etc and often need to take a step back from this whole social media world. I remind myself this is totally a third world problem but do acknowledge this is how society and the world is now. We live in a world where a social media presence is almost as (or even more) important to some people as their true, daily presence. I’m grateful for everything Instagram and social media has given me and my motto this year is to not give a f about what other ppl are doing. @pepinosspaghettihouse is one of my new favourite restaurants this year. I love all of their proteins, their pastas never disappoint (looove their meat sauce!), I always eat way too much of their bread + butter and their house avocado salad is a must-order. I def recommend coming here if you’re craving comfort food— it’s great for both celebrations and casual low key nights. . Thank you to my lovely friends who brought me here for my birthday (ty @sciscar @cheesemeese @angellacamille @aubumms & grace) I loved it so much @pbaja and I celebrated our anniversary here shortly after ❤️ . Tbh I found the lasagna too cheesy for me (I know, is there even such a thing?) cause I found there was too much cheese:lasagna pasta ratio but the flavour was still delicious. It also may be too rich if you’re sensitive to dairy. If you’re planning on visiting Seattle sometime soon, I ~highly~ recommend checking out @fremontbowl !! I saw it on numerous Vancouver + Seattle foodies’ pages and knew I had to check it out for myself. The seafood is fresh and everything is delicious. So I finally went to @kokoro_mazesoba!! I know I’m super late to the game and honestly I didn’t have high expectations of the place... but I ended up really liking it. I had the (bestseller) Niku mazesoba (slow-braised pork chasu, spicy minced pork, raw egg yolk, garlic, gr onion, seaweed flakes, ground saba, chives on their multi grain house made noodles). It was spicier than I thought it would be & personally I thought adding vinegar to it made it ten times tastier. I didn’t finish the noodles but still ordered rice cause I wanted to try it (you get a free order of rice to eat with the leftover sauce once you’re finished your noodles). 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 I wanna go back to try more of the menu but tbh I’ll probably order the same thing 😂 . .
