24…minus the Jack Bauer

Yup. So I’m 24 today. As of 1:06 AM. I guess it’s about time for a quarter-life crisis.

I was at an acting coach a while ago and I was filling out this little questionaire thingy in the waiting room. They ask for the range of what ages you could play. Thus far as a crappy little actor I’ve played a 30+ murder suspect on Law and Order, and I was in talks to play a 15 year old Oklahoma boy. I guess I figured that was my range so I wrote it down. Looking at those numbers though, it felt kinda weird. I feel like I could convincingly be either but nothing in between. Like I’m missing my 20’s and I’m not even halfway through them. You get a mortgage and you drive a Civic and you take your dog to the vet and pretty soon you find yourself going to bed at 11 and begrudgingly becoming a morning person. I guess in retrospect, 23 felt a lot more like what I thought 33 would feel like. I guess I’ll have to wait 10 years to know for sure. But then I feel like I’m still a little-ass kid in a lot of ways. I realized I’ve never seen the Godfather movies. Or like Caddyshack. Cause I’m a kid. And I have a lot more to do with my life. Like see the Godfather. And Caddyshack. And then there’s the fact that I’m a little dude at a towering 5'4…closer to 5'5…but I feel like when you’re as short as I am, if you’re really grabbing at those percentiles of an inch that’s just sad. I’d rather round down. But the point is I’ll always be looking up to everybody like when you’re a toddler. I mean, I can’t grow a beard yet. I shaved my sideburns a few months back and I got carded everywhere I went for a couple weeks. I guess it’s like how Yoda tells Luke his mind is never on where he is or what he’s doing. And I’m still young enough to think that’s a relevant analogy.

Kareem is an ER surgeon with family members who have worsening medical conditions and can no longer stay in Gaza. They need help to evacuate to Egypt.

Moamin is SO CLOSE to their goal and being able to evacuate their huge family out of Gaza!!

Hassan & His Family of 10

Hassan has eight children in his family, and bed-ridden himself- facing the possibility of having his leg amputated. They are seeking to evacuate Gaza for better health and a more sterile environment.

Sara's Family

Sara's family is currently in Gaza, while her ill father made it to Egypt, much of her family is still in Gaza and wants nothing more than to get them out.

Alaa, Ola, & Hanaan

Alaa and Ola are both mothers of young children and are looking for support in the way of diapers, formula, passports, visas, etc. They're hope is to leave their home, as much as thay hurts to do.

Another fundraiser I trust!

I've just had a long conversation with @haneenatya, I know a lot of people were asking me if she was a legit account and I couldn't fully answer before, but now I know for sure she is real and legit and this fundraiser has already been vetted before independently by this group on IG, and I got some proof myself as well.

This is a genuine fundraiser and a genuine tumblr account. Please help this family evacuate, they had a lot of hope of being able to restart their lives elsewhere. They have already lost more family members than most people reading this have in their entire extended family.

i think a big reason tiktok has such a fugly toxic culture is directly due to the amount of censorship hoops you have to jump through. the amount of 72 comment long arguments I've seen that could have been ended 71 comments ago if they were allowed to say like eat shit and die is insane

because a direct insult shuts the thing down immediately rather than them having to be all passive aggressive and 'why is nobody hating?' and shit that takes very little ownship of the fact they're being dickbags because they can't just say what they want or they'll be banned

which then leads to little jokey insults being the norm, people start commenting genuinely hurtful stuff because it's the new trendy insult that doesn't include the word kill or a swear without grasping that it is still an insult and still hurtful

so everyone's just spouting the same regurgitated shit in each comment section, bullying and insulting people in the name of being on trend
