Today’s AVOT hot take

Okay so in AVOT I gave Jimmy a condition called “Deep Sea Asthma” so basically he can’t breathe in shallow water or on land. The Codfather head is enchanted with a sort of reverse water breathing enchant created by Lizzie to make it so that he can breathe. Which is why he was so frantic about getting it back.

Also, while he was being tested in the deep sea dwelling (bear in mind this is like a thousand years in the past), one of the tests was racing Lizzie to see who could collect the most pearls in a short amount of time (Deep Sea Asthma causes breathlessness when swimming quickly). Lizzie collects all the pearls they find and a blue shell Jimmy gave her previously and makes a necklace out of them. When she goes on land and loses her memories, she never takes it off. It feels too important. There’s too much love there. And when she sees this new Swamp King, Cod Head and all, she can’t help but direct that lost love towards him.
