OH i actually got my main inspo from that one loading screen in FNV where it says "ghouls are not only immune to radiation...they are healed by it" and i decided to run with it. design wise i was quite inspired by jason bright :) casper doesnt glow but i really liked the pale look of jason. i feel like i saw some fanart of a character on pinterest (no clue where it was from) and went Huh. Neat. and had it at the back of my mind when drawing him

what's the longest Casper has gone without his kick o radiation 😳❓️

im not 100% sure quite yet but im going to go with that One Time where he got captured and taken prisoner by fiends - who only gave him the bare minimum amount of radiation through irradiated food/water that they personally couldnt stomach having. he was there for a good couple months...like maybe 6 (<- if that changes dont be annoyed im still figuring out dates)

How would u describe Caspers personality in 5 words

blunt / guarded / observant / protective / witty

blunt: hes really straightforward when he talks to people. hes the no nonsense kinda guy. if he doesnt like you he'll tell you, no doubts about it. being polite isnt all that important when the person is being dumb as shit. however thats not to say he doesnt know when to hold his tongue.

guarded: casper is incredibly secretive and guarded. he refuses to talk about his past, and only replies with vague details. the only people who know about him and his 'condition' (to an extent) are arcade, raul, and my courier. hes also incredibly good at keeping secrets, even if the secret is Quite Severe, and will never tell on anyone.

caspers also like super Super dry. his Ch stat is like a 3. if you ever talk to him for the first time its like squeezing blood from a stone

observant: his perception stat of 7 is quite obvious. he loves people watching and picking them apart without actually talking to them. in a group setting he much prefers being in the background, taking in the atmosphere and listening in

protective: along with keeping secrets casper is INCREDIBLY loyal. once he warms up to you he'll be the best guard dog you can get. he also never, ever breaks promises/deals - no matter what it entails. a good example was that my courier helped him out when they first met...and since then casper has kept up his end of the bargain; becoming a companion and helping joey on his adventures

witty: you cant tell at first but hes very tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic, even sly. he likes it when people are quick thinking and can withstand it - or even join in with their own witty remarks

i finally feel ready to share my favourite fallout oc currently !!!!! :D his name is Casper...and ive got a butt load of info below the cut u_u

his full name is Casper Gallowsman ! hes 31 and was born on October 31st. hes 6’0” tall and pretty well built, body of a soldier, although a bit on the lean side. his clothes consist of an old NCR utility suit he took and modified. casper hangs around Freeside mainly, getting stuck into any manual labour job he can get himself into. he especially likes helping the followers since Arcade is one of his friends :) Raul is his other companion too, along with Rex, which he got as a gift from the Kings after doing some odd jobs here and there. he also scavenges as a half-gig, looking around buildings and finding pre-war items to sell. he died april 16th, 1945

casper is something ive decided to call a Revenant - a variation of a ghoul that, unlike your usual ghoul whos a heavily irradiated human, was a corpse that was resurrected through heavy radiation.

revenants NEED frequent contact with radiation to regenerate their body and, in turn, to look human/alive. without it their body decomposes and looks like your traditional ghoul. too little of it for too long…and theres a chance of turning feral. or dying. lose lose situation

and thats all im willing to share for now... ;p expect lots of art of him in the near future. i love him so very very dearly

I love middle aged Benny headcanons but it think it is marginally funnier if Benny is mid 20s for 3 reasons:

Him at 17/18 taking over the Boot Riders and getting that god awful suit that he doesn’t event fill out yet (like it just started fitting as of the game)

His brain not being fully developed which does not help his canon INT stat of 3

You’re not my dad conversations between him and House that are supposed to be business oriented but Benny is getting pseudo grounded.

Also being a manlet and young is so funny seeing as he runs a casino and I bet he gets asked where his parents are by the other casinos as bullying cause he’s got chronic baby face.

im continuing my benny posting by sharing my benny hcs. in no particular order. and very quickly typed up. enjoy ^_^

- tattooed. he has lots and lots and lots of tattoos from when he was a boot rider. all kinds of tattoos. some desert themed, some things based around him, some others depicting things he just likes. he doesnt mind them much nowadays, hes so used to them that he sees them as part of his skin. although hes a little bit iffy about showing others his old tattoos. hes got an image to upkeep after all - speaking of boot riders. he got a canine knocked out by bingo during their fight. so he got a gold one fitted shortly after he became the leader of the chairmen. and it glints like hell - he wears lots of gold jewellery. especially pre-war rings. he prefers engraved ones, ones with little images etched into the metal or ones with short messages rather than ones with gems. he also wears a cross necklace under his shirt - despite his gun and necklace...hes not christian. like at all. he doesnt care for religion and hasnt read anything about the engraving on his pistol or the meaning of necklace. he just likes how flashy and elaborate the imagery looks - by the time the courier rolls around hes 31. he's also 5'5". - he has a dad bod. i will personally fistfight anyone who draws him muscular and dehydrated. living the cushy and comfortable life of a casino boss means hes not some lean bodybuilder - however...thats not to say he ISNT strong or that hes unhealthy. he has a really high endurance, and can last for a long while out in the desert. also he doesnt like admitting it but hes probably a fraction better at straight up punching someone than shooting them at point blank range - since he was always outside and always doing something, he used to have super calloused hands. but again, casino life means theyre much more pampered and soft now - however hes still got one hell of a grip. he can very easily grab you by your shirt and throw you out of the front door without even breaking a sweat - hes Bi. theres literally no way he isnt, fuck you. BUT he really isnt one for meaningful romantic connections, he much prefers something quick with zero extra baggage (i.e. one night stands, friends with benefits) - hes super nosy. and almost terrifyingly good at recognising and remembering faces. he sees a new face in the tops that he doesnt instantly match to a regular? he needs to know their name. and then he promptly loses all interest because the mystery is lost and the people turn out to be, by all things considered, really fucking boring - even further...anyone who doesnt fall for his charismatic charm (or, even worse, doesnt care about his reputation) becomes a nuisance and he NEEDS to at least form some sort of impression on them, be it good or bad. like full on “if you dont form an opinion about me i will pull my own hair out” - he used to have an absolute love for geckos. he didnt tame them, he was more so inclined to hunt than to nurture, but he would feed scraps to the younger ones - which meant they began to follow him around from time to time... not anymore though. he thinks theyre dirty and brutish and a reflection of what it was like to be a boot rider - hes called Benny Boots (mockingly) by people around the strip. at least by those who knows about the three families past. other than that his last name is Gecko. he also personally calls himself Benny 'New Vegas' sometimes as a sort of boastful title because he thinks hes the shining face (not the heart, mind you - thats House) of the strip - hes a huge morning person. its something he picked up, and cant get rid of, from the boot rider days. he wakes up super early in the morning, rising with the sun - and hates sleeping in because he feels like hes wasting time. he goes to sleep pretty late, since new vegas is awake at night, but he doesnt feel tired. a couple hours of sleep is good enough for him.
