ok here is why losing my religion (finn cast version) makes me cry:

i have made up this entire au in my head where finn and kurt have been brothers for way longer and grew up together and whenever i hear this cover i think about it in the context of kurt hearing it after finns death specifically the lines "trying to keep up with you" and "i thought that i heard you laughing i thought that i heard you sing i think i thought i saw you cry"

and then my brain plays a little montage of them as little kids and then growing up and then i start bawling :)

the fact that the line about "trying to keep up with you" can be connected to watching someone you grew up with move on without you and also to having to move on after someone has died makes me uhhhh lose my shit.

and "i thought that i heard you laughing i thought that i heard you sing" in the context of finn's death? bitch. im making myself go crazy here. and also AGAIN. watching someone grow up and leave when they've been at your side nearly your whole life and suddenly they're moving on without you... fuck me up gang. fuck me UP

and ik i said that i think about this in the context of my little brain au but i think about it in the context of canon too bc it applies almost equally
