sorry to be the one to say this but these are the most boring designs i have ever seen from cookie run kingdom, these are npc designs and arent anything special.

i feel like the artists are no longer pushing the designs of foods onto characters. like if you told me to guess creme brulee cookies flavour i would have no idea and would be so off. i have a few ideas on how to potentially make these designs 'better' but i'll do that later.

i definetly see you're point about how the koopalings are raised, wanting a mother and being fed this idea of the perfect one and now haveing someone who can fit this role. i think my frustration comes down with everything else you said, its the combination of feminenine traits that are typically the roles of heterosexual couple, all 'female' traits being pushed onto luigi and all 'male' traits to bowser.

its the lack of nuance that annoys me, why is bowser allowed to stay almost exactly like his cannon self but luigi is deminished to 'housewife' and an item?

it just feels like they took a bowser and peach fanfic and replaced peach with luigi. it feels like forced feminization's yknow? its very common with gay ships where the shorter or weaker one is essentially turned into a women to comply with heteronormative structures, and i think bowuigi has the WORST case i have ever seen in a fandom.

FINALLY somebody said it! I've kinda grown used to it where I just try to ignore how strange it is in fics I really do enjoy but wow it's everywhere.

To add to what you said something that will always make me uncomfortable is when they make Luigi a trans man but insist he wear dresses and have feminine titles like mama or queen, I get clothes are just clothes and doesn't make someones gender but it just gets weird how feminine people want to make him whenever hes in a same sex relationship with someone like with Bowser :\

ugh exactly! I tried to ignore it at first thinking that maybe the trope was gonna be a one time thing, but no! its everywhere from AO3. Wattpad, Fanfic net, etc. and there's hundreds of them.

and you're so right about the trans man thing. why would a transman want to be referred to by feminine titles like queen or mum, that's essentially just a constant reminder that he wasn't born a man and that type of dysphoria is the worst!

EDIT: a few people are a bit confused with what ive stated! i dont mind luigi in a dress, i actually love seeing it because its nice to see him in different clothes! its just the combination of everything stated before that frustrates me. hope thats understandable!

Diversity and Improvement Challenge

using cookie run characters!

have you been thinking that your art, specifically for human designs, has been lacking in uniqueness or challenge? well i have a wonderful challenge for you! This challenge uses the diverse list of cookie run characters as a way to help you diverge from 'same face/design syndrome' and create unique human character designs by letting you use pre-existing characters as a base.

What to do for each character!:

must draw 3 head shots. 1 (one) side angle and 2 (two) front facing with one of them having a strong/extreme facial expression and one with a natural expression

1 (one) standing pose

1 (one) 'action' full body pose (fighting, working, walking, playing etc.)

at least 1 (one) coloured drawing. these can be flat coloured or fully rendered but thats up to you.

canon clothes at all times. you may use alternative costumes that are available in game but nothing else. this is unless you would like to draw their body type clearly without interference of clothes!

small headcannons are allowed but they cannot be distracting to the original design. this is things like freckles or added accessories.

you do not have to worry about backgrounds!

this is not a daily challenge but can be and will help you improve faster.

Extra Rules/Tips:

no whitewashing of any kind! you are here to diversify your art so why would you? whitewashing includes cultural clothing and items, such as Pomegranate, of straightening black hairstyles, such as Licorice and Cyborgs hair which is clearly meant to look like dreadlocks

remind yourself of the age of the character! old characters, like prophet or Dark Cacao, should not look like young anime men dont be afraid to give them wrinkles. young characters should also not look like teens or adults, like poison or gingerbave, give softer features and roundness to the face and body.

no sexualising characters!

IF YOU ARE A FAN YOU WILL LOVE IT!

ignore everything you've heard, go in and come out with your own opinions! i think its one of the most clear telling's of a story that FNAF has ever created. If you try to remember all the lore don't bother, this is its own separated story, similar to the books!

there isn't much gore which is good so everyone can be comfortable, and it built tension really nice. had some lovely domestic moments as well.

I hope you enjoy it as much as i do and cant wait for the sequel!
