As someone whose skin at one point was so damaged, (openly weeping or just huge scabs) and therefore completely unable to grow hair, I look at my body hair and see progress.
I am proud of my body hair because it shows I've healed.
This is a reminder to everyone that you can be proud of yourself, even if it's just for surviving or healing ❤️

Got an allergy patch test done recently because of my huge flare up (I have a post about it)
I had nickel and copper excluded because when I was really little, like 5, I had a huge reaction to cut grass and they did it then (it said metals, cats, dogs, cut grass)
I was told I'm allergic to linalool, which is in a lot of natural products and essential oils, and even a lot of household products.
And unfortunately, some natural products dont have to list it as its naturally occurring, which is just really unfair, cause it means I don't know what I can and cant use.
Anyone else have this allergy?

Reminder:
Eczema is an autoimmune disorder! More than likely it will keep coming back no matter what you do.
This is not your fault. You are trying your best.
Your immune system just sucks a bit.
All the love 🖤🖤🖤

Anyone else have that one medication that has different so many different names but is the same thing and you'll only ever refer to it as the first one you heard regardless of whether or the one you have is currently called that?

My Latest Flare Up: 100% affected??? Feat. Hospital
So... I had a doctors appointment in like March (2022) because my skin was red and flaky and no matter how much fucking emollient I put it nothing would change, and basically my dad was where the fuck is all this skin coming from, you have to be infected if you're losing that much. (Spoiler alert: not infected). It was also on my scalp and made it like really thick? I thought I had a bunch of scabs but it was just hard skin
The doctor was like well... it looks like psoriasis but idk, so I'll take some photos and get it sent off
Like a week later I get a letter about an appointment at the hospital, in April, basically a whole ass month later.
And so, I go and their like wow, you are just inflamed everywhere, does it hurt?
And I'm like idk its itchy, and like the usual level of pain?
Then they admit me, so here I am flaking all over the place and just being all cold, cause did you know you lose a fuckton of body heat when you're inflamed? I didnt until I was standing there shivering and they explained. I had to drink a load of water to try and make sure my kidneys would be okay
Long story short I had an immediate change after constant liquid paraffin and steroid cream.
Everyone was surprised!! Like seriously it was a huge improvement, I got to leave 2 days later.
(I have a post with my current skin care routine, eczema style)

Day in the life of someone with extreme eczema:
Wake up - layer 50fifty (liquid paraffin) on
Wait 30 minutes - time for steroid cream!! Betnovate on body and eumovate for face
More 50fifty ×3
Zero base for face cause it's not as thick
Shower time!!!! Only soap substitutes (QV, hydromol, whichever) no shampoo :(
Scalp time!! Betacap is betnovate for your head!! GO STEROIDS
Gotta get those zinc dressings on my legs cause yay and tubular bandages go over them
Little more 50fifty
AND REPEAT AGAIN TOMORROW
(I just got out the hospital so my use of steroids creams is needed please dont use them if not needed, you need to be weaned off of them, they are steroids!!)

Here today, I am submitting a formal apology to my skin for the havoc wreaked upon it by the war that my immune system decided to wage upon my body
Skin, I am sorry, you are but an innocent casualty.
