why am i not a wizard in this life. where are my spells

so... hello. here’s an official introduction post. i’m essek (though that isn’t technically my name now--but i do like going by it), and i would love to speak to any other critical role kin. doubles are also more than welcome.

for whatever it may be worth now, i am deeply sorry for my past misdeeds, but i understand completely if others would still rather not talk with me because of them.

i have aphantasia, so my visual memories are not very clear, as a warning for anyone who hopes to talk with me about them. sometimes i will dream of memories with significant visual aspects that i cannot seem to recall with any certainty once i’ve woken up. it’s more than a little frustrating.

that said, i am not that concerned with finding any canonmates--i’d simply love the chance to talk to any sourcemates, whether we knew each other before or not :)

for so long i avoided critical role because i had an uneasy feeling i would regret learning who i was. it turns out i was right, but at the same time i also regret not listening earlier; maybe it would have been easier to reconnect with the Nein in this life before they were reminded of the way i betrayed them before we had even met. for what it's worth, i am sorry now for all the hurt i caused. i hope you're all content and untroubled in this life; it's what you deserve. please be well -essek
